Best Wedding Planners and Florist in Town!

My husband and I could not have been more satisfied with Kickstand! The whole team was professional, punctual, creative, and organized throughout the entire experience. While we definitely had plenty of vague ideas for our wedding, Courtney and Sally helped pull it all together to create a comprehensive vision and made sure every detail was executed perfectly. With their collective industry experience, they were able to make recommendations and connect us with vendors we didn’t even know we needed. Knowing that they were on top of everything really alleviated wedding-planning-stress that typically drives couples crazy! Above all, the day of the wedding they handled the entire operation, allowing us to truly relax, spend time with our loved ones, and enjoy the celebration we designed. If you are planning a wedding, I wouldn’t do it without them, they are the best in town!!

Is there a 10 star option?!

Where do I even begin? The ladies of Kickstand Events made all of our wedding dreams come true! It has been just about a month since our wedding and every time I think back to that day, it is hard to think of a way if could have been more perfect!! You always hear stories of brides stressing about wedding planning and complaining about how horrible it is, but I can honestly say I had the complete opposite experience. AND we have Sally, and Courtney to thank for that. They immediately understood our vision, helped us keep our priorities straight, and made the process enjoyable. Sally is a logistical genius and Courtney has an impeccable eye for design! Additionally all the teammates they have helping them behind the scenes and on wedding day are equally as amazing. Thank you Kickstand for the BEST wedding and easiest planning process!

I highly recommend hiring Kickstand Events for your wedding! After my first phone call with Sally, I knew that we had to work with Kickstand to plan our wedding. I instantly clicked with Sally’s bubbly personality and trusted that she would deliver on what we were looking for, which was a stress-free, fun event! Hiring a wedding planner, but specifically Kickstand Events, was a must for us because my husband and I wanted to soak up our engagement period without the stress that can come with wedding planning. We were certainly able to do this thanks to Sally, who kept me organized and took a lot of the responsibilities and pressure off of my plate.

Originally we were thought we would only need Kickstand for the planning process, but after further consideration we decided to sign on for the tandem package that includes florals and design. Courtney, who is the design expert, immediately got my vision and brought it to life! She worked with us to design exactly what I had in mind, while staying conscious of our budget. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were STUNNING and cohesive. Every detail was designed and put together in a way that my mother and I could not have achieved if we attempted DIY decor. Additionally, having Courtney work with all of our sub design vendors (programs, linens, chairs, etc.) took a huge burden off of us. I did not realize how many emails and questions you have to answer while planning a wedding, but having Courtney there to take care of everything with these vendors was so helpful!!

I’ve been to other weddings where the wedding planners look stressed or annoyed during the ceremony and reception and it’s very obvious and uncomfortable as a guest. And we’ve all been to weddings where the groomsmen complain about being bossed around by the planners. I did not want this at our wedding and this is not how Kickstand operates! Sally, Courtney, and their assistant Jessie seemed so genuinely happy to be at our wedding! I felt like if our vendors were having a good time, the wedding would go smoother and as a result be less stressful for everyone. They ran the event with smiles on their faces, while keeping everything perfect, professional, on-time, and stress free for our families and bridal party. If something went “wrong” during our wedding, I still have no clue (and neither does my mom, husband, families, friends, etc).

One thing that really stood out to me was how highly our venue and other vendors spoke of Kickstand Events. When we arrived at our venue to drop some things off a couple of days before the wedding, our venue coordinator said that this was her first time working with Kickstand and that they are now at the top of her referral list. That statement spoke volumes to hear from the other side of things. Our photographer and DJ also sung their praises. Oh and we heard from almost every guest that it was “THE BEST WEDDING EVER! We sure thought so, but I guess we weren’t just being biased. Everyone noticed how great this team was!

I am so grateful we were referred to Kickstand Events and will certainly be referring them to any friends looking for a wedding planner. You will not regret hiring Kickstand for your wedding or event! They are focused on your unique wants and needs and go above and beyond to deliver a flawless, stress free event! We had such a fun time working with them over the past 10 months and will miss our emails and planning meeting get togethers! Thank you Sally and Courtney! We love you!

Could not have had a better team!

Sally and Courtney were wonderful from the first day I met them until today! I am so thankful my daughter chose them as her planner and designer. We relied on them for everything and they came through with flying colors. Everyone at the wedding, including the venue team, said they were fabulous. We can’t say enough good things about Sally, Courtney and the entire Kickstand Events team. After several postponements, we decided to elope in June 2020. Sally and Courtney somehow found a way to make that day even more special than we imagined. We finally had our celebration in June 2021 and it was beyond magical. Sally and Courtney created a beautiful evening – from the flowers, the décor, the thoughtful details, keeping us on track throughout the night, and making sure I always had a drink in my hand 😊 – we couldn’t have done it without them. They are organized, responsive, creative, extremely talented, and just incredible humans. Thank you, Kickstand, for turning a crazy year into such an amazing and enjoyable experience for our families. We love yall!

We ABSOLUTELY love Sally and Courtney with Kickstand Events

I can’t even express how much I love these two sweet, kind, and very smart ladies! My daughter and I met Sally and Courtney over 2 years ago to start planning her wedding! We had no idea what we were doing, what we wanted, and we lived two hours away from the wedding venue! Sally, in her very calm and organized manner immediately put us at ease by explaining our timeline and how easy and fun it would be to navigate the whole wedding planning process. Courtney, with her very creative brain just knew how to weave a lovely description of how beautiful our event would be! We left it all on their very capable hands! We were so very excited for our daughter’s June 2020 wedding, then BAM! COVID! It all came to a screeching halt! But—Sally and Courtney, without missing a beat (and this was very new and strange territory for them to navigate), calmly guided us through the process of totally re-scheduling the entire wedding. Over the next year we planned, and planned, and planned again as the rules kept changing! We thought we had our vision for our design plan, when Courtney, at one of our last meetings, looked at my daughter and just knew the plan we had was not “her” anymore that maybe she had changed since COVID. That intuitiveness to re-create the entire plan and Sally’s efficient coordination with all of our vendors ended up turning our daughter’s wedding into something very unique and special for us—and for my daughter, it was totally “her”! It was light, and fresh and homey! Our guests all commented on how wonderful everything looked and that it felt like home! To give them that vibe of being comfortable and connected to everyone else in the room is something that will always warm my heart! They didn’t just keep us on schedule (thank God for you Sally!) and make a beautiful design plan (you’ve got mad skills, Courtney!), they created a “feeling”; a feeling of relaxed comfort and friendship and fun that ran through the whole entire evening to the point where NO ONE wanted to leave! ☺️ And those two stayed with us to the very end! I hope they had fun and enjoyed everyone else enjoying what they created! I don’t know if I’ve ever had as special of a night! You both made it magical and most of all you made our daughter’s dreams come true! We feel like we’ve made forever friends in these very special ladies and I’m hoping we can find a way to work with them again one day! Wish we could do it all over again! Best Wedding Coordinators EVER!

We worked with Kickstand for the past year and a half before our wedding. We pretty much had everything planned and then with COVID-19 had to switch to an alternate venue and Kickstand didn’t miss a beat. Sally and Courtney went above and beyond with everything possible to make it our dream wedding and we couldn’t have done it without them. We and our families were so comfortable with them, which made it that much easier on our wedding day to know they had our backs. And on top of everything else, they created the most beautiful, magical wedding for us. They really are the dream team and I would recommend them to anyone!

Have your dream event and spare yourself the stress

Kickstand events recently helped me pull off a bridal shower with @ 40 guests in the middle of Covid restrictions. Our original venue could not accommodate us so short notice we changed the location to a backyard. Courtney immediately got to work. She went on Google Maps, downloaded a picture of the back yard and had a layout plan and an inspiration board to me in a day. She completely transformed the backyard into a beautiful venue for our shower. She handled everything, taking all the work and the stress off of me. I had previously booked a florist otherwise I would have had Kickstand do the floral arrangements. Courtney and an assistant were there early to make sure everything was in place and beautiful. They also stayed for the entire shower so I could enjoy myself (not typically the case for a party host)
Courtney was a lifesaver. I could not have pulled it off without her-it definitely would not have been as beautiful! I will definitely call Kickstand Events to plan another event and would highly recommend them!

Best wedding planner

Kickstand Events was absolutely amazing to work with. I had a vision of what I wanted but I'm not a design person so I relied on them to make my vision come true. They did that and more. Our wedding was perfect all thanks to the ladies at Kickstand Events. Something that was important to me was the budget. I wanted to make sure we did our best to stay within the budget. Kickstand was very supportive and helpful by ensuring we kept the vision within the budget. The communication back and forth was very timely and I really enjoyed the few face-to-face meetings we had as well. Kickstand assisted with the rehearsal to ensure we were timely and prepared for the next day. The day of the wedding was not even a little bit stressful thanks to Kickstand. They collaborated with all the vendors, got things setup, brought the beautiful flowers, got us where we needed to be on time, etc. It was such an easy, fun , wonderful experience. I wish I could do it all over again!! I can't say enough great things about Kickstand . Sally and Courtney are absolutely amazing to work with. I consider them amazing friends now. If you're looking for a fantastic wedding planner, Kickstand Events is the event planner to use!!!

Cannot recommend Kickstand enough!

Sally, Courtney and the entire Kickstand team are absolutely fantastic. We got married on an island with some tricky logistics and they made the entire process smooth, efficient and fun. My mom and I are not type A people so it was hands down the best decision we made. Not only did they keep us on track, but they also created a stunning event with our best interest in mind the entire time -- and celebrated us like we were family! They are beyond organized, super thoughtful, intentional and crazy talented. I cannot recommend them enough.

Excellent Planning for Events of all Types and Size

I have had the privilege of working with Kickstand on many different type of events- from weddings that I have attended or helped to plan all the way to 1,000+ attendee corporate events for the company I work for. Each time I think they have outdone themselves and it couldn't get any better they always prove me wrong. This December 2018; I hired them for our 750+ person corporate Holiday party, gave them minimal guidance and direction and they blew the event out of the water. Every little detail is always immaculate and I never have to worry about things going wrong (if they do, I've never been exposed to it!). From vendor management, to the floral designs- they continue to exceed my expectations. On top of everything else from a business standpoint, they are simply a pleasure to work with and genuinely wonderful people. As an event planner within a large marketing department, I can't recommend them more and can't wait to see what they come up with for our future events!

Kindred Kickstand!

When I found out I needed to have an event coordinator for our venue I was overwhelmed to say the least! Like most other newly engaged brides, I assumed I could knock out wedding decor and planning with a hot glue gun, my Pinterest board, and an agenda. However, you really don’t know all of the ins and outs of planning a wedding until you’re in the thick of it...enter the absolutely amazing team of Courtney and Sally of Kickstand! From the very first time I spoke to Sally on the phone, I knew I didn’t need to look any further for our even coordinator! She was SO nice, and determined to make our wedding dreams come true! I also loved the fact that with Kickstand, it was a one-stop shop for both coordination and florals! By the end of our first planning meeting in person, I truly felt like I had known Courtney and Sally forever and they had become fast friends! They have the ability to make you feel heard, and work so hard to turn your vision into a reality, while also being conscientious of your budget. They are upfront about costs, and also work with you to make sure you are getting the very best deals from your vendors! On top of that, they coordinate with your entire wedding team to ensure that everyone is on the same page! Plus, you can spitball an idea, and they know the people/ways to make it happen! Along the way, I began to stress that I wasn’t stressed enough because I felt that I should be doing more! I attribute my lack of bridal stress to the Kickstand Team because they covered all of the things that stress brides out! When it comes down to throwing the wedding of your dreams, you need someone on your team that will go all of the way for you and with you....Kickstand will provide that and so much more! From ensuring I got a sample bouquet for my bridal portraits on short notice, handing out glow sticks on the dance floor, coordinating the exit, being a calm presence during the hecticness of the wedding day, and seamlessly flipping our ceremony to the reception, Kickstand does it all!! Our wedding fulfilled every expectation we had and so much more! We received so many compliments about the work of Kickstand! We will never be able to thank Courtney and Sally enough for all they did for us and for being so authentic during our wedding journey...we will treasure them always!

Sally and Courtney were hands down the best wedding planners we could have asked for. So kind and relaxing attitudes. They were very responsive, followed up, and took care of everything from vendor management to design. We didnt have to worry about anything leading up to our wedding day. Kickstand was the top choice recommended by my venue, which hosts tons of weddings by tons of event planners. For less than the cost of my wedding band, I had my dream 200-person tented garden wedding handed to me. When I say dream wedding, I mean it. Want hanging floral installations? Chandeliers installed? Floral arch? Planning alone, I would not have known where to go for these services and would have missed out details that made my wedding day. I told Sally and Courtney my ideas and they brought vendor proposals to me. I never had to contact or coordinate with any vendor other than Kickstand, which otherwise would have made my wedding weekend constant phone calls. They even helped me put my order of ceremony together, planned seating and escorts, timeline of my reception-- all things I had never thought of planning and that I didn't know the standard/tradition for. I just showed up to my rehearsal and wedding and the girls took it from there. It was such a relief to not have to do or remember ANYTHING on my wedding weekend. The team at Kickstand Events exceeded our expectations in every way. Sally and Courtney were so easy to work with, and were filled with innovative and creative ideas. They understood our daughter's (also named Sally) style and desires from the beginning. We held the wedding on our private property in Morehead City, NC. Courtney and Sally make a great team and each brings special strengths to the creative process. My biggest compliment to them is, no matter what the circumstance or issue, there was never a problem. Just solutions! The Kickstand team had to bring everything to the venue, from soup to nuts. No problem! When terrible weather threatened, they had additional tents arrive that same afternoon. They are both relaxed and attentive, and their vendors professional and courteous. I loved how they used the property itself as a focal point, using fabulous clear tents with tremendously high ceilings which allowed our live oak canopy to be a part of the picture. One of my friends told me last week she and her husband had been to SIX weddings this summer, and Sally and Will's was the best in every way. Thanks to Sally, Courtney and the team at Kickstand Events! I simply cannot recommend them highly enough and I'll be forever indebted to them for helping us create the unique tone for this wedding that the bride and groom wanted. I am delighted to give them a glowing review and would give them 10 stars if I could.

I can’t say enough good things about Kickstand Events. My husband and I are both military officers who plan things for a living, so we know a thing or two about planning and executing well-coregraphed activities. That being said, Kickstand blew away our expectations both in the lead up to the wedding and in the event itself. Sally and Courtney were friendly, accessible, and easy going as they helped us through the planning process, and their amiable professionalism - not to mention their impeccable preparation - made the wedding day a breeze! Honestly, I could not even begin to describe how A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Kickstand Events and team are! As a bride who is passionate about design and also planning a destination wedding, I feel like I may have been more on the high maintenance side but Sally and Courtney went above and beyond from start to finish!
Sally is praised by all Wilmington wedding vendors, and I never had to worry that every T was crossed and every i was dotted about all the tiny details and organization of the vendors, schedule, and entire wedding day! Our day was flawless and completely stress-free thanks to Sally!

Kickstand Events was the absolute best decision we made for our wedding day! My husband and I knew from the beginning we wanted to work with Sally, Courtney and the Kickstand team. Sally handles the logistics, while Courtney nails the florals and design. I honestly never once stressed about a single aspect of the day and when I showed up to the venue the morning of our wedding, I was honestly blown away that my wedding looked like a million dollar dream wedding! The night went off without a single glitch, even down to getting into our getaway car where our bags, champagne, water, and leftover food was waiting for us. Myself, my husband and my guests had the BEST night celebrating and we credit it all to the beautiful atmosphere and impeccable execution of the night thanks to kickstands.

Kickstand events did a phenomenal job with our rehearsal dinner and wedding day flowers. They were beyond accommodating! They were extremely helpful and full of knowledge. They are 100% on the side of the bride and groom and always do what is best for the couple. They are some of the nicest people I have ever worked with and I would recommend them to anyone (even beyond weddings). They are always calm, cool and collected. Courtney's flowers are stunning! They have great connections in the NC coastal area which was extremely helpful as we planned a destination wedding! Also, if you are looking to do a Bald Head Island wedding, these are your people!

The ladies at Kickstand Events are absolutely amazing! They are so organized, helpful, flexible, and will do absolutely everything in their power to ensure your big day goes off without a hitch! I really cannot imagine not having a day-of coordinator - there are so many details that you would drive you (and your family/friends) crazy trying to manage it yourself. Kickstand was my absolute life saver throughout the wedding planning process. I know that I could not have pulled it off without them. We ended up having to change our wedding date from 10/8 to 10/7 due to Hurricane Matthew's impending arrival into Wilmington. Before pitching the idea to me, Sally (co-owner) contacted all of my amazing vendors to see if moving the wedding up a day would even be a feasible possibility. They all responded immediately with yes' and promised to honor their contracts. Sally coordinated all of this with my sister's and matrons of honor before proposing the idea to me. When it was suggested to me, the decision seemed so much easier already knowing it was a good option for us. Sally took an incredibly stressful time and simplified it. She saw a problem and she fixed it in the best way she could have. I got to have my dream wedding entirely because of this amazing company. They also did my flowers and my guests couldn't say enough how beautiful they all were. I worked with Ally Favory and she is just as talented as she is sweet. She had a vision and I encouraged her to run with it as I know very little about flowers. Ally tweaked the estimates several times to ensure that I was comfortable with the price without sacrificing any beauty. One of my favorite parts was the floral comb she created for me. I asked for it last minute and sent her a picture of my hair style and she put together the most gorgeous hair accessory. I loved every bit of the work this amazing company did. If you are questioning whether or not you need the help of a wedding planner, let me assure you, you need Kickstand for planning and florals!

So fortunate that I chose Kickstand Events!!! I used Kristina Hannon as my day of coordinator and so glad I did! She was very responsible, organized and whenever I needed anything no matter how big or small the request was, she was ontop of it. She was in charge of finding most of my vendors and keeping in contact with them throughout the planning process. The last month before my wedding was the most stressful and she kept me cool, calm, and collected. She had a checklist and kept me focused in completing all tasks. She made me feel as though I was her only client, which for a bride is very important! My wedding day would not have been the most perfect day without her and her amazing skills:) For my florist I stayed with Kickstand and used Ally Favory. OMG!!! She took my ideas, pinterest board and brought it to life. The flowers were stunning and matched perfectly with my dress, bridesmaids, and venue. This duo team was my dream team and I can't thank them both enough for all the help and support in order to help me marry the man of my dreams:) LOVED KICKSTAND EVENTS!!!

Absolutely amazing in every way! They made our wedding day seemless and their attention to detail is incredible! They went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process. My husband and I enjoyed working with them and loved the design, florals and details Courtney put together which was perfectly complimented with the amazing organizational skills Sally has, to pull off a spectacular wedding! They also know bald head island like no one else, which proved to be extremely helpful during the entire process!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars, definitely made the right decision to go with Kickstand for design, planning and day of coordination!!!

As soon as I met Sally and her team, I knew we had made the right decision! From day one, Sally was responsive, kind, accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. Her positive attitude made the whole planning process a pleasure! Every aspect of our wedding day was executed perfectly. Sally had a wonderful calming presence and put the whole wedding party at ease. She kept everyone in the loop - even responding to a flurry of texts from the groom and other family members. We could not have asked for a more friendly, knowledgeable and organized coordinator. Most importantly, I felt that she truly cared about making our wedding special. Kristina at Kickstand is the BEST! She surpassed my vision of what I wanted for my wedding decor! She was always calm, organized, and accommodating throughout the whole wedding process and wedding day! She even helped me get together some last minute ideas I had for the seating chart and menu display the morning of the wedding! My bridesmaids and mom were very impressed by Kristina and we could not have survived the day without her! I would highly recommend Kickstand to any couple that wants to have an amazing and stress free wedding. Our wedding would not have been anywhere close to the beautiful and memorable day that it was without the hard work of Sally and her team. Sally on the planning side and Courtney on the design side took care of everything behind the scenes and made the whole planning process easy and the entire wedding weekend flawless. Hiring Kickstand is well worth it and it would be a mistake to try to plan and execute a wedding without them!

Don't think twice about booking the Kickstand team, they are amazing! Truthfully, we don't know what our wedding would have been like without Sally's hard work, persistence and skill. The Kickstand team was incredibly organized and seemed to take care of everything, from the initial planning process to the rehearsal, and all the day-of wedding events. If there were any challenges on our wedding day, we remained blissfully unaware throughout. The Kickstand team was terrific in scheduling with all of our vendors. Furthermore, we received several compliments from those vendors regarding the team's professionalism and communication in the months leading up to the wedding. We also used Kickstand's design services, and Courtney planned every little detail with the utmost care and elegance. Everything was perfect - from the flowers to the tablecloths, the place settings to the personalized seating chart and the bar menus. Based on our experience, you would be missing the icing on your wedding cake if you don't choose to use Kickstand!

Kickstand Events were AMAZING! I highly recommend this amazing team of ladies. I have chronic illnesses and was not able to plan my wedding. My husband and I did not think our wedding would happen. Until we met Kickstand. They listened to us, and never lost faith in our wedding. Each lady made an extra effort to make our dream wedding a reality. I was to sick to have meetings, mock ups, ect., but I told them what I like and should them pictures. I left all the choices up to them and trusted them for the final design. With my trust, I finally saw the finish project on my wedding day. They did not let me down. It exceeded all of my exceptions and DREAMS! It was truly magical and a start to a fairytale! I felt like I was in a story book. I can't thank theses ladies enough for all of their hard work, amazing design, and making my day a reality. The reassurance I received from them while I was in the hospital, recovering, and trying to get my life back, was amazing. They truly are dream makers, and I call them my fairy godmothers. Without them, I don't know what I would have done. Thank you so much Kickstand for an amazing, magical wedding day!

You will NOT regret choosing this AWESOME company! Courtney and Sally were amazing to work with and were so informative, understanding, easy to talk to, creative... I could go on and on. I expressed to the Kickstand team that we had a vision, but we also had a budget and wanted to stick as close to that budget as possible. Kickstand took our ideas and made our vision a reality! You wouldn't have known we even HAD a budget... Everything look absolutely fantastic and we received compliment after compliment, and still are! Words cannot truly express how grateful we are to this team - they made things EASY and took all of the stress off of us. If there is one vendor I loved the most (and we had a lot), it was Kickstand. My Husband and I met with the amazing ladies at Kickstand to discuss their day of coordination services for our ceremony and ended up choosing to use them for our flowers as well, and I don't think there are enough good words in the world for these ladies.

First off, if you are debating getting a day of coordinator, GET ONE, and use Kickstand. Kristina met with us about a month before our wedding and went over every little detail. She contacted our other vendors & made sure they had all the info they needed, helped us create a day-of timeline, and just generally make sure all the details were taken care of. When our wedding day arrived, we had trouble with the shuttle we booked for the bridal party. I called Kristina immediately and she handled the ENTIRE issue - including getting us a different shuttle with a different company with less than two hours notice!!! Without Kickstand - our ceremony would have been a mess!

As for the florals that they designed..where do I even start?? I went into our meeting having NO idea what I wanted..I just knew I wanted something Southern and classic. Courtney delivered on that request. They were some of the most stunning & unique bouquets I have ever seen. Flowers can really make a huge impact on a wedding..many guests commented on how gorgeous ours were & some actually asked to take centerpieces home!! Courtney made sure to use every bloom, and used leftovers to make additional arrangements for our bar/lounge area. Courtney & her team really went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with what I was getting AND made sure we stayed in budget.

I cannot imagine what our day would have been like without these ladies, and I honestly wish we had done full event design with them! They do amazing work and are WELL worth every penny. I'm going to miss working with them! Thank you for everything!!!!

The ladies at Kickstand Events are amazing! If there is one thing you should do when starting to plan a North Carolina wedding it should be hire them! I have never been so stress free. I shared my vision via my Pinterest board and they searched out French linen, created a driftwood arbor covered in greenery and designed bouquets and centerpieces even more beautiful then the ideas I had sent them. I never doubted them. I knew they would make it happen and they did! They even set up my entire ceremony and reception outside and when a summer storm popped up on the horizon they took everything down, waited out the thunderstorm, dried the tables, chairs and dance floor and re set up in record time. All the while checking to see that my guests were enjoying an early cocktail hour and that my bridesmaids and I had extra wine and snacks. I actually think they may have ordered that storm so that the sky would be absolutely gorgeous for my wedding pictures.

Kickstand provided the flowers for my wedding in May on Bald Head Island. I cannot say enough good things about their service, bouquets and centerpieces they created for my wedding. They were so easy to deal with! Starting off, I had ZERO idea what I wanted in flowers. Before planning my wedding, I barely knew what any flowers were called. Courtney and Sally walked me through all the places I needed flowers and helped me get an idea of what I wanted for my event. I had multiple changes throughout the planning process, and they were quick to respond and happy to help me! Especially in planning my wedding from afar, I felt very taken care of. Getting married on Bald Head Island, they were very familiar with the venue and knew exactly the best places for the flowers and helped to guide me. I had a tighter flower budget and they were able to accommodate my needs flawlessly. On the day of, they took care of all the set up for me; I didn't have to worry about a thing! Not to mention, the final product was breathtaking! My bouquet of blush peonies, light pink roses, and white hydrangeas were stunning. Very clean and exactly what I imagined! I cannot thank Kickstand enough for adding such beauty to my big day!

Sally and Courtney were amazing to work with!! I did not have to worry about a thing. I knew they were taking care of everything. Once they came on board, I didn't lift a finger. I love that the Kickstand team provided event design, floral design and event coordination, so everything was seamless. Courtney took my ideas for an eco-friendly, organic wedding and brought them to life creating a gorgeous tablescape that did not include one flower. I received so many compliments on the decor. My bouquet was stunning. I did not want to put it down. Sally kept me on track throughout the process with monthly emails on what I should be doing when. One of the best things they did that eased my " bride brain" was an inspiration board where they took ALL of my ideas- and there were a lot and distilled them down to an overall look and feel. They were able to show me that they understood my vision. She and her team executed everything flawlessly so the day of, I literally didn't have to worry about anything, but focus on saying "I do" and enjoying my new husband and celebrating with family and close friends. To me that was priceless. I was able to be fully present and in the moment on this most joyous occasion.
This team is creative, confident and caring. Exactly what I needed.

From our first meeting, when we received champagne and wedding planning magazines to the actual day of the event, Kickstand was an amazing partner to help pull our wedding together. Their communication is always timely and professional and they are always conscious of your budget when making suggestions for your event. They really helped take the stress out of the wedding planning process and allowed my wife and I to enjoy our engagement! We had our both ceremony and reception at the Brooklyn arts center and they were total pros all day. The space was beautiful as were the flowers that they provided. The fact that they can do both is a huge help as it's one less vendor to deal with. They were a pleasure to work with and always made us feel like our event was a priority. I used Kickstand Events for all of my wedding flowers in July and they were beyond what I expected! I had one meeting with Courtney about the style and colors I had in mind and left the rest details to her. Having complete trust in Courtney's talent was the best decision I could have made. She delivered amazing, bright, beautifully fresh bouquets and boutonnieres for my wedding party and family members and installed the most incredible garlands and centerpieces for our reception. Although I spent more than I had originally thought, it was worth every last penny! What I wanted was beyond what I had budgeted but when it came down to it, the overage was so so so worth it. Our reception ballroom was dripping in greenery and huge centerpieces were the stars of the show. I couldn't be happier and I can't thank Kickstand enough!!

I can not say enough wonderful positive comments about the ladies at Kickstand Events. They were more than happy to take our ideas and expand upon them to make my daughter's wedding everything she dreamed it would be. They took care of my husband and I as well as the bride and groom during the reception offering us drinks and food and reassurance. They blew up balloons and even decorated the golf cart that the bride and groom drove away in. Courtney's flowers were incredible. I used Kickstand Events for their DOC services and could not have done it without them. My wedding day would not have been as enjoyable or stressfree without Courtney. Knowing that I could trust her to set up my wedding while I was enjoying getting ready with my girls was priceless. Courtney also did my flowers for the event and they were gorgeous. She worked with me on pricing and helped ensure that I got everything I wanted within my price range. On the day of the rehearsal and the wedding Courtney made sure that everything went according to my plan and also kept the entire wedding on track. I never had to worry once if something was going to get done or if something would go forgotten because she was always on top of it and always had a smile on my face. Best part of all- she LISTENED. She always asked me what I wanted and only listened to me. I couldn't have asked for more- Courtney helped make my dream wedding a reality with no stress on me the day of. She also called my vendors and verified their arrivial the weeks leading up the day. Without this I would have been beyond stressed and worried. Kickstand Events. Wow! What amazing people who make up this fabulous company. I worked closely with Sally and Courtney and they made my wedding planning process easy, fun and enjoyable. I honestly do not know what I would have done without them through the entire journey and especially the day of. They met with me frequently, answered any questions I had and guided my now husband and I to the wedding of our dreams. They took care of ALL my rentals, kept all my vendors up to date, created my invitations, put together my flowers… seriously the whole package. And my flowers. To. Die. For. I heard so many wonderful comments about my flowers and am still hearing how AMAZING they were 4 months later. I was in love with my bouquet, my centerpieces, everything. Also on the day of, they brought a great team who helped the event go SO smoothly. My daughter had the perfect Wilmington wedding in late 2013 thanks to the significant and highly professional efforts of the Ladies from Kickstand Events. The level of coordination was extraordinary and their vendor relationships are rock-solid. The post-wedding photos showcased the amazing floral and table arrangements that were breathtaking the night of the event. Attention to detail was innate in their attitudes leading up to the event and as a result, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves immensely. As we now plan my other daughter's wedding in Raleigh later this year, we are looking back at the "value added" by Kickstand Events down in Wilmington and we're thinking of somehow engaging them yet again, the distance notwithstanding. Bravo, ladies. You get it.

Courtney from Kickstand designed the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen for my Bald Head Island wedding. I spent hours researching florists, and spent even more hours exchanging emails with Courtney about my vision, and she 100% nailed it. My flowers were so gorgeous, and Courtney was so patient and kind throughout the entire process. Not only were the flowers gorgeous, but the colors were exactly what I wanted as well. We were so happy with the day of coordination that Sara and the kickstand team provided. They made sure they had all the information they needed prior to the day of the wedding so my husband and I didn't have to make any decisions and could just enjoy the day. Everything went so smoothly - we have no idea if anything even went wrong. I would highly recommend kickstand for wedding coordination!

I worked with Brittany from kickstand events and I absolutely loved her! She made everything so easy for us and took care of every last detail! Kickstand events goes above and beyond to make sure your big day goes perfectly! Having a day of coordinator is an absolute must and having kickstand events will ensure you are relaxed and happy and that your wedding day is everything you want and more! I can not say enough how happy we were with all the services provided by kickstand and it is the best money we spent to have them there taking care of everything!

Courtney and her girls at Kickstand Events are amazing, our wedding was everything we had imagined and more! My husband and I have pretty crazy schedules, Courtney was extremely flexible and such a joy to work with. Not only did they do a great job coordinating, our flowers were beyond beautiful! I don't think we could ever thank Courtney and her team enough for working so hard to make our day as beautiful and romantic as we had hoped! :) :) :)

My wedding would not have turned out as flawless as it did without the help of the ladies at Kickstand. We used their Day-of-coordination team and they were great! Brianna was absolutely a God send! She helped me tremendously getting all the little details in place for my big day. Kickstand also did our flowers, which turned out great! So happy with their services!

Kickstand Events provided the most adorable floral arrangements for my sisters "Pickles and Ice Cream" themed shower. The flowers were gorgeous and they arranged them in ice cream containers and coordinated those with pickle jars with bows. Their unique arrangements certainly stood out in the room, and so many people complimented us on them. These girls bring a really unique style to any event and do so professionally and at a reasonable cost.

I have known the girls at Kickstand for quite some time, they are my go-to people to make my events beautiful! Kickstand made absolutely stunning arrangements for a surprise 30th anniversary dinner party I was throwing and they were perfect! I sent in some inspiration pictures and they added their "signature" touch to them making them the talk of the night! I can't thank them enough for their help with this last minute event and I know I can always count on them to do an amazing job with all of my events! I would recommend them to anyone!

We used Kickstand Events to help us plan our July 5th, 2013 wedding. My mother and I having never planned any large event before, we relied heavily on Kate and the Kickstand team. The whole process from initial meeting to the actual wedding was smooth and painless thanks to their knowledge and expertise. I initially came to them with an idea of what I wanted and they helped bring it to life, with an amazing design and gorgeous flowers. On the actual wedding day everything went smoothly and Kickstand really stepped in and made sure everything ran according to plan. Thanks to Kate and the girls at Kickstand we had an amazing event that was beautifully designed and well executed. If I could give one piece of advice to any future bride, hiring an event planner such as Kickstand Events, makes sure that on your big day everything goes as planned and then you can actually enjoy the event knowing that its in the hands of the professionals!

The folks at Kickstand truly made a dream wedding come true. From the very first conversation to the last ,working with the team at Kickstand could not have been a better experience. They were professional, attentive and while they worked hard to get what our family envisioned, they also contributed wonderful ideas of their own that left our guests saying that it was the best wedding ever. Kickstand Events gave my husband and I the most amazing and beautiful dream wedding! To the very last detail these girls created everything around who my husband and I are. It felt like the most personal event! Many guests complimented all of their hard work, organizational skills day of, and mentioned that the ceremony and reception was so perfect for Tyson and I. We cannot thank the girls at Kickstand Events enough!!

The Kickstand team was a lifesaver on my wedding day. Not only did they keep me on track with planning throughout the year but having them by my side on the wedding day was priceless! My bouquet was exactly what I had imagined and Courtney was even able to include the exact rose that my grandmother had in her bouquet. The entire day went by so quickly but I couldn't imagine it going so well without Kickstand. If there was a problem at some point that day, neither my guests nor I knew anything of it! I can't thank those girls enough for making my wedding day the dream I always hoped it would be.

These ladies turned what would surely have been a DIY disaster of a day into the perfect wedding. I had so many plans and things that I wanted to get done and time and time again I was able to give them the projects that I just couldn't handle. They were professional, focused, and a lot of fun! They gave us fabulous recommendations for so many little things that would have been left out and were always willing to work with the budget. All in all, I couldn't have had the perfect wedding day without these women and I would encourage anyone looking for a wedding planner to look into Kickstand!

Kickstand Events were my day of wedding coordinators! They were enthusiastic, responsive and beyond helpful from the moment I started talking to them! The day of the wedding would of never been the same without these girls! Sally was my go to girl for the entire wedding and was always quick to accomodate anything I needed, as well as did a great job making the day go smooth! LOVED our Kickstand Gals! From start to finish they were always quick to respond, reply and react! We had a flawless wedding day with their help and the guests also commented on their hard work! Courtney and Kate are the best! My daughter asked me to plan her wedding while she was in Graduate school and she wanted it to be in Wilmington, not our home town! Based on the look of their website I knew they were the pefect team to help me. Their style is fun yet chic. Both girls had great ideas and they were helpful when I didn't know what to do. KICKSTAND was an absolute god send the week of the wedding. With friends and family coming in from out of town I wanted to send time with them not venders! Kate and Courtney took care of EVERYTHING! I was able to enjoy being the mother of the bride without worrying about if everything was ready. I HIGHLY recommend KICKSTAND to anyone planning a wedding. Planning a wedding in Wilmington from Raleigh was difficult!! Kickstand made our wedding day very easy and special. The first day we hired them they called all of our venders and helps us find venders that we didn't have yet.. They took immediate control over our wedding and let my fiancé and I enjoy our engagement.

I Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone! Courtney and Kate were always on top of everything, they are a great team that compliment each other very well.

We worked with Kickstand events to provide day of wedding coordination. Living out of state we could not have pulled it off without their help. We had a tent reception with a lot of vendors to coordinate. Kristina and her team helped coordinate the vendors and communicated with us all along the way to help us get everything set up .
They came the day before the wedding to go through all that had to be set up for the wedding and to run through a rehearsal.
When I arrived at the wedding everything had been taken care of , the tent had was all set up and everything was in place. The tent looked beautiful with all the decorations in place. It would not have been possible without this service. If you are doing a tent wedding you absolutely need this service. I did not have to worry the day of the wedding or through the reception because they were on top of everything. They even helped break down the tables and decorations after the reception .
They were a pleasure to work with. This was my first experience with a wedding and initially did not think this was something I needed. I learned that there are so many components to coordinate and if you want to be able to enjoy the day you need this help. They even picked up a gluten free cake for the bride and brought it to the rehearsal dinner. They knew what was needed to make the event flow smoothly. I think it would have been a disaster if I did not have them there,
I am grateful to Kristina and her staff for helping to make a beautiful and memorable wedding day. I would highly recommend this service. They were enthusiastic and truly seemed to enjoy the day along with you.

We selected Kickstand Events for a partial planning package and I can't imagine having a better wedding planning experience. We worked with Sally and always felt 10x better about the process after meeting with her. She put our minds at ease about everything from how to address our wedding invitations to how to tip our vendors. Living out of town could have made scheduling a little trickier, but Sally always made time for us on the weekends. Her happy personality and personal connections with most of our vendors made planning a breeze, and she took charge of coordinating with the caterers, linen rentals, DJ, photographer and more to ensure that everyone was on the right schedule and our rental numbers were accurate.

The day of, there was no detail out of place. Every time I saw Sally and her team they were smiling and offering their help to us and our guests, including treating us to some plates of food and a bottle of champagne in the town car to take home. She and her team made it very easy to drop off our decorations the morning of the wedding and pick them up the day after at their office downtown. We have Sally to thank for helping it go smoothly and stress-free!

Kickstand Events was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. We had on minor bump in the road but Sally handled it very professionally and took over our contract, giving us extra personal attention. We contracted them to provide day of coordination services but they went above and beyond, ensuring our rental numbers were correct and providing us with tips all along the way. The attention to detail on that team is incredible. I pride myself on my organization and planning as much as possible on my own but can say that the wedding day would not have gone smoothly without their help. I can wholeheartedly say that you are in good hands with Kickstand. Thanks Sally and Brianna for all of your help and for making our wedding day stress free! The girls at kickstand did a great job and really came through for me when my first florist was unable to do our wedding a few months before the wedding. A friend referred me to them and I am SO happy with the results. They came up with their own designs that were so much better than what I had come up with with the first florist. The reception wouldn't have been the same without the gorgeous tabletops. They were accommodating, flexible, talented and reasonably priced.

I couldn't have been more please with the work of Kickstand Events - I used them for my flowers as well as Day-Of coordination. Kate and Courtney were able to take the horribly vague description of my flower vision I gave them ("nothing too fancy; no roses or any other traditional "wedding" flowers; i hate pastel colors; i like greenery and deep purples, blues and reds") and create what several of our wedding guests described as "the most beautiful bouquets they had ever seen". Even my husband and his groomsmen commented on how much they liked the boutinierres - which is something I NEVER expected! :) When my bridesmaids and I arrived at the house where we got ready, our bouquets were already waiting for us on the fireplace mantle in the cutest blue mason jars and namecards (a wonderful addition and great for "detail" photos) - I immediately began to tear up for two main reasons: one, I had no idea what to expect the bouquets to look like and was AMAZED and two, the bouquets had been wrapped in twine, which we never discussed but which went perfectly with lace and twine candleholders I made for our reception tables. This just proved to me that Kate and Courtney are always considering what your taste and vision as a bride is. They truly want your day to be your day and they do everything in their power to make it happen. They were also very willing to work with my incredibly small budget without losing the vintage/natural theme I wanted and offered suggestions on where to save money and where to splurge. If you want a cookie-cutter wedding like everyone else's, then yeah, maybe use someone else. If you want someone who is professional, honest and dedicated to making your day unique to you and your husband, then do yourself a favor and use Kickstand Events. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

We were planning a beach wedding from Greensboro, NC and knew that we would need the services of a wedding planner to help us, particularly with the coordination of the day. Kickstand Events was our planner of choice because of their professionalism that was even evident in their first response to us. They were willing to work with the bride even though she was on an internship in Hawaii and the time difference had to be taken into consideration.
From that time on, they took charge of the vendor coordination which was a blessing since we weren't able to get to the beach as frequently as we needed; and they helped us through the flowers and reception design, making sure that nothing slipped through the cracks.
Because of Kickstand Events' management of the day - setting up the ceremony and reception, vendor management and clean-up - my family and I were able to completely enjoy the day. When one vendor called me with a question, I was able to give them Sally's phone number and never think about it again. That itself was a blessing beyond measure! We never had to think about one detail all day, everything was just done. Not to give the impression that they didn't communicate with us during the event - they let us know what was going on when we needed to know. How could anyone ask for anything more?
Thank you so much, Courtney, Katy, Sally and Hannah. The gift you gave us from the day was that when anyone asks me how the wedding went, I can say, "it was perfect!" My husband and I agree that it was money well spent, and we both thank you for giving us one of the most special days we could imagine.

We worked with Kristina Hannon and she was absolutely amazing! She was so helpful, calm, flexible and accommodating with every obstacle that came in our way. The largest obstacle was the ever so timely Hurricane Matthew, which decided to pop up on the week of our wedding. She helped us re-plan our wedding in 48 hours (that we had prepared and planned for two years), and our day was not only wonderful but also the most amazing day of our lives. In early July I realized that I needed help pulling off my daughter's outdoor September wedding during the height of hurricane season. Even at this late date, Sally was more that happy to help us plan the day and prepare back up plans should they be necessary.

I was in Durham and my daughter in school full time. We needed help finalizing vendors and pulling ideas together. The Kickstand women are full of ideas! They were very good at coming up with alternate suggestions, knew what worked and what didn't, and they have a solid knowledge of vendors in the area. At the same time they let us express our thoughts and encouraged the bride and grooms' ideas and wishes.

All in all, it was a wonderful process. During the final days there was very little we had to do, which gave us time to spend time with family and relax. We had a beautiful day and a wonderful wedding. It was the best money spent.

Courtney and her staff did an amazing job with my Bald Head Island wedding! I started planning when I was living in Atlanta, so I wasn't able to meet Courtney before booking Kickstand - I had a phone conversation with her and immediately felt better about planning my wedding from afar. From choosing vendors to transporting all my decor on the barge to setting up the the decor at the Shoals Club, Courtney did a fabulous job and was very easy to work with. She was typically quick to respond to emails and since she has strong relationships with many wedding vendors in the area, she was able to communicate well with everyone during the wedding weekend. Also, the flowers were beautiful and I was able to use their recycled glass vases and rent taper holders for the venue! Everything was perfect, and if anything went wrong, I didn't know about it:)

The girls at Kickstand events are so much fun to work with. They were flexible and always responsive. I worked with the girls long distance, adding to the challenge of planning my flowers. In the end, my bridesmaid flowers were not what I was expecting (proabably due to the long distance planning challenge) but everything was put together beautifully.

Kickstand has fun, fresh and organic ideas and you don't have to break the bank to get beautiful wedding flowers!

The Kickstand girls are awesome! I fell in love with their style, and I'm so glad we chose them to do our flowers. I don't even know the names of all the flowers they used, but they nailed it! It was so great to just send them photos of what I liked and have them match it to our budget. Our flowers were absolutely gorgeous! They are the sweetest, most down to earth, TALENTED girls. I also agree to take their advice on wedding vendors. Our officiant and DJ were both recommended by Kickstand, and we couldn't have been happier with our vendors!

Our daughter was recently married at Brick Landing in Ocean Isle Beach and we were so thrilled having Courtney as our wedding planner! Due to this being a true destination wedding with distance being a huge factor, it was a lifesaver having Courtney to help coordinate and communicate ! She was so pleasant to work with and delivered her services in a very professional way. The overall design of reception venue along with the beautifully decorated tables and the flowers were outstanding. We could not be happier!
She and her staff at Kickstand did an excellent job -- we would highly recommend them !

I was extremely disappointed after my wedding last year. I booked day-of-coordination services with Kickstand Events, and had to do most of the planning from out of state. The young woman assigned to my wedding was just out of college and had lack of experience. She was also very shy, which is not a good fit for this profession. The event was unorganized. We weren't sure when things were starting or where we should be. There was no timeline to go off of (at least for us). The table runners were laid out wrong on the tables, and the two girls were on their phones every time I looked over. For the amount of money that was spent, it was quite a letdown. Did it ruin my day? Absolutely not. I just wish there was a better flow and more assertiveness and demand from their employees. I just went to a wedding at the venue I was married at that was run by Cheryl, with Butterfly Events. It only confirmed that the services provided by Kickstand were inadequate and showed me how things should have been ran. Very unfortunate.

I do not recommend Kickstand Events for wedding flowers. They are not formally trained and it shows. They are very inexperienced, and although they are very nice, on your wedding day, you want the best. Two positives, my bouquet of orchids was exquisite and the quality of flowers from their wholesaler was excellent. However, I was disappointed in the lack of artistry, time, or labor that went into each arrangement. Flowers for the ceremony were much too small for the space, and I paid for wreaths I never received. I was dissappointed. This is hard for me to write, but I wish I had hired someone else.

I also hired Kickstand Events as wedding planners/ coordinators. I am currently waiting for a partial refund as I hired them as "Day-of" wedding coordinators and they did not "show up" until the reception. My wedding day was very stressful. I hired them over a year ago and was surprised this happened. They also planned the wedding decor and assisted with all of the linen, chair, other rentals. Although I was satisfied with the overall decor of the wedding, everything was overshadowed when they failed to manage the wedding day events. I am hopeful I receive the refund, and will let you know if I do.

I am editing my review. I used Kickstand events for our wedding flowers. I wasnt happy the day of the wedding but got over it. That is, until I received our wedding proofs online. I was mortified by the job Kickstand did at our wedding. It was AWFUL! We ordered peonies for almost everything, pricey peonies, and we got scraps of peonies. So small, unopened and you can barely see them in the photos. It is terrible! I am so embarrased that my guests had to see that nonsense. Courtney was completely unprofessional in the whole post wedding debacle, I wrote her a long email discussion my unhappiness with her work and this is what I received back:
Hi Sarah,

Thank you for your feedback and I sincerely apologize for disappointing you in your wedding flowers. Looking back, I believe we were on different pages and we delivered what we interpreted was your vision, and for that I apologize. I hope that, regardless of the wedding flowers we delivered, that you still enjoyed the day. Best of luck to you in your marriage & new life with your husband.

So apparently, according to Courtney, my vision was half done floral arrangments and flowers that looked like they were picked out of the bottom of the barrel. Kickstands contract clearly states that they will substitute flowers if they arent in good enough shape. Well they didnt. They tossed in whatever they were sent from their vendor without every contacting me.

I am SO dissapointed in Kickstand events. I am for warning any future bride to not use them for florals. They are highly untrained. Stick with an actual florist in town, who I am sure would have had a backup plan to crappy flowers.

Feel free to message me and Ill happily send over the photos of my awful wedding flowers that I paid $3,000 for. What a waste!
