I cannot sing enough praises for Vicky and Jenny!! I am so so happy I found Refined Beauty Inc. Where to begin...
Makeup by Vicky: First off, I really wanted someone who knew how to do makeup for asian skin tones/faces. I've had bad experiences with makeup artists that struggled with my skin color and eye shape. Vicky is an absolute pro. I was blown away by her ability to mix up the exact shade of my and my bridesmaids' skin! That is pure skill and a testament to her abilities. She did beautiful work on my bridesmaids and they all loved their makeup. Not to mention, Vicky has such a great personality! So down-to-earth and we had a great time chatting and hanging out while getting ready! I wholeheartedly recommend Vicky and her team. My friend and I are seriously considering boking her for makeup lessons so we can attempt to recreate the looks she did for us!
Hair by Jenny: Jenny is so friendly and talented! She created so many different styles for my girls. I struggled with getting my hair just right, and she patiently worked with me to put every strand exactly in place. I got so many compliments on my hair :]. She is also fun and really easy to talk to. Thank you, Jenny, for being so receptive to feedback and making us look gorgeous!

Booking hair and makeup services through Refined Beauty was one of the best decisions I made on my wedding day. April was our makeup artist and Dom was our hair stylist. Vicky was easy to communicate with and everyone was prompt and on time. Everyone that got their hair/makeup done on the day of the wedding looked absolutely incredible. Highly highly recommend! -

Thank you so much to the team at Refined Beauty for making the HMU experience for my wedding so easy and enjoyable! Vicky was responsive and organized logistics between the artists and timeline for my coordinator and myself so seamlessly. Caroline (hair) and Anitra (makeup) were absolutely amazing - not only were they professional, capable, and accommodating, but they took care of a whopping 9 of us in a timely manner on the day of the wedding! It was fun and such a pleasure to work with Caroline and Anitra - they really took care of my ladies and myself by spending time to understand each person, help us feel comfortable, and of course make us look beautiful. Bridal Hair and Makeup
From the moment I requested a quote Vicky was super friendly and helpful with pricing options that matched my budget. I ended up booking a H&M trial as well and got assigned Kerry who is amazingggg!!! Kerry was very professional and friendly, she made the experience during the trial fun and knew exactly what questions to ask for me love my finished look. On the day of my wedding 6/21/25 Kerry did hair for myself and 4 other women, and the assistant did make up for the other women while Kerry did my makeup. Kerry gave us enough time to not feel rushed and also helped with touch ups and even provided me a little baggy of extra lip color, face sponge and qtips. She made me feel so beautiful and helped me feel confident for my big day! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Refined Beauty! Shelby (makeup) and Sarah (hair) were both absolutely incredible. They truly listened to our visions and brought them to life—making them even better than we imagined.
I was looking for a glam makeup look that elevated the makeup I wear every day, and Shelby nailed it. The makeup was flawless, felt like me (just extra special), and it lasted all night long. Sarah worked magic on my hair—it never holds a curl, but she made it not only stay, but look stunning the entire day. I’ve never seen my hair look so good.
Both Shelby and Sarah were kind, professional, and so easy to work with. I felt so confident, beautiful, and completely myself. If you’re considering Refined Beauty—go for it. They’re amazing. -

Vicky and Jenny did an absolutely amazing job on my makeup and hair for my wedding! Both were very responsive to my Pinterest inspo and feedback, making sure that I felt confident. I had a dry patch on my face that I was so worried would look flakey in pictures but Vicky miraculously made my look lasts all day.
My friends referred Refined Beauty to me and now I referred all my friends to them. They made me feel beautiful on my special day! Professional, friendly, and so talented—I couldn’t have asked for a better team. -

Vicky is amazing! My sister found her for her wedding in October 2022...I booked her immediately in early 2023 for my wedding on August 3, 2024. I loved my look for my sister's wedding and wanted something similar but with a 70s flare. Vicky was so excited to do a darker, bolder wedding glam look, compared to her typical requests for soft glam. She absolutely delivered! I will be coming back to Refined Beauty and recommend her any chance I can! Thank you Vicky! -

This is my review for Vicky and Wendy. Vicky (make-up artist) and Wendy (hair stylist) did my bridal trial and day of wedding makeup & hair for me and my bridal party (4 bridesmaids, mother of groom, and mother of bride).
For my hair, it was my fault for cutting it short right before the trial so for the wedding day I actually used hair extensions and that was the best idea ever. I loved my hair so much and it lasted the whole night! The curls were much looser than the trial and I loved that Wendy took that feedback.
Vicky understood exactly what I wanted and learned from the trial that using more voluminous eyelashes on the wedding day would look better on me. Vicky is extremely fast with doing make-up, but she is also very good at it. She made all of us look flawless and natural. In the past, I’ve had my make-up done by other artists and they always make my eyebrows look too thick. I made sure to let Vicky know that and she took that feedback and made sure my eyebrows were the way I liked.
Overall, I would definitely highly recommend Vicky and her team for bridal hair and make-up. They did such a fantastic job for me and my bridal party. I am very very pleased and happy with how everything turned out. My wedding day was a huge success thanks in part to Vicky and Wendy -

Refined Beauty has the best teams! This is my third time getting services from them - the first two were as a bridesmaid and because of the great experience, I booked them for my wedding day. It was definitley a no-brainer since I loved my hair and make up the first couple times and knew they would deliver. I heard a few horror stories from friends of other hair & makeup companies not showing up at all for their weddings, but I knew this wouldn't happen with Refined Beauty.
For my wedding I had Vicky, Wendy, and Karissa - all of them are so nice and are really able to do it all. I let my bridesmaids choose any hair and make up style they wanted and everyone came out looking amazing! My mom, MIL, and husband's sister also got services and they looked great! I love that they listen to what each person wants and helps bring the vision to life. I had a great experience during my hair and makeup trial as well, so I felt good going into my wedding day. My hair and make up lasted all day, but didn't feel heavy - which is important cause I don't usually do full face every day. We also had a change in our timeline, so our morning got pushed up from 8am to 6am(!!). I felt really bad, since it was only about a month out from our wedding date, but Vicky and her team were able to accommodate us and reassured that we would be able to finish on time. Highly recommend and definitely book in advance - they book quickly for good reason! -

Vicky and Jenny did makeup and hair for myself and 8 other people!
They made us all feel so comfortable and we loved our final looks. I highly recommend booking with Refined Beauty.

I don’t usually wear makeup so I was worried I wouldn’t feel like myself, but Vicky worked with me and I loooooveeedd how my makeup turned out. Elegant, but still me ❤️ -

Out of this world!
Refined Beautify assigned Celeste (Celestial Glam) to be my makeup artist, and she did my hair & makeup and also my mom's makeup. I was going for a natural/glowy look, and Celeste nailed it. She was SUPERB, and I can't rave about her enough! I definitely recommend reaching out to her directly for your wedding. -

The best hmua in socal!
Refined Beauty is literally the BEST HMUA team for weddings! From the moment I contacted them to the day of, their communication, friendliness, and expertise was amazing. During my makeup trial, I had a few adjustments that I wanted made and Vicky was so accommodating and friendly. She took her time to ensure I was 100% happy with the outcome. About three months before our wedding, they kindly sent over the timeline for the day of. They were flexible with any adjustments I wanted to make and made it so much easier to plan for the day. On our wedding day, we had 10 total women in our group needing services, so I was worried we needed to start as early as 5AM. We started at 8AM, had a 1 hour gap as we switched locations, and finished with time to spare at 1:30PM. Let me just say, they made me feel SO beautiful. My makeup was perfect with just the right amount of glam to make me feel like a princess but without making me look unrecognizable. My hair was straight out of a movie (thank you Kerry). My girls were also super happy with Julee’s work. The team as a whole is amazing and super talented. I could not recommend them enough! If you’re looking for quality, friendliness, and speed, you found the right team!! -

I had a large bridal party and knew from the start I needed to hire a team who could do both hair and makeup for 11 women. I spent a while searching, comparing pricing, and scouring pictures, as I wanted to pick a team who could make not just myself, but all of my party and our wide range of skin tones feel beautiful. I was also concerned with getting 11 people through in a timely manner, but Vicky created a schedule that made the flow of the morning so easy. I could not be happier with the incredible job that Vicky and her team did. Everyone looked stunning in their own ways, and we had a genuinely great time hanging out with our stylists Vicky, Wendy, Anitra, and Kristin as they glammed us out. Thank you again to Vicky and her team, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone! -

The best!
I've never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day and a huge part of that was my STUNNING hair & makeup. I originally looked at Refined Beauty but they we're booked up for my date. I then booked an individual HMUA who basically ghosted me after I paid my deposit. I reached back out to Refined Beauty and Vicky worked her magic to book me, I was so thankful! I was booked with Kristin for hair and Khloe for makeup and both were incredible. Kristin is literally a hair genius and Khloe is a makeup master! I was really worried about my hair staying all day but it didn't move an inch. And for my makeup, I decided to change it day of and as soon as Khloe handed me the mirror after, I was in tears, everything was so perfect. Thank you all so much ladies!!! -

Incredible Experience
I had the best experience with Refined Beauty throughout the entire process — from booking my services to the day of my wedding.
For my trial hair & makeup, at the last minute, my mom had decided to travel in to help with a few other wedding details and was interested in having a trial done as well. When I asked to see if this was something that they could accommodate, they were quick to adjust. Vicky was our make-up artist and Jenny was our hair stylist. They were both incredible, personable, and experts at what they do. Not only did we love our hair and make-up, but we had such a fun time with them. Felt like catching up with old friends.
For my trial hair and makeup, I decided to do a dress fitting the same day to see how the entire look would come together. My make-up and hair were both gorgeous, but after trying on my dress I realized that my original make up inspiration didn’t really match the aesthetic I was going for with the look of my dress. Afterwards, I gave them feedback and they were very receptive.
On the day of my wedding, Vicky easily made adjustments to what I was looking for. I was blown away with my final look and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Additionally, they did services for all my bridesmaids (4), MOB, and MOG, and each one of them told me that this was the best make-up and hair they’ve had done for a wedding.
As everyone knows, the day-of can be quite hectic with everything that needs to be done. Vicky and Jenny, were efficient at getting through our schedule without missing a detail. We had a few things go off track that needed my attention and they were so calm, flexible, and able to quickly adjust to keep us on schedule, helping to keep me at ease.
I absolutely loved working with Refined Beauty. Vicky and Jenny were nothing short of incredible. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. -

FIVE STARS. I found Refined Beauty here on Wedding Wire and really loved all their rave reviews, so reached out to see if they had availability to do hair for my August 19, 2023 wedding. I had already booked a MUA but hadn't found anyone for hair that I liked, and it was getting pretty close to my date so I was having anxiety around figuring it out. I had an initial call with Vicky in early June and thought she was great and also found their prices very reasonable. I was nervous that I was cutting it close with my trial which was in July and fairly close to my wedding date (what if it didn't work out, what if I had to start over, etc etc) but Sarah was amazing and I knew I immediately knew I would be in great hands on my wedding day. She did a couple styles for me to see what I liked and it was hard to decide because both were gorgeous! On the day of my wedding my bridesmaids loved her and it was so great having her as part of my special day. They were also super flexible when I had some last minute changes (I had a bridesmaid that wanted to get added, and then my mom decided to opt out of hair) but Vicky is awesome and was really understanding. Highly recommend!! -

Kerry and Julee were amazing to work with. Kerry did my bridal hair and makeup on wedding day. She made sure everything looked perfect to what I envisioned when we did our wedding trial makeup. She had great energy and was so easy to talk to. Our makeup and hair lasted all day without being so cakey which was important to me. Julee was patient and listed to my bridal party needs when doing their makeup. I loved both of them and would hire them again in a heartbeat! I had an amazing experience with Refined Beauty, especially with Vicky and Julee. Vicky was very prompt and responsive to all my emails, and they were very understanding when there were delays with our wedding when I was diagnosed with cancer. I was worried I would not look very good after going through chemo and losing all my hair, but I still felt beautiful after Julee did a great job styling my wig and using makeup to hide the redness on my skin :).
I liked that the makeup they applied was more natural looking (I have seen other places that have applied caked on/heavy looking makeup but this was not the case at all). Julee and the rest of the team arrived on time for both the trials on the wedding day and promptly got to work. They also did a great job on hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and the rest of the wedding party. Their prices are also very reasonable, and I got a lot of compliments on my hair and makeup from our wedding guests. I would definitely recommend them! -

Vicky was amazing from day 1! When I first reached out, Vicky was quick to respond and answered all my questions. Fast forward to trial day, she was super friendly, easy to talk to, and listened to what I wanted. I’ve never tried a soft glam look so I asked for that at my trial. Afterwards, I realized I liked more of a Smokey eye look, although the soft glam was done beautifully and flawlessly! I also told her I wanted fuller lashes and thinner brows on wedding day.
Fast forward another few months to wedding day, Vicky came with such great energy and really delivered! She remembered all the little details of what I wanted back from when I told her after the trial, and made me look PERFECT. I have never felt more beautiful in my life. My makeup stayed on ALL NIGHT, my skin looked seriously flawless, and I looked absolutely radiant all night. My 6 bridesmaids also looked so beautiful, and she nailed the look that each one wanted to a tee. We had a range of skin tones and shades and she did an excellent job color matching everyone and choosing complimenting lip colors.
Overall, I would 100% recommend Vicky and team to anyone looking for bridal makeup!! Not only was the service exemplary, she is also extremely friendly, funny, easy to talk to, and has just been such a pleasure to work with! THANK YOU VICKY ❤️ -

As a bride-to-be who basically never wears makeup (maybe eyebrows and mascara once a month), I was nervous to have my makeup done for my wedding. However, my friends who had weddings before mine all espoused having their makeup professionally done as it looked so much better in photos. And so I began my search for a makeup artist who would be able to translate my vague ideas into something beautiful and comfortable. As an Asian-American, I also had apprehension regarding my hair and having it done - my hair notoriously prefers to be straight and not hold a curl. I was nervous that my hair vision might not hold up throughout the wedding, so I was really looking for someone who has a lot of experience with Asian hair (and skin tones/facial features).
My day-of-coordinator recommended Kerry Vo when I described to her my apprehensions and desire for someone familiar with Asian skin and hair. And oh man, I am so grateful she recommended her and that Kerry was free for my wedding day! I went through Refined Beauty Inc and let Vicky know that I was interested in hiring them if they were available for my wedding date, but did want to make sure Kerry was available as well. Luckily, she was! I was able to have my hair and makeup trial done a few months out from my wedding in Kerry’s studio in Temecula and was super pleased with the results. I showed her the inspiration photos I had gathered and explained the look I was going for in rather vague terms - I had difficulty putting what I wanted into proper words. But, she was able to translate my muddled descriptions and create a makeup look that was absolutely incredible! It was the most makeup I had ever had on my face, but it really didn’t feel like a lot at all! And for my hair, she showed me two looks (given my inspo photos) - one ponytail and one updo.
On the actual wedding day, there were to be a total of five of us ladies getting our hair and makeup done. Khloe was the other artist who came and she did the makeup for the rest of the group, while Kerry did their hair. I had Kerry for both hair and makeup, just like for my trial. And after having my trial, there were a few minor tweaks I wanted to do. Kerry was able to easily make those adjustments to perfection - for example, I wanted to go a little higher with the ponytail and a little more glam on the eyelids. It was all such a breeze and every one of the ladies loved their final results!
Honestly, I had never felt so beautiful and confident - and that was in large part to Kerry’s magic. My hair and makeup withstood the entire day - my hair kept its beautiful wave and my makeup didn’t smear or fade away. Kerry always made me feel comfortable and relaxed during both the trial and the wedding day. I highly recommend Refined Beauty and especially Kerry for their amazing work!

From the moment I sent in an inquiry, working with Refined Beauty was a fantastic experience. Vicky was always prompt in communication and happy to answer any questions I had. My mom had never had her makeup done professionally before so we booked a trial session for her at the same time as mine, and we both loved how it turned out. We went to Kerry's hair studio in Temecula and made a fun little wine tasting trip out of it + got to see how the makeup and hair stood up in 90 degree heat while drinking wine (it was perfect all day!). On the wedding day, my bridesmaids, mother-in-law, mom, and I all loved our hair and makeup. Our hair looked amazing and lasted all night thanks to Kerry, and Vicky's makeup highlighted everyone's natural beauty (all different skin tones, eye colors, etc.) while still looking cohesive. We were also totally on time (maybe even a little early) with hair and makeup, which is essential. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Refined Beauty! -

The best! - hmu flawless
Vicky and Kerry were my morning rock stars! I had a minor freak out about a week before the wedding realizing we couldn’t get into our bridal suite with enough time to get hair and makeup done and that was one thing I didn’t want to rush. Vicky called me, calmed my nerves and made sure to be at our hotel bright and early. She set up and made me and my girls feel like a million bucks (as they say)! Everyone looked incredible and we were done just in time to head to the venue! They became part of our bridal party and getting ready crew. Laughing with us, talking and gossiping with us! It was just so fun and took so much stress off the morning!
Before the wedding, Kerry came all the way to my house in LA to get me ready in just an hour for our engagement pictures and the hair and makeup came out perfectly! When I went to the studio for my trial, Kerry and Vicky were waiting for me and we were hanging out and getting everything ready in only an hour and a half! They made suggestions based on the style I was going for and the hairstyle I was thinking based on my dress and everything came out PERFECT!
Hire these girls because they not only make you feel fabulous but you’ll look it too! Love love love refined beauty!

I genuinely can’t say enough good things about Refined Beauty Inc.! Throughout the entire process (H&MU trial & leading up to the wedding day) , Vicky was so communicative, thorough, professional & enjoyable to work with (as was the rest of the team!). I had booked quite a few services for the wedding day (hair & makeup for 7 bridesmaids + 2 moms + myself) so we had 2 hair stylists and 2 makeup artists. The entire day-of process was completely seamless, stress-free & fun, and everyone looked amazing! If you’re looking for a hair & makeup vendor for your wedding, look no further! Vicky and her team were one of my favorite vendors to work with! We met several times before our wedding day, each location different, and without any hassle she made it easy coming to me. The first was for my engagement photoshoot. The second was with my moms to do a trial for them. The third at my bachelorette party for my wedding day trial. The final time for my wedding which she came with a team of 3 others to do my 9 bridesmaids and mom. Each girl turned out so beautiful and were very happy with their look. I gave my bridesmaids the option and their combined discounted price point for both hair and makeup also made it easy for them to decide to have the professionals do it. I never had a moment of feeling nervous, uncomfortable, or dissatisfied and instead absolutely beautiful and in love with how it turned out every time. I also got beaded extensions and they worked around them with no issues. I can’t say enough positive things about Refined Beauty. Hire Vicky and her team if you are looking for someone hardworking, trustworthy, efficient, and fabulous at what they do! I only wish I lived in CA to have her do my makeup anytime I need her! -

I had the best experience with Refined Beauty! From my initial inquiry to the day of my wedding they were super communicative and easy to work with. Vicky, the manager reached out to me quickly after I submitted my request for more information and we scheduled a call that week to talk about what I was looking for and what they provided. I booked them right away! I had a big group of 10 girls total to have both hair and make-up done the morning of the wedding. They sent 4 artists (2 hair and 2 makeup) and all were amazing! They were on time, efficient, and made sure everyone was ready on time and looked amazing! Olivia and Jenny were my artists and they were both so great! They asked a lot of questions to help me figure out exactly what I wanted. I ended up changing my hair from what I did at the trial on the day of and Jenny was able to work her magic and make it beautiful! I would definitely recommend Refined Beauty for your wedding day. Refined Beauty, run by Vicky, was one of my favorite vendors. Vicky did my make up, and her colleague and her split between my bridesmaids (and mom). The quality of work was AWESOME. I still use the strip eyelashes she used that day. Everything stayed on my face all day with no sweat or oil issues at all. When I showed Vicki a picture of the amount of glitter I wanted on my eyelids, she totally listened to me and provided the exact look i was a going for. I would tell anyone and everyone to hire them, 100%. -

Refined Beauty is absolutely the best! My wedding was originally in 2020 and I had done a hair and makeup trial with Kerry and loved the results. I do not wear makeup on a daily basis so really had no idea what to expect and was worried about not looking like myself or having too much makeup applied. None of those worries became reality, and the soft glam look Kerry provided was perfect.
Due to the pandemic, my wedding was actually postponed by two years and finally just happened two weeks ago. The rebooking process was very smooth with Refined Beauty, and they actually stuck with me through not one, not two, but THREE postponements until my final date on 4/16/22. I truly appreciate all their flexibility! Kerry was not available for my new wedding date, so I ended up working with Vicky (makeup) and Stephanie (hair) instead, who were both equally as fantastic. They arrived at the venue promptly to set up, and they stayed on schedule with their work (and actually were ahead of schedule; the bridal party appreciated the extra down time to relax in the morning). I have never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day, and I received many compliments for my hair and makeup, both of which lasted through the entire day. My bridesmaids also loved their makeovers and we all had a great time chatting with Vicky and Stephanie while getting ready. Not only did the makeup last, but it was also surprisingly easy to remove at the end of the night after the wedding. I was worried about removing it since I didn't bring any makeup remover with me, but a little water and soap was all I needed.

Wedding day hair and makeup 💕
My wedding was on December 10 2021 and I was most nervous about my hair and makeup. I didn’t need to be worried at all, however, because Refined Beauty (specifically Vicky and Carrie) made both myself and my bridesmaids feel gorgeous.
They are absolute professionals- they listened to my vision and delivered something that exceeded my expectations. I switched my hairstyle plan the day of, and Carrie gave me the exact updo I dreamed of. I really wanted a natural, glowing look for everyone, and Carrie and Vicky absolutely delivered. Natural and effortless makeup
It was such a pleasure working with Refined Beauty for our wedding. If there was one thing I would say about their makeup “style” I would definitely say natural beauty. They made me and my bridesmaids look so natural and beautiful - the makeup overall looked minimal and effortless. It didn’t feel cakey or packed on. They were also very flexible in allowing us to use our own foundation, lipstick, or blush if we preferred. In regards to their hair services, they were able to style our hair just by the pictures we showed them. Each bridesmaid had their own hairstyle preference and they were super flexible with that too. They also did such an excellent job putting flowers in our hair from the baby’s breath we had and it stayed on throughout the entire wedding. I found Vicky after I had a horrible experience with another wedding makeup artist and I am so amazed by her skills, talent and professionalism that I would continue to book her for any special events I have! She came all the way to my house for my bridal trial and we immediately connected while she performed magic on my face! I had previously done makeup before for editorial shoots, so I was looking for someone who could do makeup on myself better than I could and she exceeded all my expectations. I also have facial scarring that she was able to cover up really well.
On the actual wedding day, Vicky and Stephanie (the hair stylist) were on time and so quick with the makeup, while having both look perfect on my mother and the whole bridal party. Stephanie is super gentle, which was really relaxing for a bride and Vicky again blew my mind away once I saw the finished result! Please book her, you will be soooo happy! -

I had my wedding in April 2021 and all I can say is that I made one of the best decisions to choose Refined Beauty to be part of my big day. I was very nervous on choosing a hair/makeup vendor because I never had a good experience with makeup/hair artist. Thats only because my skin tone is really hard to match and compliment AND my HAPA (Asian/white) eyes are also very hard to work with. Refined beauty assigned Kerry to be my stylist. Kerry came to my place for a trial and we vibed instantly. I felt as if she was my high school friend that was visiting me. This is HOW COMFORTABLE i was with her. I was able to communicate and tell her exactly what I wanted to go for. Fast forward to the big day, Kerry was at our venue early and was super accommodating. My overall look was even better than I expected and my hair (oh my gosh) looked straight out of a boho wedding magazine. I also had a small SHOULDER TATTOO (1 inch) that I wanted to cover up and she did a great job on that too. It did not show up on the photos :) My makeup and hair lasted the WHOLE NIGHT too! I was dancing and sweating and yet i still looked great! :) As much as I have glowing comments about Kerry, the whole Refined beauty team is just ABSOLUTELY amazing. Vikki responded to my emails immediately and trust me… I bothered her a lot because I had indecisive family members that couldn’t make up their minds to receive hair/makeup services. Vikki NEVER made me feel bad about changing my services and she was very sweet during the entire process. I never met her, but i bet she is a lovely person. We eloped last year but celebrated our wedding this June 2021 with our family and friends (original date was June 2020). I had a bridal trial with Vicky and Wendy right before the pandemic happened. The bridal trial was amazing! I'm pretty shy but was really comfortable around Vicky and Wendy. They listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions too. I really loved how they made me look and feel and hired them instantly! When we decided to postpone our wedding I contacted all my vendors and Vicky did an awesome job communicating with me through email and making sure to secure our new date with the same artist and stylist over a year in advance.
A couple days before our wedding day, Vicky contacted me to go over logistics and what to expect on the day of. On the actual day, Vicky and Wendy showed up right on cue and got right down to business! I had 2 bridesmaids and our moms getting hair and make-up done and all of them loved how they looked and felt. My sister, who is a little picky about her make-up even told me she would hire them if/when she gets married!
As for me, I absolutely loved my hair and make-up. Vicky and Wendy both remembered my vision from the bridal trial and I thought that was really nice. The bridal trial was amazing, but the day of was a step up from that! It was kinda crazy to me because I looked great but didn't feel like my make-up was piled on and the false lashes Vicky used didn't feel heavy or weighted down at all. Wendy did my hair exactly as I wanted it to look and I didn't even show her a reference picture on the day of. My hair and make-up lasted all night too! All the guests kept complimenting and saying how good I looked. I'm sure they always say that to the bride, but for some reason I felt they meant it haha.
Overall, excellent communication and amazing work. They are such sweet people and will make you look and feel so, so beautiful. I'm already recommending them to all my friends. :) -

We had Julee and Sebby for my wedding on 5/30/21. I was the bride and only had Julee work on me and she did AMAZING! She was SO kind, attentive and is so great at her craft. She made me feel sooo beautiful that day and my make up and hair literally lasted all day/night. My girls who worked with Julee said she was a pleasure to work with. I applaud Sebby and Julee because there was some confusion about meet up time with the venue manager and the venue wasn't open for them to enter! Not only were they on time (7:30am!) but they handled this situation so gracefully and they still were amazing with time management and getting myself and my girls ready on time. We all looked BEAUTIFUL :)
Vicky was also a pleasure to work with, she was helping me book the artists for my day and even with a couple last minute changes she figured everything out smoothly! She responded in a timely manner and was so helpful and kind!

Vicky and Stephanie were amazing for my small COVID wedding! First, they were so responsive, especially for how last minute I booked them. They sent me a schedule that was better than what I planned. They made sure they had enough time for my bridal party, mothers, and myself. We weren't stressed about time, which made my life easier. My makeup was so pretty and lasted me all night. My hair is naturally thick, curly, and frizzy. Stephanie really knew how to work with my hair and it came out so nice!
As for COVID safety, they were great. They wore masks the entire time, and made sure that we were all were feeling well before booking with them.

Vicky and Kerry are the best team to work with!! When the pandemic hit, it was extremely difficult to plan a 2020 wedding. While browsing their website, I utilized their chat feature to ask a quick question and Vicky was lightning fast to respond! She is very attentive and super sweet. Even with the uncertainty of the pandemic, Vicky made booking my wedding super easy and stress free, even when my bridesmaids made a last minute decision to add make up and hair services and when we had to relocate three times because of COVID-19 and the wildfires.
Kerry did hair and makeup for myself and 2 other bridesmaids. I love that she went above and beyond with us by being available to travel for us when we ended up deciding on a microwedding out of town, AND also being down to do our hair at makeup starting at 3AM because of our early wedding! That showed a lot of dedication and passion for her clients and she was also super friendly. Kerry was able to execute any style we wanted as well! She also listened to my skin concerns and was able to make me feel beautiful and comfortable. On top of that, our hair and makeup lasted through the entire day, even after tears of joy during the wedding and also sneaking in a little nap!

Refined Beauty was the hair and makeup vendor that I wanted to go with when I first starting planning in Fall 2019 for my wedding in November 2020. When COVID-19 hit and everything became uncertain, they were so accommodating and flexible with scheduling. We changed plans several times and we decided to have an elopement ceremony in place of the actual wedding. We changed my trial on 10/3 to special event hair and makeup since my friends were holding a virtual bachelorette party and I wanted to get glammed up.
When Vicky and Stephanie arrived, they were so friendly and easy to talk to! We reviewed my inspiration photos together and we selected a full glam makeup look and the prettiest boho hairstyle. Vicky listened to my skin concerns and goals and my makeup held on the entire day perfectly! Stephanie was so talented with my hairstyle and she pinned my hair vine in and it also lasted the entire day!
I felt so comfortable chatting with both of them and we definitely shared many laughs over the 2-ish hours that we spent together. You can tell they both truly love what they do! They are both the sweetest stylists and I really hope to work with both of them again for any future events! -

Awesomely pleasant experience
Part 1 - Trial Appointment
When I first met Flora at my initial wedding makeup trial I was a bit nervous but her soothing and calm demeanor made me feel secure. We went over what styles of makeup I was interested in , and was very honest in her abilities. When getting the makeup started we began learn about each-other , she is really easy to talk to and again she has a very calm voice that make me feel calm, which for the wedding was key in keeping my cool. My makeup was stunning that I booked her right away for my wedding. I would recommend Refined Beauty to anyone. My makeup trial was amazing and she is easy to get along with. I also did hair which was amazing and stunning. Thank you Flora.
Part 2: Wedding Day Makeup and Hair
When I the day started I woke up a little nervous but when Flora arrived to my hotel she made me feel calm and re-assured me that we would have more than enough time to do myself, my mother one of my bridesmaids. My mother was first she is 56 years young and she loved her makeup and hair she knows how to work with mature skin and did a perfect job improving her wrinkles and made her feel beautiful my mother also loved her hair . Then it was myself with my makeup Flora really knows how to read people and know when to give helpful advice. Flora told me to breath and gave me relaxing techniques that I really needed at the time. If you are looking for a makeup artist that will help aid in making you feel good inside and out this is your girl. I loved my hair it did stay all night and my makeup stayed all night until the honeymoon suite. My bridesmaid was last and I loved that Flora knew how to work with dark skin tone and made my friend look beautiful. Flora brought all her professional makeup supplies and stayed for makeup re-touches and photos at the end. I recently hired Refined beauty to do my hair and make up while traveling to San Diego for a wedding weekend. Flora, the owner of Refined beauty showed up for both days that I had booked her and exceeded my expectations. I've never felt more beautiful and I was just a guest attending. Kerry was lovely to work with from Redefined Beauty. She is incredible at makeup and was patient with me throughout the process, allowing me to make edits and be honest when I wanted something adjusted. Refined Beauty is the best!
Kerry and the Refined Beauty team were amazing! I wanted to have a natural glam look with airbrush, and Kerry definitely delivered. Being Filipina, I know from experience that not all makeup artists know how to do makeup for Asian faces, so I did my research to find artists who knew what to do. Refined Beauty was the best of the bunch!
Kerry and her partner did the makeup for 6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and 2 sisters. I was nervous we would be cutting the timeline close, but these talented artists made it all happen. They even gave us all little touch-up packages to touch up our makeup throughout the day. They were so fun to be with the day-of, and helped keep the morning stress-free.
Some tips for brides: Ask your MUA to stay after you've opened a present or read a letter from your soon-to-be husband and do a makeup trial before the wedding so that you can purchase the lipcolor ahead of time! I did do the makeup trial but didn't think ahead enough to buy the lip color Kerry used on me. She mixed two colors to make a unique one so I couldn't find one similar at any of the stores I went to. I also cried a ton when I read my husband's letter, and wish that I had asked Kerry to stay to touch me up. Still, the makeup stayed, despite all my tears!
I would highly recommend Refined Beauty! They are super professional, friendly, and affordable for the quality of service they provide. -

Flora is such a sweetheart, she was so easy to talk to and to communicate what look I want, she did an amazing job. The makeup lasted a whole day, even though it was so hot and humid the make up stayed on point through out the party. I am so glad that she was available for my big day, because I am one happy bride.
