Working with Mary Jacobs was the only thing keeping me sane while planning our wedding. She made sure that all we had to do was show up.
During our initial meet in October 2024, we went over what our dream wedding looks like. We initially thought we were going to get married in the spring of 2026, but when we backed it up to November 2025, she said no problem and did the rest.
She found us three venues and we visited two, and when we picked our favorite, everything started falling into place.
Mary found us a venue that caters, a photographer, a DJ, a hair and makeup artist, where to get our suits, and where to get our decorations.
We had meetings every month to go over what to do next and to keep everything on track. She broke everything down into small manageable pieces so we were never overwhelmed.
Mary did all of the coordination with our vendors the whole week leading up to the wedding so all we had to do was show up.
Mary came out the night before with another member of her team, Gerri, to set up at the venue during our rehearsal dinner. We did our rehearsal, and an hour later Mary came down and told us everything was already set up. We didn't lift a finger.
On the day of the wedding is where she really shines. She did everything, and I really mean everything. She made everyone a schedule, she did all the setup, she did all the teardown, and she packed it all into our van without us having to think about anything.
Mary and Gerri stayed with us all day so that both my groom and I had someone all day to keep us on track. During the day, they kept us on track, during the ceremony they coordinated perfectly, and during the reception, she made sure we were having fun! One of her most clutch moments was coordinating with the bar to cut off a family member who became a problem. We didn't even notice.
All we did was show up. Mary Jacobs gave us the perfect wedding and I cannot recommend her enough. She is worth every penny and more. -

Mary was incredible in orchestrating the months leading up to the wedding & then for the entire day of the wedding! She kept us on track as far as the wedding timeline. She was quick to respond to any questions which was much appreciated especially when the wedding day was near. My husband and I would recommend Mary to anyone. The venue we chose required a wedding planner and we have never been so grateful! Mary’s prices are extremely reasonable for the services provided. We don’t live in the same state (or even time zone) as Mary and our venue and she was always happy to accommodate the difference to make sure it fit our schedule. She is a world of advice and never led us wrong. Mary is supportive, great with time management, and a joy to be around. On wedding day you’ll find no one more prepared than her. My bustle ripped, there she was with a sowing kit. You name it she’s there for you! There truly aren't enough words of gratitude I can say to describe my wedding day working with Mary. Mary and I worked together for the year leading up to my wedding with monthly planning calls and as-needed support via email and text throughout the year. Mary is a truly a gem. I will be very honest - in the beginning of planning I was lost and had no idea what I was doing. Mary is a tough cookie and really got me on track and up to speed. I'm a perfectionist - and Mary truly matches that energy. Every single detail of our wedding timeline was planned and executed PERFECTLY. Genuinely - not a single thing went wrong on the wedding day. I did not feel one BIT of stress or anxiety on the wedding day, knowing that Mary and her team had everything handled. My sweet husband and I were able to enjoy the best day of our lives completely and fully present - thanks to Mary and her team. I prayed for a peaceful and comfortable wedding day, and Mary truly gifted me that. I am thankful to both her and God for such a perfect day. The vendors she recommended were truly top notch. Our DJ was SO fun, our cake was delicious, and the food we got catered (Ugly Rooster) was DELICIOUS. It was not "wedding food" - it was actually GREAT FOOD. All of our guests remarked at how wonderfully thought out our wedding was - how no detail or comfort was overlooked, and how well everything flowed. That flow was all thanks to Mary and Gerry (her assistant she had with her for my wedding!).
If you are thinking about if a wedding planner is worth it - 10000000% Mary is worth every single penny.
I could go on and on about how fantastic Mary is, but I will leave you with this - at the end of the night of my wedding, all I could do was cry tears of unbridled joy with how HAPPY I was that everything went well, and that the day was absolutely perfect.

My wife and I have worked together with Mary Jacobs for over 15 years. First, as an owner of a wedding and events venue, then also at a best friend's wedding, and just last week at the 40th anniversary of our company. No one could have orchestrated any of these countless events better! Each of these events had its unique character. Mary listens. Then she co-creates. Every detail is essential. Most importantly, she stays with each event, each client, from the very conception through to the successful end. It is simply not possible to do it any better! If you are looking for a wedding planner - look no further! Mary was the absolute greatest! I know for a FACT that I would not have had the perfect wedding day that I did without her help!
I had booked my venue (the Lodge on Echo Lake) in Feb. 2022 and found Mary in Oct. 2022 (one year before my wedding). I was looking on Instagram and found her as a recommendation. I live in NJ, she is based in NY and has done many weddings at my venue before (also in NY).
I signed up with the "little more love" package that she offered which worked great for our budget & for the wedding day as well.
This was a once-a-month zoom meeting. She was extremely flexible with my schedule to set up times to meet.
As we got closer to the wedding, the venue's coordinator was NOT great in communication and THANK GOODNESS for Mary, she followed up until we got the answers that we needed for setting up and for communicating with all of the other vendors.
All of my other vendors were very impressed with her communication skills as well and ensuring everyone was on the same page with the timeline.
She beautifully set up the centerpieces and all other decorations that I had brought and DIY'd, it really was the most beautiful day!
I could not have done it without her, I am just sad that I don't have another big event coming up to plan with her again! -

Having Mary Jacobs as our wedding coordinator was a godsend. My husband and I were in way over our heads, trying to plan an Adirondack wedding from New Mexico. We were overwhelmed and rudderless, not knowing what needed to be done and in what order. As soon as we had Mary on our team, things were not only manageable, but fun and exciting! Mary helped us assemble our dream team of vendors, she gave us monthly tasks to complete, was always available via email or text, and overall ensured that we were on target with literally every aspect of our wedding planning timeline. In addition, Mary really listened to our desires, and helped us plan a wedding day that was as special and unique to us as possible. On our actual wedding weekend, completely Mary took the reins, ensuring that my husband and I had absolutely no worries on our wedding weekend. When it almost downpoured during our ceremony I like to think that it was Mary's super powers that kept it at bay allowing us to get married outside; she is that good. I can honestly say that hiring Mary as our wedding coordinator was the best decision we made when planning our wedding! She is organized, well connected, takes charge, and incredibly kind and caring. Mary is worth far more than her weight in gold. Mary will make sure your day is YOUR day. You feel her what you want and she will make sure of it. I could NOT have imagined planning this day or doing that day without her. She is organized, professional, loving, stern, kind…. I’ve be been to many a wedding and no one will run your wedding smoother than her! We got this wonder woman through ugly rooster cafe, all together for DELICIOUS food and (again) Wonder Woman was 11,000. Trust me people it pays to not set up and break down your own stuff. If you’re looking for a wedding planner, there are three words you need to know:
Hire. Mary. Jacobs.
Our rehearsal and wedding were beyond perfect and that wouldn’t have been possible without Mary (and Murph). Walking into our tent for the first time and seeing everything set up exactly how we pictured it was such an incredible feeling. Literally not a single detail was missed.
To be honest, when we were first starting to plan our wedding, I kept saying “we don’t need a planner! We can manage everything ourselves! How hard can it be!” And then the day came, I looked around at guests arriving and other vendors bustling around, saw Mary fixing a chair that was about half an inch off, and said to myself “yea ok I get it. No ******* WAY I could have done this myself.”
Planning a wedding is beyond stressful. But having Mary with us throughout the whole process made things SO much easier. If we had a problem or concern, Mary was right there with an immediate solution. Any time we were freaking out about something, Mary was right there with her calming demeanor saying “guys….it’s ok. I’ve got you and I’ve got this.”
One of my groomsmen came up to me during cocktail hour and said “this is incredible. Everything is perfect. How did you manage to pull this off?” I scan the area, see Mary sewing a guest’s dress that had a little tear, pointed to her and said “I didn’t. That amazing woman over there did.”
We can’t recommend Mary enough. Because of her, we not only gained amazing memories that will last a lifetime, but we also gained a friend. Mary is just an incredible human being. Again, three words:

Completely Invaluable
Mary was a wonderful help through the entire process. We worked with her for a little over a year and she kept us on track the whole time with monthyl check ins to make sur emy wife wasnt panicing. She understood exactly what we were looking for in out special day and wa sable to put us into contact with vendors that fit our needs perfectly.
My wife and I like to joke that we got her default package because everytime Mary recommended someone we would immediately click with them and say yes, this is who we are going with for venue, catering, DJ, Officiant, etc etc.
Mary has a super helpful network of connections and is clearly experienced at bringing everything together without letting the couple worry about just how much work is going on int he background. -

We were on the fence about getting a wedding planner - I was mostly on the "yes let's do it side" whereas our parents didn't think it was needed. When I tell you Mary Jacobs was the absolute best part of my wedding and planning, I'm not exaggerating. She was worth every. single. penny. and then some! She made sure that we were all planned for all the little things that we didn't think of. The big stuff we had down, the venue, vendors, etc. We were a pretty easy couple if I do say so myself. But when we needed her, she was there. An actual lifesaver before the wedding, during the wedding, and after. I guess a few things happened or went wrong at the wedding and I'm honestly still none-the-wiser. She handled everything and I just followed the timeline and had the time of my life. She fixed my hair when it was dying and sewed my bustle when we couldn't find how to! If you're even slightly considering a wedding planner, just do it. My now husband and I had just moved across the country, started new and very demanding jobs, and wanted to plan our wedding within 10 months. We would not have been able to manage without Mary!
Mary founds us fantastic options for venue and vendors without overwhelming us and helped us understand the many many things that one does not know about planning weddings until you find yourself planning one! She was always willing to hear us out on quirky ideas, identify unseen impracticalities of some of these ideas, and in some case counter with even more outrageous and memorable suggestions (e.g. Mary brought out a katana for us to use during our cake cutting after we feigned that using a normal knife was not enough! A wonderful collaboration of humor indeed :) ).
Mary is direct yet patient, oodles of fun, incredibly knowledgeable, and totally sanity saving!!! Our wedding weekend was (no exaggeration) perfect! Mary crafted the perfect team for executing an unforgettable, joyous, and seemingly effortless wedding weekend that for us was completely stress free! So many of our friends who have seen many of their friends get married commented -- "you are the least stressed out couple I've ever seen!" -- that's because we had Mary. Mary we love you! Where do we even begin? Mary Jacobs is a DREAM! Planning our wedding was the most stressful experience of our lives, until we hired Mary. Mary took the reins with her oversized binder that contained every inch of information about what we wished for our wedding day. She listened to us, brought us down to earth at times, reassured us, and offered us a truly safe and supportive place to voice our concerns, questions, etc. She made sure we were smiling and happy throughout the entire process from initial bookings to the end of our wedding night. Mary is incredible. I truly do not know how to put into words just how much my husband and I appreciate everything she did to make our wedding day so perfect. Our wedding was Dr Who themed and Mary is a Whovian, too, so she was a great fit for our wedding! She was happy to work with us as we planned from abroad as well as to help us with communication issues with other vendors that arose from such. Every time we talked to her she was so positive it was infectious. When we got to our ceremony room and found it a bit bland, she helped us throw together a beautiful backdrop last minute and even lent us a cute Dr Who clock for it. It was so beautiful! She kept everything moving smoothly and even reminded me not to slouch when I was getting tired during family portraits, which I really needed. There were so many things that we didn't think of, even leading up to the wedding, that she reminded us of and helped us plan. She was an invaluable part of our wedding day! -

Working with Mary for two years (postponed Covid wedding) was such a wonderful experience! She was thrown tremendous obstacles with the pandemic and was always incredibly transparent, supportive and loving. I'm talking comforting us during unknowns, meltdowns, having to cut down our list, and having to think about dancing pods... No easy task.
She is professional, detail-oriented, and listens to her couples. Most importantly she respects us which is truly something to mention. Not all vendors are this way, or as responsive as her. She is timely in her communication and made sure we stayed on top of our deadlines. Having a planner was never something I thought I "needed" but now having gone through it all, I can't imagine not having one -- and having her was the cherry on top! -

June microwedding
We had to cancel our big ceremony and reception but decided to still get married on June 20,2020. Mary has not only been extremely helpful in planning our big (now) vow renewal next year, but she was an absolute crucial part of making our intimate microwedding this year go as perfectly as it did! My mother can’t stop bragging about how helpful she was with everything from planning details to the ceremony itself and helping with the small reception at my parents afterwards! I normally skip the overly positive reviews, but I recommend you read this one. I'll split it into the main areas where Mary was an indispensable god-send who made our wedding the dream that it was. If I could give her 10 out of 5 stars, I would!
Planning: Our process started 1.5 years ago with the idea of a lake wedding in New Hampshire and morphed into a weekend wedding in the redwood trees in California, Mary was an absolutely incredible supporter, encourager, advice-giver, and "make-it-happen" person through the enter process. She helped work through the pros and cons of all options, identify what really mattered to us and then focus on that, and then did extensive amounts of research to give us options to choose from.
Decision making: Did I mention we planned the whole wedding while on opposite sides of the country? Mary was incredibly patient and accommodating, working through shared spreadsheets, copious emails, and many video calls. She thoroughly reviewed all contracts and worked with all the vendors (or friendors as she calls them!) to ensure there were no gotchas and that everyone was clear. This was a HUGE help because I didn't know what to look for in a wedding or what things might make my life easier or harder on the day of, Mary did and solved for it preemptively!
Dress finding: I thought I wanted one thing and I ended up with COMPLETELY the opposite, and I couldn't have loved it more. Mary got me to try on shapes and cuts that I never would have chosen that were way more flattering on my body. She also knew exactly what was needed for the bustle and all alterations. Her connections and experience made this process straight forward and fool-proof.
Execution: Once the decisions were made, Mary laid out a clear month-by-month plan on how to get there. I was very busy with work at the time and her planning expertise enabled the dream to be built on time and without forgetting anything.
Weekend of: Mary went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the wedding party knew where to be, what to do, and how to get help. This meant we went into the weekend excited knowing that it was all under control. Mary turned to me and said "you are now a guest at your wedding" and it was SO true, she held everything together beautifully and enabled me to not worry or stress. Mary ensured that the vendors knew our vision and then were able to execute on it perfectly. I cannot imagine the weekend without her expertise, strength, and love.
Wrap up: Everyone should hire Mary. I heard so many stressful stories about weddings before we got married and now I'm that person that has to say "I'm sorry to hear that... mine was absolutely amazing and could not have gone better!", Mary is the reason for that. She problem-solved on the fly, acted as catering manager, solved issues with the flowers, coordinated all the wedding party and family, and genuinely was a delight to be around. Countless people turned to me and said "that was the best wedding I've ever been to!" and that was thanks to Mary.
Seriously though, hiring Mary was the best decision we made (except for deciding to marry each other). I recommend you hire her too! -

Mary Jacobs went above and beyond to plan, organize and deliver my daughter's dream wedding.
Mary guided us through all the planning stages, keeping us on schedule for 18 months of planning, evaluating all possible event locations (on both sides of the country) she even made a site visit to California and helped us find vendors there who were a good fit with our vision.
Everything was perfect on the big day, and we attribute that 100% to Mary's hard work before, and during our four-day wedding event.
Many of our guests who had planned weddings were astounded by the relaxed bride and family and said: "I wish I had Mary for my wedding ..she is amazing!"
There are not enough stars in the sky to rate Mary she is THE BEST! -

We cannot say enough about Mary! She was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, she was there for us for everything. She helped us through literally every step, up to and including calming us after less than half the flowers arrived for the bouquets the day before the wedding to without blinking an eye being able to change seating and ceremony when key guests were unable to attend with short notice (one even as she was flipping the room for the reception) , AND to helping replace the caterer 28 HOURS before. Then, even the day of making dress alterations on not only a bridesmaid, but the BRIDE as well, and helping the groom with a defective necktie! All through the day of 107 degree heat, with a slipped disc, and on her own 10 year anniversary--you would have never known, she didn't miss a beat or any detail. Her professionalism and outright friendship has a very true and dear place in our hearts! No issue, no matter how big or small was ever an issue at all to her. Without her, our day not only would probably not have been as perfect, but we don't even know if it would have happened at all. PLUS, she has been a tremendous help to our photographer as he himself learns the business. From Day 1 Mary was an absolute joy to work with, and we would recommend her tenfold to anyone! We only wish there was a 10 star rating on here. We hope this review is at least a fraction of the amount of help that she gave us...WE LOVE MARY!!! -

I truly do not have the words to describe how amazing Mary is. You can tell she loves what she does because it shines through in her work. She is extremely detail-oriented, leaving nothing overlooked, but she doesn't lose the big picture. She saved our wedding from one disaster after another, from making boutonnieres on the floor of the church the morning of the wedding because they didn't come in with the rest of our floral arrangements, to sewing my dress after the bustle broke, to arranging last minute table designs, running interference with a less than stellar venue, to so much more that I probably don't even know happened because she's just that good. She does all this with a smile on her face and a pep in her step even when we were all melting from the heat. She was such a blessing to have on our side. This anxious bride felt supported and calm despite unexpected challenges because Mary was right there whenever needed, usually before I even knew I needed her. Before the end of the night, just about every member of our bridal party was asking for her business card so they could hire her for their weddings. I didn't know I needed a coordinator until I had one and I couldn't think of a better one than Mary. If you want a wedding planner that treats you like family and always has a hug and a kind word ready, then you need to have Mary on your team. A million thank you's to you, Mary! We love you! -

If I could give MJ and her team more than 5 stars, I wouldn’t hesitate to do it. From the moment we met to the very last minute of our big day Mary was there to answer questions, calm our nerves and do LITERALLY anything else we asked.
I don’t think there are enough words of thanks or praise to truly express what a blessing having MJ there for our big day was, so I’ll leave it at this...If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond for you AND your guests. If you’re looking for someone who will get on the floor and change your shoes for you and make you laugh while she’s doing it, someone who has an answer before you’ve even finished asking the question and someone who truly radiates how much she loves and cares about her brides(and grooms) then hire MJ and her team. -

My husband and I got married on August 18, 2018 but we only brought Mary on board as a day-of coordinator less than 2 months before our big day. What's most important to know is that, with Mary and her expertise, our wedding never would have been so amazing, perfect, flawless, etc. ( I could truly go on forever). We had our wedding at a private estate booked through a home-sharing website and I had taken it upon myself to coordinate all of the necessary vendors. It wasn't until we were down to the wire on finalizing everything that I realized just how much help I needed to really make this wedding happen. When I first messaged Mary, she responded very quickly and provided me with all of the paperwork I needed to fill out to help her do her job to the best of her abilities. Given the price of her day day-of package, my husband and I truly think Mary was underselling herself. Each member of our wedding party, along with our families and of course, the vendors, were very receptive to Mary and when things went wrong, we never knew it. I could go on and on about how amazingly intense but wonderful it was to have Mary be a part of our special, but I would run out of room. If you are planning your wedding and looking for a wedding coordinator of any capacity, PLEASE choose Mary Jacobs.
