We got married here in September 2022. I don't even have to words to explain how amazing this place and the staff is! Alex and Erin went above and beyond to make our big day and perfect as can be. They were SO easy to communicate with and plan with leading up to the day. The day of went so smoothly thanks to them, even though we had some unexpected rain right before the ceremony, they KILLED it at rounding everyone up so we could get the ceremony done earlier to beat the rain. The resort itself is perfect for a wedding. The views are impeccable, there are tons of rooms for guests to stay, and so many things to do. We had family fly in from all over and we everyone was please with how exceptional everything was. Our reception was in the Four Seasons Room. So easily accessible from the ceremony and cocktail hour, the food was 10/10 and the bar did an amazing job. It was hands down the best day of our lives, I wish I could relive it over and over. Thank you again, Alex, Erin and everyone at Golden Arrow. Much love! -

Magical Wedding
Alex the general manager went above and beyond for me and helped make my wedding vision a reality. She’s absolutely amazing to work with. This is a family owned hotel so everyone will know your name. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is delicious and the strip steak is huge. The view is absolutely breathtaking. I’m so happy I decided to have my wedding here. It was intimate and romantically beautiful.
Our wedding was magical.
The only thing I would recommend is to have a stronger air conditioning system for the ballroom.

Tom and I got married in Oct 2023 and had a magical Fall woodland wedding experience. The team at the Golden Arrow (Alex, Eric, and Natasha) truly made our wedding weekend dreams come true and offered so much support through the process. We had a specific vision and lots of requests & the end result was all that we could ever wished for and it was because of this team that this came to be! Book this venue if you want a lakeside wedding experience - you will cherish this decision forever. -

Not only is the resort beautiful but the people are amazing. We had stayed here before so we knew what the resort and town had to offer. Our coordinators, Alex and Maureen, made planning a destination wedding a breeze. We were only on site twice before arriving for our wedding. Once to initially meet them/tour the venue and then later for our tasting. All other communication was done through email or phone. They were both incredibly accessible, responsive, and supportive. The staff in general were so kind to everyone and went out of their way to ensure we all had what we needed. When we arrived, everything came together easily and without a lot of added stress.
The venue hosted two weddings that weekend (ours on Friday, another couples on Saturday). I never felt neglected or in anyone’s way. Our coordinators were communicative during our entire stay, even after our wedding day. I felt I had a very positive “bride experience” even though I wasn’t the only bride there.
We received a lot of positive feedback from our guests regarding the food, bar, and general service. We did a buffet, food was hot and delicious. Everyone was raving about the chicken parm. I never once saw (or heard about) people waiting at the bar either. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly.
We were lucky we had great weather on our wedding day which allowed us to use all of the beautiful outdoor areas/views. Our first look was on top of the boat house, family
portraits were lakeside, our ceremony was on the lawn, and we were able to go out onto the lake in their gondola. Our guests enjoyed an indoor-outdoor setting for the cocktail hour and reception.
The property is incredibly dog friendly. Both of my pupswere on site for all festivities and were allowed in both the bridal suite and the reception space. It was an added bonus that they could be present the entire day.
Most of our guests stayed on site and had a really relaxing weekend enjoying the amenities and what the town has to offer. All of our guests traveled for our wedding so it was important to us that they were able to treat it like a mini vacation. Multiple people later told us they can’t wait to return to Lake Placid and Golden Arrow. Special shout out to Cousin Vinny who worked most of our stay and always made time to check in with us and chat. He is incredibly attentive and personable.
Overall I would highly recommend this venue if you’re looking for a low stress, one stop-shop that can offer a beautiful outdoor Adirondack setting. -

As a photographer, this was a beautiful venue to work at! Grounds are big for different backdrops and the scenery is amazing, especially a sunset. very helpful staff as well.

From day 1, Golden arrow was amazing with planning our wedding. The two wedding coordinators, Alex and Erin, are beyond exceptional and makes the days leading up to the wedding and wedding day as easy as possible. The weekend of our wedding, both Alex and Erin, went above and beyond to make sure we were ready for our big day. Literally not one thing went wrong the day of the wedding thanks to them. Almost all our guests have told us it was one of the most beautiful and amazing weddings they have ever been too. I wish we could redo our wedding day over and over at the Golden Arrow. It was the best decision my husband and I had made. Alex and Erin are truly the best. -

Dream Wedding Weekend!
My husband and I got married on 10/01/23 at the Golden Arrow in Lake Placid, NY. We have nothing but great things to say. We have been coming to Lake Placid for years together and we knew we wanted to get married in one of our favorite places. We chose the Golden Arrow because it is in a beautiful setting, lake side, and everything is in one place which all of our guests loved. After the ceremony you can take a just married boat ride and have a champagne toast, which was one of the best moments we had of the night. Our guest count was about 95, which was the perfect size for the reception space. I would recommend looking else where for larger weddings over 130 people. Alex and Erin are so friendly and fun. The groomsmen wanted to take a boat ride during cocktail hour and Alex took them out, which we thought was so cool! From the moment that we booked to the day of our wedding I want to thank Erin, Alex, and Natasha for answering every email promptly with a positive attitude, even the silly ones. They definitely help anxious brides feel at ease and we knew we had nothing to worry about the day of. If you want a medium sized Lake Placid wedding, do not look any further than the Golden Arrow. We had the best weekend of our lives and would do it over again if we could! :) -

Perfect in every way 💙
Wedding date 10/13/23. I have a million good things to say about the Golden Arrow and staff. From the first meeting onward, Alex, Erin and Natasha were amazing. They were always responsive and helpful for any questions we had throughout the planning process. There’s many beautiful places in Lake Placid for a wedding, but what really sold us was of course the beautiful gondola and LOCATION. Our guests loved being able to walk out of the resort onto the main street for additional dining, shopping, etc. There’s also plenty of parking at the resort and public parking all around it. We had our ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour on the boathouse, and reception in the four seasons room. With just under 100 guests there was more than enough space without feeling overcrowded. They also had a suitable backup plan in the event of a downpour, but we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather. The bridal suite is extremely spacious with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Mirror Lake. They have curtains if you’re worried about guests looking in on you getting ready. There’s also a restroom inside the suite. Erin checked in throughout the day to see if we needed anything and answer any last minute questions we may have had. My husband and I opted not to do a first look, so our photographs did a great job keeping us separated before the ceremony as the resort is quite spacious. There are so many beautiful spots on the property for photos beyond the obvious lake/mountain views. Our photographer and DJ were recommended by the Golden Arrow. We were very happy with their familiarity with the resort and the staff as they have worked together on multiple occasions. This made for smooth sailing throughout the day. (Photos: Jeff Welt, DJ: MX Productions) Alex noticed the song I walked down the aisle to was a Foo Fighters song and when she took us out on the gondola played Foo Fighters music for us. It made it even more memorable and fun. The resort was very accommodating to dietary restrictions. We did a buffet and Natasha made sure everything was labeled accordingly. Erin made sure my husband and I got appetizers between photos and greetings. She also went above and beyond to accommodate my celiac disease restrictions. Natasha also made sure my husband and I got our drinks and dinner as guests were occupying much of our time. We had an amazing reception full on nonstop dancing, and when that ended we moved the party to the nightclub Roomers which is conveniently located next door. You can also access it through the resort as the buildings are attached. 10/10 would recommend! -

Highly recommend! 10/10 experience!
My husband and I got married at the beautiful Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort on 10/10/2022 and our experience was incredible. From start to finish, communication with Alex, Erin, and Natasha was flawless and you can tell they are truly invested in the outcome of your wedding day. Any time I had a question throughout the planning process, they were quick to answer and never made you feel like a burden despite knowing how busy they are each and every day. On the day of our wedding, they were so much fun to work with and made us feel so at ease with their calm demeanors and sense of humor. As for the venue, what is there to say? It speaks for itself with how gorgeous it is! We were married on the North Lawn overlooking the lake and breathtaking mountains. After the ceremony, our guests were moved to the Boathouse for a lovely cocktail hour while my husband and I were taken on a boat ride around Mirror Lake to have a few moments to ourselves. Our reception was held inside and the food was incredible. We are coming up on our 1-year anniversary (and will be heading back to the Golden Arrow to celebrate - woo hoo!) and to this day, we still have guests telling us how it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. If you are looking to have the most magical wedding, look no further than the Golden Arrow. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Alex, Erin, and all of the staff. Fantastic Weekend Wedding Experience
My husband and I have visited this resort and had our wedding here this year and we could not say enough good things about the entire experience. The staff, views, and location could not be better. For our wedding we could not have asked for a better experience with this all in one venue. Erin, Alex,& Natasha were easy to work with, and so helpful while planning our big day. The venue was so easy to plan with since everything for the reception is in house and anything they don’t have they provide a fantastic list of vendors local to Lake Placid. This was also the only venue we found that offered a consumption bar, which made for a huge cost savings if you don’t have a large crowd of drinkers! We had 100 people and only spent about $3,200 of our $5000 budget.
While the rooms were more than others in the area, the convenience, location, and amenities make it worth every cent. The only stress we had was making sure we filled the required 15 rooms needed for our wedding, which we made but was our only concern since you have to pay for them if you don’t fill them.
We were able to have our guests meet at generations before our rehearsal dinner for cocktails and snacks and everyone loved it. The bar staff were great and it made getting to our rehearsal and dinner easy.
Thank you Golden Arrow / Generations team! I could go on about how happy we are with everything! We had a wonderful weekend with you and your team!

PERFECT Place to get Married
We got married this past June at the Golden Arrow and it quite literally was the best day of our lives. It is the most beautiful and perfect place to get married. We are so happy we went with Golden Arrow in Lake Placid.
Alex & Erin were incredible to work with as our wedding coordinators. From the start of working with them, the planning leading up, to the day of - we are so pleased with the entire process. Alex & Erin are seriously THE BEST! Both of them are really friendly and fun to work, so attentive to a bride’s details, had our wedding day flow seamlessly and really added special touches to make our entire weekend there so special to us.
Not to mention - accommodations right at the venue for guests were so nice to have, the VIEWS simply speak for themself, the staff is amazing (shout out to Natasha, cousin Vinny and Charles!) and the food was incredible. We had so many guests complimenting us all evening on the venue, the food and how they can't wait to come back to visit Lake Placid again! -

Highly Recommend!!
The whole experience was amazing!! Alex and Erin made the planning process so easy. We did a virtual tour and were immediately so excited about the location. Upon arrival it was much more beautiful than we expected. First thing we noticed was how nice and helpful the staff was at every turn! Could not recommend this place enough. The whole day went so smoothly and the food was great!! Our families thoroughly enjoyed themselves and will be going back! The perfect wedding venue!! -

If you are looking for a wedding venue that has a space for your ceremony (right on Mirror Lake with the gorgeous Adirondack Mountains in the background), cocktail hour, reception and most importantly somewhere all of your guests can stay, then seriously look no further. Lake Placid has always been a special place for us and I never imagined that we would be able to get married there, but the Golden Arrow made that more than possible! Words cannot begin to describe how grateful we are to Alex, Erin, Maureen, and the rest of the staff who helped make our day so incredibly special. We have the unique challenge of currently living abroad, but they handled all of the planning and preparation (even while coordinating over video chat and dealing with a 6-hour time difference). Our guests were blown away by how conveniently located the resort was from literally everything. All of the shops in the village of Lake Placid, tons of restaurant options, the Olympic attractions, and incredible hiking areas. So many of them came up to us afterward and told us that they planned to come back to Lake Placid just because of amazing the experience they had at our wedding and at the Golden Arrow. When people ask us about our wedding day, we honestly cannot think of a single thing that went wrong or that we would have done differently. It was everything that we hoped it would be and more, and we seriously have the Golden Arrow and their staff to thank! -

We chose Golden Arrow for the gorgeous location - but what we didn't expect was the phenomenal team and experience that came with it. From the initial meeting with Alex and Erin, we were sold. We had complete trust in them to make our day just perfect, with such little effort from us. Our families loved the town of Lake Placid - there was something for everyone, which made the time up there so enjoyable for all. The hotel crew made everything so seamless and easy for everyone, even during a busy time. Having Generations right onsite was wonderful and all our guests loved having a restaurant they could pop over to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Rain was in the forecast for our outdoor ceremony, but Alex and Erin were so proactive in coming up with options, never once was I concerned that the day would be beautiful. Right before our first look, the zipper of my dress came off and Erin sprang into action and (quite literally) sewed me into my dress. Our guests said the food was great (shoutout to Natasha and her staff!!), the night was perfect and we couldn't possibly agree more. We are so happy to say the Golden Arrow was the location of the best day of our lives.

Our experience with the golden arrow for our wedding was nothing short of incredible! Alex, Natasha, and Erin were so easy to work with.
They we’re incredibly accommodating when it came to postponing our wedding due to COVID guidelines and our wedding day/weekend was truly worth the wait!
The team was so responsive to emails and questions, especially the months leading up to our wedding which was so important and so appreciated!
The food was wonderful, and even every one of the wait staff during our reception was incredible! Our brunch the morning after that was set up with them was also wonderful! Truly could not recommend a better place to have a wedding! -

Alex, Natasha, and the crew at Golden Arrow were so wonderful - we can’t recommend them enough! They were so accommodating and easy to work with. Our big day went off without a hitch! Alex helped us with the ceremony coordination and was incredibly helpful and patient. Alex even took us for a boat ride after the ceremony which was amazing! She managed to grab us some drinks and snacks - truly a godsend! Natasha helped us plan the food menu and was more than accommodating with our guest’s specific dietary requests. The food from Generations was a big hit (my favorite was the Mac and cheese)! She even helped us coordinate a night cap at Generations after 10 pm. All the staff were just so sweet. Kim at the front desk took some lovely photos of our ceremony from the balcony. And probably my favorite thing - when we got back to our room, the staff had printed out a photo of us on the boat, framed it, and put it in our room! So sweet! We can’t thank the staff at Golden Arrow enough - they’re the best! -

We can honestly not say enough great things about having our wedding at the Golden Arrow. Our original plan was not to have our wedding day at the GA but only our rehearsal dinner but with Covid restrictions we had to get a backup plan quick. Alex and her team stepped in quickly with a month turn around time to make our wedding day a reality and a dream come true. Through all the ups and downs we were faced in light of Covid and having to postpone our ceremony of due to rain and jump quickly into cocktail hour, everything was perfect! Alex, Natasha and Brandon are a great team. Alex is by far the best wedding coordinator around, she truly wants whats best for the couple and will do anything to make your day something you'll always remember. Natasha was amazing ,working one on one with us, helping plan our dinner. With all the changes we had to make we don't reject any of them, if we had the choice we would relive the day again! I would highly recommend the GA for a rehearsal dinner or wedding! Best views around, best staff, best food and best time! -

We just got back from 4 nights at Golden Arrow and also got married there! We had an amazing time w our immediate family - Alex , our wedding coordinator was super responsive, friendly and thoughtful. She was great. While the rooms are slightly worn, it looks like they are being updated - overall this would not deter us from returning - the food and staff were just excellent pair that with a beautiful backdrop and ideal location in Lake Placid and it doesn’t get much better ! -

Brides, Grooms, families, and wedding parties! You could only be so lucky to have your wedding here. My husband and I starting working with Alex, Natasha, and Brandon on our dream wedding back pre-COVID. Let me tell you, we have heard absolute horror stories of postponements, bad business, and the ugly side of COVID wedding planning. We knew we made the right decision with the GA family, but how they handled our postponement, and elopement celebration was just the icing on the cake. They were with us EVERY SINGLE STEP of the way through all of the uncertainty. All of our guests that stayed at the hotel were SO pleased and SO excited to come back and stay again come 2021. Thank you Golden Arrow for an incredible 2020 and can't wait to be back next year! -

Wouldn't have changed a thing!
Leading up to our date of arrival for the wedding Alex and Natasha did a great job communicating with us around any questions we had. We arrived to the Golden Arrow on Thursday morning and were getting married on Saturday, December 14th. Alex, Brandon, and Natasha met with us that morning to discuss some final wedding details. From that moment on, every staff member at the front desk was aware that we were the bride and groom. They helped us with all the small things like holding some bags at the front desk, providing tape, sharpies, etc. when it came to our last minute details. Alex was prompt to help us with anything we needed while we were working on set up of our space. Our "cousin Vinny" checked in on us several times and helped with anything we needed. He was so friendly to have at the resort and was willing to help us with any needs or questions we had.
What I appreciated most about Alex is that she had a clear vision on what our dream day looked like. All week the weather had called for heavy rain and we planned on having our ceremony on the top of the boathouse. Both Alex and Brandon encouraged us to not let the rain get in the way if we really wanted to be outside while saying our vows. So we did just that!
The night before the wedding a large group of ours went to Generations (connected to Golden Arrow) for welcome drinks and dinner. The staff in Generations were accommodating to our large group of 30 people.
The day of the wedding, the rain held off. If I were to sum this up in words, I would say it was absolutely perfect and we would not change one thing about it. The bridal room we used was a dream to get ready in. It was so beautiful, and perfect for a group of 13 females (or more). Alex and Brandon checked in on me throughout the morning hours, and when it came time for the ceremony Alex was right there-- Thank you! I was so happy I even said "I do" too soon!
Once the reception began Natasha was present in the evening hours. She asked us several times if we needed anything at all. To be honest I think my response each time was "I'm perfect". I couldn't think of anything because our day was everything we wanted it to be. The Four Seasons room looked stunning, the food was delicious, and our group and their dance moves were on point (thanks to Lake Placid DJ).
That night when Matt and I went to our room we found a photo of us during our ceremony, and a note from the team at Golden Arrow. What a thoughtful touch and the best gift we could have received after such a special day.
Thank you Golden Arrow for everything your whole team did to make us feel so special. Alex, Brandon, Natasha, front desk, and cousin Vinny this experience would not have been what it was without you. We will be back for our 1 year anniversary (and hopefully sooner).

Our wedding day was absolutely the most perfect and magical day thanks to Alex, Natasha and Brandon at the Golden Arrow! Alex was so awesome to work with leading up to our wedding day and honestly made the whole planning process flawless and easy! The few nights leading up to our wedding, Alex, Brandon and Natasha kept in contact with us to make sure everything was just right. Alex and Natasha’s attention to detail allowed me to enjoy every second of the day and live in the moment instead of worrying all day. Mostly, we were impressed by the little details and level of care from everyone at the resort; From the people setting up the banquet room to Natasha making sure the food was on point, and even the bartenders knowing our names! These are the simple things that blew me away and made us feel like family. We still get compliments on how good the food was (specifically how big and delicious the steaks were), and how it was one of the best weddings our friends and family have ever attended! Alex and the whole Golden Arrow experience was everything we could’ve wanted and more! We wouldn’t have done anything differently! -

Be Ready to Be Treated Like Royalty
From the moment we walked into the Golden Arrow, we were taken care of. We were staying 1 night (the night of our Rehearsal “cocktail party” that we were throwing on their Boathouse) and then using the Black Forest Room as the bridal room for the morning of the wedding. I had selected another venue before I had even met Alex at the Golden Arrow, and honestly if I had met her previously I probably would have had my wedding there. The set up they did for our Rehearsal “cocktail party” on the Boathouse was seriously magical. I had dropped off some simple decorations earlier to Alex and Brandon and they were so accommodating to use them during set up. They even let us in early to basically take over their office with all our stuff for the next day as well. They really know what they are doing and know how to treat their guests in an amazing way while doing so. They made us feel very special and any worries that we might have had completely melted away. I couldn’t believe the set up for the Rehearsal but also the next day on the morning of our wedding. The Black Forest Room space is simply gorgeous, and Brandon was in and out all day making sure we had water, utensils, etc. I would 100% recommend staying at the Golden Arrow while in LP, but also if you have any size event. They treated us like royalty and we weren’t even having our wedding there, so I can imagine how amazing they treat you at your actual wedding!! Alex was extremely responsive during the entire planning process and was able to provide guidance and solutions to any problems that came up. Go with this team for your event – you won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you Alex and Brandon!!!! -

Treated like royalty!
My expectations were exceeded at the Golden Arrow for my daughter's wedding. Alex ,Brandon and Natasha were wonderful to work with and are a great team. If I had another daughter I would not hesitate to do it again at the Golden Arrow. Any issues were taken care of immediately. No detail was overlooked. We were treated like royalty. -

When we first started getting in contact with venues in Lake Placid, I was a bit dismayed. That was until I spoke with Alex at the Golden Arrow. Not only was she friendly, organized, and communicative, but I could count on her to set expectations, follow through, and stay in touch throughout the process. Having a destination wedding, you want to work with someone you can trust, and Alex was by far the most trustworthy and reliable venue event coordinator we met. It was easy to set up times to visit and speak with her. She worked closely with us to make the wedding an event that was truly ours. She was up front with what could and couldn't be done, and she was amazing to have the day-of to coordinate with our planner and make sure everything went well. Natasha, the reception coordinator, was also absolutely amazing to work with. She kept us informed and updated throughout the process, worked well with our timeline, was flexible when we moved things around, and was there the night of to ensure everything went according to plan. The hotel was gorgeous and clean, the ceremony was BEAUTIFUL overlooking the lake, the reception was perfect, and our guests just raved about the food. I am beyond thrilled that we got married at the Arrow, and would highly, highly recommend working with them! If you want folks who are communicative, friendly, and organized, you should absolutely get married here. Plus, the location was just amazing - right on the lake and right on the main street, so our guests could visit and enjoy the town easily. I can't say enough good things about the Arrow, Alex, and Natasha. Get married here!! -

Samantha Sent on 10/13/2018I cannot say enough good things about this venue. Our entire experience from beginning to end was phenomenal. If I have to start somewhere, it's gotta be with Alex. In the beginning stages of wedding planning, I was so stressed and didn't know where to start. Once I met Alex and said yes to the venue, all my worries were gone. Myself and my family were all put at ease fast! I will forever be grateful to her and am happy to have gained a friendship from this experience. As this was a destination wedding, five hours from home, Alex was on top of everything and made it all so easy. The entire team at Golden Arrow including Brandon, Alex, and Natasha made our day truly special and the entire event went without a hitch! Everything was literally PERFECT. Our ceremony was outside with the Adirondack Mountains as our backdrop, the cocktail hour was held on top of the boathouse, and we had the reception inside the Generation Restaurant. The bridal suite is also so beautiful and we were lucky to have such a great space to get ready in! I am a huge foodie and I have to rave about the food. Everything was so yummy. Be sure to get the coconut shrimp for an hor d'oeuvre - I still cannot get over how delicious they were! Customer service truly says a lot about a business and this team deserves to be recognized. I will say it again, outstanding customer service and the staff is second to none. We will definitely be back! -

Not only was the view of the lake and mountains absolutely gorges for pictures. The resort was very updated, clean and pretty. The coordinator Alex H. was super helpful and organized from start to finish. She made me feel calm by always having a simple solution to any question or obstacle that came up. We worked great together, our organization skills complimented each other. I'm so grateful of all of her assistance throughout the entire process. Especially the day before and the day of, she had our back! -
