  Leah McKay did a fabulous job with the make-up for my wedding!! One of my (now) husband’s biggest concerns about me having my make-up done was that I look like myself on our wedding day, especially since I often wear little or no make-up. I expressed his concern to Leah at the trial and she made sure that I was very comfortable with the make-up, which I was. After our trial, she even went out and bought a lip gloss for me in the perfect shade. On the wedding day, I received so many compliments, including several from my husband, and I truly thank Leah for helping me to not only look but really feel my most beautiful.
  
  Leah also did the wedding day make-up for my three bridesmaids and my mother, all of whom looked fabulous. When my flower girl saw that we were all getting our make-up done, she wanted to have hers done too, which I had not planned on. Leah was kind enough to put a little eye shadow and lip gloss on her, which really made her light up and feel like one of the girls!
  
  Leah was a joy to work with. She was prompt, very communicative, super sweet, and made sure that each person was comfortable with the end result. She even sent a hand-written thank you note following the wedding, which I thought was a special touch. I’d highly recommend her to any bride who wants to look beautiful on her wedding day. Thanks for everything Leah!

  The Absolute Best

  I can't recommend Leah highly enough. Not only is she an exceptional makeup artist, she's the loveliest, warmest, calmest person and exactly the energy I needed the morning of my wedding. She knew exactly what we needed - music, a helping hand putting on my veil, whatever it was she was there to help. My mother and my makeup was breathtaking, she's a master at making you look like the most beautiful version of "you."

  Beautiful work and a wonderful person!

  Leah did our makeup for my sister's wedding 8 years ago and I knew I wanted to work with her again as soon as we got engaged! She does amazing, personalized work, and my mom, sister and I all looked glamorous yet natural (the best versions of ourselves!) on the wedding day. Not only does she do great work, Leah is also extraordinarily kind, calm, and truly a joy to spend time with which made the wedding day all the more enjoyable!

  Leah did our makeup for my sister's wedding 8 years ago and I knew I wanted to work with her again as soon as we got engaged!   Stunning wedding make-up

  Leah was amazing to work with and I felt STUNNING on my wedding day. She did my make-up, as well as my mom's and sister's. She is such a calming presence, and so affirming. When I met with her for a trial before the wedding she also gave me excellent guidance on adjusting my skin-care routine leading up to the wedding. When I broke out in hives 2 days before the wedding (pro tip: 3 days before your wedding is NOT the time to try a new zit cream), she responded to my frantic email with suggestions on calming the hives down, and she was able to cover the remaining redness perfectly on the wedding day so nobody could tell! I'm so glad I chose to book her services.

  I have never looked as beautiful as when Leah did my makeup. She was so much fun to work with. She made the day easier by having such a light personality that helped us not be so serious. Everyone looked amazing.

  Leah is the best. First, she was able to get details out of me about how I wanted to look when I only had "I don't know- make me look pretty?" in my head. She was fun, calm, professional, flexible, and kind the day of my wedding. Also, I looked and felt gorgeous!

  Choosing Leah to do my makeup was one of the best choices I made for my wedding. I am very particular and picky with my makeup, and Leah spent a ton of time beforehand with me to make sure that the makeup on the day of my wedding would be exactly the way I wanted it. It looked great and lasted well all through the night. Leah was super responsive and she also had a wonderful calming presence on my wedding day. I had a rather unruly bridal party, showing up late, trying to switch around appointments last minute etc., and Leah dealt with them in a way that was professional but also did not jeopardize the schedule I had put together, and kept me calm in the process. I received a handwritten thank you note after, which was such a special touch, but she is the one who deserves a huge thank you. I highly recommend booking her!!

  Leah was fantastic! One of my friends who used Leah for her wedding told me that the first wedding vendor I should book is Leah, and I'm so happy that I did! Leah did my makeup for my engagement photos and my wedding, and both times my makeup looked AMAZING. Leah is extremely professional, and the makeup looked flawless in photos without looking cakey or heavy in person. It also lasted the whole evening despite the heat and humidity during my August wedding.

  Leah is absolutely wonderful and I was so lucky to have her do my makeup for my recent wedding. She is very good at what she does, and definitely makes you feel comfortable from the very beginning. She was also trained as an aesthetician, so she's perfect to work with if you have any concerns about your skin, too! As a bonus, the application lasted over 12 hours with minimal touchups! I felt lucky to have found someone as talented as Leah and would recommend her to anyone!

Leah, however, is the only one I walk away from wedding planning thinking I would want as a friend in ‘real life.’ Leah is so friendly, such a calm voice on wedding day and put everyone at ease. Leah had great recommendations during our trial for my look and for overall skincare habits and products (most of which I’ve taken and am super happy with). And on wedding day everyone’s makeup was absolutely perfect. I don’t wear makeup regularly and on wedding day felt like me…just a bridal version of me. I could not have been happier.

  WOW! That is all I can say when it comes to Leah McKay - not only is she talented with makeup but she was like having a longtime friend at my wedding because she is so calming and sweet. Everyone raved about my makeup...I looked like myself but with a little glamour. Everything she did was perfect and the airbrush makeup left my skin just glowing and it last ALL day and night long! It was such an incredible day and I thank Leah because I have never felt more beautiful. Thank you Leah and I will share photos with you and soon as I get them back from my photographer.   Leah first did my make-up several years ago for a friend's wedding, and I have a distinct memory of looking at myself in the mirror as soon as she finished: I had no idea that I could look so good! It was a foregone conclusion, therefore, that as soon as the date for my wedding was set, Leah was the first person that I booked. Leah was incredibly flexible about scheduling our initial consultation and really listened to what I was hoping my make-up would be; the result on the day of my wedding was even better than I could have dreamed. If only I could have her do my make-up every day!

  I can't say enough nice things about Leah! She did an absolutely beautiful job on my makeup as well as my MOH's makeup. I have never felt more beautiful (but still like myself) and received so many compliments! Leah really listened to what I wanted and I felt completely comfortable with her. She also paused throughout the process to show me what she had done and make sure I was comfortable with it. The makeup also held up incredibly well. My husband and I had our portraits taken after our reception (about 7 hours after the the makeup was applied) and it still looked great! I would absolutely recommend Leah -- she's wonderful!!

  Leah McKay was the best! She was so nice, calm, and professional on the day of the wedding, and I can't say enough about the quality of her work.
  
  My now-husband's only request was that I look like myself on my wedding day, and Leah did an amazing job of working with me to achieve a natural look that was "me only better." I have never felt prettier! Just as importantly, my makeup also lasted all day and late into the night even after hours of dancing. A friend commented that she had never seen a bride's makeup that looked so good at the end of the night!
  
  Leah also did an amazing job with my mom and sister. She worked quickly and efficiently on the day of the wedding, and she was also a lot of fun to chat with as we were getting ready.
  
  Just to show her level of class and professionalism, Leah also sent a hand-written thank you note that I received after arriving home from our honeymoon. I recommend Leah to all brides without hesitation!

  Leah is amazing!!!! She did my wedding for the rehearsal dinner and wedding. She is so much fun and keeps things very low key and relaxed. And, of course, she does a great job with make-up! I had two different looks - one for the rehearsal dinner and one for the wedding. I got a ton of compliments and my family and friends who hung out with her the day of the wedding really enjoyed her! I will definitely have her do my make-up for other occasions. Plus, she is flexible and goes to your house or hotel where you are staying so you don't have to go anywhere.   Leah was wonderful! She made me feel completely at ease and truly listened to me. At the make-up trial, she was so helpful and knowledgeable and gave me great advice. She isn't just a master at make-up, she is an expert on how to take care of yourself and your skin. On the wedding day, everyone loved having their make-up done by her. She single-handedly applied make-up for 5 bridesmaids, my mother, my mother-in-law, and me! She never wavered in her professionalism, cheerfulness, or energy. The make-up lasted all day and late into the night. Leah is fantastic at making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed and she makes sure the bride is taken care of. She made sure I had water and she made sure I had something to eat. She gave me lip gloss to keep and asked my matron of honor to hold onto it so that she could be on lip gloss patrol if I needed a touch-up. Our make-up was gorgeous, but she played up our natural features so that we still looked like ourselves instead of strangers, which I really appreciated (as did my new husband!). She was genuinely interested in making sure that we were happy and ready to celebrate! Everyone looked beautiful and most important, everyone felt beautiful.

We had a great hour-long discussion about what kind of make-up I normally wear, my skin care routine, and we addressed any skin concerns I had before we began. Leah even suggested some products that I try out prior to the wedding to get my skin looking picture perfect. I have extremely sensitive skin, and Leah's product suggestions were perfect for me, and I have kept using them since the wedding.
  
  While I didn't want to look overdone in the least, I also didn't want to look too "princess-like" or "etherial." I wanted a "wedding appropriate smokey eye" with a little bit of drama. Leah did exactly that at the trial, as well as the day-of the wedding, and I felt absolutely amazing. Leah did my mother mother-in-law, myself, and all seven bridesmaids' make-up on the wedding day--and she did it all on schedule, with time for touch-ups.
  
  Leah is such a talent. I honestly have never felt more beautiful. Leah does a great job of playing up your natural features and letting your natural beauty shine through, without feeling overly made-up. All of my bridesmaids LOVED their make-up as well and commented on how well their make-up stayed on--even those who were kind enough to get their make-up done at 9:00 AM indicated they still looked "picture perfect" on the dance floor at 11:00 PM. And we are girls who love make-up---no shrinking violets here.
  
  I cannot say enough good things about Leah. She was extremely prompt (and early the day of the wedding), very kind, and just a pleasure to be around. Everyone in my wedding party wished they could have Leah do their make-up everyday. She simply does a PHENOMENAL job.

  Leah was amazing! She did makeup for my mom, my sister and me for my wedding, and we all loved what she did. The makeup was flawless and lasted throughout the evening...which is amazing for DC in July. She has a way of playing up your features in a way that enhances your look and does not look overdone. She was on time and very responsive throughout the planning process. And she is incredibly sweet and has a very calming way about her which was much appreciated as I was a little nervous that morning. I would highly recommend her!

  Leah did such an amazing job! I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and she totally respected my wishes. She made me look beautiful but I still looked like myself. The makeup lasted all night and it looked great! She also did most of my bridesmaids and family members and everyone looked great!
