When we booked our venue at Grand Geneva, we felt confident that all of our wants and needs would be taken care of—and we were absolutely right. Although we experienced a change in event coordinators partway through our planning process, which naturally brought on a bit of nervousness, we couldn't have been more fortunate to be paired with Jessica.
From our first meeting, Jessica exceeded every expectation. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day everything we dreamed of. Her deep knowledge of the Grand Geneva property and its offerings, along with her thoughtful suggestions, made every decision easier and more exciting.
Jessica quickly became our go-to person. She dedicated months of her time to help us bring our vision to life, always making herself available when we needed her—even if that meant answering a last-minute phone call. In the final days leading up to the wedding, she was in constant contact, checking in with us and managing communications with our vendors to ensure everything went smoothly.
Our ceremony at Greenview was absolutely breathtaking, and the Chalet reception space was perfection. It was truly the most magical day of our lives.

The Grand Geneva was the absolute best wedding venue I could have ever asked for. It’s an especially meaningful place to me, as we go there for vacation every summer — so getting married there made it all the more special. The property offers countless gorgeous photo opportunities, breathtaking views, and a team of incredibly kind and accommodating staff. The food was phenomenal, and to top it all off, there was a stunning firework show the night of our wedding — truly magical. My coordinator, Jess, was a dream to work with. She genuinely cared about every detail, which meant the world to me. As a wheelchair user, I also want to highlight how thoughtful and accessible the Grand Geneva was throughout the entire experience. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. We also stayed for our honeymoon, and the Grand Geneva continued to exceed every expectation. Our hotel room was absolutely stunning — spacious, luxurious, and perfect for relaxing after such a special day. We were treated with so much care and had the time of our lives. It was such a beautiful venue and working with Jessica made my day so amazing, their packages and how helpful they are made the planning process much easier specially since we live pretty far away from Wisconsin. It was just amazing and dream-like!

Having our wedding at Grand Geneva was a dream come true. Our coordinator Courtney worked with us every step of the way and made sure all our requests were taken care of. I had no worries at all on my wedding day. I can't say it enough how incredible it was! Our guests gave nonstop compliments on how it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to.

We planned our wedding at Grand Geneva from MA, and they couldn't have made it an easier process! Having everything in one place simplified our planning from the cake, catering, and table linens all of it is included in whichever package you select. Our coordinator, Courtney, made sure all of the boxes were checked from start to finish. She made sure to have the contact information for all of our vendors to coordinate things with them in advance The day of the wedding she knew what we needed before we did, and made sure she was available to us if anything came up. She even helped bustle my dress. We had several guests tell us how seamless of an experience they had. If you want your wedding to be as smooth as possible, book Grand Geneva.

Plus their spa service is exceptional. I wanted to have some bonding time with my mom the day before the wedding. The spa helped to coordinate times and treatments for us to spend quality time together. They even scheduled to have lunch delivered to the spa so we could continue our relaxing day.

The Grand Geneva was an amazing venue for our December wedding. We had a lot of out-of-town guests, and the resort was a perfect getaway with all the amenities they could ask for. The hotel and spa staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The Grand Geneva Resort was very helpful in the planning process and helped guide us through every detail. From touring the facility, food tasting, guest accommodations, event planning, rehearsal dinner to the reception the staff was top notch. We owe our most thanks though to our wedding coordinator Emma who was amazing during the whole process. Emma was a true professional and made us very happy and excited leading up to our wedding night. Emma did a great job communicating with us and always made herself available even on weekends and evenings. Leading up to the wedding Emma took all of the stress out of the planning process and coordinated flawlessly with our outside vendors, the church and even our guests. The day of the event, Emma had every single detail taken care of and our night turned out better than we could have ever imagined. Thank you to the Grand Geneva but most importantly, thank you to Emma. If you get Emma as your coordinator, we promise you will have a wedding to remember. Thank You Brooks and Lauren!!!

The Grand Geneva Resort is one of the best places to host a wedding!
The entire process was super easy to understand and honestly, everything from the venue tour, tasting, to the Big Day went smoothly. Courtney was our event manager and she was always only an email away and made the planning process easy! The rest of the event staff on the big day were very professional and accommodating. Everyone knew where to be and where to go and what direction to point me in. Every time my glass was empty, Courtney or another staff member was right there asking if I wanted a refill. Everything was HANDLED. Which is so important, the only stress I felt on the wedding day was pre-ceremony jitters.
We had our wedding at the Chalet, which was really dressed up to be a beautiful and unique candle/lantern-lit venue. Post-wedding, Courtney delivered our late night snack leftovers and Anniversary Cake directly to our room with a hand-written well-wishes card!
My only complaint is that the rooms my guests booked through the room block were all spread-out, however I also didn't think to ask for them to be in the same building pre-wedding.
Overall, we loved our wedding and wouldn't change a thing. The Grand Geneva Resort is now one of our favorite places to visit.

We got married on Thanksgiving weekend 2022 and it was the perfect venue for it. Our event coordinator, Haley, was wonderful to work with and everything went so smoothly.

The venue provides almost anything you could need, and anything they don’t provide they will help you find with a network of exceptional vendors. My husband and I were so incredibly grateful for how the day came together - and consistently get feedback that it was the most beautiful venue, most excellent food and service… so on. That is all thanks to the amazing service provided at Grand Geneva.

Specifically, our Wedding Coordinator Haley was incredible. Haley's diligence and attention to detail paved the way for a perfect wedding day for my husband and I. Haley did an excellent job staying communicative with us throughout the planning process and consistently made herself available to our needs and all of our questions leading up to the big day. On that day, she served as our day-of coordinator, making herself available to the wedding party (including mothers of bride/groom!) for all questions and last minute requests, and keeping in touch with all vendors to make sure they knew where to be and when - so we didn’t have to. Additionally, she ensured that we remained on schedule per our outlined agenda that she helped us strategize and create. Overall, her presence was a constant source of comfort to us on an otherwise naturally stressful event. The venue was beautiful and well organized and her service to us leading up to the wedding and during our special day was exceptional. Thank you Haley for everything that you did for us!

We have no regrets about choosing Grand Geneva. Heather, KJ, and Courtney were beyond incredible! They treat you like royalty and can most likely craft a contract that will work within your budget. We had a smaller wedding and they still treated us just as well as anyone else. The banquet team was top notch and the kitchen staff made phenomenal food. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and team! Thank you to all who made a day special!

We had to reschedule our wedding three times because of COVID and we were lucky enough to find a completely outdoor space at the Grand Geneva Resort to have our wedding. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Kristi is a wedding genie and made all our wishes come true. Our guests are raving about how beautiful our wedding was, how delicious the food was and how much fun they had at the resort all weekend long. We are so grateful to have turned a wedding nightmare to a wedding dream. Our venue was the Pavilion and we had our ceremony right across from it near the score board area. Kristi even let me drive into the ceremony on a golf cart! We chose the pan-seared airline chicken breast and the grilled New York strip steak dinner options and our guests are still raving about how good it was. Thank you again, Kristi & Jamie and the Grand Geneva Resort staff for allowing us to create such beautiful memories! We will be back next year for our anniversary!

The Grand Geneva was the perfect location for our July 2020 wedding. The beauty of the Chalet is unmatched and was the perfect unique, rustic, and elegant venue that we wished for. The service the night of the wedding was incredible. Everyone's food was out at the same time and still warm. The bartenders were efficient and knowledgable. Kristi Johnson is an incredible wedding planner. She was easy to communicate with, timely with responses, and kept a high level of professionalism throughout the whole process. She was very flexible with all of our changes due to COVID and always kept a positive attitude. We are so pleased with the Grand Geneva and cannot say enough great things. Highly recommend to anyone searching for a beautiful wedding venue!

My husband and I give our highest recommendation to Grand Geneva Resort & Spa as a wedding venue. With a June 2020 wedding, the odds were seemingly against us in every way. However, because of Grand Geneva, we miraculously had our dream wedding.

When planning a wedding in uncertain times, communication is key. Grand Geneva provided us with clear and transparent communication throughout the entire planning process. We were fortunate to work with many talented people, including Heather, Alexandra, and Todd, throughout the planning process. Kristi Johnson, our event manager, was our point person for the final 6 weeks prior to the Big Day.

Kristi possesses a rare combination of creativity, flexibility, and dedication. Her responses to our calls, texts, and many emails were always prompt, specific, & thorough. She understood our vision, & she worked to make it happen. She coordinated the rental of our ceiling drapes and Chiavari chairs, & she was the person who coordinated all requests that we had concerning food and beverages.

Grand Geneva's implementation of their "CleanCare Pledge" ensured that the safety of our guests (as well as the people who worked at our wedding) was a top priority. Hand sanitizing stations were plentiful, & all of the staff wore masks and gloves. Grand Geneva opened up the room opposite the Evergreen Ballroom so that our guests could practice social distancing in the Galewood ballroom during the cocktail hour.

The week before the wedding, Grand Geneva’s staff worked behind the scenes to transform the Evergreen Ballroom. Grand Geneva’s staff even strung twinkle lights & hung escort cards on an arch that we provided. From placing photographs throughout the foyer to ensuring the correct distribution of guest favors and coloring books for children, Grand Geneva’s staff made it easy for my groom and me to simply walk in and enjoy our wedding day.

My husband & I come from big Italian families, so we had very high expectations for the food & drink. Chef Nelly, Grand Geneva’s Executive Chef, met & exceeded those expectations with our wedding reception dinner. The tasting was delicious, so we were hoping that the food would be as good on a large scale. We were delighted to find that the food was even better on the wedding day. The outcome was spectacular. Jamie, the person in charge of the beverages, ensured that we were able to offer our guests our choice of liquor and wine. We chose the Super Premium bar package, and we are glad that we did. Our guests are still raving about the food and drinks at our wedding. Chef Nelly even made meals for our guests with special dietary preferences or needs, including a vegan gluten-free meal, gluten-free meal, & vegetarian meals.

Our wedding cake, made by Allie, was beautiful. Our guests had the choice of either chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and filling or vanilla cake with bavarian cream filling and chocolate ganache frosting. Additionally, Miranda made the groom’s cake—a giant armadillo cake that honored my groom's Texas background.

The Captain of our event, Juan, ensured that our reception was flawless. The level of service was top-notch, and our guests were so impressed with the high level of attentiveness and courtesy.

Grand Geneva made it possible for us to celebrate our wedding day surrounded by family & friends in a beautiful, safe manner. We give this venue our highest recommendation, and we hope that you have the opportunity to have a Grand Geneva Wedding.

My husband and I just got married at the beginning of June 2019 and had the most perfect time at our wedding. We had our ceremony under the pavilion which was great- had a roof over us and our guests so people weren't getting the sun beat down on them and it was a really beautiful view of the golf course. We had our reception at the Chalet which was really beautiful and has so much room! It really gave our guests many places to hang out and we really wouldn't change anything about it. It’s taken me a while to write this review, but I’ve been super busy since saying.. “I Do”.

It was literally ninety days ago that my husband Eric and I were married at Grand Geneva Resort and Spa.

Our coordinator was Jamie. She was super professional, patient, flexible and very resourceful. We also used Haley from Something Blue to coordinate on the day of... and she was stellar.

The venue itself was absolutely amazing, breathtakingly beautiful and in every way remarkable. The memories that were created from the planning process right up to our Bubble send off would not have been possible if it were not for the creativity, attention to details and flexibility of the entire Grand Geneva team who supported our event from start to finish.

We chose to have a Brunch wedding and our guests are still talking about the food and specialty “Mock-tails” that we named to match our courtship journey. “The Jazz Showcase”, “The Proposal”, “The Honeymoon”, and “Happily Ever After!”

I highly recommend Grand Geneva to any Bride who is looking for a naturally beautiful and elegant wedding venue, with great service, yummy food 😊and an overall experience that you’ll never forget!

We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at the Grand Geneva Resort and could not be more happy with everything!! The resort was very accommodating and our guests had a fantastic time at the pools and restaurants. The service and hospitality were excellent! The best part of having our wedding here was the support from a wedding coordinator that helps with EVERYTHING. Kate was the most amazing support and made our day what it was. We could not have done it without her! I can’t wait to come back here for many years to come to celebrate and remember our wedding!!

Wonderful service all around. From wait staff, transportation, guests amenities. We had many out of town guests and each enjoyed their stay over the weekend. I had the ceremony on the golf course, cocktail hour under the Pavilion, and reception at the Chalet. Grand Geneva was flexible in every way. The transportation was smooth. They were open to any designs I wanted to add in and vendors I wanted to use. Kate, our Grand Geneva Coordinator, was amazing. She was timely in communication and so fun to work with!

Our wedding was 10 days ago and WOW, Grand Geneva did such a fantastic job. We had our ceremony on the Fairview Lawn and the reception at the Mountain Top Chalet. Everything was picture perfect and the event itself including everything from timing and setup to food and drink was flawless. Kate Hartz, our Events Manager, was fantastic from start to finish while also keeping myself and others helping me plan in line. Our wait staff and especially our Captain Jamie, were just awesome. If I could do the day again, I wouldn't change a thing and I would 110% choose Grand Geneva again.

We are so grateful to Kate H and the team at the Grand Geneva for putting on the wedding of our dreams! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and provided an amazing space for guests to be together not only during the wedding but throughout the whole weekend. The lobby provided a great natural meeting space for guests, the wedding party and families were able to go golfing the Friday before, and the late night bar provided a space for guests to keep the party going late into the night. The villas were recently remodeled and provided a modern and spacious area for the bridal party to get ready and the grounds were an absolutely beautiful backdrop for photos. The staff, however, really made everything come full circle to make the perfect day. From Day 1, the staff listened to what was important to us and worked with us to create a wedding plan that reflected our vision. We were assigned Kate H as our day of coordinator and she was extremely organized, helpful, and patient throughout the whole process. She made suggestions along the way based on her experience with over 180 weddings and even helped create a 33 person head table (plus booster seat). The moment we got to the Grand Geneva it seemed like the entire staff was so happy for us and our wedding weekend and we received well wishes the entire weekend. Kate led our rehearsal, re-configured our ceremony set-up last minute due to weather, and even drove us in a golf cart for our first look. The servers were all extremely friendly, the food was amazing, and overall it was a weekend we will never forget. We have just hosted our daughter's wedding at the Grand Geneva in the Ski Chalet. It was nothing less than magical. Kate was there to make sure things went smoothly and we could not be more pleased. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely helpful. Beautiful, fun, unique atmosphere. We have rave reviews from friends and family!

The Grand Geneva truly was my dream venue in every aspect. When searching for venues, I knew I had loved attending weddings at hotels because it was incredibly easy as a guest and extended the celebration because everyone was in the same place. I also knew I wanted to find a space that was charming, non-traditional, warm, and had character. When I stepped into the Chalet, just one of the many venues the Grand Geneva offers, I felt like all my dreams were coming true. I wanted character, and this space has it in spades. Every aspect of planning the wedding there was easy and enjoyable, from our initial tours with Alex who was such a wonderful help in the early stages, to booking the venue and working with Kate who answered every single question along the way and was by my side through the end of the wedding, to planning our menu with the amazing kitchen staff, to designing our cake with their incredibly talented baker. It was all wonderful and I believe that everyone at the Grand Geneva did everything in their power to make sure we got our dream wedding. I couldn't have had a better wedding experience and it all started with my venue choice. I highly recommend it and only have the most positive things to say. Also, insider tip to anyone who is planning a wedding there: stay in a villa! You won't regret it!! Other major perks: the trolley that takes you around the grounds, the deck attached to the chalet that has a fire pit and seating all night, the gorgeous chandelier right over the dance floor in the chalet, and the millions of perfect picture spots on the ground to utilize during your wedding day!

We had our daughter Wedding Ceremony and Reception at the Grand Geneva on 06/30/18. Everything was PERFECT!
The ceremony views were absolutely breathtaking. Kate Hartz was amazing to work with and handled everything with ease. We received so many compliments on the atmosphere, reception hall, food and wedding cake made by the pastry chef. We stayed at the beautiful Villas and received 5 Star VIP treatment. We had both our ceremony and our reception at Grand Geneva in May! Everything was absolutely PERFECT... from the initial planning meeting to walking down the aisle and dancing the night away! The entire event staff was professional and helpful, everyone down to the trolley drivers. I still am getting compliments on the food, atmosphere, and hospitality. I apologize for taking so long to leave this review but better late than never. My husband and I got married at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa back in October. We were drawn to the unique location and beautiful property. And of course, it was an added bonus to be able to say that I got married at the Playboy Mansion! haha. Our wedding was a big, (FAT – so much food), Indian wedding, and it was exciting to offer our guests a mini getaway and something different from the usual Chicagoland banquet halls so many of us have grown used to for weddings. We loved that we were able to fully make use of the beautiful Grand Geneva property and have our different events in different rooms/areas of the resort. We had such a wonderful experience working with Grand Geneva. We began our process of viewing the property (multiple times) and negotiating the contract with Sales Manager, Gabi. Then, we worked with Event Manager, Jessica, for the rest of the planning up until the wedding weekend. Both ladies were such a joy to work with. We had A LOT of specific and random needs and wants, and Grand Geneva was so accommodating of all of our requests. We worked closely with Jessica to iron out all of our various details, and we just cannot say enough great things about her. She listened to what we wanted as well as our concerns, and she always had solutions and options to offer to us. Jessica made my process of wedding planning a lot easier than what it could have been. We are so grateful to her and all of her hard work and efforts. A huge THANK YOU to Jessica and everyone at Grand Geneva! I could not have asked for a more beautiful and wonderful wedding weekend! We were married at the ski chalet in August and we are still hearing from our guests how our wedding was the best they have ever been to. And I owe it all to Grand Geneva AND KATE! We were treated like royalty from the very start. The venue is BEAUTIFUL. The food is incredible. and their customer service is outstanding. My friends and family loved staying at the resort the weekend of the wedding. And then theres Kate. My. gawd. Kate was a rockstar. I have 0 idea what I would have done without her! She was patient, SO HELPFUL, sweet and hilarious. Whenever I needed ANYTHING, she was there helping out. She even knew I needed things before I even knew I needed them myself! She went way above and beyond her duties.. and I will forever be grateful to her. She made our day perfection!

We couldn't have been more happy with our experience at The Grand Geneva! I am active duty in the military and as such, I was planning my wedding while I was deployed in Afghanistan. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to convey what I wanted from afar and that my "vision" wouldn't come to life the way I wanted it to but that was not the case at all! Kate was the most phenomenal wedding coordinator and made everything turn out exactly as I had envisioned! We only met once during the planning process due to my living across the county, but she was quick to respond to my every email when I had a new idea or wanted to change my catering/cake/decor plan (for the millionth time). She went above and beyond on the day of, adding little details to our setup and ensuring that I didn't have to worry about anything. In addition to the wonderful pre-wedding experience, the day of waitstaff and bartenders were also AMAZING. They were so attentive to our guests and made me feel like a celebrity with their kindness. Everyone said our food was phenomenal and their overall experience was fantastic. Thank you, Grand Geneva, for making our wedding a dream come true!

Our wedding was this past April and we are so glad we had it at the Grand Geneva! Kate Hartz was our event coordinator and she was amazing! We really lucked out with her. She helped recommend a good DJ, florist and photographer, who we all ended up loving. She was super creative throughout the whole process and gave us great ideas. And she really went out of her way to help us--she even picked up some vases from another nearby resort that my sister had used at her wedding--I was very impressed! Also she is so detail-oriented that we knew everything would be ready for the big day. And it ended up being the most perfect wedding. She made it entirely stress-free for my husband and I. She worked flawlessly with our DJ and photographer to make sure everything was going as planned. My parents who also worked and talked with her were also very impressed with her. The Grand Geneva as a whole was also fantastic, everyone who works there is so pleasant and are always smiling. Thank you Grand Geneva and Kate Hartz!!

Wonerderful resort. Families stayed at the water park hotel section in family suites with kitchens. Adult couples stayed in main hotel. The spa was amazing! Every thing in one location for every one. Top notch and high class!

I had the pleasure of planning a wedding for a client in December 2014. We hosted the rehearsal dinner as well as the reception. As a planner of more than four decades, it was truly a pleasure to work with such consummate professionals. The first impression of guests checking in at the front desk to the setup crew who was so accommodating along with the tremendous culinary and banquet team, our bridal couple, their families and guests all had a tremendous weekend. My very special thanks to Cory Congemi who was assigned as our event manager....such a wonderful person to work with and he made it all easy as there were many moving parts. Thanks to the entire team for an exceptionally produced collaborative event.

Absolutley amazing venue to have your wedding at. I had my rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all at the resort. The grounds and hotel are gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and so accommodating! My wedding coordinator, Kaitlin W., was very professional and new what to do even before I told her! I swear she could read my mind but it just showed how great she is at her job. I had so much confidence in her that the day of the wedding I could focus on having fun getting ready with my bridesmaids and family. There was even another huge event that took over the resort the same weekend and I never felt my parties needs were put second. They actually offered free valet parking all weekend long to my guests! Can't wait to go back and stay just for a vacation soon!

We love the Grand Geneva! We got engaged at the Grand so naturally it was a no brainer to get married there. The Grand Geneva hosted both our ceremony and our wedding reception. I have to say it was the best day of our lives. The weather didn't quite cooperate but everything was swiftly and efficiently moved to the alternate ceremony location. We did not have one single hiccup during the day. Kate Hartz was our Event Manger and she is absolutely fabulous. Her personality is great, she's fun and extremely easy to work with. We had our reception in the Maple Lawn Ballroom and it was stunning. The food was not your typical banquet hall food, it was exemplary, we received so many compliments about our food. The Resort itself is stunning, every single one of our guests stayed the night at the Resort, and I didnt hear one complaint. I can't say enough positive words for the Grand Geneva Resort. You get what you pay for and the Grand is worth every penny.

Grand Geneva was an absolutely wonderful venue. The staff was accomodating and the venue itself was absolutely gorgeous. The food was amazing and the cake was gorgeous. The timing of everything the day of the wedding worked out perfectly.

Kate and the Grand Geneva helped me give my daughter the wedding of her dreams. From the planning process to the day of the event, Kate was available to us 24/7. Her attention to detail and creative flair created the elegance we were looking for. At first I was nervous about the food because I am super picky, but they ate super flexible and can adjust their menus to accommodate any diet or picky eater. The desert was the hit of the evening. We had. Beautiful presentation on our desert and everyone loved it.
The staff was wonderful and they were very professional.

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at the Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva Wisconsin! They made our wedding absolutely perfect! My family and I have a lot of history at the Grand Geneva - my parents spent their high school proms at the resort when it was the playboy club, my husband's parents spent their vacations at the Grand and my husband and I always celebrated the holidays at the Grand Geneva admiring the most BEAUTIFUL holiday decorations. On December 20th, 2011, my husband proposed while we were vacationing at the Grand! We could not think of a better place to get married than where our parents fell in love and where we fell in love and got engaged! Everything was seriously PERFECT at our wedding: the wedding planning, the food, the service, the guestrooms, the wedding space and our wedding planner!!! Most of our guests spent at least two nights at the property because they loved it so much! I can't wait to celebrate our 1 year anniversary at the Grand Geneva next year and many many more memories with my family!!!!

We got married at the ski chalet at the grand geneva! Perfect venue for our style. The venue was pretty bare and we brought in a huge trailer of decor. Marlene Munich was our wedding coordinator and made everything happen. Everything was perfect and we couldn't have asked for more for our wedding.

The BEST of the BEST. We have our evening cocktail event here and Jamiaca was AMAZING she was so great. Our wedding guests all stayed here and they all mentioned what great service they got as well. If I had to do it all over again I would have the whole thing here! Their customer services is an A+

We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Grand Geneva. Our wedding was everything we imagined and more! The grounds at the Grand are beautiful. Perfect for any special event or wedding. They keep the entire resort clean to perfection. The staff ... always friendly and helpful. The food ... amazing!! Service ... top notch. The event was perfect! Perfect because we had the most amazing wedding planner .... Marlene Minnich. I can not say enough good things about her. From the moment we met her we knew that we had nothing to worry about. She executed every vision we had with detail and ease. Marlene is truly the best in the business. She is amazing!! We had many comments that it was one of the best wedding venues our family and friends had ever attended.

I can't say enough good things about working with Cecil at the Grand Geneva. He anticipated our every need and was always there with a smile and a calm demeanor which made everything right. The Grand Geneva is elegant but friendly, the food is superb, and all the extras (the horse drawn carriage, the trolley ride, the spa services) made my daughter's wedding something we will always cherish as the happiest of days imaginable.

I can not think of anything that went wrong at my wedding thanks to the impeccable service we received at Grand Geneva. The event coordinators (we worked with Marlene) were excellent in the way they guided us through the many decisions that had to be made. No detail was overlooked. One guest mentioned to a waiter during cocktail hour that she had a shellfish allergy, when our crab salad was served as our first course in the reception hers had been swapped out for a choice she could eat! That is attention to detail! She never had to ask, her needs and ours were anticipated at every turn. We had both our ceremony and reception on site, every aspect of the facility met 100% of my expectations.
We had a block of rooms reserved within the Resort and the experience was very positive. Not a single negative comment was made regarding the hotel experience by our 100+ guests!
I booked several spa services for myself and my bridal party and family at the on-site Well Spa. We were very please with each service, the professionalism of the staff, and the incredible facilities.
The food throughout the week was incredibly delicious. The meal served at our evening wedding reception was incredible, as were the appetizers and amazing cake!! We also tried several of the restaurants, all of which had good service and excellent meal choices.

I would highly recommend the Grand Geneva for any event you might have in mind! Their service and willingness to help you will be worth every penny you spend. I was able to completely relax and enjoy every single second of my day thanks to their efficiency!!

We reserved a block of suites in the Vacation Club for ourselves and our guests. The rooms were huge and well-appointed, each one including a separate bedroom, full kitchen, washer and dryer, fireplace, etc. Half had whirlpools so ask if your room will include it when you book. If you do get one, they have a tendency to trip the breakers, which the staff will fix pronto or you can just open the circuit breaker box by the door. They gave us passes to the water park for the trouble so we didn't mind! The location was very quiet and secluded while still being close to Lake Geneva, plus everyone enjoyed the beautiful views of the golf course. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the resort!

We booked the Grand Geneva trolley to use as transportation on our wedding day. We were extremely pleased with our driver, he couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. The trolley was clean and reasonably priced. It was a great way to transport our large wedding party plus their dates.

The Grand Geneva resort has always been a fave place of mine! It's beautiful, professional, private, and exquisite.

It's been almost 5 years and I still remember Brandi, who helped us so much! She was amazing. She had wonderful ideas, was able to work with our travel schedule (we lived in AZ and CA, while planning the wedding), the food tasting was exceptional, getting in contact with her was always easy and she was always able to answer my questions in a timely manner.

Our day went off perfectly and she followed through all the way til the end.

If we could do it all over again, we definitely would do it there! The weather and view were great, there was plenty of room to dance, eat, mingle, ect. It was so perfect!!!! We even forgot our cake the morning after and they went to the room and got it for us and put it in the fridge until we got back later that day to pick it up! They were there every step of the way for us!!!!

We booked the Mountaintop Chalet for my daughter's wedding reception. It is a lowly ski lodge in the winter ,but with some creativity and a good florist it transforms to an incredible spring/summer reception venue. Our guests loved it and Kate from the Grand Geneva was incredible. It was a night we will never forget!

The grand Geneva was great to work with overall. Loved the chalet wedding venue, you have your own space as opposed to being at the grand Geneva with a bunch of other events going on. Rhonda, our coordinator was great to work with. The venue made us feel special throughout the entire process and especially our wedding weekend. Our ceremony was supposed to be outside overlooking a certain view and it was raining pretty hard And I still wanted to have the same view so they were able to lay minute accommodate us under the awning off the back of the building with the same view.

I only have one negative thing to say about this vendor: if you aren't a guest at the resort, they won't book an appointment more then a week ahead of time without purchasing a giftcard online and waiting for it to come in the mail.

Other than that, it was wonderful! Both my hair and makeup turned out beautiful and I was pampered the whole time. It's worth the extra money for sure!

We had a beautiful reception at the Geneva Chophouse. Stephanie, the restaurant sales manager, was wonderful to work with from the beginning. She helped our wedding turn out beautifully! Our guests thought the food and room were beautiful! The waitstaff during the dinner were wonderful and very accomodating! We recommend Grand Geneva to everyone!

The staff was awesome at Grand Geneva. Easy to work with and in the end was very accommodating. Our reception and ceremony space were very nice too!

We choose the Grand Geneva to host our wedding near the end of August. We had both the ceremony and the after-ceremony luncheon on the property.
They have a couple of beautiful locations for outdoor ceremonies that overlook a large lake and the golf course. It was the ceremony site that sold us on the property.
The event staff was great to work with and very responsive. They worked hard on every detail and really made our day special. Our luncheon was delicious and the location was very comfortable and beautiful.
The overnight accommodations were also very nice.

Our wedding was a dream come true. Everything went smoothly the day of and leading up to the wedding. There was constant contact with our assigned coordinator. The chalet was beautiful and it met all my expectations.

This venue was amazing for our wedding! Heather Dahlman really sold us on picking our spots for the green view for the ceremony overlooking the 18th hole and the chalet for our reception, it was perfect for our guest count under 150 people. She was very attentive to listening and making sure our questions were answered. Andrea Raykovich was our wedding coordinator and was truly so patient with me to ensure that our needs were met and the ability to personalize anything we wanted. She is so much fun, easy to communicate with and was always there throughout the whole process making sure we were having a good time! I appreciate her good re-pore she had with all our vendors (Lilypots/Sound by Design) it made the process so much smoother as everyone knew their parts. I cannot thank you both so much for making our day so memorable.
I also strongly recommend having your bridal party get their nails, hair and make-up done at the Grand Geneva Spa. It was so great that it was onsite, Becca, my hairstylist was incredible (from the trials to day of), my hair/makeup stayed the entire night! It was great to be able to have everyone there the day of and less stressful. Would do our wedding all over again :) ! Strongly recommend this venue !! They can make it happen !!

We had our wedding reception at the Grand Geneva in October. Throughout the entire process they were easy to work with. We really like Heather our sales person - she was excellent and responded to everything in a timely manner. There were some differences in what Heather said vs. what our day of event coordinator stated which was disappointing. Our day of event coordinator quit two weeks before the wedding but the new day of event coordinator was friendly and took over with little issue. I was surprised though that the event manager was not willing to take over when our event coordinator quit. They had told us that they would bring our gift to our room but the night of the reception they told us that they couldn't touch our gifts for legal reasons and put us in a bit of a bind as it was not easy to get our gift to our room as there was no elevated to our floor.They also provided the food and cupcakes for the reception. The appetizers were outstanding. The reception food was good - typical wedding fare. As far as venues go, they are on the more expensive side for sure. And they were not very flexible about the open bar unlike other venues we looked it as we had several older guests who drank maybe one glass of wine but had to be included in the open bar price per person. Overall, we had a good experience here and I would recommend it to our couples getting married.

We planned a rehearsal dinner on the Links Patio overlooking the golf course and around the awesome patio fireplace. Unfortunately this space is uncovered and our backup was a very undesirable meeting room in the conference center, though we knew this going in. As it has it, the day of our rehearsal arrived and the weathermen were calling for rain. We are thankful to the event staff for working with us and still held our event outside on the patio, with only one quick rainshower and then the evening turned beautiful. A few negatives from our experience however: 1) we had a pre-event meeting planned in early July, and after driving 1.5 hrs out there we found out the event manager forgot the meeting and was off that day 2) We had a fish fry planned with two fish options. It was delicious, so much so they ran out of food a number of times and it took a while to get more made which delayed some people being able to eat together 3) there was some major miscommunication regarding our plan to have a s'more bar for our guests. For a while it looked like we were not going to be able to serve it, but the events manager came through in the end and made things right. Everyone absolutely loved the s'more bar - it was a huge hit! While the entire evening did not go quite as we had envisioned going into the day, we ultimately had a great time celebrating with our friends and family on the beautiful links patio. Thanks everyone for their efforts to keep the night going for us!

The Grand Geneva was a great spot for our wedding. We loved everything about the venue from our ceremony at the Greenview spot to our reception at the Chalet Room! Cory was great to work with and he worked with us to fit our budget. There were only a couple issues the day after the wedding relating to keeping our cake for us, and the resort not holding stuff that we left in the rooms while getting ready for the ceremony. Other than that, it was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this venue to couples getting married.

I loved my wedding at Grand Geneva, but we did run into a few problems. I was passed off to 3 different wedding coordinators (1 without even talking to her). The 2nd left a little over a month before my wedding, so the 3rd person really had to rush to put things together. He did a pretty good job, but I felt a little cast aside at that point. We also had some trouble booking rooms. Guest were told the hotel was booked well before the cutoff date they had given me. We went online and had no problem booking rooms (simple solution, but tough for our older guests).

Can't wait to see it all come together. The venue it self is exactly what I wanted we are having our reception in the chalet. The wedding coordinator is a bit cold and vague but it only matters how she is on the actual day I guess we will see.

My husband and I got married at The Grand Geneva Resort on November 11, 2016. We live in the Chicago area, but wanted somewhat of a destination wedding. It was the perfect location! Lake Geneva is a beautiful area particularly in the fall. We planned our wedding in 6 months. Communications with Grand Geneva were a little slow during our planning process, but I assumed it was because it was their busiest time of year (summer) with multiple weddings per weekend. Closer to our wedding date, our communications with our coordinator, improved greatly and things went very well. Our wedding rehearsal was easy and our wedding day went very well. Our coordinator had timelines and details worked out perfectly with our vendors. The only issue worth noting is a mishap during our reception. There was a disconnect when our coordinator left the reception for the night and then who was supposed to prompt the start of speeches, etc. or what time that was supposed to happen. As a result, things were delayed in getting started and we had to skip out on a few things like the slideshow created by the photographer. Not the end of the world, but something that could have been prevented. Regardless, our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were great. My husband and I were incredibly happy! We received so many compliments from our guests about how lovely the venue was, how great the service was, how delicious the food was and just how much fun everyone had. I would definitely recommend The Grand Geneva Resort for a wedding. In fact, we are looking forward to planning a golf weekend or a getaway weekend there again, sometime soon!

Grand Geneva is a beautiful ceremony and reception venue. Food and presentation was excellent. Make sure to ask questions up front about additional costs such as the white ceremony chairs, table linens, chair covers, use of resort trolley, set up fees and fee for handing out welcome baskets to guests. Also, ask ahead of time about the use of the grounds for wedding pictures. Information given during initial tour prior to contract being signed changed once contract was signed and locked in.

All in all, our wedding day was beautiful, but, there was not a lot of flexibility when working with the weddng coordinator.

Recently just had the opportunity and joy of getting married at Grand Geneva! This venue was quite beautiful, with many high points, and some not-so-stellar points, as with any reception place.
THE PLANNING: The planning went well, as we signed our contract 2 years prior to the event date for (2017). We were informed we were one of the first weddings to sign on for 2017, so we felt secure in our choice for an outdoor ceremony and the Chalet for our reception. Fast forward two years, we had THREE DIFFERENT coordinators, THREE different rehearsal dinner managers, and FOUR Spa Managers. This is exhausting from someone trying to plan from afar - sending e-mails with no responses, leaving voicemails with no one responding, all to find out that there is a new person to update and get on the same page about what the wedding will look like and what the hope for the end result will be. Luckily, it all came together as imagined, as for the wedding day I didn't leave things to chance and made sure outside hires and my family decorator was available to set up as planned.
THE REHEARSAL: The rehearsal went well, except we were not allowed to rehearse in the space that we reserved because a dinner was going on in that space. It is hard for me to imagine that this dinner was booked 2 years prior, but I feel that this was a huge dissatisfaction to myself, my groom, and our bridal party. THE DINNER, however, was extremely well executed. The wait staff, including Melissa, Emma F, Cali, and Kathy S were amazing with my bridal group. (Also, shout out to our bartender Kyle that personally came to take our orders during cocktail hour).
THE RECEPTION: The ceremony was gorgeous (except someone was allowed to walk behind the ceremony site in photographers' view) and the reception was so much fun, but the food was different than what we had taste-tested (specifically the pasta and potato dish ... new chef?)
Luckily, all the rough roads went unnoticed by our guests! Only to the B&G.

Our venue changed our wedding coordinator 20 days before our big day. We had to inform the new coordinator of all the plans that had been made thus far and plans made after ran late. There were mistakes with the bill and it needed to be double checked more than once. They compensated us or the errors, most of which aren't listed but overall our day turned out great. The food was to die for, the up lighting was breath taking and from the time our ceremony began things ran perfectly .

The Grand Geneva Ski Chalet proved to be the absolute perfect venue for our wedding day! We were blown away with how beautiful and inviting the space was for our guests and the food was wonderful. We unfortunately had a very negative experience throughout the entire planning process due to poor communication and continuous incorrect information (e.g. incorrect menus, quotes, room booking links, etc.) being sent to us with frequent inability to reach our site coordinator for clarification. We hired our own wedding planner and coordinator to assist with the process, but this seemed to only worsen the miscommunication or lack thereof. With great effort, we were able to escalate our concerns and did obtain the correct information in most cases once our wedding was less than a month away. The actual wedding weekend was a tremendous success (minus a few unfortunate encounters with the venue bartenders), but with the amount of money we were paying we expected a significantly higher level of service. We did not expect planning a wedding at such an established resort would be such a negative and difficult process from beginning to end.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous and it saddens me to write this. It all started with our event manager, Kate. She was the opposite of helpful, incredibly unprofessional, and at times, just plain rude. At one point, she sent an email that she ended up ‘recalling,’ but not before I read it. Let me tell you, it was a good thing my mother didn’t get the chance to read it. Kate ended up leaving Grand Geneva the month before our wedding and we got a new event manager, Amanda (who was lovely). The arch that we had reserved for our ceremony suddenly became imaginary (GG had no record of it) the month before our wedding, leaving us scrambling to find a new one.
We are from out-of-state and so were 99% of our guests. We requested early checkin for our block of rooms since our ceremony was at 5p and normal checkin is at 4p. We received no guarantees and a lot of push-back. At one point, Kate told us that we would either have to tell guests to wear their formal attire in the car or that we could use the lockers in the spa (but our items needed to be out by 7p which was in the middle of our reception).
We had issues while checking in and out regarding our bill. The front desk staff attempted to bill us for our complementary room. They also attempted to double charge my mother for her 3 nights.
We made hospitality bags for our guests and were lead to believe that they would be kept behind the front desk, and handed out to guests in our block upon check-in (this cost us $50). Thursday night, we were at the bar and noticed a random guest with one of our bags. We brought the issue up to the bar manager and it turns out that the bags were left on a countertop, around the corner from the front desk. They were out in the open, for anyone to take. We brought the issue up to Amanda and she asked if we would like the remainder of the bags brought to guests’ rooms. We agreed, however, no one actually received any of those bags.
The day of our wedding, it rained all day. We were set to have the ceremony outside on the Greenview and inside the Chalet as a back-up. We made the call around 11am if we were going to have it inside or out. When guests started arriving and asking the front desk where the ceremony would be held, everyone was told something different. Some staff said it was still outside (in the rain??) and some said it would be in the ballroom. This miscommunication lead to approximately 10% of our guests to miss our ceremony. This is unforgivable.
In regards to the Chalet itself, we loved it. However, there were multiple leaks in the roof. One leak landed right next to a guest in a wheelchair who was intentionally seated next to the lift. The other problem with the Chalet is that your food will be luke warm, at best (we chose family style for food).
My aunt, uncle, cousin/bridesmaid, and her husband, stayed in a large villa. Villas can cost $600+/night and they stayed for 3 nights. In the middle of the night, the roof began to leak on my cousin and her husband while they slept in their bed. They had to leave their bed and sleep on the couch. They were offered two free breakfasts as compensation. TWO. FREE. BREAKFASTS.
We have been in contact with Jim K, Director of Events. We were refunded the $50 for the bags and my aunt was refunded 1 night of her villa. My family and I feel that this is not enough compensation for the issues we had. Getting married is stressful, but it’s supposed to be beautiful and happy. However, this entire experience was something I’d never wish on anyone.
