    Jennifer Baer of MayJune Events Created a Fairytale Wedding

    Jennifer Baer of MayJune Events is more than a wedding coordinator; she is a remarkable, beautiful person inside and out. From the interview to our wedding day, Jennifer always put our ideas, needs, and budget at the center of all decision-making. Jennifer was incredible at listening and understanding our vision. Her attention to detail, kind and caring ways, organization and people skills, and her knowledge of the industry created the dream wedding during a pandemic. We enjoyed the wedding planning because Jennifer continually kept us informed and had timelines and check-ins that supported the process.

    Wonderful, organized, sweet, selfless soul!

    I hired Jennifer as my day-of coordinator for my wedding in May 2021. From my first call with Jennifer she was so warm and helpful. When COVID happened, we decided to postpone our wedding. Unfortunately, she was one of the only vendors who was unable to do the new date. But let me tell you, she graciously told us if she was the one standing in the way of the new date to go ahead and move forward with it. She then offered to still have our kickoff call, help me find a new coordinator, and put together a timeline, floor plans, etc. to transition. She was truly so selfless during such a stressful time, and I am so appreciative.
    As you can imagine, I was very overwhelmed during our kick off call. But Jennifer was so calming and helpful in organizing my thoughts, getting me to think about all the details I needed to start thinking about. I almost cried later that day realizing I would not have her there on my wedding day.
    You will not go wrong choosing Jennifer to be apart of your wedding day.. trust me! She is one of the sweetest, most genuine and humble souls you will meet!

    The best coordinator we could ask for

    We could not have lucked out more when we asked Jennifer to be a part of the team for our wedding. She is incredibly professional and so skillful to make sure your special day is exactly how you pictured it - and identifying all the things you didn't think about and guiding you with care, empathy, and patience the whole journey through.

    Not only is Jennifer extraordinarily good at her job, we appreciate her on a personal level - she is so committed to you as a couple, and we could not have asked for someone better to be a part of our team.

    One of A Kind!

    If you are in search of a wedding planner/day of coordinator, Jennifer of May June Weddings, is your person! We hired her as a day of coordinator but she was so much more! She is patient, detail-oriented, passionate, organized, and aspiring seamstress.

    Our policy going into the wedding was that "we are gay so we can do it our way!" Jennifer took this and ran with it like it was her own wedding! She guided us (firmly at times) but did not push.

    My husband and I had many ideas about what we wanted for our celebration but after our first meeting with Jennifer, there were so many details that we had just not thought about. There was a great amount of anxiety when we found out all the things. She calmed our anxieties and provided a steady plan of attack for us to follow. Every time we met with Jennifer, she found ways to shape our vision into a cohesive and stunning event.

    Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was the best. She even brought a sewing kit and mending my husband’s pants during the reception! She is the best! She is truly a valued professional with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

    Absolutely Amazing!

    There are truly not enough words to write how amazing Jennifer is! We hired Jennifer as our day of coordinator for our September wedding and it was the best decision we made. Jennifer is truly gifted at what she does and in her ability to be able to connect with all her clients on a personal level. She is kind, patient, calming, detail-oriented, attentive, and professional. She was extremely quick to respond when we would send her emails and somehow always remembered every detail we discussed. She never forgot any detail and coordinated with all the vendors seamlessly. And throughout the whole planning process, she makes you feel like you are her most important client! 

    When it came time for the actual wedding, she made the entire event run seamlessly and handled any issues that arose with grace and a positive attitude. My husband and I, along with our families, were able to enjoy our entire day from beginning to end because Jennifer was in control of the entire day. Our wedding guests raved that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We can't thank her enough for everything she did in making our dream day perfect.  We couldn't recommend her enough - she is the best money you will ever spend on your wedding!!

    Great Attention to detail!

    I hired Jennifer as a partial wedding planner for my September wedding. She was so organized and made me think about things that otherwise I would have forgotten! It was great to be able to email Jennifer with all of my wedding related questions (big or small) and to get advice/ guidance back! Throughout the planning process Jennifer did the behind the scenes communication with all of my vendors which took a lot of the stress away from me.

    At the wedding rehearsal Jennifer was very helpful to make sure that the whole bridal party knew what they were supposed to do. On the wedding day I was more relaxed knowing that I didn't have to worry about the small details and that if something came up Jennifer would take care of it. The whole wedding ran very smoothly and Jennifer did so much that day to make it perfect!!

    Jennifer is THE BEST!!!

    I wasn't sure how much I needed a planner/ day of coordinator until we started working with Jennifer!!! From the timeline to every vendor, she helped us organize and manage every last detail!! We can't say enough about how much she helped guide us throughout the wedding planning process and truly put us at ease when the big day came! I am so appreciative of her thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Between our family, friends, and the rest of the vendor team, everyone raved about how easy, organized and incredible MayJune Events was to work with!!! We can not thank Jennifer enough!!!!!!!!

    Absolutely Wonderful!

    Let me start by saying I don’t have enough time to write how wonderful our experience was with Jennifer. She is a true joy to work with. She is kind, attentive, and always professional. Jennifer made the whole planning process fun and easy for me and my husband. We were able to brainstorm and be creative together about our ideal wedding while she handled the logistics. I’m a huge control freak normally so the idea of planning a wedding was both exciting and terrifying. I thought it would be stressful giving her most of the reins, but it was truly the opposite! I felt liberated and happier right from the beginning. We were lucky to find her soon after our engagement when we only had our venue booked. Jennifer made every vendor decision easier for us by providing tailored, highly-rated options to choose from, each with detailed comparisons, and all while remaining extremely conscientious of our budget. She took my vision, which I’m not sure I even fully knew it yet, and completely understood ran with it from the start. She set up a timelines and checklist for us, handled all communication with vendors, and arranged check-ins so we always knew where we were in the process. For the amount of work and personalization she gave us I had to keep reminding myself that she was helping other couples as well, and that we weren’t here only client.

    Funny enough, I thought I had a pretty good idea of what it takes to plan a wedding. I had no idea of what it takes to plan a GREAT wedding. There are so many little factors she would touch on that I would have never thought of until the day of. Little things that ended up making a huge difference to us and our guests. Our main goal for the wedding was to make sure our guests had an amazing time. With Jennifer’s help we were able to have an incredible and carefree wedding day that our guests are still raving about!

    Jennifer of May June Events was wonderful!!

    Professional, organized, smart, efficient, respectful, warm, and tasteful are just a fraction of the superlatives I can give about Jennifer from May June Events! I am writing this review from the perspective of the Mother of the Bride (MOB) who, along with the father, paid for the majority of the wedding and am getting zero kick-backs or discounts to influence my review. I just wanted you to be aware because my review, like I am sure the majority of Jennifer’s clients’ reviews, probably sounds too good to be true. Well, she is really as amazing as she sounds! I will try to make this as brief as possible but there is so much to cover so I hope you can read to the end.

    We chose Jennifer after speaking with several wedding planners recommended by our venue, the lovely Morais Vineyards. It was evident that Jennifer had a lot of experience working with the venue team and that is so important. We opted to use Jennifer’s full service plan and that was the wisest decision and the best money spent for the entire wedding. The bride and groom were located in California and we are located in Northern Virginia so it could have been very difficult logistically to select vendors, schedule tastings and rehearsals, etc. The key here is effective coordination and communication and those are probably Jennifer’s most important strengths. My daughter once remarked to me that she was always shocked when Jennifer brought up something she had done at a recent wedding. “You mean she has other clients!?” Of course she does but she really makes you feel like you are her most important client and she is there for you 100 percent.

    Jennifer worked seamlessly with the bride and groom, myself and all of the vendors throughout the entire process. We had regularly scheduled Skype meetings where Jennifer kept us on track with military precision. She started with an in depth consultation with the bride and groom to really learn their sense of style, personality and vision for their big day. Based on that, she worked with all of us to establish a budget that she strictly adhered to the entire time and gently reminded us if she thought we were heading into difficulties. She also pointed out the areas, from her experience, that our money could be used most wisely. As we had never been through the wedding process, I feel that she saved us a lot of unnecessary expense and focused our money to where it would best utilized. I believe we would be considered a medium cost wedding for our area but I am sure that Jennifer would be able to work well with any budget point that was required.

    After developing a beautiful design scope with the bride and groom, Jennifer presented us with at least three vendor recommendations for each category including a detailed assessment and comparison of the proposed vendors for each category. She was very adept at discerning our various personalities and tailored her vendor selections for consideration in that direction. It made the vendor selection process proceed very quickly and painlessly. In retrospect, it gives me the cringes to think that I initially contemplated trying to pull all that together by myself with the bride and groom living across the country.

    Fast forward to the day of. It turned out just beautiful. All of the vendors worked together seamlessly and the decor, flowers, food and music were just as lovely as hoped for. It was clear that all of the vendors love working with Jennifer because they know how dependable she is. If there were any crisis that went on behind the scenes, I was not aware of them. Jennifer’s team set out and cleaned up all the decor beautifully. The photographs are just amazing! I just couldn’t be any happier with how it turned out.

    Which brings me to how painless and enjoyable Jennifer made this entire process. After observing what some of my friends have gone through in the lead up to their daughters’ weddings, I envisioned some stressful and tense moments throughout this process with my generally easy going but sometimes feisty and independent daughter. That never happened!! My daughter never turned into a bridezilla and I didn’t become an overbearing MOB. Of course there were some minor meltdowns on the day of because, even with the best of planning and I sincerely believe we had the best of planning, stuff always happens….older relatives, young children, multiple family sub-dramas lend an element that can never be fully controlled. But because of the meticulous planning on the part of Jennifer, I don’t think the day could have come any closer to the vision that my daughter and her husband had for their beautiful day.

    Absolutely fantastic!!

    Jennifer is phenomenal!! My husband and I used her for day-of coordination and cannot say enough great things about her.

    She was so easy to work with, incredibly organized, and thought of every detail to ensure our wedding was seamless. She has so much experience in this industry and with our venue (Morais Vineyards) which really helped to provide insight when we were thinking of our wedding day timeline. The resources she provided for us really helped us tackle all the wedding tasks we needed to do (or didn't even think about) without feeling so stressed the weeks and days leading up to the wedding.

    On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were able to bring our wedding vision to life and really allow us to enjoy the day with our family and friends. We never felt stressed the day of the wedding because we knew Jennifer would be there to care of all the details (and execute it beautifully too!).

    My husband believes that the wedding industry is a racket but he 100% attests that Jennifer was worth every penny. We seriously cannot thank her enough for making our day truly amazing!

    What a wonderful day!

    My husband and got I married in April 2019 and Jennifer was our day of coordinator. I can't say enough how wonderful it was working with her! Communication is always a major factor for me when considering vendors. Jennifer made sure she was always available to us throughout the entire process. If she was ever unavailable, she made sure she let us know in advance. She even made sure all upcoming deliverables were seen to in her absence. She has a wealth of knowledge and helped guide us through the wedding planning process. When we shared various ideas of what we wanted for our wedding, Jennifer made them all happen (e.g. my husband wanted wine slushy for cocktail hour, and Jennifer found a vendor who could take care of this for us). I can't imagine how our wedding would have gone without Jennifer. I don't think we would have been able to actually eat, drink and enjoy the wedding if we didn't have her there. She saw to all our needs and made sure our wedding operated like a well oiled machine. Unless you're okay with fielding dozens of questions/issues from various vendors throughout your wedding day, you need a day of coordinator like Jennifer.

    Jennifer actually made sure my wedding happened!

    I don’t even know where to begin expressing my gratitude and happiness with Jennifer and MayJune events. I was extremely skeptical about hiring a wedding coordinator, I just didn’t think we needed one. From the moment I sat down with Jennifer for our initial meeting I knew I wanted to work with her! From helping to put my fiancé at ease about all the little details to LITERALLY making sure we could be married on our wedding day! (Our officiant got sick!) Jennifer truly covered it all. We found out after our wedding that we were MayJune’s first same sex couple, and at no point during the process did we get any feeling that that was the case. I would plan a second wedding just for the opportunity to work with Jennifer again. I truly feel as though my day wouldn’t have been what it was had we chosen any other wedding coordinator . If you’re looking for a wedding coordinator that is going to make you feel like the most important couple in the world, Jennifer is the one!

    Jennifer of May June Events is a preferred coordinator for Great Marsh Estates in Bealeton, VA, where my daughter was married. She should be on every venue's preferred list!! She was an amazing wedding coordinator and even though I believe my daughter is an organized person, Jennifer's level of organization, suggestions with wedding planning and dealing with all the vendors was invaluable!! She has built so many alliances in the wedding industry, that no bride could possibly accomplish what Jennifer is able to do. She will make the weeks leading up to the wedding go so much more smoothly and on the wedding day, she is able to remove any stress from the bride because of the confidence we had in her to handle all those wedding day situations. She has an outstanding professional way about her, while also being so understanding, comforting and capable. We are going to miss Jennifer now that the wedding is over!

    We had such an amazing experience with May June Events. Jennifer worked with us to make our dream wedding a reality. She was extremely detail oriented and organized. She kept us on track with everything that needed to be completed throughout the entire process. She was such a joy to work with and my husband and I would highly recommend her!

    Jennifer was such a joy to work with and so professional from start to finish. She was very attentive to follow up on all the odds and ends that it was easy to forget about and had such a personal touch, always checking in on me, the bride to see what I might need or walking with me through last minute stressful details. She was very flexible with her schedule to meet with us when it was convenient. I also can't stress enough that she was very professional, and in a very personable and caring way.     As my sister's Matron of Honor, I wanted to help coordinate my her wedding. It wasn't long into the planning process when I knew that we were going to need a "day of coordinator". Hiring Jennifer was the best decision we made! She is very professional, thought about things we hadn't even considered and allowed me (any my sister) to sit back, relax and enjoy the wedding day without any stress!

    From the very start, we knew that Jennifer, of May June Events, would be wonderful to work with and we had so much fun along the way! She worked with us to create a package that fit our needs and budget. Following this, she provided us with so much direction and helped shape our ideas into reality. Her ability to organize and keep track of vendor contracts, to-do lists, and inspiration boards was extremely helpful. As the wedding day approached, she checked in with us on our progress and offered support as needed. She coordinated with all of the vendors to make sure everyone was set to go for the big day and provided them with copies of the timeline and venue layout. Even in moments of stress, she was always so reassuring and helped put us at ease! Our officiants were unable to attend the rehearsal at the venue the day before the wedding; however, Jennifer ran through the entire rehearsal and back-up plan while answering everyone's questions and making sure they were comfortable with the timeline! The day of the wedding, she remained just as attentive, organized, and optimistic as when we first sat down with her! She allowed us to enjoy our wedding day without having to worry about everything behind the scenes. Her professionalism, creativity, and kind and caring attitude cannot be beat!

    When we first booked our venue, we were notified that we would need a coordinator. Well, we did what any newly engaged couples did we asked for their preferred vendors list. We got the list, took it home and looked over it, while at the same time we began doing our own research on multiple wedding websites, trying to find "the perfect planner". We met and talked with several, until we decided to call MayJune Events. Instantly, we knew Jennifer was the person. She was bubbly, knew our venue well, and just had an awesome vibe about her.

    I felt comfortable with her, because she understood my vision. I simply wanted an elegant and beautiful vineyard wedding. Through the year of planning, Jennifer kept me on track with my to-do list. We met every other month or so, just to go over items on the list and to talk about the progress of the wedding. As the date grew closer, and the details were finalized I felt more and more comfortable. You know they say you're probably, you're most stressed during the last month of the wedding, well not the case for me. With Jennifer, all the details I could have ever thought about were sealed and done. I never had to doubt anything because Jennifer knew what I wanted.

    Come wedding day, we have pretty awful weather, especially for a late May wedding but Jennifer arrives in her rainboots and ready to get going. She took charge of absolutely everything. My now husband and I, had already decided to have our ceremony indoors. Well after much though, and less than 30 mins until the ceremony was set to begin...we changed our minds. Without hesitation, Jennifer came to us and said, "it will get done!". We did start the ceremony, a few minutes late (not more than 15), but it was perfect.

    Jennifer helped to coordinate everything for the bridal shoot, from cake, to flowers, to stationery, place settings, dress from Ava Laurenne, make up, venue, times and every detail was planned to the minute. her professionalism and fun nature made the day a huge success and the photos are the proof of the time and care she put into this event.     I booked May June Events for my wedding on October 11, 2015. During the initial consultation, Jennifer understood what I envisioned for my wedding. I told her we wanted a very traditional, classy, black-tie event and with her creative eye, she helped bring that to life. Jennifer went well above my expectations for a wedding planner. She is very well-organized, detail-oriented, and helpful with any questions or concerns I had throughout the wedding planning process (she is also quick to respond to any emails or phone calls). I booked her a year out prior to the wedding, and she set up monthly meetings with me and my fiancé, breaking down assignments on what tasks needed to be completed within the month. Her planning style took a lot of stress off of our plate since we both work fulltime and we had her to guide us step-by-step for each task. Along with the monthly get-togethers, she attended all meetings with the various vendors we booked.

    On the day of the wedding, she coordinated everything flawlessly. She made sure my fiancé and I did not see each other until I was walking down the aisle. Each vendor was well-aware of the wedding timeline with her in charge of the day. She directed the transportation shuttles throughout their runs & made sure we had what we wanted for food and drinks throughout the day & night. The most important part for me about her services, was that the entire day was about what we wanted and making sure that we were happy with every single detail.

    Jennifer went WAY beyond our expectations as a wedding planner. She really is more than someone who helped plan the wedding… my husband & I both consider her an amazing person and great friend! My only disappointment is, now that the wedding is over, we don't have our meetings any longer. I HIGHLY recommend her for anyone in search for wedding planning services, she made the process fun & 110% focused on what we wanted for our big day.

    Jennifer was indispensable in the weeks leading up to our wedding and on the day of. I really don't know how we would have gotten through all the last minute things without her! I would highly recommend her to any bride in the DC area who is looking for a month-of planner (or more). She was very professional and a pleasure to work with!

    I was lucky enough to stumble across May June Events and the lovely Jennifer Baer at one of the many Bridal shows I attended and immediately felt comfortable with her. We booked her as our wedding planner and she was worth every single penny and then some! My wedding had all the details that I selected during our planning meetings and yet my stress level stayed super low while I enjoyed every special detail. I recommend Jennifer and May June Events to any couples that would like a beautiful, flawless wedding day.

    I purchased the May June Events "complete package" for my wedding which included a wedding planner, Jennifer, for design meetings, monthly meetings, vendor meetings, wedding rehearsal supervision, day of coordination, and so much more. Jennifer was instrumental in coming up with the overall look and feel for both my wedding ceremony and the reception. As someone with a full time job, it was great that she had recommendations for so many amazing vendors without me having to do any of the research (which can become a full time job by itself). Jennifer was worth every penny and I would definitely recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!!

    From the moment we corresponded with Jennifer over email, we were greeted with kindness and spunk-- just the kind of combo we needed in someone to help get our ducks in a row for our big day.

    Jennifer didn't miss any detail-- she put together a (extensive) timeline which put us AHEAD of schedule (!) and made sure all the vendors knew what they were doing and that they were on time and in place.

    Some brides overlook a day-of coordinator or assign a friend/wedding guest to take on this role. I almost did. But Jennifer is a professional and does not have a conflict of interest in having fun at your wedding AND organizing your wedding-- she is just there to make sure everything is running smoothly. So don't ask a friend-- HIRE JEN!! It is so worth it, trust me!
