Gather Together helped us make a beautiful wedding for our daughter and son-in-law. They had great design ideas and creative input. The place settings and flowers were gorgeous. We also had a lot of unique ideas and GT helped make them happen. Throughout the process they were available and fun to work with. Many of our guests said it was one of the nicest weddings they had attended. People noticed how happy and relaxed we were and for that we are so grateful to Chelsey, Janet and Samantha.

Chelsey, Janet & Samantha are the most amazing team! They planned my dream wedding at River Forest Manor and made every detail come together so beautifully. Katherine was an amazing asset for our wedding, and was also just a great person to talk to and have on your team. I was skeptical about hiring a day-of coordinator, thinking my family and I could handle whatever we needed to, but man was I wrong. Within minutes of our initial meeting, I was so thankful that we had chosen Gather Together to help make our wedding happen. Katherine's calm, down-to-business demeanor and impressive level of organization immediately reassured me (and my mom, who was with me) of our decision to hire a coordinator. Communicating with Katherine was a breeze, her to-do lists made planning a wedding simple and straightforward affair, and her and Pankti's help were absolutely indispensable the day of the wedding. I knew I could trust them to make sure everything ran smoothly- and it did. I cannot recommend Katherine enough!

Holy ****! Where do I even start?! I had the BUSIEST year of my life in 2016. I got engaged AND got married all in one year, which is "fast" nowadays. I am NOT a wedding planning kind of gal and had NO idea what I wanted. Chelsey and the Gather Together team were the absolutely PERFECT dream team to go to. Chelsey takes your interests, likes, needs and wants in order to form the PERFECT day. She let's you be as involved or uninvolved as you choose. Since I had such a hectic, schedule, I put all my faith in her hands. She did NOT let me down. Literally every single person who reflected on my wedding said it was THE most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Chelsey plans everything down to the smallest detail that I did not even notice until someone pointed those little things out to me. My wedding day ran SO smoothly and I did not have to worry about a single THING during the entire planning process and on my big day. I could go on FOREVER about Chelsey and the Gather Together team. Just pick up the phone and call them. I am in NY and my daughter in NC so we were planning a long distance wedding. Once you speak to Katherine or Chelsea you will immediately know that Gather Together is not only the right choice, but the only choice. We worked with Katherine who was amazing! Friendly, professional, informative, knowledgable, caring...I could go on forever. She attended to every detail, kept everyone in the loop, was always accessible and made sure everything went smoothly. She shared her expertise, ideas and recommended only the best of vendors. After much debate on whether to hire a wedding coordinator, I decided to go with Gather Together and chose their full service package. I am so glad that I did. Katherine and her team made every detail of my wedding vision possible and I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding (my family didn't either). In addition to that, Katherine was a joy to work with. I would highly recommend Gather Together for any wedding, small or large.

We would have been no where without Katherine and the Gather Together team. My husband was skeptical at first but is now convinced this was the wisest purchase we made for the wedding. Katherine is beyond fantastic. She really listened and guided us through the wedding process. Honestly, we'll miss our regular calls! I called Katherine hoping to plan my wedding in two months. :) She immediately said no problem. We planned an outdoor ceremony and a reception at the whiskey where my husband and I met. Katherine was incredible. She made everything so easy and a short notice wedding could have definitely been very stressful! She ran with my vision and had great ideas about how to make everything a reality. She knows all the right vendors from lighting to cakes. We transformed the whiskey bar into a magical wedding venue (which ended up being my ceremony site because of rain) filled with lights, flowers, candles, and a sea creature themed wedding cake. She also found a new ceremony band three days before the wedding when our original band choice wasn't working out. She is honestly amazing and I highly highly recommend using Gather Together for your wedding planning!!

Booking Gather Together was the best decision I made for wedding planning. I enjoyed working with Katherine so much. She is a true professional. Extremely kind and caring yet firm and organized. Working with Katherine is the reason I enjoyed wedding planning. It is so stressful dealing with family issues, working full-time and other obligations that wedding planning can feel very overwhelming. Katherine did such a great job breaking everything up into small manageable pieces for planning. Even if I missed a deadline she was never judgmental or frazzled.

The day-off is when the Gather Together team really shined. I got so many compliments from my guests and vendors about how great they were to work with that day. I had the best wedding day. It was so calm, relaxing and filled with joy. I know I owe a huge part of that to Katherine and Gather Together. Book them now!

Katherine Brown is every mother-of-the-bride's dream. I thought that I could do it alone, but after spending 30 minutes with her, I knew her services would be the best money spent on the entire wedding day. Her professionalism was impeccable. She is well versed in wedding etiquette and developed a timeline to keep everyone on schedule. My daughter, Erin and I spent plenty of time prior to the wedding with Katherine, answering questions and thinking about the small details that really made the difference in Erin's special day. She was there with us from the planning, the rehearsal, and the wedding. She helped with catering, florals, rentals, music, transportation, the wedding cake, well, EVERYTHING! I could look at Katherine and she knew my every need. I was able to sit back and enjoy the day with family and friends thanks to Katherine. It was the perfect day because of Katherine Brown!

I'm so deeply grateful for the girls of Gather Together. Chelsey is amazing!! We used Gather Together for day of coordination. The first thing my Mom said to me the day after our wedding was how Chelsey was the best decision we made in the process and I agree!

She was patient, organized, thoughtful and just all around incredible! Leading up to the day she made great suggestions, helped us with any questions that came up and made me feel like I was in great hands.

The day of she solved so many problems that I never even knew existed. I was blissfully unaware of anything that came up and I'm so glad she was there to handle it all. She was incredibly organized, and was especially patient with me when I wasn't so organized.

Chelsey is very down to earth and personable, yet very professional. Highly recommend her to anyone!

Chelsey and the other girls from Gather Together Events did such a GREAT job on my wedding. They made my wedding look exactly as I wanted and even came up with ideas I would never have thought could work for my budget. Chelsey and her girls took care of all the logistics on the day of so that I could just enjoy my wedding. I would recommend this company to anyone. At first I did not think I would need a wedding planner but everything that Chelsey did made her well worth every penny!

I LOVED having Chelsey as my planner, she was amazing. I am a hard critic too because I actually work in the wedding industry in NYC. My wedding was back home in NC and I found Chelsey through a wedding blog resource. Chelsey was on top of everything, had great ideas but wasn't too pushy, handled the budget well, and was just fun to be around!

I used her for partial planning before the wedding and then for day of as well. I didn't interact with her (or her associate Katherine) a ton on the day of because I was having too much fun enjoying the wedding, but a lot of the reason I could do that was because I knew she was on top of everything! We had about 150 guests at my wedding and it turned out that the weather got really cold the week before my fall wedding so we had to move the ceremony into our tent, it was stressful but Chelsey made sure it all looked wonderful still and it turned out amazing.

Many of my friends commented that she was so helpful and not stressed at all during the day. My parents and especially my father in law who is hard to please were very impressed at how well run everything was the day of the wedding.

Less than 24 hours after getting engaged, I began brainstorming about our wedding. In only a week, we had set a date and began making appointments to look at venues. I think of myself as a hard working and organized person, and I was determined to plan the bulk of the wedding myself. We had a tight budget and both my fiance and parents were wary of spending the money to hire a coordinator.
We chose a beautiful farm venue and began hiring vendors, but quickly came across several issues (budget, timing.etc). I met with four different planners, but still I felt guilty spending the money.

As the wedding neared, issues began to arise left and right; we couldn't afford rentals, vendors that we had booked were unresponsive, etc. With 4 months left, I decided that I would re-connect with one of the wedding planners. Chelsey was the first to come to mind. Of the four local planners I met with, she was the most down to earth. I felt comfortable around her, like I was meeting with a friend rather than having a business meeting.

After many tears and anxiety-provoking conversations with vendors, my fiance agreed to split the cost of hiring Chelsey as our weekend coordinator. We were immediately relieved after our first meeting with her. She was organized and punctual, yet she kept us laughing throughout.

On the weekend of our wedding, we had several unanticipated hitches in the plan. It poured down rain that Friday, so everything was set back- family arriving late, rental company behind, etc. In addition to that, all of the labels on our boxes of items had come off or were wet.
Chelsey arrived (early) with a smile, and helped calm my nerves. She immediately set to work ordering side walls for our tent, modifying the schedule, and informing everyone involved. She went above and beyond to help with details and decor (things we hadn't even discussed). By the end of the day, EVERYONE was convinced that hiring Chelsey was a great decision!

Chelsey, I am so thankful to you for helping to make our wedding reception more amazing, relaxed, and beautiful than I could have ever imagined!

I think we were somewhat unique clients in that my mom and I have specific tastes; we know what we like and don’t like. Yet, throughout the design process I felt like you listened our “vision” and had wonderful contributions to the design details and added finishing touches that made our reception flow better, more comfortable for our guests, and more beautiful. I believe these elements really helped the reception exceed our expectations!

Several people at our reception came up to me and told me I was one of the most relaxed brides they had ever seen, and I think that it a testament to how great you and your staff (along with the MW House) are at what you do! Throughout our wedding weekend, I felt like all I had to do is show up and enjoy my time with Doug and our guests, and I didn’t worry about vendors, set-up, our timeline, or unexpected glitches, etc. because I knew we were in great hands, and you would address anything that came up.

When I got engaged, Gather Together was the first vendor I hired for my May 10 wedding in Wilmington, NC. I had not only the privilege of knowing firsthand how flawless Chelsey's wedding planning is, but also the honor that Chelsey agreed to be a bridesmaid in the same wedding she was helping me execute. While this could have been troublesome for some friendships, Chelsey's professionalism never got in the way of helping me plan a wedding. From our first meeting, Chelsey was an incredible help in coming up with a budget (don't try to do this alone if you have a budget!) and has brilliant ideas about how to save as much as you possibly can without sacrificing design. Chelsey was incredibly responsive and was such a great resource the entire way for all of the little questions I had ("Who do I need to tip and how much?" "Does my dad need to wear the same suit as the groomsmen?" "What kind of veil looks good with my dress?" "What kind of ceremony script should we use?", etc.) The week before the wedding, Chelsey was so organized and literally had to force me to hand over the reins to her and her team to take over from there, and I'm so glad I did. I didn't have to worry about a thing the week of the wedding, and I had no vendors calling me with questions. I might have been the most stressfree bride on the planet and much of it was because Chelsey's planning left no room for worry. Most importantly, and something I admit I was worried about, was that a few days before the wedding Chelsey had to let her team (Mariah and Sam) take over so that she could have fun as a bridesmaid. But due to Chelsey's organization and their prior experience with Gather Together, they were so well prepared and executed brilliantly. I can literally say I had the perfect wedding and nothing went wrong. Please do not underestimate how much a wedding planner can help you- I couldn't have done it without Gather Together, even if I am slightly biased since Chelsey is a great friend!

We were all so very pleased with the UNC graduation party! I have had lots of compliments and exclamations on how it was so beautiful and unexpected !! Chelsey at Gather Together created the most beautiful wedding day for our daughter. Everything from the caterer to the florist, from the band to the rentals was choreographed perfectly by Chelsey and the entire day went off without a hitch! The ceremony was intimate and the reception was beautiful and lively, everybody danced into the late night. We were able to celebrate with our friends and family without a single worry and we had a wonderful day with our daughter! We have received several texts and emails from so many people that attended saying our wedding was one of the most fun and beautiful weddings they had attended in a long time! We are so grateful to Chelsey and Gather Together, she created the wedding we had always wanted for our daughter and memories that we will cherish forever. Choosing Chelsey to be our wedding planner was the single best decision we made in the wedding planning process!

In the beginning, it hadn't really even crossed my mind to hire a professional to plan our wedding. I consider myself an organized and detail-oriented person and was really looking forward to planning our wedding myself. I had already begun the process of booking vendors and compiling a guest list. Our wedding was going to be outdoors on a farm so we were going to literally be hauling in everything needed for a party (tent, chairs, food, etc). It began to be overwhelming for me to think about how I could make sure everything would go smoothly outside in the tent and at the ceremony site all while trying to relax and get ready myself on the day of the wedding. Our rental vendor suggested we hire a professional planner to help coordinate the many, many logistics that go in to such an event.

I interviewed a couple planners before I found Chelsey. I was instantly attracted to her genuine and down-to-earth personality. She didn't try to put on airs to get our business, she just was her normal, happy, positive self. She was exactly what we needed. She was available to help with major decisions (from caterers and florists to budgets and bathrooms), as well as little details I wanted reassurance on ("Chelsey, do you think it will look ok if the junior groomsmen wear a different color shirt than the ring bearer?").

Chelsey also helped ease the mind of my parents during the planning process as well. They were able to feel like guests at their own party due to Chelsey being there to coordinate the details that may have pulled them away from their friends had she not been there.

Our wedding day memories are so special and will last forever. I'm so thankful the Lord blessed us with such an amazing friend and planner in Chelsey.

Chelsey was absolutely wonderful to work with! She is very professional, has creative ideas, and is so sweet. "I don't know how much you paid her, but she was absolutely worth every penny." That was my mother's comment on my wedding day about Chelsey's extraordinary service and attention to detail. Not only were her rates extremely reasonable (especially considering how many hundreds and hundreds of emails we exchanged) but the level of service she provided for my wedding was impeccable.

Here are my top 5 reasons why she was so great (I had to narrow it down):

1. She is a quick and thorough problem solver. On the wedding day I noticed a few details that deviated from our original plan for the day and it was clear that Chelsey noticed that something wouldn't work quite as expected, so she solved these problems expertly without burdening me with them.

2. She is a MOB/MOG/bridesmaid whisperer. My mom can be pretty anxious and she tore the hem of her dress before we walked over to the ceremony. After a quick pow wow with Chelsey in the ladies' room (I have no idea what she said), she was calm and serene and all smiles.

3. She has an extraordinary eye for design and making your vision a reality. Sometimes it can be difficult to adequately express your full vision for your day, but Chelsey just got it from day one and she delivered MY vision, regardless of what she herself would have chosen (though i think she liked most of what I chose! haha).

4. She is incredibly patient and gracious. I can be incredibly demanding, especially when I am stressed out. Chelsey always handled this with such grace. I learned a lot from her personally by observing this quality in practice. It serves her well in business.

5. She will be your friend. When welcoming someone into every decision of the most intimate day of your life thus far, you develop a certain bond. She talked me off the edge more than once when I dealt with family/bridesmaid/other disasters.

I hired Chelsey for "day of" wedding services, and she was so wonderful to work with! Right from our initial meeting, I felt very comfortable working with her and in putting my trust in her. Throughout my year of planning, she was always responsive to my emails, and would check in with me to see how I was doing. She saved me from a disaster with the first caterer I had hired, and in doing so I knew that she always had my best interests in mind. She was so sweet, yet totally professional, and was totally on her game on the day of my wedding! At times I questioned myself as to whether having a wedding coordinator was a necessary expense, but on my wedding day, I very quickly came to see how valuable it was to have someone to take care of all the logistics and little details.

As I believe the groom often does, I approached my wedding in general terms. I generally knew what went into the planning & execution of a wedding. Start with a ring & a question; find a location; hire a caterer, photographer, etc. & everything else would fall into place. With my detail orientated fiancée, who had a knack for visualizing & planning things to a tee, I overlooked the role of wedding planner & was, honestly, a little wary of the necessity, especially as we were for the most part financing the wedding ourselves. My wife assured me Chelsey was not only at the top of her profession, but she would handle the multitude of details & day-of operations that I had no clue about. For both of us, she would mean peace of mind, & on the day of our wedding, when our focus was to enjoy the day & celebrate our love, that peace of mind was paramount.
Chelsey’s advice, know-how, & vendor relations saved us a tremendous amount of time, money, & headaches. I had peace of mind & total confidence in her & her team immediately & even then they exceeded my expectations. As the weekend unfolded in seamless harmony, we were left to actually enjoy the event & share our love and happiness with our family and friends. From the first look to the last sparkler, Gather Together handled every detail, making sure our vendors had what they needed & knew when and where they needed to be. She worked with all the family & wedding party perfectly, navigating different personalities and needs, while maintaining complete control and direction over the process.

We hired Gather Together events almost at the last minute (1.5 months before our wedding) as we were very overwhelmed and needed someone to help tie up loose ends and be there the day of our wedding to make sure that everything went smoothly. Having Chelsey and her team at Gather Together for day-of coordination was the best decision I made for my wedding day (after the groom). Chelsey is detail-oriented, extremely talented, and fabulous. She is incredibly knowledgeable and saved me tons of time by recommending exactly the right vendors for my taste and budget. Everyone loves working with her and she put me and my family at ease starting at the rehearsal all the way through the end of the night. I cannot say enough good things about Chelsey from Gather Together. She is the true epitome of elegence, hospitality, and southern charm. She is beyond professional and willing to to go to extreme lengths to help a bride's day be perfect. She sticks to time schedules and is extremely prompt with everything! With her help, I didn't have to worry about a thing! She is so professional, and beyond that, she is a wonderful person and I have received numerous compliments from others who have worked with her.

For important events, like our wedding reception, we need to feel comfortable with our vendors and know that we can count on them, and we definitely felt that way about Chelsey. It's wonderful when people do what they are meant to do in life, and I'm convinced that Chelsey was born to be an event planner because she's fabulous at what she does.

I had no idea where to start with my wedding plans and I was not even sure what I wanted when Chelsey began asking questions. She went above and beyond anything I have ever seen. Chelsey knows a lot of people in the business and knew just how to get everything I wanted done within my budget and even more amazing than anything I could have ever imagined. Chelsey knows exactly what to do to keep things in order and running smoothly and I could not be happier with my decision to trust her with the best day of my life. When I started planning my wedding, I knew that I wanted (actually, NEEDED) someone to coordinate the day of my wedding to manage the chaos, so I could enjoy the day instead of herding the cats. I met with Chelsey and knew that I had found my wedding planner match. She was detailed, enthusiastic, confident and totally nice and sweet on top of it. Throughout my engagement, she was helpful and responsive, and on the day of the wedding, I can't even tell you amazing it was the have her handle all the details while I drank mimosas and got my hair done that morning. I literally did not have to worry about one detail. I should preface that by saying that my wedding was a huge ordeal (230 people) in the middle of no where, in the woods, with an insane amount of details that were all planned by my mother and I. When I showed up on the day of the wedding to look around the reception space about 30 minutes before the ceremony, it took my breath away. All of the tiniest things that I had slaved over for the last year were exactly as I had imagined (and more!). She took my vision and executed it flawlessly. Investing in Chelsey was the same as investing in my sanity for my wedding day, and that was worth every single penny!

I cannot stress the importance of a wedding planner and make sure you get her at the beginning. The earlier you get her the more she will save you in the long run! I wish I would have found Chelsey sooner, but there are no complaints whatsoever. I believe I would have found a better venue had I had her expertise in the beginning! As soon as we met with her and decided to use her an immediate weight rolled off my shoulders. From the wedding design, to the engagement shoot styling to the execution on the day of, she took care of everything. Hiring Katherine to help us plan our wedding was the absolute best decision we made when we decided to get married in North Carolina, where neither of us live anymore. From the moment we had our initial interview with her, she was attentive, completely professional, and easygoing - if we ever stressed her out, we could never tell. She knows the local wedding industry inside and out and was able to recommend skilled professionals in just about any budget range. Also, she's just a super nice person. Several of our vendors commented on how much they loved working with her. Our wedding turned out absolutely perfect - my family and friends kept saying how weirdly relaxed I seemed, and it was because I knew Katherine and her team had everything under control.

Being a bit of a control freak myself, I sometimes had a tough time letting go and allowing my wedding to be in someone else's hands, but I regret nothing, and Katherine patiently answered every dumb question and patiently dealt with every concern I had, down to needing to change the seating plan at the last second. The best part is that my husband and I are both kind of offbeat, nerdy people who wanted a weird mixture of a traditional wedding and a quirky modern one, and we never once felt like we were being steered in a direction that wasn't right for us. If you're on the fence about getting a planner, or if you know you want one but aren't sure where to start looking, get in touch with Gather Together. They are magicians!

Chelsey was absolutely irreplaceable during our wedding planning process! When she took a hiatus for maternity leave, Katherine stepped in and helped us along with everything we needed. We were planning an NC wedding from out of town, so Chelsey was extremely accommodating in helping us narrow down vendors and squeezing in meetings during the rare times I was in town. She helped us realize a dream wedding that we had not even imagined at the beginning. Whenever I had any questions, no matter how small (especially about etiquette!), she was always patient and thoughtful in her responses. I really felt like I connected with her and her impeccable sense of style and design =). Wedding day itself ran incredibly smoothly--I didn't have to worry about anything and got to completely enjoy myself at the wedding (which was amazing)! I cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a wedding planner!

We had Gather Together coordinate our wedding day for us. Chelsea was amazing. She kept everything on track, provided advice as needed, and had a wonderful attitude. She even saved us some money a couple of days before the wedding. I could not have been happier!
