Laura is the real deal!! She was constantly working in the background preparing and ensuring all vendor logistics and details of the day went smoothly. This was essential for us because we were planning a wedding in Sarasota from multiple states away, and only had a few visits that year to accomplish wedding things! She scheduled zoom calls with us in the interim and always made sure me, my groom, and my family were on the same page with the details of the day (not a task for the lighthearted haha!)! She balanced letting us do the parts we were excited about, like the design elements, but taking over and coordinating logistics and parts we didn’t want to do. She advocated for us to vendors if things weren’t going as we thought and figured out solutions for us all year!
The biggest thing for us was the TIMELINE (I’m sure she is chuckling at this)! If there were any problems that day I have no idea because she kept the whole night running smoothly and efficiently…which was key for keeping the energy up on a LATE evening New Years wedding! I had full faith that she could handle anything because of her years and years of experience, and that came in handy more than we would have expected!
On the actual wedding weekend, for multiple unforeseen reasons, we had to change the wedding church two days before!!! Everyone I tell that to says, “oh that must’ve have been SO stressful,” but honestly it wasn’t because we had Laura figuring everything out! I can’t even imagine how stressed we would’ve been otherwise. She truly went above and beyond for us!!

Best Decision Ever
Don’t think twice about having Laura and her team help plan your dream wedding. They worked with us for 6 months to make our quick April 2023 wedding picture perfect. Words can’t express how wonderful they are to work with, let alone how good they are at what they do! The details and work they put into a wedding are incredible. Laura, Ashley, and Katie made our wedding experience the best day our our lives. We want to do it all over again. They are with you every single step of the way and are always accessible for anything you need. We would of never done this without them and are grateful for everything they have done for us. -

Laura helped us plan our April 2023 wedding at the Sarasota Yacht Club. From beginning to end of the planning process, Laura and her team were fantastic! She helped us to stay organized and on track, which made planning so much easier.
She is very efficient and very easy to work with. Always quick to get an answer back to you or update you on something. As it got closer to the wedding, she had meetings planned perfectly to get every being addressed in a timely manner.
The weekend of the wedding was truly a breeze thanks to her and her team. She made sure vendors were coordinated and on time. Quickly addressing and resolving anything that popped up. Our wedding day was such a joy and truly made so much smoother by her attention to detail and organization. We are so thankful to have gotten to work with her for the past year and feel genuinely sad not to have something to work on with her.
Besides amazing event planner, she is an extremely kindhearted and wonderful person. Truly someone you want to work with and have alongside you during an important event. We can’t say enough good things! I would highly recommend her to anyone needing assistance or full planning or their event. Thank you Laura, we love you!! -

Grace Under Pressure!
Laura was cool, calm, and collected from day one, which was very important to my husband and I since we were planning a wedding in a relatively short amount of time. Laura and her assistant Ashley were incredibly helpful in sending us preferred vendor information so that we could start piecing together our very special day. Needless to say, we feel we ended up with a dream team! Laura and team coordinated communication with each vendor so that we didn’t have to worry, and kept us updated all along the way. Leading up to our wedding day, Laura checked in with us consistently and offered great suggestions to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted.
The LDE planning team allowed us to have a seamless wedding day where we could be present and take in so many incredible memories.
We are so grateful to Laura and her team for their phenomenal work and grace under pressure. -

Laura and her team were fantastic to work with leading up to our wedding and even more amazing on our wedding day! We were planning a destination wedding, which is always scary when you don't really "know" any of the vendors you'll be working with, Laura included! We did her "happily ever after package", she was extremely helpful and provided so much value the months leading up to our wedding. She was extremely knowledgeable in guiding us with vendors, providing suggestions and ideas based on our needs. She has an excellent network and was able to find us options in our budget, despite it being spring break and a very large wedding. I changed my mind on things, switched vendors, she was always willing to provide guidance, suggestions, send notes on our behalf, etc. She was fantastic the month of diving into every detail with us and managed to put out quite a few fires day off with ease. If you are a type A bride, and want to feel like everything is handled on your day, I would suggest using Laura, she really thinks of everything and when we had to move things around due to weather last minute, I really trusted her. What I love most is that she still checks in on us from time to time just to say hi, she really cares! -

My mom and I planned most of the wedding but we decided that we need a little help with the month of and day of planning. Laura and her team were super friendly and helped us get everything organized. She made sure I had everything i needed for my wedding day and that all the vendors were taken care of. She was very thorough and easy to talk to. When i needed something or had a questions she got back to me very quickly. The wedding day was a breeze because of her, she went above and beyond to make sure i was stress free and that everything was going according to schedule. Some obstacles happen on your wedding day and she made sure to take care of it so i was stress free. With out her my day would have been way more stressful than it was. I recommend Laura Detwiler Events because i know she will go above and beyond for everyone of her clients and will make sure your wedding day is perfect. -

This is my second daughters wedding and we knew immediately that we wanted Laura to execute her dream day as she did 2.5 years ago for her sister !!

Destination Planning
We worked with Laura on our February 2022 wedding at Marie Selby Gardens through her partial planning package, particularly focused on vendor selection and month-of service. It was so great to have a planner who is familiar with the venue and the area since we were planning a "destination" wedding from Philadelphia. We started working with her about 10 months out and she immediately helped us book all of our vendors (who were also amazing). She was incredibly responsive and her online planning tool kept everything organized throughout the process. For the rehearsal and day-of, it was also a great experience working with Katie who kept the entire bridal party on track and tended to our every needs. We would definitely recommend working with Laura and her team (especially Katie) at Laura Detwiler Events! -

Laura and her team was absolutely AMAZING! Throughout the entire planning process, Laura made sure we had everything we needed and even inspire some extra additions (hello, cold sparklers). She knew how to handle both my mother and I in times of stress which is nothing short of amazing. The day of was a dream, she made every vision we had come to life and even if something went wrong she handled it with grace! This is the Wedding Planner to have!
Laura kept me on top of deadlines and brought my vision to reality for my Daughter's wedding. She let me be just as creative and she pulled it all together. The thought I was only going to have her for the "day of" turned into "I need help" and additional services were added when needed. I was not locked into just what was agreed upon. She got to know me and my Daughter as well. Our likes and dislikes and how to intercept vendor issues before I had to worry about any changes. I'm going to miss working with her! -

Laura was amazing to work with. She understood the theme we were looking for - an elegant, intimate wedding held in a family condo in downtown Chicago. She covered every detail from decor for the ceremony held in the condo building party room, decor in the apartment, flowers, dining layout, bar and dance area, dinner, dj, and timing and schedule of the event. Our families’ and guests’ reaction was ‘Wow’! It was a beautiful wedding! -

Made Our Day Special and Stress Free!
Laura did a fantastic job hammering out all of the details leading up to our wedding. She spent many hours on the phone with my now wife making sure her special day was exactly what she wanted! She did a fantastic job organizing and communicating with all of our vendors and even helped us score a last minute venue switch just days before our wedding that really sent our wedding over the top! All of our guests told us how much they loved our wedding and my bride was completely stress-free throughout the planning process thanks to Laura! I would recommend Laura and her team to anyone looking for a smooth and stress free wedding day! -

Best Coordinator Ever !
Wow, where to even start... Laura and her team came on board 60 days prior
to my daughters 12/28/2019 wedding in St Pete at Stationhouse. On our first
meeting, I knew right away she and Sam would take care of all my remaining
worries, final confirmations and timeline. What I didn’t realize then was
how much more they actually did. Laura was there from the rehearsal, the
day before, and again, the day of the wedding, from 11am until the last
items were repacked and taken away at 11:30pm. She navigated the day calmly
and professionally with my daughter (the bride), MOH (also daughter) and
checked in with me several times throughout the day. She already contacted
and connected with all our vendors, reviewed every contract and had the
timeline organized down to the minute. When we showed up to the venue for
the first time, my daughter and I were both teary eyed in total awe of what
Laura and Sam put together. My daughter, the bride, is a DIY master. Laura
and Sam beautifully displayed her personal touches everywhere. She also
created a PDF for Laura outlining where all these special things were to be
placed. Not only was EVERY little detail perfect, it was far better then
anything we could have ever imagined after 14 months leading up to that
day. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception flowed seamlessly in Laura’s
talented hands. The day would NOT have been the same without her... no way,
no how. She executed everything flawlessly all the while maintaining the
sweetest and calmest disposition. Taylor, the bride, and I are forever
grateful and we would not have changed a thing!Thank you is hardly
enough... Our memories of THE perfect wedding will remain in our hearts
forever! -

Laura was our day of wedding coordinator for our wedding at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast on October 19, 2019. Words cannot describe how incredible Laura was pre and post wedding. I am extremely detailed oriented and I honestly thought I had the every detail of my wedding thought out and planned; Boy was I wrong! Laura brought to my attention so many important factors that I did not even think of! She had a detailed planner for our wedding and took amazing notes for each meeting we had. She honestly took SO much stress off my plate and I am so thankful for her. She contacted my vendors and helped me create a detailed wedding timeline. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side. Laura gave us may different options and scenarios to make sure our wedding day was perfect. It seemed like she didn't stop for a minute throughout our whole wedding day. She even picked up all the cupcakes the morning of the wedding so I wouldn't have to worry about it. She was so quick to respond for each and every question I had. We communicated through email, call or text.

We are so glad we went with Laura! Laura is an expert in her craft, and brought so much peace of mind on our wedding day and the months leading up to it! This was the best decision my wife and I made during our entire wedding planning process. Laura took the time to ask us questions to understand our likes/dislikes. We asked Laura if she would be able to set aside some appetizers for us, and sure enough after our first dance, there was a plate of appetizers waiting for us! Laura is just as excited about your wedding as you are! I originally got her day of package and quickly realized I needed more of her quality service and suggestions so I increased my package. Laura made my day an absolute dream. She made sure I was not distracted and spent 100% of the time with my new hubby, our family and friends. If something went wrong, I didn’t have a clue nor did I notice because she took care of everything. Whether a bouquet was missing or the guest count was off, Laura took care of it all with ease and calmness and I just soaked in the love and joy from the day! I highly recommend AT LEAST doing her day of service so you can dance and mingle and not worry about vendors arriving, delivering, picking up, timelines, and all the other details. She truly is a joy to work with and such a kind person! Plus her experience is incredible, from doing wedding of 50-700, she’s done it all! Last thing that I really appreciated, whether you’re looking to go big with all decor or keep it simple, she makes you feel like your wedding is completely beautiful and perfect regardless of how big or small in guest count or decorations.

The best decision Dan and I made with planning our wedding was hiring Laura as our wedding coordinator. The planning and event itself would not have been as amazing as it was without Laura’s knowledge, expertise, help and most importantly, friendship.
When Dan and I first spoke with Laura we were impressed by her experience and knowledge and appreciated that she asked lots of questions about us. She truly wanted to get to know who we were as individuals and as a couple. While Dan and I had a vision and some ideas, event planning is not a skill of ours, nor do we like it so we knew we needed help and we were so happy we had the opportunity to work with Laura! Laura made us feel comfortable and excited and we knew we could trust her.
Laura was always available to help, she was directive which Dan and I really needed, and she took the lead in coordinating and planning between all of our vendors. About 2-3 weeks leading up to our wedding, Laura would check-in with us throughout the week to make sure we were ok and to ask if we needed anything. On the day of the wedding Laura was always there when we needed her – AND she made sure we got to eat a little in between talking with our guests and dancing! Everything turned out to be so beautiful and perfect and absolutely exceeded our expectations. Before I walked down the aisle, Laura gave me words of encouragement as I was really really nervous, and she reminded me to smile. I’ll never forget this – she truly helped to put me at ease. Laura also stayed after the event to help clean up and gather all the items that belonged to us.
We highly recommend using Laura’s services for your wedding or any event you’re hosting! She is a true expert at her craft and loves helping people’s visions come to life and experiences memorable.

Laura handled my daughter’s wedding this past April at Selby Gardens and we couldn’t be more pleased! Laura was incredibly professional, proactive, and hands-on!
Communication with Laura was excellent. She double and triple checked everything to make the day special. She also did so much on the day! There was no task too big or too small and everything went smoothly. We did not have to worry about a thing!
Laura also gave great advice and offered solutions to potential issues we never even imagined. She basically thought of everything do we didn’t have too!
She also didn’t stop on the wedding day. She made sure that after the wedding we were satisfied and if there was anything else we needed, she was there for us.

The best decision we made for our wedding was to have Laura Detwiler Events help us plan. She was so wonderful to get to know and she felt like a perfect match from the time we first met with her. Her attention to detail, professionalism, organizational skills, and her willingness to go above and beyond certainly exceeded our expectations. We honestly couldn't have done it without her.
Laura was able to help us with checklists, met with us anytime, picked up last minute things, took over communication with our vendors, and planned everything with us in mind. She took so much off our plates and was able to create a seamless and calm wedding day not just for me and my now husband but also our families. Laura even took it upon herself to install all of our chair covers, which saved us from having to pay the venue to do it!

The attention paid to details and the never ending comfort of knowing she was there to help out in any instance was without a doubt priceless. Her smile and warmth resonates to make you feel there are no cares in the world as long as she is behind the scenes preparing for that special day. Now getting to the day itself she made it a dream come true with every detail fulfilled to everything a couple could hope forby the end. My husband and I looked at each other at the end of the evening and thought Laura was absolutely priceless. So in closing, the attention to the details and everything including having to move the event indoors for plan B was exquisite. We can’t thank her enough for all the wonderful memories with friends and family who also say that Laura was an absolute asset to our renewal wedding. Thank you again Laura
