The Best Planners!

Kate and Jen and Elevate Green Events, formerly known as Green Apple Weddings & Events, were the absolute best wedding planners a couple could ask for! The one detail we knew going into wedding planning was our venue, and upon speaking with the venue coordinator, they highly suggested we hire Kate and Jen as our planners - that night, we immediately sent the email to check their availability and thank goodness we were able to book them - they were the best planners we didn't even know we needed! From our first call with Kate and Jen, they were so great to chat with and understood our vision for our wedding immediately. They made recommendations for every single vendor and we went with only those they recommended to us - all of whom turned our amazing! Kate and Jen were so organized and available to us through the entirety of the wedding planning process; they thought of everything, and it never seemed overwhelming to plan our big day because they were such excellent partners and guided us every step of the way! Our wedding was in New York City and they have such good relationships with so many vendors in and around the city; they knew personally our venue and Church coordinators before we did, they even have an in-house rentals business we chose to utilize, and all of this made it so easy to trust them with all of the planning! Aside from being excellent planners, they are such kind people as well, and we had a great time just chatting with them during each planning session. On the day of, they took care of absolutely everything - they made our vision come to life and the day / night couldn't have been more beautiful and perfect! We are so, so grateful for Kate and Jen and we miss them already. We definitely highly recommend them as event planners / designers for anyone looking to hire the best professionals - we would choose them all over again!

One of the best decisions we made!

Green Apple Weddings/Kate and Jen were one of the best decisions we made for our wedding in June 2023! We hired them for day of coordination, design planning and rentals for our wedding and they took our vision of a dream wedding and made it a reality!

Wedding planning went so smoothly and was less stressful because we had Kate and Jen on our team. They helped coordinate with our multiple vendors and were very communicative leading up to the day. Any question that we may have had, they answered very quickly! Kate was available for site visits, last walkthroughs, she was our right hand throughout the entire planning process.

On the day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Any minor issue that arose, Kate and team handled with ease and we are so grateful. Without them , I’m definitely sure we would not have been so calm and confident about the events for the day! We look back at our wedding gallery from the day and want to relive the day over and over!

Best decision we made to help us enjoy our daughters wedding

Green Apple weddings & Events are the best!! I can't say enough good things about Kate and her assistant Jennifer. Kate and Jennifer help with my daughters wedding, which was beautiful, with a big help from these lovely ladies. Kate came in the last few months of us organizing the wedding.
We need help bringing it home and picking up the pieces that we might have missed. Kate kept us focused and help us tie up the loose ends. Reaching out to all the venders to make sure things were in order, suggestions and ideas on how to handle certain things. We had a barn wedding and there were many thing that we needed to be creative about solving.
Kate's help on the day of the wedding kept everything flowing with ease so we could enjoy the wedding without thinking about all the details. We could not have Accomplished the beautiful wedding that we had without Green Apple Weddings & Events! You guys are the best!! Thank you, Thank you!!!

Kate and Jen are the best!

We never expected to have the perfect wedding, but thanks to Kate and Jen/Green Apple, we truly had the perfect wedding for us. It was more than we could have ever dreamed of, and Kate and Jen made the process so easy. Between choosing the venue, picking the band, dealing with COVID uncertainties, actually running the show the day of, and a million other things, they were always responsive, patient, and so much fun to work with. It’s hard to know what the perfect wedding will look like ahead of time, and although we had some vague general ideas and a couple weirdly specific requests, we weren’t really sure about how it would all come together. Kate and Jen took the time to listen to us, giving us formal questions and plenty of their time to talk things out informally. It felt like they immediately got what we were saying and had ideas about how to make our wedding come to life. They were honest when they thought something might not work, and creative when we were trying to come up with solutions to an issue. All of that was so important because it could often feel really hard to plan a wedding while managing two busy careers and everything else in our lives, and it was so reassuring to know we had them making sure everything was on track. Their experience and their willingness to get to know us made everything come together that whole weekend in a way we’ll never forget. The best part about working with Kate and Jen is how much they clearly LOVE what they do, and truly feel invested in the couples that they are planning with. This really does not feel like just a job to them, and we felt so supported throughout by their warm and personal approach. We genuinely miss them so much already, and it's only been a month since our wedding.

Made our wedding perfection

Kate and Jen are the absolute best. They made our day so seamless and magical, and were so accommodating in the ~years~ (COVID wedding, hello!) we spent planning our amazing day. They were always positive, upbeat, warm and calming. They also never pushed us to spend more and we actually ended up under budget. Our wedding venue was very bare-bones and they helped us coordinate with so many vendors to make everything run smoothly. Thank goodness for them!

Allow me to set the scene for you. We had just gotten done cancelling our “dream wedding” due to COVID. We still wanted to get married on our original date, but had to start from scratch to come up with a plan for a safe, socially distant mini-wedding. Enter Jen and Kate of Green Apple Weddings. They worked tirelessly (and I don’t use that term lightly!) to help us plan an event at a house upstate that is not set up for large events. From working directly with vendors, to helping us know what questions to ask, to visiting the site in person with us to develop a run of show, they guided us every step of the way. We had no idea how many little details go into putting a wedding together, but we never felt overwhelmed because we knew Jen and Kate had our backs! They even helped supply us with decorations for our socially-distant reception and oversaw our rehearsal. In all sincerity, there is no way we could have pulled off our special day without their incredible skill. We are truly grateful for Green Apple and recommend them whole-heartedly. Special Bonus: They are super down to earth and fun to be around!

A+ doesn't begin to describe it

Hiring Green Apple Weddings was easily the best decision my husband and I made at any point in the wedding planning process, not counting—you know—deciding to get married. Kate and Jen are incredibly warm and incredibly professional and made sure our wedding day was a delight and a breeze. They absolutely went above and beyond, expertly handling kooky family members and doing things we hadn't even asked of them to ensure an amazing experience for our guests (and for us, too!). They also provided incredibly valuable advice and recommendations and, effectively, therapy via email in the months leading up to the wedding!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Kate and Jen! We hired Green Apple for our Day of Coordination and everything went so smoothly. I felt immediately at ease after speaking with Kate for the first time. We had a pretty quick turn around for our wedding and Kate help me prioritize everything we'd need. She and Jen are patient and understanding, they made great vendor recommendations, and didn't miss a beat on the day of details. Efficient, gracious and KIND!

We absolutely loved working with Green Apple for our end-of-October wedding. Not only were they extremely helpful in pulling together and tracking the logistics, but they provided really necessary emotional support that made a huge difference for us. The family dynamics at weddings are always heavy (so much projection!) and Jen was such a rock for us, running major interference and keeping our stress levels low leading up to the event. The day itself was a total dream - they kept everything moving and were so efficient and gracious that we hardly noticed them at all (which I think is a good thing!) Really just a lovely group of women!

I don’t think we can say enough good things about our experience with Kate and Jennifer from Green Apple Weddings, or recommend them highly enough! My husband and I got engaged while we were both in grad school. We knew we would both be in school until after the wedding itself, and were pretty anxious about orchestrating a wedding -- quite the feat at the best of times! -- with our student schedules and workloads. We heard of Green Apple Weddings through a family friend and decided to meet with Kate, and from the beginning it felt like the universe had dropped a gift right into our laps. Initially we weren’t sure what level of planning assistance we wanted, but after talking with her we decided on the full service option, and we are both *so* grateful that we did! Kate was such a calm, kind, steady, practical, and caring presence right from Day 1. At that first meeting we really only had a broad strokes vision of what we wanted -- a celebration focused on fellowship, good food, and dancing, with a priority on the comfort and enjoyment of friends and family -- but Kate instantly *got* the feeling we wanted to create, and was excited to help us make that a reality: something to celebrate not only our relationship, but our whole community of loved ones. We knew we wanted to host several meals open to all guests, as well as the ceremony and reception, outdoors on a family farm in rural Connecticut in October (not the easiest place to get to). We knew that meant a TON of logistical planning, but I don’t think we truly appreciated how many moving pieces there would be to contend with. We’re so thankful they were there for us! I absolutely adore Kate! We brought Kate on to help us as our "day of coordinator" and to oversee the design / decor for our ceremony & reception. Not only did she help my husband and I create the most magical wedding day, but she went above and beyond every single step of the way from the moment we first connected. My husband and I currently live in Los Angeles, but we both grew up on the east coast and had our hearts set on a wedding venue we found in Milton, NY (the Buttermilk Falls Inn - which is AMAZING for those of you looking for venues in New York!). We wanted to keep the wedding on the smaller side (ended up being at 75 guests) and our budget was limited, but I knew I would need a partner-in-crime planning, maintaining sanity and organizing so many moving pieces from the other side of the country - and most importantly, that it would allow me to really take every little moment in and be truly present on our wedding day. That feeling was priceless and I can say wholeheartedly that Kate made it worth every single penny. It was the best gift I could have given myself. She was a wedding guardian angel from day one - helping us navigate all the ins and outs of vendors, decor decisions, family and all the things in between - and, as I've told her many times already, just because the wedding is over doesn't mean she's rid of me!! I'm so grateful that our world's collided and feel lucky to have had the chance to work with someone as kind, thoughtful and talented as Kate on such an important moment in my life.

Kate and her team were invaluable to us throughout the planning process and of course on the actual wedding day. I got married a little over a month ago at the Metropolitan Building in my neighborhood of Long Island City, Queens. I found Green Apple Weddings while looking on instagram at photos taken at the venue. I reached out to Kate and wound up booking Green Apple for day of coordination. I thought that a day of coordinator would mainly be responsible for speaking with vendors the actual day of my wedding, letting them know where to go, where things should be delivered, etc. I thought at most they would help assemble my table decorations. What Kate and Jennifer did went above and beyond what we thought a day of coordinator would do. They advised us throughout the entire process of planning our wedding. They were extremely responsive to all of our emails and questions, and helped us to make decisions and book the best vendors to fulfill our wedding vision! We were having a difficult time envisioning our wedding until we met with Kate at our venue and walked through the event. She helped us figure out exactly where everything would be and together we created a detailed timeline. I could go on and on about how helpful I found them, but the most important thing I can say is that our wedding was exactly how we wanted it, down to the very last detail! I must say also, that in addition to being super organized and professional, Kate and Jennifer are also very warm and fun! My husband and I both agree that they were crucial to the success of our wedding.

My husband and I hired Green Apple Weddings & Events for partial planning services for our June 2017 wedding. Let's start here- there's absolutely no way we could have had such a perfect wedding day without Kate & Jennifer. They were available to answer our questions (as ridiculous as these questions may have been at times) from the moment we hired them to be a part of our day. Our wedding was held at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City and while the staff there is wonderful, there isn't a day of coordinator to help with all the details leading up to the day. As funny as it sounds, the reason I decided I was hiring a wedding planner was because I had a moment about halfway through planning where I thought to myself "who's going to cue the music and make sure we all know when to walk down the aisle?"While my husband was initially skeptical and it wasn't a cost we had budgeted for, he agreed. Enter Kate. She knows the Metropolitan Building like the back of her hand (seriously. I think our wedding was like her 106th here). About 6 weeks before our wedding, we did a walk through with Kate to select items, go over floor plans and just talk about the experience we want our guests to have. We walked out that day and my husband exhaled and said "this is literally the best money we've ever spent. No way we could do this without her".

Kate & Jen did what we feel was so beyond partial planning. They contacted vendors, created floor plans and timelines for the day, helped us select antiques to be used to decorate the space, eased any nerves we had and yes, told us when it was time to walk down the aisle.

Wedding planning involves so many details. We are eternally grateful for Kate & Jen's help throughout our engagement and on our wedding day. My husband and I are both sad we don't get to talk to them anymore but hopefully our paths cross again soon!

Book Green Apple Weddings & Events. Make room in the budget. It will be the best money you've ever spent.

We are not sure where to begin with our praise for Kate and the Green Apple Weddings team. Kate brainstormed all our crazy thoughts with us and from start to finish was incredibly generous with her time, recommendations, referrals and expertise. She was a sounding board for us and guided us off the edge on a few occasions. She has resources for every thing you could possible want and we mean ever thing!!! We can't even imagine what else she could have done for us! Her expertise in planning and managing a wedding was invaluable, her production skills came shining through. From the moment we arrived in the morning she was in control which allowed us to have fun all 12 hours of our wedding day. Kate provided Day-of Coordination services for my Hudson Valley wedding on 10/8/16. Hiring Kate to be my coordinator was the best decision I made in the planning process! For a day-of coordinator, she truly exceeded my expectations, as she was so involved and helpful from the very beginning. Throughout the entire planning process, Kate was always available via email or phone to answer my questions and provide support/advice. Kate met us at the venue for a planning meeting and walk-through prior to the wedding, which was so helpful. She really knew the venue and had great ideas for placement of decor. Prior to the wedding, she confirmed and finalized schedules for all of my vendors, which really took the stress and pressure off of me. She worked with our officiant to coordinate and run the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, which helped everyone feel prepared and at ease. On the wedding day, me, my husband and our parents were able to truly relax and enjoy the day, since Kate was on top of everything. Kate's assistant was unfortunately ill on my wedding day, so her husband stepped in as an assistant to lend an extra hand. This really showed to me how devoted Kate is and how willing she is to go above and beyond! Kate ensured that everything went smoothly at the wedding. It felt like everything magically fell into place, but I know that it was Kate working her magic behind the scenes. I can't thank her enough for helping to make our wedding day so perfect!

I've worked with Kate O'Donnell Diaz in 2013 on a last-minute wedding for my boss who was overseas until the day before the ceremony. We had three weeks to pull off a 100+ guest list at Riverside Church (ceremony) and at Columbia University (reception). Kate artfully managed the circus and I was actually able to be a guest. She was calm, collected and professional, and the event was a success.

Therefore, it was a no-brainer to re-hire Kate when I moved to another job in 2015 and was tasked with planning a gala at the United Nations. Kate handled the last-minute emergencies seamlessly. Incredibly, I was again able to enjoy the evening as a guest as Kate adeptly smoothed out the behind-the-scenes hiccups.

I highly recommend Kate, and will certainly hire her again for any future event planning.

Kate is just the best. She was my "day of coordinator" for my wedding, but really she was so much more. We got married at the Metropolitan Building in LIC and she knows the place like the back of her hand. Any time I had the most random of question, she either had the answer or went out of her way to get it for me. She was also great at referring me to other amazing vendors who all did a fabulous job. Beyond being a wonderful resource for me leading up to the day, I am so glad she was there on the day of. Everything went off without a hitch (that I know of -- which is exactly how it should be!) and I have her to thank for that. On a day that can feel a bit wild and crazy, she is so calming to be around, which I am so grateful for. I highly recommend her!!

Kate from Green Apple Weddings was fantastic. I hired her for my rehearsal coordination & my wedding day coordination. However, she was available to me the entire year before over email, incredible responsive and detailed with her advice and vendor recommendations. I knew instantly that she understood my vision for the day. She had worked at my venue before, which made it even more fantastic, because she knew how to really turn it into a spectacular space.

When we did our walk-thru, I think I must have talked a mile a minute, and she amazingly took everything down, and remembered all the details we had discussed!

My wedding day was executed better than I could have ever imagined. After a year of detailed planning on my end, I trusted Kate completely to bring it all to life. The day of my wedding, I didn't have to lift a finger. Kate completely took over, and I was able to sit and enjoy my bridesmaids, hair and makeup, and every minute of the wedding itself. My guests are still raving about the day. I know that a huge part of it had to do with choosing Kate as my wedding day coordinator. I feel so grateful to have found her, she is also one of the nicest and most laid-back "planners" I have ever met!

I can not say enough good things about Kate and Leah. Although I only hired them for partial day-of coordination and to source, assembly and deliver my favors they were so responsive, helpful and treated me as though I were one of their biggest clients. I had the idea to provide apple cider and donuts as a favor for my fall wedding and they came up with a great plan. They sourced the products, packaged them beautifully and arranged the most adorable display, along with a bushel barrel of apples that my guest are all still raving about. My only regret is that I didn't go with the full day-of package they offered. Note to brides, you may not think you need a day-of coordinator, but do it. It will make your day so much less stressful.

Hiring Kate and her team for our wedding coordination was the BEST decision we could have made! Our wedding was in New York City but we currently live in Texas, so the whole wedding was planned from a distance. I hired Kate a year before the wedding after reading many positive reviews, however we didn't meet until the week before the wedding. During the planning process Kate was quick to respond, detail-oriented, attentive and gave great advice on anything and everything I needed. Being out of state, I had to put a lot of blind faith into the planning and Kate truly exceeded my expectations. Many of my married friends said hiring a good day-of coordinator is the best money you could spend because it allows you and your spouse to relax and enjoy the day without any stress. I now understand the true value of that advice. I'm sure there were hiccups on our wedding day, but I have no idea what they were because Kate was so good at her job! She made our day so special and we can't recommend her enough!

My husband and I are so grateful for everything Kate and her team did for us on our wedding night and through the last year. She went above and beyond and we are so grateful for her help, wisdom and guidance. From helping us with walk-throughs and logistics (what's the best way for tables to be oriented for 200+ people? should we do mom & son dance before or after speeches?) to answering random quirky questions to last-minute emergencies (finding not only a stable chair for my father who was just out of emergency surgery and unable to walk far, but making sure it was where it needed to be for the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner), our wedding would not have been possible without Kate.

I decided very early on that I wanted to use a wedding coordinator on the day of my event. I did not want to be responsible for managing vendors, managing issues, or managing anything on my wedding day. And I didn't want to ask a friend or family member to have that responsibility either. Best decision I made in the whole process.

When I was interviewing coordinators, I immediately clicked with Kate at Green Apple Wedding and Events. Her pricing is reasonable, so it was an easy decision.

Kate offers a variety of services from full coordination, to venue selection, to month-of coordination, and day-of coordination. I hired her only for day-of coordination, but that included consultation and access to her vendor list. I relied on her heavily to provide me with names of recommended vendors. Since she was only our day-of coordinator, that meant that I contacted the vendors, negotiated contracts, etc. For me, that was simple project management, but having a list of pre-approved vendors saved me a ton of time on the research.

Kate was always responsive and helpful leading up to the event. Had I contracted her for more services, I'm sure she'd be even more responsive. She was instrumental in keeping things in line and on track on our wedding day. When one of our officiants was late, she kept calm and provided great insights on how to manage the glitch.

Kate was instrumental in making our wedding day the best day ever. Seriously. She provides a fabulous service, has a wonderful list of vendors, is easy to work with, and is genuinely nice. I'd hire her for any wedding or event I plan in the future.

Hiring Kate as a day-of coordinator was absolutely the best decision my family and I made in the planning of my wedding. I could not imagine the day happening without her! Kate was amazing!!! I hired her for day of coordination and added on the rehearsal. Even though she was my day of coordinator she was available to me throughout the planning process. She read over every contract I signed, and answered innumerable questions with super quick responses. She was super affordable and was easily the best money I spent! The day of the wedding she made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, worked with all of my vendors, and even took my phone to ensure she handled anything that came up. At the reception she was a huge lifesaver when my bustle broke, and my dress ripped. Not only did she sew it up but she managed to create a new bustle with a binder clip! I cannot begin to describe how thankful I am that I had Kate.

I don't think my wedding would have been the overwhelming success it was without Kate. She was overly generous with her time and efforts both leading up to the date and during the event. She worked seamlessly with all vendors, and if there had been any issues/drama, she handled it professionally, behind the scenes, and without me ever knowing there might have been something wrong. Hiring Green Apple Weddings was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Kate was superb from the beginning. During our first meeting, she demonstrated a strong knowledge of all-things wedding and wedding vendor. I quickly hired her to be a day-of coordinator.

As the months passed, it became clear that we needed more than a day-of coordinator. We live overseas and planning a wedding from half a world away was just too difficult, even though Kate was doing more than I bargained for while on a "day-of" contract. We agreed to increase her contract to half-planning services and it was the smartest decision we made.

Kate was completely responsive and organized at every step of the way. She offered to receive various shipments for me (i.e. decorations, etc bought online), which was HUGELY helpful given that we don't live in NYC. She helped us think through a million details, organized day of transport, referred me to hair/makeup and gown alterations services, musicians and DJs, identified our hotel for out-of-town guests, and assisted with placing orders for beer/soda and dessert. She reconfirmed with all vendors in advance, did multiple walk throughs (1 with us, 1 with photographer, 1 with vendor) and helped to set up a few decorations on the day of. (She put together a phenomenal photo board.) She provided us with unlimited hours of service on the day of the wedding, which I also very much appreciated.

The best part of it all was that she provided us with this service par excellence while maintaining a pleasant and kind demeanor at all times. Kate is experienced with small weddings (like ours - about 45 guests) and with big weddings (250 guests or more). If you are looking for a professional, comprehensive, organized and friendly wedding planner/coordinator that provides personal attention and service at a more than fair price, go with Green Apple Weddings.

We honestly cannot recommend her more highly!

I can't recommend Kate from Green Apple any more highly! She was our day of coordinator but she was available to us many months before the wedding. She has a TV production background and it certainly shows- she has it all together, is proactive and leaves no stone unturned. She was also super calm and we always knew and trusted that she was on top of everything and understood our vision. She knows the Metropolitan Building in LIC like the back of her hand...there is no way we should have had the incredible wedding that we did without her. Hands down...best money we spent (She's like finding a pair of Jimmy Choos at Marshals for 20 bucks).

Of all my wedding vendors, Kate was just a no-brainer. At our initial meeting she came off as incredibly well organized, efficient, professional and dedicated to getting my vision executed. With a full time job with hours often stretching into the week end and the late nights and our families not around to help out, I knew I would need someone to help me. In the months leading up to the wedding, Kate reached out once in a while and suggested that we walk through the venue to help her execute on the day of the wedding.
On the few days leading up the wedding, she was available, super responsive (within an hour or two of me emailing her) and just incredibly helpful. She coordinated all the vendors, getting them to arrive on time and basically making sure that everyone was at the right place at the right time. On the day of the wedding, Kate centralized all the vendors' questions and came up to me or my husband only when absolutely necessary making the logistics so easy on us. Kate not only dealt graciously with all the issues that came up (from getting the electricity back up in the guest house to getting our popsicles out while we were dancing to getting my favor table set up) but she executed my instructions to the T and made my vision come through.
My family was raving about her, and my husband who can very critical at times told me that hiring Kate was the best decision we made in this process! I was just so glad to have her in my corner and I highly recommend working with Kate.

My husband and I were married at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City. The venue is amazing and unique but they do not provide a day of wedding coordinator with the space. Kate's name kept coming up in other reviews so I called her to ask some general questions about working at the MB. She was so generous and helpful with her time I hired her on the spot. Even though we hired her to be our day-of coordinator, Kate was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. In fact, many of the vendors that we hired came from her recommendations. Kate truly went above and beyond. She made everything completely stress free including the day itself. She understood the vision that my husband and I had for our wedding day and executed it impeccably. Wedding planning is stressful and Kate's assistance along the way was invaluable. We hired Kate as our day-of coordinator for our wedding at the Metropolitan Building on June 2nd, and couldn't have been happier with her services. We had tons of questions throughout the planning process, and Kate went above and beyond to answer them all in a thoughtful and thorough manner, and always responded to our emails right away. She was an invaluable resource for us prior to the big day since our venue was somewhat unconventional and Kate had done so many weddings there. We had several in-person meetings and lengthy phone calls prior to our wedding, and she made sure we were 100% comfortable with the run of show, and reassured us when when we raised concerns. On the day of, Kate was on hand from the very beginning to the very end, and ensured that we could enjoy our wedding without worrying about vendors, timing, setup etc. The whole event ran like clockwork, and Kate's calm demeanor and impeccable organization were a great comfort to us throughout the entire planning process and on our wedding day. Kate was wonderful! Kate helped us plan a Mexican-Irish wedding in NY while we were living in Wisconsin. Even though we we never met her personally until the week of the wedding she was always available on the phone and responded to any issues we had almost immediately. She helped us with ideas when we were not even sure ourselves what exactly we wanted.

The day itself ran flawlessly and Kate was on top of everything. She had worked the venue, the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City, many times before and worked seemlessly with the staff on site.

Kate and her assistant, Holly are fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about them. For a year, Kate was in touch with me in person and via email--able to answer any and all questions about my wedding...from who to order ice from to when I should play a slideshow. She is top notch and is a MUST for anyone wishing to throw a full blown affair. Our wedding was 110 people and was not traditional in any way. Kate O'Donnell Diaz of Green Apple Weddings & Events was the day-of coordinator for my September 17, 2011 wedding in NYC. Kate was simply excellent throughout the process - she is so organized, knowledgable, thorough and available, not to mention so nice - everything you could ask for in an event coordinator.

Although we hired Kate for day of wedding services she was happy to provide advice throughout our planning process. A month before the wedding, Kate met with us at the venue and walked through our vision for the entire day. Based on that meeting, Kate developed a detailed schedule for our wedding day and contacted each vendor to ensure that everyone was on the same page. On the day of the wedding, Kate arrived with the first vendor and stayed until everything had been packed up at the end of the night. We never had to worry about anything except enjoying ourselves since Kate orchestrated the entire day for us.

My Husband and I cannot say enough amazing things about Green Apple Weddings -- Kate is absolutely spectacular, and I can't imagine how our wedding would have gone without her!! I'm sure it would have gone, but WOW!

Kate is really friendly, and she was great at reading us, and understanding what we were looking for. She kept us on track with our "theme" throughout the planning process -- always making sure we made decisions that fit well with us, and keeping us on track when we started to stray in to randomness that wouldn't work well for us.

She helped save us a lot of $ through vendors and through knowing great alternatives to "the usual", and she helped us to put together an amazing wedding.

Anytime we had stress, she was easy to get ahold of (even while planning her own wedding, and moving across country), and was great at easing our fears, and dealing with vendors who weren't doing things right or keeping their word.

I cannot say enough good things about Kate and Green Apple Weddings and Events -- the first thing that I recommend to anyone now is to consider hiring an event coordinator.

I found Kate through a wedding blog that was discussing the venue that we were interested in- The Metropolitan Building-. She was super helpful to all the brides queries. I decided to contact her..from the moment we met her and spoke w/her she was amazing..She was our day of coordinator but I felt that she did the whole thing! She reassured any doubts we had and gave us info on soo many other vendors that we needed and did not know were to get them.
If you are going to get married, get KATE!! She is the best of the best and u will be super happy u hired her!! Kate wowed us from the start! She definitely knows how to run a smooth event while allowing us to enjoy our day. She gave valuable insight and recommendations throughout the entire process. She was the first to arrive at the venue and the last person to leave, making sure that everything was completely taken care of. She did everything from calm my now-husband down when I was an hour late with hair and makeup, to confirming with vendors, to pinning on boutonnieres, to remembering to give us lessons on how to walk the aisle while holding parents and flowers, to paying all vendors, to setting up the venue to look exactly like we envisioned. Kate at Green Apple Weddings & Events was absolutely wonderful to work with - from the very first phone call through the day of the wedding. A thorough professional with a keen eye for detail, Kate was always on top of the minutiae and full of suggestions. She also knew when we needed an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, or a friendly, but firm reminder to get us going on the wedding decisions! Kate's ability to capture the "essence" of how we wanted our wedding to be was uncanny, especially since we planned everything long-distance and didn't meet face-to-face until a month before the wedding.

We ended up with a wedding that personified our style without us having to worry about anything the day of....truly all we could ask for. We highly recommend Kate to everyone!

We hired Kate from Green Apple Weddings to serve as our Day-Of Coordinator, and it may have been the best vendor decision we made. Kate is incredibly organized and knowledgable and motivated, I don't know what I would have done without her there! While she was on site for nearly 18 hours the day of the wedding, she put in so much more time and effort leading up to the big day that I can't even refer to her as a "Day-Of Coordinator", because she was so much more. I cannot recommend Kate enough!

The Green Apple team helped us throw the wedding we didn't even know we wanted... I can't thin of the last time I've enjoyed a weekend more. The wedding was beautiful, meaningful, and most importantly, "us." In addition to quickly getting a feel for the kind of event that was right for us, they were unflappably patient, amazing problem solvers, and dealt with all the inevitable wedding freakouts with aplomb. Definitely recommended for the low-drama bride!

Kate provided a very much needed service with a wonderful and helpful attitude that put all my worries and stress at ease. I don't think would've been able to pull it off without her help. She worried about things more than I did, wanting to insure that I got everything I wanted. My husband and I found her to be a great calming and reassuring presence that helped us to enjoy the evening.

Kate was amazing. She went above and beyond our expectations. Prior to the wedding she was easy to contact and always had time for us. Kate O'Donnell of Green Apple Weddings was amazing to work with. She was exactly what we needed to make our day go smoothly and it certainly wouldn't have been the same without her. She was extremely organized and helpful during the months leading up to the wedding, and then with us all day on the day of. She was a calming prescence during the planning, while reminding us of all the important little details that we needed to remember. She was always extremely prompt in her correspondance, and helpful in giving advice. She was open to new ideas and suggestions and excited to execute them.

We got to know Kate really well during the planning and by our wedding day she felt like a close friend. It was great to have her at the rehearsal dinner so we could introduce her to our family and bridal party - everyone felt comfortable with her in charge. Kate was particularly helpful because of her knowledge of the Metropolitan Building - she has worked there many times and knows exactly how to put everything together there. Kate would be a wonderful addition to any wedding's vendor team. She certainly comes highly recommended!

Kate was easily the best choice we made when planning our wedding. She was invariably helpful, informative, and responsive to any and all questions and concerns (and, as the wedding approached, my concerns became increasingly oddball and anxious--all of which she handled with tact and grace). She worked tirelessly the day of the wedding (and before that, too) to make sure everything went off without a hitch. She is also just a really great person to be around, which was important to us as we decided what vendors we wanted to be surrounded by the day of the wedding. I'd recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Kate at Green Apple Weddings was such a pleasure to work with. Even though she only acted as a Day of Coordinator she was always available for me to ask questions, was willing to do everything she could and offering suggestions to help things run smoothly. On the day of she and her assistant made sure everything ran smoothly and adeptly handled a few mishaps that had she not told me about, I would never have noticed. Working with her made the day made the day feel effortless and things just fell into place without us having to do anything. I was able to thoroughly enjoy the day and had SOOOO much fun because of it.

Kate at Green Apple kept me sane during my engagement year!!! What set Kate apart... is that she just cared, plain and simple, and she just 'got us'. She took the time to get to know us, and i really really felt like we 'were in it together'. She was not pushy or 'type A' the way that other planners were at the initial meeting. She just listened to what we wanted and was excited to go through the journey with us. There was no detail too small or too big for Kate. I always felt like we were her first and only client because she was enthusiastic about absolutely EVERYTHING!!! And then.... her professionalism and expertise came through when she would say.... "oh, i've done a couple weddings here, i'll talk to ______ for you", or she would offer creative solutions to problems that inevitably arise. Green Apple is also unbelievably cost effective! Let's face it, the costs associated with having a wedding are so inflated, that it's criminal!!! Green Apple is the only vendor that we had where i felt like we were UNDERpaying and getting more value than we anticipated.

After talking with other wedding planners in the beginning, i really felt like i would have just rather plan our own wedding than have to deal with a planner who didnt see our vision, but having gone through it, there is now way i would have done it without Green Apple.

I've since recommended Green Apple to every friend of ours getting married in this area, and i like to check in on Kate every couple of months just to say hello.

What can I say! Kate and her staff at Green Apple Weddings went above and beyond the call of duty. They were amazing - like family by the end! Professional, always willing to go the extra mile, willing to listen as I stressed about small details, kind, generous. I can't say enough about them. While I hired Kate as my day of coordinator, we had several meetings before the day of the wedding and thousands of emails. She provided expert advice and support as I was finishing up the final details, giving me much more than just help on the day of the wedding. She really made sure that I stayed on schedule with my planning. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. They were always one step ahead. The wedding was the best day of my life and it was fantastic to be able to enjoy it and not have to think about a single detail. I can't thank them enough.

I highly recommend Kate O'Donnell's services for your wedding and party organizations. She was the day planner of my wedding and a henna party the evening before. I feel lucky not only to have Kate's professionalism and very detail oriented approach in the preparations but also her naturalness and flow in hosting. No need to say both of my events went flawless and all guests were very delighted. Kate is very resourceful, proactive and also a great communicator, and a listener...all that you can expect from a planner. Kate helped me to find the best henna artist in town for the henna night, offered insight and options on every level and resolved all potential conflicts with vendors, band etc. without any tension during my wedding. I was truly impressed with her responsiveness getting back to me on all questions within minutes. She spotted all lose ends and stepped in to take care of them quickly, often going beyond her day of the event planning responsibilities. Kate of Green Apple Weddings is not just wonderful, but for us was a gift as well as huge eye opener. My husband and I are both creative, very hands on & self-sufficient. We hoped to create our entire wedding on our own - from our vows to flower arrangements.. all the way down to our handmade guest book. We booked a cozy little restaurant with a gorgeous garden for the night and figured all we would need to do is fill it with our loved ones, great music, food and decorations. Yes, those are the essentials but once the ball got rolling it dawned on us that we needed extra help the day of our wedding. When we got closer to the actual day and met with Kate it was clear that a bit more than 'day of' coordination would be better and that working with Kate would give us the opportunity to be in the moment leading up to our wedding and really infuse our celebration with our personalities. Something we are *SO* glad we did!

Kate is creative, wonderfully resourceful and after seeing her handle a few curve balls the day of our wedding I'd like to add that she is *unflappable*. Aside from her ease of coordinating & combining our ideas with the logistics of our space & resources (no easy task!), Kate contributed many excellent ideas that created a smooth flow of events and tied everything together. Little details that came our way ahead of time were never problems, always challenges for which she had simple solutions. Bigger details that came our way during our wedding were smoothly handled without our knowledge or involvement - rain & thunder of epic proportions forced a handful of significant last minute changes that Kate wrangled without anyone noticing.

It's true, your wedding day goes by so quickly.. I can't imagine spending any of that precious time doing anything but celebrating with Dave and our family & friends. Everyone had the best time and Dave and I were able to have our ceremony in the garden.. our biggest wish!

Kate was fantastic as my day of coordinator. She worked with me in the weeks before to ensure all the final details were taken care of. On the big day, when the venue coordinator didn't show, she stepped up to the plate resolved every issue thrown at her calmly and confidently. Kate was the Day Of Coordinator for my wedding at The Metropolitan Building. She had worked weddings there before and was familiar with the way things worked at the venue, which is VERY different than a catering hall type of venue. She was so helpful in contacting all my vendors right before the wedding and especially helpful the day of. She showed up early in the morning and was there until the very end.....I really don't know how I would have managed if she was not there the day of! Thank-you so much Kate!

Kate O'Donnell Diaz and her crew are top-flight coordinators. Kate is extremely knowledgeable, warm, and generous with her time. I was particularly grateful for the expertise she was willing to share with me even before I had contracted her to be my wedding coordinator. In a lengthy preliminary phone conversation, she shared numerous tips and recommendations. I hired Kate only to be my day-of coordinator, but she was much more than that. We were in regular contact in the months leading up to my wedding, including a walk-through at my wedding location together. Anyone could benefit from Kate's gracious professionalism. For someone at an usual site--my wedding was at the kooky but lovable Metropolitan Building in Long Island City, where Kate has done dozens of weddings--she may well be indispensable.

Kate was wonderful and very friendly. She did a good job under a lot of pressure and with my extremely large wedding party - it was not easy to direct or trouble shoot every issue. She was very responsive to my questions/emails, created specific plans/run of shows and was very flexible with very short lead time. As an event planner, I was very happy to have Kate in the weeds for me making sure all of the things that could go wrong were addressed by someone other than me on my wedding day. Well worth the pricing, which was very fair and a true value.

We opted for a less traditional venue and hired Kate for her expertise with that particular location. Looking back, I don't know how we would have accomplished what we did without her assistance. There is so much more to do than one anticipates, and Kate was able to magically make things happen behind the scenes so that we could focus on prepping ourselves and not the space on the day of. She also lent me her ear and shoulder during the months preceding the wedding, reassuring me when things felt out of control that my expectations would be met. And she was right! I highly recommend Kate's services.
