Bo is an incredible makeup artist and hiring her was one of the best decisions you can make for your wedding day! She is so supremely talented and brings a clear passion and expertise to her work. From the very beginning, Bo worked with me for the makeup vision I had and day-of, she brought it to life and then some! She is so talented, personable, and accommodating, that I cannot recommend her enough. Everything went smoothly with her coming to our getting ready location (we also had a second artist which was great as we had several people getting ready at once) and everyone was ready right on time. I was also looking for someone who was able to do makeup for people with different skin tones, and Bo met and exceeded that expectation as well. I would absolutely recommend Face Affairs for your big day, you will not be disappointed! -

I was referred to Face Affairs from my maternity shoot photographer and I loved the finished product. I felt absolutely gorgeous after getting my makeup done and it showed in the pictures. I will definitely use Face affairs again for my glam needs in the future! -

I had hired Face Affairs for both my bridal shower and my wedding day. From our first encounter she was very professional with getting to know my desired makeup for both occasions. She was very punctual with both events and I felt like my comfort level and how I look was her top priority. The makeup was exceptional and accentuated my look for the photographs. I remember the amazement on my groom and guest faces as I walked down the aisle. Would definitely use Face Affairs again to do my makeup. Overall, a talented makeup artist that is professional and goes out of her way to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied. -

I was completely wowed by her expertise. She is punctual, professional and excellent at makeup application. She is responsive and wants to know what vision you have for your makeup and she executes exactly what you had in mind. She communicates throughout the makeup process, making sure you see the look coming together. She has earned my complete trust and confidence and will be the only make up artist I work with.

Amazing Makeup!
Bo is amazing! She treats you so well! Whether you know makeup or not, she is willing to work with you regardless. I booked her for my wedding look, and she was with me from start to finish! Even helping me and reassuring through it all! If I had a suggestion, she wouldn’t just ignore me and think her way was the only way. She would consider it and try it. If it didn’t work, she would explain why (I love that). And she made sure both of us were satisfied with the look before I left the chair! I looked so beautiful, and New Husband agreed too! -

More than a MUA!
Upon my initial conversation with Bo I knew that she was the MUA I had been in search of! She was very thorough in explaining to me her process and how she likes to take her time to give her bride the desired look she wants to achieve. Once I had my makeup trial it was no surprise to see that her skills were unmatched! I even returned a few days later to have her do my Bridal Shower makeup. Bo truly went above and beyond for me on my wedding day ... she even helped me put on my wedding dress when my maid of honor was running behind and stayed to touch up my makeup after my first look. I truly appreciate how seriously she takes her art and ensuring that you look your best on the most important day of your life. Im so happy that I found her! Thanks Bo! -

I am so happy to have met Bo! From our first email exchange and phone calls, I felt heard and appreciated. Bo was a very consistent artist, so I knew on the day my makeup would be perfect! As a multiracial, Black and White woman it was important that I found someone who would be able to make EVERYONE in my family look their best. Bo was able to work with a variety of skin tones to have us all looking our best! Bo provided a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and took great precautions during COVID-19. My 1940s pinup, glam look was brought to life! The makeup didn't feel heavy or over done and stayed put the whole day.. I looked like the best version of me on my wedding day and I loved it!! -

The Best MUA of all time!
Bo took the natural features of my face to another level! The makeup style that she went with was natural looking, not caked on whatsoever, and felt light. I have never felt more beautiful than when she finished my makeup. I seriously wish she could do my makeup every single day! -

Beautiful!
Bo was absolutely amazing. When I left her chair I looked and felt like my best self. Bo has magnetic energy that provides additional excitement for your special. I would recommend her to anyone. I had a small intimate wedding during the pandemic. Bo took extra caution during my makeup process.. she provided me with a bridal bag that had so many fun things and alot of must have items that i wouldn't have thought of. Please look no further.. your special day won't be the same without her!!! -

The experience of my dreams
I had a few very important qualities that I looked for in my make-up artist. I wanted someone with experience, used professional make-up and techniques, and someone that understood various skin tones! Bonike checked everyone of those on my list and then some. From contacting her here on Wedding Wire to day of, everything was absolutely perfect.
During my make-up trial, she helped me explore various potential looks. She didn't just ask for a picture, she wanted to know what the day would be like to better anticipate how to ensure a longer lasting application. My biggest concern was my eyeliner. I love a bold retro cat eye and not only did she deliver, it lasted all day long!
Day of, she treated my mom like a Queen! We had a prior awful make-up experience and it was such a relief to know my mom was in great hands. As far as my own personal experience, words cannot express how grateful I am. As a bride during Covid times, Bo made me feel so safe with her sanitation practices. She also put me at ease that day. Joking with me and helping me relax. It was like having another sister that day! She did an amazing job explaining every step, ensuring that I was happy with everything she did. Bo even took some extra videos and photos, and even helped with my dress during photographs.
The one thing I explained to Bo that I wanted is to make my make up look like I did it! I got exactly what I wanted. I looked like me and not some model in a wedding magazine. I look back at my wedding photos and I'm so happy. I won't have any regrets in the future thinking that I put too much make-up on.
Bo has great technique and I assure you, she's the one for you! If you want a more subtle look or even a glamorous look, she is the one for you! I am having a reception next year and I cannot wait to book her again. -

Bo is an amazing makeup artist! She was recommended from a friend & did not disappoint. She did my makeup for my engagement photos & I looked gorgeous. For my wedding she made up my bridesmaids, both mothers and me. We all looked great without the cakey feel/look. Our complexions were all different shades of brown & still had those differences after Bo finished. This was very important to me that we still looked natural & not all alike. I was also surprised that I didn't have to reapply anything the entire day, not even lipstick. I definitely recommend Face Affairs! I can't wait for my next event to use Bo! -

Bonike came highly recommended from another vendor and was THE perfect makeup artist for our intimate garden micro-wedding. From early on in the planning, Bo checked in with me to understand the wedding setting, my hopes for my wedding look, and my personal beauty style. As a makeup novice, I felt very comfortable that she would come up with a great natural look that complemented me. When she handed me a mirror on the wedding day, I saw an absolutely radiant version of myself. I would not hesitate to book Bo again for my next special occasion.
