    We had the most amazing experience working with Melissa from Events by Missy! From the moment we met her, she made us feel at ease and completely confident that our wedding day was in great hands.
    Melissa’s attention to detail is unmatched — she thought of everything we didn’t even realize we needed! Every element, from the timeline to the table settings, was handled with such care and precision. She was also a fantastic communicator throughout the entire planning process. We always felt informed, supported, and heard, which made what could have been a stressful experience feel completely seamless.
    One of the biggest highlights was the incredible network of vendors she brought to the table. Everyone she recommended — from the florist to the DJ — was top-notch and clearly trusted her vision. It felt like we had an all-star team working behind the scenes to bring our day to life.

    Best planning team ever!

    Events By Missy & Company were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was always clear, quick, and they always said "yes" to our requests. They were super detail-oriented, ensuring that every small detail I wanted included in our day came to life perfectly. On the wedding day, when questions and decisions can feel so overwhelming, Missy and her team made us feel completely at ease, as if everything was taken care of. They only included me in conversations after talking to my other vendors if it was absolutely necessary, allowing me to just enjoy the day. I had a lot of small personal touches I wanted incorporated, and Missy made sure each one was executed flawlessly.     Wonderful wedding planner!

    Melissa was wonderful to work with for our wedding in October! We started working with her 3 months before the wedding which was a huge help. She was so organized!! She had a very calming presence and any ideas we had she would execute with ease and without judgement! It was so helpful to have her as a sounding board throughout the wedding process. She helped us out so much on the wedding day which allowed us to enjoy the day to the fullest. We had a hiccup here and there on the wedding day (to be expected) and she took action and took care of it without causing us any stress. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU NEED A WEDDING PLANNER!! Thank you Melissa! :)

    Melissa was brilliant!

    Melissa was incredible to work with. She helped us primarily with design and florals, and it was quite amazing to go from having no idea what we wanted just a few months before the wedding, to talking to Melissa, and seeing her translate our personalities and preferences so beautifully at the wedding. We couldn't have been happier, and are so grateful for everything Melissa and her team did for us.

    Melissa is AMAZING!!

    Melissa, owner of Events by Missy & Co, is a life saver. My husband and I were having a hard time figuring out what we wanted to do for our wedding. Melissa helped us from start to finish from sourcing locations and vendors to last minute solutions for lighting. She was extremely professional and streamlined everything. The day of our wedding was stress free and blissful. I've heard stories of brides who don't enjoy their wedding because they have to deal with all the vendors and any hiccups. With Melissa and her team our wedding was a dream come true!! I would highly recommend her.

    I can not say enough good things about Events by Missy & Co. Melissa's experience and knowledge took a giant weight off of a stressed bride's shoulders.     Professional and organized!

    We hired Melissa to be our day of wedding coordinator as we wanted to be able to let go of responsibilities and enjoy our big day. What we didn’t know was we’d be getting support and guidance a few weeks leading up to our wedding from her as well. Melissa came to our ceremony rehearsal the day before, and her team of 3 other women were in attendance on our big day supporting us. Everything went so smoothly thanks to Melissa’s support, knowledge, and expertise in weddings. If you’re looking to have that relief on your big day, Melissa is your person.

    Every detail planned to perfection

    Missy from Event by Missy was an amazing experience. She is attentive and having been in the business a while was a perfect guide for a couple who wasn't quite sure of what they wanted. She was super accommodating from getting us a killer photo booth and helping get our dog as our ring bearer. We can both say she gave us the dream wedding we never knew we wanted.. We can honestly say this wedding would not of happend without her help and expertise.

    You're in very good hands.

    I already have recommended Melissa to another bride to be. I first hired her as a day of coordinator but she did so much more than just that and pretty much became my month of coordinator. She was able to take over some tough situations when I could not handle planning my own wedding anymore. She paid attention to the details I didn't have the skill to do. I didn't have to worry about a thing once I hired her. My own complaint is that I should have hired her sooner to plan my whole wedding.

    A fairytale in july

    Deciding to contact Melissa and work with her and the EBM team has literally been the easiest and BEST decision we have made in regards to our wedding! Between the amazing reviews online and then meeting her in person BEFORE we started planning ; we just KNEW for us, she was IT! She helped manage the incredibly overwhelming wedding industry - for every vendor we had to choose she gave us options to choose from and I always knew that we could trust her insight & suggestions. But more than her planning skills, her demeanor and amazing attitude just make things so smooth! We honestly cannot recommend Melissa & her team more highly, she was an investment in our lives and sanity and our day was the best because of her!

    The best day of our lives

    Working with Melissa was the best decision we ever made. My fiancé (at the time) was nervous about the idea of working with a wedding planner but after our first meeting with Melissa he looked at me and said YES! And from then on it was just the most incredible relationship. She helped manage the incredibly overwhelming wedding industry - for every vendor we had to choose she gave us options to choose from and I always knew that we could trust her insight & suggestions. She helped us watch our budget and decisions when they seemed to be coming from every direction. But more than her planning skills, her demeanor makes her kick-ass to work with. We cannot recommend Melissa & her team more highly, she was an investment in our sanity and resulted in us having the BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES !!

    Amazing Wedding Planner!!!!

    Melissa was absolutely wonderful to work with at every stage of the planning process and I would recommend her to anyone. She worked with us as our day of coordinator. She is incredibly kind and friendly, organized, dedicated, and always at ease. In the beginning, she was there to answer questions, go through checklists, and bounce ideas off of. As we approached the date, she made sure that every detail of the schedule for the day was well-organized, from the big things like our bus transportation to the minute details like where the bridesmaids should stand to pass out sparklers to the guests. On the day of the wedding, she coordinated with every single vendor so that they worked as one unit and made sure that everything went smoothly, informing me and my husband and our party of what to do and when. I don’t know what we would have done without her. Besides all of the logistics that she handled, she was always calm and made me feel at ease, even when I was incredibly anxious about the possibility of something going wrong. Thanks so much for playing such an important role in our day, Melissa! It was perfect.

    Best wedding planner in the world

    It has been a little over a month since our dream wedding at Cipriani. We have been working with Melissa from Events by Missy since last June. I was referred to her by my friend Cara who got married a year ago and working with her was the best wedding decision we made. I work 50+ hours a week and my hubby is doing his externship at a hospital, so we knew from the beginning that we needed help planning. From start to finish she has helped with everything. Melissa helped us quickly problem solve when our original venue didn't work out, her quick action and experience led us to the perfect venue. Her ability to take our conversations and turn them into a working vision board made it easy for vendors to follow. Her creative vision made our wedding truly dreamy. All of our guests were blown away and some say it was the best wedding they ever attended. This is a direct result of Melissa’s hard work and dedication to her clients. She is a décor genius, organized, gives great advice, and will calm you down when you are on the verge of a bride zilla meltdown moment (As i was) LOL. As perspired as we thought we were, we definitely weren’t. Hire a planner, hire Melissa…you wont regret it!

    Outstanding Wedding Planner !


    Words cannot express my gratitude for Melissa & her girls! My wedding was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because of them. I came to them with a simple idea and they worked their magic and brought it to life. If you think you don't need a wedding planner, think again and if you think you can go with just any one THINK AGAIN! Melissa is a top-notch planner and I was super lucky to have had her assistance. She always made us feel as though she had everything 100% under control. Trust me, you want this is a planner!! I loved everything she came up with!     Melissa Fife was worth every penny I paid for a "Day Of Coordinator." I did most of the wedding planning myself and was on the fence about hiring somebody for the "day of." Once shuttle service was involved back and forth to a hotel, I decided to bite the bullet and hire somebody to help out. She was a gem: punctual, organized, experienced, knowledgeable, accessable and attentive. Extremely easy to work with! She was a very calming influence on a day when a mother of the bride is pulled in many directions. Though our venue was phenomenal and extremely well run, Melissa helped us rehearse several times and tied together any loose ends. I am sure she would make an excellent full service planner for those who need one, as well. We have no hesitation in recommending her!

    Missy was simply spectacular! we knew we wanted to use her immediately when we met - her sense of style is impeccable, and she has a wonderful, relaxed and excited attitude. She seemed genuinely excited to work with me and make my day perfect. We had our wedding at my friends estate in CT, so we needed a lot of help. Missy was organized, efficient, transparent, and made sure everything from the grass looked perfect - she did not overlook a single detail…and her team was great, they were on point with every detail and then some!

    Missy helped us with month of coordination for a wedding of 250 people, and 17 vendors. She organized everything on the day of my wedding, and made sure everything went off without an issue. She created a day of plan, and had her assistants at all 3 of our wedding sides (house, hotels, church). When I got to the estate I was completely breathless - while we had worked together on the plan, I could not believe how stunning everything looked. From organizing a seating map, a full layout of the property, creating outdoor seating areas, the table card display - everything blended together to create the absolute perfect day that I'd hoped for! I would absolutely hire Missy again; she planned the PERFECT party.

    Melissa was everything that I didn't know that I needed! I had a small budget and planned everything myself and felt like I had done a great job. I then realized that even though I saved a ton by doing things myself that also meant I'd have to set up and execute myself which would have added a lot of work and stress to my wedding day. I didn't want to ask my bridesmaids or family members to work our wedding, they had already done so much. Enter Melissa!! We met and I filled her in on what I needed and she jumped right in and handled everything that I asked her to do and more. From our first meeting I knew I was in good hands and stopped stressing. She thought of things that I hadn't and I'm so glad that I found her! Trust me, even the most organized, DIY, Pinterest bride needs all hands on deck the day of the wedding. I enjoyed having mimosas and giggling with my best friends at the salon a lot more than I would have enjoyed putting out favors and lighting candles. Melissa organized our guest transportation, vendor set ups were flawless, she even made sure the DJ played the right songs at the right times ( we did an elaborate first dance!) Thanks to Melissa and her girls our wedding day was great, we couldn’t have asked for a better planner!

    I used Missy as my wedding day coordinator and she was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She had great suggestions for the wedding planning process and provided a very detailed schedule for the day of wedding. She even had backup readings for mass just in case the readers forget theirs, she thought of everything! I also had a long list of day of tasks, and kept adding to it, for her and Dominique (she was great too!) and even changed up transportation a few days before the wedding and she was able to execute and accommodate it all! During my wedding day, Missy always made sure I was comfortable and calm and kept checking in on me, she helped make my wedding day an amazing day I will never forget!

    If you want a care-free, no worries type of wedding day Melissa and her team are the ones to hire! Before I even get into the perfect day let me tell you Melissa was available at all times even to answer the silliest of questions. She assisted me with vendor referrals, writing my ceremony, making the timeline, and just overall helping me keep calm through the whole process! She sent me updated "to-do" lists to ensure that I was on schedule and completing things in a timely manner for the wedding. As for the rehearsal and day of everything was perfect. She conducted the rehearsal and made sure everyone knew exactly where & what time they were needed. When our big day began she checked in with me to see if there was anything I needed and made sure everything flowed seamlessly. She kept not only myself but my vendors and bridal party right on schedule and we started right on time!! I was never bothered with questions from anyone… I cannot reiterate it any more other than it was PERFECT and I was completely WORRY FREE.     Melissa Fife planned our wedding and we were in good hands.

    From keeping us on task to coming up with original ideas, Melissa was fully invested and even schlepped supplies up to the final hours. Nothing shook her as parameters changed, budgets adjusted and venues threw us an occasional curveball. She works within your budget and personal tastes.

    Melissa worked hard to make the day about us and keep the stamp of our personalities on the event. All of our ideas were considered for practicality and budget. She recommended the right talent and services to make it all happen and fought to keep us on schedule.

    When the day was over Karen and I wished we had another significant event to hire Melissa again.

    I wholeheartedly recommend her and couldn't be happier with her services.

    I always knew whenever I got married I’d hire a wedding planner. Being a corporate meeting planner I needed someone organized, creative, humorous and straightforward to help me in my planning for my special day. When I met Melissa approximately 18 months before my wedding; almost immediately into conversation I knew we’d worked together well. During this journey together I received great information including, vendor recommendations, to what details not to obsess over, the best places to maximize my funds, what DIY projects to avoid and everything in between. Melissa kept me on track and it was a great comfort knowing that advice, support was just an e-mail away. Her response time to my questions and concerns during the process was excellent. The day of the wedding she was able to accommodate my last minute request, handled all the vendors and schedule adjustments smoothly. There was a point during our table greeting sessions where she came over to my husband and me and told us to go on the dance floor and “enjoy our party”. It was a much needed break and helped us to further enjoy the moment. I was able to be a guest at my own wedding, as her company motto states. I’d definitely recommend Events by Missy & Co.

    Missy as excellent. She and her assistant-Dominique-were flexible, organized, and super on top of things. I was initially a bit skeptical of the need for a Day of Coordinator (which is the service that she provided, rather than Wedding Planning) but it was WELL worth every penny. Missy made the day run seamlessly and went above and beyond doing things like running out for extra alcohol and holding the gowns ahead of the date. Highly recommend her services.

    I used Events by Missy & Co. for my October 2014 wedding. I did not start my wedding planning process thinking we would use a planner, but our schedules became pretty hectic as the wedding date got closer--with our jobs, moving into a new apt., and all the details associated with our big day--and we realized that it was a worthwhile decision to bring a planner on board to help keep everything in order and ensure that all went smoothly and according to plan, especially after all the time, money, and effort we already put into the planning process. We booked Melissa for her partial planning package about 7 months out from our wedding date and are so happy we did. She kept us on track and was very prompt in answering all our questions throughout the process regarding everything from timing, details, etiquette, etc. She created our day-of timeline, confirmed timing/arrivals with all our vendors, and made sure that on our wedding day everything went smoothly. The week of the wedding she lightened my load by taking care of chores like dropping our gift bags off at the hotel for me. The morning of the wedding, people kept commenting on how relaxed and calm I was (which is not usually the case!), and I knew it was because everything was taken care of and I was confident that if any mishaps did happen, Melissa and her wonderful assistant Dominique would step in to take care of it. For example, while we were taking family pictures outside, my mother's heels kept sinking into the grass... she mentioned it to Dominique, and within seconds she was provided with heel protectors to prevent her from sinking into the ground. When I got some mud on the train of my dress, Melissa was right there with a shout wipe to get it out. I thought I had a good emergency kit... but it paled in comparison to theirs! It sounds cliche, but our wedding was truly the best day we've ever had, and we are so grateful for all that Melissa and Dominique did to make it that way!

    Melissa provided day-of coordination services for our wedding on August 2, 2014. In the months leading up to our wedding, our reception venue underwent multiple changes in management, leaving my husband and I feeling extremely anxious about the execution of our wedding day festivities. We are very thankful to have found Melissa Fife as our coordinator, as she is exactly the type of person you want overseeing one of the most important days of your life: highly organized, professional, and assertive when needed. Melissa and her assistant allowed my husband and me to truly enjoy our wedding day; rather than worrying about timing, Melissa and her team took care of the day’s execution, only consulting us when needed throughout the night.     We couldn't have picked a better wedding planner! I had a short 6 months to plan my wedding and was a little nervous but with Melissa's help we got it done!     Melissa was a joy and very easy to work with. Her skilled hands in event planning and coordinating with vendors is something we could not have done ourselves. Our ceremony/reception is unique in that it was done in a garden setting at a private estate so all services from catering, event rentals, tent/floors, live entertainment, officiant and decors had to be tackled separately. And it all paid off and came together at the end! The day of the wedding, she and her girls made sure the place was prepped beautifully and that me and my partner do not have to worry a thing and just had to take care of our guests. There was even one time where we almost changed our venue due to an unforeseen circumstance a couple of weeks before the wedding and Melissa came through by being able to secure an alternate venue as plan B. Even though we stuck with the original venue, her experience and tried and true contacts, turned us from groom-zillas to putting our minds at ease.

    Melissa and her assistant, Dominique, were great! We had hired Melissa to be our day-of coordinator. Melissa was there early in the day when we were getting ready and made sure everything went smoothly. Her assistant, Dominique, did a great job ensuring that all our guests got on the bus that we had chartered to shuttle our guests to the wedding venue. Melissa dealt with our vendors the day of the wedding so we wouldn't have to worry about details relating to our vendors, and she had an emergency kit (complete with handkerchiefs and scissors) that proved to be invaluable on the wedding day. We were hesitant to hire a day-of coordinator because we wanted to save money, but Melissa did a great job and didn't cost a huge fortune like some other planners we had interviewed.

    I don't know what I would have done without Missy & Co on our special day. From the moment we signed on with her she became an invaluable part of our organizing, following up with vendors and reminding me of all the little things that can so easily slip your mind. When I almost forgot about arranging pickup for my groom's cake she was right there to fill in .She was there to calm me down when things got crazy and make sure that everyone and everything was where it needed to be. Her pricing is beyond reasonable and she was worth every dime! I don't know what I would have done without her.

    My husband & I were skeptical of using a wedding planner at first. I asked, "why spend money on a wedding planner when we could put that money toward the wedding?" However, I soon realized that the money we saved far exceeded the fee for Melissa and her amazing staff. We used Events by Missy for their full-event planning services and there was nothing Melissa couldn't do!!! The vendors she referred us to were not only amazing but within our budget. Her knowledge of everything from ettiquette to color coordination to seating was far beyond what I expected. We hired Melissa about a year before the wedding and she kept us on task the whole time. Her perspective on our wedding vision was parelle to mine and her recomendartions only made our wedding even better.
    I suggest using Melissa and Events by Missy for your wedding planning, she is an investment in your sanity...trust me!

    I would've been a complete mess if it wasn't for Melissa! She was the ideal planner I was looking for. I have to admit, I was not only a little apprehensive to hire a coordinator but finding one I didn't know personally was a huge challenge. I said to myself, "Why would I get one when I can do everything myself?" Man, was I wrong. On top of a crazy work and school schedule and half of my day dedicated to a long commute, I started to panic. People I thought I could trust including family who felt very comfortable with inviting whomever, forgot to consider the work and time dedicated to planning a wedding. After months of research, Melissa was on my top 5 list. Based on her references, her brides spoke highly of her work, professionalism and her prompt response which ultimately solidified my decision. She was very personable and it made the wedding planning that much easier. She thought of everything and was always 10 steps ahead of me. Now that's the sign of a GREAT coordinator. After we came back from our honeymoon, many of my guests raved about the wedding. Pick Melissa..you won't be disappointed! She not only knows weddings, guests, gifts, dresses, decor, vendors, food...but she loves wedding cake =) a girl after my own heart!

    I was the winner of Events by Missy’s contest last year for free DAY-OF wedding planning services. At first I didn't think I was going to get free services, but I was ecstatic when I received Melissa’s email setting up our consultation. She was kind and friendly and I was excited to be working with her on my wedding. I am not organized or focused at all, but Melissa took care of all of the details perfectly. From her suggested vendors to decor ideas, everything was exactly how I wanted them. Myself and Tony couldn’t have asked for anything more on the wedding day either. Melissa worked from early in the day to late into the evening making sure all of the details were just right.     My partner and I hired Melissa right off the bat after meeting her, all of the details she explained were in her full wedding package were just what we needed help with. We hit it off right away and we made a very good team. We purchased her full package so she was there every step of the way. Melissa was always available to answer all of our questions and concerns, even our silly ones. She put both of us at ease and made sure that we knew everything that was going on between her and our vendors. She helped negotiate with our vendors so that not only did we maintain our budget, but Melissa and her team actually paid for herself by getting us a venue that usually quotes others half the price of what we got it for, due to her working relationship with them!!! We couldn't have been more happy.




    At the wedding, everyone of our guests were amazed at how smoothly the night progressed and how lovely everything was. I also had couples ask me for Melissa’s number so that they can use her services when their time comes. Also much props to her day-of assistant Dominique, she was so amazing!     I reached out to Melissa and Event by Missy early in 2011. My fiancé and I decided to get married in NY (I was at the time living in Sydney AU and he was stationed overseas in the Army) and wanted to get married at his alma-mater West Point academy. After out initial phone chat and skype conversation, I hired melissa immediately for her full planning coordination services, she put my mind at easy, I was super stressed out about planning a destination wedding, not to mention to a place I had never visited before. I cannot say enough how great melissa was from the start; the only thing we had planned was the date and the chapel, melissa and her team did the rest. Everything from the venue to the photographer to transportation she chose...not only were they on budget but all were beyond our expectations. When myself and Mike did come to the states, Melissa accommodated our schedules to set up floral meetings and menu tastings. The day of the wedding Melissa and her assistant Dominique came to the hotel early to help with everything, setting up the venue decor and just helped put my mind at easy...and the mothers as well! Our wedding was in March 2012 and it was so beyond everything we imagined. Our families were so impressed that everything was perfect as we planned everything from so far away....but it was all Melissa’s expertise and referrals and know how that made our wedding beautiful. I still stay in contact with Melissa to this day, we now live in TX and she emails every month to check on how the new house is. The investment that we made in Melissa’s services were the best we did the entire wedding process and I refer her to anyone and everyone who needs a wedding planned to perfection, she is simply the bestest (Melissa’s fav word LOL) Thank you again for everything....SMOOCHES!

    Amazing doesn't even begin to describe Melissa. She is the BEST. Just the best. From the moment we met I was treated me as if I were her only client. Every email (I mean every single one, and we exchanged well over 200) was answered promptly. This woman is incredibly responsive...I love her. She is also insanely creative, funny, organized, easy to work with, kind, generous, understanding, calm...did I mention responsive? =) My wedding was PERFECT. I literally have no complaints (other than that I didn't get to eat enough but that was my fault). If anything went wrong I do not know about it, which is pretty much the same as nothing going wrong at all. She helped me choose all of my other vendors and everything was gorgeous. From the flowers, to the linens, the lighting..just gorgeous. Melissa helped me work through so many decisions and was incredibly knowledgable and helpful so that in the end, most of my decisions were easy. She helped me with my budget so that I maximized every dollar I spent. While most people think that a wedding planner may be out of their budget, I have to insist that they contact Melissa. I had such little time to plan a wedding and Melissa was indispensable. I am so grateful that she was with me every step of this process. I cannot imagine having done any of it without her.     Melissa Fife is the queens of the universe!! Her and her team are the absolute best team of wedding planners anywhere. They stopped at nothing to ensure our day went off without a hitch. Melissa handled issues with our family (oh drama!) beautifully. Melissa was my lady in waiting the day of and she was wonderful. She ran her tail off for me the entire day up to and including hiding behind me and holding up my gown so it wouldn't get dirty when we were taking pictures in the muddy garden. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a coordinator who will stop at nithing to ensure your day goes off without a hitch!

    I am so glad that I hired Melisssa @Events by MIssy as my wedding coordinator! At first I wasn't going to hire one, since I had already picked my venue and didn't want to spend extra money on wedding planning. As time went by, I realized I really could use an expert opinion and someone to look out for me on the actual wedding day. Melissa came to meet with me before I even signed with her. She talked over ideas and gave me tons of valuable information. I could see what a responsible and sharp-minded person she was - just the kind of person I would want handling things for me.

    I used all of her recommendations and advice with my wedding vendors (makeup and hair, DJ, rentals). Sometimes I was uncertain about some vendors, but I trusted Melissa's opinions and it worked out.

    Moments I was ESPECIALLY glad I hired Melissa:
    1. During the wedding rehearsal, she made all of mine & my husband's family feel comfortable
    2. During the ceremony, when my mom and mother in law couldn't light the candles, and Melissa stepped in and got the lighter working.
    3. After the ceremony, when she stepped up to me with a big smile and said, "You did it!!"
    4. At the end of the night, when she toasted me and paul with our fav champagne...she had picked up just because she's THAT nice.

    I definitely recommend Melissa from Events by Missy to anyone who wants an intelligent, capable planner. AND I also must give her staff a hand as well, they were well organized and so helpful with our guests questions!

    One word - AMAZING! I called Melissa a year before my wedding, when I had started planning but became completely overwhelmed. All we had picked was the venue. She was fabulous! We hired her for the full event planning and it was the BEST money we spent! From finding us the perfect photographer, florist, hair and makeup artist, to setting up all of our DIY projects that day, she did everything we needed. I am also a huge proponent of customer service and responsiveness, and I have never had someone respond so quickly to all of my millions of emails - calming me down when things became stressful or just hearing me out when I needed to vent about something. On our wedding day, Melissa handled everything so we had zero stress. It was perfect because of her and I cannot thank her enough. Melissa is creative, professional, organized, efficient, and a true pleasure to work with!

We hired Melissa for full service planning assistance for our wedding but she provided soooo much more; friendly advise, a shoulder to cry on when I was stressed and genuine excitement about our wedding. From the smallest detail to the largest tasks, melissa was on it, always reminded us of our to-do list items that needed to be completed and to always remember that the wedding was about us and the love we shared, to always keep that the main focus, even when things got crazy :) On our wedding day Melissa kept me calm, put our some small logistical fires and assisted in keeping the wedding on schedule. I would advise any bride thinking about using a planner to hire Melissa and Events by Missy; hands down the best planner ever!!

    The best decision we made was to hire Melissa to be our wedding planner and Day-Of Coordinator for our October 2, 2010 wedding at Catlin Gardens. Melissa is incredibly organized and knowledgeable and motivated. Her wonderful and helpful attitude put all my worries and stress at ease.     We got married at Bear Mountain in New York and realized just a few weeks before the wedding that we could not do it all. We had too many details and DIY projects that needed to be executed so we needed to find some help. Andy found Melissa through an online search of wedding wire and we met with her soon after. She was completely accommodating and she loved all of our ideas and plans...she also threw in her own ideas and helped us make decisions and think about details that we would not have thought about otherwise. She could see what we wanted very clearly and she helped us finally feel at ease that everything would come together perfectly.

    On the day of the wedding, I was stressed by nature but there came a point (once the gown was on!) that I had to let go and trust that everyone would do what they had to do. Melissa came through with flying colors. I stopped in before I got dressed and she was calm as can be - she assured me that everything would be great, she asked me a few questions that I had left unanswered, and she left me feeling great. We arrived at the venue after taking loads of pictures by the lake and everything was clearly set and in place, from baskets of tissues and programs to placecards and photo booth accessories. We had a lot of vendors including live music, a deejay, a magician, a balloon twister (for the kids), etc. and Melissa made sure that every one of them was on time and where they needed to be. She stayed through to the end of the evening, making sure the schedule ran on time and that all of the details were executed. She truly could not have been more amazing.

    When we were on our honeymoon in Spain, we were talking about the whole event and everything that happened - we both agreed that we could not have pulled it off without Melissa's help and support on the day of and for the month leading up to the wedding. We would definitely recommend her to anyone who is planning their wedding as a great source of support and someone who can be trusted with every detail.

    If you are in need of a planner, I would highly recommend using Missy & Co! My Husband and I hired Missy & Co for our October 15, 2011 wedding and couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.
    From our first meeting to after the wedding she was there for all of our needs, whether it was finding a vendor, making sure our wedding party knew what to do or just being there when a question arose.
    Melissa was extremely responsive in all of our correspondences (which is always appreciated when planning a wedding) and was very professional as well. She made the day before the wedding and the day of the wedding so easy and we were able to enjoy our special day with no worries.

    A Dream Come TRUE

    Melissa and her team were lifesavers for our June wedding. I went into planning thinking I could handle everything myself but quickly realized we needed a professional! Our wedding was at a "non-wedding" venue, so everything from the ice to the napkins, to the chairs and a dance floor had to be brought in. Melissa helped organize, plan, and MOST importantly helped me keep my budget in tact. She was amazing and let my "vision" shine through while reeling me in from the craziness. Never forcing an idea or a preference of her own, just helping me figure out what it is I actually wanted. There were so many moving parts and Melissa made it seem so seamless and effortless. I can't recommend getting a planner in general enough - you think you don't need one and you and I wholeheartedly recommend Events by Missy & Company to everyone. So professional, helpful and just genuinely happy to be there and for us on our wedding day. It was everything I didn't know I needed.

    Melissa was great and very responsive. She helped our day run smoothly and communicated well with other vendors. She and her team made sure everyone had a great time at our wedding!

    About a month before our wedding, my fiancé and I were in desperate need of an extra set of hands!! I am so glad we bit the bullet and decided to work with Melissa (from Missy & Co) to work through all the last minute details. It certainly saved us (and our mothers!!) a lot of last minute panic, pressure, and stress.

    We chose the “month-of” wedding services, as all we really needed was someone to help pull together the final pieces, plus a “go to girl” for anything that happened the day of. Melissa was extremely helpful in confirming and coordinating all of our vendors arrival times. I also appreciated all the check lists and check-ins she had for me. She certainly kept me honest, and on task! (which I needed – big time!!). Her responsiveness was impressive - I ALWAYS received a return call or email within 24 hours. Usually shorter. On the day of the wedding, she set all of our many decorations up according to plan (THANK YOU!!) and made sure a few of our last minute payments got distributed. And even though not much (that I know of?!) went awry at our wedding... it gave me an enormous peace of mind just to know that Melissa & her assistant had ALL the vendors contact info, etc. and were ready to pounce if anything at all went out of wack. For that alone - the $$ we spent was worth it!!!!

    My only feedback for Melissa & her team falls under the category of “professionalism.” I felt their attire on the day of our wedding was slightly too casual given the formality of our event. Their attire was by no means offensive; perhaps just a bit out of place and a bit less than what I would have expected. But that’s my mistake – I should have checked in with her about that beforehand! Melissa was entirely (and overly!) professional over both phone and email, and also while talking to her in person. She stuck to her contract, and then some. Thank you and your team for all you’ve done for us!!

    We worked with Melissa for our wedding this past month and chose the month-0f-coordination package. From the moment we met her, we knew that she was going to make the wedding great! Melissa was friendly, organized, helpful, resourceful and full of great ideas. Even though we didn’t have a full planning package, we were able to email her with questions right away and ask for vendor references. Because of Melissa, we were able to assemble a great team of vendors on our wedding day - we loved each and every one of them! In terms of the wedding day itself, she executed everything flawlessly. If something went wrong, I didn't hear about it! We really appreciated how she was able to oversee everything so efficiently. Melissa made our wedding day go by without a hitch. We trusted her with all the details (and lots of big things too) and everything looked great! We would definitely recommend Events by Missy! Thank you melissa for all our help!

    Unfortunately we can not positively recommend Melissa. She came on board specifically to be the "day of" person and to make life easier for the wedding planner-who happens to be the Mother of the Bride. She agreed to take this part of the affair on and we were very specific in our request that she help the bridal party adhere to the timeline for leaving the hotel for venue-both bridesmaids and groomsmen-, to see that photographer had all parties at venue as needed, and to doublecheck setup as outlined by the wedding planner. Nothing was left to chance for her and her assistant. She had a timeline to refer to, she had her own forms with all the info as participants in bridal party and their cells and she had diagrams for layouts.
    None of this occurred, she changed her tune the day of and the assistant was nowhere to be found at the hotel,in addition she was texting the Mother of the Bride did she need her as opposed to doing what had been planned,as a result the departures were not on time and as a result the photographer did not get to take all the required photos. In addition, she was never by the brides' side to
    address last minute issues, nor was she anywhere to be found for the family members and or bridal party needs just prior to service. She did not keep track of items she was asked to deliver to bridal table, rentals were not accounted for and she and her assistant were not dressed professionally for a black tie affair. When asked would she like us to arrange for some type of vendor dinner her response was " no we will just eat food at the cocktail hour". Completely inappropiate.
    Bottom Line, she was not "valued added", overcharged us for her services and stressed all of us out at a time that we needed her most.
    We did reach out to her by email in an effort to work something out after the fact and she never had the courtesy to respond. We would never recommend this vendor to anyone, while we would all of our other vendors.
