Chris went above and beyond for our wedding reception!

Chris went above and beyond making sure the music, projections, and slideshow were perfect for our wedding reception. He was a great communicator during the planning process which helped us go confidently into our wedding day knowing that things would run smoothly for the areas he was in charge of.

We really impressed by how Chris actually went to the event venue and showed sent us mockups of potential wall projections. This was so nice because we actually could visualize the projections make a choice we knew we would be happy with.

Overall, we highly recommend Chris. (Side note- He is great for type A personality planners, which we were!)

If you need any type of av, search no further! This company has it all! Family Friendly orientated, and all around the life of the party! We will never use another av service again! Thanks Future Sounds!

fantastic DJ

Chris is a fantastic DJ. He was very helpful during the planning phase. He played all of our favorite songs. He helped my dad and sister set up to perform a song. He was great with the guests. Many people told us how much they enjoyed the music at the reception and the dancing. My mother told us that his interactions were so natural that he felt like part of the family.

Outstanding

Chris is far more than just a DJ for you events. I met him at Lost Mission then again at a wedding expo. He gave us his recommendations and advice which was so helpful during planning. Our wedding ran 30 minutes late and if it wasn’t for Chris, we couldn’t have made it through the rest of the night. He is amazing and so knowledgeable about his events. I wouldn’t even think twice to book him.

Great service!

We hired Future sounds for our AV needs for our Holiday Party. Chris was such a pleasure to work with. He was professional, reliable, and remained flexible given the trouble the venue gave us the day of our event. We provided a playlist and hired him to be there for the duration of the event. He was instrumental in helping us make announcements needed throughout the event which kept the party going. I would highly recommend him and we will definitely be using his services again!

100/10 Recommend!

Here I am reviewing almost a year after our wedding, but we are still happy! Chris was amazing for our DJ service! We had a western/boho wedding and he kept everyone going the whole night! Our experience was extra special as he helped me audio record my song to my dad for our dad-daughter dance and gave us a CD with the recording after. Tears! He was truly amazing and will not disappoint you. Very thorough, great communication, great attention to detail, and overall does a wonderful job making his clients happy. 100/10 recommended!!

Best AV & DJ around

I hired Chris for an event in San Antonio, although I wish I had a Chris of my own for my wedding!! He was phenomenal. As an event planner, I didn’t have to think twice about anything AV, lighting, sound, music, nothing!! He was hands down the best AV guy I’ve ever had!! His attention to detail was so appreciated too! If you’re looking for any AV, lighting, sound, DJ/music- HIRE CHRIS!!

The Best!!

Chris is absolutely amazing and I sincerely recommend his services. He is extremely knowledgable and worked so hard to make our wedding day perfect; we cannot thank him enough!

We really wanted a projection on our wedding cake, something we hadn't seen in San Antonio before, and he made it happen. The cake looked beautiful and was everything we hoped for. It was incredible, our guests are still talking about it!

He was an amazing MC/DJ, our guests loved him and the music he played; he kept everyone on the dance floor! He is very professional and was amazing to work with. He was able to edit a song for the mother/son dance and was very helpful with planning our timeline. He helped us keep on track and made sure it was exactly what we wanted. Overall, he was absolutely incredible and we can't recommend him enough!

Chris is THE BEST. We are so happy we had him at our wedding! He made the whole night flawless. What a professional. One of the highlights of the night was when he called an impromptu group hug right before our guests lined up for our exit. It was so flawless and there was no hesitation by anyone. I'll never forget it.

Perfect DJ!

Chris Koval did such an amazing job at our party! I could not say enough nice things about him. He was so easy to work with and completely understanding rescheduling due to COVID. He was professional, personable, kept everyone out on the dance floor and handled the entire night perfectly. My favorite part of the night was when he helped us organize playing a short video from our wedding by using his projector and screen last minute. Such a special moment for my husband and I and our family and friends. So so grateful for his work!

Chris is Awesome!!

Chris of Future Sounds is dialed in! He is so very knowledgeable as far as venues in San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country are concerned. My husband and I got married at Southwest School of Art. Chris sent photos of prior weddings he had done at SWSA to help us figure out the best setup for us. He also knew the specific rules and parameters for SWSA and made sure we were aware of applicable city ordinances and what not. He knows what he is doing and it translates to how much stress he removes from situations! Go with Future Sounds! You will be happy you did!!

Amazing DJ!

Having met Chris at an Open House, we were impressed with his appearance, his personality, and his professionalism. We met up with him again at a Bridal Show and booked him on the spot .... one of the best decisions we made! Chris provided links to all of the music, which made selecting what would be played at our daughter's wedding and reception so easy for her and her groom. He also provides a questionaire so that a client can select his manner of dress (tuxedo, semi-formal, casual), along with other specifics. He tailors his services to his clients' preferences. Chris's website is easy to navigate and was a tremendous help. He was incredibly patient in answering all of our many questions. Having used his services, we know why Chris has been so successful in his 20+ years in the DJ business. Our daughter and her groom, the families, and guests couldn't have been more pleased, and the great remarks we received from guests confirmed that hiring Chris was an excellent decision !

Amazing DJ!

We can't thank Chris enough! My now wife and I are not dancing people at all, so going into the wedding we were very unsure about what kind of music we wanted or what kind of music we didn't want. Chris made the entire process so easy and painless. He was willing to meet with us if needed and had an easy to follow sheet that broke down the entire wedding for us. We chose the songs that we for sure wanted and then let Chris have creative control for the rest of the music and it was perfect! Having an outside wedding we had music playing as guests found a seat, during the ceremony, and after. And since we were in front of a waterfall, Chris was able to mic me up so that every guests could hear our vows and "I do's". I got so many complements for our music and I loved that everyone could enjoy every word of our big day! And during the reception, I never danced so much in my entire life! The day was perfect and Chris went above and beyond expectations!

Chris is amazing. He helped us so much to stay organized throughout the planning and even at the ceremony/reception. We utilized his ceremony service and his DJ service for our reception. He is very professional and has so much experience. He was able to make our wedding day run smoothly and we would definitely book him again!! He provided about 8-9 hours of service!

Great, professional DJ

Chris was wonderful to work with and did a great job for both our ceremony and our reception. He took the time and care to work with me on small details that make a big difference (certain versions of songs, start/stop times, pronouncing our parties’ names correctly, etc.). He also had a great sense of the crowd and what to play. I was planning this wedding from out of town, and Chris made it so easy with his accessibility and professionalism.

Chris is amazing!

Chris has DJ'ed 2 of our family members' weddings and we were so thrilled he was able to do ours. We had multiple compliments about his services and how much fun our guests had! Apart from the great dance music played, the limbo competition was a hit! He gives great customer service and even met me and my wedding planner at the venue a week before the wedding to make sure I liked the color of the uplights in the venue space. I would definitely recommend Future Sounds to all of my friends and family.

Chris Koval is an excellent and professional DJ! We hired him for our wedding in July of 2018. My now husband, Andrew, and I met with him a couple months before the wedding, and we immediately liked him. Chris took the time to listen to what we wanted and asked questions about our wedding vision. He was very flexible and organized which are invaluable traits in a wedding vendor. He will adapt his DJ style to fit your event, and he’s great at reading the crowd. Perhaps more importantly, he has a friendly, positive attitude that will help put you at ease. He offers several packages and will go over them with you, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. At the wedding, he set up beautiful uplighting in our venue, MC-ed the wedding, and of course played great music. We are so happy we hired him, and he helped make our big day spectacular!

Chris was fantastic. He knows what he's doing, can take direction, but also makes great suggestions (including suggestions about the flow and timing of the entire evening). Since my mom and I planned my wedding ourselves, this advice was super helpful. He knew how to get the guests involved and dancing as well as how to make important announcements. During the reception, guests asked me for his info - he was that impressive. Highly recommend.

Chris was truly fantastic! He made our wedding so much fun, and was amazing when it came to interacting with the crowd and making sure everyone was having a good time! Chris Koval is very knowledgeable and professional. My wife and I hired his company Future Sounds to be the DJ at our wedding. Chris’s expertise in the field made the planning very easy. We provided Chris a short list of requested songs and he was able to create a full playlist for the wedding from our suggestions that blended nicely with our requests. We didn’t make this easy on him; we had requests that included multiple Jazz songs, Nine Inch Nails, a German lager song and the Knight Rider theme song. Chris also used up lights for the venue that really enhanced the look of the venue. We had multiple compliments from our guests on his ability as a DJ from song selection to professionalism. We highly recommend Chris Koval from Future Sounds for any special event that requires a DJ.

Chris was amazing! He really helped create the party mood in my guests at the reception. He was also so good at controlling the flow of the reception and super professional. He was also really helpful during the planning process. His website contains a bunch of guides for planning the ceremony and reception and whoever I had questions he always got back to me right away. He also did the music for my ceremony and it was spectacular!

Chris Koval at FutureSounds did such a phenomenal job at our wedding! From the moment we met him at the bridal show to the end of our wedding he was wonderful to work with- Chris is professional, organized, and highly experienced! He met with my husband and I a few times when we were still in town (he even came to the walk-through with us a few months before the wedding to go over the set up and plan for the ceremony and reception- he set up the lighting for us, let us add a Gobo light, and an extra hour!) and communicated with us via email and phone after we moved to make sure that all of our questions were answered and the timing for the ceremony and reception was perfect. Chris edited the our first dance, father-daughter, and mother-son songs for us so they were at the desired length and made sure that they sounded flawlessly! He also made sure that the reception flowed smoothly and everyone was having a blast on the dance floor! Half a year later, all our friends and family are still telling us how much fun they had at our wedding and what a wonderful DJ we had! If you're looking for an amazing DJ, someone who is wonderful to work with, and someone who will go above and beyond your expectations- book Future Sounds!

Chris from Future Sounds is fabulous! From the beginning he was professional, organized, experienced, and made it so easy for me to plan from out of state. Future sounds did quite a few services for us including ceremony music, GOBO, reception music, and was our M.C for the night. He did a wonderful job in every category and he helped our wedding flow smoothly and beautifully. Some of our crazy friends were throwing out requests left and right and he handled it all with grace. We weren't planning on doing a garter toss. but towards the end of the night we decided to add it in and he made it seem like it was planned the whole time! He is very talented with the way he groups songs together and knew exactly what the guests wanted! Future Sounds is worth every penny.

Chris is the best hands down, having never planned an event so big he made everything super easy. We had a country theme and while we knew the direction we wanted it was Chris that pulled all the music together. You honestly cant go wrong by choosing Future Sounds.

Chris Koval from Future Sounds really came through on our wedding day. My husband and I are not too trendy on the music front and have a unique taste in our tunes, but that was no issue for Chris! We sent him our custom playlists and he made sure everything we wanted was played and filled in gaps with awesome selections! On top of that, he was able to smoothly transition and edit the lengths of our processional music so that there were no awkward transitions or gaps in music. Chris was super easy to work with and talk to, and made music an easy obstacle to tackle during wedding planning.

Mr. Chris Koval, M.A. is a fantastic dj/mc and, both my wife and I, would sincerely recommend his services to any one person, soon-to-be-wed couple or group hoping to cater a memorable event! He demonstrated a knack for feeling out the people, setting an appropriate ambiance and choosing wonderful music to set the mood for any occasion and under virtually any circumstances - in this case, at our wedding, in what was a torrential downpour and ultimately the flood of the century in Boerne, TX. He is a consummate professional and a genuinely good person who will go to any length to insure that your event meets your expectations and beyond. His prices are fair, and his experience and grasp - mastery - of his trade are evident from the get go. For the first time in my experience of weddings, every single person was on the dance floor and everyone was having a blast; no doubt, because "the DJ" was playing something for everybody! Most importantly, he handled the seemingly awkward moments where miscommunications will undoubtedly arise no matter how well you plan; such as, the toast and cake cutting ceremonies. We would seriously consider a sit-down/consultation with, Chris. He is an phenomenal DJ/MC!

If you are looking for a DJ, look no further Future Sounds is the answer. Chris is absolutely awesome!!!
He is not only a DJ playing songs list for you but he guided you throughout the ceremony sounds and all the way to the reception. Chris is very responsive and really works on your needs!!! My guess absolutely impressed and had fun!!! The Pastor did our wedding, made a comment that he attended and officiated many weddings never seen quiet like our DJ :-) He is great!!!
We highly recommend Chris. We are planning to use him again in the future!

Chris was great at keeping the reception moving. His equipment was great for both the wedding and the reception. The music was the right volume to be heard by all but not too loud.
He was great to work with.

Chris provided several services for us for our wedding ceremony and reception. He was very professional and responsive with everything that we requested. The uplighting he provided for the venue softened the look of the room and made it look even more elegant.

From the ceremony to the cocktail hour and then throughout the reception, Chris provided great music for our guests to enjoy. We were very impressed with his services, and will definitely plan to use Chris for any and all future events we have.

Chris with Future Sounds was the DJ at our wedding. He was so professional and friendly....very easy to get along with. When we met with him before the wedding, he had such a huge gallery of music and even suggested some amazing music/songs that we hadn't even thought of. He did the music for our ceremony and reception. The music and timing was perfect for the ceremony. At the reception, he kept everything on track...the dinner, toasts, cake-cutting, dances, send-off, etc. He played just the right music to keep people on the dance floor and having fun. He made our wedding ceremony and reception memorable and fun!! We would highly recommend Chris with Future Sounds to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ!!!!

Chris was our DJ for the evening and he was fantastic!!! He worked with us throughout the evening even as things changed. He kept the mood fun and entertaining and his choice of music kept people on the dance floor all night. I highly recommend using Future Sounds for your wedding.

Future Sounds DJ service was one of the best parts of our wedding! Every time a new song played someone looked at me and said "Great job with the music!" I loved every song that was played. We had such a great experience, I could not have asked for better! Thanks Chris and Cheryl! :)

Chris was very professional, the sound quality was great. He could sense the mood of the crowd and pick the right music. I danced all night long! Highly recommend Future Sounds!

Chris is awesome and their music database allows you to build your entire playlist which I LOVED! We went to his house and picked out our ceremony music that fit us perfectly. I would recommend him to anyone!

Not sure what happened with the other review, but I would highly recommend Future Sounds. I was in graduate school and had very little time to put towards wedding planning, especially which songs I wanted played. Chris and Cheryl were both very flexible and even allowed me to have several phone meetings with them instead of having a scheduled appointment. Also, I finally got a list of songs to them far after the deadline, 4 days before the wedding, and they still managed to play all of the songs we had requested! Not to mention, the cost wasn't very high either and Chris did an excellent job "reading" the guests mood to determine which songs to play for everyone to have a great time. Overall, I was very pleased and impressed with their service!

My husband and I were very impressed with Chris Koval at Future Sounds. He played a wide range of music that kept people on the dance floor all night and even helped me with the timeline when I didn't know how it should flow with mariachis, special dances and toasts. The only thing we were disappointed with was that we had requested a last dance to be played just for me and my husband at the end of the night without anyone else in the room and he didn't play it! At the end of the night, the lights came on and he started packing up. When we went over to ask him about the last song for us, he said that the venue had ordered him to pack up because it was midnight. Chris had said he had played this venue before, so he should have known about their strict timeline and cut out a different song at the end of the night so we could get our last dance in. But overall, we felt very comfortable with him and he is a great DJ.

They were great up until two weeks before the wedding! At that point, I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I called daily and left several messages. They never returned my calls. They run their business out of their home and I knew where it was from meeting to sign the contract, so I showed up without having talked to anyone to make my final payment and talk about the reception! They seemed kind of annoyed but oh well they should have called me back! My husband and I arrived 20 minutes late to the reception because of pictures and from that point on the dj was constantly following me around to find out what time things need to be done. They continued to bother me even after we had caught up with the time line which was frustrating because I just wanted to have fun and enjoy my reception. I would not recommend this company...luckily I was able to ignore them enough to have fun!

I had heard great things about future sounds so i was excited to work with them. They were very flexible and when we needed a screen a day before the wedding for a slideshow they were right on it. The bad part about them was they got my walk in song wrong, my intro the wedding party song wrong. The bouquet and garter song wrong as well.
