We hired Elise for her full wedding planning package and it was the best decision! We could not have planned our wedding without her!! From our very first introductory call with her, we knew she was the perfect planner for us- from her knowledge of the industry, to her organizational skills, and basically her whole personality made the whole process easy and also fun. Elise was always responsive and accommodating whenever we had questions or had to reschedule meetings. She helped us connect to the best vendor team which we never would have found otherwise and helped negotiate contracts and communicate with the vendors on our behalf. On top of all of that her design skills are amazing and she had a lot of creative ideas to make our wedding more unique and personal. We also had a special request for the day of the wedding which was to have a Chinese tea ceremony in the morning before the Western ceremony- Elise helped us create a schedule for the day so that we could accommodate everything we wanted and helped coordinate with all of our family, wedding party, and the venue to make it happen. While we were planning the wedding, people kept asking us if we were stressed at all and our answer each time was "nope our wedding planner takes care of everything!" Throughout the actual wedding weekend, we knew we could trust Elise 100% to keep things on track and orchestrate the perfect day for us. Having her calming and kind presence there behind the scenes allowed us (and everyone else at the wedding) to focus on fully cherishing and enjoying every moment of our wedding. She truly helped us create the wedding of our dreams and memories of a lifetime and we will be forever thankful to her for that. -

Elise's planning was out of this world. From the get go she seamlessly made me feel like she understood design goals. She is organized, timely but most importantly NICE. I never felt like she was prioritizing her wants over mine, and always gave me more options if I asked. On the days leading up to the wedding including the wedding day, almost every vendor spoke on how much they enjoy working with Elise. Numerous people said how much more on the ball she is than others, and shared in my opinions oh her kindness.
My wedding day I was able to enjoy and be present for because I was confident that Elise knew what I would want if anything bad came up! Elise really brought my dreams and made it better than I could have ever imagined. I cannot recommend choosing Elise if you want to be floating throughout your planning process, but most importantly on your day! -

For me most importantly, day of she absolutely crushed it - she is so organized, efficient, handles any drama or errors swiftly and does so with a smile and kindness the entire time. Elise is a literal angel! I contacted her with a very unclear vision of my wedding…I was never a Pinterest girl and had no clear where to start, especially since I lived over a thousand miles away from where I wanted to get married (NC, VA, MD, or DC). She guided me through every step of the process, refined her understanding of my tastes, and fleshed out an entire vision down to the smallest of details. She helped us sign on our venue sight-unseen due to COVID, and managed ALL vendor communications. At every decision, be it tablecloths or makeup artists, Elise presented around 3 options…already tailored to my preferences so I wasn’t overwhelmed, but still allowing me to make the final call. Her keen eye for design definitely paid off, with everyone complimenting us on our "dreamy" setup that ended up going viral on TikTok!
On the weekend-of, Elise demonstrated her amazing juggling capabilities by managing FIVE events: the rehearsal + rehearsal dinner, a private dinner for the bride’s extended family, the welcome party/cocktail hour, the wedding & reception, and a farewell brunch. Talk about the full package!! Elise also showed an incredible ability to keep cool and deal with emergencies on-the-fly when more than a few things (beyond her control!) went wrong on my wedding day. She was a real trooper and made sure her team handled everything quietly on our behalf, rather than exacerbating our wedding day stress.
Overall, hiring Elise was the best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process! I would definitely recommend her services! -

Where to begin with Elise... from the moment we first connected, I felt like she was a life long friend. We had to find another coordinator half way through our planning, and Elise came highly recommended.. I totally understand why! She picked up all the pieces without missing a beat!!
As our day-of coordinator, Elise went above and beyond beyond; she was more than just a “day-of” coordinator. She there every step of the way to help answer any questions, give guidance on decor, and help navigate the messy waters of having a wedding in the middle of a pandemic. As a nervous (type-A) bride, Elise calmed my nerves and helped me actually get excited about our wedding whether it was 120 people or 20 people.
Day of the wedding, Elise truly made all my visions come to life. I remember being so relaxed as I knew she had everything under control - something I’d never thought I would feel in my wedding day, relaxed?!. We decided to change our ceremony site morning of our wedding, and again, Elise took the change with excitement and a smile! I looked out the window and was speechless as I saw the magic she created - she brought every vision I had to life, and more. She was well connected with all our vendors; having everyone work so well together made the day so fun, and was icing on the cake.
As a bride who had to give up having a bridal party, Elise was there to make the day extra special. She cheered me on, made me laugh, and did everything the bride squad would have done (and more). I truly could not imagine our wedding without the excellent work and support from Elise! Future brides considering Elise - don’t walk, RUN to her to make all your wedding dreams come true. -

Newport Nuptials
Where do we even begin! We hired Elise nearly on the spot 2/2019 after the most lovely latte meeting. We hired her for our Early Mountain June 2020 wedding weekend, but got lucky enough to plan TWO wedding weekends with her (thank you COVID!). As I reflect on the first one, we are so blessed to have Elise to have helped us navigate this crazy time.
From that initial meeting, I knew Elise's calm and bubbly personality was everything we needed for our wedding. Being from NYC and getting married in CVILLE we needed someone who was knowledgeable of the industry and organized, but would plan at our pace. Over the next year Elise was absolutely amazing providing us the best vendors and advice/tips. She was also responsive when I went on a planning or dress buying binges (3 dresses and counting lol). In January 2020, Elise helped us plan a wonderful tasting weekend with our parents. She even balanced our mom's elegant preferences with our desire to incorporate some of our favorite things (luckily there were lots of overlaps!).
By March 2020, the reality of our dream wedding became more uncertain with each day. Over the next month as we debated the best way to proceed, Elise calmly worked through all our options. When the inevitable came to postpone, within hours she had alternate dates with vendor availability and within a few more hours we had a new date secured.
Because Elise had been so wonderful and I couldn't imagine another year without marrying my now husband, we hired Elise to help us with our elopement in my hometown and celebration in Newport for our parents and closest relatives. Navigating quarantines, travel restrictions and covid precautions, Elise helped us plan and execute a mini-matrimony in 6 weeks!!!! I'll let the pictures do the talking, but it was the most incredible day. From all the details and finishing touches to creativity when dealing with unexpected COVID restrictions (day of wedding the gov restricted cakes being served) or difficult bustles, Elise was integral in the day's seamless execution!
It has and continues to be an absolute delight to work with Elise. Her expertise and assistance with vendor selection creates a comfort and trust that our special days we will ones we cherish for a lifetime. She is a diamond within the industry. We cannot wait for our our Vineyard Vow Renewal 6/2021!! -

Elise was a delight to work with from the beginning!
I hired her as a day-of-coordinator, and could not have been happier to have her on our team on our wedding day!
I am in the wedding/hospitality industry and actually got married in the venue that I manage. This came with it's own set of challenges! I was worried I would have a difficult time letting go when the big day came, and try to take care of everything myself. Hiring Elise allowed me the freedom to let go, and really enjoy the day. On a few occasions when I started to "manage" the day, she gently took back over and I went back to my Champagne. :D
Every couple owes it to themselves to invest in a planner, and I'd recommend Elise again and again! -

Hiring Laurel Elise events was one of the better decisions I made with our wedding! I did the "month of" package , and it so amazing to feel like I was in good hands. Elise was so easy to talk to -- part therapist/part logistician, and she thought of everything. She had great advice on decor and timeline. Day of and for the rehearsal - Grace was excellent; and could handle our energetic/raucous friends and family with ease. Thanks ladies! :) -

My husband and I got married in October 2019 and we happened to hear of Elise through mutual friends. Elise was a wonderful choice for our special day. You can tell she really loves this job and she absolutely knows what she's doing. She put the two of us at ease throughout the entire process and especially (and most importantly) on the day of. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing, Elise was on top of everything that day! She has a wonderful calming energy and I knew I could rely on her whenever I had a question or concern. She also maintains her professionalism, even down to her amazing style :) I am so grateful that we had her, it's evident that she truly loves and understands weddings. -

If you're looking for the best wedding planner, who is super detail-oriented, incredibly thoughtful, hardworking, and just a joy to be around - hire Elise! I honestly don't know what we would have done without her, and she was absolutely worth every penny. She made all of our wedding dreams come true, and she was incredibly resourceful with local vendors, knowledge about weddings and resources, etc. Not only were her relationships invaluable, but she truly went above and beyond in every way and took initiative when we needed it the most . We would recommend Elise 10 out of 10 times! We cannot say enough good things about her - HIRE HER! -

Looking back, I could not imagine my wedding going off better without Elise. I was initially against having a planner as I am very Type A and like to be in control but my (now) husband convinced me otherwise. Best. Decision. Ever. Elise is very enthusiastic and positive. She took over working with the vendors as the primary contact two months before the wedding (we initially thought it was only going to be one month out but it was a happy surprise for us!). She was great in managing us and our thousand questions, even before she took over. Compared to others we looked at, she offered more for a better price. Elise is worth every penny. -

I can not say enough good things about Elise! She was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding investment. From the second she started coordinating our wedding (about 6 weeks out), I felt like a total weight was lifted off of my shoulders. She took over everything! I felt completely confident that our day would be exactly what we dreamt of with her on our team.
We had an at home ceremony and reception so there were so many moving parts. She did not seem stressed or overwhelmed one single time (even when our reception barn was in shambles 2 days beforehand, ha!) She really had such a calming presence about her that kept us all calm even minutes leading up to the walk down the aisle.
As with any event, there were last minute hiccups. When we needed to make last minute adjustments to the schedule, she made them and made sure everyone was on the same page. Thank goodness for her because she handled every single one of them without getting me involved! This was such a relief and really let me enjoy the days leading up to our wedding.
Thank you so much for being such a big part of the biggest and best day of our lives! You are an angel!

Molly Sent on 10/11/2018Elise was hands down the best and most professional wedding hire we worked with for our massive, 2-ceremony, multi-cultural wedding in Charlottesville. Her warmth and willingness to go above and beyond the standard of duty helped alleviate so much stress and potential hiccups along the way, and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need of wedding coordination and/or wedding planning. We found out after the wedding that some of our *other* vendors had made some mistakes during the wedding that could have caused issues, but Elise identified them before they could manifest, fixed other peoples' mistakes while still maintaining her own duties and executing them to the fullest, AND she managed to keep any possible problems away from us so that we didn't stress out about them in the moment-- and everything turned out beautifully. We never even knew anything had deviated from the plan, and neither did our guests (it was mostly behind-the-scenes stuff with catering that could've gone wrong, but Elise never let it get far enough to be a problem). People keep telling us that our wedding was "the best wedding they've ever been to"-- I'm sure everyone gets told that about their own wedding, but either way, Elise deserves recognition as part of that praise. We can't gush about her enough! FWIW-- she also has an amazingly friendly, can-do attitude that makes her perfect for this role. We love that she was always available for a text or call when we had questions about something urgent in the lead-up to our wedding. She also has a way of speaking that instills confidence-- exactly what you need on your wedding day when there are a lot of moving parts. 10 out of 10 we'd work with her again! (And we're excited to stay friends with her in the future!) -
G Sent on 09/20/2018Elise planned and executed our BEAUTIFUL wedding at Montfair Resort Farm in Charlottesville. We benefited so much from her insight and experience—from recruiting amazing local vendors, to keeping everyone aware of the evolving plan for our wedding day (hurricane Florence posed a very real threat to our outdoor ceremony plans), to bustling my wedding dress like the expert bridesmaid a bride could only dream of actually having in the wedding party.
Before we were referred to Elise, we met other planners who made us feel like they were basically brokers for high-cost wedding vendors, pressuring us to commit to something more elaborate than we wanted. But Elise is NOT that kind of wedding planner. She operates as more of an advocate for the couple—negotiating contracts, finding vendors that are comfortable with your budget, and connecting you with people you would never otherwise know about (google and wedding wire can only get you so far on your own!). She's definitely someone you want in your corner to look out for your interests every step of the way.
Finally, I want to add that a lot of the responsibilities Elise took over for Day-Of Coordination were such a relief to my closest friends and family. She handled everything from the rehearsal to the reception with professionalism and grace, giving everyone involved in the wedding the chance to actually *enjoy* being there. When I talk to my mom about my wedding, I'm so happy that she can actually remember things about it—details! conversations she had with people!—and not just running around the venue, fielding questions from vendors, and frantically trying to keep things moving on the timeline. We owe that and SO MUCH MORE to Elise! We loved all our vendors, and even then both of us agree Elise was truly the crown jewel. Don't pass up the opportunity to work with her! -

My husband & I had the absolute pleasure of working with Laurel Elise Events to help make our wedding (& elopement day) a total DREAM. Like many brides in the past 2 years, we had to make a lot of tough decisions & changes regarding our event due to COVID. We came to a mutual conclusion that postponing our original plan was the best move. Given the uncertainty of the pandemic ending, my partner & I decided we still wanted to do something intimate on our original wedding date, while we awaited a better time to host our larger wedding gathering. This essentially made for two events Elise would have to help plan.
When I say that each of those days was PERFECT, I mean it. Elise & her team were incredibly helpful & patient throughout the whole process. I gave her some minimal ideas I had in mind for the day, and she went above & beyond to find the perfect vendors & help it all come together. Best of all, we ended our 2+year wedding saga feeling as if Elise was a true friend, and not just an incredible planner. I cannot recommend her enough -

Two hours before our ceremony while I was hanging out with my ladies in the bride's suite, my mother-in-law remarked that I was the most calm bride she has ever seen. This was only possible because we were lucky enough to have both Elise and Grace at our wedding, and I knew they had everything under control.
Throughout the planning process, with COVID19 throwing wrenches in our plans, Elise and Grace were there every step of the way with their recommendations and assistance. For example, when my dad decided three weeks before our wedding date that we should hire a videographer so that he can share our wedding day video to his friends, Elise and Grace were able to find a number of wonderful videographers who were available on our date, who could also help with live streaming and who were within our budget within days.
