My fiance and I looked at dozens of venues for our wedding and none of them were as beautiful and stress-free as the Hyeholde. This venue easily had the best value for our wedding where they included the catering, decorations, staff, ceremony decor, and drinks all in the package. The venue was well known to many vendors so coordination was easy & painless. Matthew was the most helpful person out of anyone helping plan our wedding, he helped realize our dream wedding while offering guidance where we needed help. We felt at home preparing for the ceremony the day of & during rehearsal. All of our guests left raving about the beautiful venue and delicious courses served during reception.

The Hyeholde was the first and only venue we looked at for our 10/12 wedding. Matthew and DJ were beyond incredible and quickly responded to every anxiety-filled email I sent and we able to accommodate all requests and last minute changes. On my wedding day, DJ made sure I didn’t have to worry about anything and Matthew helped with all the details (including placing fresh flowers on my cake and fixing my mother’s corsage after it broke). Our ceremony was outside and was the most beautiful setting. The surrounding property served as an incredible background for pictures. We opted for a plated dinner for our guests (spinach salad, filet, chicken, shallot smashed potatoes!!! and broccoli almandine) and everything was delicious. Our guests could not stop talking about how much they enjoyed the food. The Round Room was perfect for our small, intimate wedding. Everything was just perfect and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

My husband and I knew we wanted an elegant/historic/intimate venue for our spring wedding, and the Hyeholde was the perfect choice! We had 59 guests and used the outdoor garden for the ceremony and the Round Room for cocktail hour/reception. The garden was the perfect backdrop for our nuptials, with greenery all around, even in early spring just a week after a late season snowstorm! Bonnie and Matthew were wonderful to work with throughout the entire process (we started the planning process with Matthew, then Bonnie took over the event coordinator role shortly before our wedding day). Leading up to wedding, and the day of, Bonnie was always there when I needed her, and I felt as if she truly cared about our wedding day, just as much as we did. She is extremely knowledgeable and flexible (we were late the day of due to unforeseen circumstances), and helped me make decisions I didn't even know I needed to make. She ensured everything was set up exactly how we wanted it, without us having to lift a finger the day of. We were so grateful to have a venue that included an events specialist, as it took a lot of pressure off of us and allowed us to truly enjoy the day without worrying about little details. The food and drinks were amazing (we chose to have a plated dinner), with the sea bass with lemon-dijon sauce being a real crowd pleaser. The staff were all super attentive and nice, and our guests commented on the amazing service from everyone at the venue from the valets to the wait staff. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with multiple different backdrops for photographs. I highly recommend having a ceremony in the garden followed by a reception in the round room as it makes it so easy for everyone to have the events all at the same place. If you're having a smaller wedding in the Pittsburgh area, go with the Hyeholde and Bonnie and you are guaranteed to have the best day ever!

My husband and I recently had our wedding at the Hyeholde. The reception was in the Round Room and we had a garden ceremony right outside. This made it very convenient for our guest. The Round Room and the grounds looked beautiful. There were so many wonderful places to take pictures(inside and out). We chose to have a buffet, it included prime rib, chicken Marsala and pasta and everything tasted great. Mathew Haushalter was great and very helpful with the planning. He met with us serval times and answered any questioned we had very quickly. My husband and some of his family have celiac disease. Mathew and his staff were more than accommodating with changes in the food preparation for them. Thank you Mathew and the whole Hyeholde staff for making our wedding day memorable.

I attended a friend's wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. The building looks like a castle and the gardens are beautiful. The valet parking and the food were excellent. The inside did not need many decorations at it was already so beautiful.

The Hyeholde Restaurant was absolutely perfect for our wedding day, it is always beautiful both inside and out. I loved walking down the staircase for my entrance, it was so elegant! Matthew was so helpful, he always answered my questions and was able to work with me when I needed to make any changes. Not to mention the food was delicious!

Our wedding was absolutely wonderful from start to end. All of our guests raved at the quality of the food and service as well as how beautiful and different the entire venue is. Matthew was very easy to work with and on top of every detail. Whenever we contacted him with any questions or concerns he responded promptly and to each point mentioned. We still cannot get over reasonably priced this venue was and could not have been happier with having both our ceremony and reception at this wonderful place!

Once we stepped foot on to the beautiful grounds and inside of the Round Room, my husband and I knew where our ceremony and reception would be held. Despite the sweltering heat, our late June wedding was flawless. Matthew communicated with us for the entire 18 months leading up to our date and he was not only honest, but helpful leading us in the right direction every step of the way. The food was impeccable and the servers and staff even better. We only had around 80 people and that was just the right size for this picturesque setting tucked away just minutes from the city.

This was the most romantic and beautiful location I found to have my wedding. Matt the banquet manager was awesome to work with and very accommodating. My wedding turned out flawless and everyone loved the food and service.

When it comes down to your vendors for a wedding, nothing is a bigger deal than your venue. It can make or break your day. We chose to have both our ceremony and 100-person reception at this incredible, beautiful and unique venue. For 12 months, I planned and envisioned a lovely ceremony in the outdoor garden. I was so hopeful that I refused to accept the forecast and asked Matthew (banquet manager) to hold out as long as possible to make the call whether to move it inside. He was so understanding and accommodating. Ultimately, we did move the ceremony inside and it was still perfect. The reception hall (the round room) was also amazing -- food, service, atmosphere -- it was all impeccable. I guess what I'm saying is that even on a rainy day, the Hyeholde was a "slam dunk." You CANNOT go wrong with having your wedding there.

I knew I wanted our wedding and reception at the Hyeholde, so it was the only place I considered. And for such an elegant venue, we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the facility is to host an event. Matthew, the venue coordinator, is absolutely amazing! He and his team handled absolutely everything. I dropped off favors and seat assignments the day before the wedding and the team put everything out. I didn't have to worry about a single thing. He was responsive to all of my questions and concerns, was a calming presence throughout the entire day and made our wedding absolutely fabulous. The food, of course, is amazing, and all our guests loved it. The Round Room needs no added decoration, and we just went with the included hurricanes and votives on the tables, and with the twinkle lights in the room, it was perfect. And for pictures, the grounds are simply spectacular. Especially on a spring day in May. Flowers were blooming everywhere and it was a perfect, magical day at this little castle in the woods!

This was the PERFECT place for our ceremony and reception. We married in January 2013 on a gorgeous winter day. The staff was INCREDIBLE. Matthew, the banquet manager, was attentive, professional, and knowledgable. He answered every e-mail in a timely manner during the year leading up to the wedding. He went great lengths to make our day amazing. He stayed the entire night making sure every detail was attended to.
The Round Room was just the right size for our 75 guests. Anymore than that would have been a bit cramped. The food was top notch. We received so many compliments on how tasty everything was. The drinks were outstanding as well. Bar staff, waiters, and waitresses, they were on point all night long. I've never seen anything like it. Hyeholde is very flexible and willing to work with you. I couldn't recommend this venue enough!

Every staff member at the Hyeholde was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. Matthew did an amazing job coordinating our wedding -- he was so helpful and willing to work with us. The food was delicious, the venue was great - both indoors and outdoors. Every guest was very imressed.

The venue is SO Gorgeous! Couldn't ask for a more beautiful spot. The price is incredibly reasonable, for a sit down dinner. Perfect place for a tiny formal wedding, and the food is incredible!

Service at Hyeholde was impeccable from start to finish. Matt and his staff go above and beyond to accommodate you and make sure that your day goes as smoothly as possible. Whenever we had questions, which was somewhat frequently, Matt was prompt to respond with answers within a day or two and always made himself available if we wanted/needed to meet with him. We were even able to schedule a couple of times to practice our first dance on their dance floor! On the day of our wedding, Matt and his staff were there to provide us with whatever we needed, sometimes without us even asking! And all of our guests were raving about the food! We feel so fortunate that our wedding was in such a romantic, unique venue and that the service, food and value was top notch! Thank you Hyeholde!

We were extremely pleased with the service we received at the Hyeholde. The only detail that wasn't provided to spec was that the bottles of wine we requested to have on the tables were not there when we sat own. When we mentioned it, they immediately provided bottle service at no extra cost and kept checking on us to ensure everything was okay, which it was. The food is delicious, the venue is gorgeous, and Matt, the coordinator, was a calming presence and ensured a lot of the other details came together.

We used Hyeholde for our September 2010 wedding ceremony and reception. They were the only place we visited and the only place we wanted.

The staff is absolutely fantastic. Matthew, who manages the Round Room, answered any question thrown at him promptly, calmly, and completely. Never once did he try to “sell” us anything; actually he spoke up if he thought we were overdoing the amount of food. He and his staff were on top of every detail we could think of and many we couldn’t. After the ceremony he was there with snacks and water. (note: Jeffrey was the day of coordinator before Matthew. We met with both and every fantastic thing someone says about Jeffrey is true of Matthew).

The food was delicious. We had a buffet of pasta primavera, green beans, minted baby zucchini, smashed Yukon potatoes, prime rib, and grilled chicken marsala. We received so many compliments. Everyone loved the food, ate plenty, and there was still leftovers (which tasted great).

The outdoor location is lovely. We were outdoors and it was perfect; plenty of room for all of us, but still intimate. The round room itself is also beautiful-a roughly oval room with half the area windows overlooking a nice little “yard.” It’s perfect as is, so you can get away with very little decoration, but it won’t overpower if you want to go elaborate. The “yard” was popular during the reception when people wanted to take a break from dancing and get a little air.

And Hyeholde is a fantastic value. Please please don’t be intimated by the food or pictures-it’s incredibly affordable. We scrimped a bit on things other than Hyeholde, but our entire wedding (including Hyeholde, photographer, dress, etc.) was still under $7,000 for 62 people. And of that Hyeholde provided ceremony location, ceremony seating, reception location, food, tables, utensils, and Matthew as the day of coordinator. They even took care of “bathroom baskets.” If you go to their website, everything is listed so you can see right away if it will work for you and your budget.

I cannot recommend Hyeholde highly enough for couples who want a unique, intimate location that will respond politely to every request and take care of practically every detail-which is actually every couple I’ve ever met planning a wedding.

jeffrey was awesome to work with. he was very kind, informative, and professional. he helped me fine tune the details of hosting a cocktail reception with a non traditional ceremony included. his staff was nothing but accomodating. they set up a coffee bar for us the morning we set up, tied my husband's tie, and went above and beyond to give us exactly what we wanted. many guests left saying it was the "best" wedding they had ever attended. we were more than pleased. i would highly recommend the hyeholde. we plan to return every year for our anniversary.

I had the most wonderful wedding. The event coordinator, Jeff was fabulous. I did not worry about a thing! I even had a personal assistant to help me throughout the day. The food by far was the best meal I ever had at wedding. I know that I might be bias, but all my guests to this day still talk about the venue and food! The local hotel even provide free shuttle service to and from the Hyeholde. It is a wonderful venue and it is a place that my husband and I can go every year to celebrate our anniversary!

Could not have picked a more perfect place to have our ceremony and reception. Jeffrey was amazing and attended to our every need. The day was seamless and perfect. If only we needed to get married again! Would have it at Hyeholde again in a minute!!

The Hyeholde is a perfect location for a day time wedding. It is a classic, simple, elegant venue. Jeff is great to work with. I would highly recommend the Hyeholde to anyone seeking a beautiful location for a ceremony and/or reception.

They did a great reception for us - very formal, but also very comfortable at the same time. The food and service was excellent.

We loved everything about the Hyeholde. The atmosphere, the food, the staff. We had our ceremony held on site in their outdoor garden, and it was beautiful. The reception was everything we asked for. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone who attended had a great time and remarked on the friendlyness of the staff. We wouldn't have had it any other way, Hyehold all the way!!!

The scenery will take your breathe away. You have a lot to work with but you don’t need to decorate as much which saves you a lot of money
