My wife and I wanted to do a destination wedding on the beach in Costa Rica. We started planning in Feb 2021 for a Dec 2021 wedding. As you can imagine planning an out of country wedding during Covid was definitely not the easiest thing to do but we were referred to Heidy by one of the locations we were considering. We set up a meeting with her and within the first 5 minutes of the zoom call we knew we had to work with her.
We ended up having a beautiful 100 person Indian/America ceremony on the beach in Guanacaste. Heidy helped us for the entire process and we didn't even visit the location until the week of the wedding. She is extremely organized and helped keep us on track for everything we needed to do. She never pushed us towards any decisions and brought to life the vision for our wedding.
We really can't say enough good things about her. She is amazing, always cool under pressure, extremely responsive, and her passion for her job really comes through. Above all else though Heidy is such a truly wonderful person who we now consider a friend. We truly can not thank you enough for everything you did Heidy. We will never forget our wedding weekend and so much of that we owe to you! -

Heidy was an exceptional wedding planner and I truly cannot imagine planning our wedding without her. She was incredibly organized, always on top of every detail, and made the entire process feel seamless and manageable.

Heidy was AMAZING to work with. I was a little nervous having a destination wedding at first and knew that people in Central America kind of move at their own pace. The first company I reached out to had me fill out an entire questionnaire and reportedly would get back to me in 24-72 hours, but after the first 24 hours I found Heidy and reached out to her. She responded the very next morning, we set up a call, and started working together from there. I should note that the original company I reached out to responded 6 weeks later.
Throughout the entire process, Heidy was incredible. She was extremely communicative and was on top of everything. I felt like the process was so smooth and organized that by the time the week came, I wasn't stressed at all. The vendors she referred were incredible, as well. She truly made my vision come to life, and I couldn't have asked for better.

Stress Free Wedding
We truly could not have planned our destination wedding without Heidy. Having worked in event planning myself, I had very high expectations and Heidy exceeded every single one of them. She helped coordinate every detail, assisted with booking all of our vendors, and handled all the back-and forth communication with the hotel, which would have been incredibly stressful while planning from another country. She made the entire process feel seamless and stress free. Her organization, professionalism, and attention to detail gave us complete peace of mind, and we were able to truly enjoy the experience. We had the most amazing experience working with Heidy. From the very start, she was professional, responsive, attentive, and made our wedding the most special it could possibly be. Putting our trust in Heidy was the best choice we made for our wedding. Not only did she make planning our destination wedding seamless, but she did so in our tight timeline of 6 months. She was available whenever we needed her to answer questions, offer advice, and ease our nerves. She provided a great list of vetted vendors for each aspect of the wedding, making it easy for us to find the best fits. My husband and I live in North Carolina, but Heidy worked her magic to create the most breathtaking wedding in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
From the very beginning, Heidy was incredibly responsive and flexible, always making herself available for us. She even went out of her way to meet with me and visit the venue during a trip I took beforehand—a gesture that truly speaks to her dedication.

The BEST wedding planner in Guanacaste!
Heidy and her team (David) planned us THE best wedding day/reception! It was perfect and we could not have asked for more! I would advise other couples to trust in Heidy’s suggestions, she is very knowledgeable, has lots of local connections and can make your dream wedding come to life! We had never been to Costa Rica before our wedding so having Heidy to help was the perfect decision!
Heidy/David were well organised and easily contactable even despite the time differences between us! We were given a design board and google drive to bring our vision to life which really helped us to stay on task! Heidy and her team were a amazing to work with. They were outstanding in every aspect. My wife, Vel, and I interviewed multiple wedding planners through WhatsApp before deciding on Heidy because of her thorough experience, and we just clicked. She helped ease the stress of planning, especially for Vel. She connected us with every vendor we hired and had multiple options for each vendor. Her assistant, David, had great energy and earned every penny the day of our wedding. I got locked out of my room as Vel was getting ready and forgot to gather my outfit and accessories, so I had to instruct him on where everything was in my suitcase. He got everything without a problem. Heidy was no-nonsense on our wedding day, and Vel & I loved it! We had a tight schedule to get everything done, and she ensured we didn't get sidetracked, which can very easily happen on your wedding day while entertaining guests. We constantly communicated with her throughout the process, and she even drove us to scout the different locations when we visited in August of 2023. Choosing Heidy as our wedding planner was the best wedding planning decision we made! She made our wedding weekend the best weekend of our lives and we will eternally be grateful to her and her team! Heidy saved us! We were originally going to go with a hotel wedding package and work with the planner provided by the hotel. Turned out the hotel planner took forever to respond to our emails, had very limited options, and later found out it would have been more expensive in the long run. We had a very limited budget and we were hesitant about hiring an outside planner, but I must say it was the best decision we could have made! Thank goodness Heidy was available! She asked me to create a Pinterest page of my dream wedding, and she literally made it come true with our small budget! Her communication is above and beyond, and she has an assistant David who helps her out as well! We 1000% recommend Heidy if you’re thinking of having a destination wedding on Costa Rica. Hiring Heidy was the best decision I made!
Heidy was exceptional! Our wedding exceeded all expectations (according to not only us but our guests). Even if the budget was relatively restrictive, Heidy was able to bring our vision to life without compromising on quality. She took care of the design and style by only looking at my Pinterest board. Moreover, she has remarkable negotiation skills, and with her deep knowledge of the Costa Rican wedding industry, she was able to lower our open bar bill (with a venue that I chose even before hiring her). We could stay within our budget while still enjoying top-notch services.
On top of that, working with Heidy was a pleasure from beginning to end. Her warm and approachable personality made communication effortless, and she always valued our input. Everything turned out perfectly on the wedding day, and if there were crises, I never heard of them because of her. I was even able to do a yoga class, get drinks with my friends and relax before the wedding because I knew she was taking care of the setup. -

It’s hard to put into words what an exceptional wedding planner (and person) Heidy Quesada is. I showed her just a few photos of what we wanted for our special day and on December 3, 2022 she created the most beautiful day of my life. It literally brings me to tears just thinking about how special she is. The attention to detail was mind-blowing- not a single detail was missed- it was almost as if she could read my mind. She helped with every single detail including the menu, flowers, DJ, decor, favors, signs, contracts, transportation (with endless schedule changes with flights etc.) and the list goes on and on. I feel like she is an angel sent from the wedding heavens to make brides and grooms dreams come to a perfect reality. I always felt heard and felt like I was a priory with Heidy which is incredible considering she is the most wanted wedding planner in Costa Rica and we got married at the height of the wedding season. On a personal note I live in Costa Rica I had the privilege of spending some person time with Heidy and I can attest she is just a pure, wonderful, kind and generous woman- she will forever have a place in my heart. Heidy helped us plan a destination wedding for ~100 people in Tamarindo. While daunting, she made this easy, fun and the wedding of our dreams. Above and Beyond!!

Long story short, we chose Costa Rica for our destination wedding before ever going there or knowing much about it....so when we decided, we then went on WeddingWire to find a wedding planner. We selected Heidy, had a zoom and we KNEW right then that she was the one...it's like when I tell my real estate clients "when you see that home you absolutely love, you will just know!"...same goes for selecting your wedding planner.
We decided to take a trip to Costa Rica to look at the venue, and Heidy was an absolute gem for helping us plan our trip and making it extra special (she went above and beyond). It was great to finally meet her in person. She has YEARS of experience, knows EVERYONE, always had a smile on her face, and was very organized. We heard from so many people who have had weddings that weddings are stressful and this and that....Heidy made the experience fun, enjoyable, and we didn't stress at all....the only really stressful part is just paying all the vendors...but ladies and gents...it's so worth it in the end!
The day of the wedding.....it was BETTER than what we imagined, she made our ideas into a reality. I had made a Pinterest and put things that I liked..but I didn't know exactly what I wanted...and Heidy made the whole week just a dream come true!
Heidy is so unique and special....we spent weeks WhatsApp'ing her, texting, zoom calls with her and we're actually sad that we won't be seeing or talking to her as often anymore...we got married March 11th (less than two weeks ago) and I have already referred her to SEVERAL people (....hoping that I'll get an invite so I can see Heidy again!).
If you're on the fence about a wedding planner...for the love of all great things and for your sanity and your partner's sanity...HIRE a wedding planner...and if you're even THINKING of Costa Rica (Guanacaste province-or nearby)....hire Heidy.

We can't imagine what our wedding week would've been like if we didn't have her. We planned our wedding for two years during the pandemic and it was stressful, to say the least...between COVID restrictions always changing and changes in ownership in our venue/hotel...Heidy was the calm that kept us reassured everything was going to be okay. Not only did she help us plan every detail of the wedding day, but she also connected us to so many local businesses for us to host other wedding events throughout the week. She was able to get us discounts with tour operators and was invaluable with helping us provide our guests with an authentic Costa Rican experience while in Potrero. She was always willing to meet to discuss some crazy ideas that I had and help talk through the best way to incorporate them into our wedding. On the day of the wedding, she worked some absolute magic. We created an initial floor plan together for the venue and the day of she had some incredible ideas to make the venue flow even better and her vision created the most EPIC cocktail hour and reception anyone has ever seen. You need Heidy for your wedding. She made my dreams come true. I sent her my Pinterest vision and she was able to bring everything to life. She was irreplaceable for our wedding day. Every single detail was PERFECT! She arranged everything and I didn't have to stress on our wedding day at all. Having Heidy as our wedding planner made the experience of planning a wedding sooooo much easier. We hired Heidy at the beginning of 2020 so she not only helped us plan a wedding but helped us through a postponement as well.

After Covid-19 wrecked mine and my fiancé's plans for a big wedding in our home state of WA, we decided to downsize and take our immediate family and closest friends to Costa Rica. We decided on Cala Luna Boutique Resort in Tamarindo (100% recommend, absolutely GORGEOUS venue) who exclusively uses Heidy as their events/wedding planner, and it is clear why they trust her alone.
Heidy was absolutely FANTASTIC, from start to finish. We could not have asked more a more thoughtful, thorough, friendly person to help us navigate a pandemic + destination wedding. From the moment we met over Zoom for the first time, I knew I could trust her judgement and competence in delivering the perfect day. She was always there to answer my questions, and gave thoughtful insight and suggestions. She interpreted our dream wedding perfectly; I showed her what our original ideas were and she blended them seamlessly into the new plans so we never felt as though we were missing out on the first wedding that was cancelled. In fact, I am sure that Heidy delivered an even better wedding than we could have hoped for in WA! Her detailed timelines ensured the flow of the day was seamless; I was able to get ready with my girls with no worries that everything would be prepared and flawless by the time the festivities began.
She assisted with so much more than just the wedding; she also helped coordinate our welcome party, rehearsal dinner, after party, and all transportation for 40+ guests (a huge undertaking!). Heidy went well above and beyond what she needed to, and we could not be more grateful for her. All of our guests continue praise how amazing our wedding was, and we have Heidy to thank for that. She has an infectiously friendly demeanor, extreme attention to detail, and is overall just an amazing person. There aren't enough words to say how much we loved working with Heidy. Let me start off by introducing our amazing Wedding Planner Heidy Quesada who picked my brain and took the time to get to know us. Heidy is such an angel! Throughout the process, she has been so organized and accommodating, even with my ideas and visions changing. Due to family circumstances and COVID, my husband and I ended up eloping with Heidy’s planning services, and will be renewing our vows with our family and friends next year (with more of Heidy’s fantastic planning of course!).
At the start of our trip, American Airlines was terrible and made us miss our connecting flight to Liberia Airport, so had to fly into San Jose instead. As we were in the airport freaking out, she was able to calm us down and arrange private transportation from the San Jose airport to our Airbnb in Tamarindo. During our trip, she was even able to work with our venue for next year to arrange a complimentary stay with them on our wedding night, as well as a beachside sunset dinner to taste some our options for next year’s reception. She also spoke with the mixologist at our venue Cala Luna in order to execute our taste and vision for cocktails. She is also just so personable, generous, and kind.

Heidy was absolutely amazing! It's very hard to plan a wedding internationally without meeting the planner or seeing the venue. There's a lot trust you have to put in the person, so planning from thousands of miles a way was nerve wracking! I'm also a very hands on, type A kind of person, so giving full control to someone else is difficult for me. But Heidy was always kind in her responses, assuring me everything would be perfect and keeping me up to date.
Costa Rica works differently than the US, so wedding planning is not as cumbersom. They move at a different pace, choosing things like flowers or a DJ are not as time sensitive. Many times I would email her freaking about about a deadline and she would email me assuring me not to worry.
After a year of planning via email, I could not wait to meet her! The moment I saw her, she gave me the biggest hug! She is truly one of the warmest, most genuine people I've ever met. She was in contact constantly with me while we were on the resort. She helped with everything from getting my dress steamed & welcome bags delivered to all day of details.
Heidy blew us away with the decor!!! She makes a decor proposal based off your Pinterest board beforehand, and while I had an idea of what it would look like, she went above and beyond. We wanted lush, natural, local flowers, and you can see by the pictures she delivered!! Because of a situation with the resort (construction-completely out of her control) she was able to upgrade our reception venue, the Reserva Conchal rooftop. Having this coveted venue made such a huge difference in our experience. She was there every moment of the day, assisting guests, myself, and our wedding party, all with a smile. Many of my wedding party made a point to tell me how amazing of a job she did!
