    Wonderful Wedding Venue

    We held our wedding at Lake Raystown Resort, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Dan and Jenn were both incredibly helpful, informative, and patient both before we booked the wedding, during preparations for the event, and, of course, during the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch the day after. The food was delicious, and many of our guests commented on what a great time they had and what a great venue it was.

    The day of our wedding, Dan and Jenn were very attentive - delivering food to us from the cocktail hour while we prepared for photos, having our choice of drinks delivered to the sweetheart table before dinner, making sure we were able to choose our snacks from the dessert table before it was announced to everyone, and so much more.

    All of the staff were incredibly kind, and you could tell that they enjoy working together. Dan and Jenn were there early in the morning and late into the night helping with set up, clean up, tending bar - wherever they were needed. They were very communicative, and kept us up to date with any changes/requirements. They were also very flexible, allowing us to alter how things were commonly done so that we could make the ceremony and reception unique to us.

    We would definitely recommend this venue for anyone looking for a great place to get married.

    Awesome experience!

    We had our ceremony at wedding pointe and our reception on the Queen Mary. It was wonderful and Kristen was great to work with in the days leading up to the wedding. The food on the Queen Mary was amazing - we got so many compliments!

    Our wedding was here on 9/29 this year and it was everything and more!! I couldn’t have been happier with everything! Dan and Jenn are wonderful and super helpful! The food is absolutely amazing and I loved the option of the afterglow it was a hit. Everyone is still saying how great our wedding was

    Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process. Dan and Jenn worked hard to make sure everything was set up how we wanted, and they answered countless emails and phone calls from us. The day-of, they both made sure everything ran smoothly, and walked us through every step. The location was beautiful - we had our ceremony at the "wedding pointe" overlooking the lake and trees, and the reception was in the beautiful ballroom with glass windows overlooking the "treetops terrace." After the reception, all of our guests and family stayed in the villas by the lake, which was a fun way to have a little after-party. I highly recommend getting the villas. During the reception there was a lot going on: we had dancing in the ballroom, the bar was in the lobby, s'mores on the terrace, and the lounge upstairs, where most of the older adults went to talk away from the music. It was nice to have so many options.
    The food was also amazing. We didn't get to sample it ahead of time (they only have tastings twice a year), but we trusted them and it turned out to be delicious. Overall, we are very happy with how everything turned out.

    What a fabulous venue for our wedding! We couldn't have asked for a better space to share our special day with friends and family. Beautiful scenery and excellent food. Our guests were raving about the dinner, smores, and afterglow menu provided by the venue. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone. So much to do for guests who would like to make a long weekend out of their stay. Fantastic!!

    From pre-booking to wedding day, Dan and Jenn were so helpful and answered any questions I had. Could not have asked for better service. The room was set up perfectly on our wedding day. They went above and beyond creating a gorgeous centerpiece for our tables. Everyone raved about the food and no one went home hungry. Beautiful scenery and convenient lodging of different types. Hotel quality lodge, villas, cabins, or campgrounds. Something for everyone.

    Traveling from N.C. for our wedding on Aug. 27th of 2011 at Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge was great. Even being so far away and planning a wedding there was not hard at all. The event planners were wonderful, helped me with everything, and answered every question I have had. The ballroom was to die for, with gorgeous cathedral ceilings. We had our wedding at the wedding gazebo overlooking the marina and lake. With some help of a local event rental place we decorated it beautifully. Food at the reception was really good too, and lots to choose from. If you book there you will be able to go to a buffet type meal so that you can try different meals for your wedding day.

    The hotel rooms were just normal hotel rooms, nothing bad about them at all. They do have 2 suites which were both booked for our wedding. Suite was VERY nice, private bedroom, bathroom with jacuzzi and shower, living room, dining area and kitchenette. Every room that i had been in had amazing view of the lake as well.

    The entire staff at Lake Raystown Resort was exceptionally accomodating throughout the wedding planning process and combined to make our wedding weekend an amazing experience. The lodging, food, and venue itself are top notch as well as unique and we cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the staff, quick responses, and overall beautiful wedding we had as a result of everyones' hard work. We had sooo many compliments on the food and reception venue.

    The lake raystown resort was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding! It is beyond beautiful and created a mini vacation for us and all of our guests! The coordinators Dan and Jenn were awesome with answering all of our questions and hashing out the little details. We heard nothing but great remarks from our guests about how good the food was and it was plenty big enough for us and our 200 guests. Definetly recommend this venue!!

    We had our wedding weekend at the Raystown Resort. The entire celebration could not gone any better. Dan worked with us for months ironing out all the details. The venue is beautiful. On a summer night, the patio was a huge hit. Hosting a wedding in Central PA for over 200 people was a challenge. We wanted a large venue that could not only hold us all, but was also a high quality resort. Raystown was perfect. Our guests enjoyed a mini vacation and all stayed on the property which made the weekend much more intimate and fun. I highly recommend the resort!

    Perfect Day-of Execution! Food and setup was immaculate!!

    Our wedding at Lake Raystown Resort was a dream come true! Jenn and Dan were very flexible to our special requests and helped plan everything for the perfect day! Even more so, the food was beyond delicious, the setup was beautiful and Jenn and Dan were extremely involved and attentive the entire night to all of our needs and executed the night flawlessly. With so many moving parts, its a scary thing to count on people to pull all of those parts together, but the staff at Lake Raystown Resort did so perfectly! We could not have asked for a better setup, execution, and overall night with our wedding! Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food and staff were. Thank you so much Jenn, Dan, and staff for such a memorable experience!!!!!

    I had a great wedding at the Resort...Jenn and Dan were always willing to answer all my questions and offer a helping hand when I was setting up. Didnt like that they charged you for everything extra...chairs for the ceremony and the hospitality room should be included in the price.

    The management team at the conference center have poor communication skills. I would recommend this venue to a friend but only if there was new management staff. It's hard to say no because the location is stunning!

    Lake Raystown Resort and Conference lodge is a great space for central PA. There truly isn't anything like it around the area. The coordinators were up and down. Jen was great and very helpful. She would bend over backwards for anything you needed; however, Dan could be difficult and unprofessional. The wait staff at Raystown were very helpful as well. We enjoyed that we could provide our own alcohol and it saved a lot of money. The various housing accommodations for the wedding guests was convenient and appreciated. The food was delicious and served appropriately. I wish the venue had an awning outside in case the weather changes and the ceremony could be held outside. I also wish they had better options for wedding extras like the arbor. We didn't like theirs so my husband's uncle made us one. Overall, we were very satisfied with the venue and would host another event there in the future.
