Highly recommend!!

I had Melissa for my hair and make-up at my wedding. She was absolutely fantastic! Securing the wedding date and trial were super easy and communication was prompt and seamless. Cost was super transparent and professional. My hair & make-up was exactly what I had imagined - she is so beyond talented! She made everyone feel comfortable and at ease getting ready - she's so nice and fun to be around. HIGHLY recommend hiring her for all hair and make-up needs!

Loved working with Georgetown Bride!

I loved working with Melissa and her team for my 2 days of wedding hair & makeup. She absolutely nailed both of my looks! I also provided clip-in hair extensions that she beautifully blended with my hair-- no one had a clue they were there! Melissa is talented, very professional, and just a warm person so it was a real pleasure working with her on my hair & makeup trial, ceremony daytime look, and my evening reception look. Gabby assisted with hair for our moms and sisters, and she was super sweet and did a wonderful job. Everyone raved about them, and I highly recommend Georgetown Bride to anyone looking for hair & makeup services!

Flawless Experience

I first emailed Kelly with Georgetown Bride less than 2 months before my engagement shoot in DC. She responded immediately, answered my questions clearly, and made it so easy for me to get the contract signed and deposit paid. As our engagement shoot got closer, we started to panic about the weather forecast. I emailed Kelly as I was leaving for the airport to fly to DC, and within an hour she had moved our 3PM start to 6AM so that I could avoid the rain. All handled before I got on the plane! She never made me feel like I was asking too much. But, of course, none of that would've been possible if my hair and makeup stylist, Sunnie, had not been so flexible. Sunnie showed up with a smile on her face at our hotel at 6AM. We chit chatted the whole way through the appointment, which made me feel so comfortable. I had never had professional hair and makeup done before, and I am someone who doesn't wear makeup on a daily basis. Sunnie totally honored my vision and made me feel GORGEOUS while still feeling myself. I was so pleased with the results, and I enjoyed the experience. Everything about my experience with Georgetown Bride was flawless! Thank you!

Exceptional in every way

Melissa and her team at Georgetown Bride absolutely blew me away. My bridesmaids and myself all have at least one makeup or hair horror story, which made me nervous when selecting a hair/makeup vendor. The artists at Georgetown Bride were not only punctual, efficient, creative, great listeners (they made sure to have a full understanding of what each person wanted from their hair and makeup looks) and immensely talented - but they made every single one of us look STUNNING! Can not recommend them more highly. Everyone should hire Georgetown Bride!!!

Flawless hair and makeup

I have no regrets hiring Georgetown Bride for my hair and makeup! Melissa did my makeup and it was flawless! I didn’t sleep much the night before and was worried that I would look tired in my wedding photos but Melissa somehow made me look completely well-rested! I’ve had makeup done before as a bridesmaid for other weddings by other makeup artists and felt that my makeup looked caked on. My makeup was somehow glamorous yet natural. Christian did my hair and it looked fantastic and stayed put the entire night. Highly recommend Georgetown Bride!

Wedding Hair & Make Up

I am SO happy I had Georgetown Bride for my wedding for both hair and makeup. Kelly was AMAZING. My make up was flawless. Even relatives I had that work in makeup said my make up could not have been any more perfect. All my bridesmaids looked natural but gorgeous, and they all felt like themselves, yet prettier. The staff that came with Kelly was excellent as well, super friendly, and very talented. Any hair style my bridesmaids asked for, they were able to do, and did it very well. Working with Melissa to coordinate everything was seamless and easy! I cannot thank Georgetown bride enough!

Georgetown Bride is a one stop shop for all your wedding beauty needs, and their experience and expertise makes the entire process go smoothly and stress-free. My main priority in picking hair and make up professionals for our wedding was quality of products and the ability to have multiple people help and come to me. Georgetown Bride was an easy choice. I had the privilege of primarily working with Kelly (make up) and Christian (Hair). For my trial, they came to my house and we immediately were chatting and having a great time together. They made me feel comfortable and excited for my wedding- I couldn’t wait to get to hang out with them again! They made it stress free and gave me a natural look that was just dolled up enough for my wedding.
For our wedding, a team of 4 people from Georgetown Bride came to my hotel room, promptly on time and immediately got set up and down to business. They had a streamlined process and knew what they were doing. They had the schedule ready to go and even knew when we were running a little ahead and gave me some more time to hang out rather than just rushing through everyone. They made us all feel comfortable and beautiful. Even the little flower girls had a wonderful time. I am definitely not someone who is accustomed to a lot of make up or anything, and I had no idea what I was really getting myself into, but they made the entire process go smoothly and made sure we were all ready on time and looking our best. They even saved time for any touch ups and did not leave until every single person was 100% happy with their hair and make up.
I know a lot of people will search for individual make up and hair artists and worry that the bigger groups can’t do as good of a job as someone who is solo, but that can’t be further from the truth. Every professional with Georgetown Bride is EXCELLENT- and multitalented! One of the designated make up artists actually took on someone hair at one point and it looked fabulous. We got endless compliments on our hair and make up all night - not a single hair was out of place, and even after my now husband slammed cake into my face at the reception, even my makeup looked totally untouched. I couldn’t have been more impressed with them and their skills. We highly recommend them, especially for big groups!

Stunning Hair/Make Up

I had 11 people get hair and make up done (including myself) and we all looked amazing! Our hair/make up looked natural but elegant for our black tie wedding. The staff listens well to what you want, will adjust as needed, and was really fun to work with. I would definitely recommend them!

Melissa and her team are absolutely AMAZING!!! They are extremely professional and talented and brought to life everyone's vision of what they wanted their hair & make-up to look like. Melissa did my hair & make-up for both the trial and day-of and it was absolutely perfect each time. As a wedding planner for almost 20years in Washington DC, I have always kept my eyes out for the best talent, service and fits for my clients. Melissa is so responsive and easy to work with for my clients and as a client. I chose Melissa for my own wedding day hair and make up and felt so special and like my prettiest possible self. Melissa and her team made me and my entire bridal party feel absolutely beautiful! They did a wonderful job with hair and makeup styles that were classic, elegant and would last all day in the cold D.C. weather. They were also a complete joy to have with us in the bridal suite as we got ready for the big day. My mom, sisters and I just loved them. My first experience with Georgetown Bride was during my sister's wedding. The team came all the way out to Taneytown, MD and did a great job with bridal party's hair and makeup. I don't like a lot of makeup, so I was particularly pleased with how they worked with me and ultimately made me feel beautiful and still myself. Since this experience was so positive, I decided to hire the team for my own wedding later that year. Definitely recommend Georgetown Bride to other brides out there.

Melissa and her wonderful assistant did an amazing job with hair & make-up for my daughter's wedding. My daughter looked stunning and her hair and make-up held up even after a passing rain shower. It was a very busy bridal suite that morning, with 8 bridesmaids, mothers, and grandmother and they kept us all in schedule and seem to bring a sense of calm with them, which set the tone for the day!

Melissa Schwartz Jones is AMAZING! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day thanks to Melissa. She is truly an expert at what she does. If I ever have another occasion that I need my hair and make-up done, I will not hesitate to call her. She was worth every penny.

Melissa is super easy to work with, down to earth, and a master at what she does. Her assistant, Christian (not sure if I am spelling that right) was also awesome. Christian did my Mother, sister, and Groom's hair. Melissa did my and my mother's make-up. The weather on the day of our wedding was very foggy and humid but everyone's hair and make-up stayed looking great through the whole day thanks to the expertise of these two ladies.

If you are looking for a hair and make-up artist Georgetown Bride is where your search should end. Melissa and her team are wonderful!

Melissa was the best vendor I worked with while planning my wedding! I appreciated how responsive she was via email. I felt like I didn't have to worry about her attention to detail at all. She did my hair and make-up for both my engagement photos and wedding photos. I loved loved loved how I looked in both. For the wedding, I showed her a picture of hair that I like and she replicated it to the tee. I highly recommend working with Georgetown Bride. Melissa did my hair and makeup for my wedding last Saturday and she is amazing!! I wasn't sure exactly what look I wanted and we ended up doing 2 trials to nail down the look prior to the big day. Melissa and her team were wonderful! I had a trial with another artist before finding Melissa, and left the prior trial thinking that the brides in the photos online were just prettier than I am or more photogenic. When I left my trial with Melissa, I felt like a bride in a magazine! My makeup looked very natural, but amazing. And I had no idea what to do with my very fine hair since my prior trial made my hair look flat and lifeless. Melissa created a beautiful style with very little direction from me. My hair and makeup looked incredible on the day of my wedding and held up very well in the weather. The day was misty/foggy, and we took numerous pictures outside before the ceremony, which we moved indoors. My hair and makeup looked great throughout!

The rest of her team was great too, and all my bridesmaids looked gorgeous.

Melissa is a dream to work with, and I would highly recommend her!! We had a large group (the bride, 7 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls, and two grandmas) and Melissa came and brought four other makeup artists. Everyone - seriously! - everyone commented how beautiful the bride and bridesmaids looked!

Weeks after my wedding, my bridesmaids and family are still raving about Melissa and her team at Georgetown Bride! They were wonderful and very easy to work with. The trial I had with Melissa was so easy and she knew exactly what I wanted. I let my bridesmaids pick how they wanted their hair and make up and each one looked beautiful. The make up wasn't overdone and it highlighted my beautiful bridesmaids' features. It took less than 3 hours for the Georgetown bride team to do 3 flower girls, 3 junior bridesmaids, 5 bridesmaids, 1 bride, and they even kindly did my 92-year old grandmother's hair and make up. I loved how I still looked like me on my wedding day and the make up stayed on the entire time (which in humid DC in June is hard to do!).

The team of talented artists at Georgetown Bride were more then I could have hoped for. I have never felt more beautiful in my life; I looked polished and fresh but most importantly still like myself, just a more perfect and surprisingly photogenic version of myself and it lasted the whole night! There were many last minute changes on our big day including the location where we were getting ready, but the team was incredibly accommodating and everything went off without a hitch. They arrived right on time with an impressive and expansive collection of products and tools, our hotel room was suddenly as glamorous as the back stage of a fashion show, my bridesmaids felt like supermodels, it was so much fun. Christian styled the most adorable braided crown updo for my flower girl, everyone said she looked like an angel, and when Jasmine finished my grandmother's makeup, she was brought nearly to tears after seeing herself in the mirror, she said she hadn't felt that pretty since she was a girl, all the feels. Melissa was a joy to work with through every step of the process, coordination was a breeze (so refreshing, especially compared to some of my other vendors) and she always got back to me super fast even though I had one million questions and two million changes. I really just can't reccomend Georgetown Bride enough, if I could award more than 5 stars I would.

Melissa did the make up for me and my girls on the day of my wedding and needless to say everyone turned out gorgeous!! Melissa's personality will help you relax and take your nerves away. I was so impressed that I wish she would become my neighbor so she could do my make up everyday!!

Y'all - Melissa is the BOMB.COM. And Melissa, thank you times a million for making me look like such a rockstar!

I'm a huge procrastinator, and put myself in a position (this is back in March) where I was searching for someone to do both my hair and makeup on a Friday afternoon for a charity event I had on the following Saturday evening. I was looking on WeddingWire and found maybe 2 or 3 people that I wanted to contact. First things first, I was immediately struck by how immediately responsive Melissa was!! I never even heard back from one of the other stylists, and the other one emailed me the following morning. Melissa called me back directly, which I was so impressed by, given how busy I know she is. It really made me feel like a priority and it was much appreciated.

Secondly, she was more than willing to carve out the time to travel to my tiny little apartment (I've since moved, thank goodness) and was very gracious when one of my roommates unexpectedly showed up during my styling session and was being, quite frankly, very annoying/rude and inappropriate.

She quickly became a friend in the two hours that I spent with her, and of course, she made me look so beautiful!! Trusting her expertise, I gave her an outline of what I would be wearing that evening, and let her do her thing. The makeup and hair went perfectly with my attire, and my expectations were absolutely surpassed!

Thank you Melissa, for being such a trooper, being so kind, and being so EXCEPTIONAL at what you do!

Melissa did my hair and makeup for my local engagement session. She was absolutely amazing! She was professional and courteous when I spoke to her before hand and encouraged me to send me pictures of what I wanted. On the day of, she arrived on time and was a great sport when I asked if she could work around me wanting to watch the football game that was on! She was even patient with my kind of crazy dog. Melissa delivered perfect hair and makeup that was exactly what I wanted. I felt so incredibly beautiful and confident. I am having a destination wedding or I would 100% book Melissa for my wedding. Melissa, the owner of Georgetown Bride, and her incredible team - the strong friendship and love shared with her team is so obvious -just did hair and make up for our daughter's wedding and for her wedding party. My daughter had a formal wedding followed by a masquerade ball.
Melissa is the ultimate professional - flexible and artistic. She is so warm and friendly! We were very happy with her during the very important "trial" in our home and she took our requests and preferences to heart. Never rushed us.
My strong advice is to book her early, and be persistent in reaching her. She is very much in demand and has extraordinary, prominent clients. We were so fortunate we found her! She was a very important part of our wedding day and was instrumental in creating a calm environment during the wedding day preparations. We all fell in love with her.

Georgetown Bride is amazing! My 4 bridesmaids and I all got out hair and makeup done by Melissa and her team. She made us all look and feel so beautiful. Everyone was a joy to work with. Melissa is a true professional and artist. She has experience doing the hair and makeup of local news anchors. For what you get with Georgetown Bride, which is a very talented staff that will no doubt do a wonderful job, their prices are very reasonable. I felt like a princess on my wedding day because of Georgetown Bride. They are the best!!!

Melissa from Georgetown Bride practically saved me on my wedding day. Not only was she professional and responsive from my very first email to her, reasonably priced, accommodating to my schedule for both the trial and day-of-session, patient with my indecision (she spent 2 hours with me at my house for trial run), and punctual -she listened and delivered (which is something money cannot buy). I am extremely happy with her make up expertise but even more grateful for the way she calmed me down and gave me the confidence right before it was time to walk down the isle. People I was practically having a panic attack and she talked me off the ledge. 30 min before my "showtime" I somehow ended up alone (my 8 year old daughter was the only person in my wedding party and my family was waiting for me to take pictures), couldn't get to my venue without being seen by my guests and hadn't let my DJ know what ceremonial songs I needed played during the reception. Through out my year of wedding planning I had an "I can take care of my self" attitude and never planned for delegating last min craziness. I felt so alone and she wiped my tears, fixed my smudged make up and assured me that it would all be ok. She went above and beyond the job of a make up artist and made me feel like she was my confidant and friend. That to me meant more than her just making me look beautiful. She made me FEEL like beautiful strong woman on the inside, in a panicked moment where no bride ever wants to be. People like Melissa who have a passion/skill for what they do AND are genuinely good people are hard to come by.

Melissa Schwartz Jones made my wedding day beautiful by making me beautiful.

She was able to fully understand and execute a picture perfect look for me and my family with little direction and lots of laughs. The amazing thing was from noon to 3am the next night my hair and make-up stood the test of time. I looked just as good heading to bed as I did heading down the isle. Melissa and her team were great. Everyone's make up looked great, it lasted, it was natural but the best version of each of the ladies in my wedding. HIGHLY recommend. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Melissa. She did hair and make-up for my mom and I earlier this month, and we could not be happier. I knew I made the right choice when she came to my house to do a trial session. I only had to show her two pictures, and she knew exactly how I wanted to look on the day of my wedding. She spent so much time with me at the trial, making sure I felt comfortable. I was completely at ease on my wedding day, and my mom and I loved the way everything turned out. My make-up and hair stayed all night, and I received so many compliments.

There are so many moving parts and vendors to book during a wedding. Booking Melissa was by far the best decision I made in the planning process. She is amazing!

Melissa did a wonderful job with my hair and make-up at my wedding. I'm lucky that I found her after only one other trial with another vendor. When my venue changed, she suggested that I get darker eye makeup. I was worried at first, but she was right. I received a lot of compliments on the outcome! Another thing I really like about Melissa is that she's really calm and relaxed, which totally helped me when we were getting ready at the hotel, where everything gets a bit chaotic. Her demeanor helped me calm my nerves, especially when I was being photographed and filmed.

Melissa is an exceptional artist. I contracted her for my whole wedding party, along with my mom and her sister. She did both my hair and makeup.

After the first trial, I was still unsure of what I wanted, so she came back to my house and we did another trial. We discovered the bohemian look I was going for during trial 2, and I am positive she would have come back again if I needed another trial. She went out of her way to make sure I was happy and confident about my look, long before the wedding day. She was such a friend to me throughout the process.

Whatever style you are going for, she can do it for you, and she approaches the challenge with a smile and a whole lot of patience for us finicky brides. Thank you Melissa!

Melissa and her team were fantastic!

I had originally booked a salon (with great Google reviews) that was two blocks away from the hotel where the wedding took place. I went in with my sister for a trial hair and makeup run, and we left the salon very disappointed. The makeup did not match our skin tones, and it did not look very natural or what the picture I brought in as a sample.

After some internet searching, I came upon Georgetown Bride. I called Melissa and explained that I needed someone short notice, and she was very flexible. She came to my house for trial hair and makeup. We played around with different hairstyles for a while. We also worked on the makeup. Melissa was very patient, which I appreciated after my last experience. At the end of the trial, I confidently booked Melissa for the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, Melissa came with a teammate, who was also super nice. They did everyone's hair and makeup. Some girls came in with pictures of what they wanted, and others just said to do whatever with their hair. Melissa made everyone look great. I changed my hairstyle last minute, and still Melissa was flexible and patient. The makeup look soft and natural, which was important to my mother, but it was dark enough to be visible in photos from a distance.

I cannot say enough good things about Georgetown Bride! Melissa is phenomenal.

Be SURE you use Melissa and Georgetown Bride for your wedding! I did multiple trials before finding her and I'm so glad I kept trying and found her through our wedding planners suggestion. Melissa came to our house and did a trial for my hair and makeup and it was EXACTLY the way I expressed what I wanted to her, actually, it was even better than I pictured. She came back and did a trial for my mom as well as for our engagement photoshoot. My hair and makeup lasted throughout my ENTIRE wedding day and didn't even have to do any touchups throughout the evening. My hair even lasted through the next morning where I took the pins out but my hair was STILL curly. I had an outdoor wedding and I don't know how Melissa and her team did it, but all of my bridesmaids hair stayed curled throughout the entire day and they almost all wore it down. I am still in shock about how great they did because all of the girls reported their hair NEVER holds a curl but Melissa and her team found a way! Melissa was nothing but a joy to work with, was understanding of all situations, came to my house at 8pm when I was working 10+ hour days and had no other time to do the trial, the list just goes on and on. She is super pleasant to work with, fixed and tried anything I wanted to have done and is even going to come back to help my mom work on her everyday hair and makeup styling! I have never seen my mom excited about her hair and makeup but thanks to Melissa's help and skills, my mom is excited about it now! Thank you Melissa for your amazing work and for making my wedding day look better than I ever dreamt it could be! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. Melissa and her Georgetown Bride team did hair and makeup for our wedding on May 10th, in Alexandria, VA - for all the bridesmaids, myself, and my mom. Melissa and her team did a fantastic job - everyone loved their work, and we all received so many compliments.

I was also planning the wedding from Vietnam, so it was more difficult for us to communicate. Melissa was always flexible and patient about communication delays in general, which I really appreciated. She's a pleasure to work with, very easy-going and adaptable to meet your needs. Melissa came highly recommended, but I am cynical and always want to judge for myself. My wedding was cross cultural, and my family is traditional Hindu. Melissa was able to do my hair and make up to a tee- perfectly, for a South Indian bride then switch the reception look to something more modern and playful, with a very fast turn around. She was a calming presence for a nervous bride, and even with demanding and loud family hovering at every moment, Melissa made me feel pampered, and like I was in a little oasis of my own. We had a couple of consultations, and remembered what I suggested better than I did when it came time to execute on the day of the wedding. I'm not typically appearance concious, and don't spend a lot of time on my hair and make up, but I did not feel overly painted or prodded. My hairstyle held up all night, and was still soft. My make up was pretty, and suited the occasion, but my tomboy self was still recognizable. Melissa is not only a make up artist, but she may have missed her calling as a therapist!

Melissa did my makeup for an Inaugural Ball, and she did a beautiful job. I truly felt like a princess. I am not the type of person to hire someone to do my makeup but Melissa was worth every penny! She was able to to do my makeup and my bridesmaids makeup in about two and a half hours. When I finally saw what my face looked like after she was finished I couldn't believe it.I have always had blemishes and she was able to make my skin look flawless and my eye makeup was amazing! I described what look I was going for which was a smokey eye and nude lips and she did my make up exactly the way I had envisioned it in my head! I was so pleased with everything and she kept touching up our makeup when needed. Everyone was impressed and my maid of honor who is getting married next year has also decided to use Melissa. Melissa was excellent. As a fellow makeup artist we are the pickiest about our makeup and Melissa made me look beautiful.. She kept my makeup very natural looking but she accentuated all the right places on my face. All of my brides maids loved their face too. I love her work.

Also I looked gorgeous through out the entire night. Pictures of me getting into the limo as I left looked just as good as the pictures of me when the day began. She was also so accommodating and friendly.. We all loved being around her and her assistant - Melanie. She even stayed longer to make sure she could finish us all even though it made her a little late for another appointment. True 5 star service and treatment!!

Exceptional

Kelly and her team were a dream to work with. I had spoken to a handful of other hair and makeup vendors prior to contacting Georgetown Bride, but as soon as Kelly called me for our initial consultation, I knew she was the one we needed to book. She was so easy to work with and was incredibly understanding and supportive throughout the minor snags we had in the planning process. I had a small wedding party (3 ladies total including myself), but the team at Georgetown Bride was accommodating and never put us on the back burner despite our small group. Our artist Andrea was so fun - I had my trial about 4 months prior to my wedding, at which time Andrea took lots of photos and made notes about my final choices. It was like we had known each other for years, she was a blast to work with. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on the day of my wedding, all thanks to their wonderful team.

[From Anthony's wife - Wendy] Georgetown Bride did hair and makeup for myself, my three bridesmaids, and my mother on my wedding day. I wanted a soft-glam/romantic look that Audrey and Stephanie were able to execute PERFECTLY! I have never felt so beautiful and it was exactly what I wanted for my wedding day.

They also did amazing work on my bridesmaids and mother, working from their inspiration photos and making them look incredible as well. All day they made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun with them!

We hired Georgetown Bride to do my hair and make-up (bride) and the hair and make-up of my bridesmaids on 10/13/19 Carley (make-up) and Sarah (hair) were DIVINE to work with! They were prompt, organized, responsive to our wishes, and all-around delightful. Sarah really worked with me to understand my very specific hair wishes/design. Melissa and her team of ladies provided hair and make-up for me, my mother and my 10 bridesmaids on wedding day. Yep! You heard that right! Melissa did my wedding hair and makeup, as well as the hair and makeup for my one bridesmaid. After my initial trial, she was very accommodating as I kept going back and forth about the hairstyle. Ultimately, I ended up with something different from what we had done at the trial and she did an amazing job. Throughout the whole process she was very patient and flexible. She never tried to push anything on me, rather she really wanted to make sure that I was 100 % comfortable and happy with the look. I used Georgetown Bride for my wedding on August 29th 2015. I had actually worked with Georgetown Bride/Melissa during another wedding I was in as a MOH in 2014. I loved the way my makeup turned out during that wedding, so for me, it was an obvious choice to book Georgetown Bride for my own wedding. Melissa was a pleasure to work with- during the trial, she asked questions about my normal make up routine and how I wanted to look on my wedding day. She was open to my opinion and nailed exactly how I wanted to look on the day of my wedding.

The morning of the wedding, Melissa and her team (there were three hair and make up people total for 6 bridesmaids hair and make up, 2 mothers hair and make up, and my make up) arrived on time and were able to execute on the bridal party's desired hair and make up preferences. All the ladies loved the way their hair and make up turned out. As a wedding gift, one of my bridesmaids (who does hair for a living) did my hair, but Melissa did my make up. I was THRILLED with how it turned out! It was exactly how I wanted to look on my wedding day- I still looked like me, but a more polished version.

I highly recommend Georgetown Bride for hair and make up! Melissa was wonderful to work with and really made me feel beautiful on my "big day"!

Melissa did not end up doing my make up for my wedding due to another contract she had with a tv show, however, she found two ladies to complete my hair and make up for the big day. Melissa was flexible and provided me with a free trial by each of the ladies after I had completed my initial trial with Melissa. Melissa was accommodating and knock a small amount of since I had hired herself and she could not be present on the day. Melanie did the hair for myself and 6 others. Melaine was fantastic. She was fun and engaging and did an excellent and professional job. Jasmine did my make up, which was honestly perfect. Everyone complemented it and said it wasn't too much but it looked nice. I was very happy working with Melanie and Jasmine! Melissa did an excellent job finding professionals to come in on my day of. Both of them were on time, professional, and flexible!

The trial that I had with Melissa was great - she took the time to get to know me and my style and helped me achieve the look I wanted (my brows have never looked so good!), and created a hairstyle that was both great pinned up and looked awesome when the pins were all out.
On our wedding day Melissa and her team came to my hotel room and were totally flexible about where to set up and had everything on hand that they needed. My bridal party consisted of women ranging from 35-75 (including our moms!) and the women all came out looking sophisticated and still entirely like themselves. My 2 nieces also got their hair done (3.5 and 5) and it looked so sweet! I was even happier with how my look came together on the wedding day than on my trial day. There is no question that professional hair and makeup comes with a price tag, but Georgetown Bride made it totally money very well spent.

Melissa wasn't available for my elopement, so I got to work with the lovely Demi Valentine instead. I very much enjoyed working with her. She was so flexible and up to the challenge of working with a client who had very specific allergy (gluten & soy free) needs. She also styled my natural hair for me. It was gorgeous and I was so happy I made the choice to stay natural instead of using a hair piece. Finally, it was my first experience with eyelash extensions... Demi can certainly bring the drama, my eyes looked amazing. Definitely recommended.

Melissa and Georgetown bride are lovely to work with. I had six bridesmaids and she brought in the calvary of stylists to make us all up for the big day. My make up was STILL perfect the day after, even after sweating all day outside (DC in August), crying through speeches and dancing the evening away. She is a little hard to get ahold of for questions before hand, but she is well worth it! Highly recommended.

I worked with Melissa for a trial and bridal hair. She did a wonderful job with my hair on both occasions, and I was very happy with my look the day of our wedding. I had a hard time finding a stylist who would come to me on the wedding day, as we had a very small wedding with no bridal party and it was just me having my hair done. Melissa had no problem coming to me for both the trial and day of styling. This does make the service a bit more expensive, but it's still far less than other stylists who set very high minimums to come to you. My only complaint would be that she is very in demand, which means she was not always as responsive as I would have liked. That said, she showed up on time day of, as agreed, and I would work with her again for future styling needs.

Unreliable

I have tried to contact Melissa multiple times over the past few months and she takes forever to respond or just doesn’t bother to respond. The last time I called her was about two months ago because I was tired of the disconnected communication via email AND weddingwire. Ending the conversation she said she would call me back in a couple of days to tell me who would be available on my day. That was the last I heard from her. I guess her business doesn’t want my money. I’m happy I’m going with someone more professional that has open communication.
