We held our rehearsal dinner, welcome party and wedding brunch at the Interlaken. It is a beautiful setting that can hold a large amount of guests. The team was great to work with, and they have various packages to choose from to fit your requirements. Our guests loved the location and all the activities on property. Having everyone in one place made it super convenient for our guests. We'd recommend working with the Interlaken team! -

From start to finish, we had an incredible experience hosting our August 2024 wedding at the Interlaken. Susan, our wedding planner, was such a delight to work with and was so helpful when I sent her an endless number of emails with questions about the details of the day. I really appreciated how she thoughtfully incorporated all the little details we wanted to include to personalize it to us. However, what truly made this venue stand out was their grace and professionalism during the wedding weekend. Firstly, having the wedding parties and families stay at townhouses at the site made the entire weekend run so much more smoothly with no need for shuttling people. I also highly recommend adding their night-before bonfire to your wedding package, it's a very fun way to kick off the weekend! Through no fault of the Interlaken, there were a few incidents that could have caused chaos but the Interlaken was able to manage them expertly. The ceremony was meant to be outside on the lake but due to rain, we had to move it inside but, as this venue has a back- up ceremony space inside, the ceremony was still breathtakingly beautiful. And just as the ceremony was supposed to occur, one of the guests had a medical crisis and the ceremony needed to be delayed by 15 minutes. But as the Bride, I had no idea that there was even a crisis until after I walked down the aisle. It is so obvious that Interlaken is masterful at hosting weddings due to the number of weddings that are hosted there year after year. They have the process down to a science. Our guest needed to be removed from the site by ambulance but the situation was handled with such grace and efficiency, it did not deter from the day at all.
Even at the reception, as the wedding party and couple walk-in was delayed because of an issue with one of my bridesmaid's dresses, Susan came in clutch with a large safety pin to save the day. The reception itself was so beautifully decorated and everyone had a wonderful time. We also greatly enjoyed having Woodside as our bridal suite. It was such a magical and grandiose space and of course, it was wonderful to take a soak in the jacuzzi after our long wedding day! The entire wedding weekend itself was truly a dream come true and I cannot recommend this venue enough to other engaged couples. -

We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest appreciation to Interlaken Inn and our wonderful coordinator, Susan. Susan jumped right in last minute and blew it put of the park! Everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to fully be in the moment, from the weekend start to end without worry. Susan streamlined our vendor arrivals, setup all the details and made our dream wedding truly a reality, and we will be forever grateful. She even made sure our vision of creating the hydration station on our vintage truck's tail gate was executed at the ceremony by the lake. It was phenomenal and, no doubt, a testament to her meticulous attention to detail. Her calm, cool and collected demeanor was exactly what we needed throughout the day.
Interlaken Inn is the perfect spot for a dream wedding, from the amazing food, beautiful setting and friendly staff, it was everything and more. We couldn't have imagined navigating the whole thing without our coordinators guidance, direction and dedication. We started our weekend with a lovely rehearsal dinner, and bonfire with smores, followed by our stunning wedding day by the lake and in the tent and ended with an amazing after party where everyone wore wigs! Our families and friends are still talking about how much they loved the location, the food and the fun they had! -

We loved our experience at the Interlaken Inn this past September. This was the only wedding venue we looked at and we booked it immediately on the spot. From the lake, to having your guests onsite, the beautiful tent -- they know how to do a wedding and it's very clear it's what they are good at.
Susan was our coordinator after our original coordinator unfortunately was no longer able to work with us for personal reasons. Susan picked our wedding right up while juggling many others. It's a lot to plan but very worth it. Highly recommend having the rehearsal dinner, bonfire and day after brunch experience! It was such a beautiful weekend and if there were any hiccups, they were extremely minor and not felt by us (bride & groom) or guests. We felt cared for--many small details such as bringing us a plate of our appetizers to the suite so we didn't have to worry about eating anything during the cocktail hour, bringing our wedding cake pieces to our so we could enjoy it later after the wedding, bringing us (b&g) drinks on the dance floor all night-- they make it so easy for you to relax and enjoy your weekend. Susan was AMAZING but the whole staff deserve lots of kudos. We can't wait to go back on our anniversaries and relive the best night of our lives. OK I'm getting teary writing this now, so gotta stop. If they have an open weekend -- book it, you will not regret it!

We had our daughters wedding at the Interlaken Inn in October and everything was absolutely perfect! The staff was so polite and accommodating, even our guests remarked how lovely they were! The food was delicious and plentiful and served just as we requested it. Each event we had throughout the weekend came to life by the staffs hands and was just as we had hoped. Our Coordinator, @Sarah Rudzavice, was so incredibly helpful and we truly got the impression she cared that everything went perfectly, and if it didn't, we didn't know a thing about it! During the entire planning phase, every single person at the Inn was so accommodating and genuinely concerned to make our daughter and her fiancee's day so special. I would 100% recommend having your event at the Interlaken Inn - you won't be disappointed and you'll be so happy with the results! -

We had the best wedding day we could have imagined thanks to the amazing team at the Interlaken Inn. Our coordinator Susan was organized, professional, and so easy to work with. From our first planning meeting we felt so reassured that no detail was overlooked. Every member of the team was exceptional. From the maitre d Janette, who took such excellent care of us during the reception, to Brittany who drove the golf cart and worked the dinner service, to the bartenders and all the other staff- the service was top notch. We had multiple guests mention how impressed they were with the service throughout our wedding. Every event, starting with the welcome bonfire and ending with the farewell brunch, was seamless. Interlaken Inn is a venue that prioritizes the couple's experience and does their absolute best to make the wedding day unique to the couple. There was nothing we asked for that was a "no". Having all events on property added to the ease of the weekend and guests raved about the accommodations and the convenience. The lakeside ceremony site is stunning and there are so many other beautiful parts of the property for pictures. If we had to do it all again, we would choose Interlaken Inn again in a heartbeat. -

An amazing venue to host a Fairytale Wedding
We instantly fell in love with the Interlaken Inn for our wedding, having visited on our first dating anniversary in 2019. After reaching out to their wedding team on our way home from our engagement, Jodie promptly assisted us in finalizing contract details and establishing a payment plan for the Grand Winter Wedding package scheduled for December 2023. Susan, one of the resort's wedding coordinators, made the planning process seamless in two 2-hour meetings and a few phone calls, displaying unparalleled attentiveness and responsiveness. In summary, our review emphasizes the excellent staff, delectable food options, and the venue's good fit for a fairytale wedding. The detailed review covers three key aspects: Food and Catering, Hotel Stay and Event Space, and Staff Service. Starting with Food, the chef at Interlaken, who also oversees Morgan’s restaurant, delighted our guests with perfectly cooked steak, savory cheese and prosciutto stuffed chicken, and silky-smooth butternut squash ravioli. The catering staff efficiently handled dietary restrictions, ensuring quick and satisfying service that left our guests highly pleased. Second, the Interlaken Inn is a charming resort nestled in between two lakes in the hills of Lakeville, CT. The hotel has undergone amazing renovations since we first visited in 2019 making it a stylish and cozy resort in 2023. They renovated their gym, and then even built a movie theatre that plays movies twice a day. Guests will have plenty to do while they wait for the couple’s ceremony. Even though our wedding was during the winter, when most of the outdoor activities like the pool were closed, our guests still enjoyed the small-town charm of the nearby village of Millerton, NY. Most of the guest rooms in the main building have comfortable walk-in showers and a nice outdoor porch to relax in the fresh air. The pet-friendly rooms are also very welcoming for the whole family and furry friends. This hotel is extremely dog-friendly so all members of the family can enjoy weddings. The reception venue is a wonderful hybrid indoor-outdoor space with a tent that allows for great flexibility in decorations and table arrangements. In the winter the heaters that are installed in the tent keep it perfectly warm, sometimes a little too warm if the party gets a little wild. Lastly, our honeymoon suite was the perfect getaway to relax after the wedding, the hot tub providing a soothing soak after a long day. Finally, staff service at Interlaken stands out, with our coordinator Susan acting as our fairy godmother, ensuring we got our fairytale happily ever after. Notably, Isaiah at the front desk displayed exceptional hospitality, treating guests like VIPs and even so far solving a small wedding day crisis with the groom’s room. The overall friendliness and hospitality of the entire staff left a lasting impression on our guests. In terms of wedding logistics, Interlaken Inn impressed us with transparent pricing, easily accessible on their website as of December 2023, which is something most wedding venues try to hide and obscure. Throughout our whole wedding, the staff's approach was focused on meeting our needs rather than the stereotypical vendor pushiness. Simply put, we could not be happier and if we could get married again, we would 100% pick the Interlaken Inn. -

I had my wedding at Interlaken and it was absolutely magical. The service they provided was totally above and beyond; Victoria and Vanessa seriously made magic happen. I am so thankful to them and all of their hard work and attention to detail. It was the perfect venue for a late summer wedding and I'll never forget how special and lovely it was. Best weekend ever. -

How lucky are we to have been able to plan our wedding with the team at Interlaken? From start to finish, everyone we worked with was thoughtful and kind, and we knew we were in great hands with a team that seemed to have a plan for everything.
Working with Vanessa was incredible: as we planned out the weekend together, she went above and beyond to incorporate our requests to work certain family and cultural elements into our celebration, and even in the midst of all the logistics, she managed to make everything feel organized and simple. Their team connected us with some of the most wonderful vendors for our wedding cake, DJ, and flowers.
We got unlucky with the weather on our wedding day, but we were blown away by how ready the Interlaken team was to make the day still feel just as special. They were troubleshooting wizards helping us get everything moved for a covered ceremony, and made the "plan B" space feel stunning, like it had always been the plan.
We're so grateful to the chef and the kitchen team, who wowed everyone with incredible food, to Abby and Winston and Jodi and everyone on the staff who was so kind to us on every visit and over the entire weekend. It felt very lucky to get to discover such a special place and then invite our family and loved ones there to celebrate with us. -

Excellent!
Getting married at the Interlaken was a magical experience. My husband and I fell in love with this venue the first time we toured it, everyone is beyond friendly and accommodating. Our wedding weekend went on without a hitch thanks to Susan, Victoria and all the Interlaken staff. My husband and I have never felt so special, they go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. They are extremely flexible, they helped me set up all of my decor beautifully and I didn’t have to worry about a thing that weekend. From incredible views to incredible people, I can’t rave about this venue enough. We are so grateful! -

I cannot say enough about how happy I was with my wedding experience with Interlaken Inn. From the day we first visited the venue to now I have felt comfortable and at home here. Michelle showed my husband and I the venue, and even went out of her way a few weeks later to give us another tour with our families prior to our decision to book.
After booking, we felt extremely supported by Interlaken Inn and their staff, especially Vanessa who worked and coordinated directly with us throughout our planning process.
Every detail was sorted out and handled prior to the start of the wedding weekend, and once the weekend started I was able to fully let go and trust that Vanessa would handle everything, and she did not disappoint.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, If you're looking for a lakefront ceremony this is the perfect place. I loved the convenience of having all the events here- rehearsal dinner, bonfire, ceremony, reception, after party and next day brunch. Our family and friends were able to stay at the Inn and easily attend all these events, which created a sort of local destination wedding vibe for us.
I cannot recommend Interlaken Inn enough and I wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding there. -

The best weekend we could have asked for! 🌿
We could not have asked for a better experience. We feel so grateful we found the Interlaken … and Vanessa! We knew we wanted to have a wedding weekend that allowed all of our guests to stay on site and not worry about transportation, and the Interlaken could not have been more perfect. Vanessa and everybody that we worked with at the venue made us feel comfortable, supported and heard. I went into the wedding weekend with some creative ideas and Vanessa and her team made it come to life. I couldn’t not more highly recommend this venue. -

The Interlaken Inn is one of the most beautiful wedding venues we've ever been to. As soon as we stepped foot onto the property, we knew we wanted to get married there. The foliage is unbelievable during the fall months, especially in October. Having the ceremony on the lake was a nature couple's dream. Definitely include the golf cart as your transportation to and from the ceremony, that was a big hit, plus it makes for great couples photos.
If you're lucky enough to have your rehearsal dinner at the property, take them up on the bonfire option. The bonfire is located across the street by the lake. We had smores and provided blankets from Amazon for our guests. So many people told us that it was a perfect way to start the wedding weekend.
The food at the Interlaken is absolutely incredible. We chose the global buffet and it exceeded our expectations. I cannot even tell you how many positive comments we received just about the food alone.
We were able to fit 180 people comfortably within the space with an easy transition into the after-party behind the barn doors. The after-party provided our guests with so many games and lots of space to relax on the couches and keep the party going.
The venue is dog friendly, which is a huge plus! We had our dog in the wedding and she was also involved in the rehearsal dinner and reception. There are dog-friendly rooms to book, but the penthouse suite is not dog friendly, so if you do have a dog you will need to have your dog stay with someone else if you are booked in the penthouse. The penthouse suite is one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. The bathroom is massive with the best tub and walk-in shower. There is a fireplace in the bedroom/living area. There is also a large deck/porch that includes tables, chairs, a wooden swing, and a hot tub!
My parents rented the Basha Cottage, which came in clutch for the bridal party. The bridesmaids were able to get ready there while the groomsmen got ready in the penthouse. The Basha Cottage comes with a full kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. There is also a hot tub on the side deck.
We cannot thank the staff enough for all of their hard work, constant communication via emails, and for helping make our special day absolutely perfect. Susan is the wedding coordinator we had and she made our wedding magical. We highly recommend her!! Susan, Victoria, Jodie, and Michelle are an unbelievable bunch. Book your wedding at the Interlaken Inn, you will not be disappointed. -

The most magical weekend
This review is long overdue but my husband and I were just reminiscing about our wedding weekend and how incredible it truly was. We got married 10/9/2021 at the Interlaken Inn The Interlaken Inn is the perfect wedding venue if you are looking for something unique, beautiful, and all-inclusive. Most of our 160 guests stayed at the Inn from Friday-Sunday and it was complete magic. From the day we toured the venue in October 2019 and met the staff, we knew it was the place for us. I still remember this day like it was yesterday. Michelle toured us around the grounds, including the beautiful lakeside ceremony, the grounds for the cocktail hour, and the gorgeous draped tent. I had looked at other tented venues that I did not book. Nothing compared to the Interlaken Inn with the permanent bathrooms, gorgeous drapery, and the well-kept grounds. We originally booked our wedding for October 2020. When covid hit, it was such a stressful time. Michelle and the entire Interlaken staff were SO easy to work with and allowed us to move our wedding out a year with ease. I heard so many nightmare stories about venues during covid and I could not have been more grateful. For the actual wedding planning, we worked with Vanessa leading up to the event and she was a dream to work with. Every request was granted with ease and she was SO organized that I felt extremely comfortable that everything would run smoothly the weekend of our wedding, and it did! Starting off Friday night with the welcome BBQ (we had over 100 guests there). Everyone is still raving about the food and the bonfire afterwards. Saturday, our guests loved roaming around the grounds, exploring the town of Millerton, and much more. The night of our wedding was absolutely perfect. Vanessa made sure that every sign, decoration, and person was in the right place at the right time. She even made sure my change of shoes was waiting at my chair and that my heels made it back to my room before I did! The food was amazing and everyone danced the night away. We ended the weekend with a Sunday Brunch. While I was so sad that the weekend was over, I felt a sense of relief and calmness that Sunday knowing that everything was as perfect as I could have ever imagine. I could go on and on about how perfect our wedding weekend was, but just know that you will not be disappointed if you book your wedding at the Interlaken Inn. It is a small, non-corporate, family business and they truly want your wedding to be perfect for you. -

Words can not fully describe how truly EPIC our wedding weekend was. It seems to be the only word we use to describe the weekend, as well as ALL of our guests. HUGE shout out to the entire Interlaken Wedding Team, but very special thanks to our amazing coordinator Susan.
A little background on us… We had been together for years before getting engaged in 2017. We booked Interlaken Inn in 2019 as our wedding venue after considering many destination options including KEY WEST, Florida. We chose Interlaken for its all-inclusive feel in which we could use the grounds/accommodations for all sorts of events the entire weekend including rehearsal dinner, bonfire, after-party, and farewell breakfast. We also loved that all amenities were within walking distance of the hotel (the pool, the lake, the reception, etc). No need for school buses or other transportation rentals here. We scheduled our wedding for August 2021, however soon anticipated early on in the pandemic that we would push our date out even farther. Interlaken was extremely accommodating with this request, and went above and beyond for us even after they changed their prices. Therefore, our new date was rescheduled to August 2022 (5 years after our engagement; 3 years after our original booking).
I (the bride) was very detail oriented while planning our wedding. I wanted to create an epic (there’s that word again) party that no one would ever forget; dripping with flowers, laughter, and carefully curated moments. All these wants/needs were recreated by Susan and her team which ended up being more than I very specifically imagined. Interlaken in conjunction with our other vendors made our weekend quite honestly the best time of our and many other lives. Shout out to Country Gardeners Florist (Millerton, NY), Handyboys LLC. (Millerton, NY), Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream (Canton, CT), Esskay Four Photo Booth (Stratford, CT), Pastry Garden (Poughkeepsie, NY), Conte Sound Productions (Smithfield, RI), and The Beauty Studio (Ludlow, MA). Please ensure you read my reviews on each of these vendors. I love them all.
We stayed at the Basha Cottage which was absolutely perfect. It was a secluded enough space to accommodate our closest family and friends all weekend, who were always hanging out with us even during hair and makeup. At times, I swear we had 35+ people just hanging out around us at the cottage. The decor, the bedding, the bathrooms were clean, updated, and trendy. If we needed anything at any time during our weekend, a staff member was happily available to walk over to the cottage to deliver it.
The ceremony site by the lake was perfect and picturesque. Susan and Barb helped execute the ceremony wonderfully, including Barb transporting all guests down to the lake and holding my dress for me as I walked toward the aisle. The garden cocktail area was lovely and intimate. The reception was so much fun. Sam, Barb, and Susan took care of us and ensured we always had what we needed. The staff managed a private medical issue “behind the scenes” we were not even aware of until later in the evening when another guest told us. That’s how good they are. There was always someone there to help execute the plan such as someone to take a card from me or usher me into a back room for a dress change. And then there was the after party which was beyond EPIC (see, that word again). We had a surplus of props and an unbelievable AV set up by Handyboys LLC. The food was fantastic including the rehearsal dinner and farewell breakfast. The bartenders were amazing. Thank you SO much to the bartenders for keeping up with our party crowd and making those awesome signature paloma cocktails.
Our wedding was arguably the best wedding most of our guests have ever been to including ourselves. Truly epic, unique, tasteful, elegant, fun, and memorable. We cannot thank Interlaken Inn enough for their wonderful services and staff. We were a very high energy crowd and they kept up with us every step of the way and made us all feel extremely special and important. THANK YOU FOREVER. WE LOVE YOU.

My daughter and now son-in-law were married at Interlaken on July 16th. It was a weekend event of approximately 150 guests. I can't praise the staff - shout out to Vanessa and Victoria for their outstanding and first-rate service. They were more than anyone could ask for. They went above and beyond the call of duty in our preparation for the wedding. The venue is in this amazing setting. Our daughter's wedding on the lake with the mountains in the background was breathtaking. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. We explore many other venues and this one by FAR is head and shoulders above the others. Again, the personal touch went a long way. By the time of the wedding, I felt Victoria and Vanessa were dear friends. I will also love Interlaken and would love to return just as a vacation since I love the area. -

We had our wedding weekend at Interlaken Inn. What a great venue ! The staff was exceptional. They were accommodating and are extremely detail oriented. My husband and I stayed in the Penthouse Suite, which was amazing. It was the perfect location to get ready with my girls the morning of the wedding. My parents and grandparents stayed in the Basha cottage, which had a perfect sized kitchen and a hot tub on the deck. Our wedding party stayed in the Sunnyside House. They have a huge wrap around deck, where we all hung out the night before the wedding. All of the rooms are within walking distance of each other. Our rehearsal dinner was outside in the garden where we had a farm to table dinner. The atmosphere was stunning and the food was excellent ! The ceremony on the lake was beautiful! Our wedding was perfection ! The staff went above and beyond our expectations ! -

So, my daughter and son-in-law were married during Hurricane Henri, which was headed straight toward Lakeville, CT! The wedding went off...outside... without a hitch! Absolutely wonderful staff, incredibly kind and accomodating. The night before the wedding, the 30 and under crowd went down to the lake and went canoeing on their very beautiful (very romantic) lake. There is plenty to do on site, rain or shine. FOOD WAS FABULOUS! Also, we don't live in the area and needed to rely on their recommendations for additional vendors for a cake, flowers, hair, etc. All of their recommended vendors were awesome. Had such a great time, we plan on making the Interlaken a yearly getaway. Thank you to all at Interlaken!! -

The Interlaken brought our vision to life and made it SO easy to plan a wedding from hundreds of miles away. Vanessa checked in with us beforehand to make sure we were on schedule and always reminding us of what was coming next and how to be sure we were staying on time with different milestones. Our tasting was fabulous and the food was one of the many highlights of the wedding. With an open bar (liquor included) our guests could enjoy a wide variety of cocktails including our specialty cocktail at no additional cost to them (some venues only have beer/wine open bar or have a very limited liquor offering for their open bar). The lake was magical - there are so many places for photos, and plenty of great photographers that know the venue. Likewise with florists - I highly recommend working with vendors on the recommended list, though you are not limited to them! The ceremony area is a short walk from the Inn but a golf cart is also available for guests with mobility issues as well as the bridal party! Barb was my driver and she was FANTASTIC. We will always remember Barb as part of our day and hope to make a trip back to thank her for everything she did for us. Every space we used was beautiful and we felt like royalty on campus - the staff knew who we were by face and name and made sure we wanted for nothing. Our guests enjoyed the many offerings on the campus before and after the wedding and we were so happy that everyone who came had the chance to have their own get-away. Many of our guests changed profile photos on social media to photos from our wedding because the spaces were so beautiful. I keep bobbing around to different topics, and hopefully this review doesn't seem disorganized but this is in part because the Interlaken made every part of our day exactly what we were hoping for and there are so many features and topics that I could go on and on about that I'm not sure where to start and stop. Although we went to see other venues after our first visit at the Interlaken, I think it's safe to say that had us at the personal touches they included at our very first visit to see the venue and the most delicious oven-warmed cookies and Harney tea they served as we took a moment to look through their paperwork while we were on the premises. Having attended and been a part of weddings at other, similar venues, if I could go back, I would go back to the Interlaken for our day every time. -

Our wedding at the Interlaken Inn in June 2021 was absolutely unforgettable, and we are so grateful to the incredible team at the Inn that made such a perfect experience possible. Our coordinator Vanessa is so kind and thoughtful, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dream wedding became a reality. Her patience, organization, and attention to detail was a lifesaver time and time again throughout the planning process, and she was always just an email, text, or phone call away. From coordinating vendors the day of, to handling last minute changes, and setting up all of our ceremony and reception details, she truly did it all. We cannot say enough kind words about her and know that without her efforts, none of this would have been possible! In terms of the venue itself, we knew the moment we set foot on the property back in the fall of 2019 that we had found our dream location. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a gorgeous garden beside an airy and welcoming reception tent. We knew that we wanted a venue where all guests could stay on site without the hassle of transportation, and the Inn offers the perfect set up with a variety of room set ups across the property. Our entire bridal party was able to stay in the Sunnyside House, a beautifully preserved Victorian bed and breakfast, and the original Inn building. We stayed in the newly renovated penthouse suite, complete with a rooftop terrace and hot tub. The penthouse is spacious and has beautiful natural lighting, which makes it perfect for getting ready on site the day of the wedding. The lakeside ceremony area adds spectacular views of the area surrounding the Inn, and the peace and relaxation that can be found in Litchfield County is second to none. We took full advantage of the lakeside area, from canoe excursions and swimming to a rehearsal dinner and welcome bonfire on the shore of Lake Wononscopomuc. The Interlaken Inn’s location is so perfect, with proximity to the Berkshires, breathtaking views on Appalachian trails, and of course the charm of towns like Kent, Millerton, and so many more only a short drive away. We truly cannot say enough kind words about the Interlaken Inn and the amazing group of people who work there- we are so lucky to have had their support to make our big day possible!

ZERO stress!
Our original date was 11/07/2020, and I’ve heard horror stories of what other couples went through last year, but I can honestly say we had ZERO stress because of the staff at Interlaken Inn! They were BEYOND flexible and willing to customize our wedding however we wanted, which makes this venue stand apart from the rest! Covid or not, there are so many GORGEOUS and FUN options to go large or small, from a 1 day to a full wedding weekend! After going over all the MANY options we ultimately we changed our date to April 17, 2021 and kept our original plan to do a full weekend there! Friday night was our Welcome Party which was supposed to be outside with a bonfire by the lake and pizza truck, but the day of it snowed and was FREEZING! No problem! Our coordinator Jodie (our HERO) gave us several great options to move the party inside and I have to say it was probably better than the original plan! The pizza truck set up outside the Vinyard Room (which has a patio for anyone that still wanted to be outside) and brought the pizza to us! THEN they set up a gas fire pit next to the atrium outside so we could still have our s’mores, and also hang out the game room until late into the night! They provided all the alcohol too which was so convenient! The day of the wedding was so perfect, they were especially helpful in the morning getting extra chairs and random things for getting ready in the Penthouse suite! The ceremony on the lake was a DREAM, despite the cold, and they provided a golf cart limo for those who don’t want to make the walk down the hill and back! Another thing that stands this venue apart is the simple beauty of the tent, it doesn’t need to be dressed up and has the perfect atmosphere for any theme, which makes decorating EASY! Jodie and Juan went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, from brining us drinks and food while we were taking pictures, to reminding us to eat so our food wouldn’t get cold. AND THE FOOD! It came out HOT and was absolutely DELICIOUS! No worries there! The After Party until 1am was an amazing touch that not many places offer, who wants to end the party at 10pm? Not us! We ended the perfect weekend with a Farewell Brunch, with was again, DELICIOUS! Complete with bloody Mary’s and mimosas! They certainly know how to throw a party at Interlaken! We can’t tell you how many of our guests told us it was the BEST and MOST FUN wedding they had ever been to! We are still riding the high of the weekend, and feel lucky that we can come stay there and reminisce in years to come! Worth EVERY PENNY! -

My daughter's wedding was at the Interlaken in 10/10/2020. It was not just a wedding, it was an experience. It was an amazing weekend starting with the rehearsal, through a welcome bonfire, to the ceremony on the gorgeous lake, the cocktail hour in the amazing garden to the tented reception. Planning all of this through a pandemic when we weren't sure it could happen - but it did. The amazing staff was flexible, creative and helpful as we were all so on edge trying to understand how to pull off the wedding. The venue, the food, the whole experience was something we will carry with us forever. Our guests can't stop talking about it. You Wont Find a Better Spot at a Better Price!
We had a wedding here in early October 2020 and it was even better than I could have ever imagined. The wedding was scaled down to just under 40 people because of COVID restrictions and Jodie, the on-site wedding planner, accommodated us every step of the way and with every changed required by the State of CT. The jaw-dropping backdrop for the lake-front ceremony was spectacular. The leaves were changing colors and the scenery was amazing. We then headed to their manicured lawns and gardens for a cocktail hour with waiter-served hors d'oevres ( lobster roll sliders, meatball sliders, risotto balls, bruschetta-- the food and service was phenomenal. The wedding staff set up all our tables, lit the candles and with all the planning that goes into a wedding, they made it easy to just relax and enjoy the day and handled all the details. The reception took place in a large covered porch with gorgeous lighting and sheers draped on one side. We had use of the building attached to the porch which had a pool table, air hockey, game area, open bar and multiple lounge areas for the guests to roam and relax. Dinner was great, cake was included in the VERY affordable wedding package. Not one complaint about the wedding, the updated rooms, the service--it was fantastic! A big thanks to Jodie and her staff--you have certainly found your calling and I can't thank you enough for making my daughters day so special. You won't find a better spot at a better price! -

I am not even sure where to start on this review but here goes… We knew the Interlaken Inn was something special from the moment we first visited. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and a tent vibe but didn’t have the time/budget to do a build-your-own wedding on a farm or something like that and the Interlaken offered everything we wanted “under one roof” and at a very reasonable price.
Michelle was lovely as she showed us around the beautiful property, explained all the different options to customize our special weekend and we imaged ourselves getting married there and we were sold. It didn’t stop there though, Victoria – the wedding planner, is the most patient and helpful person ever and is the reason we had such an unforgettable weekend. She was accommodating on all the little details we wanted for our weekend and worked with us to make sure we were happy with the way everything was coming together. I think I sent her 1000 emails over the course of the year and she always answered with helpful and creative ideas. We hosted a full weekend at the Interlaken for 120 guests (Welcome Dinner, Bonfire, Ceremony, Reception, After Party and Farewell Brunch) and they all went off flawlessly. Even as the rain started to fall before the ceremony – Victoria stalled and waited for the skies to clear for me to walk down the aisle just as I had dreamed of in front of the most picturesque lake - it truly was perfect.
I could write a whole other review for the food – IT WAS ALL AMAZING. Every single guest has commented to us how creative, delicious, and perfectly executed the food was all weekend. As the daughter of a Chef – food and hospitality has always been close to my heart and we really found a special Chef in Chef Darie. We customized a lot- and Victoria and Darie were so accommodating throughout the whole process. Darie and her team really did come through with THE BEST FOOD!! Our build-your-own poke bowls and NY Jewish Deli cocktail hour stations were such a hit – some people even thought they were the main courses… but then there were the melt -in-your mouth entrees – the steak, salmon and butternut squash ravioli all crushed it and then fried chicken sliders with curly fries at the after party sealed the night off perfectly. I am also proud to we got some of everything and that we actually got to eat at our wedding - because we knew it was going to that good!
The guest rooms were well appointed and any issues that our guests faced were dealt with smoothly by the hotel staff. Many guests have said they would return there if they were in the area again and we know we’ll be back too. We stayed in Basha Cottage (and I used this as my Bridal Suite too – which I would highly recommend to future Brides – so much space for hanging out/getting ready with hair & makeup and a full kitchen). The cottage is so nicely updated and after the wedding we spent an extra day to relax and it was a great little getaway cottage.
Choosing the Interlaken was easy for us - I grew up spending my summers nearby and we also had a lot of family coming from out of town, we knew we wanted somewhere that would showcase our love the area, have an outdoor element and give us a whole weekend to spend with family – but I don’t think either of us knew that it would really turn out to be such a phenomenal venue. Amazing wedding weekend
My husband and I held a weekend of wedding festivities at Interlaken Inn in June 2019. Obviously venue is very important for any wedding, but maybe even more so for a weekend of events. There was no better decision we made than to choose Interlaken Inn. The property is beautiful and offers a variety of spaces to enjoy both organized events and down time. But the “secret sauce” of Interlaken is clearly the staff. From the moment we walked in the lobby a year earlier to check it out to the moment we pulled out of the parking lot as a married couple, every single person seemed to be doing everything they could to make our wedding perfect. Victoria was the maestro orchestrating everything for us, but every person was so nice and responsive and professional. And when the weather added some challenges to the actual wedding day, they remained flexible and ultimately executed flawlessly like the backup plan was the primary plan all along. They coordinated all vendors seamlessly like they were also on staff. The food was fantastic, not just at the wedding reception, but at every event. This is a special place! -

Summer Sent on 06/12/2018Theres a character limit here, so heres my shortened review. My wife and myself are from Long Island and had a 165 guest wedding with mostly long islanders. There were hiccups along the way, but PLEASE if you are reading this, PLEASE note I am leaving a 5 star review, so read to the end, we LOVE this place! The hotel booking for our guests at first was very stressful when we learned that our room block was going to be released to the general public a whole SIX MONTHS before our wedding. Good luck trying to get all of your wedding guests to book that far in advance. BUT ultimately the Interlaken was willing to work with us on that when we told them 6 months out that we still had about 90 guests that didn't book. Kudos to their flexibility and understanding on that, we got everybody rooms . We then ran into an issue with the food. Our tasting was nothing short of concerning and just plain bad. Having frequented their on site restaurant "Morgans" many times, and even having been told the catering food was the same quality as the restaurant food, we weren't even stressed about having a tasting, but man am i glad we did. We had a long chat with the staff and their then chef about the food, and ultimately they ended up hiring a brand new executive chef that very month after our tasting (wow), and our guests (now weeks after our wedding) have not stopped absolutely raving about the food!! The Interlaken's grounds, flexibility, willingness to please, the new food, the fact that your guests can all stay right there on site, EVERYTHING was incredible. Yes there were some issues along the way, but the fact that the problems were seen, and handled in a timely manner shows they care and understand. Our wedding coordinator Victoria was the best and pulled strings for us any time she could, The new Chefs are INCREDIBLE, and all of our guests can not stop saying "Best wedding ever!!" and "Where did you find this gorgeous place!!" We are so happy, 10 out of 10, would do it again! -

When we met with her on the Friday before, we passed off all of our decorations, favors, etc. and didn't have to worry about them at all. She was the point person with all the vendors and no one contacted me or my husband the day of. Tiffany was air-traffic controller for the rehearsal and real ceremony.
We wanted to have a full weekend celebration. On Friday night, we had the Fiesta package Welcome Dinner. The food was incredible. Our guests went up for seconds and thirds. Then, we had the bonfire by the lake. The set up was cute.
Saturday, my husband set up games around the grounds. I got ready in the penthouse which was beautiful & huge. At the ceremony, everything was perfect. We asked for our specialty cocktail to be served before the ceremony and Tiffany got it done. While we took pics, she brought us appetizers.
The cocktail hour and reception were perfectly set up. The appetizers came around plentifully. The oyster station was refilled at least four times. There were enough high and regular tables at the cocktail hour that no one had to struggle with food and drink. We wanted a particular schedule for dinner to maximize dancing and Tiffany completely accommodated. She handled allergies with ease. Our guests loved the food. Some said the lobster bisque was the best they ever had. Others said the same about the duck. I know many guests tried all three types of pies at our dessert station.
Also, the bartenders gave generous pours and guests appreciated it. After the reception, Tiffany packed up our special items quickly. There was no confusion at the end about our sentimental stuff or our anniversary cake. Tiffany managed the afterparty and was willing to keep our desserts out longer so guests could snack.
I can't say enough. I wish it was our wedding weekend again. -

Heather Sent on 06/14/2017Beyond perfection in every way! My husband and I planned a very intimate destination wedding at the Lakeside Cottage. The property was so serene and secluded. It felt like a true country escape but with upscale amenities. The cottage was clean, cute, well-decorated, and stocked with little creature comforts. Interlaken Inn’s customer service is some of the best I have experienced in any of my travels. Since this was a destination wedding, it was very important that we had help planning from a distance. Michelle was so responsive and helped us plan every step of the way to make sure that our fantasy became a reality. She was personally invested in our day and genuinely cared about making it magical, down to the very last detail. I’d go so far as to say she was more enthusiastic and helpful than even a Maid of Honor! The Interlaken Inn makes every effort to create a custom and memorable experience for each of its guests. The attention to detail is remarkable and everything possible is done to make you feel special.
The catering and onsite restaurant, Morgan’s, are astounding. The presentation of the food is more than Instagram worthy. It looks ripped from the pages of Saveur Magazine. The preparation would impress even the harshest food critic. The farm to table experience can be appreciated with every bite, as the freshness and quality ingredients distinguish it from the average wedding fare. I promise that once you have your wedding at the Interlaken Inn, you will want to come back for every anniversary. I know we do!

We loved Interlaken!!
When we first visited Interlaken Inn, we knew it was the perfect spot for our wedding weekend - not only for the beautiful grounds and fun activities, but also for the convenience of having so many important wedding elements all in one place - accommodations, unique settings for every wedding event, including the beautiful lakefront ceremony location, reception tent, linens, and onsite catering.
From swimming and playing pickle ball/tennis with guests on Friday, to the welcome dinner and bonfire by the lake on Friday night, to the lakefront wedding and tented reception & after party, to the Sunday brunch, it was the perfect “elevated summer camp for adults” vibe we were going for. It’s been two months since we got married, and our guests are still complimenting the venue and talking about the convenience, fun, and beauty it offered for a full weekend of festivities.
Leading up to the weekend, Vanessa, Victoria, and the rest of the Interlaken team were extremely helpful, answering all of our questions and working closely with us to make the weekend everything we envisioned. From figuring out the optimal lighting for our welcome party, to working with the chef on some off-menu appetizers for cocktail hour, to configuring the atrium space for our after party, and handling a bunch of little details in between, Vanessa went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly!
The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious (exceeding expectations), the service was fantastic, and the whole Interlaken team was friendly and helpful. This is not your average wedding venue! It felt warm, personal, and unique. It’s definitely not the place for a cookie cutter wedding.
Different couples want different things from their venue. If you want a fun-filled, authentic, and beautiful wedding weekend where everyone can stay, eat, and party together in one place, then you’re looking for Interlaken. -

Autumn wedding 2018
The magical experience with Interlaken had started even before we got there. We had our wedding weekend in October - right in the middle of the fall foliage season. Our family and guests drove from all over the Northeast. Regardless of the road they took, their drive was very scenic..
Interlaken is such a charming venue. Compact yet very diverse in accommodation and entertainment options - from lakefront with its warm and cozy bonfire to sports amenities to billiard & table tennis, which were very much appreciated by our guests during the afterparty.
As for food, we did outside catering (as it was an Indian wedding), but I had a chance to have lunch at Interlaken - the fish and chips were the best I’ve ever had!
Interlaken staff deserve a separate section. I wish I knew all the names of those guys that were there for us during these 3 days. We all were treated as if we were the most important guests. And it felt absolutely genuine. Mark was such a big help and Michelle was simply amazing - very professional, straight to the point and accommodating at the same time. Even some very specific needs were met. We loved working with her!

Our daughter’s wedding weekend is a week old, and all we can talk about is that it was exactly what we had hoped for. Actually, it was more. The only glitch was the uncontrollable weather, which prevented us from having the ceremony lakeside. Yet, we were able to take beautiful photographs by the lake. One wonderful aspect of the Interlaken is that the alternative ceremony space, and the alternative cocktail hour space, do not make you feel you are settling for a plan B. What makes Interlaken so special, is its incredibly attentive staff. Everyone’s mission is to make sure we have the most spectacular and worry- free day. Every concern and request was met with, “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it”. And that is exactly what happened. The food is amazing, and the chefs and entire waitstaff are so professional and absolutely wonderful to work with. Our guests could not praise the staff enough. I cannot give the Interlaken enough compliments. The weekend -from rehearsal dinner to brunch -was exactly what we envisioned. We feel like we have a new extended family. That’s how fantastic everyone treated us. If you’re looking for a unique wedding with attention to detail, exceptional food and service, a welcoming atmosphere, rustic charm, and a beautiful setting, look no further than the Interlaken Inn.
