Megan is super creative and has a ton of great ideas! She was great at helping me create some signs that I needed for my wedding. I wish I hired her earlier in my wedding planning stage as it would have saved me time and stress! -

She is enthusiastic and creative for positive start. However, she was late to every meeting, had me waiting 30 min up to an hour, disorganized, and unable to meet deadlines, among other things. I am saddened by this because I wanted a planner to take away stress, not add to it. Hopefully she does better because this is not the way you run a business. I just don't understand how a wedding planner can be late every time! I wasn't about to find out day of the wedding if she would be able to be on time. -

I hired a wedding planner in hopes of making the planning process go a little smoother. I had 2 meetings with her and in both meetings, we did not get anything accomplished and left both with a really bad migraine. Megan is very upbeat and responsive in regards to communication however she does not listen well to what you want for your wedding. She had good ideas but she wanted my wedding to look different than what I ultimately wanted. I fired her only after 3 weeks of signing the contract. -

Before hiring Megan I read the other negative reviews and I thought ohh that’s just a few bad experiences. I should have trusted them. Their experience was to a tee my bad experience with Megan. All of the weight was lifted off of my shoulders the day I fired her.
We hired Megan at FYM to do set up, break down & day of coordination. It turned into her trying to replan our wedding which was already done when we hired her. When we hired Megan in May we were done with the dreaming & brainstorming process. We were in the execution phase. Megan did not understand the fact that planning this wedding wasn’t my full time job.
Once we hired Megan, She began asking a million questions and that’s where the constant ideas & brainstorming began. This lead to more stress because she wouldn’t accept what I’d previously decided.
She constantly was bumping up my package to give me more and more free items. She even did my wedding Invitations at no cost, but the time, lack of quality & frustration wasn’t worth the free invites. She wouldn’t take no for an answer when i wanted to order them off of Shutterfly & had already picked out and had them in my cart. She kept finding things that needed to be done & she would beg to take them over at no additional cost In order to control it. There is nothing free in this world and I should have realized that was a huge red flag. She wouldn’t allow me to pay for any of the additional services or items.
These are the many reasons I fired Megan at FYM:
1. Our 1 and only in person meeting she was over 30 minutes late. We were meeting at my wedding venue so that she could do a walk through. Our first in person meeting was overall unprofessional & not productive. The day was very upsetting.
2. She called me & texted me at all times of the day- during business hours while I was working.
3. Every time we spoke it was a continuous conversation of her throwing out all her ideas & not listening.
4. The lack of listening was frustrating because she never seemed to remember what I had decided on or what I wanted. She only remembered her ideas.
5. She never wanted to take my decision as the final say. This caused constant conversation and over brainstorming which was a waste of time.
Just the thought of how our wedding day could go solidified firing Megan. We made the right decision. She offers the world, but I’m not so sure she ever would have executed. -
