    Amazing! Joyfully joined was fabulous!

    We found Mary, with Joyfully Joined events, from the recommended vendor list from our venue. From the first call we had, she was friendly, warm and joyful! We were a 2020 wedding that had to delay until 2021, and Mary helped keep us sane during this crazy time, providing us with insight during uncertain times, and listening as I cried not sure what to do, before making the decision to postpone.

    Once we knew things were a go for 2021, Mary was on it! She provided us with great check-lists of things to do on our end and what she was handling. Many of our vendors were already booked before we engaged with Mary and I LOVED their response when we said we'd booked Joyfully Joined "Oh Mary! She's awesome, your event is going to run like clockwork." On the flip side, I loved Mary's reaction when she heard who we booked for our catering and DJ and how excited she was to work with them. It was reassuring to see how connected the Central Coast wedding vendors were - familiar with each other, having worked previous events together, and that they all seemed to really like each other.

    Mary was great getting our group together to focus during the rehearsal and laughing at some of our silly requests. Day of, if there was a crisis, issue or question, Mary was on it. She allowed us to be present and enjoy the moment, without worrying about the little things. We appreciated that Mary made sure we took a few minutes just the two of us after our ceremony to take it all in before going out to celebrate with friends and family.

    She made sure that we had time to eat and enjoy the delicious meal, and had some leftovers boxed up for later that night.
    Friendly, warm and on top of things, Mary made our day so much easier and truly didn't miss a beat.

    Having Mary, and Joyfully Joined, be part of our special day, is something we'll look back on fondly for years. She is a gem and all couples would be lucky to have someone like her coordinate their wedding. Thank you Mary!!

    Outstanding

    How does anyone get married without Mary?! She was absolutely crucial. We hired her for coordination and it was the best decision. She handled everything with grace, professionalism, and a meticulous eye. Her knowledge of weddings and the SLO area are a huge asset and made us consider things we would have overlooked. If you are looking for a planner, look no further!!

    We hired Mary to coordinate the day of our wedding. Mary was amazing!! She had so much energy and she was excited to assist me in any way she could. Mary and her assistant were both running around early in the morning setting up decor and meeting with vendors. She checked in on me throughout the day making sure we had everything we needed. She kept everything on time and organized without hovering or stressing out guests. She even checked in on my parents and made sure they were able to see all of the special moments of the day. I would highly recommend Mary for all of your wedding needs!!

    Mary was the day-of coordinator for our Avila Beach wedding this past May. She did an absolutely amazing job. Not only is she warm and friendly, she is the consummate professional and very skilled at what she does. I felt total confidence in her, which relieved an immense amount of pressure on the wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, she was very responsive to any questions we had and was always happy to provide suggestions. The day of the wedding, she was very focused on making sure my husband and I were comfortable and having an amazing time. She even thought to bring drinks out to us while we were taking post-ceremony photos, and made sure to check in with us throughout the reception as well. Everything turned out so beautiful thanks to Mary.

    Mary is the bees knees! She is so fun loving and energetic. She is as excited for your day as you are! She is organized, detail oriented and does everything she can to make sure that your special day is everything you dreamed it would be. She takes the time to understand your vision for the day and executes it flawlessly. She makes you feel comfortable and at ease knowing that she has everything taken care of. She makes it so you are able to relax and enjoy your day as you watch all of your planning unfold perfectly. Thank you for everything Mary. You are the BEST!

    Mary is wonderful!! I cannot stress enough how much of a "joy", pun intended, it was to work with her.

    I really thought my Type-A personality could get away without having a wedding coordinator until I realized it was worth having someone in town that knew the area and the business to ensure our day went off without a hitch.

    I had a dozen phone interviews and I instantly felt a connection to Mary - she embodies warmth and trust.

    Our wedding was almost three years ago and whenever a guest brings up our wedding, they bring up Mary and how wonderful she was with all of our friends and family.

    Look no further than Mary. She is grace under fire and without her our wedding would not have been what it was which was nothing short of a magical day :) Thank you, Mary! You're the best!!!

    Mary of Joyfully Joined was amazing!! We interviewed many other planners in our area and, from the moment we first spoke w/Mary, we knew we found our perfect planner!! The highest compliment is that no matter how many brides/weddings she had on-going, we always felt like we were the only one! She always made us feel like she was a family member right in there, planning, discussing, doing. We love her!

    I don't know what I would have done without Mary. She went above and beyond her role by taking ownership of the wedding setup and adding extra surprises! She has a lot of spirit and energy that you sense immediately. She met with me beforehand to do a wedding run down at the venue, facilitated our rehearsal, and stayed until the wedding was over. And she stays calm even when we're missing important things because I (the bride) lost them in the cellar and forgot I put them there :)

    I cannot say enough about how amazing Mary is. From start to finish, I could not have asked for more in a wedding planner and day-of coordinator.

    Leading up to the wedding, Mary always checked in with me when she hadn't heard from me in a while. If I asked her questions, she'd go above and beyond by reaching out to vendors and finding the answers for me. We met at the venue a couple times before the wedding... and she was always on time and ready to take down notes. She had great suggestions and brought up a ton of things to make sure the wedding went down flawlessly.

    She ran our rehearsal like a pro. In addition to our wedding party, we had our entire extended family there for the rehearsal. She kept everyone focused and on-track. We were all prepared for the big day... even my little flower girl and ring bearer!

    Our wedding couldn't have gone down any better. I gave Mary a very general idea of what I wanted - and she took it to the next level. Not only was everything I wanted set up perfectly... she took a ton of random "extras" I brought and made the reception area better than I could have ever imagined. She added extra tea-lights, burlap and ribbon in placed I wouldn't have even thought to put them. Everything really looked like it came right out of a magazine. It was perfect.

    Also - she kept everyone on time the entire wedding. She was the coordinator for everything. When I wanted to switch up where we were doing speeches (10 minutes before speeches were supposed to happen)... she coordinated with the DJ and made sure everyone was on the same page.

    I could go on and on about Mary. Honestly - one of the best decisions we made was hiring Mary. Money very well spent... we couldn't have done it without her.

    I have always respected Type A personality for their strength in detail planning and organization but I have not ever met one that is so enjoyable and light to be around. Mary smiles often and her energy is very uplifting, and that is the kind of energy I want to be around to balance a stressful journey. Mary lived up to our expectation that we primary hire a Day-of-Coordinator to stress out on our behalf for the “Day-Of” and all we needed to do were to show up on time and enjoy the event unfold.

    Mary also created a safe place for me to vent since I was very careful to not stress out the people in my life. She is flexible and responded very well when we missed the planned rehearsal practice. I gave her general high-level instructions and she carried it out, improvising any gaps in my communication based on her experience of wedding planning. She went above her duty and carried out my vision for the Welcome table based on an image I shared with all of the vendors. I gave her a blank board not knowing what to do with it but thought it may be of use somehow. She and her son put together a picture collage of our families from extra photos found in the trunk and added “Mr”, “Mrs” and “Thank You” that made the Welcome table looked more inviting.

    Also, I’m very clueless when it comes to wedding and I really like her suggestions on having two of our mothers walking down the aisle together. It was something I have not seen at wedding before and that made it really special to observe. Additionally, she suggested to have the DJ announce when I changed out into my second wedding dress and that was really special because it gave me the moment of a second “First Look”. I remembered my husband and everyone stop eating and just eyes on me as I entered. I remembered the way David was looking at and how he greeted me with a hug and a kiss all over again.

    First of all ....AMAZING!!

    If I didn't have Mary (Joyfully Joined), my wedding would have been in shambles. She reminds you of all these little things that you would have completely forgotten. Besides the reminders, Mary is so caring, kind, and very easy to work with. Shes on top of everything and has your back through your entire wedding, and helps you understand how vendors work. Planning a wedding gets hectic and stressful, and if it wasn't for her I probably would have at least had a few meltdowns. For my rehearsal she wrangled my gigantic family and rambunctious group of friends, and was able to get through with smooth sailing. EVERYONE noticed how great she was, and kept telling me that she was on top of everything.
    We ran into a few snags with vendors trying to take advantage of me not knowing how wedding planning goes and she stepped in stopped this from happening. I was so grateful to have her there and warn me ahead of time.

    Bottom line....Mary knows what she's doing and I'd highly recommend her to everyone who's newly engaged or planning a wedding at the moment.

    Mary was amazing. We hired her fairly last minute, and got lucky because she had reserved the day for us already at the request of our caterer! If we hadn't lucked out, she would not have been available, and I'm certain our wedding would not have been as incredibly smooth as it was!

    Mary was our day-of-coordinator, but she did extra work and helped us before the day with finding kid-sitters to watch the kids during the wedding and a dog-sitter for our and my mom's dogs. Both people to whom she referred us were top-quality and we felt in very good hands.

    Our day went remarkably smoothly. Our wedding was very D.I.Y., and yet it looked so incredibly professional because Mary was there to help coordinate everything, and she was very attentive to detail and very good at keeping everyone focused and on-task.

    She also brought a number of decorative items with her to help us flesh out those things that we hadn't fully thought out, including a rustic ladder that fit perfectly in our decor and made a great presentation method for our escort cards, and adorable little wooden signs telling people where key things were situated like the photobooth and kids table.

    She is also such a delight to be around. While she takes control and can be loud when needed, she also exudes a calming, pleasant demeanor that says "I got this - relax, breathe, enjoy." I can only imagine that her family and friends have a blast spending time with her ;)

    One last bit of praise: all of my friends who married before us gave me the same advice over and over again - "make sure you eat." I now understand why they said this, as it is hard to take the time to eat on the day! Mary, however, made sure we ate. She told us when to sit our butts down at our table, and made sure the food was in front of us and we ate some of it before doing anything else. Mary clearly cares about her bride and grooms as much as a smooth day, and, for that, we are grateful.

    Mary is the absolute best. I asked that she be the day of coordinator 3 weeks prior to my wedding and she immediately set up meetings and asked questions paying attention to all detail. She ensured the day was fantastic and everything we wanted. She even added the details I was missing including "bride" & "groom" chair signs. When emergencies came up--"where's the ice?", she solved them on the dime. I am confident you can not find better than Mary, she is the best.

    Mary was absolutely amazing at organizing and setting out our layout for our outdoor reception venue at the Jack House and Gardens in San Luis Obispo! Her warm and professional demeanor gave me confidence in her as my wedding planner as I knew she would make our wedding day run smoothly! She did an amazing job of carrying out my vision for our perfect garden wedding and everything was arranged as I wanted it! She did a wonderful job of organizing and leading our other vendors so they were all perfectly working together! Throughout the night she never stopped moving and she was in constant communication with our dj (DJ Bob from Phase 1 Entertainment) and our caterer (Mama's Meatballs) to make sure everyone knew what was happening next!

    I would highly recommend Mary to anyone getting married in the Central Coast! I could not have imagined our wedding day without her and she was truly a blessing in making our wedding day perfect!!

    Thank you Mary for adding so much to our wedding day!

    Mary at Joyfully Joined ensured the best day of our now-joined life. During our wedding and reception, all I saw were happy faces, beautiful decorations, amazing food and fantastic drinks. I found out later that right before dinner service, a fuse blew in the kitchen, but all I heard from Mary throughout the evening was, "Everything is great. We have everything under control. Have fun. Enjoy your day." (all with a smile on her face) She took care of everything from what could have potentially been a disaster to the smallest details that truly made our wedding day as special as it was. From our first meeting to the big day, Joyfully Joined put us at ease with their professionalism, friendly nature and ability to make each daunting task seem simple. I don't know what we would have done without Mary and Joyfully Joined.

    Mary helped us with a million little things the day of our wedding and she was truly a lifesaver! She made sure to pour our champagne for toasts and even assembled a special food plate for us - super thoughtful. She was on board as a general helper for the day and she just knew instinctively what needed to be done and when. Everyone kept saying how much of a help she was and how they truly appreciated it. We were so glad to have had her as a part of our special day.

    October 6, 2012 - The most stunning wedding ever - for my daughter Emily and her now husband, Jason! And Mary Allegretta-Butler was there from the beginning to make sure it was everything they wanted and more. She walked us through so many decisions and offered insight that demonstrated her experience and eye for detail. Her laugh is contagious, and we enjoyed her so much that we consider her a friend now. But that does not take away from her professionalism. The bride and groom are from Los Angeles and had a particular style they wanted - traditional, initimate, fun, personal, great food and presentation, and lots of candles! HammerSky Vineyards, Paso Robles was a knock-out location. But it was Mary who pulled it all together. We will never be able to thank her enough for a wonderful gathering and beautiful memories!
