Our wedding was the most perfect day, everything from the rehearsal dinner the previous night to the wedding the next day. The food and service was excellent! This venue is gorgeous. The only thing we were disappointed about was our wedding cake was thrown away rather then saved, and we were unaware of that. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

My husband and I got married at Inn by the Sea in September of 2022 and can’t wait to return to celebrate our anniversary for many years to come! The Inn is one of the most luxurious resorts we’ve ever experienced, without being the least bit pretentious. The grounds are stunning and the view from the lawn overlooked Crescent Beach is unreal- the most amazing spot to say your vows! We only toured this one venue before knowing this was the place for us. From the incredible food (guests are still raving it was the best fare they’ve ever had at a wedding), exceptional cocktails, the stunning reception tent and amazing staff, our wedding day was a fairytale from start to finish. Kathleen was so amazing to work with and her team ensured our every wish was executed on to perfection. So many guests have noted it was the best wedding they have ever been to and so much of that was because of the incredible venue and team at Inn by the Sea. I could not recommend the Inn more as both the most amazing place to spend your wedding weekend, as well as the dreamiest coastal venue you can imagine!

Truly outstanding facility, staff, food, service, etc. Exceeded even our high expectations. And a beautiful location with path to a lovely Maine beach.

I grew up going to Inn by the Sea with my extended family and always watched the weddings from the lawn. Starting at age 6/7, I always stated that "I'm going to get married here!" Fast forward 20 years and I had my dream wedding at IBTS :) Inn by the Sea and its location was not only special to me and my family but my fiance too because he grew up vacationing on the Atlantic ocean, has family in southern Maine and dreams of living on the coast. Once we locked in our date, Kathleen Pacella was a top notch wedding coordinator and was crazy helpful with everything: helping me pick linens, coordinating with vendors, adding extra requests for cocktail hour, dealing with our wedding being 195 instead of the estimated 170, and making the day-of absolutely flawless and stunning. ALSO - the food! Wedding food is never "that good" but our experience was the opposite. The risotto, salmon, and filet for entrees were delicious and the raw bar for cocktail hour was a very welcome surprise for our guests. The whole experience working with Kathleen and the rest of the team at IBTS exceeded all expectations. The amount of guests that have said "that was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to" and "that was the most fun wedding I have ever been to" and "THE FOOD WAS AMAZING" is awesome. We had the best experience and are sad it is over!! We're looking forward to spending many an anniversary back at Inn by the Sea.

Inn by the Sea, and their amazing wedding/event coordinator Kathleen, were an absolute dream. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we felt that it was a place that was special. The impeccable details were everywhere and they were able to address each and every one one of our questions with incredible specificity and timeliness. As we approached our wedding day, the rubber really hit the road and Kathleen was on top of everything! She worked with our vendors to coordinate deliveries, set ups, tear downs, and made the entire day-of go off without a hitch. Everyone tells you to attend your own wedding with a 'guest mentality,' but you can't really do that unless you have competent, compassionate help from people like Kathleen and the entire Inn by the Sea team. Thanks to them for helping us pull off the biggest and most meaningful party of our lives. We'll definitely be going back to celebrate our anniversaries and reminisce about the dream-like wedding they empowered us to have. Cheers!

My Husband and I live in California but knew we wanted to have our wedding in Maine, where my husband is originally from. Planning a wedding from afar is not an easy task. Kathleen at the Inn by the Sea made the entire experience seamless. From touring the venue, planning the schedule, executing day of and many other small attentions to details, Kathleen exceeded expectations on all fronts.

The Inn by the Sea is an exceptionally beautiful space and is quintessential Maine. The food at our wedding received many compliments even from my very picky Father in Law :).

We loved our day and working with Kathleen and her team. Excited to return for an anniversary.

The amazing staff at Inn By The Sea took amazing care of us, and made sure that, no matter what, our weekend was smooth sailing. This was not a first wedding for either of us, and we both work challenging schedules - the team accommodated us at every turn. I have a very good life, and this was the best weekend I have ever had, thanks in large part to the cheerful, helpful, unflappable team at Inn By The Sea. There simply are not enough stars.

I highly recommend the Inn by the Sea as a venue to celebrate your marriage. We had an amazing experience planning our wedding and can't say enough nice things about the gorgeous hotel, grounds, view, and staff.

When COVID hit in 2020, we decided months leading up to the wedding to postpone until the next year. Laurie was very understanding and without question, helped to find us a new date in 2021.

Food and ambiance were our must-haves for our wedding. The Chef is incredibly talented and all of our guests raved about the food. The groundskeeper at the Inn does an amazing job decorating for each season. You also can't be the view and the access to the boardwalk and white sand beach. We had our first look on the beach, and I know the photos will be amazing.

It's also wonderful that your guests can stay right on property. It makes everything easy and helps everyone to relax and enjoy. I'd say the only downside is that you have to reserve a certain number of rooms as a part of your contract if you'd like to use the indoor space for the after-party. Because outdoor weddings have to wind-down at 8pm due to noise ordinance laws, I highly recommend moving indoors and extending your party until 10pm. Our room block was quickly filled, however, as our guests were excited to enjoy the Inn.

Kathleen was very communicative during all of the planning, days leading up, and day-of. I completely trusted her and her team to execute on our vision. And they absolutely delivered! She kept us on schedule during our wedding and helped to make sure all the things we wanted to fit into the day were able to happen. Kathleen also helped us plan our rehearsal dinner in our hotel room after the restaurant we had planned to host it at unfortunately closed. Thank you, Kathleen!

The team was also very flexible in welcoming a smaller wedding of 65 guests. Some venues we looked at required a minimum number of guests, which was challenging given that we wanted an intimate celebration. A large bonus of hosting our day at the Inn was that we were the only wedding on the property. We were able to use every space available to us. It was nice to be able to move around from the lawn, to the tent, to the indoor space.

The whole team at the Inn by the Sea made us feel incredibly welcomed. Kathleen even arranged for Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries to be delivered to our room when we arrived. Kathleen, Laurie, Shane, the Jessicas, Jill, Chris, Edward, and everyone else who contributed to our day made us feel very special and well taken care. It's a day we'll never forget. Thank you!

I got married at Inn by the Sea in June 2021 and everything was fantastic. Their new wedding coordinator, Kathleen Pacella, is experienced and professional. I planned the wedding from across the country, so I wasn't able to meet her in person until the day before the wedding, but she made it all work. The food and service were 10/10, even for a 70-person wedding. Our reception was outside under a tent that Kathleen found for us, and even the tent itself was beautiful. I should also add that this was a rescheduled wedding due to Covid, and the Inn was very accommodating during the rescheduling process.

My husband and I heard about IBTS through a family friend. When we went to check out the venue, we immediately knew it was the perfect spot for us! The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Over the course of planning, the coordinator was quick to respond to all questions through email and/or phone calls. She was knowledgeable, organized and detail-oriented. The food was amazing!! Even now, weeks after the wedding, guests are still raving about the delicious food. Everyone at IBTS worked together to create an incredibly special and beautiful wedding! This is a place my husband and I will return to for many years to come.

Christina was our wedding coordinator for our September Wedding at Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, ME. She was punctual, flexible, and most importantly, enjoyable to work with throughout the entire process! Even in the midst of a family emergency, she had our interests in mind and made sure that we were in the best of hands (Colleen was equally fabulous!). Christina- thank you for being such a huge part of making our wedding day absolutely perfect. You took all of our stress away, and made the entire process FUN. All of the staff at Inn by the Sea were incredible - we can't thank them enough for their attention to detail, and warm hospitality. Not to mention - one of the most picturesque places to get married in Maine! Highly recommend :)

Our wedding experience last weekend was nothing short of incredible. The entire staff is professional, composed and genuine. and along with Christina and Colleen, our coordinators, provided a million little special touches. It was a beautiful late afternoon ceremony and cocktail hour on the front lawn, and we (the bride and groom) were granted a personal waiter (thank you, Ben) who indulged us. Our inside reception room for 60 guests was transformed into an elegant Tuscan themed space. The dinners were presented with a flair by a cast of wait staff. Our family and guests are raving about the impeccable rooms and views and the kindness of everyone we encountered. Thank you, Inn by the Sea. We're so pleased we chose you!

Christina and Misty were so incredibly helpful! Coming from out of state and planning to get married outside in April we knew there could be weather problems and that we may have to find an alternative location. Christina happily showed us other potential locations on the property in case of bad weather to help and due to the snow we ended up using one on site. Both Christina and Misty were very professional, very easy to work with, and made our special day much less stressful than it could have been.

Everything about the Inn by the Sea was perfect! My husband and I wanted a small ceremony with only a few of our closest family and friends. The staff was amazing and extremely friendly! They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Our day was everything and more than I could have ever imagined, which made it more special! They went above an beyond to take any stress or worry away. We absolutely loved everything about Inn by the Sea!

The facility was awesome all the employees went way above board everything was perfect except the quality of the pictures at our ceremony the pictures of us were awesome but the beautiful background was blurry that is the only disappointment we had Your employees made it a lifetime experience

Christina was awesome to work with. We couldn't have had a more perfect day. She took all my ideas and made them a reality. I hardly had a thing to worry about. She thought of everything and was ready to make quick changes if the weather was bad, etc. We have been coming to the IBTS for years and were happy to have our wedding there.

Our experience was exceptional! The staff at the Inn went beyond the call of duty to make sure our wedding experience was spectacular. Christina's experience, leadership and attention to detail throughout the planning process was top notch. We rented a large number of rooms at the Inn, had a 75 person lobster bake rehearsal dinner and a cocktail party style reception with 150 guests. We also hosted an out of town guest reception for 65 guests. We were not disappointed at all. It was the best experience of our lives and our family and friends experience was out of this world. Additionally, we chose this venue due to their love of dogs. Our Goldendoodle, Henry was at all of the events having the time of his life. You will not be disappointed at the Inn, the food, service, rooms, and views are all first class!!

We planned our wedding in 60 days. I chose inn by the sea initially because they could support an intimate wedding and knew local vendors to help us out as we were planning from Colorado. Caitlin was efficient and helpful. She handled all of my requests and excuted our wedding perfectly! Even the concierge (s) were wonderful! We can't forget Bob and how kind he was. I was so happy with how everything turned out. We plan to visit the inn for our anniversaries!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect, thanks to Tracy. The day was overcast and it looked like it was going to rain, so we were able to start the wedding earlier than expected to make sure no one in our outdoor ceremony was rained on. She moved the cocktail hour inside, and because we moved it up, Brett and I were able to enjoy the amazing and delicious food that we had requested. Tracy was so accommodating, she had even set aside some of the appetizers for Brett and I, and had them brought to our table. The wait staff was phenomenal in checking in on us, and making sure that we had everything that we wanted! We didn't have a lot of decorations because the place was so beautiful in itself, and Tracy provided us with the table numbers, centerpieces, reserved signs for the chairs, etc. We had so many compliments about our wedding, and they are all in thanks to Tracy and her wonderful team! Food was so important to Brett and I, and the food is absolutely phenomenal. I do not eat Salmon, or fish, of any kind, but I had salmon as my dinner because it was that good! People kept making sure that we were eating, because everyone says that the Bride and Groom don't get to eat at their own wedding. We made sure not to miss the food. They even baked the cake and decorated the cake for us, which came out exactly like we wanted. We sent them a picture of it, and they created it! However, we were so full from our appetizers during the cocktail hour, and then the three course meal, we were not has hungry for the cake, but we have been eating it since we got home to New York, and it is delicious! It was just an absolute perfect day, and I cannot wait to get the pictures and the video. Tracy, thank you so much for all of your help! We are so thankful we found you and decided to have our wedding with you. You will not find better quality food or service than at Inn by the Sea, and you will love having your wedding there!

We had our dream wedding here and we couldn't be happier with our choice!
As a California couple we are set our sites on Maine for the big day because as the bride I had always dreamed of getting married surrounded by my huge family and a gorgeous seaside affair. Once we settled on the venue ( the only luxury resort in the state) the venue coordinator ( Tracy) was an absolute pleasure to work with. I am an event planner here in CA, and I work with a ton of other planners and Tracy is a gem. Imagine how many email/phones calls were made from a meticulous planner bride for 10 months from the opposite end of the country?! She is truly a professional and her assistant Olivia is great as well. All our guests thought that the venue looked like a scene from a movie. The atmosphere is relaxed luxury. From beginning to end we were wowed with our service. How the day went: ceremony on the lawn was at 2, cocktail hour on the lawn and then tented reception on the side lawn. The views were insanely beautiful and my researching the farmers almanac for the weather for the past 12 years paid off because the skys were blue, it was warm but not humid and there was the slightest breeze. One thing that was not evident from the website was that there is a darling gazebo with weather vein right next to the side lawn. An added touch, we loved it. Even the fire pit attendant at the very end of the night while guests did s'mores was charming- GREAT STAFF! The food was to die for. We are huge foodies and this was right up our alley. As my dad put it: you don't throw a wedding in Maine, have people from all over the country come and not feed them Maine lobster!" He's right and we are so happy we upgraded to the filet and lobster tail. 60 out of 85 guests chose that option. ( smart crowd)

My husband and I had our beautiful and unforgettable wedding at Inn by the Sea in June 2014. We reached out to Tracy, Catering Sales Manager at Inn by the Sea, in August 2013. Tracy was a very professional event planner. She was very patient in email and phone communications and she was trying her best to answer our questions and satisfy our requirement. She was very helpful with recommending us wedding vendors. She also offered many useful ideas in the wedding planning process. All the staff at Inn by the Sea were very professional and nice. They were very helpful with the wedding planning. We were planning to have an outdoor wedding. I was very worried about rain on our wedding day. Tracy and her staff were trying their best to plan for unexpected weather conditions and they tried to get the wedding ceremony outdoor if possible. Fortunately it didn't rain during my wedding ceremony and the rest of the wedding day. The view at Inn by the Sea was absolutely breathtaking. The ocean, the lawn, the flowers, and the blue sky. Everything was perfect. Inn by the Sea offered catering services for our wedding too. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and of high quality. Many thanks to all the staff at Inn by the Sea for making our dream wedding come true. I highly recommend this wedding venue!

Inn by the Sea was very easy to work with, very professional and happily catered to all of our requests. The staff was very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect for our wedding.

Where to begin? Planning a Maine wedding from Atlanta, Georgia could have been a nightmare, based on the rumored stress of wedding-planning in general; however, Tracy and Richard from the Inn by the Sea helped make every moment of our 6-month jam-packed planning fun, smooth, and absolutely enjoyable. Tracy was immediately responsive to our inquiries, and she and Richard made every effort to accommodate all our needs and requests. We felt as though we were their only clients!

The gorgeous venue itself was what initially pulled us in, as we actually did not have the pleasure of meeting Tracy or Richard during our first visit. The Inn's double glass doors at the end of the beautiful lobby reveal a breathtaking vista that boasts the perfectly appointed landscaping at the foreground of the dramatic, quintessential coastal Maine backdrop. Our outdoor ceremony didn't need much decoration to compete with the stunning natural surroundings. The accommodations and customer service are first class, surpassing even those of the Ritz. Further, the Inn is committed to a green mission and buying local. While the rates reflect their upscale standards, they are worth every last penny. It's luxury at its finest, yet down to earth and reflective of classic warm, homey Maine hospitality.

The Inn's extraordinary chefs provided the exceptional food and cake for our marvelous tented reception. We can't say enough about the staff and service. They cared for all the wedding materials that we had painstakingly created and shipped to Maine, and worked easily with our vendors to create the most beautiful event. Our guests from all over the world and vendors alike are still raving about them.

The Inn by the Sea made our beautiful, blissful wedding something we wish we could relive over and over again. We were actually quite sad during our final night and wished we could stay just a little longer. We are already looking forward to spending our anniversaries here!

My husband & I were married at the Inn by the Sea on 8/24/13. From the very beginning we were pleased with the service we received from Tracy and Richard. When we went to check out the scenery the staff were very polite and willing to show us around. The wedding day could not have been more beautiful. It was a sunny day and our pictures are going to come out beautiful. We went down to the beach after the ceremony to take pictures. The room that we stayed in was very comfortable. The reception room was decorated beautifully. The staff took all our items and placed them throughout the room. The staff made sure my husband and I were getting everything we needed during the reception. Our guests had a wonderful time. We used their preferred vendors list and they were all great. Overall we wish we could do the day all over again because it was so much fun. Very satisfied and would love to come back and stay at the Inn by the Sea. Thank you for making our day so special. We were completely satisfied with our wedding held at Inn By the Sea. The location was amazing, food delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

My (now) husband and I got married at Inn by the Sea about a year ago and I'm more than a little embarrassed that it took me this long to write about it. My experience could not have possibly been better. Jessica Nixon (the person at IbtS I dealt with) was pleasant, professional, and amazingly flexible. I wanted a small, elegant wedding with great food for a low price and that's exactly what I got. Especially when trying to plan the menu Jessica was able to give me exactly what I wanted and still keep the price low, something I never thought was possible. What really blew us away though were all the little things Jessica and the staff did to make us feel like royalty and make our wedding weekend the amazing event that it was. They were always one step ahead of us, anticipating our every need and taking care of it.

We went back for our one year anniversary last weekend and when I made the reservation they remembered that we had gotten married there last year. Shortly after arriving at our room the Inn sent us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We only stayed one night but just being there is an experience unlike any I've had before. Not only is the room luxurious, the food at Seaglass is amazing, and the walk down to the beach (even with no leaves yet) is like something out of a painting. The morning of our departure my husband commented that being treated like royalty for your wedding was one thing, but he never expected to be treated like royalty as just another guest at the Inn.

We could not be happier with our choice for wedding venue. The Inn By The Sea is first class all the way. Jessica Nixon, our event planner, never tired of our endless questions and quickly responded to us every time. The day was perfect, not one detail was overlooked by the Inn's team. The food was amazing (we had a lobster bake buffet) and they didn't skimp on the lobsters either. I thought there would be just one for every guests, but there were extras!! Some guests had 4 lobsters!
We have stayed at the Inn several times and each visit has been wonderful. Every single employee treats you with the best customer service you could imagine. We love the Inn By The Sea and we feel like they love us. That is what keeps us coming back!

From the first day I met the wedding coordinator, Jessica Nixon, until the day of the wedding, the people at Inn By The Sea have been helpful, professional and great with communication. For a reasonable price, the Inn provides you with a very helpful wedding coordinator, a gorgeous venue with spectacular views of the ocean and the most delicious food in the Portland area. The wedding coordinator walks you through all the details that are involved in wedding planning in order to assure you are on schedule and have all you ducks in a row. They take care of you the day of the wedding by making sure you are fed, supplied with drinks and having a good time. Everything went perfectly on my wedding day and I could not have asked for a better venue.

I always thought that the Inn only catered to much larger events, with much larger budgets, , but I contacted Jessica about a small family elopement and was shocked to find it was not only possible but suprisingly affordable too. The responsiveness of Jessica and her team was astounding, and they literally would do anything I asked. Nothing was too big or too small even for a tiny event like mine. I never had to lift a finger or stress about anything for even a moment. Who would have thought that was even possible?! The food and service was amazing the day of, and it goes without saying the Inn was gorgeous. I would absolutely recommend Jessica and the Inn to anyone looking for a stress free wedding in an ideallic setting.

Inn by the Sea did such an amazing job with my wedding. I lived in another state, and yet Jessica Nixon did a wonderful job in responding to my e-mails quickly, answering all the questions I had. They helped me with the wedding plans, making sure everything was done, and even gave me a list of vendors when I was looking for a certain something. Without them, I would have been like a chicken with its head cut off. Thanks to them, I felt completely confident and relaxed during most of the wedding planning. The food they offered as options were excellent and well worth the cost. Everybody absolutely raved about the food and the cake. The pricing was very reasonable and well worth it! Last, but not least, they loved the location. Most of the guests even said to me that it was the best wedding they had ever gone to, hands down. I would recommend this place to anybody who loves being in a natural, relaxing place! Thank you, Inn by the Sea!

Inn by the Sea was the perfect backdrop for our elopement. The staff were welcoming and the Inn is stunning. Jessica Nixon deserves an award for how patient and understanding she was with all my last minute plans and requests. Dinner following the ceremony was lovely and the cake was GREAT!!! We loved every second of our stay and cannot wait to book our one year anniversary!

Great experience! IBTS was very accomodating and we had an absolutely wonderful day. The only feedback we thought of was that it would have been nice if they could have furnished an ipod or a cd player for the ceremony and offered it in advance. We brought our own speakers, etc, but for the amount we paid, I think this should have been furnished and the staff should be familiar with using it so as to facilitate the ceremony. My husband was fussing with wiring and electronics 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony and he was nervous to begin with! Overall, wonderful, we plan to come back to stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Our experience at Inn by the Sea was perfect! Jessica was a dream to work with and so helpful, responsive, and organized in the entire planning process. The staff was professional and courteous, the food was amazing, and the rooms are incredible! It is in a beautiful location and our guests raved about the entire experience as well. I would absolutely recommend Inn by the Sea to anyone looking for a wedding/reception location. Jessica was wonderful to work with, very responsive and paid attention to every detail. Our wedding was perfect, we were married at the end of June and the grounds were stunning! The food was amazing, our guests all remarked on how much they loved it. We had the chef make our cake as well, it was beautiful and tasted as good as it looked.

Jessica and the rest of the staff were great to work with. Everyone was greeted with a smile, and we couldn't have been happier with our wedding. The servers worked their butts off, the settings were great, and the food delicious. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Jessica and her entire staff were phenomenal, the food was exceptional and incredibly reasonably priced and the facility and location cannot be beat. Luxury and beauty without ostentation or pretense.

I can't say enough positive things about the Inn by the Sea team. The catering sales manager, Jessica Nixon, was organized, easy to work with, contributed great ideas, ALWAYS followed up anything I mentioned (which is so important because a bride's mind is swimming with details) and was very flexible with all the snafus that came up during the process. My guests were blown away by their experience at Inn by the Sea - the hotel staff was so friendly yet professional with my out of town guests. The venue was just stunning and gave my guests the true "Maine" experience. Oh and the food was just wonderful - the chef provided a delicious meal that exceeded my expectations to 185 people (I got MANY compliments on the food).

This is the perfect venue for anyone who has a love for the Maine coast! Upon touring the venue, we were blown away by the Inn's beautiful facilities and attention to detail that made the planning process much easier (particularly for those who are planning from afar).

Overall, what was most attractive to us was that the Inn by the Sea offered a fairly comprehensive package including event food/beverage catering, set up and dismantling of tent/chairs, a professionally-made wedding cake (by local Patricia Raymond from CakeElizabeth), a room block for guests preferring to stay on-site at the Inn, the possibility for hosting a rehearsal dinner and/or morning brunch, and much more. They were willing to work with us to tailor-make a package that worked for us and our budget.

Perhaps the biggest help was the day-of wedding planner (who, contrary to what her title may suggest, assisted us in planning prior-to and in the execution the day-of)--we cannot thank Grace Knoop enough. As Catering Sales Manager, Grace was a godsend--and her calm demeanor and top notch work ethic helped make our wedding day everything that we imagined it would be and more. Grace even made it a point to pull us aside throughout our big day to ensure that we were eating/staying hydrated and that every piece of our day was implemented to our satisfaction.

Overall, the Inn by the Sea is an excellent choice for a wedding venue and we are are very pleased with our choice!

This was a beautiful venue. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. There were a few details missed on our wedding day, but the service leading up to the wedding was great. Overall a very nice experience.

The location is spectacular. It was a wonderful destination for our wedding of 125 people. Most people stayed at the Inn. The staff was warm, friendly and very accommodating. My guests were well taken care of. The Catering Manager, Tracey, was a life saver. She worked with me for months—always patient and willing to take it on. I didn't have to worry about the day at all. She had it covered. The food was amazing. All the guests had nothing but positive things to say about the entire weekend. I would do it all again if I could!!!

This is a special place for a wedding because of its location, but they don't rely on that to make it a great event. The sales manager was very professional and helped us plan that activity properly, the staff is very service oriented and treated us and our guests superbly at all times, and they were flexible enough to accommodate our special requests for the ceremony and the reception with what we wanted to make it a memorable day. Staying at the Inn was also great, very quiet and we felt pampered!

Tracy and the staff at Inn by the Sea were incredibly accommodating and helpful. We decided to plan our wedding in a week, not even sure if it could be done but Tracy told me not to worry everything wold be taken care of and it was. She recommended places for flowers and hair which were also wonderful and the cake was amazing! Hands down best wedding cake ever. Both myself and the guests were highly impressed with every aspect of the wedding.

Jessica Nixon, the event planner, was very prompt, professional and accommodating. The staff of the Inn by the Sea were all excellent.

We loved Inn By The Sea! it was so beautiful and if we ever wanted to renew our vows we would look no where else!

Perfect setting for a wedding! The Inn by the Sea and the surrounding property is absolutely gorgeous! we were married on the gazebo on the property and had the most beautiful sunset photos taken on the beach. Every detail of my day was perfect! Would highly recommend this location!

We took advantage of the Elopement Package and had a wonderful experience - the Inn itself is in a beautiful location, and the staff were wonderful. We plan to go back to celebrate future anniversaries.

The wedding coordinator at Inn By the Sea is outstanding. I cannot say enough great things about her. She is patient and efficient. The entire staff was professional and welcoming. The whole weekend ran so smoothly and all the food was delicious!

Everything was perfect other than the wedding coordinator, Grace, who was not easy to work with, and the fact that we were not able to check in on time the day of the rehearsal because the rooms were not ready, which delayed the entire night.

The Inn by The Sea made our wedding day a great occasion. The setting is perfect.

The only thing that could have been better is we were asked to pretty much leave the room around 10 pm. We weren't very loud, but we were told we might wake guests. For a room that holds events like that it would be nice if we could have had it for longer in the night and if it was positioned so guests wouldn't be bothered.

We hosted our wedding (both ceremony & reception) at Inn by the Sea this past July and overall, we had a great experience working with the property. They are a high-end resort from top to bottom and this is evident in their quality of service- both staying there as a guest and for our wedding. Christina was a pleasure to work with along the way - she's responsive, put together, adaptable and cool clam and collected (which is refreshing during such a stressful event!). Also, I may be biased, but the food was AMAZING and honestly the best food I've ever had at a wedding-- we got so many compliments! I am glad I hosted my wedding at the Inn and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, calming, beachside venue in Maine! :)

While I was drawn to the fact that the Inn By The Sea did everything for my wedding and I didn't really need to worry about much, I was disappointed with how much the final bill was. We were told that we would need to pay for tips, we weren't told that it would end up being almost $4,000. I was highly disappointed as that wasn't in my wedding budget. I guess my word to the wise that make sure you find out how much everything is going to cost. I also had issues with my deposit not being taking on time and had to keep emailing the wedding planner to take my deposit. Now, I've been married for almost 3 weeks and our final check hasn't been deposited yet.... it's pretty annoying. As well as when we checked out we asked if we owed anything, we asked about 4 times and everyone said we were good. Now, we are being told we owe more money for the rooms we rented, which should of been told to us when we were checking out, not 2 weeks later. Just be on the alert. I am very pleased with the overall wedding, the food and location, just this other stuff has been a nightmare.

The views are amazing and this is a great location for anyone looking for a coastal wedding. We were a little disappointed with the responsiveness of the venue and some miscommunications that occurred. But the food was great, the venue was beautiful and our guests - especially those not from the east coast - had a wonderful time.
