Hands down the best wedding decision we made! Brandon was a pleasure out of the gate from our first initial call. We got engaged in 2019 and ended up postponing our wedding twice due to COVID - all throughout he was a constant source of support.
Food and Cocktails were a huge focus throughout the planning process and we truly wanted our guests to feel like it was a huge family dinner. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments we received around our menu, Brandon's set up and the signature cocktails. By the time of our wedding we truly had a friend there cooking for our guests.
I could not recommend Brandon and his team enough - the menu planning process was so collaborative, he was so responsive, and overall was just a blast to work with. He's a gem of a human - and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. -

Farm to Fire was the first vendor we secured, and with good reason. We'd had the opportunity to eat their food at a friend's wedding in 2018, and we both thought it was by far the best wedding dinner we had ever had. That's impressive enough, but it was also "just" a chicken breast, which was not gonna be my guess for the star protein of "best wedding meal ever."
So when we decided to get married, it was a no-brainer. We asked Brandon to please make whatever he wanted: if he could surprise us so much with a chicken breast, we just wanted to see what he could do when given free rein.
So at our outside, campground wedding out in the woods, he and his team built a fire and roasted chickens and a whole pig over it. That's not for everyone, I know, but for us it was perfect (and to be clear, they also do plated meals, we WANTED a big public live fire cookout, it's not a requirement of working with Farm to Fire). The fire was a focal point of the whole celebration, it was entertainment as much as it was food. I'm sure it made the team's job harder to have guests constantly walking up and asking questions and taking pictures of the process, but they were awesome about it. It was like a wilderness demonstration kitchen. Several guests wanted to be friends with the chefs, because they were so joyful and patient and welcoming and all-around great.
And as for the food? SO MANY guests told us it was the best reception dinner they'd ever had. My wife(!) was born and raised in Memphis, TN, so needless to say her family has strong opinions about barbecue and smoked pork in particular. One Memphian told me that he didn't think you could find good barbecue in Upstate New York, and he was SO wrong that he over-ate and made himself sick. My father-in-law, who is a man of very few words, was absolutely giddy about finding cracklins, his favorite food in the world, in Upstate NY, and thought they stood up to the best Memphis had to offer.
Working with Brandon and his team also couldn't be any easier or stress-free. Brandon himself is the nicest guy in the world, and every time the inevitable curveball got thrown our way, Brandon 's response was always "you two don't worry about this, I'll figure it out." And he always did. Most notably, we used Farm to Fire as both our caterer and our bar service, and there was a problem with our venue changing its policy on liquor licenses that had us really freaking out, and with basically no input from us Brandon and his team just handled it, with all involved parties being happy with the outcome.
As for value for money, my stepmom spent decades in the catering business, and she was ASTONISHED at how affordable Farm to Fire was given not only the high-quality menu Brandon proposed, but also a FULL BAR. We didn't even ask for a full bar, Brandon just said it would be more fun. He was right, per usual.
(Also, that pig is bigger than it looks in the photo, it's just that Brandon is like nine feet tall. In pictures with my 5'7 ass, it's huge.) -

What can we say about Farm to Fire, Brandon, Ali, and their amazing team? From start to finish, they were an absolute dream to work with - especially for this type A bride! They guided us through designing a custom menu that suited our bougie bbq theme hosted a fantastic tasting to ensure it would be everything we wanted, and then flawlessly prepared and executed the main event: our wedding.
Every dish was delicious—our only regret was being a busy bride and groom and not eating much! But our guests are still raving about the food (Especially the chicken on a biscuit, chicken and mushrooms and the roasted pig)! They even took incredible care of our friend with a citrus allergy, which gave us such peace of mind.
Brandon and Ali are not only talented chefs but also genuinely wonderful people. Their food reflects their passion, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the role they played in our day. Thank you for making our wedding meal unforgettable! -

As the mother of the bride, I wanted everything to be perfect for my daughter’s wedding, and Farm to Fire exceeded all of my expectations. From our very first meeting, I knew we were in good hands. Brandon's super thoughtful, attentive, and eager to understand exactly what we envisioned for the big day.
The food was simply exquisite! Every dish was a hit, from the flavorful appetizers to the beautifully prepared entrees. I can’t tell you how many guests came up to me during the reception to rave about the meal. The variety they offered was incredible, and they catered wonderfully to all dietary needs without compromising on taste or presentation.
I am so thankful to Farm to Fire for helping make my daughter’s wedding day so beautiful and memorable. They played such an important part in making it a magical event, and I would highly recommend them to any family planning a wedding. They truly go above and beyond! -

Chef Brandon and his team were outstanding!!! Starting at the beginning in 2023, he worked with us to pull together a menu that we loved, he was communicative, and reassuring the whole way through, and he worked seamlessly with our coordinator as soon as we looped her into the final weeks of planning. The food and the service on the day of the wedding were above and beyond our expectations. We wouldn't change a thing, except maybe we would have eaten more apps - note to future couples: cocktail hour really flies by! The food was truly so so so good. Multiple people approached us during and after dinner telling us this was the best meal they'd ever had a wedding, and we may be biased, but we agree. I was hoping I'd have some photos to share with this post, but we're still waiting on those - I will try to edit it when those come in to show off the spread this team served up! -

Chef Brandon and his team catered our recent September 2024 wedding on Lake George. Brandon was a pleasure to work with during the planning process and we loved getting to collaborate with him directly. He always made us feel comfortable and at ease, and he truly understood our vision for the menu. His pricing was also extremely reasonable for the creativity as well as quality of what we received, especially compared to some caterers in this destination region!
On the wedding night, all of our guests raved about the food including his little extra touches. His staff were also extremely attentive and fun to work with, and nailed both the cocktail hour and reception dinner. Our 'refined backyard BBQ' was everything we envisioned it to be. We are so happy with our choice and know you will be too if you choose Farm to Fire! Thank you Brandon and team! -

Farm to Fire is a unique catering experience in which we had the opportunity to custom design the menu selections for our wedding. We chose to have a blend of Asian/Italian/American cuisine which Brandon and his team delivered on! Brandon and his team have a passion for over the fire cooking and this made for an incredible guest experience (everyone that we spoke to could not help but comment on the grand display that Brandon and his team put together). The food was phenomenal as were the drinks. The team of bartenders, servers and chefs were very thoughtful and were highly accommodating to every challenge that presented itself throughout our wedding day and the months leading up to it. We greatly appreciated their hard work to make our wedding day that much more memorable. -

We could not be happier with our decision to work with Brandon and everyone at Farm to Fire to cater our wedding. I'm not sure "no" is in Brandon's vocabulary as he was up for whatever we threw at him. From our initial conversation with endless questions about food options, food allergies and how those would be handled, set-up, serving and everything in between, Brandon had the right answer and put our minds at ease. Within a week of making the decision to go with Farm to Fire, Brandon sent over a menu that blew us away. We had given him a few ideas we'd seen at other weddings as well as some of our favorite dishes, and from those notes he created a diverse menu that perfectly reflected us. From there he was incredibly communicative; getting back to emails, texts or calls almost immediately. A few months prior to the big day we were able to sit down with Brandon for a tasting and while we expected that it would be good, he exceeded those expectations. Of course that was for just the two of us but when it came time to cook for 150+ people the quality didn't waver. Brandon's giant open-flame rig was such a fun and unique site to greet our guests and certainly piqued everyone's interest as to what was in store for dinner. Everyone got their first taste during the cocktail hour where the grazing table and hors d'oeuvres drew rave reviews (special shout-out to the bite-sized reubens!). Brandon's staff was on top of EVERYTHING during that time; constantly circulating the hors d'oeuvres and even taking the time to make a special platter for my wife and I, as they noticed how busy we were conversing and posing for pictures. Obviously the big part of the night was dinner and once again, these guys went above and beyond. From the perfectly cooked cedar plank salmon to the mouthwatering picanha served with a variety of toppings - a special request so that people were able to dress their steak how they liked with either blue cheese crumbles, chimichurri or horseradish cream - everything tasted incredible. Finally, we ended the night with a classic - cookies & ice cream - and despite a muggy night, they pulled it off! Almost forgot to mention that somehow Brandon was able to do his open-fire cooking not just on a hot, muggy day but also on a day that saw a steady rain for a good half hour prior to the ceremony. Still not sure how he pulled that off. It was truly a pleasure to work with Brandon but just as much of a pleasure to watch him work; a true master of his craft who takes great pride in what he does. I would HIGHLY recommend you allow Brandon and his crew to make your special day that much more special! -

Can't stop thinking about this food!
Where do I begin… Brandon and Heather were a joy to work with! The two major things I was super excited about for our wedding day (besides marrying my husband lol) was the food and the music, and boy did the food live up to mine and everyone’s expectations! From the initial call where Brandon described what our wedding day would be like, to building our menu, tasting the food, then the actual wedding day, every step of the way was an absolute breeze! We are so happy we chose HVBBQ to cater our wedding. Every dish was vibrant looking and so fresh, my guests won’t stop talking about it! One thing I would like to note, wish I had known earlier before hiring a Day of Coordinator, that Heather offers planning services. Heather was so helpful and so communicative that at times I felt like she was my wedding planner. I would’ve 100% hired her to help with the entire wedding if I had known in time. So just a note to future brides, you will love her. Thank you Brandon, Heather and staff for gracing us with your cooking and services on our special day. It was a day that will never be forgotten! -

Easy and delicious!
Everyone with HVBBQ was simply amazing along with the food! From the first phone call with Brandon be made eveything so easy. He was always a phone call away if I had any questions or concerns. Communication was great with the whole team. No matter what we asked for Brandon was always willing to accommodate any requests with ease. Now of course to the food! We did not want your “typical” wedding dinner and we’re SO excited when we found HVBBQ. The food was exactly what we wanted and everyone raved about how delicious is was! It was not a wedding you left hungry with small portions either which was so refreshing. A dream team and amaaaaaazing food. I would highly recommend HVBBQ!!! Still dreaming about the steak and Brussels sprouts 😍 -

Brandon and his team were INCREDIBLE!!! Every guest we spoke to after dinner and the next day said it was hands down the best food they’ve ate at a wedding. The customizable options allow you to create your dream menu! Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection! The only regret I have is not eating 60 more plates! His team was so friendly and helpful. I suggest you book them as soon as you can because this was an unreal experience that I wish I live through again! -

From the start, we appreciated how much time was spent getting our favorite foods on the menu. The food was the most important part of the day. We’ve travelled all over and really wanted those travels to be represented at our wedding.

We love Brandon and his team!
My husband and I wanted a unique food experience at our wedding, so we hired Brandon and his team and they did an amazing job. We’ve gotten several comments from guests that our food was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Brandon was very communicative and flexible with us, giving us a lot of choice on what we served. We went with a southern station and an open fire grill station, and they also killed it with our signature cocktails. If you’re on the fence whether or not to hire HVBBQ, I’d say definitely do it. All of my uncles and family friends were so stoked on the concept of their visible open fire cooking, it was entertaining AND delicious. Hire them! -

Not your typical catering business!
Brandon and his team were a pleasure to work with! They were extremely flexible and understanding when we had to postpone our wedding. Brandon was super easy to work with during the planning stages and was always willing to give suggestions. We worked together closely to customize our menu and create a rental list with ease. He was also very accommodating for our guests who had dietary restrictions/allergies. We also had a fabulous experience at our tasting. It doesn’t get better than locally sourced ingredients! On our wedding day, Brandon brought over champagne and a platter of food to the bridal suite. At cocktail hour, his team fixed us a plate of all the appetizers that were being passed around so we wouldn't miss out. One final thought – we highly recommend incorporating the mini milkshake bar into your dessert menu! Many thanks again to Brandon and his marvelous staff. -

When we first got engaged, we searched high and low for a vendor that would bring the whole ingredients, low fuss, but high-impact type of cooking we knew we wanted — preferably with some live fire. Everywhere we turned, the options were either out of our budget or otherwise just not right. From the moment we first got on the phone with Brandon, we knew this was the solution we'd been dreaming of! We had such great chats and he took in everything we said, got to know our personalities and preferences, and helped us create a menu that felt so personal and right, it made me cry the first time he sent it.
Our wedding has since been postponed, and Brandon and his team have been beyond accommodating in making the changes. The stress of moving our wedding date has felt so much lighter with the true partnership of vendors like these.
We cannot WAIT to finally eat our wedding meal in 2022! But even ahead of that, I'd recommend Farm to Fire / Hudson Valley BBQ / Brandin without any hesitation to anyone planning their own event. -

I wish we could give Brandon more than 5 STARS! We had one major must have at our wedding and that was amazing food. It was no surprise that Brandon and his team made that happen. From the very start of planning Brandon was an absolute pleasure to work with, fast forward to only 6 months before our wedding and a pandemic came and changed everything. Brandon was positive, understanding, helpful and honestly just an amazing person to chat with about our uncertain plans. The day approached and he made all the appropriate accommodations to make sure our friends,family and the staff were safe. Also, I think it is important I mention CHICKEN AND WAFFLES! The whole menu making process was actually amazing and it often made us hungry. The day of it was amazing to see it come together and smell it cooking! I (The Bride) will go on the record and say that I WAS FULL! Brandon made sure we got to eat everything and boy did we eat! Our drinks were absolutely delicious with a good old Whiskey Sour with egg whites and a smokey Mexican mule! We honestly want to have another wedding/event just so Brandon can feed us again! We did not have to worry about anything, Brandon and his team took care of everything and even the day of came up to our house and dropped off a little snack. We could honestly go on and on about how perfect Brandon is but we may run out of space. If you are looking for the perfect caterer Brandon is your guy! The FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING!!!! We forever love Brandon and the Hudson Valley BBQ team! -

The greatest caterer of all time!
I have never written a review prior to this one. The reason I wanted to write this review is because of the superior service I received from one of the vendors at my wedding, Brandon with Hudson Valley BBQ. From the beginning of the planning process all the way through our wedding day we had an awesome catering experience. Brandon is very organized and communicated very clearly and addressed all our needs and wants. Our tasting was amazing, and the food was over the top. Our wedding went off without a hitch and we all had a great time. I received numerous compliments about the food that Brandon provided. The fish, the brisket, and THE DESSERTS were all amazing. IF YOU ARE HAVING A WEDDING OR ANY OTHER EVENT YOU NEED CATERED IN THE HUDSON VALLEY CALL BRANDON! -

Wow.....Brandon and his crew threw down at our wedding. I’m talking straight up epic! Our guests LOVED LOVED LOVED the food. We want a wedding do-over just so we can have a second round of all the deliciousness! From the beginning Brandon knocked it out of the park. He came up with a super creative menu that fit perfectly into our wedding day vision. He answered my millions of stupid emails without complaint. He was always open to hearing my opinions/ideas but was also a champ at making executive decisions when I needed him to and to top it all off the guy is funny as hell! Brandon and the entire team at Hudson Valley BBQ are quite possibly the greatest caterers you could ever invite to your wedding. I know that may sound bold, but it's true. Aside from the fact that they create delicious food, they are an absolute pleasure to work with. From start to finish Brandon was responsive, helpful and created a menu that matched our personalities and food preferences. His food is creative, fun and absolutely delicious. He is also great at creating new and unique foods for your special day. Brandon created for us a his and her pierogi bar and we were able to create our own flavors. Our cocktail hour consisted of mini chicken and waffles, bacon wrapped dates, maple glazed pork belly on edible spoons and more. We set up a family style dinner for our main course that included a full pig roast, Mexican street corn, skillet corn bread.. and more.... I do not have enough positive things to say about Hudson Valley BBQ. If you are looking for food that is beautiful and soulful, I highly recommend giving them a shout. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and I could not picture working with anyone else. Did I mention they are an absolute pleasure to work with? Just want to make that point very clear. Thank you for everything Brandon! -

Brandon put me at ease the whole time that we worked together on our wedding, but more than that... he delivered. The food was mouth watering. I don't know how you feed that many people that well, but my guests were in awe. My family friend, a Tony winning costume designer, said it was the best food she'd ever had at a wedding... and she has TASTE. On top of the food, the people who served it were so kind, and were so thoughtful to make sure that the bride and groom were always fed! I can't tell you which food was my favorite... maybe the mini chicken and waffles. Brandon's team brought the ambiance, diligence and taste that my rustic wedding needed. He was a perfect choice.

Hannah Sent on 10/23/2017My husband and I simply could NOT have imagined a more flawless, perfect, wonderful catering experience for our September barn wedding in the Catskills.
-FOOD: food was #2 on the list of things my husband and I cared about for our wedding (#1 was getting married!), so to say we cared about the quality of our caterer would be an understatement. We lucked out – the food quite honestly blew us away. Every appetizer we chose was delicious – pear and gorgonzola flatbread, truffle arancini, caprese skewers, shrimp ceviche and a harvest tray of cheeses and meats. People were repeatedly coming up to us during the cocktail hour asking us if we had tried all of the apps because they were so damn good. For our main dinner we had chicken, pulled pork and beef brisket cooked outside over an open fire, along with a tater tot bar/three sauces, drunken Brussel sprouts (ridiculously good), and tangy coleslaw. The mini pies we had for dessert were to die for! Not one thing on our plates was anything short of divine. I was always skeptical of the ability for wedding food to be top-notch, but Brandon and his staff totally proved that you can get the meal of your dreams cooked for over 100 people.
-SERVICE: great food somehow doesn’t taste as great if your caterer is hard to work with – Brandon could NOT have the made the process more pleasant and easy from start to finish. From our first phone call with Brandon, we were totally at ease and taken care of. He was incredibly responsive to our emails and always as friendly as could be. The day of the wedding he sent a plate of pork as well as some pie holes up to the room where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready, which was the sweetest touch and is indicative of how he is always thinking about how he can make the experience more special for everybody involved.
If you aren’t using HV BBQ Co. for your event...you are just doing it wrong. Top-notch food, served with love and passion – doesn’t get any better than that! Thanks guys! -

Angela Sent on 10/22/2017Hudson Valley BBQ really made our food truck wedding come to life! A chicken and waffle bar- with sausage gravy and a fried egg on it?? Sign me up! Along with a taco bar, street corn, and salad. They had all of our guests raving about the food all night. It was a unique idea, a bit risky, and they really nailed it. I’m obsessed with tacos, and was even eating one on the dance floor at some point. Brandon was responsive and open to all of our requests during planning. He made it so easy and worry-free.

Best BBQ food, prompt service and such lovely people to work with... My daughters theme was Country Rustic so Brandon set up a great menu of locally sourced food to highlight her day! This was not your usual wedding food... I'm in love with the pork belly on waffle appetizer , as was everyone else but the HV BBQ team made sure there was plenty of food so our guests could enjoy multiple servings... They arrived early and stayed through the wedding...

So when I had to choose who was going to cater my daughter's graduation party, I went straight to HVBBQ Co. Hands down some of the best BBQ I've ever had (and my family lived in the south for half our lives). My family is filled with picky eaters and there was not a complaint in the house. The food was prepared perfectly, our order was 100% correct and even when we had some confusion on how it was being warmed, Brandon was very professional and helped us make our event go off without a hitch. The food was phenomenal! Some of the best BBQ we have had anywhere in the area! The whole process from initial order to final product was easy, and stress free. Food was the most important decision for us at our wedding. And we made the right choice by going with Farm to Fire. The moment we sat down to try Brandon’s food we were hooked. Several of our guests have since commented that the food was amazing and one other couple - who were very picky about the catering at their own wedding - said we were the first wedding they’d been to that had managed to outmatch their own selection. The food is elevated while still being down to earth. We wanted to have food reflecting key moments in our relationship - mac n cheese, baked salmon, brussel sprouts, take out chicken teriyaki - and Brandon was able to take these run of the mill things and turn them into dishes so good that in the following days, our guests were asking if we had leftovers we could share. If you love food, go with Farm to Fire. You won’t be disappointed. -

A completely custom and unique catering service that will wow guests
We are so incredibly grateful to Chef Brandon, Ali, and their entire team for the absolutely amazing job they did catering our wedding. From the start, they were open-minded, flexible, and enthusiastic about our vision: a custom menu inspired by our backgrounds and favorite cuisines. We had an Italian cocktail hour with pasta made live in a cheese wheel, a Puerto Rican dinner with pernil roasted over an open fire and arroz con gandules, and Greek desserts (baklava, loukoumades). Every detail was executed with love and precision.
Chef Brandon cooks everything over an open flame, on-site, with fresh, local ingredients—and it shows. Our guests were raving about the flavor and presentation. One of the biggest highlights was the oyster shucker who roamed during cocktail hour—fun, interactive, and delicious.
And then... it rained. Hard. Our indoor/outdoor wedding turned into a challenge, but the team handled it all with professionalism, positivity, and a calm presence that gave us so much peace. They never let the weather affect the quality of their work.
The bartenders and servers were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure both we and our guests were happy at every moment. We truly can't thank this team enough for making our day so special, unique, and delicious. If food is a priority for your big day, we highly recommend working with them. -

Brandon and his team were INCREDIBLE! From the start, Brandon did an amazing job listening to our preferences and (very loose) wedding vision and helped create a menu that perfectly matched our tastes. We definitely had a lot of questions and made a few changes, and Brandon was so responsive and accommodating. Day-of, his team was on-time, professional, and the food & drinks were SO DAMN GOOD. Everyone loved the food and the Farm to Fire staff, and I can't recommend them enough.
