Jamie is a phenomenal photographer, artist, and overall ray of sunshine of a human being. She photographed our wedding at Carolina Grove & welcome toast at Carolina Theatre, and we’ll treasure her gorgeous photos forever. They so perfectly captured our love story, the magic of being surrounded by our closest friends & family, and the natural beauty of the surroundings & day.
She is a master of her craft…her photos are filled with vibrant light, colors, love and serendipitous moments. She captures photos on both film & digital, so that you can have both that exquisite textural quality of film, and the wide breadth of photos from all corners that she captures on digital. We can think of no higher compliment than she bottled up the essence of what it felt like to be there on our favorite day.
Jamie and her team (shout out to Sarah & Annah) approached photographing our wedding with so much kindness and sparkling energy, and captured the best moments from all angles and some surprise shots that were better than we could have ever planned. Some examples: She captured us walking back up the aisle together, with our moms on either side smiling on (our new all-time favorite photo), and she even thought to bring props from our welcome toast event to use in lay-down detail photos captured on wedding morning.
She was the ultimate combination of creativity & preparation: coming in with an efficient shot list for family photos, scoping out the venue ahead of time to find the best framing & light, meeting with us for coffee months ahead to get to know us and our love story, and giving us the most beautiful collection of photos in record time. As if that wasn’t enough, she surprised us with a custom wooden box with beautiful prints of our collection that will be our forever wedding keepsake.
We’re so beyond grateful to Jamie for these photos, being such a joy to have by our side on our wedding day, and finding a new friend and creative kindred soul in the process. -

100% stop looking and work with Jamie - she is absolutely amazing! On your wedding day, you spend A LOT of time with your photographer and you need to choose somebody who is not only competent but will help make your day better by guiding you through it with kindness. Above all, Jamie was focused on encouraging us to be present and enjoy the moment, rather than worry about logistics, vendors, or guests. Jamie actively helped us enjoy our day and capture that joy beautifully. Her photos are gorgeous, and she captured the candid moments so beautifully. She put us at ease immediately and was a pleasure to work with. Highly highly recommend. -

From the initial phone call, Jamie was so kind and professional and we felt confident having her capture our special day for us. On the day of, a huge storm came out of nowhere which threw off our timeline slightly. Jamie was the calming presence I needed in those moments and was SO positive. She truly made me feel and know that everything was going to be okay! She kept our timeline moving to get all of the shots we wanted while still allowing us to enjoy our day. She made us both feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we could just be ourselves while she captured it all. Jamie is extremely talented and is such an artist. I look at our wedding photos in disbelief that they are actual ours that we get to cherish forever--not to mention, we get SO many compliments on them! You undoubtedly spend the most time with your photographer out of any other vendor on your wedding day, and we would choose Jamie again in a heartbeat! -

With the photographer being, in my opinion, the biggest decision you make on your wedding day, LOOK NO FURTHER!!!
Jamie is truly exceptional and in a league of her own. Her photographs authentically capture the beautiful moments of your big day. She makes you feel comfortable in a staged photo,while allowing space for genuine sweet moments to happen as well. Not only are the photos unbelievable, but Jamie is truly so fun and easy to be around. From the moment we first met at our engagement photos, she made my husband and I feel so calm and relaxed.
One of the best things about working with Jamie is she makes you feel like you are her only bride! You can feel that she genuinely wants to get to know you and capture your day in a way that reflects the unique nature of you as a couple. She is also incredibly responsive and worked so well with our planner to make sure she captured every single photo we were looking for.
It was so wonderful walking away from our wedding feeling like we found the photographer that we will use for a lifetime.
Your wedding photos are something you hope to cherish forever. Trust me when I say, without a doubt, that Jamie will EXCEED all of your hopes and dreams! -

A 5-Star Rating Scale Does Not Do Jamie Vinson Justice!
Five stars is simply not enough to convey how excellent Jamie truly is. I met Jamie nearly two years before my eventual wedding date. At that time, I did not imagine my wedding would be postponed due to a pandemic. Although this unwelcome turn of events threw much of the wedding planning process off-kilter, Jamie's commitment to my wedding was steadfast. She was flexible and remained enthusiastic about the event at every turn. Jamie has a way of making you feel incredibly special, not just on your wedding day but during all exchanges, no matter how brief. She was responsive to emails and provided a very detailed timeline of all planned photos. On the wedding day, Jamie and her assistants were kind, friendly, and professional. They made me, my husband, and all our friends and family members feel comfortable in front of the lens. And perhaps most impressive, they somehow managed to make themselves nearly invisible, while capturing every memorable moment from the day. Pure magic! Book Jamie and her team now! -

You will not be disappointed!
I could have copied and pasted my Google review, but I wanted to rewrite something - that’s how strongly I feel about Jamie Vinson and her team!
Jamie captured our wedding day so perfectly. You can FEEL the emotions in the photos. As everyone says, the big day goes by so fast. Getting my photos back from Jamie, I got to relive our wedding day over and over again. (I have not gone a day without scrolling through!)
I cannot say enough great things about Jamie! Photography was at the top of my list for vendors, and we could not be happier. You will not be disappointed if you choose Jamie Vinson Photography. -

Hiring Jamie to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we ever made! She brought such a great energy to the day and put us at ease. Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with Jamie. From the moment Bryce and I met her for our engagement photos, she made you feel like you have known each other forever. She photographed one of our best friends' weddings, so we knew she took amazing wedding photos, but what you could never truly understand until your wedding day is how much of a calming and encouraging presence she is. That is something you absolutely need out of a photographer for your wedding day.
She encouraged me and told me how beautiful I looked, which makes a girl feel good and it helps you look/feel more confident for photos. Which definitely translated! She was like a fly on the wall and got all of the perfect candid photos, as well as all of the "staged" photos. She made those look natural.
Jamie knows her clients well, and knows how to get exactly what you're looking for. If you want low-key, she'll give you low-key. If you want a party, she'll give you a party. I could go on and on about her, but I'll finish with this... out of the almost 1,000 photos we got all together, I have no idea how I will choose which ones to print. -

Great photographer, amazing experience!!
Jamie was great from meeting to discuss the wedding to the big day and finally looking at all the great pictures after. When taking pictures with Jamie we never felt awkward or uncomfortable - she does a great job at capturing natural moments. Jamie worked very quickly and professionally to keep the day moving smoothly. The pictures turned out amazing and we had so much fun going through them to see everything from our special day. We are constantly receiving compliments of our wedding photos from friends and family! -

I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Jamie. We met beforehand for coffee and had the best time getting to know each other. Our email and phone conversations were all productive and she is an excellent communicator; quick to respond and always helpful, not to mention incredibly sweet. Jamie and her assistant Erin were so efficient day-of. They were able to capture every moment in a beautiful way but you didn't even notice they were there. We received ALL of our pictures in TWO WEEKS and loved every single one. We were beyond impressed by Jamie - highly recommend. -

Stunning Photos, Absolute Joy to Work With
I have had the privilege of working with Jamie as both the DAUGHTER of the bride, AND the MOTHER of the bride. My mother, aged 78, married in a intimate ceremony in February 2018 at the O'Henry Hotel in Greensboro, and my daughter, aged 24, got married in a large church ceremony the following December, with a reception at the Cadillac Service Garage. In both situations, the venues, guests and ceremonies were quite different, but the photographs for each were nothing short of stunning. Having beautiful photographs with which to remember these sacred, joyous occasions was extremely important to me, and I honestly could not have been happier with the results in both cases. Not only is the final product absolutely gorgeous, but Jamie is a true delight to work with. She is extremely well organized, and an excellent communicator, doing lots of advance planning so that she knows exactly what the bride and her family want, and therefore can swiftly and seamlessly execute those photos on the big day. But she is also very adept at capturing the spontaneous moments, such as my mother's 83-year-old groom weeping as he said his vows, or the bride throwing back her head and laughing as she dances with her friends at the reception. A woman of small stature, Jamie is a tiny photo ninja, everywhere at once, capturing every important moment, and yet I never noticed her presence at the time. She is incredibly calm, and positive, and encouraging, extremely important qualities for anyone involved in a high-stress, high-stakes event like a wedding. And the woman is simply a wizard at photography. My daughter's wedding day was warm and sunny, and the pictures of the bridal party outdoors on the patio of the Cadillac Service Garage are stunning. My mother's wedding day was cold, dark and rainy, and the interior of the O'Henry is not exactly bright to begin with, but damn if those photos don't look as if they are drenched in soft, natural sunlight. I don't know how she did it. I have very high expectations, and Jamie Vinson exceeded every one on every level. I cannot recommend her more highly.Jamie Vinson Photography's reply:

I especially appreciated how she was a bit of a "ninja" because she was able to capture the small, personal moments without being obtrusive to them. She also wrangled my enormous family (including 6 flower girls and 2 ring bearers) with ease and joy. We are so happy to have hired Jamie to photograph our wedding day and we highly recommend her!

Lillie Sent on 12/17/2017Jamie was so amazing! We actually had another photographer and after our engagement pictures we realized it wasn’t a good fit. I was very stressed about finding a great photographer, but Jamie’s pictures were so breath taking that it took away all of my concerns! She made us so comfortable- she directed us (which is what we needed) but was so kind, energetic and patient. She always got back to me very quickly. I will use jamie for any photography needs that come my way! Truly the best!!

A true artist
Jamie was the most phenomenal photographer. My husband and I were looking for someone who specifically uses film photography, and could not have been more happy with her work.
Jamie is an artist. While others can capture the first kiss and the vows, she managed to capture the tiny little details that would have been forgotten after the day had come and gone. All of her photos weave a beautiful story of our day and each time I look back at them I get brought to tears. The small loving gestures he made, she got it, the joy everyone was experiencing, she got it, the 2 honking geese that flew over us, she got them!
We chose to forgo a videographer and instead invest our money in Jamie, and she is totally worth it. Don't let the price tag scare you because Jamie will find a way to make sure you get what you need, or she will point you in the right direction. At the end of the day we wanted to spend the most on the photography since it is the one thing that will last a lifetime and longer.
She was great at blending into the scene and we never felt like we had someone taking bright flashes in our faces or ruining someone else's view.
Hire her, give her a hug, enjoy everything she has to offer!
