The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay was the perfect venue for our wedding! Katie was THE BEST on-site coordinator and was very accommodating to our requests. She was very quick to answer emails and guide us through the process. We were planning the wedding from out of state so helped us out by sending pictures and allowing us to come stop by when we were in town/bring our decor in a little early. Having the venue at the hotel was so easy to set up the room block and add our welcome party and rehearsal dinner at Oystercatchers/Oystercatchers pool. Also my getting ready suite was included in the package. There were no hidden or unexpected hidden costs for the entire weekend.

We fell in love with our venue room the second we saw it. The Skylark ballroom on the 14th floor has indoor/outdoor options, has AMAZING views of Tampa Bay and the water, downtown Tampa, and planes flying in from the Airport. All of the serving staff and bartenders were on the ball and attentive. The food was great and the passed horderves and espresso martinis were a hit!

The balcony/rooftop with Skylark can have a bar and tables outside and this was really a hit with all of our guests as we had beautiful weather.

They are very familiar with having weddings here so the team worked seamlessly with my month of coordinator and other vendors. There are also ample rooms and spaces if needed for weather backup options.

Being able to take the elevator up to the room at the end of the night and not have to worry about coordinating transportation was definitely a plus. We had all of our guests join us for a pool day on Sunday. Its a quiet location tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It truly was a perfect weekend and venue!

We visited 27 venues in 5 days across Florida - this was the first one we saw and it was love at first sight. That is, 26 other venues did not compare for what Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay could offer in terms of quality AND value. Katie is incredible - she's the nicest, most understanding salesperson ever. She was a true rock during our entire planning process. She responds very quickly, is super available, and gets things done. She helped us find creative ways to stay within our budget as well and delivered over the top during our wedding weekend! We had a multi day, multi event blended faith wedding and she and the Grand Hyatt team delivered above and beyond. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Would highly recommend this venue! We were so sure about this venue that we booked their newly renovated Skylark Ballroom (previously known as Armani's) without even knowing what the finished product would look like. The event coordinator Taylor was very professional and easy to work with. The food was delicious and everyone seemed to have a great time. Definitely the perfect venue for all different types of weddings!

We were having a smallish wedding 65-80 people and toured this hotel. It is well maintained and while not new, still extremely nice. As we only planned the wedding 4 months in advance, the locations for a ceremony were limited. We originally wanted an outdoor venue, but ended up deciding on an indoor room. Thank goodness we did. There was a torrential downpour the entire day and night of our wedding. All of the other outdoor weddings planned at the hotel that night needed to scramble and move inside. But we were not stressed as ours was already inside.

We used the hotel as a host venue and every one of our guests stayed there. We also hosted a pre-ceremony reception outside the ceremony room. We wanted to do something different and had fun finger foods for hors d'oeuvres.. We had pigs n the blanket, fried Mac n cheese balls, mini pizzettes, French fry cones and pretzel bites. Our guests loved it.

We also hosted a Sunday brunch and it was also exceptional. Caitlin, the catering director, was incredible. Our event was her last as she was promoted to a new position at a different Hyatt hotel.

Lastly, we booked the bay view luxury suite for us to stay in, but also to use as a hospitality suite. While the suite itself was a little worn around the edges, the room itself was perfect. We often had 15-20 people hanging out there and there was plenty of room for everyone.

We couldn’t have been happier there with the venue. The only down side is that as a Hyatt member, I expected more credits for the rooms we booked. I personally booked 6 rooms. And yet I only received credit for 3 of them. Apparently that is a discoverist rule, which I had never heard of. I was extremely disappointed and upset when I learned that I didn’t not credit for the, especially after hosting an event there.

We got married at Armani's on the rooftop. It was the best experience ever! It was perfect, and totally different than what any of our guests have experienced for a wedding. Caitlin is the best to work with! She was a dream to have as an events manager through the hyatt. Their food was the best food ever, we are still getting compliments that their food was the best food they have ever had a wedding. Their staff is top tier. THeir bartenders were amazing, we are still getting compliments on the bartending staff. I could not compliment this hotel, staff, and service enough. Thank you!!

Caltin was amazing and a super star. She simply made things work smooth and everything was beautiful. Having your wedding at this location, you will remember and enjoy the staff, and the food was AMAZING, my guest still talk about how good the food was sooooo good. The view was everything. Having our daughter's wedding at the Hyatt was a wonderful experience. The venue is gorgeous and their staff is first class. We worked with the Event Sales Manager, Caitlin Schmedeke. She coordinated all the details and her services went far beyond our expectations.

Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay was the first venue my husband and I went to see. They set the bar pretty high because every venue we saw after that we kept comparing to the Hyatt. They were able to accommodate our large guest count, there was free parking for guests and shuttles to the airport. Caitlin was our point of contact and she was such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. From the time we checked in the night before the wedding to the time we checked out, we were taken care of! The bridal suite was amazing and had plenty of space for getting ready the day of!

The food was an important factor for us as we had been to a few weddings where the food just wasn't good. We knew we didn't want our guests to experience that. When we had our tasting we were so relieved because the food was just so good! The chefs came out during the tasting to speak to us and explain the dishes. It has been a little over a month since our wedding and we still have guests telling us how great the food was!

Every little girl wants their wedding day to be perfect... at the Grand Hyatt it truly was!! From beginning to start it was a breeze- working with Caitlin seriously couldn’t have been a bigger blessing. I would give them a 12 out of 10 stars if I could! Our wedding day was perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

This hotel is beautiful and so close to the airport. Reasonable prices and great ballroom. The event coordinator was amazing! She was very helpful thru the whole process. Staff gets at A+ too!

We received so many compliments from our guests re. the quality of the food and service and the venue itself with its spectacular sunset view of the bay. The service far exceeded our expectations. Outstanding service and accommodations on every level from guest rooms to special requests to an unbelievable cocktail hour and dinner receptions. I cannot say enough about Caitlin at the Grand Hyatt. We just had our daughter’s wedding there and it is a wonderful venue from the beauty of it to the culinary team but Caitlin made our experience the best. She was on top of it all. She is the most professional, conscientious, kind, helpful person that there is. What a great communicator! We always knew what was going on and questions were quickly answered. And we had a lot of them! I hope the Grand Hyatt knows what an asset she is for them! Absolutely outstanding!

Caitlin, Arielle and the catering event staff were wonderful to work with to help create a wonderful wedding day not just for us, but for all who attended. They took great care of any special requests we had and made us all feel so special. From our ceremony on Oystercatcher's private beach area to our reception up at Armani's, the day was filled with wonderful memories that the amazing staff at the GHTB helped create! I booked a suite at Grand Hyatt in order to have enough 'getting ready' space for me and my girls. The Presidential Suite was gorgeous --- super-spacious with bay views! It even came with a free bottle of champagne. Customer service was GREAT --- would highly recommend!

The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay was the perfect place for our intimate wedding ceremony. We were treated so well and everything was perfect. The grounds are amazing for the best photo opps and the staff did everything they could to make the day an unforgettable memory. The Gazebo was the best location for a small ceremony overlooking the bay. Cailtin was amazing and helped us every step of the way! We highly recommend having your special event here and cant wait to come back!

I had my wedding, both ceremony and reception, at the Grand Hyatt. I cannot even begin to describe how happy I was with everything. Food, service, responsiveness, amazing customer service, and how welcomed everyone made us and our guests feel for our wedding. The wedding planner that the Hyatt has is top notch. They don't come better then her! She was so helpful and helped give us our dream wedding. Highly highly recommend them and we can't wait to go back and vacation!

We can not say enough good things about Amy Otte and the entire staff that helped make our wedding day special. Our venue was perfect, the wait staff during dinner was excellent and very attentive. Communication between all the staff was what kept things together and on track. Amy was the absolute best! She is an excellent communicator and is always there to answer any questions or just help us when we need it. Everything was flawless. All of our guest could not stop talking about the food, the venue, the service, and how beautiful everything was. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but trust me when I tell you there was nothing for us to worry about with Amy! My wedding was back in March so this review is a bit late - however I had to post a review to really show my appreciation to the entire team at the Grand Hyatt but in particular Kristi! Our wedding was a destination wedding so I planned it entirely out of the country - without a wedding planner! How did I do that - because I chose THE best venue in Tampa with such a excellent level of service - I literally had no stress at all due to the constant communication from Kristi to ensure all the details were set. The on day coordination is priceless - all the various vendors not connected to the hotel were managed perfectly and everything was delivered as expected! The food was excellent, the service top class - the actual hotel is modern and in a lovely bay side setting. My suite was so spacious getting ready was such a breeze - and the complimentary breakfast pastries and fruit for all my bridal party was such a nice touch. I loved everything about the day - can't stop smiling when I think about it. Kristi is a star! Chose the Grand Hyatt - you'll never regret it!

It was the most blissful experience. Incredible backdrop in the most serene setting in Tampa Bay. Kristi was a rock star. Seamlessly on top of every detail even though I hounded her on everything. It turned out flawlessly. Highly highly recommended!

We had our wedding reception at Armani's on the 14th floor of the Grand Hyatt. The views where breathtaking. The venue is perfect for a nice intimate wedding celebration. We worked with Kristi and she made sure everything was perfect. I was so pleased with how beautiful the room was set up. Unfortunately we had to move the ceremony inside due to rain at the last minute but even with the change our wedding day was perfect. Service was exceptional, and the food was great! All of our guest complimented how delicious the food was. We are so happy that we choose to have our wedding at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.

Kristi and her team were wonderful. She was readily available when we needed her. worked well with our vendors and was very flexible with the changes we wanted. All of our guest enjoyed the weekend at the hotel and the evening was a great time for all.

Absolutely beautiful! The space was to large for my wedding.

My groom and I stayed at the Hyatt on our wedding night, and it was absolutely PERFECT! Katie took excellent care of us! The villa we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, immaculately cleaned, didn't have that humid musty feel/smell, like so many hotels do! Plus they upgraded us when we went to check in, and we were surprised to receive champagne, choc covered strawberries, the villa to be all dimly lit, complete with rose petals leading up to the bedroom! It was absolutely breathtaking and so romantic! We felt so special! Thank you, Hyatt, for making the end to our wedding day absolutely perfect, relaxing, and romantic! If they have such care for detail on a hotel room, I would love to see their attention for detail for a reception or other event! I'm sure it's perfect! :)

Mariana was absolutely amazing to work with! The entire experience at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay more than exceeded my expectations. Not only is the property an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding reception, but the service was exceptional. The food and drinks were amazing, the rooms were excellent and the guests were so happy with the service the entire weekend. The staff treated us so well the entire weekend, not just the night of the wedding reception. We highly recommend this hotel for any similar events and can't wait to return to the hotel.

We had our daughter's wedding reception at Armani's on the 14th Floor of the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. It is a venue that is suitable for under 100 people and the views are spectacular.
Marianna, the wedding consultant for the hotel, was the best! She is so professional and still very friendly and helpful. She was very responsive to us throughout the whole process of planning. She understood some of our unique needs, and was very eager to help us make it a smooth process. And, the fact that she had worked with several of our other vendors was also very helpful.
On the night of the wedding, when we entered the room, we were very pleased to see that everything had turned out the way that we planned. The food was wonderful, also. And many people have commented on what a great wedding we had. Thanks Marianna!

We had the most amazing experience at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, from the day I had my first meeting to look at the property for our wedding to the day we checked out after our wedding! First, I have to say how great Mariana Miranda the catering manager is, she was alway so friendly and helpful with everything! She seems to love what she does and is incredible at it! I couldn't have pulled ot off without her. The rest of the hotel staff were great aswell. We had a destination wedding so we had a lot of people staying at the hotel, everyone of our guests commented on how friendly and accommodating the staff were and
how beautiful the property was. I had my dream wedding! The ceremony and reception were on the 14th fl of the hotel at Armani's and it was picture perfect!

Armani's was our first choice for a venue and we were thrilled we were able to have our wedding and reception there. The food and the views were outstanding.

Our coordinator Mariana was always upbeat, responsive, professional, and made sure everything came off without a hitch. Even when it rained an hour before our outdoor ceremony, she & her staff moved the entire setup to our indoor contingency site and made sure everything was perfect.

The Grand Hyatt in Tampa Florida was where my husband and I had our destination wedding which was a great choice! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful so I knew my guests would love the hotel. The staff were so friendly and accommodating on our wedding day. My husband and I had Mariana as our wedding coordinator who was awesome! She kept contact with my husband and I and really tried to help our dream vision come to reality. My husband and I had our ceremony and reception outside near the Oystercatcher's restaurant which was absolutely beautiful! My favorite part was during the sunset as the guests were able to walk around and see how beautiful the sunset was over the water and I liked that there was a pier and places to walk to during the reception. I am so happy to have had my wedding at the Grand Hyatt and highly recommend it for other future brides!

Just like the previous review mentioned, Mariana truly made our wedding day unforgettable! My husband and I live in the Tampa area, so we love the beach scene. But, we wanted to have an indoor wedding that was still "Tampa." After we took a trip to the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, there was no question that was where we wanted to get married. We had our reception in Armani's on the 14 floor. And well, the views were breathtaking to say the least! I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for simple elegance. Our wedding day was more than we ever could have imagined thanks to the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, Mariana & her staff!

Mariana's spark had much to do with me choosing Armani's for our wedding venue. She was bright, helpful, flexible, always cheerful and positive, and without her, I don't know how I would have managed. She even helped me dry away a few tears. Armani's is beautiful and elegant and great for a small, intimate reception. Our guests had a great time, loved the food, and marveled at the views - most of them being from out of town. I would highly recommend Armani's at the Grand Hyatt and I hope they know what an asset they have in Mariana!

My husband and I were so happy with our ENTIRE wedding experience at the Grand Hyatt!! We had our rehearsal dinner at Oystercatchers (the food and service were AMAZING), got married on the hammock deck by Oystercatchers, cocktail hour and reception were back at the hotel and our breakfast/brunch was held the next morning in Armanis (so beautiful up there with BREATHTAKING views – a real treat for our guests).
To be honest, it was my husband’s idea to go and view the property. I had my eye on somewhere else but went along to the Hyatt because he asked me to. As we toured the hotel everything just kept getting better and better and by the end of the tour I knew this is where I wanted to get married! What I love about the property is that it is off in its own little world – you feel like you’re at a resort! Since it’s located off the causeway, it has beautiful views of the Bay which was so nice for all of our out of town guests. They really got the feeling of being in Florida. Another highlight for me was all of the different backgrounds the property has to offer when you taking photos! We have photos in two different gardens, on the small beach, on a dock, on the boardwalk and of course shots throughout the hotel itself. The food at the Hyatt was exceptional. I have gotten many compliments on not only on our actual dinner but for our cocktail hour spread as well.
Mariana was amazing to work with throughout our 9 month planning period. I always felt like she answered all of my questions and she was always easy to get in touch with. She made me feel as though I was the only bride she was working with.
Obviously, I could just go on and on about our experience – but I wont. In the end I think every bride should check out the Hyatt!!!

From the moment me and my husban walked into Armani's, we knew the Grand Hyatt ampa Bay was the perfect place for our wedding. We had our ceremony at Oystercatchers on the beach and our reception in Armani's. The location was amazing enough, but then we met our coordinator Mariana Miranda and the journey just skyrocketed from there. I cannot say enough nice things about Mariana. She is such an amazing, dedicated, and professional person. She went above and beyond for our wedding and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. She handled everything, especially the wedding day, with grace and ease and everything went so smoothly and perfect. I absolutely loved working with her and I would not recommend anyone but her! Thank you for an amazing job!!

The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay was a beautiful place to have my wedding. My reception was in Armani's and the floor to ceiling windows created a beautiful atmosphere looking over the city. The catering manager took care of any questions i had and was available throughout my wedding process. The night of the event she was there and available to keep things running smoothly. The food was great and the open bar i had was well organized with great brands and a great bar tender. I also used the Hyatt's pianist for my cocktail hour and it was beautiful. They also handled all of my guest reservations and accomodated all of my out of town and in town guest with beautiful rooms at a discounted rate! They provided transportation to and from the hotel from the airport and treated me and my husband like royalty!

We had our wedding at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay on Sunday December 5th. We did the ceremony outside by the lake/pond and the reception inside at Armani's restaurant. I dont think we could have chosen a more perfect location. I am absolutely in love with the view from Armani's. The Coordinator Alexis is a pleasure to work with, however two of her staff members, Mariana and Chelsea, were in charge of our wedding. They were absolutely phenomenal. My husband and I are both in the service industry and Mariana went out of her way to make sure that we felt assured on the day of. The food was amazing as well. It was so flavorful and moist as well (We had a duo plate of Beef tenderloin and chicken florentine). We stayed in one of their Casita suites on the back of the property and we had champagne and strawberries waiting for us when we got back. We were so happy with the Hyatt and all of their staff. Thank you so much everyone!

I loved this placed they were great with scheduling and metting my needs before during and after the wedding. we had various changes a few days before the wedding and the wedding coordinator was amazing she was the best. the food was outstanding if you decide to have your wedding there i recomend the international sliders for your cocktail hour everybody loved them.

The Grand Hyatt was great, but we used Oystercatchers beachfront for the ceremony and ate at Oystercatchers, it was beautiful! The staff was great and very professional. The food was outstanding! They also did a cocktail hour for us on the lower deck outside, it was great for our beach wedding!

We just had our wedding at this venue on August 2. We worked with Mariana Miranda, who was amazing! She was incredibly attentive, helpful, and always had a smile on her face. She genuinely cared about our wedding day and wanted me to have my vision of the day. She went out of her way to make sure that we were completely satisfied. All of the staff was helpful as well. The venue was gorgeous and the food was actually the best wedding/banquet food I've had! I had many guests rave about the venue and even one guest say they wanted to host their anniversary party there. I highly recommend this venue. Thanks for making it the day of my dreams!

The Hyatt was absolutely beautiful and had amazing staff and food. They gladly worked with our budget and helped with all the details. Alexis the coordinator was awesome. She took care of so much on the wedding day I didnt have to worry about anything. Our guests were so happy with everything.

After looking at several different venue locations, we went to the Grand Hyatt and met with Mariana Miranda. As soon as she showed us the grand ballroom, we fell in love with its beautiful chandeliers and gorgeous foyer with attached boardwalk. My husband and I wanted to have an elegant, formal wedding reception with a tropical flare and the Hyatt was the perfect venue for us. Mariana is absolutely amazing! Her bubbly, happy personality was one of the reasons we decided to host our wedding reception at this venue. From start to finish everything ran perfectly. When we went for our food tasting we met Anita. Her welcoming nature and attention to detail was wonderful and she was very helpful with picking out our food, which people raved about at the wedding. The lobster lollypops were a great hit and the chicken and fish was cooked to perfection. During our reception, both Mariana and Anita made sure that my husband and I were well taken care of and were so attentive. If you are looking for a tropical, elegant, location for your wedding or reception, you should check out the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay!!

Working with Mariana at the Grand Hyatt was a great experience. She made sure my day was beautiful and stress-free. The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and made for amazing pictures. I got married on the beach behind Oyster Catchers and had my wedding ceremony in Armanis. Everything was lovely. The only reason I marked down on flexibility was because I was given verbal agreements when I booked the Hyatt and policies were changed afterwards therefore negating what I had been promised. My mistake for not having EVERYTHING in writing; I was told the pool area would be closed during my ceremony but it wasn't due to a policy change a few weeks before my wedding. Alexis, the catering contact and day of coordinator was wonderful and very helpful before during and after the wedding.

We had the honor of dealing with Alexis Zangari at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. She is lovely, talented and helped make our wedding AMAZING! We did everything at Oystercathcers'...the ceremony was on the beach, the cocktail reception and dancing took place on the pool deck and dinner was served on the upper deck. If you think it is casual, you are way wrong! It was so romantic and elegant. Our Guests are still talking about it. The food was amazing!! Alexis rocks!!!!

The Hyatt is an absolutely beautiful venue with a lot of versatility. We had our ceremony on the patio of Armani's, and the view was gorgeous. We wanted an outdoor wedding, but June in Tampa in crazy hot and humid, so we wanted to make sure we weren't outside too long. Armani's patio was perfect for that. People were indoors until the ceremony and then were able to get back into the A/C right after, but we were still able to get those outdoor wedding pics. The Grand Hyatt has endless spots for pictures, and the view really is fabulous. Our reception was in the grand ballroom, which they were able to close off to fit our wedding party nicely. We had a lot of dietary needs that the Hyatt was very willing to accommodate, and the food was delicious...not that we got to taste much of it at our wedding, but our guests raved about it. It's OK, the Hyatt packaged up some leftovers for us, and the food definitely lived up to what our guests said. Mariana was wonderful to work with! She was very responsive and eager to help in whatever way she could. Mariana definitely went out of her way to make sure we get the wedding we envisioned. The Hyatt is a bit pricey (and be mindful of extra fees for things), but you really do get what you pay for. The staff was so friendly and the customer service overall was amazing. There were a few mistakes: it took a while to find the wine we brought, and they forgot to put down the wedding runner. However, overall, we were really impressed and definitely would recommend the venue to others.

I got married at The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay on 3/28/10. We planned for a Sunday wedding, because the cost was much lower, and also we'd be able to have the reception in Armani's (because they are closed on Sunday/Monday) instead of a plan old ballroom. It ended up pouring rain on my wedding day, so we had the wedding IN Armani's as well as the cocktail hour and reception. It was BEAUTIFUL! The wait staff was very attentive, and Alexis (the on site wedding coordinator) is amazing to work with. She's flexible and she's always "on top" of everything! She is the REAL reason we chose the venue!

The only "negatives" I had, were that I should have been "VIP" as per my contract with the Hyatt, and my room wasn't ready when it should have been (3 o'clock check in time) and I wasn't put in the room I was promised, and had already given to all my vendors. After telling Alexis of my displeasure with this expierence, we were moved to a huge suite in the tower the night of our wedding, which was truely AMAZING. Only my champagne and strawberries were delievered to my room the night before my wedding, so we had to buy our own bottle for the night of. I rated them lower for flexibility because we needed a shuttle to the rehersal dinner site (since 95% of our guests were out of towners) and the Hyatt was unable to provide this for me, unlike the Chase Suites which we also reserved for guests. I know these were mistakes of the Hotel Staff and not of the catering staff, so I was happy to overlook them. I pass by the Hyatt everyday to work, and smile thinking that it was the PERFECT choice!!!!

We only had our reception at the Hyatt. I'm surprised that this location does not have more positive reviews because after looking around some prime locations in the area, my now husband were most impressed by the Hyatt. We worked with Alexis as our coordinator and she was very helpful. The Hyatt staff is also very professional and provide services that not all hotel do such as arranging escort cards, placing favors, etc.

The location itself was also great for taking photos. There is a good variety of backgrounds to choose from. The food was another big plus and went beyond our expectations, even the bread! Choosing to have our reception at the Hyatt was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process.

Our guests and ourselves all loved the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay to host our block of rooms for our wedding. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. I wish that the bellmen were a little more flexible with our hired shuttle service. Everything else was great and the value of the hotel is definitely worth booking here.

Our cocktail hour was at Oyster Catchers at the Grand Hyatt. Oyster Catchers is beautiful and an excellent location for a cocktail hour or reception.

Our reception was in the Grand Hyatt ballroom. Also very beautiful.

The food was excellent at the Hyatt.

The staff forgot our champagne toast. The wedding staff was slow on responses and requests. My bill was wrong, which they did correct.

There was also sugar ants in my bridal suite.

The look of location itself is very classy though.

Make sure everything is in writing and believe nothing verbal. We were forced to choose our food choices when we signed the contract and was told we could change after the tasting. We negotiated a price but when we wanted to change the menu after the tasting, we expected to pay the higher difference but not a difference that was greater than the menu. Like most couples we booked a year in advance and was not told of the construction that would be occurring. We were then assured that the construction would only be on weekdays but wrong. So we woke up to hammering the morning after the wedding on Sunday AM. You would think that paying as much as we did for the wedding, they would have thrown in the Master suite (there are only 2 in the hotel). Well make sure you negotiate that as part of it.
There was another event at the next hall and bc of the location, we had guests from that event munching on the appetizers and the drinks. Good thing we prepaid for the drinks but guests complained that the food ran out quick.

On a positive note, the service was solid and the food wonderful.

My wedding was in January and I thought the closest Hyatt with a view would be perfect for my wedding. I wanted to go to Clearwater Hyatt initially but the proximity made me choose this location. We used the hotels wedding caterer that works all the weddings. The food was delicious. The service and organization was the worst I’ve ever experienced. It was almost like going to a 5 star restaurant & paying 5 star prices while getting 1 star service. They mishandled my items. For example- I paid 75$ for the table numbers and the coordinator thought it was a good idea to break the bottom stand in half to make it fit in the vase. The coordinator also had terrible communication & thought I did not want centerpieces for my wedding. I told her I wanted to bring my own cake cutter and cake stand. I never brought up centerpieces. Because of this, my flowers were used from a prior conference last minute put together very unprofessionally. The lilies were brown and 3 tiny Lilies were per 6 person table. It was embarrassing. The lily centerpieces are included in the package but they did not compensate for this mistake. The food was supposed to be out by 630pm. However. Some people didn’t get their final entree till 930pm. The server claimed they needed to wait for every single person in a 6 person table to finish their salad to bring out the entree? Which makes no sense bec some ppl eat slower than others. If I’m done with my salad- pls bring out my entree- I’m hungry. Another big issue- the servers claim they were waiting for the salads to be done etc however I was the bride and I walked away from my food for 5 mins- I had 2 bites of the full plate of salad and I asked them not to take it. I came back to my salad GONE! It only got worse. I had 1 bite of my steak and came back to it GONE! Who does that I ask you? I was appauled. It only gets worse. The servers decided to take it upon themselves to give out our leftover hord’vous to a guest who wanted one more. I had spent thousands of dollars and they just gave it away in a huge platter to a guest! I don’t doubt they took some home as well. I over ordered on purpose so that I could take it home and they just gave it away to a non family member guest without asking me. The servers were short. The wedding coordinator Caitlin was nice but absent. No one knew who she was! My sister had to be the wedding coordinator basically. They were supposed to put out 80 chairs for the ceremony, they put out 70?! I was so confused why they would do this??? I asked for dim lights in the reception- but they decided to make it bright as day! I asked for bright lights in the ceremony and it was dark as night in there. It was the worst experience of my life! They compensated a little (and I mean a very small amount for the food taken early etc). We didn’t even see the bartender writing down the orders so the accuracy of the drink count is highly questionable! Please do yourself a favor and go with a different Hyatt or book them and find out for yourselves. There’s tons of other issues that I don’t have the energy to write about bec it is too depressing. It was a sad day for me honestly during and after. Very disheartening. No bride should be subjected to the things that happened there.
