  Captured the most magical moments perfectly!

  If you’re looking for unique, genuine, and heartfelt moments captured, go to Jenn! We found her through recommended photographers from a bridal magazine. Upon meeting Jenn, we were drawn that she was a geek (like us!) and was a huge LGBTQIA+ supporter. Our hearts were won over and for our engagement shoot - she recommended the most gorgeous location - Eagle Falls. She also gave us great tips on how not to look awkward in photos together. Throughout our time together (post-poned wedding 2x due to pandemic) Jenn was always quick to respond to messages, sets clear expectations, and was detail orientated to take note of who was important to capture in photos for our wedding day. On the day of, she went around the venue to check for great spots and knew when to pull us in for the right moment! During family photos, she was an amazing lead in directing people for family photos (and we have a huge family!). She also made sure to grab us to catch romantic photos before sunset which we absolutely adore. Post-wedding, we received 3 previews in a week and full photos within a month! Her website also makes it easy to order quality photos for friends and family. Know you’re not only getting amazing photos that last forever but a peace of mind and a genuine experience you’ll look back on fondly.

  Simply the BEST!

  I don't even know where to begin with how much my husband and I love working with Jenn. She's fun, down-to-earth, hilarious, easy to work with, and captures amazing moments - beautiful, funny, touching, silly, genuine, emotion-filled moments.
  
  We actually stumbled across Jenn's work while researching wedding venues, and she was the first person we emailed as soon as we had our date booked. When COVID-19 turned our plans upside down, we agreed she was the one non-negotiable as we changed our plans - whatever else might change, we wanted to be sure Jenn captured our day, whatever it looked like. She did, along with Brandon, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. Our families loved her, and we'll treasure the photos she and Brandon took of our wedding day for the rest of our lives.
  
  Having worked with Jenn for both our engagement and wedding photos and loved both experiences, she's the first person we'll turn to whenever we need portraits or family photos (and, eventually, the giant dance party we didn't get to have this year!) from here on out. I could not recommend Jenn's work more highly - she should definitely be your first call once you have your wedding date!

  Jenn and Brandon helped save our wedding!

  enn and Brandon are artists who take amazing photos -- the staged ones, but also the real moments that you want to remember: the way your mom looks at your brother when they're sharing a joke, that quick moment between you and your partner, etc. They are incredible and they captured our wedding day with such beautiful photos that I cried happy tears when we saw the album. But just as important, Jenn and Brandon are wonderful human beings who can adapt to changing plans and capture the beauty in moments even under terrible circumstances.
  
  We would know: three days before our planned wedding, my groom (vaccinated) tested positive for COVID. Our wedding plans had to be thrown out the window. We called Jenn and let her know that we were going to have to do something different where we'd be quarantined from our guests and all vendors We let her and Brandon decide if they still wanted to participate. They both said yes.
  
  With some creative thinking, we were able to have a quarantined wedding. We put all of the guests who still wanted to come on a cruise boat, and the groom and I participated from a safe distance on a two person speedboat. Jenn and Brandon shot the whole wedding using long lenses from a safe distance. They were incredible, and we were amazed watching them work so hard during the wedding to capture every moment. These photos mean a lot to us, because we couldn't interact with our guests -- the photos let us feel like we were there. Jenn and Brandon also surprised us with video of our guests giving us wishes -- a huge, wonderful surprise that let us really feel their love.
  
  The pictures here speak better than I ever could. I am so beyond grateful that we picked Jenn and Brandon to shoot our wedding. They are special people and anyone would be lucky to have them.

  WOW! Beautiful artistic photos!

  In short, Jenn is amazing. I would recommend her without reservation. It was obvious during our initial meeting that she takes tremendous pride in her work, but it was also apparent that she has so much fun too! It was snowing and freezing the day of our engagement photos, and Jenn was laughing and smiling with us the entire time. The photographs turned out beautifully too! Our wedding day Jenn had arrived early and orchestrated the most beautiful and artistic first look photo. She truly is an amazing person to work with. Professional, funny, down to earth, and kind hearted. Book her and I promise you won't be disappointed.

  Best decision of our wedding!!

  Jenn was the best decision we made for our wedding this past June. To call her a vendor doesn't seem right -- she treated us as if we were her own family. She made both me and my husband feel incredibly comfortable throughout the entire time we worked with her. Better yet, her photographs were incredible (and not the cookie cutter wedding photos you have seen 1,000 times). I cannot recommend her more -- best money we spent!! Don't think twice, book her before someone else does :-D.

  Jenn is AMAZING! I'd been looking at different photographers and was getting discouraged with how all of the photographers' work looked the same and there was no genuine connection with the ones we'd met. I met Jenn at the Woodinville Wedding Show and automatically knew she was the one we wanted when we saw her photos. Her photos are so genuine and real and that is exactly what we wanted. She did not have heavily photoshopped and edited photos on display, her skill at capturing real people and the moments they were experiencing was evident in the work she displayed. I was able to schedule a meeting with her, my fiance and myself and what was supposed to be just a get-to-know-you info session turned into a 2 hour hangout session with us feeling like we had a new friend. We booked her for both our engagement shoot and our wedding that night. My husband and I are like most people and definitely weren't sure how we would feel about being photographed, but Jenn made us feel so comfortable at our engagement shoot. We laughed about the awkwardness of the on-demand kisses but had a great time and the photos were even better than we could have anticipated. At our wedding we gave a very basic list of the photos we wanted and left the rest up to her. She got all the posed shots with us, family and the bridal party and they are all lovely, but the best photos are the ones captured throughout the day that weren't set up. She was able to capture all the real moments and emotions as they happened and we are so grateful. She captures all the love and laughter that goes by so quickly throughout the day and we've had such an amazing time going through and reliving those moments through her photos. We could not be happier with the end result and will definitely be booking Jenn in the future for any photography needs. I highly recommend Jenn Tai and will tell anyone I meet that she's the best!

  My husband and I could not be happier that we went with Jenn. We hired her for our engagement photos and wedding for a package deal and she was AWESOME. From the very beginning, she was so prompt with contact, so professional, and we just loved that she was so fun, easy going, and organized. From payments to viewing photos online, it was just so...neat. Everything was high quality. For the photo sessions- we are two very awkward people who don't take pictures well, but Jenn managed to get us to laugh and get more comfortable with being photographed. She even took pics of our dog for our engagement shoot! She coached us and placed us in the right places and she just has such a great eye. As for the photos- wow. She shoots mostly in film I believe and she just captures such a beautiful tone in all the pictures. I love that most of the pictures are not so "posed" but more natural shots just capturing our real smiles and interaction. The colors, lighting, and everything were just SO beautiful. I've shown people some pictures and just about everyone says "Wow, those look so amazing." I am normally very very self conscious about how I look, and the fact that I'm not a skinny bride, but Jenn constantly encouraged me to love myself and embrace all my beauty, and she really did capture me in a way where I love how I look and how my husband and I look together in the photos. She also took photos of the details we often miss as the wedding goes by in a blur. And the wonderful photos of the guests! She took so many great candid photos of everyone who was there. After all this planning for a wedding, it goes by in a flash and all you're left with are photos. We are going to treasure these photos for years and years to come and I will always be thankful for the day we met Jenn.

  Jenn photographed our wedding, and we could not be happier with our choice! I knew Jenn was our girl the first time we met her. She was kind, professional, goofy and really listened to what we wanted. Given that my husband and I both don't like posing for photos, we were nervous about being in front of the camera for an entire day; she made us feel completely at ease. We also felt that she was very well-priced, given her incredible talent.
  
  On the day of, Jenn (with help from her very capable assistant) was fantastic. When it was time for getting ready shots and two of my bridesmaids were nowhere to be found, she rolled with it; she took shots of my husband and came back in time to get pictures of the girls. We told her we hated being distracted by photographers during weddings, and she was like a ninja during our ceremony. At the reception, one of our overly-zealous dancing guests kicked a really tall speaker over and Jenn CAUGHT IT WITH ONE HAND while holding on to the camera with another. It could have been a disaster, but she was so calm about it I don't think anyone even noticed. She was a fabulous part of our wedding, and I was sad to see her go at the end of the night!
  
  The most important thing is the photos, and they are breathtaking. I really never knew I could look so beautiful. She made us look good, but also captured the spirit of the day. Her pictures covered every important little moment and will serve as a reminder of our wedding for years to come. We have already had some shots printed for ourselves and family members. We have also gotten tons of compliments and requests from friends for her info!
  
  Photos are such a huge part of any wedding, and I can't tell you how good it felt to know we were in good hands. We highly, highly, highly recommend Jenn!

  We're not sure where to begin... My husband and I received our wedding photos last night and we are struggling with indecision for a "Thank You" note photo... Jenn is that good.
  
  She works naturally and efficiently. Our family "posed" photos were completed in approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony. She managed to accomplish this with the 14 of us, 5 of which were boys 10 and under who would were more interested in doing anything other than posing for photos!
  
  After the initial posed photos, Jenn disappeared only to reappear with the phenomenal images of our wedding and reception. Our jaws dropped a bit after viewing what she had captured. All of them beautiful, all of them honest.
  
  Her work is art. These photos are "Wall Worthy" and deserve so much more than a frame on a shelf. Her ability to capture light, contrast and not to mention emotion, is beyond words.
  
  It was a privilege to work with Jenn, and we hope to work with her for years to come.
  
  To anyone who is reading this: Rest assured that you will not be disappointed. Jennifer is very down to earth and people of all ages respond to her. Her talent speaks for itself.

  WOW....Jenn is like super woman with cat like moves. I had no idea she could be so many places so fast. We have had Jennifer Tai Photograph our family last summer and then again for our Wedding this last October. She captured every moment in an un posed, natural way that completely caught the moments. She was the eyes to what I missed and THAT is the best gift you could receive.

  WOW....Jenn is like super woman with cat like moves. I had no idea she could be so many places so fast. We have had Jennifer Tai Photograph our family last summer and then again for our Wedding this last October. She captured every moment in an un posed, natural way that completely caught the moments. She was the eyes to what I missed and THAT is the best gift you could receive.

  I wanted to work with Jenn before I even got engaged. I’d heard about her from co-workers and clients, and I loved their photos. When we got engaged, I booked my venue and Jenn in the same day, which was the best& easiest decision.
  
  From the start, working with Jenn was easy and familiar. She spent time getting to know us and made us feel like we were her only clients. When we met in person to shoot engagement pictures, it was like meeting an old friend. My fiancé described the whole experience as relaxing and fun.
  
  Like most couples, our wedding planning had its ups& downs. Throughout all the changes, Jenn was super flexible and a voice of reason. She worked with us to put together a detailed schedule of events too.
  
  When the weekend finally arrived, Jenn took time to get know my bridesmaids, quickly learning names of family members and paying attention to the dynamics. She has a knack for putting everyone at ease, instantly.
  
  The day of the wedding she led us through an epic shoot on the beach. We had a large bridal party and big families, and it was no small feat to coordinate. Similar to the engagement shoot, she gave us gentle instructions, told us how to pose, and put us at ease, never rushed. She made sure we finished in plenty of time to get ready for the ceremony.
  
  She had a second shooter Jess, who was also excellent.
  
  During the ceremony and reception, Jenn and Jess were taking pictures. Every memory was captured beautifully.
  
  After the wedding, we received our pictures online, and then a hand-crafted box arrived with our cd, prints, and little vases for the flowers. WOW. Again with the personal touches! Every picture is a piece of art. Her ability to capture the light, the energy, the mood and the love that surrounded us on our wedding day brings tears to my eyes.
  
  We also ordered a wedding album from her and canvas prints. Such curated touches. I can’t wait to work with her again.
  
  Brides, my only advice is to book Jenn quickly.

Jenn has a terrific ability to take wonderful candid photos that truly capture the moments within the big event. Our first dance, cake cutting, and speeches didn't have any "staged" photo moments, and each one has gorgeous pictures that bring the event's memories back to life. Looking at all the pictures brings back the fun memories of that day! She was a joy to work with and we hope to go back to her for all our big life events that need photos!

  Choosing Jenn as our photographer was, by far, the best decision that we made for our wedding. With as many things as one can stress about before a wedding and shortly there after, do yourself a favor and book Jenn. And you won't have to stress about whether or not you are 'getting the right pictures' The pictures that she took captured so many different moments, in a way I didn't think would translate photographically. There are people who snap picutres, and there is photo artistry. Jenn is an artist. Not only were the pictures amazing, but she is so much fun to work with!! She knew just what to say to lighten the mood, or get my wife and I to giggle at just the right moment. We will never use another photographer for anything our family needs, births, ceremony's, parties, graduations, holiday photos. Jenn has made lifelong clients out of us!! We loved working with her!

  My husband and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and had a destination wedding in Maui this past April (this review is long overdue) and we cannot be any happier with the quality and quick turnaround of our wedding photos! Believe it or not, hiring Jennifer and her team to fly out to Maui to document our rehearsal dinner & 14-hour wedding day was more cost-effective than what other photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area and Maui were charging to document the wedding day alone. Look no further - Jennifer has a passion for art, storytelling, and if you love candid photos as much as my husband and I do, you will love her!
  
  Hiring an awesome photographer is no easy task and it took us at least 3-4 months to interview and find someone we absolutely love. Jennifer is the best and we love that she shoots film & digital as well. I'm all about the small details when it comes to event planning and I was so impressed at how organized and responsive Jennifer was to our needs. She also worked very well with our videographers and event planning team (they scouted locations for photo sessions the day before our wedding day). Jennifer always responded to my emails within an hour and was open to video discussions given that we lived far away from each other. She is also very thoughtful and generous with her "thank you" gifts in the mail.

  Jennifer Tai shot my wedding and we couldn't have possibly had a better experience. From the get go she made me feel very confident and comfortable, very prompt customer service and an all around great person. I think her work sells itself, really. But as an added bonus she has a great sense of humor and was a great personality to wor...k with. You can tell she loves her job and takes a lot of pride in her work.
  
  On my wedding day she showed up an hour earlier than she was scheduled to so she could have more time to take the shots she wanted to get. We had a bunch of outdoor photos planned, it being August and all, but we ended up with non-stop rain. She worked through it like a pro and took great photos in places inside the house that I would have never thought would be a good place for a photo, and they turned out great.   Would Not Recommend

  We were referred to Jenn Tai by our wedding planners. We spent $4,410 for 6 hours of wedding day coverage with 1 photographer. Our photographer was Kelly Bowie.
  
  From the moment Kelly arrived at our wedding it felt like amateur hour. Even though we met with her in advance of our wedding and sent all the details in writing, she “forgot” pretty much everything we discussed. For example, Kelly forgot to bring the list of family groupings for the family photos. Kelly also forgot that we needed seating for disability accommodations during the family photos and chose a location that required our elderly and disabled guests to walk down a hill and then stand outside in the August heat for almost an hour with no place to sit. Additionally, during the ceremony Kelly’s presence was very distracting. We were in a small greenhouse with multiple entrances where she could have easily walked around the guests to get from one point to another but instead she walked down the aisle and in front of our guests multiple times during the ceremony.
  
  If it’s possible, when we received the photos we were even more disappointed in Jenn Tai Photography. There was a real lack of attention to detail that was visible in the photos and that you expect a professional photographer to be aware of. For example, in several of the photos you can see phones visible in pockets, hand sanitizer clipped to belts, etc. Also, some of the key photos were overexposed and as a result faces or images were so light that detail was lost.
  
  We brought a lot of these issues to the attention of the company owner, Jenn, who did her best to address our concerns during post-production editing. Jenn’s customer service was great and we know that she worked hard to try to correct the issues with our photos. Thank you, Jenn, for doing your best to fix our photos. Overall, we’re still not happy with most of our wedding photos, but thanks primarily to Jenn’s post-production work we have a small percentage of wedding photos that we love and will cherish.

  I'd hoped we had resolved your concerns shared previously in our earlier conversations. I’m surprised and wasn't aware you were unhappy with the exposure of some photos—this comes down to a stylistic preference, really, and we’d be happy to look at those further.
  
  As I’m sure you know, negative online reviews can impact a small business in long-lasting ways, which was why I appreciated your bringing your concerns to me privately over email initially. We worked hard to address those concerns (thank you for the acknowledgment) but it seems we still have fallen short. For that, I apologize and hope you will afford us the opportunity to make it right.
