Lori is the BEST!

Lori did my hair and make-up for my wedding on October 12, 2019 and she did an amazing job! I would highly recommend her. She is very down to earth yet very fun and easy to talk to. Lori made me feel beautiful despite some acne and pigmentation that I felt was going to ruin my wedding day. She made me look like a princess, which is just what I wanted. Thank you Lori!

Love her !

Lori was one of my favorite vendors to work with for my wedding. Fun, professional and knowledgeable, she was able to work with a wide variety of ladies in my bridal party (including two who don’t wear makeup), and all were satisfied with the results but also the process. Lori knows what she is doing, was flexible to work with and very knowledgeable and competent. Plus she made me look 10 years younger on my wedding day. A joy to work with, would highly recommend!

Great wedding experience

I used Lori for my hair and make up last year for my wedding. She was great and I loved my look! We really got to know each other well and her team was very professional. We had 13 members getting hair and make up done and everyone looked absolutely fabulous!

Best Choice

Lori was an amazing choice as my wedding hair and makeup artist. She truly is an artist. I have had my makeup done for many weddings and never has my skin looked so natural yet flawless. She took direction well and made sure I looked (and most importantly felt!) beautiful on my wedding day. My wedding party also all loved her. She felt like a friend from the very beginning and I plan to use her again as soon as I have another occasion!

Lori did an incredible job on my hair and make-up for my wedding and I can't thank her enough. I don't ordinarily wear much make-up; I wanted to look polished for our wedding but still myself. Lori hit these notes perfectly. My trial session with Lori was super enjoyable, too, and she was very helpful and patient as we tried several options (some I hadn't thought about and loved!). Lori was a delight to work with and is a super talented artist. I felt like I could be honest and open with her about what I liked and didn't like, and most importantly, I felt super comfortable and 100% myself on our wedding day. Thank you, Lori!

Lifesaver!

Lori literally came to my rescue when the company scheduled to do my wedding bailed on me 20 days before the big day. She moved things around in her schedule to accommodate my needs and I am super grateful to her! It was only me that needed services and I was lucky to find someone who could do both hair and makeup. I didn’t get the chance to do a trial with her (due to my schedule, not hers) but she came through on the big day and was a joy to work with. Highly recommend Lori :)

Achieved my vision!

I loved working with Lori for my wedding this summer. We were working toward an old hollywood look with the makeup and a Taylor Swift hairstyle. She worked very hard to make it happen, and I was so pleased with the results. She also did a great job on my mom and my two nieces. Would recommend Lori to another bride!

So happy!!

I truly couldn't have been happier with the hair and makeup for my wedding. I knew at the trial that I had made the right choice. Lori was so receptive to what I was thinking and made fabulous recommendations and suggestions for both hair and makeup. I initially declined her suggestion of fake lashes feeling that they wouldn't be for me. On the day of the wedding I was second guessing that decision, and I went with her recommendation and am so glad that I did. They looked so good. She is truly an expert at what she does. She also did the hair for my bridesmaids, and they all looked gorgeous. Lori is so kind and easy to connect with - an added bonus! I highly recommend her!

A m a z i n g !

Lori was perfect. From trial to the final look for my wedding day, she made my hair and makeup absolutely flawless. She effortlessly followed my instructions on wanting a natural look and made me feel like myself.

My makeup & hair lasted the entire day! Not having worn eye makeup much because of my sensitive eyes, I was worried that it would smudge.. but it didn’t - not even when I teared up and had to wipe my eyes during the wedding! I have also never worn fake lashes before, but she put them on so perfectly that I didn’t even notice them the entire day! She also arrived exactly on time as requested, even if it was at 5:30am.

I highly recommend her to anyone in the Northern Virginia area looking to get their makeup or hair done for weddings, etc. I would give her a 10+ stars if I could!

Lori made me look gorgeous! (engagement photos)

I found Lori on Instagram while dealing with a very unresponsive MUA. I was searching Instagram in the hopes that I would find a local makeup artist with week day availability. The fact that Lori also did hair was a big selling point for me as it meant that I didn't have to make two stops that day, saving me time and money. I was looking to have hair and makeup done for an engagement photoshoot in Washington, D.C. in early June. Lori was extremely responsive from the beginning and I really appreciated it. She was also flexible when we had to push the appointment by one day due to rain on our original date. For makeup, I wanted a natural look and Lori made that happen - I was of course breaking out on my chin right before the photoshoot but she made me look flawless. For hair, I wanted beach waves and a side braid and while at the appointment, upon Lori's recommendation, we decided to do a braid on the other side as well - it turned out better than I could have hoped. I felt beautiful walking out of her home studio. Lori has a fun personality and is really easy to chat with - her home studio was cute and inviting. I would 100% recommend Lori's services for engagement photos and weddings! Thank you so much!

Hair/Makeup Guardian Angel

I'm going to make this short and sweet. Lori's work is amazing -- natural and long-lasting. My makeup was a dream for both my engagement shoot and my wedding. It even survived when my husband smashed cake on my face after I begged him not to (story of the rest of my life with this goofball). But most of all, I have to say she came to the rescue (literally) and went above and beyond what I would have expected from anyone. I had a slight falling out with my hair stylist and found myself 2 weeks out from the wedding without someone to do my hair day of. Lori happily stepped in which then led to the fact that we didn't have enough time to do the bridal party's makeup without starting at the crack of dawn. In comes Lori (my makeup/hair guardian angle). She found another makeup artist in less than 48 hours...in June...two weeks before the day. Without her help, I know someone would have been unhappy that day and that would have in turn made me so sad. Can't recommend her enough and hope I have another excuse in the future to hire her again. xx

Wedding hair and makeup

I went to Lori for my trial, and then on the day of my wedding changed my request a bit. Lori adapted without blinking an eye and I LOVED my day of look - which lasted all night! I was also worried about timing due to my huge wedding party, but Lori showed up with enough team members to handle my whole crew in our allotted time frame, with extra time to spare which put me at ease!

Lori is literally EVERYTHING.

OH EM GEE, Lori is EVERYTHING. First of all, she is just such a sweet, kind presence to have around you on your wedding day when nerves and excitement are running high, and honestly that in and of itself is enough for me to recommend her. Add to that the fact that she is so talented and made me look like ME, but like the best version of me that has ever existed, on my wedding day -- I mean, you really can't get any better. Lori and her team were SUPER flexible and helpful, especially when my floral hair piece arrived and was way bigger than we expected. They literally performed SURGERY on this thing, sawing away at floral wire and trimming rogue greenery until it looked perfect. I didn't even panic when this was all going down because I knew I was in good hands. Seriously, hire Lori. She'll make you look + feel gorgeous, romantic, flirty and natural, all while maintaining a feeling of fun and fabulousness. I love Lori!

Lori is the best!

Lori was such a pleasure to work with. She was extremely responsive and so easy to work with from the very beginning when I booked her months out from my wedding. The trial was great and she did different style's to make sure I chose the right look- she makes you feel extremely comfortable and I could've stayed at the trial for hours just chatting with her! She was very professional and since she has so much experience, she was very helpful with making decisions. My bridal party showed her pictures of what they all wanted, and she was able to do all of the styles and everyone was happy :) She has such a great personality and was so fun to have with us all morning while we were getting ready. I would HIGHLY recommend Lori to anyone- she is so talented with both hair and makeup and played a big part in making my day so amazing!

Lori was SO awesome. I loved my hair and makeup on the wedding day. Was better than I could have imagined. During my trial, I went for a slightly different look with both hair and makeup. And before the wedding, I decided to soften the makeup look. Lori was super responsive and excited to make the look whatever I wanted it to be! The day of the wedding, she had multiple people as part of her beauty team who were all professional and talented. The bridesmaids had fun getting ready and everyone looked beautiful.

Lori was perfect to work with! She did my hair for an event last Saturday, and I was so impressed by her professionalism, talent, experience, and kindness from start to finish. Lori responded to my inquiry about availability right away. I didn't schedule a trial because this was not for a typical wedding event (just a small dinner with friends to celebrate). While styling my hair, Lori tried a few different options for a high ponytail. She was so patient and careful with each option. She kept telling me that she wanted it to be "just right" -- in fact, she was way more perfectionistic about the whole thing than me :) She created a beautiful look for me in the end! And the products that she used smelled so good; I felt like I got some free aromatherapy out of the experience. I received so many compliments at my event. I strongly recommend working with Lori.

Based on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give Lori an 11 if I could! Picking a makeup artist for my wedding was a task that I did not look forward to..because I can be critical. Choosing Lori was not only one of the first decisions I made in my planning journey but she was one of the vendors I adored the most. She totally gets what you want but she also puts a little bit of her own specialness in the mix.. romantic, whimsical and of course elegance. Lori Nansi is the best & I would never hesitate to ask her help me again with my makeup.

Lori and her team are awesome. I planned my wedding from overseas and my wedding planner, Studio DBI, recommended her without hesitation. I had my trial the week of the wedding and Lori nailed it. I've never felt more beautiful. The day of the wedding we have 8 people getting hair and makeup, so Lori came with a second hair and makeup artist. They were all wonderful and got the job done on time and my bridesmaids and mom looked stunning. I would use Lori again if I had another function to get my makeup done in the DC area. I think she can really cater to whatever your needs are and whatever look you're going for!

My wedding was slightly unique in that my sister was our only attendee (as our witness). I woke up the morning of- ecstatic to marry the man of my dreams- but felt guilty I had chosen such an intimate wedding that excluded my family and friends.

Ill never forget when Lori arrived at the hotel room to do our makeup, she was full of amazing energy and made me feel so special! She celebrated with us, like we had known each other for years. I gave her free reign because I knew instantly I could trust her.

She did my sisters make up first, and OMG! She looked out of this world. It was natural yet feature enhancing. After finishing her makeup, she styled her hair to fit our bohemian free spirt vibe, again - perfect!

Next, the bride was up! I pretty much felt like I was floating after she finished styling me. My worries and stress were completely gone.. All I had was my killer hair and make-up [ which lasted ALL night and into the next morning ;) ]

All I can say is, Lori is perfect. I was completely freaked out just hiring off wedding wire without a consult (due to throwing my wedding together in 5 days) and it was the best choice ever. I am dying for a reason to look so fab again so I can use her!

My experience with Lori was amazing from start to finish. From the very beginning she was so quick to respond to all of my questions. She pretty much nailed the look I was going for at my trial and on the day of my wedding I was just absolutely THRILLED with my hair and makeup as well as my bridesmaids. I had 11 bridesmaids + 2 mothers getting their hair done and 5 ladies getting their makeup done- Lori and her team got everyone done in more than enough time and everyone looked gorgeous. Lori is truly amazing; she has an impeccable eye and is very gifted in hair and makeup artistry. Lori did the hair and makeup for myself and bridal party of 4 this past September and I could not be happier with the whole experience! Working with her is a very fun experience and she is extremely responsive to ideas and feedback via pinterest planning of bridal party looks! Lori traveled over 200 miles to Pittsburgh for my wedding day and having a noon wedding she was up and at my venue at 5am on a Sunday to make sure we all looked amazing!! Lori was absolutely amazing - 100% in every step of the process. She was incredibly responsive when I was booking her and asking questions, and even gave me recommendations on shoes and other things that had nothing to do with hair and makeup! She was extremely flexible and didn't require me to have a trial so that I could meet my budget. She is worth every penny. Without doing a trial, she did my makeup and hair perfectly exactly the way I had envisioned. My makeup was easy and natural as I had asked and just brought out my natural looks rather than making me look like someone else. My dad, who normally hates when I wear makeup, was very impressed, said I looked great and he was glad I still looked like "me". I didn't even know what I wanted my hair to look like but Lori read my mind and gave me the perfect style for me, my dress, and my venue. On top of all of this she came to me, was very professional and friendly, and explained what she was doing with each product the entire time. Could not more highly recommend!

Le Mariee is THE BEST. Lori is such a beautiful person, inside and out and was a pleasure to work with on my wedding day. She made me feel absolutely gorgeous - she's so talented and knows how to bring out the beauty in each person. I felt and looked like myself, but also felt like I was ready to walk the red carpet. Pictures turned out incredible. She was on time, came prepared and finished with time to spare! All of my bridesmaids who used her services (both hair and makeup) couldn't have been happier with the results. Lori was so sweet, and really made me look prettier than I thought was possible, but still so natural. And while I can't get my hair to cooperate no matter what I do, she worked some magic and pinned it into the loveliest updo. She is so talented, had great suggestions for makeup that would fit in with the vibe and setting for my wedding, and was also willing to work on just me and my mother (my bridesmaids opted out of hair and makeup). If I ever have another occasion where I need to get my hair/makeup done, I would definitely call up Lori.

I had a problem with another makeup artist who broke my contract after we already had done our trial run. It was actually the best thing that could have happened because I found Le Mariee' and Lori Nansi. This woman is amazing. She is reassuring, encouraging, sweet and TALENTED. I had my trial run with her and stopped worrying about how my hair and makeup would look at the wedding because I trust her completely. She made me look and feel beautiful. My hair was seriously incredible and it stayed perfect all night. I don't know how she did it. My makeup was flawless. She was also very accommodating with a few things which I greatly appreciated. If you want to look amazing and not have to worry ONE BIT, use Le Mariee'. You won't be sorry!

I could not be happier with the service we received from Lori with Le Mariee' and her team! When I emailed to inquire about hair and make-up for our wedding day, she responded immediately. She worked with me throughout the whole process and was very personable. I did a trial with Lori which was so much fun. We got the look I wanted down to perfection and she listened to what I envisioned and brought it to life. We had 10 people getting their hair and make up done, so the schedule was a little tight. Lori brought three people to assist to do our hair and make up at the venue and everything went very smoothly! All of the girls looked and felt beautiful. The artists made sure that each girl felt comfortable in their own skin and that they didn't have make up or hair that they didn't like.

Lori used airbrush foundation on me which was a godsend! I'm a crier, and when I cry, I turn RED and blotchy. It's not pretty. Lori used a primer that would help reduce the redness and the airbrushed foundation made me look flawless. I felt gorgeous. I did cry during the ceremony (surprise, surprise) and my make up didn't need to be fixed or touched up. Not only did she do a wonderful job, she was so much fun to work with and to me, that's the most important part! She made sure I was having fun on my wedding day and really made me feel at ease. She tells you everything she's doing while she's doing it and is just so much fun!

Lori also made sure the look I was going for was cohesive with the overall look of my wedding. We talked about the style of my wedding, she saw my dress, we talked about the flowers and all of the details so my make up and hair would fit in with my look as a whole.

The entire experience of working with Le Mariee' from that first email, to the final touches of my lip gloss, was absolutely wonderful! I will definitely be using Lori again in the future, and recommend her to anyone who is looking for hair and make up services!

Lori was an absolute gem to work with, she did my hair for my wedding day. I came to my trial with a couple of different pictures of various styles I had in mind, and she really listened to figure out what it is I liked in each style. She is an incredibly kind and personable person, and made me feel very much at ease.

The trial was perfect, because even though we created a hairstyle I liked, Lori took notes to figure out how to make it even better for the day of my wedding. I had every confidence in her, and she definitely came through. My hair was more beautiful than I had imagined and it definitely stayed in place the entire night without feeling/looking "crunchy" from the hair spray.

I would book Lori again in a hear beat, and I definitely recommend her!

Lori was fantastic. This is the first vendor review I've written for my entire wedding, because I was so eager to tell everyone how much I enjoyed working with Lori! Not only did she do a beautiful job with my hair and makeup, but she was just so fun to hang out with. My sister and I went to her home-studio for my trial a few weeks before the wedding, and we had a blast getting to know each other. I came in with a good idea of what hairstyle I wanted (a vintage 1930s style finger wave). The trial looked great, but there were some tweaks I wanted to do for the wedding. Lori understood me completely and perfected the look on the day of the wedding. Another positive thing about Lori is that she will come on-site to work with just the bride (most people will only do on-site hair/makeup if you have a large bridal party, which I did not). I really appreciated that. My mom and sister ended up booking her for makeup since they loved her so much!

I could go on and on about how amazing Lori is, but honestly, her work speaks for itself. I was pretty much decided on Lori just looking through her portfolio - I love her style and the looks she puts together. I was not disappointed.

I received so many compliments on my make up and hair both during and after the wedding. Any time I show people my wedding photos, they immediately comment on how much they love my hair and make up. She is so talented and gave me a really intricate and beautiful updo that not anyone can do. It was not a typical bun - it had twists and beautiful curls that looked ethereal and perfect. You won't get a prom do from Lori - she gives you a sophisticated, chic look that only she can do - she has a such great style and taste. My make up was flawless. She works wonders with her airbrush and I love the colors she uses - bright, yet timeless.

I first met Lori when she did my hair and make up for my engagement photos. She is so sweet and friendly and great to talk to. She gave me a crash course on make up and really understands how make up translates from in person to photographs or video. She was able to put a really beautiful look together after taking a look at my outfits to get the colors right. My make up looked great in person and in photos.

I also did a hair trial with Lori. She spent so much time really trying to give me the hair style that I was envisioning. I am asian and have very straight thick hair that isn't always cooperative. She was really able to work with my hair texture. We made many changes, but she really put in the time and energy to make my wedding look something I would love. She really cares about her brides.

Lori really is worth every penny. This is the one day that you want to look and feel beautiful and Lori will make it happen. Highly recommended!

Lori Nansi of Le Mariee' did my make-up for my wedding day and I felt absolutely beautiful! She also did make-up for the bridesmaids and moms of the bride and groom. We asked for a natural soft look and she did exactly that. I felt like myself, but more polished. :) She did just as good a job on everyone else--they looked flawless, natural and beautiful.

She was great to work with: kind, friendly and with out a doubt the MOST responsive person on our wedding team. She responded within seconds of most of my emails and was totally understanding when I made some changes at the last minute. She's exactly the type of person you'd like to have around you on your wedding day... she's patient and makes you feel at ease. It was nice to spend time with her!

One of the bridesmaids even commented that she wished Lori did her make-up on her wedding day!

I hired Le Mariee' to do both hair and make-up for my wedding. While I'd read that you usually want to find separate professionals for these two services, Lori was amazing at both and was hands down my favorite wedding vendor. Lori has a true talent and is as comfortable taking feedback from a client as she is making suggestions regarding what will look best. She made me feel beautiful on my wedding day and was easy to work with and so very nice and calm. I don't generally wear a lot of make-up and she did a great job creating a soft, natural look that went well with my personality. Working with Lori is like having a good friend do your make-up, except she's also extremely professional and it shows. What a wonderful, positive personality! She came on time (early, I think!) and was well-prepared. I loved working with Lori and highly recommend Le Mariee'!

Here's what I especially liked about Le Mariee' (Lori), having gone through the DIY wedding process:

#1 - She's EXCEPTIONALLY responsive, more than any other vendor with whom I worked. Lori replied to my initial email within minutes and then consistently provided timely responses and helpful feedback throughout the whole process, including sending good suggestions for day-of scheduling among bridesmaids. I felt like she was an event partner, not just a vendor.

#2 - Lori is willing to do hair and/or make-up for the bride ONLY. A lot of hair/make-up artists require that the bride and bridesmaids all receive services, which can be costly for the bride or the wedding party participants. So I really appreciated this and my wedding party appreciated the option of doing their own hair or having a professional available onsite if they so chose.

#3 - Lori is flexible with the hair and make-up previews. In my case, I didn't want to pay extra for a hair preview, but I did want a trial run on make-up. Lori doesn't require her clients to get previews, which is GREAT for those on a limited budget.

I felt like the most beautiful woman on my wedding day, and I owe that all to Lori. My hair and makeup came out better than I ever could have imagined. I had an idea of what I wanted and she totally got what I was going for. I had a bit of a stressful morning on my wedding day and Lori was calm and collected. She helped calm me down during all the craziness when it felt like all the attention was on everyone else and I was getting super emotional. She is a true pro and knows how to deal with large wedding parties and strong personalities.

Having my trial and wedding day hair and makeup done by her was just like having one of your best friends by your side. She is fun, entertaining, and does amazing work! I have been looking through pictures and can’t believe how great my hair and makeup looked even at the very end of the night! She is a little pricey but definitely WORTH IT. It was such a pleasure working with her!

I absolutely LOVED Lori and the girls she brought to help out!!!! Lori did my hair and makeup and it was absolutely stunning and I received so many compliments that day! I typically don't wear a huge amount of makeup so Lori went for a more natural look with me and it looked amazing!! I also had a large wedding party, with all of the girls getting their hair done. Although I had only paid for one assistant to come help out, Lori also brought a second assistant, free of charge, to help out so we could all get ready stress-free and without having to rush around. That was such a huge help and made for a fun and calming environment which I definitely needed that morning! Although Le Mariee is slightly more expensive than others I looked at, it was definitely well worth it and I would highly recommend that anyone else on the fence because of the price use Lori. We all had a great time getting ready and looked so beautiful that day- it was well worth the money!!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Lori of Le Mariee has made me feel so comfortable and fabulous from the trial preview to the day of wedding and yes even at the end of the night after many bawdy wedding games, dancing, eating and drinking!

In the beginning of wedding planning, I was specifically looking for a make up artist who had experience with airbrush makeup and tattoo cover-up. During the trial preview, Lori spent hours with me working on matching colors and textures to cover my large back tattoo, give me the cheekbones and beautiful eyes I wanted, and the princess half up do I wanted.

Oh boy did Lori deliver and not just for me, but also my bridesladies, mother in law, and mother! Can I tell you that my usually oily sensitive skin still looked flawless at the end of the night and I did not so much as retouch? And when I told her that I was going to be wearing 4 dresses and I wanted a slightly different hairstyle for each of them, she showed me how my ladies and I could make it happen. We started with an over the top bouffant with a hidden hair donut and pretty barrel curls half up do for my white ballgown dress, then for the second dress change we pinned the curls criss cross for my Chinese silk dress, and we took the pins out for my third dress a white mermaid laceup back with handmade dragon phoenix sash, and for my last transformation I took the donut out and just pulled it all up into a high pony. And oh not a single smear from the back tattoo cover up on any of the dresses -- high quality make up stays put! Can I say that my make up and hair looked AMAZING each and every time -- the colors and emphasis were just right for each of the different looks! And of course, my ladies who are naturally beautiful looked magazine ready and the mothers who don't usually wear makeup loved loved loved being beautified by Lori. So thank you very much Lori of Le Mariee! I know who to recommend or call if a lady ever needs to look her very best!

Words and stars aren't enough to convey how absolutely wonderful Lori was on my wedding day. She kicked off the day perfectly and I owe my great sense of calm and assurance to a great beginning to wedding day preparations. Lori was on the ball and somehow knew exactly what I wanted from our initial interactions. She arrived prepared, flexible and personable. She loved my bridal party and they loved her back. Have I mentioned her work was above and beyond what I envisioned or expected? Well it was! I had the most gorgeous hair I could have imagined and my bridesmaids looked rocking. Lori felt like a friend we had all known for years and I couldn't imagine not hiring her! She even helped us with some lashes and offered makeup tips to ladies who did their own. Lori was so wonderful to work with. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is THE nicest and coolest person. She did my wedding makeup, my bridesmaids' as well as both moms, and we just looked stunning. Loved the flawless look from the airbrushing, and our makeup seriously stayed perfect all night! Everything was great!! Lori did my mom's make up first which she loved and she normally doesn't wear any. We started my make up when the photographer came and freaked out that I was not completely ready for her. Lori kept me calm and reminded me that it was my day. Once we were done she then helped one of my bridesmaids with her fake eyelashes. It was a wonderful experience.

Lori was recommended to me through a good friend. Not only was Lori personable and fun to hang out with, but she did a great job with hair and makeup for my engagement session AND my wedding! She executed my Old Hollywood style so well. We were going to have the wedding trial and engagement hair and makeup on the same day, but when timing seemed tight she accommodated me for a second appointment with a huge discount! Lori did my hair and make up for my wedding, and she did a fabulous job! The airbrush makeup really made my skin look flawless. I had a beautiful down style that held for the entire event. At the trial, I showed her a photo to give her an idea of how I wanted to look. She worked from that to create a great look for me. During the trial she offered ideas and suggestions based on her experience, and frequently asked me if I was happy with how I looked.

Lori could not have been nicer or more flexible to work with. AND she is supremely talented at what she does. I came to her during the trial with some idea of what I wanted to look like. She did a masterful job of transforming an editorial look into something wearable for a wedding. On the day of the wedding, I decided to do something completely different and Lori totally rolled with it. I felt beautiful and comfortable in my own skin. More than that, she worked with each of my 7 bridesmaids who were very particular about how they wanted to look. She could not have been more professional and she even helped calm me down on the day of the wedding (I was super nervous!). Lori insanely talented and loves what she does, and that comes through in the end result. She approaches hair and makeup like art, and I promise you that your hair and makeup will truly be a work of art. Not only is she great at what she does, she's responsible and committed to making your day amazing, eliminating any unneeded stress for a bride-to-be. As an example, she woke up at 4:00 in the morning and traveled over 50 miles to my wedding venue, she and her team were there before we had even planned (7:30 am, ridiculous, right?)

On top of her talent, Lori is easy to talk to, fun, genuine and calming...all great traits for a vendor in a chaotic bridal suite. I had so much fun at the trial, it felt like I was seeing an old friend when she arrived for hair and makeup on my wedding day. My bridesmaids, mothers and flower girls looked beyond beautiful, and the hair and makeup lasted through a very long, hot, humid, monsoony/rainy July day.

I cannot express how great Lori is, but if you're undecided, I promise you that you would not regret hiring Lori Nansi of Le Mariee'.

I first met Lori back in September when I did my trial with her. I was actually having my engagement pictures done that day (I highly recommend having your trial on the same day as your engagement pics or at least for something special). Lori made me feel comfortable right from the start. She listened to concerns I had and was able to gauge my personal style very quickly. She does a great job of making you feel at ease, which was really important to me. My make-up turned out amazing for my engagement pics and I didn't think it could get any better than that. However, on my wedding day, somehow Lori made my make-up even more amazing than the trial and I have never felt so beautiful as I did that day. Not only was my make-up amazing, but all my girls and the moms looked and felt great too. At one point, it got a little chaotic being with all the bridesmaids in one room and Lori could sense I was starting to stress out a little. She was very good about redirecting my attention and keeping me calm during that time. That isn't her job at all, but from the second she enters she makes sure the bride is feeling good and doesn't stop until she leaves. She gave all the girls a tube of the lipstick she used on them so they could re-apply during the night and she gave me one as well. She was even able to secure and bring my favorite lip color that had been discontinued. With Lori you will not have to worry about anything. At the end of the day, as a bride, you want to look perfect and feel great about yourself; Lori made me look beautiful and feel confident. I highly recommend Lori with Le Mariee to any bride who wants the perfect look on their special day!

Lori did my hair, and my bridesmaids' hair for my wedding. I never did a trial with Lori nor met her, until the wedding day. I sent her several photos of what I liked prior to the wedding, and she did her magic based on those ideas, and my hair looked amazing for the wedding! Lori was very responsive when we emailed back and forth discussing what I wanted done for the wedding. She was punctual and finished all of our hair on time. I highly recommend her services.

I think most brides dream of feeling their most beautiful on their wedding day. The hair, makeup, dress, shoes, jewelry--each of us wants all of it to be just perfect. While I had all sorts of unexpected hiccups during my wedding planning process and while family stress, weather and last minute details threatened to make my wedding day less perfect than I had hoped, my hair and makeup and the way I felt about how I looked surpassed my expectations. As Lori finished putting in the last pins to hold my soft and romantic updo (an updo, mind you, that never should have worked or stayed with the amount of long, thick hair on my head...yet somehow Lori worked miracles) and gave me one last brush of blush and a swipe of lipgloss, I turned to the mirror and was surprised at how stunning I looked. Truly, I have never felt so beautiful. Lori is not only in the business of hair and makeup--though she is extraordinary at both--she is in the business of making women look and feel their best. She supported and encouraged me from the first moment we connected over email to my hair and makeup trial (during which she worked tirelessly to get my hair to do what I had dreamt it might!) to my wedding day, where she worked to make sure each bridesmaid and me, the bride, felt gorgeous and pampered and happy. During the months leading up to my wedding, Lori gave me sage advice, made me laugh, recommended an amazing wedding coordinator and other local vendors and shared in my excitement over this wedding detail or that. Lori is not just an incredible artist, she is a kind, loving, sweet friend. I will return to Lori for any and all makeup and hair needs in the future. I'm not the best writing these things, but I spent a couple of hours writing a huge review for Le Mariee' and then found out it was too long. :( I don't know how to shorten everything I wanted to say, but I will try.
Lori did my hair and make up for a trial, which I ended up doing my engagement photos after and then she did my wedding hair and make up. Lori is absolutely the best! She made me feel comfortable, was so helpful and quick with answering questions and responding to emails, was super nice and she made me feel more beautiful than I ever thought I could!
Choosing Lori was the best decision and I can't thank her enough for everything she did for me!
You will not regret picking Le Mariee'!!!!! I plan on having Lori do my hair and make up for other events too and hope you do also!

Lori was so responsive to my emails from the beginning, she would be back to me within a couple minutes a lot of times. She does a beautiful job, she did the makeup for myself, my bridesmaids and family members and I could not be more happy. I want to pinterest pictures of myself and a lot of it is due to how pretty she did my makeup. She is so warm and makes you so comfortable and beautiful. She is prompt and professional, she has so much experience. I would recommend her to everyone I know and if I have any events I will go back to her in a second. She was flexible and when my hair vendor made me feel a little stressed for time she calmed me down, made me enjoy my day. I have no higher recommendation than for Lori, she is wonderful and an expert.

Lori is quite possibly the sweetest, most accommodating woman I've ever met! Not only did she do a wonderful job with my make up for my wedding day, but she was incredibly responsive (I'm talking like minutes after each email I sent, she responded!) and SO great to work with. I asked for a very natural look, as I don't typically wear a lot of make up and she really listened to me- I felt very beautiful on my wedding day. I think she was the nicest wedding vendor I came across during the process of planning my wedding. I would definitely recommend her to other brides!

Lori Nansi of Le Mariee is a magician! She managed to make my daughter, who was my maid of honor, even more beautiful than she already is. My sister's up do was fabulous. The romantic hairstyle she created for me was extremely flattering and totally suited my personality and my gown. The curls held up through two hours of energetic dancing and a convertible ride home on the highway, and yet it felt so soft, I couldn't even tell that she used hairspray! I'd also like to know how she managed to effectively conceal a night of no sleep (wedding night jitters) under my eyes! My hair and make-up were perfect, and I was floating on a cloud! It looks fabulous in the photos, too! (Go for the extra lashes!) In addition to her stellar talent, she is such a lovely person that it was a treat to meet and talk with her. She and I were the first people at the venue, as I had to arrive early for hair and make-up, and our session relaxed me and got me ready to totally enjoy the rest of my wedding day! Five stars are not enough to express how beautiful she makes you look and feel.

I would recommend Lori to any woman who needs her hair to look beautiful and to hold up through a long day. Lori put my hair in a gorgeous curly updo for my wedding. Not only did it look great, but it stayed put through wind, a crown, a veil, a hair ornament and a dress change. She was intent to get me the look I wanted, and very persistent (yet gentle) when my hair would not cooperate at the trial.

Again, I would recommend Lori to anyone. (Note: I am Indian-American, and my hair is long and fine and has a mind of its own.)

Lori was fantastic to work with. She helped to make my wedding day stress free as my makeup turned out perfectly and just the way I envisioned. She used airbrush foundation on me which I feel looks so much more natural, less caked on than standard foundation. It lasted all day and still looked great at the end of my reception as I had my makeup done at 11 am and the reception was over at 11 pm. She works with you so that you have a say in what your makeup will look like (eye color, lips, and blush) and puts it all together perfectly. I looked and felt so beautiful while still looking like me. Not only was I beyond pleased with my makeup; she also did my mom, the groom’s mom, as well as two bridesmaids makeup that day. They were all as pleased as I was and were so thankful that they decided to have Lori do their makeup as well. She is very professional, arrived a few minutes early, was ready to start prior to the first persons makeup time, and even patiently waited as there was a small lapse in time between when the hair stylist was suppose to finish my hair and when Lori was suppose to start my makeup. I would highly recommend Lori, she does a wonderful job, not only did I look great on my wedding day but the makeup also photographs wonderfully. I am so thankful to one of my friends for recommending Lori to me, she was a joy to work with and is very talented. I was beyond happy and am so glad I had Lori do my makeup. She really is great and does an incredible job!!!

Lori was an incredible pleasure to work with. She was professional and flexible. (I did my trial on the day of my wedding shower and even though Lori was booked that morning for another wedding, she found time to still meet with me and did an incredible job on my make up for that day!) On the day of the wedding, she was prompt, fit in very well with my family and friends and my make up looked PHENOMENAL. All I did was show her a few inspiration photos and I was blown away by the results. I was a little uncertain of what I wanted to look like because wearing a ton of makeup just doesn't come naturally to me but Lori reassured me that she had the right colors and I was going to look beautiful. She even went as far as finding a lipstick color called "well-loved" (by Mac) and now every time I use it I think of our wedding day! She's overall very thoughtful, very detail oriented and of course, VERY talented. I'd recommend her services to anyone who wants to look absolutely drop dead gorgeous on their special day.

Lori was simply AMAZING!! We actually had fun during the trial too! Lori was wonderful! I decided to do a trial before my big day and she made me feel so comfortable. She explained everything she was doing and why, and always asking my opinion and what I thought. Lori didn't pressure me into one look or another; something I was very worried about (I was getting both hair and make up). The day of my wedding, the number of girls who were getting some kind of service had ballooned to 6 ppl. I told Lori this change days before the wedding and she didn't show a hint of frustration or worry! I didn't have to deny anyone services and we were done well before we had to leave for the venue. Le Mariee´s prices were the best from a number of area make up + hair people when considering day of and trial services. However, I did get married during the off season.

Lori did my make-up for my engagement photos and for my wedding. She was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad she was! Lori was amazing she surpassed my expectations. Not only was she incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable right away she has an ability to use make-up to bring out both the inward and outward beauty! On my wedding day she made me radiate. Lori was one of the best makeup artists I have ever encountered. She made me look like me, just better. Some of my girls were a bit nervous about getting their makeup done (as they have had bad experiences in the past), but she put them right at ease. She allowed them to experiment and if they didn't like what she was doing she would immediately stop and fix it. Of course, none of them hated it, in fact they all loved it and couldn't stop talking about how wonderful they felt with the makeup!

Lori is AMAZING! She really knows how to make you look and feel beautiful! I first met Lori last October, as she was hired to do bridal makeup for my good friend. I was a bridesmaid, so I was lucky enough for Lori to do my makeup too. I immediately fell in love with her work & her great personality! Since then, I have passed her name along to every bride I know, and as a result, she has been able to do my makeup 4 times as a bridesmaid. I have loved it every time! A few weeks ago when I got married she did my bridal makeup and it was better than I could have ever imagined. Lori had her hands full on my wedding day; not only did she do my makeup, but she did my 11 bridesmaids, my mom, my aunt, and family friend! We certainly kept her busy and every single one of the ladies looked absolutely stunning. Lori is organized, SO quick at responding, and SO very talented. She is very thoughtful and detailed in determining your wedding look. The makeup she uses is great quality and lasts all day and night! I would absolutely recommend her for future brides. I am already brainstorming special occasions that I can use her for in the future!

Lori was amazing!! She is the sweetest person and was so wonderful to work with! I first met her at my makeup trial, and from the beginning she made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. My mom and sister came along to the trial and they loved her as well, and my makeup, so I knew I had to book her. I briefly explained what I was looking for and she just got it! I had a trial with someone else prior to her, and I hated it! I just felt like my face looked so made up. But with her, I felt amazing, but still felt I looked like myself! On the wedding day, she even remembered my mom and sister and all the little things we talked about from the trial. That is rare for someone who does as many events as her. I spent a lot of time researching and contacting numerous other makeup artists in the DC/VA/MD area before I found Lori with Le Mariee Makeup, I truly believe that I have found the best one. I really doubt that there are many other makeup artists that have as many great reviews just on Wedding Wire as Lori has. That definitely says something in itself. Overall, Lori is very professional, punctual, creative, fun and takes pride in her work. She wants you to look and feel your best on your wedding day. You will have no regrets about the way that you look if you hire her.

I had an outdoor wedding at a historic mansion on a hot summer evening and had seven people in my wedding party who needed makeup done. Lori applied airbrush makeup and lashes to each of us in our standard hotel room, taking care to pay attention to every detail. Even though Lori had never met any of my bridesmaids before the day of the wedding, she was able to create an individual and beautiful look for each person. Everyone loved their makeup. In addition, everyone’s makeup stayed in place ALL day and night long despite the insane humidity, heat and crazy dancing. I swear our wedding was one of the hottest days of the summer. If you’re unsure of the lashes – go for it. Honestly, this is what really makes your eyes pop in your wedding photos. Everyone in my wedding party had them applied, including my mother. She loved them and has never received more compliments in her life.

If you hire Lori with Le Mariee Makeup, you have hired one of the best makeup artists in the DC/VA/MD area, hands down. If you're debating between a couple of other makeup artists, call or email Lori and then at least give her a shot at a trial run. You won't be disappointed.”

Lori is an amazing person to work with. We did a trial when I was a BM in another wedding and everyone was commenting on how amazing my makeup was. It was a bit more dramatic but really enhanced my natural look. She then did my wedding makeup and without having to go into too much detail, she knew exactly what I wanted and transformed my look into the perfect "bride" image. I couldn't have been happier.

Lori responds extremely quickly, shows up on time (if not a little early) and shows the utmost professionalism with her talent. Her personality also enhances the experience b/c she's passionate about what she does and is friendly and warm throughout the entire process.

I plan on getting everyday makeup lessons from Lori in the future b/c I just can't let her out of my life yet! I would 100% recommend her services to anyone in need for a special makeup occasion.

I met Lori about 2 months before my big day and from the time I got to Lori's she made me feel like we had known each other for years I definitely think that everyone should get a trial makeup run done not to really practice your look but to get to know Lori!!!! Lori is amazing!! She answered all my questions within minutes of sending her an email. She is so sweet and awesome at what she does. My entire bridal party was amazed at how easy going and professional Lori was on my wedding day. She showed up early and made sure we were done in time to have our pictures done before the ceremony. It was a last minute decision to have my hair and make-up professionally done, and I am so glad we made that decision because of how great Lori (and Julie of Jewel Hair Designs - they often work together) made me look! I am not at all a make-up wearer and didn't know where to start but when I met Lori at the trial she listened to what I wanted and understood. Planning a wedding from multiple states away made certain elements of wedding preparation a bit stressful - choosing a makeup artist was not one of them! After filling out the contact form Lori got in touch with me right away. She and I had a phone call THAT DAY to not just to discuss her services but to see if we were a good match for my wedding day. Right off I was blown away by the fact that Lori was asking me questions about what I envisioned for my wedding look and not just shoving her contract down my throat (this had happened with several other potential vendors). It was clear that she took an actual interest in me and my wedding.

When I signed the contract to book her for my wedding date, to my delight I received a handwritten note thanking me for giving her the opportunity to partner with me for my big day. Whoa! Talk about making me feel special.

I had a great consultation and trial with her. She looked at the MANY pictures of makeup I brought in and helped me narrow down the look I was going for. My then fiancé saw me afterwards and couldn't stop commenting on how gorgeous I looked. Lori even dealt with my indecisiveness as a pro. A few weeks later when I decided I wanted a few things changed, she assured me that it was no big deal and she understood and liked the changes I wanted to make.

Fast forward to my wedding day - Lori provided amazing make-up services to my bridal party and mother. She even managed to convince my mom to do eyelash application, which personally I can say made her look more beautiful (and happy) than I've seen her in a long time.

I want to note that Lori wasn't just my make-up artist through this process. She supported me when the planning got a bit tough, handed out advice when I needed it, and assured me that what I was feeling leading up to the big day was indeed normal. Her personal approach and responsiveness would be an asset to any and every bride in the area!!

Wow! Lori is absolutely incredible, and I wish there were more stars to give! From the moment I met her at my makeup trial, she was so personable and professional. She took the time to get to know each of my bridesmaids' personalities and skin types to find out what would make them feel most comfortable. Lori was absolutely fabulous. She did an amazing job with makeup for me, my sister, mom and aunt. I wanted a natural look and was a bit nervous about having my makeup done (first time), but I am SO glad I did. Lori made us all look like prettier versions of ourselves, and the makeup lasted all evening, despite being nearly 100 degrees out. I got tons of complements and our pictures look great. Not only is Lori amazing at what she does, she was wonderful to work with - she went out of her way to accommodate car-less me for my trial and worked around our salon schedule the day of the wedding - not to mention being super-calm amidst the madness of my family getting ready. I highly highly recommend her!

Lori is an awesome makeup artist and her work speaks for itself. She did airbrush makeup for me, my bridesmaids and the moms! And everyone looked so fabulous. Everyone kept raving about how good everyone looked and I know it is because of Lori. She glams everyone up while still making sure you look like yourself. I kept her for touchups and I am so glad I did. We took photos before the ceremony so it was nice knowing that I was my best when I walked down the aisle. Lori is also just a sweet person and it was just nice having her around while we were getting ready. I hope I have other opportunities to work with her in the future.

Lori is the most amazing person and makeup artist. I instantly connected with her and trust me that is not hard to do. She is sooo personable. I have to say that words are not even going to express how I feel towards Lori and just how amazing she is. When you have Lori on your side, it feels like nothing can go wrong! Lori did the make up for my entire bridal party including the mother of the bride and myself. Trust me she was busy. There were a total of 9 of us. Her presence made my wedding-day simply delightful...despite the fact that I had several wedding "dramas" going on at the same time and everyone was running late for their appointment time but Lori was completely flexible and somehow made it all happen. Everybody looked wonderful! I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life. She truly brings out your beauty in such an incredible way. You NEED Lori to do your make up on your wedding day. It is the easiest decision you are going to make and one you don’t' even have to think twice about. She will work with you for whatever you need and whatever you are looking for. I had the pleasure of working with her for 2 wedding festivities I had prior to the wedding. She was soo sweet to fit me into her schedule and of course make me feel incredible on those days. I LOVE you Lori! Thank you for everything!!

Lori is fantastic and I highly recommend her for your wedding day make-up! I tend to be a critical person and I was extremely happy with my make-up; it stayed all day in hot, humid weather and looked great in pictures. Not only is Lori an excellent, professional make-up artist, she is also very down to earth and friendly. She was very responsive to emails, calls, and my preferences for the big day. I recommend Lori without hesitation.

When the Love of your Life looks you in the eye at the alter with a tear in their eye and says "You have taken [my] breath away," you then realize all your hard work, stress, appointments, trials, pennies (etc.) have been worth every second or expense. Lori with Le Mariee' Makeup makes EVERYTHING in your wedding planning life better. If you need her for suggestions of other vendors, or updating a simple makeup style, skin care suggestions, or just a simple friendly chat - she is there, always there for you! You do not just gain a beautiful look when you sign a contract with Lori, you gain a friend. Lori made everything about my wedding day perfect. Her spirit of life, passion for her work, and love in her heart made getting ready for the BIG moment so amazing and unforgettable. Lori was such a pleasure to work with for my daughter's wedding! She was very prompt, professional and did a beautiful job making 6 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and of course the bride look very natural and amazing looking!! The lady who did my daughter's hair took more than 2 hours and did an awful job, but Lori was very patient and came up with the idea of having a friend of my daughter's who was doing the bridesmaid 's hair to fix my daughter's hair. She saved the day and my daughter looked gorgeous!! Thank you so much for making all of us look beautiful!

Lori was amazing and I knew she would be so easy to work with. She came recommended from a good friend of mine, and I am so glad we used her! She listened to what I was looking for and made some recommendations based on the "look". She is super nice, and I can't wait to use her again but as a bridesmaid - not a bride : )

I cannot say enough about the positive experience I had working with Lori. She was exceptionally responsive from the very beginning (email responses within minutes sometimes!), and I booked her on a high recommendation from a friend. I did my trial after signing the contract and was even more sure that it was the right choice when it was a positive experience -- she listened to my preferences and was willing to change anything I didn't like. On the wedding day, she was early, and SO wonderful to work with -- she is so pleasant and really adds a positive, happy vibe to the room. I got so many compliments on my makeup. In addition to my makeup and my bridesmaids, she also did my mom's -- my mom doesn't wear a lot of makeup and was nervous (especially when she saw that my bridesmaids and I were fairly made up) -- Lori took the time to listen to my mom and created a gorgeous, natural look for her. If Lori is available for your wedding date, book her immediately! She won't be available for long and you won't regret it. :)

Lori was so wonderful! She was so sweet and open to any idea we had. I sent her some pictures of inspiration and the day of she gave me exactly what I wanted (even better !!) My bridesmaids,mom, and mother-in law got their makeup done as well and looked amazing!! Lori was patient and took her time but still ahead of schedule. I couldn't of found a better makeup artist. You will not go wrong booking Lori she was the best!!!!

Lori was absolutely amazing to work with! She is 100% reliable which was very important to me me and took away some stress of the wedding day. I have never looked that beautiful in my life. I would love to have her beautify me every day. She was by far my best vendor and replied to every single one of my e-mail within only a few minutes. She is truly the best and I am so glad that I found and booked her. Thank you for making me look like a princess!!!
