Being a LUX Bride is truly the BEST! I have never felt more beautiful in my life and all of my bridesmaids looked like legit movie stars. The team at Lux is so talented and professional. They also go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. Literally one of their hairstylists climbed a train to make sure I could have a second look on my big day! You can trust the LUX team to make all of your hair and makeup dreams come true. If you get the opportunity to request a makeup artist, I highly recommend Renee. We got married this past April, and hired LUX for hair and makeup. From start to finish, Tanya (hair) and Jena (makeup) were excellent to work with and we couldn’t be happier with how they did. The bridesmaids looked so beautiful and the experience was fantastic. From the planning stage to the day-of, everything was smooth and communication was clear and timely. I did the hair & makeup trial and they did amazing and were so sweet and helped me tweak a few things to get it perfect. We had Tanya do the groom’s hair as well and he looked great! She did amazing, especially considering she had to figure out how to fix his hair because he was wearing a hat all morning lol!! I truly have never felt prettier than I did that day, and my bridesmaids and moms looked absolutely stunning as well. I had such a great experience with Lux and I am truly so glad that I went with them for my wedding. Starting from the first inquiry, to the trial, to the day of, communication was super quick and helpful. For makeup, I was paired with Veronica Aguilar and I could not have been luckier. Veronica executed my dream look perfectly! She was so kind and really made me feel special both for my trial session (which also happened to be my bridal portrait day) and on my big day. After my trial, the venue owner (during my bridals) said my makeup was the best he had seen in a while and was so impressed with how it looked after several hours. For hair, I was paired with Sandra Mach and let me tell ya, she is magical. I showed her two pictures before my trial that were different from my original inspiration pictures and she made my hair better than pinterest- not even being a little dramatic! Looking at the sneak peeks from our photographer, I am so impressed with how my hair and makeup lasted throughout the whole night!! I had 8 other girls getting hair and make up (in 4 hours- yikes but Lux made it happen!) There were 3 other stylists helping us that morning and every one of them was so kind and prompt and everyone loved their look at the end of the day. I'm so impressed with Lux beauty and am very happy I chose them for my HM. The team is very professional and worked with me with my preferences. It was difficult for me to find a hair and makeup artist in the Austin area that could work well with east and south asian complexions and Jena, my makeup artist did such an amazing job with me and my bridal party! She listened to me and worked with my picky preferences which made me feel like she truly cared how we looked and felt! Ariana also did a great job with all of our hair and helped it last even though it rained during the ceremony. Initially, I had a trial with different hair artist with the team who did a good job, but was not able to create the specific look I envisioned. The company worked with me to book with Ariana instead and took the time to listen and work with me so I would feel comfortable for the wedding. I've had many other makeup artists at friends weddings and was never truly happy with the looks they created, but Lux was able to exceed my expectations and truly delivered!! Working with LUX for my hair and make-up services was one of the best decisions we made! They did beautiful work, with many of my bridesmaids saying that it was the best wedding makeup they had ever had done. Joanna and Andrea were our two lead artists and were easy to work with, friendly, professional, and experts in their craft. I did a trial session with the two of them prior to our wedding day and they were open to feedback to get it perfect (although I didn't have much to give, since it already looked perfect). On the day of the wedding, they arrived early and staying on schedule the whole time. I also loved that LUX put together a detailed timeline from the start, so there was no question about how to fit everyone in. LUX helped me coordinate my trial with Jo, who is an incredible artist with the sweetest spirit and more than 20 years of industry experience! She is a hair wizard and her makeup skills and knowledge are beyond impeccable! She made me feel my absolute best at both my trial and on my wedding day and listened intently to every bit of feedback or question I had. I am so glad I went with LUX! Working with LUX was so seamless! They were very responsive and helpful every step of the way. I had to book them a little last minute (less than one month away). My trial was only a few days before the wedding since we don't live in town, and Caitlyn's communication helped me feel at ease about it being a last-minute booking.
Tanya took care of my hair. She looked at a few inspo photos and turned my hair into a masterpiece that was better than any of the photos I had shown her!
Jena covered our makeup. I loved how she took her time and paid attention to every detail. She accommodated my questions during my trial and everything carried over seamlessly to our wedding day.

I am so happy I found this vendor for my wedding. They did such an exceptional job during the trial and at my wedding, and they made me feel absolutely gorgeous. Rachel Galindo worked with my curly hair to make me feel like a princess and added some levity and calm to my day when I was a little tense! Cassidy Brown helped make me look like I was in my 20s again (I know it took a lot) and so many people told me that I looked gorgeous that day! I am so thankful I chose Lux for my bridal hair and makeup. They have been amazing to work with throughout the entire process. I made several changes and they were always accommodating. We had an early start time, 12 people needing services, and a location change and they rocked it all - they were on time, efficient and were ready for us to continue services at the venue. Everyone in my party looked amazing and they girls were so incredible. Tanya, Veronica, Emily and Gabrielle were so nice and I’m glad they spent the morning with us getting everyone ready. Amazing Hair/Makeup Team!
Lux beauty were amazing to work with! They were very responsive, developed a whole hair and makeup timeline for me, and Randall and Rachel made me and my whole bridal party look gorgeous. They were able to work with a variety of hair types and my makeup looked fresh all night. My photographer told me that hair and makeup always runs late but was shocked when they were done early! I hired LUX for a bridal trial, and hair/makeup for myself and three bridesmaids. Gabi and Tanya have great energy individually and together as a team. I had a few notes after my trial and they both were able to roll those into my final look on wedding day and I felt beautiful. One of my bridal tribe is nonbinary and Gabi and Tanya were wonderful on working with them to achieve the look they wanted. I’ve always been a little more androgynous on the feminine scale so when I came time for my wedding, I was really nervous about hair and makeup in particular. I wanted to look like myself with short hair and natural makeup without having to pay the cost of a traditional bride hair and make up. However, I also didn’t want to shortchange my bridal party who all have long hair ranging from stick straight to Shirley Temple curly. LUX had the perfect package for me. As an androgynous bride, I went with their gender neutral service that gave me light hair styling, and basic skin retouching. My bridesmaids had the “I Do crew” package with hair and makeup. Everyone was really satisfied with the flexibility of the hair stylist and the makeup stylist.
My makeup stylist Sara Shaikhzadeh was very nice and gave me some excellent tips for hydrating my skin when I went in for my initial makeup trial. She listened to all of my thoughts and I really loved the look she gave me for my wedding day. I felt like she highlighted all of my best features! She also did an excellent job setting the look for the day. I have a bad habit of scratching at my face and ruining makeup, but whatever she used stayed on all day, and felt really light.
My hair stylist Ashley Nixon was also very nice and did a wonderful job on my hair! I love using styling gels on a regular basis, but they can be a little stiff looking. She listened to my concerns about stiffer gels and worked with my hair until it was light and textured, but stayed in place all night long despite my aggressive dancing. She also did an excellent job working with all the different hair textures of my bridesmaids. Everyone was really happy with their looks and had no problem dancing the night away without one hair moving out of place.
I really enjoyed working with LUX and I would recommend them to anyone for any big events or even if you’re just looking for a makeover day! They were great to work with, and I would definitely book with them again.LUX Beauty & Bridal's reply:

The BEST HMU Team in Austin!
Booking Lux Beauty & Bridal for the hair and makeup for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made for our vendor team!
Sidney was my makeup artist (and she did my hair and makeup for my rehearsal dinner) and Erin was my hair stylist for the wedding day. Both Sidney and Erin were incredible, kind, and patient throughout the trial and on the wedding day. I didn't know exactly what I wanted for my hair and makeup and somehow they were able to take my scattered ideas and create the exact look I was hoping for! The hair and makeup for my mom and bridesmaids was also stunning!
My hair normally does not keep a curl, but somehow my updo stayed in place throughout the entire day (and we had our HMU done at 7am). I was shocked that after dancing on a party bus, crying during speeches, our first dance, and all night on the dance floor, my hair and makeup still looked just as beautiful as it did at the start of the day.
It was really great that the prices for services are listed clearly on their website along with lots of photos of past weddings worked. My questions were always answered quickly and everyone was extremely helpful when I needed guidance and last minute changes made. I really liked that the bridal package included hair and makeup the day before the wedding for our rehearsal dinner as well!

I am SO happy I chose Lux for my wedding day hair & makeup. From the moment I booked with them, they were super nice, extremely responsive, and very organized. As someone who doesn't do a ton of glam (I honestly barely wear makeup), I was really concerned that I wouldn't look like me on my wedding day. But my artist, Tanya, was amazing. She clearly took a lot of time to look at the pictures I sent over before my trial, and listened to me whenever I had feedback or wanted slight changes (which was barely ever, because as I said, she was amazing). She was also so sweet and kind on the actual day, quietly checking in with me at random moments to remind me to breathe. Overall just an incredibly calming presence, which as the bride is very much needed! Tanya also did my mom's hair, and it looked AMAZING. My mom barely ever gets dressed up, and she didn't really have any ideas of what she wanted, but Tanya crushed it and made her hair look like a movie star's, but my mom still looked like my mom. So happy I went with Lux Beauty & Bridal for wedding day hair and makeup!
Randall (@randall_beauty) did my, my mom’s, and my bridesmaids’ makeup and we all loved it!! My makeup looked great after the trial and she was really easy to talk to about any edits I wanted to make. All of the girls loved the way their makeup turned out on the day of and Randall gave a ton of tips my bridesmaids asked about throughout the day. My wedding day makeup lasted for 12+ hours, through many happy tears and some sunny photo ops. I was so impressed as I’ve never had makeup stay that well before. 10/10!!
Ashley (@hair_by_ash7) did my hair in an updo and my mom and bridesmaids’ hair down. My trial didn’t turn out exactly as I’d hoped but she was very nice and willing to pivot day-of to a different look that I loved! It lasted all night and I got a lot of compliments. Professional, efficient, warm
The talented stylists at LUX blew me and my bridal party out of the water. They worked through the seven of us like clockwork, and had my diverse group in skin tone and hair type looking incredible. LUX was amazingly accommodating and communicative when changes came up (Mom decided she did want hair and make up after all, location changes). I mainly booked because they offer a non-binary package, which I signed up my then-fiancé for. He is a “no frills” guy, but LUX zoomed over, fixed his hair and covered a pimple, and had him feeling more confident than ever in his life. “So I have to wash this makeup off tonight or can I sleep in it?”

I felt gorgeous!
SOOOO much fun and made me feel like a princess. I don't wear a lot of makeup normally, just tinted moisturizer and mascara so I get so nervous anytime someone does my makeup. Lux Beauty and Bridal was all I could have hoped for! Myself, my 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and groomswoman had the best experience. Everyone was SO pleased with their hair and makeup, our LUX team made sure of it. I have never felt so beautiful in my life. All 3 of our artists traveled to our venue and were all fantastic, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable! All 3 of our artists stuck to the schedule they sent prior to the wedding, and we even had cushion time at the end to fix any hair or makeup. Penny was my lead hair artist and seriously phenomenal. I changed my hairstyle last minute from the trial, and she immediately went into action. All of my bridesmaids, including my MOH who is VERY picky about her curly black hair, showed her a picture and she was able to do it on the spot. She was very flexible and SUPER easy to talk to. Mayte is a makeup master! My bridal party had various skin types/colors and she was able to BEAUTIFULLY accommodate every single one of them. I had messaged Mayte about changes to the makeup from the trial, and she was very agreeable/accommodating. Our mothers and grooms-woman’s hair and makeup was done by Jennifer and she also did an incredible job! I was nervous about finding a makeup artist because as a black woman I haven't had the best luck with people knowing how to use colors that work with my skin. I expressed this to LUX, and they matched me with the perfect makeup artist, Alex Quiroz. He was very diligent and friendly, and I loved my makeup! I received so many compliments, and he did a wonderful job with my all of my bridesmaids who are varying ethnicities. The hairstylist they provided also did a great job with my bridesmaids. Amazing artists and well organized
I had the best experience with all of the stylists that got me and my bridal party ready for my wedding! We had me (bride), my mom, plus seven bridesmaids who all got hair & makeup done and they sent me a schedule to alleviate all worries about timing and even provided everyone touch ups before heading to the ceremony. I had a lot of stress about hair and makeup before booking LUX Beauty & Bridal (like multiple anxiety dreams) but once we did my trial, they all went away. LUX Beauty & Bridal was amazing! I felt amazing on my wedding day and DREADED having to take off my makeup at the end of the night. I do not think my hair has ever looked as good as it did that day. They did such a great job. They were very punctual and we got the ball rolling as soon as they came in. I had 9 bridesmaids and 3 moms for hair and makeup and they really served up some looks. Everyone was able to pick whatever hair and makeup they wanted, and LUX really did a great job. Everyone loved their hair and makeup and it all went together even though everyone was different. The makeup photographed so well and it made the pictures look so much better. I told them what time pictures were and they created a schedule to make sure everyone was done by that time and we did not fall behind schedule at all. Everyone was dressed and ready for pictures when they were supposed to which started the day ahead of schedule. They were easy to talk to which made getting ready so much fun. The team at LUX Bridal and Beauty exceeded my expectations. For a little background, I own a wedding planning company based in Chicago but decided to elope near Austin. I have gotten my hair and makeup done many times back home but given our short turnaround for securing vendors (the elopement was sort of last minute), I had no time to do a hair and makeup trial. I submitted some inspo photos prior to the elopement and come wedding day, I shared a few more, and truly both the hair and makeup ladies knocked it out of the park. I specifically worked with Gabi (makeup) and Kelley (hair). It was an early start to the day at an Airbnb (in the middle of no where) but they both still showed up early, in a good way! They were on time and left me plenty of time to get dressed and get to my ceremony. They were both also so kind and a delight to spend my wedding morning with. There was laughs and great conversation which really got me feeling relaxed which is important for your wedding.

LUX was so amazing to work with! They are professional and respond quickly to emails. I booked my trial the same day as my bridal portraits and was very nervous but they made the experience so much fun! Everyone is so sweet and made me feel beautiful and confident!!
Veronica did my makeup and Kelley did my hair for my bridal portraits and wedding. They took such good care of me and my wedding party! My makeup was completely flawless and lasted through sweat and tears. At the end of the night, my makeup looked just as good as when it was first done!
On the morning of my wedding I asked Kelley to do tighter curls, because my curls fell quickly the day of my hair trial. When she finished my hair, the curls were very loose and not what I had asked for. She admitted she did looser curls than what I had asked for, but she quickly started fixing them. The mistake made us run about 30 minutes behind, but thankfully we left space in the schedule incase anything ran behind. The end result was perfect and my hair looked gorgeous all day! LUX goes above and beyond for everyone and are the only ones I recommend for hair and makeup!LUX Beauty & Bridal's reply:

I absolutely loved LUX for my wedding hair and makeup! I had Veronica for my makeup and Pennie for my hair and both did an amazing job!!! I got the bridal package that included the hair and makeup trial, and they were VERY accommodating with my schedule (since I don't live in Austin and was trying to also schedule my bridal shoot the same day). I was originally hesitant in booking LUX for my makeup because I don't typically wear a lot of makeup, but they perfectly captured the "soft glam" look I really wanted! On the day of, my lashes stayed on and I didn't really need a touch up except for lips!
I also booked 8 bridesmaids hair, 2 bridesmaids makeup, and 2 moms hair/makeup for the day of and we finished everything on schedule. They all really loved their looks too! All artists were receptive to any changes or tweaks needed. They wore masks throughout and were very kind and respectful. Hiring Caitlyn, Trey and their team at LUX was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Their whole team was incredibly professional, talented and genuinely fun to be around. I had Caitlyn for my hair and Trey for my makeup for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding, and I was so happy with the end result for both. Everyone on their team is so talented and personable. It was really important to me that my bridesmaids felt their best, and LUX made that happened. Every single girl LOVED both their hair and makeup and felt like a princess. It made me so happy to see everyone so confident with their glam -- no one made any adjustments once the artists had left for the day, which I think is super telling of how much they loved their looks. Getting ready with the girls in the bridal suite was one of my favorite parts of the entire day and LUX contributed greatly to that. I also hired Caitlyn and Trey for touchups throughout the wedding day, and they were always on hand to make sure I looked picture perfect. LUX has been one of the most incredible teams to work with. From adding on services, to changing the get ready location days before my wedding and everything in between - LUX was there ready to tackle on my request with grace and patience. Their willingness to adjust and adapt to last minute changes was incredible (due to rainy weather on the day of, schedule changes multiple times with family members anxious about COVID, and more). The artist's attention to detail in the hairstyles and makeup skills they provides was spot on. Each artist took the time to ensure every one of the girls loved their hair and makeup before moving on. I loved getting to know members of the LUX team. I had booked my hair to be done for my engagement photos and fell in love with it so much that I had to quickly add a Glam session to get my hair done for my rehearsal dinner. My wedding day hair and makeup was breathtaking and I truly felt so beautiful. I highly recommend LUX Beauty & Bridal if you are a Bride looking for a team that is passionate about what they do. LOVED working with LUX Beauty. Pennie and team are incredible at what they do. I opted for an old Hollywood glamour look (pinned waves + classic makeup), and they delivered above and beyond.
My typical beauty look is SUPER casual. My skin is fussy, and my hair is ALWAYS in a ponytail or bun, so this look was going a bit outside my typical look, but I still felt like myself (that was my biggest fear - feeling/looking overly done up and not like myself).
I believe Pennie did an amazing job of identifying my best features and enhancing them in a way so I still felt natural and gorgeous.
If you have multiple people in your bridal party that want hair and/or makeup done, this is your crew. They are super organized, responsive, and so accommodating (they even added in a bridesmaid's makeup the week before the wedding and built out the morning schedule for me so I could keep everyone organized).

I wish I could write a whole novel about how amazing LUX Beauty & Bridal were throughout the entire process leading up to my wedding. Renee was our lead make up artist and let me tell you, we LOVED HER!!!! Her personality lit up the entire room, we were able to be ourselves, play our music, and had so much fun getting ready in large part to her! It wasn’t that awkward silence or forcing conversation while getting your make up done, it was wonderful!!! Sandra was our lead hair stylist and she was amazing as well! They executed my inspiration photos and made me feel so beautiful for my wedding. Caitlyn & Trey really made me feel like a beauty queen! I discovered them at one of the Austin Bridal shows and instantly felt connected to them. They are so friendly and fun, you definitely want them by your side on your big day! We had a very large bridal party, so they also brought in Sandra and Pennie to help out, they did a fabulous job. Each one of my bridesmaids looked stunning and I heard zero complaints. The lashes they use are amazing and my makeup looked great all night long! I had long extensions in my hair and Caitlyn made sure we adjusted the schedule so they would have plenty of time to set, and they turned out so perfect!! I was super picky about this vendor for my wedding as I am very particular about my hair and makeup. I am beyond happy that I chose Lux Beauty and Bridal to make me look my best on my big day. They were super organized and kind. They had reasonable prices. Caitlyn was amazing with hair and she worked with me until my hair was 100% what I wanted on my big day. Bless her as I did have a few picky bridal moments and she handled them patiently and like a champ and my hair looks amazing in my pictures. Trey is next level amazing at makeup. I am seriously in awe of his talent. His makeup look is still natural but he works his magic and contour and makes you look glamorous and beautiful. First off I have to say Alex was amazing! He did both hair and makeup and I can not tell you how amazing it all was. I told him I wanted to be more on the dramatic side for my wedding and he came through. I honestly felt so incredibly beautiful for my special day. My daughters that were in my wedding looked stunning. His braids were just like the pictures they were unbelievably beautiful. I would recommend Alex all day long. Caitlyn and Trey are just AMAZING! They are so in tune with what's on trend with hairstyles and glam makeup looks. Caitlyn worked with me the week of the wedding to change the my wedding hairstyle to something I would love more, she made great suggestions, and worked with my halo extensions. Trey ran ahead of schedule the entire time and my makeup stayed put all night. Hiring Caitlyn and Trey of LUX Beauty and Bridal for my wedding day was easily one of the best decisions I could have made. From the beginning they were responsive, helpful, and even accommodated my need to reschedule my trial-multiple times. They were very punctual and sent me a schedule early on- and stuck to it. BEST Makeup Artists In Austin
The quality of work that Lux did for my wedding was outstanding. I let my bridesmaids choose their own makeup and hair styles. Me and All of my bridesmaids got the exact look we wanted. We felt and looked like stars on the red carpet. We had a blast with the artists which is important when getting ready for your wedding.
