It’s taken me far too long to write this review, because I truly think it’s impossible to put into words how amazing Kristin is on a personal and professional level - but I’m going to try! My husband and I first spoke with Kristin over 1.5 years out from our wedding date, and from our initial call it was clear that we would be lucky to work with her. Not only is Kristin easy to talk to, but she is also *so* knowledgeable when it comes to Charlottesville/the surrounding area and vendors/businesses. You can hear the joy in her voice over the phone when she talks about these things!! From our welcome drinks venue to our rentals, florist to local paper printing, Kristin knows exactly who and what to recommend in all situations.
I had the pleasure of working with Kristin for the year and a half of planning leading up to our June 7th wedding, with standing phone calls every other week starting 6 months out - I miss these calls! Kristin is organized, thorough, and prompt, but even more than that she’s warm, kind, and has an eye for design and detail that I feel cannot be beat. Throughout planning, Kristin never steered me/us wrong for details both big and small. We spent time picking out linens together during our rentals meeting, and had to pivot to another plan for linens - when she sent over options, they were colors/prints that would not have been my first choice, but wound up pulling my entire vision together beyond anything I could have imagined.
Week of the wedding, Kristin was working tirelessly behind the scenes to do everything humanly possible to make our Plan A a reality - weather forecasts were gloomy with strong potential for rain/storms, but Kristin worked with rentals, catering, photography, and even a meteorologist to be prepared to execute our dream wedding. Of course, she also made sure Plan B was prepared to keep our day running smoothly in case of unfortunate weather. She respected when I as a bride didn’t want to entertain the thought of rain (🤪) but still made sure that no matter what, our day would be magical. Fast forward to June 7, and my mind was truly blown by how seamlessly our day at Keswick came together. From timeline to place settings, Kristin and her *amazing* team made sure our day was perfect with nothing out of place. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and tent reception were everything and more - I still can’t believe it happened (and not a drop of rain in the sky). Even with my husband dislocating his kneecap during our first dance (unfortunately can’t make this up), Kristin and her gals remained calm, cool, and collected, and kept our evening running according to plan.
My husband has said over and over how choosing Kristin as our planner (our first vendor booked after the venue) was the best decision we could have ever made, and I echo his sentiments 1,000x over. Kristin is a gift to her couples and the wedding world, and we are so grateful that out of all the possible vendors, we found her. Book Kristin Ridge Events now - you won’t regret it 😌 -

I can not say enough good things about Kristin! Throughout the entire wedding process, I told all my friends and family that everyone needs a Kristin. She took our vision for our wedding day and curated details that felt so true to us as a couple beyond anything we could have imagined. My husband and I got married in April, and people still come up to us and say how beautiful the day was our guests truly had no complaints. Every one of the vendors Kristin found for us was excellent she truly has a team of professionals who go above and beyond for their couples and exude the same level of attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness. We will always be grateful for her kindness and patience with us throughout the whole process. From florals to wedding invites to our custom horseshoe board to the food, everything felt like such a reflection of us as a couple that we could not have put together without her expertise. We heard so many times that planning a wedding is stressful from other couples, and we could not relate because Kristin made it so fun to plan our wedding, and these pictures are such a reflection of all the love and hard work that went into the day from Kristin. Thank you, Kristin, for everything you did for us, everyone needs a Kristin! -

Best Event Planner Ever!
I worked with Kristin for many years and got to see the inside working of how she did things and I knew I couldn’t have anyone else oversee my daughter’s wedding. She is absolutely amazing! She is efficient. She is quick. She understands a budget and respects it while also finding you everything you could want in need. I cannot recommend her enough!!! -

Stress free, organized, and wonderful!
Kristin was so amazing to work with! She brought to life every idea that we had dreamed of for our wedding day, but exceeded our expectations. She was so knowledgeable, had ideas when we had none, and made sure our day ran smoothly. Not only is she an amazing planner, but she is such a genuine, caring person. I am so thankful to have found her and will forever recommend her to anyone who will listen! -

Stress-free, organized, lovely person
My experience with Kristin was AMAZING! I was so stressed about wedding planning — but then Kristin stepped in! She is so organized and responsive, which put my type A brain to rest. She covered every small detail of our wedding day, and thought of so many things that I never would have on my own. All of my other vendors loved working with her as well. She’s a great team player but will advocate for what is best for the bride and groom. She is 100% the reason why I was able to relax and have fun at my wedding and not stress about the logistics! -

Created our dream wedding!
Kristin is simply amazing! Before even signing a contract with Kristin she jumped in and started providing recommendations. Fast forward to planning with her throughout the year leading up to our wedding, she always had the answer or was willing to find the solution to what we wanted! We appreciated her expertise and the close relationships she has with so many vendors in the greater Charlottesville area and beyond. Kristin made our wedding day go seamlessly and went out of her way to make sure we were stress free. Kristin is forever a friend to us and we would hire her again for any planning we need! -

What an absolute breath of fresh air and energy it was to work with Kristin! Kristin was everything I never knew I needed when it came time to plan our wedding. Her depth and breadth of experience are unparalleled and obvious - without batting a lash, she connected me with the most incredible vendor team, anticipated and alleviated all of my anxieties throughout the whole process, and kept me sane and most importantly, excited. When I didn’t think I had a vision, she skillfully pulled it out of me without me knowing it - and then executed it flawlessly. We wanted to focus on both throwing a party for our bicoastal family and friends, all while showing off the magic of Virginia…with an emphasis on supporting local and having a sustainable event. She made it all happen.
Above being such a joy to partner with during the planning process, Kristin really is just a great human. Kind, caring, empathetic, fun, and professional - anyone would be lucky to have the opportunity to have her make your wedding dreams come true! My only regret is not having a photo with her from the big day! -

Best Wedding Planner in Charlottesville
I do not have enough good things to say about Kristin! We worked together for a year and a half for our May 2022 wedding and we had the wedding of our dreams! The day flowed seamlessly and I did not feel stressed or nervous at all leading up to the day knowing Kristin was handling everything! She has amazing taste, and knows the best and most cost effective vendors to work with! We received so many compliments on our day with some even stating it was the best wedding they had ever been to! We owe this all to Kristin! -

Worry Free Wedding Coordinator!!!
I found Kristin on social media long before I was engaged. She coordinates weddings in the Charlottesville and surrounding areas where my fiancé and I planned to be married and I knew I wanted a coordinator who had worked at my venue before. When we went to Valley Road Vineyards in Afton, VA to secure our date, they provided us with a recommended vendor list and Kristin was at the top of the list! I immediately reached out for pricing and the chance to connect. We had a great first convo – it was like talking to an old friend! I knew it would be a great fit.
Kristin recommended many vendors to me. She was never offended when/if I went with someone else. She worked well with vendors she had past relationships with and with vendors she was working with for the first time. One thing I liked was her contract talks about the amount of communication you will have with her, but this is flexible and she is willing to chat via many forms of communication. We had phone calls, but sometimes we would just shoot a quick text or email and she was ok with that which I appreciated!
Kristin knew exactly what was needed at the venue and would check in periodically with a “work on this” list – which I would ask for, and she really takes the reigns closer to the event. I spent the last few weeks focused more on making sure I had all my décor together rather than coordinating all the vendors, she handled all of that! We only had one on site visit which was great since I was traveling from Richmond and we were able to meet with the Caterer and VRV representative on this visit and map out everything. She was able to build my timeline and then share it with the DJ, Photographer and Videographer. She provided me with different ceremony options and reception set ups and again was easy to work with when I had a bit of a different vision then what was provided. Overall I think Kristin is a wonderful person and her years of experience in the industry helped make my day run smoother than I ever thought it could!! She was more than a day of coordinator for me, but took control of the whole event. I have so much gratitude for her time and dedication!

I don't know where to begin singing Kristin's praises - our day was flawless and it was all because of Kristin and her team. All of the behind the scenes details were taken care of with expert care, and so many things I hadn't thought about that she took care of. I was able to relax and enjoy the day getting ready. In the lead up to the big day, Kristin was in touch with all of our vendors and coordinated tent arrivals, rentals, etc and took away all of my worries! I can't imagine not having Kristin and her team there. They ensured we were on time with the festivities and made us feel like royalty :) I want every bride (especially during COVID times!) to experience the joy of being taken care of Kristin and her team. Kristin was the MVP of our wedding vendor dream team - through all the uncertainty, heartbreak, and changes due to the pandemic, she was there for us through it all. She kept us on track and helped us with details we would never have even thought about. She was mindful of our budget and made stellar recommendations to keep us on budget. She kept our day running without a hitch, and I didn't have to worry about a thing during the big day! It was such a relief to have her there, and I can't recommend her enough. Thank you, Kristin! -

We couldn't have been happier with Kristin's work to plan and coordinate our wedding. Our entire bridal party and suite of vendors took notice of her professionalism, attention to detail, and complete ownership of the day.
Day of, we got to just enjoy our time with family and friends and didn't have to lift a finger or think through a single logistic problem. The day went off without a single issue, and during Covid no less. Not many people can say that about their wedding day, but Kristin and her incredible team made it happen and took the changes and trials of the Covid planning process so smooth. We couldn't recommend her more! -

Could not imagine my wedding without Kristin!!
I did not know how many big and small details there are in planning a wedding!! Kristin recommended so many things that my mom and I did not even think about!! She was there from Start to finish!! The month of was the most stressful and I 100% know I would have been a mess if I did not have Kristin! She was in constant contact with ALL of my vendors to make sure everyone had the schedule and on the same page! Our entire wedding day went seamlessly (at least to me!!) If something did go wrong, Kristin handled it without letting me know!! She went above and beyond and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her to any Bride!!! -

I have never before in any aspect of business found a person who truly cares about her clients more than Kristin. I’m not sure if the day was more important for my wife or for her. To say that she thinks of everything is an understatement. Her knowledge was only trumped by her attentiveness and effort throughout. She put my wife at complete ease throughout a very difficult process. She handled everything you could very imagine and many things that I certainly could not. To say I highly recommend Kristin would be a disservice to anyone who is looking for assistance. You would be simply foolish not to use her, she just made everything better. Best Wedding Planner Ever
Kristin did an amazing job of turning what could have easily been a disaster into a very lovely wedding. We had planned our wedding for April 2020, but rescheduled to August due to COVID 19. She was super helpful in making the appropriate adjustments to make sure our day was safe for our guests. On the day of the wedding, we experienced very heavy rainfall and had to move everything under tents. Despite these setbacks, everything ran very smoothly, guests were able to socially distance, and everything looked amazing. I am still so impressed by the attention to detail. She literally crafted decorations out of plants found around the venue because we had to cut our florist budget. She is very sweet and friendly and so easy to work with. 10/10 would recommend. -

Kristin is the best!!
Kristin went above and beyond during my whole wedding planning process to make sure my husband and I had the most perfect day. We would’ve been lost without her!! Not only did she help us stay organized and on task, she is so well connected with the Charlottesville community she helped us find vendors that were just as invested in helping us pull off this special day as we were. Truly, we had hurricane weather hit unexpectedly the day of our wedding and because of the efforts of our vendors, and all the staff, the entire day still went off beautifully and without a hitch. Kristin even (after running the idea by us) had the venue serve hurricane cocktails to help us and our guests make light of the situation. Little thoughtful details like that are what you can expect if you choose to work with her! She really is the best! -

Kristin and her team were nothing but exceptional during our planning process, and we could not have pulled it off without her!
Kristin so clearly loves what she does. She is wonderfully welcoming and unflinchingly enthusiastic. We loved getting to know her during the planning process, and working with her gave us so much confidence and peace of mind! We were originally planning for September 2019, but due to unexpected complications our original date and venue fell through and we moved the wedding up to April- which meant planning almost everything in less than four months! We were nervous about getting everything done so quickly, especially because we live seven hours away, but Kristin reassured us that she’d done short-notice weddings before and could make it happen.
She 100% delivered. Right away, she suggested an alternative venue that fit our vision and guest list. From there, she did an amazing job of breaking down the planning process into manageable chunks. We had weekly calls and weekly “assignments”, which allowed us to focus on making and executing decisions rather than getting bogged down in research or overwhelmed trying to keep track of tasks. She sent us customized lists of recommended vendors, giving us confidence that we’d be working with great people who fit our needs and our budget. She coordinated everything- vendor meetings and plans, the day-of timeline, venue and ceremony layouts, vendor meals, setup and cleanup, transportation, and probably a bunch of other stuff we never even heard about! We also asked her to make some of our decor decisions and she did an amazing job of making everything beautiful while still feeling personal. She's got a knack for how to set up a beautiful space that makes for beautiful photos- she set up our dessert and escort card tables, made floral arrangements for our cocktail tables, set up a layout of our invitations and rings for photos, and added many other beautiful touches. She was respectful of our budget and had tons of great ideas to help us get the most out of our money. She also had access to a large inventory of decor and serving supplies that saved us money on rentals, and she was even able to negotiate some discounts. All of these things saved us a substantial chunk of change, which made her fee an even better value.
On the day of the wedding, it was amazing to be able to just relax, follow the timeline, and trust her to make game-time decisions. She was on top of everything. She also came with a great team- her assistant Kelsey was easy-going and an excellent extra set of hands, and she had a couple of assistants help set up the dining room before the florist arrived. We were so organized that we ended up with a large chunk of extra time after the first look and before the ceremony, which we used to take a bunch of extra, fun photos and relax and spend time together. Our ceremony even started exactly on time, we had time to enjoy cocktail hour, we ate our whole dinner, and if anything went remotely wrong, we haven’t heard a word about it. We had a ton of compliments from guests on how smoothly the day went and how seamless the transitions were. All of her hard work paid off, and my husband and I, along with our families, wedding party, and guests, truly got to just enjoy the ride.
Hiring Kristin Ridge Events was 100% the best planning decision we made, and we could not recommend them more highly!

We couldn't have had an easier, more comfortable and more seamless experience! We were not local, and Kristin guided us through all of the details (big and small), connected us to so many wonderful vendors, and was responsive and engaging with us--as well as with our family and guests. I always find that the best events are those where you don't notice the professional vendors or scheduled transitions---and Kristin and her team are amazing at that. We still get compliments on how genuine and kind Kristin was leading up to the event and day-of, the flow of the wedding, and the unbelievable food and drink. We were so impressed, and so grateful for all she did to make things happen. Our wedding was better than we ever imagined, and we will definitely call Kristin again to help us plan future events. -

Friend and Advocate!
We love Kristin! She was a delight to work with in-person, across the country, and online. I had the privilege of working with her while I was a UVA student and knew she was/is so detail-oriented, which I LOVE! I was planning our Charlottesville Catholic Mass wedding (ceremony: UVA Chapel, reception: Veritas) from California and beginning my first year of law school - to say the least, I needed help! It was so nice for my parents, sister (MOH), and me to have an advocate who was actually in Charlottesville and could meet with vendors located there. She is a superwoman who tailors her services to your needs for your day - hire her! It is the best decision that you can make for your special day and give yourself peace of mind to enjoy every moment. During the planning process, and the day of our wedding, she was so attentive to our every need - our parents, our wedding party, our vendors, and of course, us! Thank you, Kristin! -
