I was visiting Cincinnati in January 2026 when my now wife said she had been to Genesis Diamonds, liked them, and wanted to take me there so we could look at engagement rings together. I was wary of going to a jewelry store away from my hometown and where I knew no one who worked there. Despite this, please take away from this review that buying the engagement ring there was a great experience!
I worked with Devir and Shachar.
Shachar coordinated with me when I was living eight hours away from their store by sending band and diamond pictures to me, informing me of what my future fiancé liked on a follow-up visit there without me, and updating me on the custom design’s progress.
Devir also stayed in touch with me while I was not in Memphis also. When I was in Cincinnati, he was very educational the day I came to pay my deposit. He presented three marquise-cut diamonds (including the one I wanted to buy) and asked me which one I thought was the best value. I picked the “correct” one which was not the one I was going to buy and was more expensive. I decided to stay with the one I knew my then future fiancé already approved (thanks to Shachar and Devir telling me!). He did not try to upsell me at all, which I appreciated greatly.
The day I picked up the ring was hassle-free. There were a few documents to sign, appraisals and authentications generate/organize, and final payment to be made. I did not finance the ring, so that may have eased the paperwork.
Shachar recommended a reasonable, well-rated jewelry insurance company that day as well. I was able to get all information filled out for the insurance on my phone while she processed everything else.
We enjoyed working with Genesis so much we eventually bought my wife’s wedding band from the Nashville branch after we moved closer to that city. -

I don’t usually write reviews, but Genesis Diamonds in Cincinnati truly deserves it.
From the moment I walked in, my wife and I felt welcomed and taken seriously. I was looking to source a specific Rolex watch, and instead of giving me generic answers or pushing something “close enough,” the team and Devir actually listened. They took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, kept me updated throughout the process, and delivered exactly what they promised.
The transparency, communication, and professionalism were on another level.
At the same time, we were also shopping for jewelry for my wife. The staff was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and never pushy. They helped us compare options, explained everything clearly, and made sure we felt 100% confident in our decision. My wife absolutely loves her pieces and that’s what matters most. -

I cannot tell you how amazing our experience was with Tara. I showed her this custom ring I had found somewhere on the internet and told her I wanted something similar. The FIRST ring she picked out was it. She nailed it!! I am so in love with this ring it was exactly what I wanted and what I explained to her. Tara was so patient with me and I really felt like she actually cared and was so enthusiastic. It made the entire experience for my fiancé and I so amazing. She has even taken the time to personally follow up with me to make sure the fit is perfect and I am more than happy with it. -

My fiancee and I both have baby faces despite being in our mid-20s. We went to 5 different jewelry stores in one day when we went ring shopping and no one took us seriously, and a few were even insulting. I suggested that we make one last stop at Genesis. We are both so glad that I did! Everything was excellent from the moment we walked in the door. They weren't pushy, they treated us with respect, had an excellent selection, and overall turned a really frustrating experience into a great one. I can't say enough nice things about them. They have my business for life! My only suggestion is, maybe a few less radio commercials please? -

One month of quarantine wear
ONE MONTH OF QUARATINE WEAR CHANGING DIAPERS ON MY 6 MONTH OLD CHILD. That's what I got out of our $4000 purchase. My fiancé and I went in to tell staff about their obviously faulty jewelry and we got Robert, a salesmen, tell me I'm a liar and that there is nothing he can do for us. When we said we'd like to return our wedding bands that have never been taken out of the bag since they are forcing us to pay off a diamond that was poorly set and exists no longer for the next 5 years, he laughed in our face and told us to get out of the store. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE. It's not worth them stealing your happiness. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. -
