We loved working with Ford Colony Country Club's Director of Private Events Kristin Collins through the wedding day planning process. She was very responsive, flexible and helped us navigate through any issue that stymied our planning. We are extremely grateful and thankful to her and her team to make our wedding venue and wedding forever memorable for us and our guests. Our wedding was a huge success in part due to Ford's execellent team and we are so elated that we chose Ford's Colony Country Club as our wedding venue. The Garden Pavillion is absolutely breathtaking during evening and is a perfect venue for cocktail parties and receptions! Our guests loved the bar setup and seating arrangement on the dock outside the Garden Pavillion. The appetizers that were served prior to our wedding ceremony were loved and appreciated by our guests. Country Club's dining hall was chosen for our wedding ceremony and we couldn't have been happier with the ceremony's venue. Plenty of light in the hall. We highly recommend this venue for any couple who's looking into getting a wedding of their dreams! Staff is very responsive, helpful and professional!

Melissa Vine the event coordinator is exceptional. She is extremely detail oriented, organized and thoughtful. She cares about her client’s vision and does whatever she can to achieve it. She made wedding planning a breeze. She talked to all our vendors, figure out schedules and always made sure that we were on the same page. She suggested a lot of things that I haven’t even thought of. The day before The wedding one of my bridesmaids’ bouquet was dying. Melissa went out of her way the morning of the wedding and bought flowers and redid the bouquet. She definitely goes above and beyond her job duties. She made our dream wedding a reality. I heard a lot of people say that the day of the wedding a lot of thing go wrong. It wasn’t the case for us. We had the best time of our lives. Thank you Melissa and Ford’s Colony for everything.

Fords Colony was wonderful! I booked this venue pre-covid, and got married May 2021. Melissa, the Director of Private Events, was OUTSTANDING. She and her team worked with us for months and months talking through capacity uncertainty, social distancing, etc. Melissa truly went above & beyond to make our entire wedding weekend special. At the end of it all, I felt like she was a friend, rather than an employee of the venue!! Of course, the venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the set up was impeccable, but the thing that stands out the most about this venue is Melissa! I HIGHLY recommend!

Planning a wedding in 2020 took a great deal of patience, and ability to look beyond the uncertainties ahead. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Melissa and Peter were so accommodating, and took away so much of that uncertainty. They handled each change (and there were quite a few) with understanding, professionalism, and attention to detail. They went above & beyond to make sure our wedding day was special, and that our guests were comfortable. Additionally, Melissa and Peter took the time to know us, and form a personal connection - which really sets them apart, especially when you’re celebrating one of the most exciting moments of your life.

Ford's Colony has been absolutely incredible! The place is so beautiful and they have so much to offer! I fell in love with it when picking my venue. Once I saw Ford's Colony, I canceled every other venue tour I had scheduled. My wedding has suddenly been postponed due to covid-19, and the people at Ford's Colony have been the absolute best at getting that rescheduled for us! We are forever grateful for Jessica and Peter!!!

Choosing Ford's Colony Country Club as the venue for our wedding and reception was hands down the best decision I could have made. From beginning to end, I don't have a single complaint. The staff is incredible. I worked with Courtney and she was AMAZING. She made sure everything was taken care of and kept the whole day on track and took away all the stress. The staff working the reception were all so kind and attentive. The food was incredible. We decided to stray from the traditional menu and do stations-- taco bar, slider station, mac and cheese bar and salad bar. It was a HIT with the guests and I was appreciative that the venue was able to make it work for us. Not to mention, this place is GORGEOUS. Without having to add a whole lot. The chivari chairs, linens (depending on color), tables, all included in price. Even gold (or silver) chargers! The reception area has beautiful chandeliers, lighting, and draping on the ceiling. The room we got married in has so much natural light. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is this place is awesome. Great value, reasonably priced, great staff, great food, and beautiful. If I had to to it all over again, I would absolutely still choose Ford's Colony.

When I was looking for a wedding venue, I wanted to make sure there was a good indoor option for both the ceremony and reception. Ideally, I wanted this to be two different spaces, but I wasn't sure I would be able to find it. When I walked into Ford's Colony Country Club, I knew I had found the place! Our ceremony room was beautiful with walls of windows and natural light. Cocktail hour was on the patio outside, and our reception was in the lovely Garden Pavilion. It was absolutely perfect! Ford's Colony provided the chairs and linens, and they also provided all of the food. Our meals were delicious, and I have gotten numerous comments from my guests about how good everything was. We got positive feedback on our appetizers and our signature cocktail as well. Ford's Colony was great to work with, and the venue was perfect! The spaces are lovely, so we did minimal decorations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an indoor or outdoor wedding venue. They have some lovely outdoor ceremony spots too, but I didn't want to risk anything with the weather. Again, we are so happy that we chose Ford's Colony Country Club as our wedding venue!

This place was absolutely beautiful! We got married on the golf course, looking over the water. The back-up plan/ “if it rains” room was gorgeous as well so we felt good knowing if the weather didn’t cooperate, we had a great alternative. Shay and Courtney, the on-site coordinators were so sweet and patient and detail oriented. They were always there to quickly respond to all my questions, provide recommendations and reassurance. The property itself is beautiful and my husband loves to play golf, so getting married on a golf course was perfect for us. He even got 2 free rounds of golf on the wedding weekend. We loved having all aspects of the wedding in one location so our guests did not have to drive somewhere else for the reception. After the ceremony on the golf course, our guests went to the patio for cocktail hour and then moved inside the gorgeous reception hall for the party. The reception room has string lights and lots of windows looking over the view and was so beautiful to start with, it required little decoration besides centerpieces on the tables. We also loved that we and many of our guests could stay at the Marriot right next door, which is a beautiful hotel and if our guests wanted to get a little too tipsy they could take a 5 minute walk back to their rooms at the end of the party. Also, Ford’s Colony has a bar onsite where we were able to hold a little after party. They allowed us to do a sparkler grand exit at the end of the night, which some places do not let you do. Also, I should mention that we got a great deal by booking less than 6 months out; so while the quick wedding planning is stressful, it worked out really well for us because we would not have been able to afford this place otherwise. All in all, Ford's Colony was beautiful, the service and food and drinks were on point, and we recommend it to anyone.

This place is gorgeous! We loved it from day one. Shay and Courtney responded quickly to any questions or concerns and they made the process so easy. The food was great as well. I recommend Ford's Colony to anyone...whether it's a wedding or a party.

My husband and I fell in love with Ford's Colony Country Club from the first time we saw it. The venue and grounds were beautiful, and just what I dreamed for our wedding day! We had the ceremony and reception both on site, and it went off without an issue. The entire planning process was so smooth thanks to Shay! She was extremely professional, responsive and made me feel like a bride. I need to plan another event there just so I can work with her again! The food was also fantastic- we had a mashed potato bar and it was a huge hit!

After touring Ford's Colony we knew almost immediately that this is where we wanted to have our reception. Shay was wonderful throughout the process from start to finish. The venue is beautiful, the food was great, and the food was fantastic!

Ford’s Colony was a dream for our wedding day! The venue is SO beautiful that you hardly need to go above and beyond with decorations, the food was amazing, and Shay is absolutely the BEST!! She was so responsive, gave us all the information we wanted/needed, helped move things along for our rehearsal, and even helped us create a timeline for our day! Both my husband and I were pretty clueless when it came to a lot of details, but Shay was quick to give us guidance/advice and it made our wedding day go so smoothly!

Shay Rybin is the events coordinator here and she was a dream to work with - responded quickly to every question including my inane bridal worries, presented all kinds of great options, and was so kind every step of the way. Ford's Colony Country Club is beautiful and easy for all your guests to have a ceremony and reception all in one place if you want. Minimal extra decorations are needed, place speaks for itself, and their packages include a LOT of things you would have to buy or rent separately elsewhere. So glad we had our wedding here!

When my husband and I were touring venues, we had a few appointments scheduled after Ford's Colony and cancelled them all. I'm so glad we did. The grounds and interiors are absolutely gorgeous and Shay is the most amazing event coordinator. She ran our rehearsal and communicated with other vendors to make sure everything came off without a hitch. Staff was friendly and helpful every step of the way. I cannot recommend them more strongly to future couples!

When initially beginning to search for a venue, my husband and I didn’t know where to begin. We made a few appointments and Ford’s Colony was the first we visited and the last. We instantly knew it was the perfect venue. There was plenty of space for our guests and it was a beautiful location. Our guests all raved about the food, atmosphere and the location. My husband and I worked with Shay throughout the year and she was extremely helpful and responsive. I HIGHLY recommend this venue.

We used the venue for both our ceremony and our reception and it was beautiful from start to finish. Thanks to Shay, everything went flawlessly despite us making many last-minute changes. Shay was so helpful and friendly; she made sure we had everything we needed and made the process super simple. The banquet staff was great and made us feel special the entire night. We would recommend this venue to anyone!

In the beginning we were working with Brittany and then switched over to Shay. The transition from 1 event person to the next was seemless! Shay helped answer all of questions in a timely manner and gave us great suggestions through the whole process! She was great to work and highly recommend Ford's Colony for a wedding!

Where do I begin? When we were first looking for a venue, we stopped here and knew immediately that this would be our place. Between the beautiful atmosphere and the professionalism and helpfulness of Shay, it was easy to say yes to having our big day here. Shay always got back to us within a reasonable time with an answer. Through every change we made, she was very pleasant in helping us make those changes. We had our rehearsal, ceremony and reception there and from the words of my guests, it was one of the most beautiful and best weddings they had attended. From the front attendant to the waiters, everyone was friendly and accommodating. If there ever comes a time that I need another big event done, I will not hesitate to go back. We started off working with Brittany Rice, then Samantha Garcia, then with Shay Rybin, and while I was concerned about the transition at first, our emails and calls never went unanswered. The venue itself is stunning, so it was an easy sell, but the great food and Shay's help made everything perfect. We got a ton of compliments from friends and family on dinner, the venue, the staff, and the flow of the night- Shay kept us moving like a well oiled machine. I wouldn't have changed a thing!

We just celebrated our daughter's wedding here on Sunday, October 8th and even though it was raining outside, the inside was aglow with beautiful decor and a breathtaking reception room/tent! The cascading drapery and white lights provided a romantic and elegant setting, while the staff served an array of mouth watering dinners. One of the the best things about the venue is dealing with Shay, the event coordinator! She made the entire wedding planning a joy, shared wonderful ideas and was always available to answer our questions!! She's a gem!! I would highly recommend the venue, not just because of the food and ambience, but also because Shay made the entire process wonderful!!

Our experience working with Shay at Ford's Colony was one of the most rewarding, stress-free experiences we had leading up to our wedding! Shay was clearly knowledgeable in planning events and made sure to ask as detailed questions as possible to ensure the day was planned out and we had as little as possible to worry about. The room for our ceremony and reception was prepared beyond expectations. I truly recommend having your wedding (or any event for that matter) at Ford's Colony. You won't regret it!

What a picturesque location!! My husband and I toured many venues in search for the perfect setting, but this by far took our breath away. We experienced a few slight changes with the gain of a new event coordinator, but the transition was so smooth it did not alter our decision. Shay Rybin is PHENOMENAL!! Her professionalism and genuine attitude towards her clients, is reflected in her quality of work. Her hands on approach and flexibility became very interpersonal when we faced unforeseen circumstances. It's such an honor to call her our anniversary buddy!!

I planned my wedding remotely from Florida. I started off with Brittany Rice, then Samantha Garcia, but ended up with Shay Rybin. I was a little concerned with the change of hands, but my ceremony and reception were practically flawless. The venue is beautiful and Shay was incredibly accommodating! She was onsite for our rehearsal and during our ceremony and reception. The food was phenomenal! We got SO many compliments on our choices! I had many friends and family members tell us it was the best wedding they had ever attended!!

It's an amazing place to do weddings!

I can't say enough great things about our experience with Ford's Colony! From start to finish, Brittany responded quickly to my (many!) calls and emails. She walked us through the venue's standout room and menu options, and was very flexible when our start time and guest count changed. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our snowy wedding day was a success! Our guests are still raving about the outstanding food and service!

Fords Colony was not our first choice for a venue, we originally wanted a barn venue however, we are so glad we so happened to stop by to check it out because our wedding was absolutely perfect! Fords Colony was the perfect venue for our wedding day. The ceremony site out by the lake is beautiful and our reception hall at the Garden Pavilion was amazing. We had about 130 guest at our wedding and still had plenty of room inside the Garden Pavilion, they have pretty white lights strung throughout the inside and outside around their outdoor deck. There was no limitations on personal decorations. The staff provided excellent service; our guest raved about how great the service and venue was.

Ford's Colony was wonderful and our big day wouldn't have been the same without such a beautiful venue and exceptional food and bar service for our reception. We used the Garden Pavilion for the reception and it was just lovely. The best of both words, the glass windows made you think you were outside in a beautiful tent, but the air conditioning on our hot 100 degree day and direct access to bathrooms and the kitchen reminded you this was not the case. Brittany, their events coordinator, was incredible and so helpful in the days leading up, especially as I was an out-of-town bride. The arraignment of the room was beautiful and the price, especially considering what was included: tables, chairs, linens, flatware, glasses, plates, dance floor, was OUTSTANDING! The servers were attentive and kind and FC made sure we had a server just for us, the Bride and Groom, to ensure we had everything we needed. For example, when we arrived, they had put a little plate together of the appetizers so we could make sure we had something to munch on before dinner started.
Dinner was delicious! We went steak and crab cake, which was expensive, but it was totally worth it. The steaks were ALL cooked to perfect temp. Even our vegetarian friends, who I believe chose the eggplant stack, loved their meal. People raved about the food and said it was the best they had ever had at a wedding.
We spent our wedding night across the street at the Marriott Manor Club and the room was gorgeous and perfect for wedding-night bliss. Our wedding party was also at the Manor Club for the weekend and loved their accommodations. The team at Ford's Colony did an incredible job and I would choose them time and time again. Thank you Brittany for making my reception so magical!

Keep it simple. Ford's Colony was SO accommodating that with the little bit of decorating we came in and did prior to the ceremony/reception it was perfect! Brittany Rice and the entire staff was so helping even when we didn't ask. This was the PERFECT place for our event!

Fords Colony Country club was the perfect location for our spring wedding , Brittany was a joy to work with, she was so helpful , quick to response and guide us thru the last minute the staff was absolutely friendly and also bilingual which was a plus for our guest from abroad , if you are looking for the perfect location and a professional team you have to call Brittany Rice at Ford colony Country club . The food exceeded our expectations and the staff at Ford's Colony was very professional and responsive to all of our needs.

Our wedding was almost 2 months ago and we still can't get over how perfect everything was thanks to Ford's Colony! When I first started looking at wedding venues, I sent out an email blast to Williamsburg area country clubs. Brittany was the only one to respond to be request, and every email communication after that was quick and helpful! Brittany even stayed late at Ford's Colony to meet us for our initial visit to the venue - the country club made a quick decision to close their doors early due to an ice storm, and Brittany was in contact with me all afternoon about the status at the country club, finally letting me know that they had closed but that she would stay to meet us!

Brittany was also very helpful every time we visited in the planning stages - she let us have a sneak peak of another wedding being set up when we stopped in for lunch with our families one Saturday, and later in the process she helped us set up a delicious food tasting and then stayed with us for an extra hour answering all our questions.

The day of the wedding, Brittany was there very early and offered all day to help with any set up that we needed help with, and she took it upon herself to make sure certain tasks were taken care of. The transition from the ceremony to the reception was all handled well while the groom and I were off taking pictures. During the reception, the Ford's Colony staff were so attentive and made sure the groom and I got to eat, got drinks, and they even packed up a take home box for us so we could enjoy the food the next night! They were also there late with us after the reception ended - they did not rush to kick us out but instead helped as clean up the Garden Pavilion.

So many wedding guests told me the food was the best they'd ever had at a wedding reception, and that the ceremony and reception were very beautiful. I can't recommend Ford's Colony more highly!!

I cannot explain how happy I was with Ford's Colony and more specifically Brittany; the event coordinator. I spent weeks looking for venues in Northern Virginia when I happened upon Ford's Colony. I was already very inclined to sign the contract within the weekend but once I spoke to Brittany, I had her send the contract over right away (without visiting in person). When I visited a month later with my bridesmaids, Brittany ensured I saw the set-up and how my wedding day would flow. Did I mention this was on the day of her own wedding!? I could not believe she took time out of her own big day just to ease any concerns I had or answer questions.

Fast forward to a month out, we traveled down to do the food tasting. This was after numerous emails/calls from me changing our minds on food types. We wanted food stations with a nod to Southern Food without being "Shrimps/Grits" Southern style. The chef came out with various options and absolutely everything was perfect. We definitely left stuffed!

On the day of our wedding, the weather was grey and rainy but magically cleared up right before the ceremony. However, since the temperatures were dropping significantly later, Brittany called to make sure I was okay having the cocktail hour inside instead of on the deck - everything was moved and adjusted easily! The reception went off without a hitch and since my husband and I were too busy chatting up guests, the staff boxed up food for us to take at the end of the night. Last but not least, we stayed behind to ensure we said goodbye to each guest and when the Marriott shuttle was taking too long, the head of the waitstaff started to grab her car to personally drive us back. I, yet again, was floored by her generosity.

I am so grateful we found this venue and were able to work with such wonderful people. They made this very high stress bride calm as could be!!

Brittany and her team were great over at Ford's Colony. I dropped off random paper goods the morning of my wedding, not knowing what to do with them. We arrived for our reception and everything was placed exactly where it needed to be and the room was gorgeous. Nephews were dying for food before dinner was served and Kathy was able to quickly deliver chicken tenders to make the kiddos happy. Drinks were filled, bellies were full! FCCC did a wonderful job! Plan for a smaller wedding and book the dining room, it's gorgeous!

Brittany is such a huge help! She communicates well and helps you every step of the way! She's one busy person, but she always makes time for you! The staff were so helpful and professional as well! Loved this place and would recommend it to anyone!!

Booking with Ford's Colony was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. The venue is gorgeous, the service is wonderful, and the food is delicious.

Beginning with our first visit to Ford's Colony nearly a year before our wedding, Brittany made us feel at home. She helped us refine our vision for our big day and was there to make sure it came to life just as we'd envisioned it. She came through on everything she gave her word on. If something wasn't do-able, she let us know with enough time to come up with a new approach. She made time for us, which went a long way to keeping us from losing our minds at several points.

One of the things we wanted to avoid in a wedding venue was that "wedding factory" feeling; like we were just another couple getting married in a place that does 15 a weekend. We never felt like that with Brittany and Ford's Colony. They consistently went out of their way to make us feel like our day was of the utmost importance (even with so many other events going on every weekend).

We intended to put together an event that reflected who we are as a couple; an event that our friends and family from out of town would deem worthy of a trip to Williamsburg; and that people would enjoy and talk about for the days and weeks (months and years?) ahead. We definitely accomplished that, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Brittany and the staff at FCCC.

Wonderful venue! The professionalism of the Private Events Director and staff was impeccable. Brittany could not have been more knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive throughout months of planning. She was a pleasure to work with and continued to smoothly coordinate details throughout our daughter's beautiful wedding day. We would not have changed a thing. The food was excellent!

Planning my wedding at Ford's Colony was one of the best decisions that I could have made. Everything was wonderful and went even more smoothly than I could have imagined. Brittany was fantastic - very helpful, nice, always prompt with email responses, and went out of her way to answer any questions that I had. The food was absolutely amazing, and all of our guests have been raving about how nice the venue was and how delicious the food was. Ford's Colony was a perfect venue for my daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. We loved having multiple rooms to work with instead of tearing down and resetting the same room for both ceremony and reception. Brittany was a delight along with the entire staff. I had plenty of time, and they were flexible not ridged, when it came to my setting up and decorating. The reception room was unique with white fabric draping floor and ceiling along with overlooking the golf course. Not your typical square banquet room look. The food was delicious and I have only heard positive feedback from guest and family. Thank you Brittany and the Ford's Colony staff for making this a memorable celebration.

Brittany was amazing!!! She kept in touch with me prior to the event and was there during the event to make sure everything went Ok. She made everything stress free and we were able to enjoy the rehearsal dinner with family and friends due to the event coordinators and staff. We have and will recommend Fords Colony to everyone!!

Ford Colony Country Club made my Wife and I wedding very memorable. Brittany and the entire staff did an excellent job.

Hosting a wedding at Fords Colony Country Club is a breeze due to the beautiful facility and amazing staff. Brittany, the Catering Manager, is professional, responsive, flexible and friendly. For the past 100+ days! she handled all our questions and concerns while providing suggestions when we needed them most. As a Mother of the Bride who had recently returned from overseas, I appreciated Brittany's expertise and experience in planning a wedding. Along with Deanna, the Banquet Captain, they made us (the Bride and MoB totally comfortable as we knew that every detail was handled. It was extra comforting that they allowed us to visit a few other wedding set-ups so we could see the process first-hand. Both cared that the wedding went as planned w/out any glitches. We certainly could not have done it without them and will be forever grateful for all their hard work to make our day extra special.

We had our wedding ceremony + reception at Ford's Colony Country Club, one of the best venues in Williamsburg. We did not have a "wedding planner" and Brittany Lampe, Director of Catering, who helped coordinate everything went above and beyond to make sure all went smoothly; very easy to work with. FCCC is beautiful, the backdrop (golf courses; landscape) stunning. We had many out of town guests who stayed at the Marriott's Manor Club, only a few hundred feet away - so close/convenient they walked to the wedding. A great value for the price, quality of food and service. Highly recommend.

I just recently got married at Ford's COlony COuntry Club in the Garden Pavillion and it was the PERFECT venue for my wedding! Brittany Lampe and the FCCC were great to work with! Brittany was so helpful throughout the whole process and really made the wedding day come together! I would highly recommend this venue!

Ford's Colony is such a beautiful venue and the staff is fantastic! Audrey was extremely helpful throughout the planning of the event and Ford's Colony was able to fulfill all of our needs. The price even ended up being less than we thought it would in the end! I would recommend them to anyone!

The Ford's Colony Country Club staff were overall amazing! Even during the rehearsal dinner when I had to finish making a surprise bridal party gift, the staff went out of there way to find some tweezers to help me out. And during the reception, while we were constantly saying hi to everyone, the staff made a plate of food for us and kept making sure that if we needed something, they would take care of it. From the very beginning of first viewing the venue, all the way up to the wedding, and even afterwards, Shay was extremely helpful and awesome at her job! She was so down to earth that it made the planning process extremely easy.

We looked at several venues before choosing Ford's Colony and we have been extremely happy with our choice. The room we chose has gorgeous windows overlooking the golf course, which meant that natural light was flooding into the room (we had a winter wedding and did not want to feel "trapped" in a room). The event manager, Shay, is incredible! She walked us every step of the way, answered tons of emails and accommodated all our requests. On one occasion, when snow shut down Williamsburg, we Skyped so that we could make the last decisions about decorations. She did not miss a trick. The food was excellent and the portions generous. Through Shay, the chef worked with us to prepare a menu that would meet our expectations and those of our guests. At the reception, the waiting staff was impeccable and very attentive. Kathy (the waitress looking after our table) was absolutely lovely and made sure that we were attended to at all times. We are very, very happy with our choice and feel that Shay and her team did an excellent job at turning our vision into reality. Strongly recommended!

We had our November wedding and rehearsal here. Brittany and Samantha were both on top of every detail, and the value FCCC provided was unmatched anywhere else we looked in the Hampton Roads area. We had a lot of small details that were very important to us, and the venue handled them all like pros. Nothing negative to say -- we are so grateful to all the staff for ensuring our day was absolutely perfect.
One tip we have would be to set an agenda for site visits ahead of time, so you as the couple can prepare to make decisions on things at the meetings, as well as share your wedding timeline with the staff at Fords Colony, so all your vendors are on the same page.

I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding - Brittany went over and above in providing us with excellent support and made the wedding rehearsal and wedding day go smoothly. The staff and facilities were excellent! The reception food was fabulous! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting and wedding - it was beautiful!

Our reception was held in the Garden Pavilion room and Brittany was in charge of this whole process. Brittany could run that place with her eyes closed. The venue was beautiful and my reception turned out great!

We had such a beautiful and special wedding day at Ford's Colony Country Club. Kristen and Natalie were so helpful and reassuring during the planning process and handled a lot of the things a wedding day coordinator would normally do the day of. The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the team was pleasant and professional. What more could you ask for!?

Fords Colony is a beautiful venue, with amazing staff! I had 4 months to plan my daughter's wedding, and with the assistance of Shay Rybin , the private events director, we were able to have a beautiful, stress free wedding! Shay helped with the smallest details, and was there for us every step of the way, including the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception up to the cake cutting!
The banquet staff was attentive and the dinner was amazing! We had so many compliments on how good the food was, and how beautiful the rooms were decorated. I will definitely recommend Fords Colony to my friends.

I cannot say enough about this venue and the staff, especially Shay Rybin! She literally saved me during the planning process for my wedding....there was so much I did not know about or needed a suggestion for, and she was right there with plenty of helpful suggestions and knew exactly what I needed. She was always two steps ahead and made sure the wedding day went perfectly, which it did! The venue is absolutely beautiful, food was fantastic and the grounds are gorgeous and great for photography. Definitely recommend this place, I wish we could do it all over again because it was so amazing!!!

I had my wedding and reception at Ford's Colony Country Club - it was wonderful! Brittany, the catering/event manager, was with me every step of the way. She would even respond my thousands of emails on her day off!! Thank you, Brittany!! The staff was extremely helpful and considerate, as well as highly efficient the day of.

The only glitch we had was that there was a large holiday display in the lobby when we arrived for our food tasting about two weeks prior, and we were informed it was slated to stay up through our event. We had been told when we booked the venue that there would be holiday decorations up, but that we would have the option to remove them, and were never told about the large display. We had to take our concerns to the Executive Chef and Country Club Manager in order to get it removed, because we had planned to take many of our staged pictures in the lobby, and in that moment, I felt that the Country Club was putting its members' needs above ours.

Overall, though, Ford's Colony Country Club was the perfect venue for our wedding, and everything was wonderful!! And the FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!

Ford’s colony Country Club was well worth the money spent. They were easy to work with and the decor for the reception, ceremony, and rehearsal blew us away. Not only that but they had the most amazing food. It is a bit pricey but in this instance I feel you get what you paid for.

Ford's Colony makes for a gorgeous wedding venue. On the day of the wedding, the staff were very accommodating and were fun to work with. We had a choreographed first dance, which was surprise to our guests, and wanted to do a quick run through on the dance floor after the rehearsal to make sure we wouldn't fall off. The banquet manager quickly put together the dance floor for us to practice.

We booked Ford's Colony about a year and half before the wedding and in that time, the Private Events Director we booked with took a new position at another country club. We had some issues with new Private Events Director as we were leading up to the wedding. Anytime we made a change and were given a new summary of charges, we noticed the taxes were higher than they should have been. She kept telling us it was because the service charge is also taxed, which was never the case before. When I brought that up, she would go back, correct the taxes, and blame the system for the error.

Other than the constant back and forth about the extra taxes, Ford's Colony was a great venue for our wedding and extremely beautiful!

My reception was lovely, the room set up exactly how I wanted. The staff was great, but not on top of things as much as I would have wanted. I would suggest if you don't have a wedding coordinator to have someone who at the beginning of the reception talks to the staff and is clear on the schedule of events you want. The food was okay, not spectacular but not bad. The room made it worth it. I was in the banquet room, it was perfect for dim lighting and candles.

The team at Ford's Colony is great! They took care of everything we asked for, were pleasant and professional, and made sure we were comfortable. The 3.5 stars for responsiveness is for a slight delay in email responses.

We recently celebrated our big day here and it went very well. The event coordinator is extremely helpful and responsive and leading up to the big day everything was great and planning went well. On the actual day we had a few issues on-site but we were able to resolve them with some very helpful wedding guests and things turned out beautifully. The place itself is very pretty and the food was quite good. The waitstaff were very friendly and nice. Ford's Colony was also very flexible with us, which I appreciated. Overall we had a very good experience and I would recommend it.

The managers went above and beyond for us, making sure everything was done to our specification. The staff was professional and a pleasure to work with. The venue was gorgeous in Spring.

Had some issues when I first went to Ford's Colony to reserve my date and it wasn't until Colm Kelly and Brittany Lampe took over. Ran into another snag when we showed up to decorate the day before as well but things were taken care of quickly! The food was EXCELLENT! The stuffed french toast and the salmon were outstanding! Our family and friends had a blast and thought everything was beautiful. Thank you so much Colm and Brittany!!!!

I had a bad experience up until two months before my wedding. Finally, they hired Colm Kelly and a new catering manager to take over for my wedding reception, which had gotten lost in the shuffle and wasn't planned. The managers and staff, after this change, where amazing to work with. We received first class service and the venue (Garden Pavilion) was gorgeous.

This venue was a great location and value, but the staff was very unprofessional and inexperienced. If you use this venue you should definitely have a wedding planner like I did. This was a gorgeous location and the pavilion was large enough to accommodate our large wedding with a dance floor and lounge. I highly recommend this venue if you have a good planner by your side.

My experience with them started off as a nightmare. Right from the start, nobody would call me back. I called and emailed them several times over a course of a couple of months, and nobody responded. I finally went there in person without an appointment to figure out what was going on. They told me that the business had been sold, so there had been a changeover with the director of catering. The new dîrector guaranteed us that it would be better, and agreed to waive some fees, so we decided to move forward. Big mistake. The new director rarely called me back, and it took weeks to get information about one small detail. Over a course of months, I made very little progress on planning because of lack of responsiveness. She responded less and less, and finally not at all. I eventually got an automated email reply from her email saying she no longer worked there, and this was only a couple months before my wedding!! After weeks of hardly any information, I finally found out that they hired a new director. She was much more helpful and knowledgeable. However, there were a lot of bumps, as the former director had given me TONS of incorrect information. I had previously been told that I would be able to change the tables out for round tables, and she now told me that this was not feasible due to space. I finally had to contact a friend who worked at ANOTHER venue, and she drew up plans for the table setup. The wedding day was actually very beautiful, and the food was delicious. Overall it was a success in the end, and everything was how I wanted it, but even the wedding day service was not great. The director never came upstairs to help my friend set up, the staff took away people's food before they were finished, and our guests were never offered a choice of wedding cake flavors (which I requested specifically - even as the bride, I did not get the flavor I wanted). Beautiful setting, great food, nightmarish service.
