We had the pleasure of hiring Jenn with Knot Your Average Events to step in and ensure our big day went smoothly! Our wedding ceremony and reception was this past Sunday in Warrenton, NC and there were lots of moving parts/multiple locations. She was responsive, organized, and full of energy throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. Jenn’s experience put us at ease and we are grateful to have had her expertise for our special day. Highly recommend Knot Your Average Events for your next event, especially a wedding! -

Jenn and Blair did a wonderful job for my stepson's wedding in Antiqua. The ceremony was beautiful. Everything went smoothly thanks to Jenn and Blair. I highly recommend them. We had a very detailed itinerary and Jenn made sure we all knew where to be. You will not be disappointed if you choose Knot Your Average Events as your wedding planner, -

Jenn was AMAZING!! I just don't know what I would have done without her. At first I wasn't sure I would need a planner, thinking I could do it all, well I am so glad that we hired her. She was super helpful in all aspects of the planning process. There just aren't enough words to describe how thankful I was to have her as our planner. -

Jenn and her team planned and designed our 12/4/2021 wedding. Let me start by saying that I had an idea of what I wanted my dream day to be but had difficulty articulating it. I knew the feel I wanted, but I had no idea where to even begin to create it. Then we found Jenn! She was able to take my feel and turn it into my dream! Jenn and her team created something you see in the movies. They went above and beyond. Jenn truly wanted my big day to be special and cared about it as it were her own. I cannot thank Knot Your Average Events enough for making our wedding day nothing short of perfect! Her expertise, creativity, and detail are well beyond expectation. Jenn, as a person is also just an amazing woman to work with! I will forever be singing their praise! Did I mention Jenn made it snow at our wedding?! -

Everything ran smoothly with KYAE
Jenn and her team at Knot Your Average Events was the first vendor we chose after we got engaged. Being new to NC, I didn’t know where to begin I’m picking vendors and a venue. Jenn met with us many times to get to know us and provide suggestions for the best vendors. She recommended the perfect venue, which in itself I think was worth the money to hire her. We ending up choosing the venue, dj, officiants, photographers, florist, and lighting/draping vendor from her recommendations and they all turned out wonderful. Now that was all part of the planning that Jenn offers, she also does day of coordination which I HIGHLY recommend!!! She arrived at the venue before any other vendor and facilitated the set up, activities during the ceremony/reception, and the tear down. I can not imagine trying to do all of that while getting ready in the morning (or having my mom and guests do all of that). I was so nice to just trust that she had it all handled and enjoy my night. During the reception she worked with the dj and photographers to have each dance, cake cutting, other activities like loco hour go off without a hitch. Then when the night was over and we were all exhausted, she packed up everything and even put the things I wanted to keep in our car. A little bonus I found at the end of the night was that our hotel room on property was decorated with twinkle lights and rose petals for after the wedding. It is little special touches like this that set Jenn apart from the others. If you are debating getting a wedding planner, I say it is well worth it and if you are thinking about hiring Knot Your Average Events, you will not be disappointed! -

There are no words to express our thanks and appreciation to Jennifer Ball and her amazing team for the awesome job in planning, coordination and carrying out of our daughter’s wedding. The date was moved three times due to the pandemic. Jenn snd all the vendors moved with us. There were tears shed thru the process but all dried by Jenn as she encouraged us thru each move. It was the dream wedding we wanted and, on our side, was seamless. Jenn snd her team are true professionals and it was apparent as everything was on time and flawless. The wedding day was all about the bridal party. We never had to worry about details. We brought a lot of personal items that were staged in ways we hadn’t even thought of. We highly recommend KYAE for any events or Sandals travel needs! -

My husband and I got married June 15th, 2019, and I can wholeheartedly say that Jennifer Ball is absolutely magical. Not a week has passed that my husband and I haven’t talked about Jenn, or something Jenn did for us. She planned our wedding and our honeymoon, kept us sane, continuously reminded us of what WE wanted from the beginning (which is so important after everyone tells you how “they would do it”), and truly— countless other things I most likely will never know about. Jenn was SO good to us— we hired her three (?) times I think...(oh the joy of families trying to change your plans) and she welcomed us back with open arms every time we ran back to her. In fact, from the moment we met her, she said, “I know we are going to work together!” We knew it too, and we are beyond thankful that we did. Our wedding would not have been what it was without her. This woman bent over backwards in every possible way to make our wedding OURS, and I don’t think words will ever be able to express the amount of love and gratitude we have in our hearts for her. Coming from me— someone who had to please three sets of very different parents (and traditional grandmothers)— Jenn still made it possible for us to have the wedding we wanted, and one the family also loved. Tell me that’s not magical! To be honest, I wish I’d given Jenn the reigns from the beginning and used all of her vendors— the few I chose were good, but she KNOWS what she’s doing; she doesn’t just recommend anyone. I attended a friend’s wedding (they hired her after attending ours) and they let her run with it...and it was positively wonderful! The point is, Jenn carried me through the months of planning and my family being...difficult (to say the least). She relentlessly answered all of the questions and emails and phone calls, and not once was she anything but loving and attentive. Look, all you need to know is this— you will be making a huge mistake if you don’t hire Jennifer Ball. She is the absolute best choice for weddings, events, and travel... and the best choice if you want to keep your sanity, and your vision, while planning any of these events. -

Best Planner Ever!
Jennifer Ball is the best planner you could ask for!! She will remind you exactly what your vision was from the very first time you all meet to discuss the best day ever - and will not let you stray from that. Jenn and her team made our day so easy and fun for not only us, but our families as well. We all got to be a guest and not have to worry about anything! Plus, she will surprise you in the best way possible with little changes on the BIG day that make a BIG difference. You will not find anyone better!!! -

KYAE is Amazing!
Jenn and her team made things simple and easy. She was the first person I called when I was overwhelmed with the idea of planning a wedding, she was calm, friendly and professional. She met with us leading up to the wedding to make sure we were hitting target dates and checked in on us. The day of the wedding, I had zero stresses because her and her team took care of every detail to the last minute (what song to play when, who walks down the isle with whom, had our food at the table and drinks ready for us, and all while making it look so smooth and effortless!). We had circus performers at our wedding so her team took that theme and dressed up for the occasion to blend with the wedding vibe, it was these small, unexpected details that Jenn at KYAE is known for! She does this job with her eyes closed, she takes the time to get to know each bride and groom to figure out what she can do to make their day that much more special! Thank you, Jenn! You were amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend your services! -

KYAE and Jennifer Ball in particular will win your trust and heart with her combination of enthusiasm, expertise, fun, experience, guidance when needed -- did I say FUN yet? -- and the ability to address any issues that arise with professionalism. Her experience and love for this work and her clients are key; her skills are truly astronomical. Our wedding was so successful that I told her directly after the ceremony that it was exactly what we wanted, but upon reflection, it exceeded my expectations. Jennifer and her staff went above and beyond in making last minute changes needed for our unity ceremony, and creating alternate backup schedules in case we had to modify timing due to threatening weather. Everything came together brilliantly. I appreciate all that Jennifer and her staff did to make our wedding special, unforgettable to us, as well as a smashing party for our guests. Many guests told us it was the best wedding they're ever attended. Hurray! Highly, highly recommended, run don't walk to get some KYAE into your life! -

Jenn was absolutely amazing to work with. She covered all the bases and then some to ensure that my wedding day was flawless. Jenn is extremely responsive and easy to work with. At then end of the night after our sparkler exit they had the truck pulled up and packed with our things so we could hop in and go home. The few things I thought about having to go pick up the next day were already packed up by Jenn and her team and sent home either with us or with our family, so we had nothing to do the following day except relax! It truly is in the details and you can’t go wrong with KYAE on your team. -

There were so many details that I hadn't thought of and she had so many great ideas. You can tell that #1 she knows what she's doing and #2 she has a true passion for what she does! I would highly recommend her & her company, Knot Your Average Events to anyone that's looking to hire a wedding coordinator or party planner!!
