I cannot say enough good things about working with Tammy! In addition to being so kind, professional, and easy to work with, the quality of her work speaks for itself. Tammy is truly an artist. The photos we received from our engagement shoot and wedding are more than we could have hoped for. Her work captures the beauty in the small moments throughout the day in addition to the big ones. These small moments helped to tell such an intimate story of our wedding day and are some of the photos that I treasure the most! Tammy made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She provided a perfect balance of subtle guidance while also allowing us to interact in a way that felt natural to us, resulting in photos that really captured our personalities and relationship.
When planning our wedding, we knew that the decision of booking a photographer was one of the most important that we would make, and I am so grateful that we made the decision to go with Tammy. I would 100% work with her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer in NC!
P.s. wanted to give a special shout out to her black and white photos! She is truly a magician at editing. -

Best Photos!!
I was beyond floored when I saw how gorgeous my wedding photos were. Even in the crazy times of COVID, Tammy was positive and amazing!! The photos really speak for themselves, they are beautiful! We loved Tammy’s shots especially because she caught moments of my husband and I that I didn’t even know people were witnessing. Now we can remember those sweet moments forever. -

A dream photographer and a friend
Hiring Tammy at L'amour photo was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. After months of searching and not feeling inspired by what I was seeing - my manager at work (I live in NYC) asked her cousin who was married in NC for a suggestion and I reached out. We flew to Raleigh for the weekend and met Tammy in Durham and immediately felt like old friends - I knew she would make us feel so comfortable on our wedding day and SHE DID!!! I was so nervous on my wedding day I thought I would look it in the photos. Absolutely not, the photos were way above and beyond my wildest dreams. Because I live far away, we didn't even do a test shoot before hand and she was perfect. We also hired a second shooter thru her and she was awesome as well. We couldn't be happier that we went with Tammy. She's kind, calm, and collected. Book her now. -

Talented and Personable!
From the moment we met Tammy my husband and I immediately felt at ease. She made us feel extremely comfortable even though we were both a little camera shy during our engagement photos. At our very intimate wedding (~15 people), Tammy fit right in and captured everything so beautifully. On top of all of that, we absolutely love the photos she took for us, and our family and friends have also commented on beautifully the photos turned out. We would (and do!) absolutely recommend her to anyone! -

Jennifer Sent on 02/22/2018Hands down, L'amour Foto was my favorite vendor at our wedding. Tammy took our engagement photos, and we were sold. We met a couple times before the wedding to go over details, and she made us feel so relaxed about the whole process. We trusted her the way we would have trusted a lifelong friend to capture our wedding day. On the big day itself, she was the most calming presence to us and to all our loved ones. Usually I'm nervous around photographers, but never with Tammy. I should also point out that she sent us our final photos at 10:30pm on Christmas Eve so that we could have them by Christmas. That alone speaks volumes to her character, and we were so touched by this wonderful gesture. Our first Christmas morning as a married couple was spent reliving our wedding day with our beautiful photos. Each one is like a treasure. Months later, guests from our wedding still talk about our amazing photographer. My husband and I cannot wait to work with her again in the future!

We immediately felt like she was one of our close friends and evoked genuine joy and emotion in our photos by capturing us as we are. She also got amazing photos of our two pups and they are quite the characters to work with! I can not recommend Tammy enough- she is an incredible soul and has left us with true treasures of this special time in our life! We can't wait to work with her again!

She made the whole experience so effortless, to the point that we forgot that we were even being photographed (which was good for camera shy people). Her pictures were breathtaking and truly captured our joyful event. We had an outdoor fall wedding that went well into the evening and her expertise with changing light was evident. We received a sneak peek within a week with about 20-25 photos to sate us while we waited for the full set of photos, which she delivered in just five weeks! Tammy seems to revel in the opportunity to capture life through the lens of a camera.

I was a very non traditional bride-- I had clear ideas of what I wanted and what I didn't want-- and I DID NOT want the girly, typical wedding photos that are just not me. Tammy listened-- she made suggestions of shots that I hadn't thought of-- but she never pushed me in a direction I didn't want to go. Working with her was effortless- she was there and not there-- she took great candids of me and my all my girls and wonderful shots throughout the wedding and most importantly on the dance floor. I would recommend Tammy to anyone. She is professional, thoughtful, creative and sweet; what more do you need on your wedding day??

Brad Sent on 03/02/2018We could not have been happier with choice of L’amour Photography for our wedding. Tammy was professional, artistic, and a delight to work with. She was very sweet and open to our ideas about taking pictures at different locations around Durham. She remained upbeat and calm whether we were running behind in getting ready or dealing with relatives who were hard of hearing, ha. We also barely noticed her during our ceremony and reception--in a good way. Her pictures were breathtaking and truly captured our special day. In addition to the beautiful photos, we loved the digital album, prints, and wood box that she put together for us. Thank you Tammy!
