If you are looking for a wonderful wedding planner/coordinator, my husband and I highly recommend Finishing Touch LLC. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding, and we owe so much of that to Sandra and her incredible team (Kandis and Nicole). From the moment we met 13 months prior to our wedding, we knew we were in good hands with Sandra. Her warmth, professionalism, easy going personality and exceptional attention to detail immediately put us at ease during what could have been a very stressful time.
Sandra took the time to really understand our vision for the day, and she went above and beyond to bring my Pinterest boards to life. From providing a list of wonderful trustworthy vendors (photographers, videographers, florist), to managing the setup, the timeline and schedule for us - we are so grateful to have Finishing Touch for all these aspects to make our wedding flawlessly executed. She guided us through every step of the planning process with patience and grace, always offering valuable advice and solutions to any challenges that arose (especially when our venue coordinator went on medical leave and had a temp. coordinator step in). Planning a destination wedding in North Shore, Oahu from Seattle, Washington was not challenging with Sandra. Our meetings were very thorough and productive. She always ensured we had plenty of time to make decisions and always cautioned us if she found anything troubling. We really respect for honesty and dedication to making sure we come first.
On the day of the wedding, Sandra and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that everything ran smoothly (rain or shine!) They handled every detail with precision and professionalism, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy our special day as much as we could. We are so grateful for her expertise, dedication, and genuine care throughout the entire process. Above and Beyond!
My wife and I worked with Finishing Touch for our wedding in March 2024. I can't say enough great things about the quality of work and expertise Sandra and her team had from start to finish.
One of the most remarkable aspects of our experience was the impeccable organization and coordination. Every element of our wedding, from the food vendor to the floral arrangements, was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed.
During the wedding day I didn't even have to think, Sandra and her team had everything outlined and prepared. There was a moment where we sat down at our Sweetheart table to start the main reception and I had a thought, "I need to head to the bar to get myself and wife a drink." Right at the end of that thought I had one of her staff deliver us our plates of dinner along and asked what drinks we wanted. Within what felt like seconds our cocktails magically appeared. I know it's small but at that moment we felt pretty darn spoiled and taken care of.
Because Sandra and her team were so attentive it really allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our Big Day.
Also big shout out to Sandra for helping us resolve a small family situation. We had a service drop off our Chinese Grandma (94 years old) but they dropped her off like 45 mins early at the venue while we were taking pictures elsewhere. Grandma was with a family member who doesn't speak Cantonese so they were both confused on what to do and where to go. Sandra rushed over to them and spoke to Grandma in Cantonese and handled the situation. That's the level of care you'll get from Finishing Touch.

My husband and I got married in March 2024 on Oahu and Sandra and her team at Finishing Touch helped us plan the perfect welcome dinner and wedding! From the start we were impressed with Sandra’s professionalism, expertise and calming presence. Neither of us have any experience with event planning, let alone planning a destination wedding(!!), but Sandra and team made everything easy and FUN. They took our vision for the wedding and made it even better than we could have imagined. They recommended the BEST vendors and helped us coordinate with all of them both prior to the wedding and day of, which was a huge help. Many of my bridesmaids commented on how this was the most organized and relaxed wedding they were a part of and that is all thanks to Sandra! We cannot thank Finishing Touch enough and now that our wedding is over I will genuinely miss our interactions with Sandra and her team. If you are planning a wedding in Hawaii the first thing you should do is hire Finishing Touch! -

Truly the Best
Throughout our entire wedding process, my husband and I kept saying Sandra was the best decision we made. We found Sandra by researching online but realized that she had done two different weddings of people that we know in Asia. Our Hawaii wedding was a destination wedding for us and we started planning one year out, so we interacted with Sandra over a twelve month period over many emails and Zoom calls. Sandra and Kandis were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I really don't know what we would've done without Finishing Touch. A couple of things that really stood out:
They got my vision completely and tried to work within our budget. I liked that Sandra wasn't pushy with anything. I never felt like she was trying to make me spend more than I wanted. She was extremely responsive (I had heard horror stories of planners in Italy for example not responding to emails for an entire month). She was very thorough in answering all of our questions and always provided alternative options/solutions. She is also very detail oriented so I never had to worry that anything would fall through the cracks.
They are process-oriented, which I appreciated. Given our planning process was a year-long, I liked how there was a rough timeline, i.e. there were certain decisions that could be made early on but there were also certain things that had to wait closer to the date. Sandra made sure we hit all those milestones and got all the prep work done in a timely manner. I really appreciated the questionnaires she made us fill out as it really helped nail down a lot of the details, especially things that I hadn't thought about.
Their execution on the day of was flawless. I've been to weddings where I've seen the bride stressed out on the day of her wedding. I was determined not to be like that and Sandra and her team made that possible. I didn't have to worry about a single thing and the entire schedule ran smoothly. It was truly stress-free and that was all possible thanks to Finishing Touch.
Lastly, the vendors she recommended were all excellent. I was skeptical about a few since we hadn't done a trial with some of them, i.e. we hadn't really heard the band sing live before, but we were blown away by all the vendors. They were all excellent and you could tell that they've worked with Finishing Touch many times before. We received so many compliments on our wedding and you can see from the photos how beautiful it was!
Finishing Touch is really worth every penny, especially if you are looking to do a destination wedding. I enjoyed working with Sandra and her team so much and highly highly recommend her to anyone looking for a planner in Hawaii! -

Amazing team and experience!!!!
Planning our wedding with Finishing Touch was the best decision we could have made! Planning a destination wedding can be very stressful, but Sandra and her team made the whole process seamless. Sandra’s attention to detail, prompt communication, and great design style are just a few of her best attributes!
The rest of the team is just as amazing. Kandis and Lei assisted me throughout the entire planning process—reaching out to vendors, organizing invoices, and keeping track of deadlines. Nicole was my day-of coordinator, and she was so sweet and helpful!
Sandra and her team truly have that “finishing touch” that sets them apart. -

Best investment
Choosing a wedding planner that you have never met and entrusting in that person to bring your ideas to light is such a huge commitment. But I am so happy that I found her and trusted my gut!
My husband and I from California so we opted for Sandra's full year wedding planning services, and it was the best decision we could have made. It was the best investment. Sandra was not only professional but also incredibly friendly throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond by arranging in-person meetings when we were in town for vacation, allowing us to discuss every detail face-to-face. Additionally, she coordinated food tastings during our visits, making the experience even more delightful.
Sandra's level of organization and ease of collaboration were truly commendable. Her attention to detail ensured that every aspect of our wedding was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. On the day of our wedding, I was amazed at how stress-free and relaxed I felt. It was evident that Sandra and her team had everything under control, allowing my husband and I to truly enjoy our special day.
Not only did Sandra exceed our expectations in terms of organization and execution, but she also demonstrated a genuine passion for her work. Finishing touch is professional and experienced. They have a streamlined process that makes your wedding planning much easier and make your dream wedding come true, They provided me with the best choices for wedding venues and vendors. I am satisfied with all my wedding vendors they recommended such as food,florist,photographer, videographer, musician, DJ, makeup and hair stylist and so on. Because of them, my wedding day is so perfect.
Sandra has good taste and listen to my style and needs. She is patient and detailed oriented. She makes sure my wedding decoration looks exactly like how I wanted. The whole team is very skillful and experienced. It makes my wedding day goes so smooth and make me feel relaxed and can truly enjoy my own wedding.

Best Decision Ever!
I am not sure where to even begin at how much joy and happiness filled my year during the entire wedding process. I wish I could relive the year of 2022 all over again up until my wedding day. I can honestly say It was literally the best day of my life. Every single detail was exactly what I envisioned my day would be and it was all thanks to the Finishing Touch team. I knew I wanted Sandra and her team to be my wedding planner when I stumbled upon her page while strolling through Instagram photos of weddings in Hawaii. After our initial consult, I could already feel the warmth of Sandra’s personality through zoom and I was so confident with the decision that I found the perfect wedding planner. I am proud to say I was never one of those bride’s that had any type of stress during the entire wedding planning process. Sandra was always a email/text away with any concerns or last minute changes that I requested. She will cater to your vision according to your budget as well so that is not something you have to worry about. I know wedding planners are not cheap but I can reassure you that it is worth every penny, especially with the Finishing Touch Team. My advice is to get a wedding planner and you can always budget on other things with your wedding. She is very detailed and clear on every deadline and information that she needs from you to have the perfect set up. I received so many compliments from all my guests and family on how much they enjoyed my wedding and even the smallest details really impressed the guests. I really am thankful that I got to have Finishing Touch as part of our day and I am forever grateful for them. I would recommend them 10000% if you want to have the wedding of your dreams! -

Exceeded our expectations!
When our daughter and her fiancé decided they wanted to have a Hawaiian wedding with us living in the Southeast, we knew we had to have an excellent, local, wedding planner. I recieved some recommendations from a resort on Oahu. It was in the height of covid, but only 2 out of the 10 people I called returned my call. One of the two was Sandra of Finishing Touch. Based on a brief phone call, we decided to take a risk and hire Sandra.
Sandra and her team exceeded our expectations! Neither my daughter nor myself have Pinterest or had any dream wedding ideas. Because of our lack of input, we made Sandra's job so much harder, although she never complained. We were not able to visit the site, taste the food, meet the hair and makeup person, photographer, hear the band in person, etc. We had to trust Sandra's advice.
We were blown away by every choice she made. The hair and makeup girl (Mai Tokioka) made us all the very best versions of ourselves. We had the most relaxing day getting ready because of her! Sandra had everything and everyone perfectly timed. Everyone reached out to us; we didn't have to worry about anything. The photographer and videographers made everyone feel comfortable. The venue was perfectly beautiful. The flowers were the most beautiful flowers we had ever seen. The food was divine. The staff was so professional and attentive and the band was AMAZING! Everyone who attended said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! We could not have been happier!
Sandra is professional, detail oriented, very knowledgeable, and a calm and calming person. She knows Hawaiian venues and the vendors. We had a few things happen that we were concerned about (truly acts of God) and Sandra calmed us down and had the perfect solution. We cannot recommend Sandra and Lei of Finishing Touch more highly!

We were so lucky to have Sandra / Finishing Touch as our wedding planner! We wanted to do a small destination wedding in one of the most beautiful venues in Oahu (Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute), which has an amazing view but needs planning for everything (equipment rental, set up / breakdown, catering, live band, etc., literally everything).
Sandra made all of it possible and the planning was so stress-free. She works with top-notch vendors and sent us a comprehensive list to consider, which covered all aspects of the wedding. We did not know anything about wedding planning and didn't really do any homework before (except for finding a great planner :D). From there, everything just comes together so naturally. She has a great taste and worked with us on designing the wedding, and we just need to describe the vibe / theme and she would then come up with amazing proposals. We didn't need to hand pick every little thing to make sure it is perfect, because everything she recommends and puts together is already fantastic. I can't say enough how amazing and professional she is, and how stress-free our planning process has been. It is so important to work with someone that you can trust, especially when it comes to destination wedding. We flew into Hawaii 1 week in advance and saw the venue for the first time the day before our wedding, and then everything just turned out so perfect on our big day. No surprises, just a great day. All of our guests raved about the design and the details of our wedding, and they all asked about how I find such a great planner.
You can always count on Sandra / Finishing Touch and they will help you plan your perfect wedding / event. Whether you already know what kind of a wedding you want or know nothing beforehand like us, your big day will be amazing as Sandra will make it happen. -

My friend recommended Finishing Touch to me and I am soooo happy I listened to her. Sandra and her team are absolutely amazing at what they do. She is super friendly and easy to talk to / work with, which made the whole planning process a breeze.
We had begun our planning Dec 2019 for a March 2021 wedding, but as we all know covid hit. Although we didn't get our big celebration in 2021, she still offered some help for our mini backyard wedding by keeping me in communication with some of the vendors that I still wanted to use for our mini celebration. Also I just want to add in what a challenge it must've been for them to plan all these weddings during covid due to all the rollercoaster of changes in regulations that needed to be followed. But they continued to keep us in high spirits and were so organized in keeping us updated and moving our wedding date with the vendors. I didn't even have to do anything, but tell her which new date I wanted to postpone to!
And in 2022 that's when we had our dream (second) wedding at Lanikuhonua. There was no way I could have pull off everything they did for a venue that provides nothing, but a big open space with a breathtaking sunset. The amount of details and logistics they had to provide seemed so effortless. Sandra basically asks you what you want for your wedding and makes it 10x better than you could have expected. For example, I didn't even think about how the table setting would be or even look like, she just gathered a dinner menu, our favors, and a name place card from me and she added in a little sprig and had the napkins folded a certain way, she even ordered gold utensils! They truly add in their own little finishing touches and it truly makes all the difference.
One thing that impressed me the most was the behind the scenes action. So we had an open bar and bought all our beverages from Costco and my husband and I thought we knew our guests drink preferences well, but clearly not! Of course they all went for the hard liquor, which we were almost out of before the reception even begun! But here comes Sandra behind the scenes sending one of her team members to make an alcohol run for us so that we wouldn't run out. I was so impressed. And I only found out because my mom told me later about it. Crazy right?! And we all know how important alcohol can be at a wedding, lol.
There really isn't anything bad I can say about Finishing Touch. They are a bit on the pricier side, but in all honesty SO worth it. The amount of planning, designing, and coordination they put into weddings is phenomenal and I would not have had it any other way. On that note, if you want the wedding of your dreams, save yourself some time and hire Sandra and her team! We truly appreciate and are so lucky to have had her. Thank you! -

If you’re having a destination wedding and you’re in need of a coordinator then your search is over. Sandra and her team are amazing at what they do! From start to finish, Finishing Touch planned, designed and executed our dream wedding! We were absolutely blown away with how everything came together and how perfect it was. Our guests still rave about it!
From our first meeting, we felt at ease with Sandra’s calming demeanor. Sandra is very professional, organized and has an amazing network within the industry. She is very respectful, honest and a great listener. You can tell that Sandra has a passion for what she does, as she was just as excited as we were for our planning process and wedding day.
All of the vendor recommendations that Sandra provided were exceptional and professional. She constructed the perfect team for us and we loved every single one of them. She literally has a connection for anything and everything you can imagine.
Our wedding day was seamless. If there was an issue or problem that happened on that day, we did not know about it. Sandra and her team ensured everything ran smoothly and stayed on schedule per the timeline. The team also made sure that the venue was set-up, all venders were on time and smooth transitions between ceremony-cocktail hour-reception. Finishing Touch definitely lived up to previous reviews expressing flawless wedding days!
Side note: Lei and Sandra saved the night when there was a slight issue with my bustle. Together they are the dream team! Thank you so much Sandra, Lei and Finishing Touch. -

This is long overdue - because I didn't have a Wedding Wire account, but I thought about Sandra and her team as I was talking to my friend about her planner. Over a year later, I can't tell you how much having Sandra by my side made all the difference for my wedding that landed right in the middle of COVID, right before another variant... But alas, she helped us navigate it all and we had the perfect wedding.
When planning a wedding, there's already internal factors you're navigating - family, location, etc. and then there are all the external factors that can be unpredictable - for us, it was the pandemic. You need someone who is calm, responsive, but also has the optimism (when you might not) and a great eye for details. That's Sandra. When I was unsure about something, she got back to me really quickly and gave her thoughts. She's well connected and found me an amazing DJ who everyone still talks about today when they mention my wedding. During the wedding, Sandra and her team didn't miss a beat. I made the last min decision to change some songs and Cassandra on her team didn't even flinch and happily made sure the songs were changed. I could go on and on about all the details, but then this would be a four pages long.

Kind, thoughtful and professional
Planning a wedding is stressful. Planning a wedding during Covid with constant evolving regulations and restrictions is a whole other game. Sandra is a totally PRO and handled all these challenges seamlessly for our wedding. She kept us apprised at all times of new regulations to be cognizant of re safety measures along with creative ways to make it feel like a wedding, memorable and special and not a pandemic event. One example is the elegant black velvet cordon rope that was used to divide guests from band. It was required for maintaining social distancing and 10 feet from live music (Covid regulation at time) but worked seamless at wedding were it felt like it was not mandated but an elegant part of the dance floor/band set-up. Sandra is very crafty and knows how to plan a wedding, she has a great list of vendors and people she works with (as well as open to new ones or your own suggestions). She did an exceptional job incorporating culture and various family elements we had, into the wedding without it feeling forced or thrown in. Our family is a blended family in more ways than one, re steps, halves and wholes along with mixes of different culture. I'm Jamaican and my husband Jewish. We had so many different family and culture elements we needed to have tied into wedding. Sandra creatively came up with ways and suggestions on how to incorporate everything tastefully and thoughtfully where everyone (all families) felt included and represented at wedding. Sandra is very thoughtful and caring in handling delicate family situations and finishing touches that make your wedding unique and true to your love story and family. I highly recommend using her. -

Our number one piece of advice to anyone planning a wedding on Oahu is to hire Finishing Touch. We were on the fence about the the expense of a wedding planner (although among those we considered, Sandra was a steal) but we felt that it was necessary given our busy schedules. Little did we know we would be struggling to navigate wedding planning in the midst of the COVID pandemic. Sandra was extraordinarily positive and organized despite all of the changes that needed to be made and kept us calm when emotions were high given the uncertainty of whether or not our wedding would ever happen. She gave us regular updates via zoom meetings and facilitated rescheduling our vendors when we ultimately decided to postpone our wedding. Our final wedding was the third or fourth iteration of our event and she executed it flawlessly and safely with COVID precautions. We cannot speak highly enough of Sandra and her team. She is a joy to work with and we recommend her to anyone planning a wedding. -
