Marleny was recommended to me by my wedding coordinator, and I’m so glad I found her! She worked with me to do a trial on a limited timeframe, because I live across the country. She also helped me choose from a lot of different looks, guiding me through what was flattering for my dress/ face. For my wedding day, she helped put in my extensions and I absolutely loved the finished look. It was what I requested (a half bouffant and not very curly).

When picturing my wedding day look, I knew that I wanted to have a classic, simple look that was not over-the-top glam. Michelle took my vision and she made me feel so incredibly beautiful, especially on the day of my wedding. Michelle was my makeup artist, and she was a true professional! Kind, accommodating, efficient, and listens well. I went into my bridal trial thinking I knew what I wanted. Afterwards, I ended up changing some key things that really altered the way I looked on the big day. I was a little nervous that I wouldn't love the new look because I had never seen it before, but I had total confidence in Michelle. She knocked it out of the park! I looked exactly how I wanted to look, and it made me feel so confident. Michelle is so calm and collected, but still hyped me up! On the administrative side, the team at JSL was responsive, organized, and on top of things. I loved working with them!

I looked like the best version of me
I did my hair and makeup trial in February of 2022 and got married March 11th 2023. The total was perfect and Fran, my hair and make up artist captured my vision perfectly. My wedding day was also perfect. She did my mother in law and two flower girls hair as well as my hair and make up. All three of those girls looked beautiful! I had asked for a change in my eyes shadow color and Fran had no issue changing things up. I looked like the best version of myself, very natural and beautiful. I couldn’t stop looking at myself in the mirror. Fran and the JSL team answered all of my emails, we’re incredibly flexible with the timeframe and we’re such a joy to work with. They helped make our wedding day just that more special.

I had a fantastic experience with JSL for my wedding hair/makeup. All the communication leading to the wedding day was so easy and smooth. On my wedding day, the artist Marleny showed up right on time, and she made the process of getting ready so fun and relaxing. JSL Visions was professional, responsive and detail oriented - they wanted to make sure all of us were in love with our looks on the day. Shawna is incredible! She has such a relaxing presence and keeps working at your look until you feel like your most beautiful self. For me, this meant working to make my makeup as minimal/natural as possible while still being photo ready. Shawna also perfectly replicated the natural look that I wanted with my hair, and it stayed put through hours of dancing! Shawna helped my sisters on the day of through a few different looks, and made everyone feel comfortable saying if they wanted to change what they had to feel their best. JSL Visions were one of my favorite vendors for my wedding. Judy did a hair trial a couple months before my wedding and listened to what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions. On the day of the wedding Judy and Gabby showed up at my house and immediately got to work doing hair for 6 women and 2 girls. Every person got something different with their hair and they handled it all extremely well and efficiently. They were actually ahead of schedule which was great for peace of mind. They were also very patient and kind with the two children who were in the group. Overall I would absolutely recommend JSL Visions to any of my friends for their weddings.

I highly recommend JSL Visions. They were professional and responsive from the start and always responded to my emails very promptly. I priced out several options in DC, and their prices were also very fair for the area. The trial went smoothly and I appreciated that I was not at all rushed and Shawna took the time to get my feedback and make several modifications as we went along. Most importantly, everything went perfectly the day of my wedding. Shawna arrived early, she executed hair and makeup exactly as we agreed upon at the trial, and both my hair and makeup held up great for the full day.

Michelle is always who I turn to for makeup and hair for all of my formal and special events. I trust her judgment and know that she knows what she’s doing. I usually just tell her the colors I want for my makeup and she never fails to impress! She always knows how to highlight my features and which shades to use! The makeup never feels like too much and my hair always looks just like the pictures. She’s always friendly, gentle, and makes me feel very comfortable. I’ll always recommend her to everyone I know!

JSL Visions Was Fantastic!
I found JSL Visions using Wedding Wire. They are DC based, but they were willing to travel an hour away to Leesburg, VA. I had Judy come to do my engagement pictures and she made me feel fabulous! I did my trial about 6 months before my wedding and Judy really listened to what I wanted and brought my vision to life. On my wedding day, Judy and her team showed up right on the time and were so kind to me and all of my bridesmaids. Judy provided me in advance an eye mask, lip mask, and lipstick! I changed some of my hair style choices the day of and she was super flexible. My bridesmaids and I loved their positive energy. I loved my hair and makeup on my wedding day! I would definitely recommend JSL visions for all your wedding hair/make-up needs!

Whenever I have a special event, my go to girl for makeup and hair is Michelle! She first did my hair and makeup for a very special occasion which was my daughter’s wedding. I have trusted her completely since because she knows exactly the right amount of makeup to use for every occasion without making me look “over the top”. Best experience ever! I was so nervous as this was one of the most important moments in our lives. Judy gave me all the assurance that I needed and followed through with amazing service. Having her there to oversee everything and make sure that all the elements and personal touches were in place and all the vendors were on point made our day so relaxing. JSL visions - would highly recommend!
Gabby did my hair and makeup for my wedding and it turned out perfectly! I felt so beautiful and confident. She was super receptive to any feedback and made sure to make me still look myself but just enhance my features. She and her partner, Fatima, also did hair/makeup for several bridesmaids and they all looked amazing. They were both fun to be around, timely, and overall was a good experience. Everything lasted all night and I didn’t really have to retouch anything. Would highly recommend!

JSL is terrific! Gabby was very quick to respond to my email inquiry, and she and her team worked with me via email to confirm bridal hair and makeup. Gabby planned an entire hair/makeup schedule for my wedding party, mom, and mother-in-law; I had a morning wedding, so careful planning was a must! Gabby and her team arrived promptly on time, they were extremely accommodating and sweet, and they made sure that everyone was happy with her hair and makeup. The team at JSL are fantastic! Judy, and her H&MU team were professional, fast, sweet, fun, and really great at handling our whole group. Everyone was happy with the results. Part of the reason I chose the JSL team was that I could see (as reflected in their pictures) that they had experience working with different skin tones and hair types/textures. So many of the pictures I saw of other H&MU teams didn't reflect a range of different brides/bridesmaids. I'm so grateful for this group and the services they provided on my wedding day. Book this team, you won't be disappointed!

An incredible experience!
I found JSLVisions from Google searching hairstylists in the DMV area for weddings only a TWO weeks before my wedding. Gabby was incredible! Super quick to respond and helpful in terms of guiding me with the inquiry process and getting set up with a trial appointment within 2 days!! Everything you will need to provide and think about is addressed in the very first contact which helped me so much!
At the appointment, Gabby was super welcoming and warm, I felt comfortable there and expressing my needs/concerns and vision. Gabby was very adamant about me LOVING my hairdo which was amazing, taking all my suggestions into consideration and making sure it was perfect for my special day! She also accommodated my mother's hairdo for the day of very last last minute and I really appreciated the flexibility and completely eliminating any stress I could have regarding this.
The day of the wedding Gabby was extremely professional and fun. This made my day much more stress free and enjoyable, as any bride knows the tensions are high the morning of. Getting ready was enjoyable, relaxing and I had ZERO concerns, especially after the trial run. Gabby even helped me get my veil on, giving me tips and teaching my maid of honor how to remove the veil if needed.
Overall my experience was INCREDIBLE from beginning to end! I hope to have another special occasion soon since I already have someone to go to for it!!

Judy and her crew are super sweet and super talented! My bridesmaids and I had so much fun hanging out with them before my wedding. My hair and makeup stayed put for the whole 6+ hours and photographed beautifully. I’d love to have an excuse to hire Judy again. I couldn't be more grateful that I found Judy for my wedding hair and makeup. She was kind, professional, and flexible. She made me feel beautiful inside and out. She really made me feel like the makeup enhanced my natural features rather than caking my face in products. She helped me try out several different hairstyles at the trial to make sure I picked one that worked best for me. On the day of, she handled all the emotions in the room with grace and care. The makeup and hair held all night - through many tears a lot of dancing. I could not recommend Judy enough. She is absolutely amazing, talented, and wonderful.

I NEVER style my hair or wear makeup, unless its a special occasion, and when i get my hair done, the style usually won't last longer then an hour or 2. Makeup usually felt caked on, so i was understandably nervous going in for my trial.
As soon as i arrived, i was greeted by my stylist, and she took the time to get to know me personally before getting started on my trial.
The hairstyle lasted about 7 hours, both after my trial and on the big day, my husband thought it looked beautiful, and it left him speechless for a minute

Such a great experience!
Going into my trial, I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted my makeup but only knew I wanted my hair "up" because of my dress. Judy was super helpful with her suggestions and was really receptive to my preferences (changing the blush color, darker eyebrows, etc.). Absolutely LOVED that I didn't need to trek out to the suburbs to do a trial, and I found prices to be very reasonable.
Day-of, Shawna, Gabby, and Judy arrived on time and ran things so smoothly - truly a blessing to not have to worry about timing among everything else! Everything lasted through the day, even through outdoor pictures in an ice storm!!
Highly recommend JSL Visions for making me and my bridal party feel beautiful and pampered.

I found JSL Vision after we decided to convert our online civil ceremony into a broadcasted wedding ceremony with my wedding gown and a hair/make-up. The decision was made 2 weeks before the wedding date and I was on a last minute hunting for everything. I had no idea about any vendors in DC area - my wedding was supposed to be in Italy if it were not COVID. My wedding date was 7/2 and I had a trial scheduled with Gabby on 6/30 that I didn't make on time due to an overrun at the dress alteration. JSL was fully booked on 7/1. Devastated and desperate, I asked if I could just get a make up on 7/2. Judy called me that afternoon. I shared my dress, the hair style, the bouquet, the ceremony location as well as a sample make-up style I wanted, and she decided to take me in for 6:15am appointment on 7/2. It was such a great risk (I have had two terrible make-up trials before and it can really go wrong) but I somehow felt comfortable after talking to her. She understood exactly what I was looking for and did a great job. She also calmed my nerve down on the day and had a great balance between accommodating my preference and making suggestions to make a great photo/video. Overall, my assessment is i) the communication was professional/prompt/responsive, ii) the team was flexible and tried their best to come up with solutions, iii) Judy was a personable and fantastic make-up artist. I would love to go back to her in future for any photoshoot or any formal occasion to get more make-up sessions.

Anniversary wedding photos
I love gabby so much love talking to her always friendly and always flexible and she made my hair beautiful for my amazing photo for my anniversary. And also does my hair once a year too can always trust her to do a great job and I don’t trust a lot of people with my hair then my girl gabby. Ever reasonable. I recommend people to use them!

I was blessed to have Gabby D’onofrio do my hair and makeup for a wedding I was attending. Usually I wouldn’t book a stylist but this was an upscale wedding and I wanted to look the part. Not only was Gabby professional, her ability to make me feel like I just had a million dollar makeover was astounding. Her personality was refreshing, and her appearance was clean and fresh. I was complimented all day on my hair and makeup, as it lasted all day long. Even in the photos taken of me you can see what a professional job she did. I highly recommend her for any and all of your wedding needs. She will definitely be the first call I make when I have another event to attend.

Being a former hairdresser myself I tend to be very critical, with gabby I tell her what I want and the end results are always met with satisfaction. The wonderful people that work for this company are very professional. The wedding party had their make up and hair done beautifully. Thank you Judy for making me feel like a princess on my wedding day despite it not being plan A due to COVID.
My makeup/hair was indestructible and felt very nice on. Judy was awesome as I facetimed with friends and family while I was getting ready. She did an amazing job. All of my friends / family could not stop commenting on how nice my makeup / hair came out.

Great hair and makeup!
JSL was great - Judy Lopez did makeup and hair for all the women in the wedding. She was able to match everyone's style and comfort level, and we all looked great. She was competitive on price, and well-located in DC. I'd highly recommend her work!
