    The Best Wedding Planner/Coordinator

    We couldn't have asked for a better 2-month wedding coordinator than Justina. Before she stepped in, we were managing everything ourselves, but as soon as she took over, we felt an immediate sense of relief. She is incredibly well-prepared and utilizes excellent templates that kept all of our information organized and accessible. Her attention to detail was a total lifesaver.

    Justina is a consummate professional and an excellent communicator. She managed our vendors with such precision that our reception felt incredibly smooth and exciting. Toward the end of the planning process, we felt a bit discouraged when it seemed like some vendors lost interest once they were paid. However, we truly felt that Justina actually cared for us and our wedding personally. Knowing she was doing her absolute best for us was so heartwarming and allowed us to actually focus on the joy of the day rather than the logistics. She was the perfect pillar between us and our vendors.

    What we loved most was that she didn't just manage what we already had; she encouraged us to add fun, personal details to the reception. I was initially worried about being overwhelmed, but Justina empowered us to add a wedding trivia game and a snack table—both of which were huge hits. As a major bonus, she provided several wedding-related items for us to use that we otherwise would have had to buy for one-time use, and her Minted discount was a total win!

    Our wedding had some logistical challenges, including a ceremony venue located 30 minutes away and a sharp 11:00 PM transition to an afterparty. Justina handled every moving part flawlessly so that we could stay in the moment. She even made sure we were fed by bringing us snacks and kindly asking guests to give us space at the sweetheart table so we could actually eat.

    Justina truly went above and beyond. Thanks to her, we and our guests had an absolute blast. It was an unforgettable, stress-free day, and we cannot recommend her highly enough!

    The peace of mind every couple needs

    Justina is a wonderful person to work with, and we cannot recommend her enough. She is warm, attentive, and highly adaptable. By far, the most stressful part of our wedding planning was the lack of communication from our DJ and my makeup artist, Chau. Both became completely unresponsive and "off the grid" at critical points, which caused us a significant amount of anxiety. Justina stepped in and took full control when we felt stuck. She was the only one able to get through to them, using her tenacity and professional grit to track them down and secure their commitment. Having her bridge that gap was the only reason those situations didn’t boil over into a disaster; she truly saved the day and gave us our sanity back.
    Beyond managing difficult vendors, our venue was a non-conventional wedding spot and a challenge to work with, but Justina handled everything perfectly. She acted as our main point of contact and took the stress of the venue’s requirements off our plates. She went above and beyond, even letting us borrow items from her own inventory, such as easel stands and tables. She is so attentive that she even caught me right before I could spill tea on my dress.
    The lead-up to the wedding was incredibly smooth thanks to Justina's structured approach. She facilitated monthly check-ins starting two months out to guide us through music and photobooth details, then meticulously finalized our timeline one month prior. On the wedding day, she was the calm, confident presence I needed. She kept everything running on time so we could focus on each other instead of the logistics. Justina is a genuinely good person who cares about her couples, and she has our highest possible recommendation.

    Justina and the JL Team are Incredible!

    The value for the money we paid was great, Justina and her team were very attentive through the whole planning process and on top of things during the day of our wedding.

    My wife and I did not have to stress about anything because we knew they would be on top of it, like when we had a little situation with a missing shuttle driver, her team handled it quickly and solved the issue.

    If you're looking for someone to pay attention to the details and bringing her expertise and best practices to make your special day that much more special, look no further!

    A Dream Team That Made Our Day Stress-Free

    Justina was a necessity during our wedding planning. She came in with such a thorough checklist—covering details we hadn’t even thought of—and guided us with her knowledge and attentiveness. From the start, she was transparent that her team would be there on the actual day, and we felt completely confident leaving everything in their hands. Even though we met them for the first time at the wedding, they were seamless extensions of Justina—professional, prepared, and on top of every detail. JL Event was worth every cent, and we truly couldn’t have done it without them.

    10/10 would recommend!

    I’m not even sure I can come up with the right combination of words to describe how incredible this team was! Firstly, this team is based in the Bay Area but is open to traveling anywhere to offer their services. I brought them up to Sacramento and no regrets there. Disclaimer: I have been weaved into the wedding industry through photography for over a decade so I felt like I’ve had my fair share of working with coordinators and THIS is exactly what you would dream for in a wedding planning service.

    The level of organization is top tier. I thought I was a pretty well versed spreadsheet girly but she had helped me become even more detailed and organized!

    I ended up only hiring Justina and her team for day of coordination for the wedding day because by the time I had messaged her, we had done a lot of the leg work in terms of the actual planning side. However, I felt like she did go above and beyond in terms of helping me plan for the actual wedding. She helped narrow down my many bright ideas. She asked all the right questions to get me on track and tie everything seamlessly together. And she helped me set deadlines which really worked out if you need that little push sometimes. Wedding planning felt less stressful than I had anticipated because of her guidance throughout the process.

    On the actual day of the wedding, I felt so comfortable just letting loose and enjoy being an actual bride. I handed all control over to this team and they slid in so effortlessly to deliver such a memorable experience. My guests all had such a great time as well. Overall, my husband and I felt so taken care of and we would do this process all over again. Only because it was so fun and we really got to enjoy ourselves. So yes, definitely a 10/10 would recommend 💕

    The Amazing Justina

    My husband and I just had our wedding last week on 12/15/24! Justina was our wedding coordinator and she was truly amazing. She is not only detail oriented, responsive, organized, and professional, but she is also thoughtful and personable. She even helped save us money on not going into over-time with our wedding venue! She also saved our wedding timeline (we initially had an early start time for our ceremony because we thought sunset photos were always taken afterwards, but she helped us move things around and coordinated with our photographer to really make our timeline better and more efiicient)! Leading up to our wedding day, she was on multiple video calls with us to make sure we were on track and had everything we needed. She was so good at anticipating our needs and helping us execute every little detail that we wanted for our wedding day. I also knew Justina was good because she helped plan my best friend's wedding, who was my matron of honor at my wedding! A full circle moment haha.
    Justina was so professional, but working with her also felt like planning my wedding with a friend. She is so kind and sweet and I will truly miss working with her. She even helped to keep me warm when I was standing outside in cold December night weather.
    We really couldn't have done it without Justina and we are SO glad we picked her to be our wedding coordinator. We couldn't have asked for a better person to help us plan the best day of our lives!

    Smoothest Wedding Planning

    Working with Justina on planning our wedding was the best decision we made. We went and used her full planning service and it was SO worth the price. My husband and I had already found a venue prior to hiring Justina. After we found the venue, we were completely at a loss with where to start with the planning as it was overwhelming. But Justina removed this burden completely and she was so patient with us. One trait of Justina that we greatly appreciate is her transparency. Before we signed a contract with her, she was straightforward with us about her giving birth in the middle of the wedding planning process. Despite having to give labor in the middle of planning, Justina's continued to impress us with her clear communication on timelines and expectations. She only stepped away from about 2 weeks after labor and resumed with us; just WOW, we wanted to tell her that she should rest more. During the planing process, Justina handles all of the timelines, organization, and paperwork; which saved my husband and I so much time! Justina was especially a godsend for me, as I was working full-time and wrapping up my master's degree in the same year. We loved how she is prepared with templates for us to follow and takes notes of our every meeting. She is also extremely efficient and was conscious of our budget, and tries her best to help us stay within the budget range we specified. Justina has a lot of connections, so her recommendations were helpful and often helped us save time on researching more vendors. Furthermore, Justina is always willing to come out to meet in person when necessary, and she enjoys choosing fabrics and equipment for the wedding with you -- which we thought was so nice. One thing we also noticed is that all the vendors we worked with also had endless praises for Justina.

    When it came to actual wedding day, we were surprised by how smooth our wedding event ran. We were prepared to yolo things if things got out of handle, since we have heard a lot of stories from friends about how some of their weddings did not go as planned. Our wedding was a more complicated one as we crammed a lot of events during reception. As the bride, I had one outfit change, we had 7 toast speeches from family/friends, we played the shoe game, and had 3 musical performances prior to opening up the dance floor. Honestly, we did not expect to be able to go through with everything, but Justina made sure we were good on time and we were able to do everything we planned!

    We were so happy with our wedding and it was everything we expected. Thanks to Justina, we did not feel nearly as stressed out as we initially thought. Due to Justina's immense experience and professionalism, a daunting planning turned into a piece of cake. I would HIGHLY recommend Justina to everyone to plan their events. She is absolutely amazing and we felt so inspired by her work ethic and reliability. Once again, thank you so much for making our dream wedding come true Justina!

    Our day of coordinator

    Our wedding day coordinator, Justina, was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting, she instilled a calm and confident professional who knew exactly what she was doing. This allowed us to be stressed-free and fully able to enjoy every moment without a single worry.     Wedding Planning Stress? Not with Justina!

    We first saw Justina in action at our close friends' wedding and were blown away by how smoothly everything ran. They raved about her, so we reached out about 9 months before our own wedding. From our very first call, Justina was incredibly thorough in explaining her services and offered so many helpful tips. We booked her wedding coordinator package, and she was amazing throughout the entire planning process.

    Justina was always responsive and provided fantastic suggestions. Two months before the wedding, she really helped us nail down the timeline, which was the most stressful part for us. She even stayed late to make sure we had it perfect and asked all the right questions to ensure everything flowed smoothly. As a bonus, she helped us incorporate some Vietnamese traditions that we didn't know about, which we really appreciated.

    Before the big day, Justina did a walk-through of our venue and coordinated with all the vendors to confirm timings. On the wedding day itself, she was an absolute rockstar! She took care of everything and everyone – us, our wedding party, and even our guests. She even helped with our ceremony reception the day before, making sure we were fed and on schedule.

    JL Events - Best Decision Ever

    Choosing JL Events and Justina was hands-down the best decision we made as part of our wedding planning.

    We were late to the planning game (trying to plan within 10 months) and were overwhelmed by all the possible choices of vendors. We were also planning a wedding in San Francisco, while living in Sacramento! We were about halfway through picking our reception venue (a Chinese restaurant for a traditional banquet, since food was a big priority for us), and we realized we needed a lot of help.

    When we started looking for a planner, JL Events and Justina totally wow-ed us with the reviews (from former clients and former vendors), the thoughtfulness in her design/photos--she and her team totally lived up to the hype throughout the planning process and day-of-coordination! We went with Justina's full planning package. For each vendor, she asked us what we were looking for and was able to suggest a few vendors in those categories for our review; if those vendors weren't to our liking or out of our price range, she came back with additional suggestions. My partner is fairly particular, and Justina was incredibly friendly, professional, and understanding (and easy to be honest with) throughout the whole process--meeting with us at our venues on weekends, having phone calls and video chats with us throughout to make address any concerns, make sure we were staying on schedule, and smoothing out communication with potential vendors (quotes, availability, etc.). Ultimately, most of the major vendors came from Justina's recommendations (ceremony venue, florist, photographer, band, make-up artist, bartender) and we couldn't have been more pleased with how our wedding turned out! In terms of cost and quality of the vendors, Justina managed to help us identify where our money would have the greatest impact and where we could save--ultimately, she probably saved us more than the full cost of her services!

    On the day-of, Justina and her team managed everything so smoothly, my partner and I didn't have to worry about anything. We threw a bunch of random design elements (random paper crafts, vases) at Justina and her team, and they managed to make our reception venue look like we had planned an incredibly tasteful design all along! On an additional note, Justina and her team stayed until all our guests were gone, making sure everything was accounted for from start to finish.

    I could go on raving about JL Events, but I think the most ringing endorsement came from my mother, who initially wondered whether a wedding planner was worth the cost. After our wedding and seeing JL Events work their magic, all that Justina and her team did, how much less stress my partner I had, and how amazingly everything turned out, my mother completely changed her opinion.

    If you pick JL Events, you won't regret it. JL Events (Justina and her team) are totally worth every penny.

    Highly Recommend JL Events!

    If you're looking for a wedding planner who's professional but easy to work with, look no further than Justina of JL Events!

    Early on in our engagement, my husband and I were ambivalent on the idea of hiring a wedding planner. We had already chosen several of our main vendors and thought we could save money and handle planning our wedding on our own but we were mistaken. We were soon overwhelmed with all the details and started to have decision-making fatigue so we decided to look for a wedding planner. After quite a bit of research we chose Justina/JL Events and we are so grateful we did! Her services were definitely worth the investment.

    We highly recommend Justina for wedding planning and coordination. She is professional but personable, trustworthy, and very easy to work with. She had great communication from the start and all throughout the preparation for our big day; her responsiveness was amazing. During our first meeting, Justina quickly identified our needs and vision and created a detailed timeline for our wedding planning. She helped us narrow down design choices and accompanied us to meetings with vendors. We were impressed by her organization and proactive approach!

    Having Justina as our planner helped alleviate much of the stress that comes with planning a large wedding (we had about 260 guests.) There were several instances in which we were frustrated dealing with unresponsive vendors but Justina was great at facilitating communication and even helped us find better companies to work with.

    Justina helped us stay on track during rehearsal day and was an expert problem-solver. She coordinated with our vendors and the staff at Casa Real with ease and was patient with us and our large wedding entourage. On the day of our wedding, Justina and her assistant Dana took such great care of us and we were able to enjoy our wedding celebration! Justina truly demonstrated her expertise with event coordination. We really appreciated her taking so many behind-the-scenes photos and videos, too! She also created our beautiful wedding cake topper and welcome sign.

    We are forever incredibly grateful to Justina for bringing our dream wedding to life!

    The Best Decision We Made

    We were on the fence about hiring a wedding planner but decided to do it since we are not living in the Bay Area. We wanted someone experienced in planning Asian-American weddings and someone with who we vibed with. Hiring Justina was one of the best choices we made, especially as the wedding day got closer and things got more hectic. Having her and her team plan, coordinate, and manage the vendors decreased the overall workload and stress on us. Justina turned our vision into reality while keeping everything realistic and feasible to our budget. She communicated promptly, provided excellent vendor options, and helped tackle any concerns, questions, or issues we had, which ensured everything was smooth leading up to the wedding and on the day of. It was nice that we could just fly in for our wedding and know that Justina and her had everything under control. We wholeheartedly recommend Justina and her team to help plan your special day.

    Partial Planning

    We hired Justina for her partial planning services and she was a joy to work with. We found her through Instagram and turns out she was actually on our venue’s preferred vendors list! We had an intro meeting and she suggested that we select partial planning services as we had already chosen our venue at the time, yet she was still very attentive and responsive throughout the planning process and did a great job offering vendor options to consider. Sometimes we work till pretty late, and it was great that Justina offered late meetings. Just keep in mind that like many planners/vendors, she has many events on the weekends and she won’t be replying to emails per her official office hours M-Th, but likely reachable on IG or text if you have an emergency. She definitely went above and beyond to help with our DIY seating chart! The best part though, was that she took so many pictures for us on our wedding day and shared it all with us so we got to enjoy them on our honeymoon and during the agonizing wait for our official pictures to come back! She made sure our day went smoothly and was great at communicating with the vendors before, during, and after the wedding. Would recommend her to couples!! You definitely do not want to do the whole planning and coordinating thing alone…

    Amazing Wedding Planner who will make your dream wedding come true!

    We found Justina at a family member's wedding (now she's been the family's wedding planner 3 times!). We initially had a phone consultation and knew instantly that we wanted her to be our partial planner/ coordinator. Justina has been super helpful with the entire wedding planning process. I had a general idea of what I wanted in terms of my colors, makeup look, florals, music, etc and Justina was able to suggest different vendors she has worked with and helped us reach out to them. She was also super easy to message whenever I had a question or to help us reach out to a vendor. On our wedding day, she made sure we were having fun, and actually eating. And even though it, unfortunately, rained, pushing our ceremony from outdoors to indoors, she made sure that my dream wedding still came to life. We totally recommend her to all future couples getting married!

    Best Wedding Planner Ever

    This review is over 2 years overdue. I got married in April 2022 but I started planning my wedding with Justina in June of 2021. Throughout the entire process, Justina provided guidance, advice, and a listening ear as I navigated all the different decisions when it comes to planning a wedding. I leaned on her experience a ton. What’s great are her recommendations were catered to my husbands and I’s personality, budget, and likes. Justina always made herself available for any questions we had. It was easy to communicate with her and we always had a good sense of where we were in the process and what else needs to be done.

    Having Justina as part of our wedding was easily the best decision we made! We never felt stressed with wedding planning and we got to enjoy and cherish our special day. She’s so personable and I felt she truly wanted my husband and I to have the day we always imagined. And we did! Thank you, Justina - we’re so grateful to have you by our side!     Lovely Wedding Planning Experience

    Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Justina and her wonderful team for making my wedding day as special and as seamless as possible! Having a very busy schedule made it extremely difficult for me to plan my wedding. But all my wedding planning anxiety went away after hiring Justina. My husband and I picked the full service planning and let me tell you.... IT WAS SO WORTH IT! Justina made everything as easy as possible and was very organized and professional throughout the past year that I worked with her. She made sure we got each task done in a timely manner and always followed up on each vendor so nothing slipped out of the cracks. She is very knowledgeable in the wedding industry and gave so much guidance throughout the whole planning process that I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. On the day of our wedding she and her amazing team made everything run smoothly and helped give me ease so that I could enjoy my wedding day.     Definitely Worth it

    This review is a little over 1 year out from our wedding and since then my wife and I have been to a couple more weddings that we use as points of reference. Justina is amazing. Period. She was incredibly detail oriented and organized in a way that wasn’t overwhelming and helped us stay on task, while helping us figure out our vision for the wedding. She was always a part of meetings with our vendors and helped coordinate between different vendors so that everyone was on the same page about the program, where people needed to be, logistics, etc. She was very responsive and helped answer many questions on short notice, and always gave us a heads up when she was going to be unavailable and for how long. For us, what really blew us away was how she handled the day of the wedding. Throughout the day she made sure that we were fed and not going hungry. She checked in with us when we were getting stressed to help us center ourselves and be present in the moment. During the planning she also checked with us who we trusted to make program changes if necessary and we gave her that power. When things started running behind (not unexpected!) she immediately made changes to the program in a way that aligned with what we would have wanted so fluidly that our guests didn’t even know that changes were made on the spot.

    The best wedding planner!

    If you want to have the best wedding planner for your wedding, you absolutely need to have Justina and her team! We honestly don't know what we would have done without her from the absolute very beginning of our planning process. Justina is so kind, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, really the list could go on about all the wonderful things about her.

    From the beginning to even the day after our wedding, I never had to worry about details I had missed because Justina was already on top of it. She really is the absolute best!

    Best experience ever!

    We're so glad we hired Justina and her team to coordinate our wedding! Not a single negative thing to say about her team and their service and professionalism. It has been great service since the day I reached out to inquire about her services and I cannot recommend her enough to my friends who are starting to wedding plan.
    From the first day I reached out till after my wedding, Justina has answered all my questions, helped me out, and provided advice. Before the wedding, we met at the venue and did a walk through. It was very beneficial. Aside from the countless emails back and forth, we met again (online) to run through the decor I had planned. Day before the wedding, we met at the venue to finalize details. Then met up with the wedding party to do a rehearsal. Day of the wedding, everything was perfect! Justina and her team kept us on track with the wedding schedule and I loved that because since the day is so busy, it's so easy to lose track of time (I also didn't have the time on me)! She also managed all the vendors really well.

    JL Events made our wedding day perfect!

    We're so happy we hired Justina & JL Events. We booked the Intimate Package to have Justina help with day of & she helped with so much more. I'm a very organized & detailed person but knew I needed someone who understood wedding timelines and ALL THE DETAILS -- so happy Justina was by our side.

    BEFORE:
    * When we booked Justina about a year in advanced, she shared a Google Drive with to-do lists & more to keep us on track & organized.
    * 2 months prior, we did a video call to go through the vendors, contracts, to-lists, vision. And did about 2 more final calls leading up to the wedding. After every conversation with Justina, we felt like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She got our vendors together, reached out to those missing insurances, shared the timeline, etc etc.
    * There were many things we didn't know regarding marriage certificates, what to incorporate or not in a timeline, contract review, and many more details. Having Justina on our team was a breath of fresh air.
    * Venue walkthrough & rehearsals - Justina helped us & our wedding party get in order and set up for walking down the aisle.

    * Justina also does wedding signs & made our beautiful welcome sign with acrylic in a week turnaround. And also helped us book our rentals at an industry price (discount).

    WEDDING DAY:
    * True emotional support, with Justina - we were able to 100% be with our friends and family and everything went smoothly.
    * The team made sure we ate, gifts + cards were safely collected, everything flowed with the timeline, all our vendors worked as a one team mentality, and so much more.
    * Did I mention we had 230 guests, a huge family, did table visits, got family photos with everyone, AND still had time to be with our guests, enjoy every moment, and more? Justina made it happen.

    Thank you Justina & Andrea! It wouldn't have been the same with out and I'm sad it's all over.

    JL Events means stress free planning and coordination!

    I'm usually a very competent planner so I thought I would only need day-of or even month-of coordination. But my partner had just started as a professor at an R1 university and I was working on my dissertation and it all felt too much to handle.

    Enter Justina! We had a consultation with her and worked out a plan together at a very reasonable price. Justina picked up from exactly where we had left off and took over the coordination-- she got in touch with all our vendors, managed our timeline, and even paid attention to details like what color our linens would be! We definitely had a ton of decision fatigue, so it was great to be on a call with Justina and make those decisions together.

    It also helped that Justina has a lot of experience and with it, a lot of connections in the industry. She found our florist and makeup artist who were in our price range and they completely knocked it out of the park.

    And the best part of it? Justina made sure that we ate during our reception!! She and her crew made sure to set aside appetizers that we ate in a quiet room after the ceremony and actually let us get food first so that we could eat first.

    We definitely could not have had such a stress-free wedding were it not for Justina and her team. Forever grateful that the only memories we have of our wedding was all the fun and dancing without having to worry about the logistics of it all! Thank you!

    So fantastic!!

    JL Events is a must-hire for your wedding or event! I absolutely loved working with Justina as our month and day-of coordinator for our wedding.

    She went above and beyond, even communicating and organizing details well before the month of the wedding. She was super friendly and fun to work with, all while being so incredibly on top of ALL the details.

    Everything was flawless in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and then Justina and her day-of assistant were so incredible on the big day, taking care of every single detail with ease, and making sure my husband and I were well taken care of through the whole night.

    We were able to take a step back and relax during this important time, all while having Justina run the show, and I couldn't more grateful for that. Thank you, Justina!! You're the best!!

    Best thing I did for my wedding!

    Justina is very professional, organized, and friendly. She was also very patient and easy to work with. I booked with JLEvents in 2019 for my 2020 wedding. Although it got delayed to 2021, Justina checked up on me every now and then to make sure my planning was going smoothly.

    She was able to put together a whole seating chart for the reception in less than 12 hour notice. The day of the wedding, I had Justina and Dana. They had the venue set up exactly the way I wanted and all the details were there. They communicated with all the vendors and made sure they knew what to do. My husband and I were well taken care of as they fed us appetizers and got us cocktails while we were busy taking photos. They kept us on the timeline and made sure we were doing ok throughout the whole event.

    I truly believe booking Justina and her team was the best thing I did for my wedding. She really goes above and beyond for her clients.

    Thank you, Justina!!

    Back in 2019 my husband and I decided to contract someone to help us with wedding management and coordination on the day of our wedding. Luckily we found Justina on yelp. We decided to get the 'Intimate Package' which entails finalizing details, coordinating with our vendors, making a timeline and floor plan for our big day. Unfortunately, we were a COVID postponed wedding and had to postpone our wedding for a year. Justina was there for us the whole time. We truly appreciated all her flexibility, input, and guidance through such a stressful time for us. I really appreciated how organized Justina was and all the documents/google docs/zoom meetings/phone calls that kept my husband and me on track. I also really appreciated her offering some of her own inventory for our wedding, like the table numbers she let us borrow. It truly was the little things that meant so much to us. This review is long overdue, but we are so grateful to have had Justina there for us. Also, thank you for saving the day and recommending vendors when we most needed it. Our wedding day was amazing! if there were any problems, we didn't even know it! Brandon and I had so much fun that night and it was probably because you were running around putting out any fires.     10/10 Hire Justina!

    Justina was by far our best investment for our wedding. My husband and I opted for the intimate package (month/day of coordinator) as we had already lined up our vendors. As we got closer to our wedding, Justina started organizing our vendors, establishing arrival times, helped with our final floor plan, and provided due dates for our own tasks (i.e. getting a marriage license).

    On the day of, Justina and her staff made our reception ran smoothly. While handling vendors and timing, she even took the time to check in on both my husband and me throughout the night.

    There was an incident where my dad dragged our late night boba somewhere where it wasn't supposed to be, but Justina and her team caught it quickly...so quickly that I didn't even hear about it until after the reception over.

    I would highly recommend booking with Justina if you can!

    Best wedding planner 🥰

    If you are getting married or holding any kind of event and need a planner, Justina of JL events is the one for you! When I started wedding planning, I knew I would need a day of coordinator and I interviewed her and one other person, I instantly felt comfortable talking to her on the phone. She's super nice and personable!

    We opted for day of coordinator because we knew from previous friends weddings that venue coordinators leave after a certain time but paying for someone outside of the venue makes sure everything runs smoothly til the end. On the day of our wedding, Justina was amazing she was putting out small fires everywhere. From the Dj to the boba bar being prematurely announced as being open. She also made sure the day before we had a rehearsal and that we knew how we were walking in and how my mom would hand me off to my then fiancé. She's not just a planner/coordinator she becomes someone you trust and will be able to confide in. We are truly grateful for all her hard work for our wedding! If we ever have any events in the future like a Baby shower or any party planning needs, we will 100 percent hire Justina again! Also she moonlights as undercover photographer, it was such a nice surprise that she also helped us take a couple photos throughout our wedding for the setup to us doing the first dance , ceremony and cake cutting!

    For our wedding we worked with Justina using the Intimate package (day of coordinator). Initially our wedding had to be postponed due to the COVID pandemic.     Great experience!

    We selected JL Events for a 50-person wedding during COVID. We have chosen the venue and the caterer when we met Justina, but have not planned anything related to the decorations, logistics, and timeline. We specifically asked Justina for her guidance and ideas on these, as we would like to DIY most of these items and didn’t want to spend a lot of resources on them; at the same time, we didn’t know where to start and were afraid of missing anything. Justina did exactly that for us! After meeting on the color theme and decoration preferences, she created concept boards and guided us through finding every design element we needed (and there were a lot of them!). She kept everything under budget, offered great ideas, and reminded us of things that we missed from time to time. We also met at the venue multiple times to make sure that our designs would work for the location. She made sure that we were not worried or stressed about anything about the wedding.

    On the wedding day, Justina led her assistants to set up the decorations, guided all vendors (e.g., florist, caterer, musicians, photographers, cake). The result was a beautiful, romantic, and flawless event. All our guests praised the decorations, and everything worked out according to the timeline. We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding (instead of feeling that we needed to take care of anything) because of Justina. I highly recommend JL Events for couples who like to take care of (or design) parts of the wedding themselves, don’t want to overspend on wedding planning, but also want guidance from someone who is experienced, kind, and thorough. Justina knows how to work with your preferences, be a part of the team, and make your dream wedding come true.

    Best. Coordinator. Ever.

    Working with Justina was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She’s organized, professional, and she will make sure things run smoothly. Our wedding schedule was packed - I’m talking things planned to the minute - and we were on time for everything! Does that even happen at weddings? Yes, when Justina and her team are there! It’s difficult for things to run smoothly with so much in the program and so many moving parts but Justina pulled it off!

    Her warm and fun demeanor made her a dream to work with. She answered all of our silly questions and addressed all of our menial concerns without making us feel bad about them. We even left some things for last minute (I know, my husband and I are horrible) and she personally reached out to her network to help us pull things off! It really was like having a friend coordinate our wedding.

    She is super organized and sends you a carefully planned pdf with checklists and everything you could ever need to plan a wedding! You can even add tabs to further customize to your special day. She also has a personal inventory of things you can borrow for the day of the wedding (signs, money boxes, chargers for a fee, etc). We actually went with her chargers because the ones our venue tried to charge us for were 7x the price (shout out to Justina for helping us save money on your wedding)! She makes sure you are on time with your deadlines and that you and the rest of your vendors are all on the same page.

    She has a great eye for design and style so you can rest assured your reception/event will look amazing. She really goes above and beyond for her clients and she definitely exceeded all of our expectations.

    If I plan any other events, she will be the first person I call. She also plans bridal showers, baby reveals, does balloon arches, engagements, romantic picnics in the park - she is seriously the whole package. My husband and I were so lucky to have worked with her!

    If you want your wedding to look amazing, be stress free, be organized, and have just an all around amazing person in your corner, hire Justina. If you’re on the fence about booking her, just do it! I promise you won’t regret it!

    Worth every penny!


    Justina was our wedding planner for our wedding this past March (pre-covid lockdown, phew). And boy, did she make a world of difference! She is so meticulous and really helped to organize things we hadn’t even thought of!

    When someone tells you you don’t need a wedding planner, I can safely say they’re probably wrong. With Justina by our sides, our wedding planning was relatively stress free. She was available at all times and answered all my silly questions without making me feel uncomfortable. She gave input anytime I was unsure about something, which happened often.

    On the day of our wedding, we barely had any hiccups and if we did, Justina was there to iron them out before we even knew there was an issue! She worked well with all our vendors and my bridal party. She truly made a difference in how smooth our wedding went.

    We hired her as well for her wedding styling. She did a great job! She took what I had in my mind, and brought it to life beautifully.

    Best Wedding Coordinator Ever!

    We really needed a month of wedding coordinator to organize our vendors and provide general planning assistance. Our wedding was at the Julia Morgan Ballroom, and the team there recommended a handful of coordinators, including Justina. My now-husband, Laddie, who actually has the patience to research, looked into all of the referrals and decided that Justina seemed like the best fit for our needs. After our initial consultation with her, we knew that we wanted to work with her and immediately engaged her. Even though she was supposed to be a month of coordinator, she started assisting us immediately (we were about four months away from our wedding when we engaged her). She communicated with the Julia Morgan team, started reaching out to vendors, provided input on little details regarding the wedding, and did everything she could to make the wedding planning process easy for us.

    On the day of, Laddie and I were expecting something to go wrong just because of all the horror stories we'd heard from family and friends. But, thanks to Justina and her team, the day was amazing and everything went as planned. We had a pretty big wedding, but Justina and her team were on it and if something did go wrong, we didn't and still don't know about it because Justina just handled it. That was the most important thing for us - to have a coordinator who just handled any issues/problems that arose without telling us about it. Wedding planning is stressful enough, and we didn't want to be more stressed out on the day of hearing about things that were going wrong.

    If we had to do our wedding all over again, we wouldn't do it without Justina and her team. They are the best, and made our wedding day the best day of our lives. Wish we really could do it all again!

    Professional, friendly, and would highly recommend!

    I was initially skeptical about the need for a day-of coordinator, but after working with Justina and her team for our wedding, I could not imagine our day going as smoothly as it did without her!

    Justina really helped us organize and prioritize things we needed to focus on leading up to the big day and always responded to all of our emails and questions promptly and professionally. I also appreciated that she was available for our calls with a few of our vendors, as she helped me ask questions I would not have thought of and really helped us further refine the day-of schedule.

    On the day of the wedding, I was so thankful for her and her team as they handled everything from setting up, breaking down, and corralling people so that our family and friends could enjoy the day without any worries.     Day of Wedding Coordinator

    Justina and her team are really great at what they do. I booked Muong as my day-of-coordinator because Justina was already booked for another wedding that same day. I was hesitant at first, but Justina reassured me that she would be with me every step of the way, and that Muong along with 2-3 other assistants would execute day of. With more than enough hands on deck, I trusted them completely and needless to say Justina, Muong and the girls were AMAZING!!!

    Communication is key, and with them it was always easy and immediate. I am so happy and impressed with how my wedding turned out. They made sure my vision came to life, allowing me and my bridal party to truly enjoy the day. The team took care of the set up and clean up. They made sure my husband and I had something to eat and something to drink at all times. They ensured our vendors got fed and paid at end of night. They helped with all the envelopes my husband and I received during reception. They kept the pace going, because table visits can be hard to get through.

    Overall, I appreciate these girls SO MUCH! They made the entire process leading up to my wedding and day-of-execution stress free. They know what they are doing, it really wouldn't have been a success without Justina, Muong and the girls. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!

    You should hire JL Events!

    Justina is a fantastic wedding planner! We hired Justina as our month and day of coordinator and she truly went above and beyond. She was recommended by our wedding venue (Julia Morgan Ballroom in SF) and I'm so glad we found her!

    Leading up to our wedding, Justina was exceptionally communicative about everything, including minor details and preferences (i.e., guest dietary needs, small details at the wedding meant for one guest to enjoy the day, etc.). She quickly responds to any questions or concerns. For example, I was worried about the timeline of the wedding day, but Justina assured me that she was going make things move along as quickly as possible, which made me feel much better. Justina was wonderful at directing us to various other vendors she has worked with and trusts. She also made sure to ask clarifying questions and raised potential options or ideas that we hadn't considered. She coordinated with all of vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page.

    On our wedding day she was instrumental in how smoothly the day went. Thanks to Justina and her organizational skills, our wedding day was not at all stressful. She really enabled us to just enjoy such a meaningful day and being with our guests. On top of this, she has a really positive and can-do attitude. Her pricing and what is included in her packages is transparent, which we really appreciated. I was very impressed by Justina and highly recommend her as a planner.

    "Intimate" Package_Andrea as Lead

    We chose the “Intimate” package from JL Events for our wedding needs. Our wedding team was Justina Luong(owner), Andrea(Lead Coordinator), Dana(Support Staff), and Meng (Support Staff). Our wedding took place in San Francisco on July 2019, with two separate venues for the ceremony and reception. Our guest count was about 100 people.

    JL Events did an excellent job in customer service and the execution of wedding. Justina went above and beyond by recommending some fantastic vendors that met our budget and most importantly, expectations. We appreciated JL Event’s attention to detail by asking us questions and confirming logistics directly with vendors.

    Our wedding was Andrea’s first time as the event lead. She and the team really shined on our special day. When we had arrived on to the reception venue, we were impressed by how beautiful the place had looked. Everything was set up exactly how we had discussed. Seeing the venue set up so beautifully increased our confidence in how well the rest of the evening would go. All the events planned for the evening were on schedule. Andrea and Dana took turns delivering hors d'oeuvres and drinks to my husband and me in the bride’s room during cocktail hour. Throughout the night, Andrea checked in on us, whether it was coming to us directly to ask if we needed anything, or by being visibly present and engaging in eye contact.

    No one beats Justina and Team!

    Choose Justina! You won't regret it!

    We selected Justina as our "day of coordinator" for our September wedding. She provides a positive can do attitude that everything will be executed quickly and well done.

    My husband and I do not live in the Bay Area, which meant excellent communication skills were crucial for us in a coordinator. Justina always responded quickly to texts, calls, and emails despite planing multiple weddings. If you want amazing organization she can't be beat. Her planning templates and live meetings were incredibly helpful for thinking through all the parts of a wedding and clarifying our preferences.

    My wife and I didn't need full wedding planning so we opted for the "intimate package". When we requested recommendations for photography, make-up, cake decorator, or DJ she provided lists of contacts that perfectly matched our tastes. Her personal decor selection was also available to us, and was an excellent perk to have.

    The day of the wedding was amazing. We had a 30 min drive between our ceremony and reception, and she handled it like a pro. Even under time and travel constraints her team made both venues looked beautiful. She ensured all guests knew where to be and when at all times. All guests had fun and felt at ease. The venue had a mix up with the seating, but she handled it professionally and most importantly without troubling me or my husband.

    We worked with Justina who was our "day of coordinator" during our recent wedding at the Los Altos History Museum. My partner and I got engaged well over a year ago, and I reached out to Justina pretty early on. I did majority of the wedding planning but I realized I needed a day of coordinator so we chose the "Intimate" package. We met with Justina and felt it was a really good fit. The month prior to the wedding Justina really started working and she was always on top of everything! She is very organized, and whenever I had questions or concerns she was very responsive and prompt despite her being quite busy herself.

    The day of the wedding went pretty smoothly (if not, Justina did a good job of hiding it). She had contacted all our vendors and not once did we feel super stressed out or worried. She kept the flow going. And most of all our guests all seemed to have a great time since our wedding had such a relaxed feel. So kudos to Justina and her team. I 100% would recommend her to anyone asking for a wedding coordinator, her work is exemplary and we really could not have done it without her.

    Where to begin??? Justina and her crew were awesome.! She made our big day go by super smooth. On a super last min decision, she helped us decorate the arch and it turned out amazing. She super helpful, if she's doesn't know the answer, she'll find it for you. If you need anything from start to finish, day of, or just to ask questions about your big day, she's your girl.     Justina for your wedding/party/event coordinator!

    JUSTINA IS THE BEST!!!

    I was looking for a little help with planning my wedding in June and Justina was the perfect person to go to!

    The biggest help we needed was someone to coordinate with the vendors the day of the wedding so we did the "Intimate" wedding package.

    Any questions I had, Justina didn't hesitate to help! She was there with me when we met with the venue manager for the final meeting and was on top of everything! I couldn't have planned this wedding without her and her team! She also introduced me to a florist (JensFloralsDesign) and 2 bartenders that we used for our wedding as well.

    I won't have anymore weddings (hopefully) but will definitely ask Justina for her assistance for our 10 year anniversary and baby showers! Thank you so much! :)

    Couldn't imagine without JL!

    We hired Justina and her staff for our coordinator on our special day and she went above and beyond our expectations. Weeks before the wedding, she met with the venue with us and helped dial in all the details. JL Events took care of everything so that we could focus on making memories. Our wedding was on schedule, she coordinated all our various vendors, and helped setup all the items we didn't even think about so that we didn't miss a beat.     1000% Recommend JL Events

    I can't emphasis enough how wonderful Justina and her crew were leading up to my wedding and on the day itself. When I started planning my wedding, a few friends advised me to a hire a day-of coordinator for the event, and I'm glad I found Justina (rather, my mother discovered her and immediately called me to say that I should book her after their initial conversation because of her helpfulness).

    After we booked JL Events, Justina gave me a worksheet and digital folder so I can keep track of wedding details and vendor contracts. A few months before the wedding, we met with Justina to go over the wedding details. She immediately jumped in and started coordinating with our vendors, including keeping track of payments, making sure my "vision" was coming to life and answered all of our questions through phone calls, emails, texts and in-person meetings.

    On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant made sure everything went smoothly. From coordinating the first look, to setting up the reception decor, welcoming guests to the ceremony and even bustling my dress, they were awesome. Our wedding fell a little behind schedule, but Justina made sure we got back on track, and accommodated all of our requests. After the wedding, she arranged a call to de-brief about the day and to make sure it lived up to our vision. I thought this a nice detail, and appreciated that she took the time to follow-up with us. I definitely recommend JL Events if you're looking for a coordinator or event planner.

    Exceeded all expectations!

    Justina and team were everything we could have imagined and more. She is so much more than "a day of coordinator." Justina encouraged me to send vendor contracts and keep her updated MONTHS before our wedding and she made sure to send monthly check-ins with tasks that we should be working on, it was incredibly helpful. Justina's rates are unbelievably reasonable for her work.

    Our wedding had more than your standard set up with many pieces, displays and small touches coming from us directly instead of vendors. To handle that Justina added additional people to her team (all at no charge to us) and executed everything flawlessly.

    If you're still looking or planning to meet with other potential wedding coordinators, don't! There is no need to luck further...if Justina is available on your wedding date, BOOK HER!

    Dream wedding planner!

    Justina was amazing to work with throughout our wedding planning process. From the initial kickoff meeting to the final debrief of the wedding, Justina was professional, personable, organized, and understanding. Since we planned a destination wedding, we relied on Justina to help with sourcing local vendors and reassuring me that this decision to plan a destination wedding was a good one :) She helped me find vendors within my budget, kept a payment schedule for me, and became the main point of contact with several vendors. And that's the short list of what she actually helped with! On the day of, she and her team ensured the smoothest wedding ever.     Super easy to work with and took care of everything!

    First and foremost our wedding was a huge success, in large part due to Justina, Muong, and all of the day of coordinators that helped throughout the day. We are so happy to have went with JL Events and would recommend them to anyone looking for wedding coordination. It really did make it easier for us to plan and just not have to worry about too many things on our special day. We are very pleased with how it all turned out.

    From our initial planning meetings, conference calls, to the walk through and ultimately our special day, they came prepared and were professional. Sure little things came up that we really couldn’t control, but it was all sorted out and we really couldn't have imagined it going so well.

    I have to admit we were kind of guinea pigs being one of the first weddings where Justina (the owner) was not going to be there as she had to coordinate for another wedding. Yes we were a tad bit nervous. But as soon as our day started Muong and her team eased our stress and allowed us to enjoy the day. They just got things done with minimal input from us and that is what we liked. To not have to deal with those things really did make it nice for us.

    So if you are thinking about getting wedding coordinators, I would reach out to JL Events and see if they can help you. Not only did they execute on our day, they let us borrow a dozen wedding decorations and random things that we were able to save money on. Also, they referred us to some awesome bartenders we ended up using.

    Amazing, responsive throughout the wedding planning!

    Justina was our day-of coordinator during our wedding and all I can say is, WOW. She and her team truly did an amazing job. She even fixed my husband's coat when one of the buttons was almost falling out. Communication was exactly as described in our contract. In fact, I'm sure she even went above and beyond during the whole wedding planning. Justina was very organized and her input truly made a difference during our wedding day.     Justina and her team were excellent! She was very easy to communicate with and responded promptly. Before the big day she came down to look at the venue and went over step by step double checking everything that needed to go down that day.

    On the day of she was extremely professional and was on top of everything. The last thing the bride needs to worry about is her vendors setting up on time and correctly, but Justina made sure everything went smoothly.

    She made sure that everything was 100% okay before leaving. We only needed her assistance for the first half of the day and she made it absolutely perfect

    Justina was very good at communicating with our vendors. We rented out a historic house as our wedding reception venue, and she did an amazing job to make sure the break down of the event happened smoothly and made sure the venue was not damaged and had put everything back in place if any alteration had happend for our event.

    Whatever we had communicated to her, she did her best to make it happen. We had a walk through and just before the wedding we had a very detailed phone call. So as much as detail that I provided, she was able to deliver.

    I didn't know how bad we needed Justina for our wedding planning until we started working with her. She definitely knows what she's doing. She was so thoughtful and brought to our attention all the details we needed to think through for our diy wedding.     I'm so glad that Justina and her team coordinated the day of wedding. No bride or groom should be running around planning their wedding day. Justina and her team are AMAZING. We had so many small details in our wedding and with 2 hours her and her team were able to set everything up.

    To give you an idea of what we had, our center pieces had 3 cylinder vases with fairy lights that needed to be placed and turned on, 3 votive lights that needed to be set and lit, table numbers and floral arrangements. Our venue had a donut wall which her and her team placed the donuts on and we had a self serve boba bar. With a small window to set this all up Justina and her team were able to do that. They unpacked all of our things and packed it all at the end of the night.

    Long story short. Anytime I needed something Justina or her assistance were there without even asking. An example is: After the grand entrance my bridesmaids asked oh where are you going to put your bouquet and I wondered hmm it's ok. I'll put it on the table and there was Justina's assistant with the vase for my bouquet.

    Throughout the night and even leading into the ceremony Justina provided me a time check when I asked and let me know where we had time and not to worry.

    I highly recommend Justina and her team. There is so much more that happens in one day and all I can say was that I did not regret choosing her as my coordinator. Leading up to the wedding she did a monthly check in from 6 months to 1 month so her "day of coordination" goes beyond one day.

    The #1 piece of advice I received from all my married friends was: hire a day of coordinator. Even though my husband and I were planning our wedding ourselves, we wanted a DOC so we could relax and actually enjoy our day. But for some reason, out of all the wedding vendors, we had the toughest time finding the right DOC. After contacting other potential candidates who we just didn't quite click with or who wouldn't work within our budget, we were so happy to find Justina. When we first met her, she seemed knowledgeable and had a calm confidence, plus her package pricing was reasonable. We felt that we'd be in good hands so we hired her right away. When we explained that we liked to plan things ourselves and might not need as much help as other couples, she was understanding and supportive in letting us take the lead while also still lending her expertise. Even though we hired her as a day of coordinator, Justina was so much more!

    Overall our wedding day went really well and stayed on schedule, thanks to Justina and her assistant. They did a wonderful job—from managing all the vendors and setup to making sure the venue was clean and tidy at the end of the night so we'd get our deposit back. They also kept our card box and gifts safe all night and packed our personal items and decor to take home after the wedding.

    We hired Justina as a day of coordinator for our November 2017 wedding. Overall, we were happy with JL Events, our wedding ceremony and reception turned out just as we envisioned it and everything was PERFECT. Justina was quick with follow up and great at communicating with us and all our vendors. Also, having a "go-to" person making sure our wedding events ran on time was a blessing. Wedding planning is very stressful and expensive so having an extra pair of hands and eyes on the big day was a tremendous help. That being said, it's good to make sure you have trusted family and friends on hand willing to help on wedding day since sneaky surprises are bound to happen.

    I'm so happy we went with JL events to execute our wedding day! Our initial meeting with Justina showed us that she really knew was she was doing, she had everything outlined for us and was very organized. She always promptly responded to any questions or concerns we had and was of course prompt for our rehearsal and wedding day. She periodically checked in with me to make sure I was staying on track with my planning too!

    Justina understood what vision I was going for and executed it exactly how I had imagined. She was in close contact with all our vendors, created a clear timeline of how the day panned out, and everything seemed to work out smoothly. Justina and her team also worked quickly to resolve a minor issue we had with our centerpieces (silly me, I should have tested how hot the glass vases got with flamed candles) - my centerpieces were cracking due to the heat from the candles so they all worked quickly to blow out all the flames. This was a true testament in her ability to take care of the inevitable wedding day mishaps.

    A MUST for event/wedding planning - JL Events does an amazing job!

    I knew that I wanted and NEEDED a Day-of-Coordinator (DOC) for my wedding and JL Events was able to help me out when I was in a bind. With the package that I selected, most of the wedding planning was already in place and Justina helped me fine tune and make adjustments to the schedule.

    We met only once during planning but exchanged many emails leading up to the wedding.

    On the day of rehearsals- Justina came and helped me talk to the venue coordinator and made sure that they understood the schedule and the set up. She did a wonderful job at the rehearsals and the wedding party felt confident with their roles for the following day.

    For me, one of the most important aspects of having a DOC is the set up of props and decor. Part of JL EVENTS is actually the transport and set up of wedding items- which is exactly what I wanted. Justina was prepared to take all of my decor off of my hands at the rehearsals- but she was able to secure a storage space at the venue so we were luckily- able to stow away the items for the following day.

    On the day of the wedding, Justina came with her team and I just let the wedding day play out accordingly. With her team and my own set of delegated helpers- my wedding turned out wonderful.

    Notable moments I felt JL EVENTS saved me:
    1. Rehearsals
    2. Last minute adjustments to scheduling when your vendors' "time is up"!
    3. Cake cutting and champagne toast coaching - my husband and I were so clueless but Justina saved us

    We couldn't have been happier with Justina and her crew! From start to finish, she was professional and got a tough job done. Our wedding was going to be relatively simple, except for the fact that a week before the wedding, a torrential downpour was in the forecast! Justina not only helped keep us at ease on the day of, but she also hustled with her crew and had to do a last minute change of plans at the venue to bring the entire ceremony indoors. We had confidence in her that no matter what, she was there for us and she would get it done.

    It was hands down the best day and we couldn't have done it without her! Her prices are reasonable and she kept in close communication, especially when handling all of the logistics with our vendors, photographer, etc.

    We hired Justina for our 300+ guest wedding on a boat in Sept 2017. Given such a large wedding, I knew a day of coordinator was a must-have for us. Finding a coordinator within our budget was actually one of the hardest vendor searches I did. Some of the ones I came across were WAY too expensive, some were all booked for my date, and one just didn't seem like a good fit after the initial meeting. I hired Justina right away after our first meeting. She seemed experienced, spoke Cantonese (a huge bonus since a lot of my guests speak primarily Cantonese), was within our budget, and had simple pricing. Her package price included up to two assistants, when others usually charge extra for each assistant they bring.

    Justina was very professional, organized, and calm, which is everything a bride needs to keep her sane during wedding planning. She gave good suggestions for our timeline, and did a great job of developing relationships with our vendors the month before the wedding. She has great vendor references too, so it's probably best to hire her early on in your wedding planning so you can take advantage of them.

    Justina and her assistants were absolutely amazing the day of the wedding. No matter how organized of a bride you are, there will always be last minute/day of decisions that the coordinator will have to make on behalf of the couple. The decisions she made were the same ones we would have made ourselves. I had a lot of guests which were difficult to manage and communicate with. She managed them like a pro, and didn't hesitate to break out her Cantonese when needed. Justina and her team also did a wonderful job in setting up our decor, and also took their own pictures of the decor and key parts of the wedding that your photographer may not capture (like the moment right before you walk down the aisle).

    There were definitely hiccups during the wedding, but we owe it to Justina for making sure our wedding was one to remember for us and our guests!

    Justina was our day of coordinator at our wedding on 9/1/2017 and did an amazing job. She executed our (our = the wife) vision exactly how she envisioned it. Everything was flawless! She was always very responsive to all of our questions throughout the whole process and is very organized. We couldn't have done it without her.

    If you're wondering if you could make do without a coordinator on the day of like we thought just to save some money, then you are mistaken. Hire her! You will not regret it. I promise!

    We hired Justina a month before our wedding and it was the best decision we made! We could not have executed our day without her. Justina is timely in her responses and she helped to make my vision come to life. The day of our wedding, we had a couple hiccups and she was able to resolve it quickly and keep the show rolling! If you have not hired a coordinator, then hire Justina!

    On July 1st, I had my wedding at crowne plaza in Palo Alto. On the day of, her and her assistant, Dana worked tiredlessly to make sure everything went perfect and it DID!

    Everything went perfectly and it was all because of Justina! We hired her as wedding coordinator because we felt like we needed more than just a day of coordinator.

    Justina is everything you would look for in a planner. We knew we needed a planner, and we didn't know who to hire but we were happy to stumble across her while searching for one on the web.

    She answers emails, phone calls and text promptly. She's not like other wedding vendors where you book them and then they are unresponsive. She takes her job super seriously and doesn't procrastinate on anything. She is extremely professional and detail oriented.

    I find her prices to be extremely reasonable. She's worth every penny. She will go above and beyond for you. I will be recommending all my friends to her.

    HIRE HER! you will not regret it!

    Justina was my day of coordinator for my 3/25/17 wedding, and I couldn't have been more pleased. Justina is friendly, easy to work with, helpful and attentive. She reached out to my vendors well in advance to handle the logistics and made herself available months before the big day. On the day of my wedding, not only was she on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly, but she even helped me into my dress when everyone else in my bridal party was too busy to mind the bride!

    The best part of working with Justina was that I knew my wedding was in good hands. If I needed anything or wanted to make a last minute, Justina was there. I had a wonderful and stress-free wedding day thanks to Justina! And at the end of the night, she and her assistant packed up my reception items and hauled them up to my hotel room so that I didn't have to worry about it.

    I interviewed several people before hiring Justina on the spot. I knew from our initial meeting that she'd be someone that you can really count on. Plus, she's also got a really calm, patient, and confident demeanor.

    My wedding was just a day ago, and I can't thank her and her team enough for executing my wedding everything so perfectly, from start to finish. She was also a valuable resource for great vendors. I chose her recommendations on the chairs/lighting/furniture rental, wedding cake, photo-booth, and wedding favor (macarons).

    She was really thorough and spent a lot of time with me to planning the entire timeline out, and making sure we didn't leave any details behind. And now that the wedding is over, I can say
    that everything worked out really well and there were no unexpected surprises.

    I highly recommend Justina for all of your wedding day needs!

    My wife and I hired Justina as a day-of coordinator for our wedding last September, and cannot recommend her and her staff enough! Justina wowed us from our first meeting, and was at once easy to work with, knowledgeable, extremely well-organized, and proactive in solving problems as soon as they arose. She was always stepping in to help out wherever she could, even we weren't even expecting her to. For example, when she noticed the audio quality of the music at our reception wasn't quite perfect, she called up the person who'd set up the speakers earlier and got them to drive back out to our venue in Tilden park -- turns out one of the cables had become a little frayed, and needed to be replaced for the speakers to sound their best. This is just one of many little hiccups that Justina wouldn't have taken the blame for if they hadn't been addressed, but for which she still took the initiative to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. At the beginning of the planning process we weren't sure whether we were going to hire a coordinator or not, but in retrospect we just can't imagine going through the process without her assistance -- I can't think of any way in which she and her staff could have exceeded our expectations any further.

    Wow. My husband and I had done a bunch of the planning for our wedding, but quickly realized that we would not be able to handle everything the day of (as much as I would have enjoyed wearing a headset and carrying a clipboard in my wedding gown and being everywhere at once, hah!). We started looking at different day of coordinators and reached out to several before finding Justina. Meeting with her took a huge weight off our shoulders and the day of the wedding was mercifully worry-free for us thanks to Justina and her assistant. We were able to just enjoy the day!

    Our friends who helped with the centerpieces and arrived to the venue before us were nervous to interact with a coordinator since they had had a negative experience with an unfriendly one in the past; they were blown away by how nice, calm, and friendly Justina was. That said, Justina is no pushover and she also knows when to put her foot down--when a vendor showed up with no invoice, she declined to pay them until they provided one. She also made a fantastic recommendation for a local florist who gave us a better quote than another I'd spoken with, and created the perfect bridal bouquet for me and lovely corsages and boutonnieres for immediate family.

    If you want someone who is professional, organized, punctual, and just a pleasure to chat with, you should hire Justina. Don't hesitate! I can't say enough about what a joy she was to work with.

    We started working with Justina three months before our July wedding and she is just fantastic. She had check lists along the way and it felt good crossing more things off as we got closer to the wedding. She also kept in touch with the other vendors making sure everyone was in the know. I was really relaxed the weeks leading up to the wedding and it was mostly due to Justina keeping everything grounded and manageable. My favorite thing though was her execution the day of the wedding. I had a lot of flowers and decorations and nick-nacks for the ceremony and reception and while my ideas looked good in my head, I just wasn't quite sure how they would look when they came to life. "It all looked amazing!" doesn't begin to describe how happy I was with the way she put it together. She read my mind! She had two assistants and they were all running up and down the ladder putting my paper lanterns in the best spots. They're awesome. Definitely check out Justina and JL Events

    My husband and I wanted both Hindu and catholic ceremony.We need a event coordinator who could coordinate both ceremonies along with reception on same day.
    When we met Justina, she had some knowledge about Hindu wedding, however was willing to learn. From get go she was very meticulous and on top of everything. Her organization, communication , coordination skills and flexibility are outstanding. Plus she has very pleasant personality which makes it easy to talk to her We had some hiccups at the wedding due to caterer and Justina came to rescue.Everyone at the wedding were impressed with smooth flow of events.

    We are very happy that she was our event coordinator and recommend anyone who needs a event coordinator to pick her...you will be very happy and worry free!! and ZERO disappointment!!

    Getting a wedding coordinator was not high on my list and finding one that met my standards was difficult. I'm glad I found Justina!

    We established clear expectations early on and were consistently updating it throughout the planning process. The monthly check-ins kept me on top of planning. Justina were really flexible with meeting times and very vocal with the venue. I like that she didn't hesitate to express her concerns or thoughts based on her experiences. I REALLY appreciated the help with the weather / tent chaos. Who knew it would rain in May? I had plenty of DIY elements and she executed each one as we had discussed. All in all, I was extremely satisfied with her services.

    My husband and I weren't sure we needed a wedding coordinator, but we are so glad we hired Justina. We started looking at coordinators a couple of months before the wedding, after we had booked our venue and done most of the planning ourselves.

    When we met with Justina, she was professional, listened to our plans and answered our questions, and took notes. We felt like we could trust her and her affordable fees sealed the deal.

    Justina was flexible; she was able to meet me at the venue on a weekday before the wedding. Again, she listened, took notes, and asked clarifying questions.

    One thing we had not done was finalize the timeline for the day and she helped us plan that, thinking through the flow and how long each part of the day would take.

    Leading up to the wedding, she took the contact information for all our vendors and made sure she knew when they would arrive and what their needs were.

    During the wedding, everything went smoothly and it was so nice for my husband and I not to be worrying about the details. We could just enjoy our day.

    At the end of the night, Justina and her assistants packed up everything and loaded it into my cousin's car for us to pick up later.

    I would highly recommend Justina as a wedding coordinator. She was responsive and helpful with any emails or calls or questions we had throughout the process. She was affordable and professional. Hire her so you, your family, and friends can be worry-free on your special day!

    After getting engaged, my now husband and I both agreed that it would be best to hire a day of coordinator. Being an event planner myself, I know the stress of it and I want to be as stress free as possible on my wedding day. Justina was very detailed in our meetings leading up to the big day. She sent out monthly checklists to make sure we were on schedule with our tasks. There was a minor hiccup with our wedding cake on the day of and Justina fixed it without us even knowing. From pictures, it looked like a disaster and I would've freaked out, but I'm so glad Justina and her team was able to fix it. The wedding went smoothly and we had so much fun. I keep getting comments that it was such a great idea to hire Justina and everything went so smoothly because of her. We highly recommend her and she's a must have on your wedding day!

    Justina was my wedding planner for my wedding in August of 2015. She worked with me from the very beginning all the way to our big day (Which was about a year)! From helping us find our venue to helping us design our seating chart and everything in between, Justina handled everything like a pro! Not to mention our huge guest list of about 300! All I have to say is on the day of my wedding, she took care of everything! I honestly got to enjoy every minute of it!

    Justina even suggested an excursion to hit up on our honeymoon which we loved loved loved! (Outdoor adventures in PV)

    I would definitely recommend JL Events for your wedding! We felt relatively stress free throughout the entire wedding planning process because of her :)

    Decided to get a day of wedding coordinator for my wedding as my wedding venue did not provide one. My goal was to be the least stressed out bride on her wedding day and happy to say I achieved this goal! I owe a huge part of this to Justina. She's very detailed oriented and was helpful throughout the whole planning process. She also provided me with great vendor suggestions, which I used at my wedding.

    A few examples of things I didn't prepare for at the wedding but Justina helped with are:

    1. We didn't have a wedding rehearsal the day before, primarily because of the timing allotted at the Venue and the price of the rehearsal. Right before the wedding, while I was in the bridal room, Justina gather the whole wedding party and the parents to go through a quickie rehearsal. And everything turned out great!

    2. Cake cutting. It might sound so simple to just go cut a cake but Justina was able to just talk us through the little details that really helped. If not for this, I don't know how awkward our pictures might turn out.

    Overall, I highly recommend Justina for your wedding if you need a wedding coordinator!

    Go with a coordinator!

    Background on our wedding: my husband and I got married in a civil ceremony in October 2019. We wanted to have our bigger reception with family and friends in October 2020. Then the pandemic happened and we postponed to October 2021.

    Around June 2021, as we were getting closer to our new October 2021, we realized it would probably be helpful to get some outside help with coordination and logistics. After chatting with a few vendors, we went with JL Events because their rates seemed to be at a reasonable price point, have worked at our venue before, and have also worked with some of our other vendors like the caterer and DJ. When interviewing JL Events, Justina was upfront that she herself was booked on our date. She offered to have one of her lead coordinators, Andrea, work our event while she lead the coordination leading up to it. We were fine with that since both Justina and Andrea have worked weddings at our venue before.

    We went with the Intimate Package since we had already booked the majority of our vendors so we did not need help with vendor research or contract negotiations. Our main goal in looking for a coordinator was to have someone that wasn't a family or friend step in for communications and tying up loose ends leading up to our event, assisting with creating a day-of timeline, and to be on-site for set up and breakdown, and to keep us on track with the timeline. With JL Events, they were able to these services! It was also great that Justina had some decor like table numbers, easels, and votive candles that we could borrow for free.

    A couple months before our big day, Justina shared a Google Drive with some spreadsheets to help us keep organized, such as a list to plug in vendor names and and their contact info, and timeline and seating chart templates. I utilized these resources along with my own created lists to keep track of things. I think the Intimate Package is good for someone who is already organized. I did have to jump in a few times to clarify details with vendors and to remind Justina of things I wanted to her to send out. It was good to also have Justina be a second pair of eyes for finalizing details like the rentals with our catering company and reminding me of what furniture was already available at our venue since she's worked there before.

    About a month before our event, we met with Justina and Andrea for a site visit at our venue. During this time they helped us visualize where our vendors would be set up, how our reception tables would be laid out, and started a mock floor map for us. We also went over our timeline draft to make a few tweaks. We appreciated their input with suggestions on how to make the timeline flow better. A few days before our event, we met Andrea at our venue to drop off our decor. She went through each box to make sure everything was accounted for in her binder.

    On the day of our event, Andrea was our lead coordinator along with another assistant. Things seemed to be set up according to plan, and if something had to change Andrea would pull me aside for a quick update or to ask me for my input. However, we weren't bogged down by all the details and Andrea seemed to take care of everything along with our caterer and photographers. We were on track in our timeline (at times even ahead!) and at the end of the night, Andrea and her assistant performed the fastest clean-up I've ever seen. Everything was packed and loaded in our car in less than an hour after our reception was over.

    Looking back at our reception, we felt like we really had a positive and stress-free experience! I know that a huge part of that was hiring JL Events as our coordinator. I would highly recommend getting a coordinator if you're planning a big event like a wedding reception because you deserve to enjoy your day!

    Poor Experience with JL Events

    My fiancé Katie and I had a very poor experience with JL Events and we would not recommend them.

    We worked with Justina directly and found her to be not very thorough, lacking attention to detail, passive, not the most organized, borderline lazy, and a bit inexperienced.

    We booked the "Over The Top" package for wedding planning and day of coordination, which Justina described as for "people who want to do little work and simply say 'yes' or 'no' to things". The reality was far from that as we found ourselves having to ask Justina to do every single little thing, otherwise things would not get done. After working with her for amount 6 months, we cancelled our contract with Justina and went with another planner: Christina Romero (who is AWESOME and has been planning for 17 years, i.e. very experienced) and we are very happy we made the change.

    Example of being not very thorough:

    Justina's "Over The Top" package includes reviewing contracts. We signed about 8 or 9 vendors and not a single contract seemed to be reviewed as there was not a single call out of anything to be changed. Being that things are just opening up from COVID and with the risk of a second wave with the new Delta variant, one would think that contracts would be reviewed for any language pertaining to another COVID shutdown, however, this did not happen. As a result, we are left open to risk if another shutdown were to happen. Another example is that Katie needed to buy a wedding dress and being that it is her first time, she had no idea of the timeline. One day, Katie hears from a friend that you should buy your dress about 10-12 months from the wedding date as it takes 4-6 months to make the dress and another 2-3 months or so for alterations. Why did Justina not mention this? In comparison, our current planner Christina created a list of milestones for Katie and I to ensure that we are doing each thing that we need to do by the date that it needs to be done. Very thorough and on top of it.

    Example of lacking attention to detail (and being borderline lazy):

    We provided Justina with the budget we were comfortable with for a floral vendor and Justina scheduled a call with one that ended up taking an hour long and was almost 2x our budget. This was a waste of time and could have been avoided. In addition, since the first vendor had all of the information of what we wanted, we asked Justina to please copy over those items for a quote with our second floral vendor. Instead of actually checking line item by line item, Justina said "I think it is just missing a few boutonniere's". Since I wasn't sure, I reviewed both quotes myself and noticed it was not missing just a few boutonniere's. Again, waste of time and could have been avoided if Justina just said "ok, I will review both quotes and make sure they match." Instead, Justina opted to do as little as possible, which placed that burden back on us.

    Examples of being passive:

    I already described that Justina did not do much work, unless we asked her. Having to ask her every time to do things got laborious and we found it to not be an efficient way to work. In comparison, our current planner Christina works by first asking us a ton of questions early on to get all of the information she needs. Then, she goes to work and does everything that needs to be done, only checking back in with us when she needs more information or for us to say "yes" or "no" to things. Also, on vendor calls with Justina, it was not clear who was leading the call. Was it Justina, the vendor, or myself? With Christina, it is very clear she is leading.

    Example of being not the most organized:

    Justina shared a Google Sheet with us to track everything wedding related. When vendors would get booked, the sheet would need to be updated with booking information, how much was paid, how much the balance was, etc. Sometimes Justina updated it, sometimes she did not. Consequently, I found myself updating the sheet with this type of information more times than her. Also, in looking at the document compared to Christina's, it is a NIGHT AND DAY difference with the amount of information that it contains. Justina's was about 8 sheets, while Christina's is a massive Teamwork doc that has fields for every single little detail for the wedding including slots for song names for each part of the wedding (i.e. when the wedding party comes out, when the bride and groom come out, closing song, etc.).

    Example of being borderline lazy:

    With vendors, Justina would simply forward Instagram links over to us with no additional information. Sometimes, the links forwarded would not even fit the criteria that we outlined for Justina. The result was that we had to do our own research to make decisions. Comparing this to our current planner, Christina asks vendors a long list of questions to get as much information as possible, which allows us to easily make decisions with very low effort on our part. Christina also presents 3 options, then recommends 1, and provides the reasons why, again very easy for us.

    Example of inexperience:

    With every vendor we worked with, Justina simply forwarded their emails to us. We would respond and she would then forward our response back. To help illustrate the difference, our current planner Christina would review a vendor's response and make sure it has all of the information needed. If it did not, she would reply back to them and get that information before presenting it to us. In terms of pricing, Justina did no negotiating unless we asked. Christina, meanwhile, actively negotiates (without us asking) to ensure we get the best possible rates.

    All in all, Justina is a pleasant person to work with. However, everything else, as outlined above, we found to be lacking and/or subpar. We would not recommend Justina and JL Events.
