Hiring Fater Fairytale Weddings was single-handedly the best decision my husband and I made for our wedding (aside from marrying each other of course). We knew we wanted at least a day-of coordinator when we booked our venue since it was a large property, and we had only been to one wedding as adults. We stumbled upon Ian & Will at the Madison Wedding Expo and chose them after having a great initial meeting. Out of all the vendors from the Expo they actually responded extremely quick and were knowledgeable and informative when we had no idea where to begin. They gave us a deal on month of since they don’t offer day-of coordinating, and boy was I glad we chose month-of. My husband and I are also quite shy before we get comfortable, but Will and Ian were extremely easy to talk to. We were not nervous to ask them anything even if it seemed like a no-brainer question. They had super reasonable pricing and they never charged us for extra meetings, phone calls, or texts. We had a group text going and could ask them for vendor recommendations, decor questions, or advice on timelines at any time and they would respond quicker than most of our wedding party. Once the month of was finally here, they took care of all communication between vendors and the venue, which took such a huge load off of us. They even picked up our wedding cake from Madison Sourdough and transported it to the venue since we would be at the venue (roughly 2 hrs from Madison) the night before for the rehearsal dinner. Will even ran our rehearsal, which was a welcome surprise. The day of they took care of everything! I didn’t have to lift a finger, everything went on schedule and everyone (including both mothers) loved them! They brought a fully stocked emergency kit, which my bridesmaids used. They had great communication with the photographer and all of our other vendors. We didn’t hire a full service florist, but that was no problem for them, they laid out the fresh greenery perfectly for our table settings. They were so attentive and kind with our wedding party as well. Towards the end of the night they offered to rub one of my bridesmaid’s feet! I unfortunately needed to leave a little earlier, and they drove me and my maid of honor back to our AirBNB. I seriously would never plan a wedding without hiring Will & Ian. They are truly the one vendor I could never find a replacement for. If you want serious princess (and prince) treatment on your wedding day, book these two! It was worth every penny and then some! -

Will and Ian are the best coordinators to work with! As a vendor, they are always organized, strategic, and hard working! They are bringing each couple's vision to life while executing it in a cool, calm manner. I recommend them to all my clients, and when I see their email come through, I know it's going to be a fantastic wedding. Couldn't recommend them more! -

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Will went above and beyond what was expected and was so amazing to work with that I already miss working with him. I had hired a previous planning company who had let us down and quit a month before our wedding. Will heard what happened and made himself available to help us in our dire need. We hired him for month of coordination and he picked everything right up and I went from worrying about everything to worrying about nothing. In that last month he coordinated all of my vendors and made sure all those last little details were tied up nicely, and did it with such speed and precision that things were done before I even thought of them. He absolutely killed it day of, putting out fires and making sure everything looked amazing and went smoothly. When we noticed a dance floor tile slightly bent upwards at the corner he brought it up to the venue and it was remedied immediately. When the backdrop drapery went up, he stepped in and asked them to set it up in a way that would make the ceremony space more cohesive and scenic in a way that I did not even think of. I was swelling up from mosquito bites during first look photos and he ran to Walgreens to get me creams to help bring down the swelling and itching. He alleviated so much of my stress and advocated for me and supported me every step of the wedding process. Planning a wedding is stressful but Fater Fairytale Weddings truly cares about you and your wedding day and will do everything they can to make sure your day goes smoothly and that you not only enjoy the wedding day but enjoy the process leading up to it. Thank you, Will, for being a real-life fairy godmother! -

I truly don’t know if we can put into words everything Will did to make our wedding day as magical as it was.
From the very beginning, we knew there was no one else we would want standing beside us and officiating our ceremony. Will took the time to truly understand us, our relationship, and our story, and somehow turned all of that into the most beautiful and personal ceremony we could have imagined. He had our friends and family laughing, crying, and feeling every emotion right along with us. Afterward, so many of our guests came up to both us and Will to tell us how beautiful the ceremony was and how perfectly his words captured who we are as a couple.
And that was only one small part of everything he did for us.
In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Will worked closely with all of our vendors to make sure every detail was coordinated and everything would come together seamlessly. By the time our wedding day arrived, we truly didn’t have to worry about a thing. He kept everything moving, worked in every request we threw his way, made sure family members were where they needed to be for photos, cut our cake, and handled countless little details behind the scenes that we probably still don’t even know about. Every one of our vendors loved working with him, and because of everything he did before and during our wedding, we were able to be completely present and enjoy our day instead of worrying about what needed to happen next. We truly didn’t have to lift a finger.
Having known Will for a long time, I’ve seen firsthand the amount of time, thought, dedication, and heart he puts into every wedding he plans. He genuinely cares about his couples and wants their day to feel every bit as special and magical as they imagined it would be. After experiencing that ourselves, we have an entirely new appreciation for just how incredible he is at what he does.
Our wedding day was everything we could have dreamed of and more, and so much of that is because of Will. We will forever be grateful for everything he did for us and cannot recommend Will and the Fater Fairytale team enough. When you put your wedding in their hands, you can trust that they will care about your day just as much as you do. -

As a wedding vendor ourselves (band), we work with a lot of different coordinators and it is important the vendors work together to create a special evening for our couples. Our band, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, worked hand-in-hand with Ian and Will for a wedding in September, 2025. The venue was a multi-building complex with ceremony, cocktail and reception all in different locations. As a vendor, that is a lot of mileage to walk in a day when bouncing around to where they are needed. They were ALWAYS available, easy to find, moving quickly, and kept everything on track when they could have fallen behind. Ian had an incredibly likeable personality to the guests that we saw firsthand when he navigated the guests between the buildings. We'd be lucky to work with them again! -

Fater Fairytale Weddings was totally a 5 Star experience! The responsiveness and level of service provided was amazing. At times I wondered how Will could afford to devote so much time to speaking with us, answering questions, finding just the right vendors and solving any issues. Watching how he handled the planning, dealt with vendors, managed the day of both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding did so much to reduce our stress. Will & Ian were absolutely the best vendor choice we made in the entire wedding planning process! They made our day go by smoothly and even when things didn't go as planned, they problem solved quickly and efficiently, sometimes without us even knowing! They ensured our day ran on schedule as much as possible and everything got done. If I were to give someone planning a wedding one recommendation, it would be to 1000% hire Will & Ian! Our entire family loved having them there the whole day and our wedding wouldn't have been the special and amazing day it was without them! Highly highly recommend!! -

I can't recommend these guys enough. They made our wedding the best day it could possibly be, and they worked with us SO much through the months leading up to it. Because of them, we were able to connect with some really great vendors and were able to create a wedding that was really 'us'. When we first ran into them, we were really skeptical about the idea of wedding coordinator in the first place, but I am so glad they convinced us, because they really made our wedding (and rehearsal dinner!) the best day of my life. -

If I could give more stars I would!! After meeting Ian at WedPlan Madison I knew instantly I wanted him to be part of our day. I ran home to tell my fiance about him and we set up a call. We hit it off and even though we already had a planner booked, we agreed to have him officiate our wedding. He made our day the most special! Many guests thought he was a long time friend. This truly shows how much he cared to get to know us. On the day of the wedding Ian showed up early and was such a helping hand. We invited him to stay for dinner and celebrate. He did just that and stepped in whenever he could to help make our day special. When things were going array he stepped in and I believe truly saved the day and kept me sane! I cannot say enough excellent things about him. If I could go back and change one thing, I would have hired Fater Fairytale for all of our planning/coordinating services -As well as officiating. -

Will & Ian were the best coordinators we could have asked for. Our day was truly a fairytale and it was thanks to them. The months leading up to the wedding they were on top of everything, making sure everything was getting checked off the list and offering assistance whenever we needed. Will created an incredibly detailed timeline for the day and they both made sure it was executed to a T come wedding day. When it came time for formal photos, Ian wrangled up my giant family and made sure photos got done in a timely manner and also made sure not to miss any specific photos we wanted taken. I had a very curated vision for the way I wanted everything to look in terms of decor and table settings and they made the vision come to life on our wedding day. I honestly cannot say enough good things about these two. They know what they are doing and they are phenomenal at it. -

Hiring Will was the best decision we could’ve made for our day. He made wedding planning easy and took off so much of my stress. He took on all the inquiries, communication, budgeting and more! He made sure my vision was honored while keeping us within budget. I am so impressed with his skills and how pleasant he was to work with! Will is so friendly and personable! I highly recommend him as your wedding planner, he is the best!
