Amazing Anniversary

We wanted a special 5 year Anniversary Party, so we chose Grit & Gold. Lottie and her team were simply amazing! We planned every detail to be fabulous over a year in the making, and the day of the party we arrived an hour before to preview things and were simply blown away! There were so many extra touches, and incorporated items from our conversations that it just felt like we were truly King & Queen for the day. Even the vendor teams were somehow on board with going above and beyond, with a dance floor imprinted with a floral pattern from the invitation, and flowers that seemed to be literally blooming alive in our presence every moment and around every corner! From the cocktail hour, to the final hoorah, 5 hours later, we celebrated like it was our wedding night all over again. We always thought when we met one another that our lives intersected at the most perfect time, and after this party orchestrated by Grit & Gold, we really do believe in magic!

The perfect combo of design and vendor planning

Lottie made our wedding an absolute dream. I was originally drawn to her because she offers wedding design services, something I knew I needed help with to accomplish my vision. She 100% delivered. I have received so many compliments from people calling to specifically tell me how beautiful the wedding was. On top of that, she recommended vendors that made the night so much fun! I can't imagine anything better than a planner who can deliver on both design and overall vibe to create the perfect night.

AMAZING! Exceeded all expectations!

WOW! What can I say...hiring Lottie/Grit & Gold was hands down one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning process. When our venue cancelled 2 months before our wedding date, and we had to move our reception to my fiance's parents' home, Lottie jumped in immediately with an AMAZING design plan. She made the design of our wedding reception better than we could have ever dreamed of. She is very responsive in her communication with her clients and vendors, and has an amazing eye for design. I absolutely loved working with Lottie to plan our recent wedding! I chose to work with her and her team after viewing her portfolio and falling in love with the aesthetics of her past weddings. She was a huge resource to me as she is connected with some of the very best vendors in Fort Worth. She not only helped book vendors and plan all the logistics of the event, but she also created a vision for our wedding which is something that takes true talent. She was so wonderful to work with; she is empathetic, kind and understanding. I didn't have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day; she had everything handled! About harlf years ago when I was planning my destination wedding in los cabos, I had difficulties to keep my timeline on track and collecting all the losen parts to tie out the entire theme of my wedding. And at that time Lottie's website caught my attention. The quality of all her work profiles were consistent in high quality, and she got not a lot but perfect reviews. I decided to work with her after we got on a phone call. And later on I realized it was the best decision I could make for my wedding planning. First of all, which is the most import quality for me is that Lottie has absolutely beautiful taste for classy and sophistic weddings. If you are looking for this kind of style, she is the right choice. What's completes her excellent work is that she is extremely organized and responsive. Although we only had one meeting in person, I never doubt that lottie would do the right thing to take care of the planning. She always replied my email and text right away, or let us know her plan ahead of time if she would be tied up with events. And she created a spreadsheet to specify all important details including timeline, seating charts, vendor contacts ect. Lottie even helped me had a phone call meeting with my florist to specify the exact color, name of the flowers and the decors we were going to use. Without her professionality it would be impossible to get the result anything close to what we had right now. And speaking of Jennifer, who designed our wedding gift and signing board, I had to say she is a real artist and delivers beautiful work beyond our expectations.

It was not until 6 months after I started my own wedding planning that I had a clear vision of the style I was looking for. I was hesitating at begining to bring planner on board for a lot of reasons. But right now looking at the end product I have to say it was never too late to work with the right person!

I'm a wedding planner and designer based in DFW, and I hired Grit + Gold to manage the Month Of Coordination of my wedding in Vail, Colorado. I'm extremely logistically minded and detail oriented, and Lottie and her team made the last month leading up to my wedding a breeze. They confirmed details with all of my vendors and navigated me through any issues that I overlooked with amazing guidance and advice. They are so knowledgeable and have a wealth of experience that will ensure that you are well taken care of. The weekend of my wedding was an absolute dream and everything went perfectly down to the smallest detail, because of the Grit + Gold team. I didn't even notice the color of the napkins or the specialty dishware that I so carefully chose, because I was having too much fun with all of my guests enjoying the weekend! Lottie and team are a kickass group and I wouldn't have trusted anyone else with my big day. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Lottie Fowler has got it going on. I interviewed 7 different Wedding Planners before finally finding Lottie and I can not be more thankful! She is professional yet so friendly, creative and inspirational, respectful of your time, money and opinions and can throw one heck of a party!
Lottie helped us take a plot of land on our families ranch and build the most beautiful environment from the ground up. She truly transformed the space and handled everything from electrical placement to incorporating sweet family pieces into my set up. The week of my outdoor wedding the weather forecast changed from sunny and 75 to thunderstorms and hail ALL WEEK. As I entered my bridal meltdown 4 days before the wedding Lottie was at my side saving the day- coordinating with vendors, adding tents, addressing multiple plans just in case and keeping me calm telling me "its going to be beautiful, your going to get married, the rain will not stop us!" If this wasn't enough, on our wedding day as we were ready to leave our get away car got lost on the ranch roads so Lottie pulled up her car placed our bags in it and saved the day with a sweet sacrifice. I can not say it enough, Grit + Gold was the MVP of my wedding planning season and one heck of a player on the wedding day. You can not go wrong with Grit + Gold, I wouldn't have changed my experience one bit. So much love to them!!!

Lottie Fowler, owner of Grit + Gold, choreographed our wedding and designed such a beautiful wedding-scape that even the heavens had to cry a little bit the morning of the day of celebration. A year prior when we had first met her, we knew instantly that she was the one for us! When we began discussing our vision, her excitement and enthusiasm made it seem as if she had already somehow been inside our minds and carved every crazy detail into sculpted fruition a million times before. A year later we too cried, with joy, as we danced into our reception, seeing everything we had dreamed of! Lottie and her team made our wedding day an absolute DREAM!!! Grit+Gold was the best money we spent by far! We purchased the "4-Point" package for coordination on the day of and our planner Jennifer Gardner was so organized and really took the time to get to know us personally and understand our vision. The result was an absolutely magical backdrop for our special day. Admittedly, I obsessed over every decision and dollar we spent but they were so patient and earned our trust with their relentless attention to detail and creativity. The one word to describe what Lottie meant to us is “lifesaver.” For busy, over-stressed brides-to-be, I would definitely recommend having a wedding planner, and I would say Lottie is the best of the best. There was never a question of who I wanted to be there to make sure our wedding day was perfect! Jennifer was great and made all of our vendors feel informed and ready for our day.

She arrived early and made sure to keep the day flowing and keep everyone prepared and calm. I loved being around her because she never seemed stressed or worried. I can not express the value Grit + Gold added to our wedding. Working with Jennifer as our Day of Coordinator truly made everything less stressful and fall into place perfectly. She was in constant contact with all our vendors and created a timeline of exactly what was going to happen during the wedding weekend. She was super organized, professional but most of all EXCELLENT AT HER ROLE. My mom was super stressed and by hiring Grit + Gold she could spend more time with me on my big day. Jennifer put me as ease which usually is impossible. Her calm nature during what is usually a very stressful time helped us be able to actually enjoy ourselves. She worked perfectly will all my other vendors and her creative design truly came together and created a beautiful wedding/reception. We could not have done it without her and she was worth EVERY PENNY. I will be forever grateful for her & would recommend them to anyone getting married. We could not afford a full time wedding planner. ive said it many times before....my only regret was NOT having lottie since the beginning! we meet about 3 months before the wedding when i finally thought to myself "im going to go nuts" she came in and automatically took a HUGE load off my shoulders!!!! i finally felt like i could just relax and truly enjoy the planning process and all my diy stuff!

she completely understood my vision (which was a major thing for me) and even brought in her own swagger and we killed it together!

so ladies if you are not a typical ballroom type of girl and are searching for someone that will not only give you a beautiful wedding but also a unique one...search no more!

I have worked with Couture Events by Lottie on several occastions. I have the opportunity of working with Lottie Fowler directly and she has been such a blessing to work with. This photo shoot in particular was for my daughter's 10th birthday which is a very special time for us. Lottie showed up on time and NO cancellation was even mentioned about although it was raining and very early 8am shoot! I was shocked that she was on time and very prepared and ready to go with all the rain and the distance she had to drive and was very happy to work with us! She took us to a prime location that was stunning! She had all the props and camera everything was ready. She made my daughters special day one we will NEVER forget! Thank you so much Lottie! We love Couture Events by Lottie and would reccomend her for a wedding or photo shoot! Lottie is so wonderful for a wedding planner. We planned Johnny's and my wedding in 2 1/2 weeks and everything turned out beautiful. She suggested a place in Lewisville and I took a look at it and knew that was the place to be married. They gave me a discount because they had done weddings with Lottie before and knew she made everything happen. She suggested a pastor and after a meeting with him, I signed a contract and he gave me a discount since Lottie referred me. He said he loved doing weddings with her because everything always went smooth.

The best advice Lottie gave me was to enjoy having my wedding pictures taken and take them having fun. We were married in "old" downtown Lewisville and it made great pictures in several places of the downtown. I will always treasure the pictures and us not having the traditional wedding pictures.

Lottie has the experience and the expertise that will make your day so special. Nothing to worry about except walking down the aisle with a smile. I am so thankful that Lottie made my wedding perfect.

Lottie is so great! I only had a four month engagement and for one of those months was still living in Arkansas finishing up my senior year! Without Lottie's help, the process would have been so stressful! She always found the best deals and gave us insider's tips and tricks! Any decor I ordered I had shipped to HER house and then she took care of it from there, so convenient! The day of our wedding, I did not lift a finger! I just showed up and everything was perfect! Everyone kept complimenting on what a calm and laid back bride I was, but I know that it was only because Lottie knew how to take care of business!!

Lottie is also very flexible! Midway through the process I wasn't 100% loving the direction we were going with some of the design elements and Lottie completely rearranged it! THAT is a great wedding coordinator, one who listens to a brides wants and needs and makes it happen! My wedding was everything I dreamed of and MORE. I thought that with having a short engagement I would have to compromise on things that I wanted but Lottie made it happen. I never believed that I would get to have such an incredible wedding! I was blown away!

Lastly, Lottie is a woman of integrity. On our first consultation, Lottie easily could have tried to sell me her most expensive package just because I didn't really know any better and needed a lot of help and she did not. She listened to my mom and I's desires and set us up with the package that best suited us. That made me really respect and trust Lottie. She is not out to spend your money, she's out to save it. And that she did! Lottie rocks!!

I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't had Couture Events planning my wedding, Lottie made my life so stress free, she went above and beyond making sure my day was nothing but perfect. You can never go wrong with Couture Events working for you, she did an awesome job, I would most definitly recommend Lottie to every bride looking for a planner.

If you're creative and want a wedding that is slightly more memorable than the average ballroom affair....hire Lottie.

If you avoid conflict because you want to be on good terms with all vendors, but truly need to get a backbone...hire Lottie. She'll take the stress out of your engagement, so you can just enjoy the short and cherished time of being a fiance!

If you want somebody on your team who will quickly respond, who is easy to get in touch with, and who is already well established in the business....hire Lottie.

She knows the right people, she has unbelievable skills, and she is fresh and young while still having enough experience under her belt. She's the epitome of 'cool,' while still having enough sense to run a business. This woman is IT. I'm telling you, I could not have had the wedding of my dreams without her. If you're questioning whether or not she's worth it, I can assure you, SHE IS.

We could never have pulled off a DIY beautiful vintage wedding in less than 4 months (which we did) or even 4 years without Lottie!! Her creativitiy and personality was a perfect fit for my daughter and she was always available, usually within in minutes, to answer questions and provide feedback. She was approachable and professional, yet also assertive when needed with vendors. I whole heartedly refer Lottie, Jenn and Clint to anyone planning a wedding, particularly in a blank slate venue where all rentals are required. Weddings cost a lot of money- but this is not one area that you should question spending your money on. It's more important than any other check you write and definitely the best value!

Communication!!! The more you talk with your wedding planner the better. This helps put you at ease the day of and also helps your planner make everything PERFECT:) Also, don't leave the little details to the end. This is what makes your wedding so special but takes lots of time. And all brides should know about Pinterest:) it really helps with ideas.

Lottie with Couture Events is so amazing and talanted! She created the most beautiful, wonderful day for me and my husband. She is so efficient with her time and she was avaiable to communicate whenever I needed her. She would send me ideas weekly about thinkgs we could add or create to make my wedding better. I love that! She is everything you would want and or need for such a special occassion! Since I only have one chance to get this day right, it was so important to have someone to finalize all the details! It allowed me to enjoy the process and more importantly enjoy our day! Lottie was probably one of the best things that happened to my wedding! I hired her to handle Day of Coordination and I guess my only regret was that I didn't get the full on package to handle even more of the details.

Lottie had great, unique ideas, was always on the ball and super organized. She had no issues pushing vendors and handling issues before and during the wedding (ie party crashers off the street, or photographers having words with caterers... she handled it all!)

I couldn't recommend her enough.

Lottie and the Couture team did a fantastic job handling our wedding! Lottie made sure every detail was handled exactly the way we wanted it. Along with taking care of all the advance preparation, the "day of" coordination made it possible for us to enjoy our own wedding, rather than being stuck with all the work involved with making sure the day runs smoothly.

Lottie was great to work with! We hired her as our Day of Coordinator but she really did so much more. She helped me in the few months pull everything together, including putting together a timeline, schedule, and she really thought about little details I didn't even think of. Not only did she think of creative solutions. But she helped me implement last minute personal touches just days before my wedding. I would definitely recommend her and Jenn to anyone!

How did wedding planner make your day special? Oh my, how did Lottie and Clint not make my day special? I didnt have to worry about a thing. I was actually able to enjoy my day. People would call and ask me if everything was done and I would say "Im sure Lottie has it under control" and when I got to the venue to get dressed and ready for the evening, there Mrs. Lottie (pregnant and all) was running around putting flowers together for the awesome centerpieces or directing other vendors on where they needed to be. Lottie wasnt just awesome that day, SHE WAS AWESOME FOR THE WHOLE YEAR IT TOOK TO PLAN!

Useful suggestions, tips, wisdom your planner offered? Anything and everything. Lottie was able to have fun with my wedding and I gave her almost full sontrol after I explained to her what I wanted. She is so amazing and was so full of ideas that havent even been seen in the magazines yet but Im sure they soon will, probably with Lottie's picture next to them! She's got the touch thats for sure!
How the planner reduced your inner-Bridezilla? I wasnt a Bridezilla (of course I am not going to admit it if I were) but Lottie made it to where I worried about nothing. I was never worried, I was never nervous either. She had everything handled and when problems arose (there were only like 2) she called and handled them with sheer class.

When I tell you that we are truly blessed to have met Miss Lottie and her crew - I mean it! First of all, she has such a sweet personality, there is no way you couldn't get a long with her. We started out with a very limited budget to begin with, but you wouldn't know it by looking at our wedding. I never had a "dream wedding" because I knew I wouldn't be able to afford one, but Lottie made my non-existent dream happen! Our theme was autumn and she made it look classy and beautiful. My guests couldn't stop talking about how nice everything looked. I even had co-workers who weren't in attendance but saw pictures rave about how beautiful our day looked.

At first, we didn't think we could afford a planner, but with what all Lottie saved us and took the stress off of us, she is invaluable! We have no regrets in choosing Lottie and if you want someone who truly cares about the couples' well being, there is no need to look any further than Couture Events.

Lottie was fabulous! Our wedding was gorgeous and ran very smoothly. I have heard nothing but positive feedback from our guests. Her attention for detail ensured that everything was taken care of and previously thought out so there were no last minute..."oh, no!" moments! As the bride, I appreciated her making sure that I had something to eat and drink since I spent most of the night mingling and dancing! I was very pleased and impressed with the level of care and intention to detail that was used at my sisters wedding. Lottie was able to take my vision and make it a reality. The day was awesome, we all ended up having a wonderful time and the couple is now happily married!

Wow! Lottie planned, and executed beautifully, a post-baby baby shower for me and my four month old, as we live out of state away from all of my friends and family. All I had to do was provide a list of people I wanted invited! She was amazing: called everyone, did invitations everyone talked about, decorated the event, and kept things running smoothly in a house full of people I hadn't seen in almost two years. What's more is she made it fun and casual for couples, while still seeming designed. My favorite part? A custom cake with the actual first chord of music from a song with my son's name in it "Hey Jude".

She is certainly more than just a wedding planner. She is organized with both the talent and passion for all the events you need to bring people together for. Again, WOW.

Lottie was simply amazing. She made our wedding day absolutely beautiful and perfect! To say that she went above and beyond is an understatement. She has a great unique style that is really hard to find with other planners who only specialize in the cookie cutter "princess" weddings....though she can definitely do that too, if that's what you're looking for.
I HIGHLY recommend her services! You will not be dissapointed. In fact, it's pretty much impossible to be dissapointed when working with her!

I had a fantastic time at my lingerie party! Lottie was excellent on making sure we all had a great time and that everything looked great as well as being very organized. My cake, napkins and everything all matched and the cake was fantastic and adorable-she did a great job picking it out. We had a great time and everyone was thrilled with the way it all turned out. Lottie has got to be the best wedding planner in Dallas. She is very creative and fun, but still very professional and organized. I can't imagine having anyone else help me with our wedding planner or styled engagement shoot. She made us look cool in our shoot and the pictures are adorable. We also had fun and she even got my fiancé to smile the whole time. Thank you to Matt and Julie photography as well, they are great fun to work with. I can't wait to have this duo at my wedding as well!! They are the best and I recommend them to any bride in the DFW area. Also, they are both very reasonably priced for the high level of service they provide. I am extremely happy with their services.

I got married this spring while working and attending grad school full time. Needless to say, I was a scatterbrained bride! I would have weeks of no planning, then bursts of questions and requests - Lottie took it all in stride! I often got responses to emails back within 5 minutes! Lottie did a great job of helping me find a wedding venue at fit within my budget, managed all of my vendors so that I did not have to worry about the details right before the wedding and kept me on track with my own to-do list.

I was incredibly satisfied with my experience with Grit & Gold. Lottie understood my style and vision (better than I did!) and executed it beautifully. Lottie is a great mix of visionary and listener and she puts together an event that is truly "you" and that guests will rave about. I hired Lottie as a day-of coordinator for my wedding.

On my wedding day. I WAS NEVER ONCE CONTACTED BY HER in any way ALL DAY, she never told me what was next, where to be/when, never checked in on me.

She was supposed to get my car keys from me that day to load gifts & personal items into. Instead she ended up not only bugging my in laws to use their car but she HAD MY FATHER IN LAW LOAD EVERYTHING IN THE CAR. IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS SON’S WEDDING RECEPTION he made 4-5 trips arms full of stuff she kept bringing him. Who in their right mind would let that happen?!

I had asked her to stay the whole day during the planning process but she said it wasn't in the contract for her to wrap up so she would leave after the bouquet/garter toss because it “all runs itself after that anyway”.
Not only did it not run itself but she ENDED UP LEAVING EARLIER THAN AGREED UPON.

She abandoned her work early!

She went up to my in laws and said her cell phone battery had died so she was leaving. I have no words for the amount of unprofessionalism.

She did NOT gather ALL personal items as the contract stated she would. SOO much stuff was left behind (prob because she left EARLY) My special cake topper, my bouquet with my “something blue” rosary and grandmother’s brooch on it, cards, gifts, my veil, mementos and extra wedding favors, etc.

My entire goal of getting a day-of coordinator was that my family and I wouldn't have to worry about anything on the day-of. This didn't happen.

It honestly would have been better not to have had her at all so that we wouldn't have assumed things were being taken care of.

My photographer ended up being my right-hand woman that day. She ran the show. She was amazing, thank God for her!

She came highly recommended but I was sorely disappointed. You can’t rely on her. Most of these reviews are from her “Couture Events” days. This new Grit+Gold company she’s in now somehow hasn’t been good for her.
Save your money.
