  I did not have any baked goods from Flour until my wedding day. I picked Flour Bakery because of its reputation and I liked the simple elegant design of the wedding cake. We got a 2 titered cake with midnight chocolate cake, one 10 inch midnight chocolate cake and one half-sheet of hazelnut-almond dacquoise. We didn't have the tasting before hand, but we were very confident that the cake would turn out great. The cake looked beautiful with a couple flowers in between the two layers. The cake was delicious! We loved both flavors. They were also very flexible. I was able to change my order 2 weeks before the wedding. Highly recommended!

  YUM YUM YUM I have gone to Flour for years and knew this could be the only place to get my wedding cake and every single guest asked where we got it!

  I can't say enough about the amazing cake(s) we had for our wedding and how awesome it was to work with Sarah at Flour. I have a gluten allergy so cake was difficult, but Flour has some awesome GF offerings. We got the hazelnut almond dacquoise and the triple chocolate mousse cake; the former she was able to decorate in a "bridal" way because GF cakes tend to be heavier and don't lend to stacking. Who cares that I didn't have a tiered cake?! I had the most awesome tasting and hands down most amazing cakes ever...and that's what other people told me! Everyone loved the cakes, I was able to eat it, and it wasn't an insane waste of money, just perfection all around.
  The kicker is too that some people do this freezing some cake to save for the first anniversary...but why do it when I can go to Flour and get fresh slices of those same cakes anytime I want?! I don't care about tradition, I want delicious cake!

  Flour bakery is, first of all, delicious any day. But on my wedding day? I wanted a casual, picnic kind of feel for my Sunday-lunchtime wedding. So we ordered 3 different sandwiches for variety, some quiches, and of course...THE STICKY BUNS! Flour was amazingly accommodating! They cut each sandwich in half and arranged them on perfectly serviceable black platters. They sliced the quiches for me, and the sticky buns, too. Believe fit or not...those quiches went FAST and if I were to do it over again I would order more vegetarian sandwiches (even though only a few people asked for those) and at least another 2 quiches for my 45 person wedding. The sticky buns, let's be serious...they were the most complemented element of the food fare.
  
  Flour did not deliver to my venue, esp. not on a Sunday, but it was no trouble to have a willing groomsman pick up the food. Our hostess service than took over and set everything up.
  
  In the end, the value as FANTASTIC and we added some bowls of chips and two different salads (we made ourselves - much cheaper, even the Flour catering lady suggested we do that) and the food was varied, appreciated...and eaten! With lots of compliments. And if I want something to be remembered about my wedding besides, of course, how beautiful I looked in my dress...I want people to remember that the food was excellent. And since my wedding I've had friends specifically ask us to take them on a lunch date to Flour bakery so they can eat more!
  
  We chose Flour because the bakery means a lot to me and my husband as a couple. We live near one of their locations and often walk there for lunch in the spring, summer, and fall. It was only fitting that, if every other detail of our wedding was going to be thought-out and mean something, the food should, too. And the food value for the price, unbelievable. $500 to feed 40 people even more food than they needed - gourmet, too! :)

  Spectacular cake. Delicious and easy to pick out. They only offer one classic cake style which you'll want to work with your florist to decorate. This worked perfect for us and everyone raved about how delicious the cake was. If you want a low stress experience with delicious cake and no cheesy over the top cake tastings then Flour is for you.

  We decided to go with Flour because we wanted a delicious wedding cake rather than something that looked like a piece of art but tasted yucky. The cake was simple white buttercream frosting, with traditional pearls in between the layers of the cake. We also had fresh flowers added. It looked totally elegant and tasted FABULOUS!

  If you love sweets and live in Boston, you've already been to Flour, and I don't have to convince you that they're amazing. We were thrilled to find out they make wedding cakes. It's clear that of course wedding cakes aren't their main line of business: there's no tasting appointments, no cake consultants, and no elaborate decorations and color schemes. But if your priority is the tastiest cake money can buy, you are absolutely in the right place. We went for carrot cake, lemon raspberry, and hazelnut dacquoise - they also do their midnight chocolate cake for wedding cakes. They are all excellent choices. Yum!

  They do not delivery, nor do they make tiered cakes....so you can not buy a traditional wedding cake. But the actual cake is so delicious that we didn't care.

  I have always loved Flour's cakes, and I knew I had to have one for my wedding. I chose the lemon raspberry cake, which was as delicious as it has always been, and I got lots of compliments from the guests.
  
  I worked with Nicole, who arranged the order and the billing. She was very nice, and made suggestions for sizes and styles based on the number of guests. I ended up going with a two-tier cake (it was a small wedding), but unfortunately Flour did not seem very flexible with decoration. They were willing to add some fresh fruit to the cake to spice it up, but other than that it was very simple white buttercream frosting. This was not a problem for me, and the cake looked lovely and tasted great, but keep it in mind if you're looking for a creative master-piece.
