I cannot say enough good things about Lizzie. She stepped in only 45 days before our wedding, and from our very first meeting, she completely put me at ease. I told her I wasn’t sure if I needed someone full-time because I had already handled things like invitations and vendor selection, and she confidently told me, “You can plan a wedding in 45 days as long as you have your vendors selected.” She absolutely meant it.
We had a fairly large destination wedding with around 120 guests and so many intricate details, and she handled every single thing with incredible care and attention. She made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. She was always available, even while overseas on vacation, which honestly still amazes me.
She coordinated and set up all of our decorations, kept everything running smoothly, and gave genuinely helpful advice throughout the process. One thing I really appreciated was how honest she was about budgeting she told me what was truly worth spending money on and what wasn’t, and her guidance was spot on every time. She also had amazing vendor recommendations and clearly has strong relationships with the people she works with.
Beyond being incredibly organized and talented, Lizzie was just such a kind, loving, and calming person to work with. She added so many thoughtful touches throughout the experience. One thing that meant so much to us was that she saved sand from the beach where we got married and made us an ornament with it afterward. Those little details made everything feel even more special and personal.
Our wedding truly would not have been the same without her, and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. -

You should definitely hire Lizzie as your wedding planner! You will not regret it.
She just orchestarted my daughter's wedding and every single thing went off without a hitch. It was a perfect day. However, the best part of the experience was in the weeks before the big day. My daughter is anxious by nature and her mom was not around to consult and reassure. In the lead up to the big day, Lizzie was there for my child with sage advice and calming guidance. I cannot thank her enough for all she did. As a bonus, you might get her sister on the day of the event! Katie is a gem as well! You can't go wrong with Hakuna Matata. -

She helped bring all of my visions to life and made the entire planning process so much easier. She helped me communicate with vendors and was so proactive in getting answers from my venue when I was having a hard time getting responses. On the wedding day, she was truly everything. I had a dress malfunction and she immediately became my go-to with her bustle tricks and saved the moment without any stress. Lizzie was AMAZING and just what we needed to make sure our wedding ran smoothly. From the initial phone call to my wedding day, I felt totally at ease knowing Lizzie had everything taken care of. Her attention to detail, professionalism, responsiveness, suggestions/recommendations, organization, and dedication truly shined, and we could not have done it without her. Lizzie was always looking out for us and our families to maximize ease and comfort. She also had a way of remembering extremely small details on phone calls and making sure we executed the perfect event. She thought of everything! Our wedding day ended up being pretty windy, and Lizzie thought ahead and switched which side I was on at the altar to be best for the wind with my hair and veil.
In preparation for the wedding, Lizzie helped us before the one month start by providing recommendations for vendors, cake, etc. – all excellent recommendations!! We had a destination wedding in Florida, so having someone with Lizzie’s network and knowledge of the area was extremely helpful. She knew the areas around the venue very well, the vendors, etc., which took a lot of pressure off us leading up to our wedding.
Lizzie truly went above and beyond with helping us and making sure our wedding day went well. I felt like I could be totally present and enjoy my whole wedding weekend knowing that Lizzie had everything taken care of. Her emergency kit was a total help too as she had pins to help my dress. Both sides of our family noted now attentive and on it she was.
I cannot fully describe how essential and professional Lizzie is. She truly cared about our wedding day and made sure there were no worries for us – Hakuna Matata. Thank you, Lizzie!!

The perfect day-of coordinator! Lizzie was affordable, incredibly organized, professional, and so friendly throughout the entire process. She answered every question we had and guided me whenever I needed it, which made wedding planning feel so much less stressful.
One of the most incredible things she did was seamlessly modifying our timeline to buy us an extra half hour to wait out the rain so we could keep our outdoor ceremony overlooking the beach. Thanks to her organization, we were able to have the ceremony we dreamed of. It truly would not have been such an incredible day without her there every step of the day.

There are truly no words that feel big enough to describe how grateful we are for for Lizzie. What she gave us wasn’t just a beautifully organized event, she gave us the ability to be fully present on one of the most important days of our lives.
From the very beginning, I knew there was nothing I had to worry about, that the day would be absolutely perfect because I had Lizzie to depend on. Throughout the planning process, whenever I felt overwhelmed or unsure, she was steady, reassuring, and solution-oriented. Her communication was extraordinary, I felt she was right there with me through every hiccup and every last minute change of plan. She anticipated needs before we even realized we had them. Every email was answered with care. Every concern was handled with patience. Every decision felt easier because we knew we were in good hands. On our wedding day, we didn’t worry about a single thing. Not the timeline. Not the vendors. Not the weather. We were able to soak in every moment because Lizzie was working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything unfolded perfectly. After my beach ceremony she even took the time to brush the sand off my feet! She bustled my dress like a pro, and got a plate of food for me from my cocktail hour so I could enjoy it while she got me ready for my big entrance. When I needed something, she immediately ran to the rescue, if something wasn’t going as planned she fixed it immediately.
But beyond her professionalism and talent, what stands out most is her heart. She genuinely cared. We never felt like “just another client.” We felt supported, celebrated, and understood. When my husband and I got back to our hotel room at the end of the night she even straightened up the entire room and made it look like a honeymoon suit for us!
Looking back, hiring Lizzie wasn’t just a good decision, it was one of the best decisions we made. Our wedding was more beautiful than we ever imagined, and that is entirely thanks to her dedication, creativity, and love for what she does. I truly could not have done it without her!! We will forever be grateful.

Lizzie was the absolute best wedding planner! We used her month of wedding planning package and are forever grateful. For the 9 months before our wedding date, Lizzie had monthly check-ins to help with any questions or concerns leading up to the wedding month. This was so helpful and supportive! We did need a few vendor recommendations and used the ones she gave us. The month of our wedding Lizzie handled all the admin and finalized all the timelines and details with each vendor. This was my favorite part because I did not have to worry and trusted her to handle it all. There are already so many small things the bride has to worry about, after already planning the dream day, so to have Lizzie handle all the finalizing and day of coordinating with vendors was truly the highlight for me! The day before, Lizzie came for a walk-through and to see where everything was going to go (decor, signs, etc), which also gave me ease for the big day! Thankful she did come because my seating chart was a room divider that was not staying upright, she came the next day with two support mechanisms she had handy at home! Saved the seating chart! My table numbers I got from a friend were marble with white numbers on them, well I did not check them at all before the big day, and Lizzie found some of the numbers had come off. She had this handled easily with her chalk pen from her emergency kit and fixed the numbers for us. The other major thing was my groom forgot his tie -- Lizzie saved the day with an emergency bowtie also from her kit! It ended up looking better on my groom than his basic black tie! I also only found out about this because the groom texted the family group chat asking for a tie, I thought for one of his friends, but it was himself. I know if he hadn't texted Lizzie would have handled it and I would have heard after the fact. Lizzie had a second helper with her, her sister Katie, who is also a joy to work with! My other big task on wedding day was my dessert table that was cakes surrounded by tons of cookies and Lizzie also helped bring that vision to life and set it up beautifully for our reception! My father-in-law said that Lizzie and Katie were both so great to work with and helped with everything we needed. He applauded their work ethic and professionalism, and I agree! You will truly feel no worries with Hakauna Matata event planning with Lizzie :) -

We cannot say enough amazing things about Lizzie and her incredible team. From the very beginning, she was prompt, organized, and thorough, she never missed a single detail. She anticipated needs we didn’t even know we had, provided thoughtful recommendations, and made herself available to answer every question along the way.
On the wedding day, she went above and beyond in ways we will never forget. At one point, the groom said that he’d need a vodka Red Bull after the ceremony to re-energize. Without hesitation, she went to the store to make sure Red Bull was stocked behind the bar just for him. When we pulled up to the reception, those drinks were waiting for us as we opened the car door. That’s the level of care and attention she brings to everything she does.
We also had an overwhelming number of candles, bud vases, and small décor pieces, and her team handled all of it flawlessly, even though I know it was tedious work! The setup was beautiful. The timeline she created kept the entire day running smoothly and having her manage all vendor communication leading up to the wedding (and especially on the day itself) was an absolute lifesaver.
She and her team exceeded every expectation we had. Our wedding day truly would not have been the same without them, and we are endlessly grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and heart they brought to every detail. She is a must have vendor for your day! -

As I recent bride, I can tell you there are three things you absolutely need to choose correctly on your wedding day:
1. Selecting the right groom (duh)
2. Selecting the right photographer to capture memories that will last forever
3. selecting Lizzie at Hakuna Matata Weddings and Events as your day of coordinator.
While that may sound extreme, I am serious. I truly could not give a higher recommendation for my wedding planner, Lizzie. She was my absolute rock on my wedding day—the reason I was able to completely relax and enjoy every moment with ZERO worries.
I can attribute the joy i felt on this day, the best day of my life - to the lack of stress I had because I knew I had the right groom, my family and friends were present, and because I knew Lizzie and team had all of the details handled. (Is the cake here? I don't know but Lizzie does. Did the groom remember to bring his written vows to the alter? No idea but Lizzie has a backup. Is uncle joe around for family pictures, i haven't seen him? Oh there he is, Lizzie found him)
Lizzie handled everything seamlessly. She organized all of the family photos so I could stay posed in my dress, and she made sure I got every single shot on my list—something truly invaluable, since you only get one chance to capture those memories. She coordinated the DJ and the music, kept the entire day running perfectly on time, set out place cards, and even created my seating chart mirror with the most meticulous precision—each card perfectly measured and spaced.
When it was time for the ceremony, she guided everyone—telling them exactly when it was their turn to walk down the aisle, where to go, and where to stand. No one was stressed or confused, and that peace of mind was priceless.
She coordinated delivery, placement and setup of our dessert table, she bustled my super complicated and heavy dress before my first dance with my husband. She even added the flowers to our cake, making it look absolutely picture perfect..I could go on and on!
Even in the little moments, Lizzie was there. When we went to take our couple photos, I turned around to find her right behind us with glasses of water—something I didn’t even realize I desperately needed after all the happy tears and nerves.
Other guests even came up to me during the night asking, “Where did you find Lizzie? She's fantastic!” That says it all. She wasn’t just my planner; she was the reason my day felt effortless, joyful, and truly perfect.
If you’re considering hiring her—do it. You’ll thank yourself a thousand times over. -

From the day we interviewed Lizzie to be our month of coordinator, my now husband and I both knew right away that she was the one we needed on our side! Lizzie was an absolutely fantastic wedding coordinator. We had her as our month of coordinator, but she checked in once a month with my now wife and I months before our wedding to make sure we were feeling good. When the month of rolled around, she was on top of everything. Seriously. Not a single think got by her, and she was communicative if anything did.
With full confidence I recommend her, x1000. Shoutout to Zack as well, her husband is who assists her on wedding days, and they both made sure that everything was running smooth. I'll start off by saying - if you don't go with Lizzie and her team, you're making a mistake. My husband and I celebrated our wedding day on 01.25.25 at the Jupiter Beach Resort. From our first phone call with Lizzie a year ago to now, we couldn't be more grateful and happy to have had Hakuna Matata coordinate our very special day! We were fortunate enough to not have any big 'hiccups' during the day and even if there were, Lizzie took care of it seamlessly without making it an issue. When it was time to select a coordinator for our wedding, I interviewed several candidates to find the best fit for our big day. As a detail-oriented, type-A planner myself, I needed someone who could flawlessly manage every aspect. Lizzie’s experience stood out, especially her ability to handle last-minute challenges with ease and efficiency. She went above and beyond, keeping us on schedule and ensuring every detail was executed to perfection. From all of the details I had included in the wedding such as the koozies and candles to the frames and florals, Lizzie made sure everything was placed exactly as we envisioned, even reusing our florals from the ceremony through to the reception. Despite us getting ready at a separate location, she coordinated everything—delivering our flowers to the hotel, picking up the desserts, and managing the logistics without a hitch. When the wind picked up right before our ceremony, she quickly adapted by changing the sides we would be standing on and communicated the change smoothly to our wedding party. PERFECT wedding coordinator
We cannot say enough about how amazing Lizzie was in helping us coordinate our wedding. From our first call with her we immediately loved her down-to-earth, warm, friendly, but professional vibe. It felt like talking to an old friend!
Lizzie helped us find the most perfect team of Photographers, DJ, and flowers. We highly valued her opinions and are so glad we did because the team was fabulous and worked so well together.
When the hotel we were having the wedding at looked like a construction zone two months before our wedding (when it was supposed to be done two months earlier) she immediately calmed us down and handled any issues that came up. When the wedding point person at the hotel quit two weeks before the wedding, she also handled that with ease. She acknowledged our feelings, but always made me feel confident that she would do what it takes to ensure we had the perfect wedding.
Lizzie always went above and beyond. We had a destination wedding and she let us ship decorations to her home, she printed out table numbers and put them in frames for us. She communicated with all of our vendors for us in the month before the wedding and made sure the timeline was communicated with everyone.
Lizzie always responded via text or email almost immediately, She was so easy to get in touch with and easy to talk to. She organized a rehearsal the day before the wedding and answered any questions we had.
The day of the wedding was rather warm and she had water at the ready for us while we took photos and held an umbrella over us in between photos so we didn't get too hot. She brought appetizers and drinks to our sweetheart table. She even escorted a baby possum out that tried to crash the reception!!
At the end of the night she brought food, jackets, purses, presents, cards, etc. up to our room. She left a flower petal heart on our bed with a handmade ornament. It had the location and date of our wedding handwritten on it and she put sand from the exact spot we go married in the ornament. She also left emergency kits on each of our night stands with all of the essentials for the morning after.
We LOVED Lizzie, our families loved Lizzie, our bridal party loved Lizzie. She was so friendly, so professional and so competent at everything she did. No matter what craziness happened we had full faith that Lizzie would solve any problem. It was such a nice feeling knowing we didn't have to worry about anything. -

Lizzie is absolutely amazing, I would hire her again no questions asked! Usually something goes wrong at a wedding but that didn't happen for us because of how amazing Lizzie was. She worked with every vendor before the wedding and took care of everything the day before and day of. She even picked up flowers from the florist and drove them to the bakery where our cake was made to have them decorate it. She also put little hangover kits and decorated our suite the night of the wedding for afterwards. She went above and beyond and was very detail oriented with a great personality. She does amazing work and was on top of it the entire time, from early stages of planning to following up after the wedding. Highly recommend! -

She paid attention to all the details, even drove to the florist to pick up the fresh flowers for the wedding cake and dropped them off at the bakery, to make our day easier. Lizzie helped make our wedding day so special. She was quick to respond, always empathizing and validating during stressful moments, and effective in problem-solving. Before the wedding day, she offered to help take things off my to-do list by contacting vendors for me and getting the final details solidified. Lizzie was not just amazing leading up to the wedding but she was even more impressive on our wedding day. I made the mistake of eating a bagel the morning of the wedding and when we arrived at the ceremony site I realized I needed floss. Of course, Lizzie had this among many other supplies that I would not have thought to bring with me. While coordinating our timeline, managing vendors, and helping set up small things (water station, signage decor, etc.) Lizzie was there to help bustle my dress when no one else could figure it out. Hiring Lizzie was the best decision I made for my wedding day and I am beyond grateful for all the help she and her husband (her assistant for the day) had offered me. I can promise you won't regret hiring her so definitely act fast and book her before someone else does.
Oh! I forgot to mention, that the day after the wedding, Lizzie shared a google drive of photos and videos she had taken throughout the wedding day so I had things to look at and post on social media since my photographer wasn't offering me any sneak peeks. I would never have thought this to be important but let me tell you, it is! The day after the wedding, I had some blue feelings but the content she gathered helped balance out my emotions. Now, as I wait to get my photos back from my photographer I can reminisce and feel the joy from our wedding day because of Lizzie and her thoughtfulness. -

We were married on 11/18/22 at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, and I cannot believe how stress free the entire day was because of Lizzie and her Sister. She handled everything so quickly and professionally it was amazing! Every walk through, explanation, and coordination of our wedding was completely seamless! We found out later from family that a few issues came up during the wedding, and we had no idea that anything happened because Lizzie took care of it immediately. If you are on the fence about hiring Hakuna Matata Weddings & Events, I highly recommend that you do. I had no idea how valuable this service would be until that last month before my wedding. Lizzie came in and took over putting all of the pieces together. Especially at a time when I about had it with wedding stuff! The day of was absolutely smooth and perfect. We had a very difficult situation arise, where my mother passed away 3 weeks before our wedding date. Unfortunately, that caused us to change our wedding date and Lizzie was an angel. At my toughest most vulnerable time, Lizzie helped pick us up and made our day absolutely magical! Apart from that- our wedding day morning, there was a massive storm and our ceremony was to be outside. With the utmost professionalism, Lizzie was ready to handle anything! The weather cleared beautifully, and we were able to still have it outside, but Lizzie was patient, calm and ready.
