Shazia did the Wedding Henna for our daughter. She is a truly gifted artist . Her work is astonishingly delicate and intricate, a wonder to behold . Her easygoing nature, sweetness and patience made her a joy to work with . Would highly recommend Shazia for your most important life events !!!! -

Just henna by Shazia is the best in the DMV
I have been following Shazia’s henna page on social media for a while and have dreamt of hiring her for when my wedding events would occur. Finally back in December of 2023 it was my turn and the only person I knew I was going to get my henna done from was Shazia. She is an amazing artist but also such positive energy . She made sure that to capture all the details that I wanted and made it look flawless. She also took care of my family’s henna. Forever grateful to her for the art she created. Hands down the best in the DMV area. Thank you Shazia! -

Simply Lovely and Amazing. Created a Wonderful Ambiance
Shazia and her teammate Kat came well equipped. They had their chairs and tables ready. We had discussed the designs/timing beforehand and went straight to business. Along the way we shared laughter, good times, and top tier professionalism. Shazia’s attention to detail and speed were unmatched compared to any henna artist I’ve hired. I had a lovely experience from start to finish and highly recommend Shazia! -

Shazia's love for her work is truly inspiring. I couldn't have been happier to have her as my henna artist on my special day. Her designs were absolutely stunning, filled with intricate details that captivated everyone's attention. Numerous guests approached me, inquiring about the talented artist behind my beautiful Mehendi. Shazia's passion and unwavering dedication to her craft are truly commendable.
What impressed me even more was the longevity of her henna. Even after four weeks since its application, I still have traces of the exquisite design on my feet and palms. This is a testament to Shazia's choice of using natural henna, which not only looks incredible but also demonstrates her genuine care and consideration for her clients, especially brides like me.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Shazia's work was how quickly the henna darkened. Within a mere 12 hours, the color had already deepened significantly, creating a striking visual impact. This further showcases her expertise and skill in achieving remarkable results.

Full of laughter and fun
Shazia truly comes in professionally and friendly! She was so warm and welcoming and really listened to me in what my vision was for my henna as well as my wedding. She made me laugh so much and made sure I was comfortable despite my need to move and scratch so often. Her patience with me brought me to tears as did the jokes she shared. By the end of the night she felt like family and I would come to her over and over again! Her rates are reasonable and her support is priceless! -

Best PreWedding Event
Shazia is an incredibly talented, kind, generous, and trustworthy woman! From the beginning of my wedding planning journey I knew that I wanted none other than this wonderful woman & I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. She was communicative, on time & extremely gifted in her craft. Throughout my henna experience she guided me, made sure I was comfortable, helped me talk through so many other trivial things that were on my mind & all the while she continued to progress in the intricacies of her delicate henna work! I couldn’t have been more delighted to find such a warm soul when picking a wedding vendor. She has been hands down one of the most memorable people I’ve met during my wedding journey. Shazia made sure I understood post henna care & even FaceTimed me the following day to ensure my henna removal went smoothly. I am extremely happy and honored to have had Shazia do my bridal henna. Her attention to detail, work ethic, thoughtfulness in checking in with me to ensure I was liking the outcome, and guidance made me realize that there is none other like her in the industry! I absolutely love this woman from the bottom of my heart & am overjoyed to know that she picked me as well! She helped my family and I create memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. -

Shazia was such a sweetheart. From the moment I started discussing my henna ideas for the wedding with her, she was so excited and coming up with even better idea. As you guys probably know, bridal henna takes such a long time and lot of patience. Shazia was absolutely the best, the 9+ hours I spent with her, were sooo fun and enjoyable. My whole family enjoyed her presence. Most importantly the henna turned out so so beautiful!! The designs were so intricate and neat, I really wish I could have had that on my hand forever. I would definitely hire Shazia again for any other event I would have and recommend her to everyone that i know!! :) -

Absolutely Amazing!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shazia - she is not only an amazing mendhi artist but an absolutely amazing person!! I honestly created a WeddingWire account solely to leave a review for her. My mendhi session was 7 hours - we started at 11:00 am and ended around 6:00 pm for my hands and feet and then she worked with my mother-in-law for about another hour to do her hands. For as long as we were together, the time flew by - she was so easy to talk to and such a pleasure to make conversation with. Not only did she have great instructions for me on how to care for my mendhi to ensure a good stain, but she had great insights into last minute wedding details my husband and I were trying to finalize.
I did not prep for the session ahead of time so did not bring designs or styles that I was interested in having done, so I ended up leaving it completely up to her on the mendhi design for my hands/arms and feet. Throughout the session, she would check-in to make sure that I liked the design and each and every time, it far exceeded my expectations. There was so much detail included and both sides of my feet and hands were perfectly symmetrical, it was amazing. The mendhi she uses is homemade and natural, and the stain that it leaves is very dark. I think the biggest benefit to how she makes her mendhi is that it does not have a very strong smell, as most other mendhi mixes do. She also uses this wonderful spray to set the mendhi that includes a wonderful rose scent. She is a veteran in the industry and her name and work absolutely lives up to the hype - book her immediately!! -

Shazia was amazing -- cannot recommend enough! She came to my now in-laws house 2 days before our western wedding and 3 days before our Indian wedding to do the bridal henna for me. I did not know what to expect from that experience but was very pleasantly surprised. It was a relaxing and fun day amongst the wedding planning chaos! I thoroughly enjoyed her company and it was amazing to watch her work.
Importantly, the henna came out absolutely stunning. I received so many compliments throughout the wedding and beyond. Her work is incredible. She incorporated mountains (since we lived in Colorado), palm tree/beach scene (for where we got engaged in Hawaii), and peacocks similar to our wedding invitation design. She also added our dog's face to the middle of one of the mandalas on my foot which was so fun to have! Otherwise she listened to my preferences to not make anything too dark or filled in but completed it all with incredible design. It was truly a work of art. -

Shazia did my wedding henna and I am beyond delighted with the results. From start to finish, Shazia exuded a perfect blend of professionalism and warmth that made the entire process enjoyable. She was very easy to talk to. It took 10 hours to complete my henna session but it didn't felt that long chatting with her.
One of the standout features of Shazia's service is her commitment to quality. She crafts her own henna, and the rich, natural color speaks volumes about the care she puts into her craft. The fact that she brings all the necessary equipment, including comfortable chairs, showcases her dedication to providing a seamless and convenient experience for her clients.
