A Seamless Wedding
From the first moment I spoke to Meg, I knew we were going to be in good hands. We hired M and M Events for their month of coordinating package. From the beginning, Meg was kind, communicative, honest, and knowledgeable. Her forms were so helpful in organizing the important details of the day, she really took the time to get the full vision of our wedding, and she went above and beyond helping us navigate some pre wedding drama. If the wedding day had bumps in the road, I didn't have a clue because Meg kept our day as stress free as possible, handled everything behind the scenes, and executed the day perfectly to our vision. Meg is the secret sauce to an SB wedding!
Meg was the best! A true industry veteran, she knew all the best vendors and 'hacks' to make our wedding weekend perfect. Whenever I had a crazy idea, she found a way to make it happen -- all with a smile on her face. So Thankful For Meg & Team for Creating our Dream Wedding!!!
My husband and I got married in September at the Hilton Beachfront Resort in Santa Barbara, and we were in awe with the way our wedding day turned out, and how smooth Meg made the planning process for us. She also planned our Rehearsal dinner + Welcome Party at Margerum Wine Conpany, and that was absolutely lovely as well.
From the start of the consultation, she really puts effort into getting to know you both as individuals, and together as a couple. This is really helpful for the planning process and helps guide you in delegation of topics/tasks amongst yourselves and who she should reach out to depending on the what info she needs. ie my husband is more logistics and business, whereas I’m more interested in creative/design.
She is organized (heck yes to the spreadsheets!), detail-oriented, honest, understanding, patient (I’m the type who needs someone kindly keeping me on track for this kind of thing), and just all around fun to chat with. She has great recommendations for vendors and really is connected!
She really works on ensuring it’s YOUR special day and is flexible in going out of her way to make sure your dream wedding happens within your vision, culture, budget, (even family and guest opinions and logistics)
We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for wedding or event planning services in the greater Santa Barbara area.

Best Day Ever
It's been over a year since our wedding with Meg and we only grow more and more grateful for her and her team as time goes on! We have been to several weddings since and are so happy to report that not once has something come up where we think "we should've done this better at our wedding."
We did the middle package with Meg which was perfect for us. I definitely wanted to play an active role in the planning so this worked out well for us. Meg was always there to send us off in the right direction and get us a head start. She didn't do everything for us (as expected) but having her to promptly answer and questions and bounce ideas back and forth with saved us a ton of time!
For reference, we had a substantial part in the day-to-day planning while both working full-time and attending school full-time. So it's a lot of work but totally doable if you stay organized and manage your time properly!
We highly recommend working with Meg and her middle of the road package if you are ready to put in work as well. She has so much knowledge and expertise with things that are so often overlooked, like general timeline and making sure guests have a pleasant and smooth experience at your big day.
Overall we loved our experience and would recommend that everyone read the fine print closely and discuss roles and responsibilities so it's made clear from the start what you're signing up for. If you sign up for a middle of the road package, that's what you're going to get and it's perfect if you want a substantial and active role in planning your perfect day! -

Only choose meg
So let me start by saying when you are planning YOUR wedding, you are looking for not only the best planner but someone who is capable of bringing your dream & vision to life. I found Meg after searching through many planners that I just felt weren’t right for me. I knew from our first phone call that she was the one for me lol so I booked her on the spot. So I live in New York and got married in Malibu, CA. Now planning a wedding is stressful but planning a wedding across the country is even more stressful....I thought. Little did I know I was planning a wedding across the country during COVID 19. After 3 trips and 1.5 years of planning with Meg, the entire world changed. Meg asked me if I wanted to move my wedding, I said no. She told me not to worry and we were going to make it happen anyway we can (following protocol obviously). I can truly say Meg looked into the rules and kept me updated on a daily basis. Not only did Meg follow rules and protocols to make my wedding safe for all my vendors and guests, she made my vision become a reality. Although we had a smaller guest list, we did not sacrifice anything short of what I wanted. The day was absolutely perfect thanks to Meg!
Not only did Meg make my dream come true in an unprecedented time, she was more than a vendor.... she was my friend. Meg was there for me every step of the way (Even the day of her own wedding when I was having a panic attack about my wedding, she answered the phone). Mind you I live in NY so It’s 3 hours earlier in the East Coast. Meg always answered me. This women is a wedding God. She did nothing short of an amazing job. If I had to go back to this extremely stressful time to plan a wedding, I would as long as Meg was my planner. She can make anything happen. I highly recommend choosing Meg. I can not thank her enough. Choose Meg! 😀-

The Fairy Godmother of Weddings
Meg West is the fairy godmother of weddings. I highly recommend hiring Meg for all events and services you may be considering.
Planning my wedding during covid was nothing short of a nightmare. I had to deal with an unreasonable and irate vendor, my venue cancelling three weeks before the wedding, and countless other hurtles including reducing the guest list by 75% and so on. Through all the nightmare, Meg stood strong and helpful. She provided guidance and solutions to problems. She managed to find a last minute videographer, find a new venue with just three weeks to spare, and turned it into the most amazing wedding I could have ever imagined.
After my original venue canceled, I felt hopeless and stopped caring about everything. Meg managed to help me gain the excitement of the wedding back by pulling everything together in a last minute fashion. She communicated and planned with all my vendors, helped with the rentals of everything I didn't know I needed, offered solutions to SO. MANY. ISSUES.
The day of she had the schedule down and helped everything run smoothly. I had a huge wedding party she managed to control somehow and kept everyone on time. She really helped bring my vision together and transform it into the most amazing day. I mean, she literally even went as far to make sure my food (I was too busy/nervous to eat) was boxed up and placed in my room so I could eat it later. She helped me place together so many small details that brought so much joy to myself and my guests. Things like getting lemon bars delivered to the hotel room the night before the wedding to all my guests, and a light refreshing drink during the pre ceremony seating time. She really though of every last detail and helped make my wedding unique and special.
I love Meg with all my heart and will always carry a special fondness of her and her work. You will not regret hiring her. You will be so unbelievably happy and glad you did. She really is the fairy godmother of weddings.

Meg was the best!
Meg and her team were absolutely incredible! From the very beginning and each step of the way, Meg made our planning stress-free. She took the time to get to know us as a couple which allowed us to trust the team to put together our desired wedding experience. They handled all of the details, communication, and scheduling with each vendor. They provided us with very helpful guidance and suggestions -- especially since we live in NY and our wedding was in CA. On the day of our wedding, Meg made it so that there were zero decisions to be made, and our only focus was to enjoy our special day with our guests who all had an amazing time! Beautiful Wedding at the Riviera Mansion, Santa Barbara
Meg was amazing to work with! From our first conversation with her, my husband and I both felt very confident that she knew exactly what she was doing. She had great advise and we loved her spreadsheets that she provided for tracking our guests, decor and budget. We brought Meg on as our "Week of" coordinator. On the week of, she was incredibly helpful in communicating and organizing with our vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly from the rehearsal and through the big day. Beautiful Adamson House Wedding!
Meg and her team were excellent! Right from the beginning she worked with us to help us envision the type of wedding we wanted, keep us on budget, and keep us on a good timeline. She was very knowledgable about the venue. Everyone has told us our wedding was one of the most beautiful they had seen, and it was all because of Meg and her team. The florist she works with in southern california was particularly amazing. We couldn't have done it without their dedication and vision, she comes highly recommended!-

Meg and her team saved my wedding from going up in flames....LITERALLY!
We started planning our wedding like any other couple would, throwing every half-composed idea at wedding planners in hopes that they could bridge the gap between my ramblings and an overloaded Pinterest board. I knew I wanted it to have a very relaxed romantic feel without seeming too uptight. We had picked a gorgeous winery as our venue and I knew it could embody both of our wants. After interviewing with Meg I instantly clicked with her “get-it-done” personality and humor! It was only a few conversations with my parents, and we began our 7-month planning journey! Now, seven months isn’t a lot of time in the wedding planning world but, Meg and her team absolutely nailed every vision, vendor, and walk through. Her design board checked off every “want” and provided options within our budget without every sacrificing the experience. It was the easiest and most enjoyable event process I have ever been a part of even with some type of meeting or walk through happening back to back. I knew Meg was executing every detail as her and her team kept me in the loop with where we were at in processes and answered any random question I had without having to wait. My fiancé and family were all very excited about the big day and could not wait to see what our vendors had dreamt up in person. Unfortunately, the unthinkable happened. We had arrived the Thursday before our wedding, just as the fires struck Malibu. Friday morning, I was trying to keep my calm and without hesitating Meg immediately called me and started working with vendors to secure a game plan to make the day come together despite the road closures and air conditions. A few hours later, while watching the news from our hotel surrounded by smoke, I saw a reporter in front of my venue with flames behind him. Everyone expected me to be a total mess but, it was my faith in Meg and her stellar team that kept me so calm. In the matter of half a working day, with no WiFi, she had found a new venue, secured new vendors, and assisted in signing new contracts and getting memos out to our guests all before dinner. I didn’t get a rehearsal, I never got to say “I do” where I had envisioned I would. But I wouldn’t change anything that happened that weekend. The day was absolutely gorgeous and filled with more love than it would have originally been, I think. I owe all of my memories, peace, and happiness from that weekend to Meg and her team. I am almost crying happy tears writing this. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for me and my family. I love you always Meg, thank you for everything.-

A wedding coordinator that goes above and beyond...
In the near 3 months since our wedding in Malibu, CA my wife and I have written several glowing reviews for the vast array of vendors that helped us celebrated a truly magical night. We have saved the very best for last. It was our wedding coordinator who skillfully and patiently guided us to choose the very best DJ, flouriest, photographer, videographer, transportation, cake & dessert designer, and make-up crew. Thank you to Meg West and the entire team at Events by M & M for putting together a night my wife and I will forever cherish. Early on, Meg listened to all of our crazy ideas and specific preferences and ran with it. This was no small feat. My wife and I had very different approaches to our wedding aesthetic. Meg was able to process what was most important to us both and put together a theme and look that not only pleased us, it wowed us. She was able to make the months, weeks and days leading up to our wedding seem easy and stress-free. We almost started to worry about how un-stressed we were. On the day of, Meg and her team skillfully commanded all the moving parts of a massive wedding machine while remaining near invisible to our guests. I cannot begin to express my eternal gratitude to Meg and everyone at Events by M & M for their hard work and dedication to making our wedding day so special. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement. We write reviews (both good and bad) to help others make informed choices. You will be so happy with Events by M and M!
I got married in Santa Barbara nearly a year ago now...needless to say, this review is long overdue! I am still so thankful for Meg, Noel, and the rest of the team for putting together a beautiful wedding that was so seamless. We could not have asked for any better!
When we began the planning process, my (now) husband and I were looking for someone who could take the reigns, so we decided on the partial package. We had already decided on a venue and photographer, but I wish we had found M and M sooner, because it would have made that process so much easier!
I tend to get overwhelmed with minutiae and can become paralyzed when too many options are presented. Meg was fantastic at helping to narrow things down for us. M and M provided us with a short list of recommended vendors so that we didn't have to constantly sift through numerous websites and reviews, only to then have to play phone/email tag with each one. Not only were their recommendations well qualified, but the list appeared to have a range of prices to choose from.
Meg and Noel were also extremely responsive (both by email and phone), and I always felt better after having talked with them. They listened to my ideas intently, understood exactly what I wanted, and was able to run with it and make fitting suggestions when I was totally lost. Meg's warmth and energy leading up to the wedding and on the day of made me feel so at ease and confident that all would go well.
And it did! On the day of the event, everything was set up beautifully as planned, and vendors were on time and working hard. The team made sure that the wedding party stayed on schedule as well, and I was so glad that they made sure my husband and I had a huge plate of food (with time to actually eat it)!
With open communication, superb attention to detail, great listening skills, and a clear love for event planning, you cannot go wrong with Events by M and M. They will definitely take care of you! -

Best Planning and Execution
Meg and her team fulfilled my dream wedding to the best details possible. To think back, I absolutely made the best decision to have them as my wedding planners. My initial contact to Meg was around 6 months before the wedding. Meg was caring and sensitive. She was able to quickly capture my wedding vision and needs after a few phone calls and email exchanges. Her design board presented so many beautiful details that matches our styles and personalities, some of which I was not even aware of before. What I appreciated the most was they left me with no stress and any possible hectic from the planning, so I really enjoyed my time of almost being a worry-free bride-to-be. On the wedding day, Meg made sure everything was carried out smoothly. Her passion and sunny personality was such an impeccable part that everyone enjoyed.-

Unforgettable, Perfect, Beautiful, Stress-Free Day
Let's face it. Like many other brides, I am a bit of a control freak. Or a "boss" as I'd say. Handing over the reigns to execute the most important day in our lives was not easy to think about at first. BUT, once I began working with Meg and her amazing team at M&M Events, those worries simply melted away.
From our initial budget and planning meeting - when I literally knew nothing about where to start - to the rehearsal, Meg and her team were professional, informative, and able to offer their industry experience to get me and my husband started. We selected M&M Events for their coordination package, where they assisted coordinating set up and tear down of our vendors and day-of coordination of events. This helped us have a completely seamless event that literally went off without a hitch. We had about 100 guests at a beautiful venue in the arts district in Los Angeles, and my guests are still saying almost a year later that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. M&M Events allowed us to create our unique vision and bring it to life perfectly. We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of working with them and they get my highest recommendations! I've also attended several of their weddings as a guest - and they are no exception. The best I have been to. Thank you M&M Events for all you did for my husband and I to have the perfect wedding!-

The BEST wedding planner- Events by M&M!
We had such a great experience with Events by M&M. My husband and I got married 5/27/18 and would not have been able to pull off the wedding without Meg. She was very responsive with emails, detail-oriented, and made helpful charts and itinerary leading up to the wedding. Meg allowed me to have a stress-free day by directing and communicating with all vendors, helping with layout and decor, and pulling off my dream intimate wedding. I would definitely recommend Events by M&M to all of my friends and relatives. I honestly cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us on our special day. -

Everything was so amazing that I do not even know where to begin! From the moment that my husband and I started working with Meg and Noel we knew we were in great hands. They were so professional and nice! They were so organized and helped keep me on track, which I definitely needed! They did not make me feel pressured with time requirements as they planned everything out so perfectly! When my husband and I met them at our walk through, it was even more confirmed that I would not have to worry about anything going wrong on our wedding day. Two years...two years of planning this wedding event for 100 people and just like that it was over in eight hours. It was a pleasure working with you and Noel. Noel was amazing, to say the least. Noel was alert, attentive, welcoming and such a hard worker on Friday. Our family is a tad needy and you took control of each scenario polity, professional but firm. Your entire team was amazing. Your responsiveness was amazing when a situation was brought to your attention for whatever the reason was, you and your team was there to step in and mediate the situation immediately. Our family was ranting and raving how you gave clear and concise directions throughout the wedding rehearsal and most importantly with our mom’s fear of heights. Events by M & M professionalism far exceeded our expectations and the overall vision we were going towards. Definitely, such a memorable event that will never be forgotten.

I was incredibly nervous on my wedding day, and had no idea what to expect. I'm SO HAPPY that Noel was present because she TOOK CARE OF BUSINESS! My wedding was absolutely beautiful, and even exceeded my expectations! She handled EVERYTHING from deliveries, getting guests to their places, decorations, event timeline, she even helped me put on my veil before I walked! Honestly, out of everything spent on the wedding, SHE was the MOST important. My wedding would have been a mess without her running around and handling EVERYTHING! -

We booked Events by M and M for Week of/Day of Coordination services. Easily one of the best choices I made during my wedding planning process! Meg and Mary were super helpful and super sweet and Meg made me feel so comfortable and was very tolerant of my quirkiness! They helped me stay organized and focused, and talked me through all the little details that I wasn’t sure of! I’m a very indecisive person, and Meg helped me process things in a way that not only helped me MAKE the choice, but helped me make a good choice! Even though I did the “planning” piece myself, Meg is the one who really brought everything together that day and made my vision come to life. On the day of, Meg ensured every detail was perfect! Even things that I hadn’t thought of! She filled all the gaps. And to top it all off, Meg sure that I was taken care of that day. She helped me stay calm, and not feel rushed or in a hurry. She made me feel like my needs were priority and she made sure that I was happy every second of that day! I absolutely adored her and her team and would recommend them 1,000 times over. We loved using Events by M and M, we did the week of package with Mary and I can confidently say it was worth every penny! The last couple of weeks leading up to the wedding was extremely stressful for us, but Mary stepped in and kind of took the reins when we were overwhelmed and assured us that everything would come together beautifully... and she was right! She helped make sure the venue set up was on point and done in time, the ceremony went so smoothly, she kept us on schedule so we didn't miss any of the important moments, and she really let us enjoy our wedding without worrying about vendors and deliveries and setup/clean up. I had the best day of my life a little over 5 months ago and I attribute my stress-free and magical day on large part to Weg West and her staff. Through the entire process Meg was very professional, organized, and had many great ideas. She was also flexible and understanding when my husband and I wanted to do things a little "different" than most weddings. I hate writing reviews, but after all that Meg and her team did for me and my new husband - it has to be done! Both of us work 80+ hours/week as residents and so we knew we had to hire a full package wedding planner. The moment I spoke to Meg on the phone, I knew that even though her price was slightly above our budget, I wanted to go with her because I felt an instant connection. She promised to make the wedding unique to us with special personal touches...and she certainly did! So many of our guests can't stop raving about our wedding, and how it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they had ever been to, and how it was SO "us". Throughout the planning process, Meg had to deal with me being indecisive, constantly too busy to look at vendors and venues and rentals, but still was so accommodating. She knew how busy our schedules were, and would schedule everything all in one go for us. She came to all of our cake tastings, venues and meetings with us (!! not true of most planners). She talked me through all of my freak out moments and made sure I was comfortable with every decision I made. I basically inundated her with 1000 photos of weddings I liked, and she made sense of all of it, created a theme, the decor, the colors and planned the wedding of my dreams!! I took 2 weeks off before the wedding to prep all of the "DIY" type things that needed to be done before the wedding - but of course, Meg and her team went above and beyond and took care of everything for me, so that I could focus on getting myself ready!!! Even on the day of, our bridal party commented how professional Meg and her team were and how perfect she was as a wedding planner - type A go getter get things done personality, but still so sweet. I rarely give anyone 5 stars for anything because I have such high expectations, but Meg exceeded all of them! I am so glad I ended up going with her, she is worth way way more than we paid for her! Thank you so so much Meg!! -

Loved working with Meg and her team. I plan educational events for a living and my husband didn't want to look at me at the altar and see me not being present. He knew if we didn't get a planner I'd be running lists in my head. With Meg on board everything was so smooth. We had a partial planning package and it helped so much!! Every question I had, she had an answer or handled the issue. The hotel catering manager changed three weeks out but it was ok because Meg was there.
As I peeked out the window to the ceremony site, EVERY touch we discussed was in place. We had a unique entrance into the hall. Meg made it happen. When my dress pleats were being torn because my dress was being stepped on, Meg was prepared and fixed it right outside the reception and I returned with little time lost!!!. Amazingly prepared.
I had the best wedding and reception because of Team M and M. -

My wife and I were married on 3/5/16 and Meg was our week of coordinator for our reception only (the church venue came with a coordinator). After reading Cindy P's review, I'm simply just going to piggyback her glowing review.

When you read that Meg goes "above and beyond", this is true. When my wife and I were taking a short break between the ceremony & the reception to grab some things from our hotel room, I went in to find our room was cleaned and Meg had left a bottle of champagne (which we quickly guzzled haha).
Literally, the transition from the church ceremony to the reception was FLAWLESS. Never once did my wife and I ever wonder what was going on, who was where, what was next. There were no hiccups or bumps in the road and if there was, my wife and I certainly didn't know about it. My vendors were VERY impressed with her timeline guide she provided them for the order of events for the reception.
We were SO impressed with the work M & M did for us, as they were such an important part of our reception. The night went by so fast and if I could do it over, I definitely would have grabbed the mic and gave M & M a standing ovation for all the work they put into our special night. #FLAWLESS

My daughter and her husband had a very beautiful beach wedding at Mandalay Beach Embassy Suites on 9//12/15. Meg West of the Events by M & M and her assistant were contracted for the day of wedding coordinator and were a very big part of making my daughter's wedding a success! Meg knew what to to do with everything and made it so relaxing for my daughter and I not to worry about the event at all. Meg took so much initiative and coordinated the events from the wedding rehearsal to the actual wedding ceremony and reception so effortlessly. She knew exactly how we wanted our decorations (we did a lot of DIY decors) were to be distributed at the ceremony as well as the cocktail and reception areas just from one meeting after the wedding rehearsal the day before. She also made herself available for questions even weeks before the wedding. I strongly and very highly recommend Meg and her staff to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator. M&M events was our absolute savior for our wedding this August. We did the month-of coordination package and I don't know what we would have done without them. I have planned very large events before and thought planning my wedding would be a snap. I was mistaken. Month-of , or at the least, day-of coordination is a 100% necessary investment for your wedding. Meg wasn't just helpful in finding amazing vendors, she was peace of mind when I needed someone to calm me down and she and her team were absolutely GENIUS day of.
Meg and Becky handled all curevballs seamlessly and took everything and kicked it up a notch.
For instance,I bought 150 donuts for dessert, rented the table, linen and gold stands, but sort of forgot about decor past that as the cake was my main focus. Meg got creative and took candles from other areas, repurposed bridesmaids' bouquets and a wood stand from our ceremony florals and took a Marquee S I bought and created an insanely beautiful donut bar. It was one of the highlights of the night and guests couldn't stop talking about it!
Another detail I hadn't thought of was clean up... because it was at my Grandma's house, when we showed up the next morning I expected to still have a lot of clean up to do- I figured we would have trash to gather, vases and candles to organize, decor to box up... Meg and her team had left us NOTHING to do. They had organized all our candles, decor, etc to a T. All trash was bagged and organized. All leftover food be it cake or hors d oeuvres had been doggie bagged and put in the fridge, it was absolutely spectacular.
They kept everything on schedule and handled vendor arrival times etc so my day was stress free.. I can't thank M&M enough for everything they did, I could go on and on about all the special details they put into our day, but I think you get the idea. Highly recommend! -

Meg is a genie in the bottle. Everything I wish for my wedding came true because of the work of her and her team. I might not be the best bride to work with since I am extremely detail orientated and know exactly what I want but yet I do a lost here and there. She was able to handle everything so smoothly. SO PROFESSIONAL with YEARS AND YEARS of experiences.
Lets see, I had nervous breakdowns she calm me down. My husband and I fought over everything, she mediated us to a solution. I wanted very specific details at the wedding, she made it happened. I had issues with vendors, she straight them up. I live up NorCal and the wedding was in SoCal, she helped me handled things even storing decors and transporting stuffs to the venue and not leaving anything behind. I wanted great vendors at a good prices, she had a list.
I wanted to get featured and she helped us achieve it. We are getting featured btw! Her guidance with our theme and saying no to certain things help us created a perfect and floating wedding.

Meg was really helpful in making my vision for the wedding come true. She went above and beyond to make sure my dream wedding was a success. She went so far as to help make really sweet place card tags and table numbers and escort cards (for a small fee) that looked lovely. She was on top of it the day of, keeping everyone in line and she worked really well with my vendors. They all love working with her. She was incredibly patient with me and always had a positive attitude - which I needed because I never envisioned myself throwing a party like this. Meg was our event coordinator at our wedding last weekend at Sherwood Country Club. She did an amazing job! We could not have asked for the night to go any smoother. I had a candy bar set up and she even brought in some of her own stands to make it look fantastic. Throughout the whole evening, she made sure I was okay and at the end, everything was all packed up and loaded into our car. I didn't even notice when all of that was taking place. The tool on my dress started to unravel so I went into the bridal suite to figure out how to fix it and she came to the rescue pinning it up. She is super organized and has a cheery personality. My husband was really impressed with everything she did and even commented a few times after the wedding how she went above and beyond the duties of a coordinator. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would! -

I can't stress enough how glad I am I hired a planner for my wedding! It is so overwhelming when you start having to make decisions and vendors are asking you questions you never considered. Meg and Abbie at Events by M&M helped my wedding feel cohesive and well planned. No one had to ask me a thing the whole day and it was amazing how calm and serene I felt knowing someone else was making sure the details were being looked after. We planned to do our wedding on our own at first because we had an idea of what we wanted but soon realized that there was a LOT more to putting something like that together than we realized. Then a friend referred us to Events by M and M. Meg, when presented with our ideas, took them all into consideration, designed a plan, and then somehow managed to create an event that reached far beyond any expectations we may have had. Not one little detail was overlooked. Every single aspect - including those we had no idea even existed - was handled with enthusiastic, friendly professionalism, leaving us to experience our most special of days completely free of stress. What a blessing! There aren't enough stars here to rate M and M Events properly, so five will just have to do. Meg was so awesome with helping coordinate the biggest day of my life! She helped make all my little details come to life on the day, and she helped keep everyone organized and calm. She had so many great ideas she brought to the table i was astonished!! Her taste and keen eye for design is impeccable.
My favorite part of her service was she added some custom menu/thank u cards for the tables that really made the wedding more personalized. This was a great idea amongst other little touches she brought to the wedding designs.
My husband and i were also surprised at the end of a day to find champagne, candles and a sweet card set up in the honeymoon suite thanking us from Events by M and M.
We also had live music during the arrivals/ceremony provided my Mike West and i couldn't have been more pleased with the vibe that he created.

Events by M and M is fantastic! I cannot say enough about how amazing Meg is to work with! My wedding was a semi-destination wedding (7 hours from my home), and Meg made it practically painless to handle everything from afar. I was a do-it yourself bride and she was extremely helpful with the difficult decisions and especially my moments of indecisiveness. I would HIGHLY recommend Meg for any style of bride though. Meg was such a lifesaver and an amazing help when it came to our wedding! Being it was a destination wedding, she was my eyes and ears in Santa Barbara and made it so much more reassuring because I knew here her recommendations and suggestions were excellent. There wasn't a task too little or too big she couldn't handle or was willing to help with. She took just enough off my plate for me to still feel like I had a handle on what was being planned but could relax. The day of the wedding Meg was on her game! Even with a slight hiccups, she stayed calm and made me feel like all would be okay. I really felt like she was in control and our wedding was her "baby" as she circled the venue and kept everything in order. It made me be able to relax and just be a bride. I would highly recommend her for your big day and was so thankful to have her! Plus she very reasonably priced, professional and worth every penny. My event by M was awesome! -

When I first began the planning process and with 250 guests, I was frantic at the thought of missing details and I was completely stressed out! I knew I needed a coordinator. I called Meg a few months into the planning process looking for guidance and a day of package. She was so nice to speak with, we talked about everything from package options to some of the small details that I had in mind. There were already a few kinks in my plan and Meg helped me iron them out in the consult. I really got the impression that she had me and my wedding’s best interest at heart! We ended up going with her Partial Planning Package and I can honestly say that we had the most fun working with her! Her ideas were fresh and completely in line with the vision we had expressed to her in our early meetings. She made sure to check in with me often to make sure that I had a listening ear and to make sure that we were always on the same page.
My wedding day was perfect and I didn't have to do a thing!!... Our guests are still raving about it! I always knew I needed help for the day of, but Meg & her team gave me so much more! She handled virtually every detail of my wedding including; advice and referrals, communication with all vendors, set up and take down of event, creating, setting, and overseeing the itinerary, ensuring quality of service throughout the day/evening, and the list goes on... They are all incredibly nice and supportive, along with being very good at their jobs. It was great being able to refer vendor/guest questions to them and come to them with any concerns of my own. M and M didn't do our wedding, but I'm writing because of the excellent advice and information that Meg gave us FREE as we discussed our plans. She decided it was better for us to do our low-budget, DIY wedding ourselves, that it really wasn't all that necessary to hire her services. This is very unusual for a vendor to say. She gave me suggestions and the procedure for obtaining a variety of locations at the ocean for our desired beach wedding. It was her ideas that gave us the incentive and luck in finding exactly the right place. Thank you Meg! -

We were so impressed with Meg!! We actually started out with a different wedding planner and ended up letting her go because she was not cutting it. Meg is professional, on top of things and has a very creative eye. We will recommend her to any and all of of friends and family getting married in the future. Meg was wonderful to work with and super helpful on many levels! I thought I would be able to plan and pull off my wedding on my own, but had heard a lot of advice from other brides, websites, etc that said GET A WEDDING PLANNER! When I met Meg, I immediately liked her, she shares my same no B.S. personality, she is super organized (which I am too), and she full of wonderful ideas,tips and advice, which I needed! Once we hired Meg she was accessible to me right away via email and phone. She helped me find a florist, Jamey Youngblood, a family friend of hers who did an absolutely amazing job. She also helped me find a cupcake vendor, her favorite cupcake place in Thousand Oaks, the cupcakes were a huge hit! Furthermore, she helped keep me sane throughout the process, whenever I thought I was forgetting something, like some small detail we would go over everything and she would ensure me that I had thought of everything... And she was great just to bounce idea off of!
Meg did our rehearsal, which was essential to get everyone on the same page. She provided me with all these great checklists, vendor checklists, day-of checklists, etc, these were a huge help and provided me with additional reassurance that everything would be accounted for. Meg contacted all of the vendors the week of the wedding to make sure everything was on track, she also provided everyone with a detailed schedule for the big day.
Meg was definitely key in making sure our wedding day went off without a hitch, which it did! She helped the whole day flow smoothly and if things changed, or didn't go as planned throughout the day, no one even noticed! We would definitely recommend using Meg to help you plan your special day, she was a huge help to us!! I really think every bride can benefit from having a wedding coordinator, Meg helped keep me sane and helped relieve me of a lot of the wedding planning stress! Our wedding was a perfect day... Everything we could have imagined and more!! -

Meg was really great to work with. She was my week of coordinator but made herself available to me by email from the moment I hired her. Not only is Meg a very nice person, but also very professional and affordable. During the week of the wedding Meg contacted all of our vendors for us to make sure everything was on track. She also offers DIY projects that she does in-house and had great ideas for the decor of our ceremony and reception. The DIY she did for us was very affordable and some she threw in for free! She created a completely unique photo-board for our photo booth pics and guest cards. She did beautiful sparkly color votives to match our color theme, pedestals for our flower centerpieces to add depth to the tables, and she even made my bridal toss bouquet for me. Meg was there running the rehearsal the night before the wedding. She helped calm me down when I was panicking a little with pre-wedding jitters. She got everyone in order and made sure everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing. The day of the wedding Meg made sure all my vendors were paid. She took care of decorating and setting up the place cards, gift table, and photo-board. I didn't even see anything until the moment I walked down the aisle and she did an amazing job. Everything was perfect and beautiful. She even added her own touch here and there and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. As the night went on she discretely was in and out checking on us to make sure we were happy and our guests were happy. She also has this awesome emergency kit bag that has everything you can imagine in it. Halfway through the night my bustle came undone from dancing too hard and she got her magical bag and went to work pinning it back. So overall she was so great and a real pleasure to work with. Meg made sure that our wedding ran smoothly and we didn't have a care or worry the whole night. It was the best day of my life and I know Meg had a huge part in that. Thank you for everything Meg! -

Working in the wedding industry, I thought I had my own wedding under control (ya right!). The closer the wedding came, I started stressing about the minor details that surrounds a wedding, like who will tell the vendors where to go on the day of, etc. I certainly did not want to be thinking about that on my wedding day! Then my husband and I hired Meg West, and I cannot tell you how happy I am that we did! Meg is so personable, organized, and professional. She completely got the whole look and feel that we were trying to accomplish on the day of. I knew I could trust her to take care of everything! When you first meet Meg West you will think 3 things: 1) She is confident, 2) She has a strong personality, and 3) She has done this before! When you are spending tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding it only makes sense to have someone ensuring that everything comes together smoothly. Let me assure you that Meg and Events by M&M are the ones for the job. When meeting her you will think as I did, "This is the person I want in control of my wedding day and wrangling all of the vendors." She gets sh** done. We had a complete DIY wedding with a lot of moving pieces and no onsite coordination at either our ceremony or reception venues. Meg's team did a fantastic job and continually guided the flow of the entire occasion so we were always where we needed to be without feeling stressed. Nothing will ever go as planned with weddings and as you plan yours you will hear horror stories from family and friends. It just so happened that the weekend of our wedding there was a tragedy and Meg was unable to personally attend our event. She had an entire team that showed up led by Becky to make sure our day still went off without a hitch. Whenever we turned around Becky was there with instructions or a helpful bottle of water. Even when an emergency happened, Meg still made sure that we had the help and guidance that our event needed to be successful and we could not have been happier with the result. Our wedding day went off without a hitch because of Meg. Everyone warned us that something will inevitably go wrong and that we need to just go with the flow. By the end of the night, we both felt that we were unique and NOTHING had gone wrong - the day/night was absolutely perfect. It wasn't until days later that Meg disclosed a few issues she had with one particular vendor - it was some pretty major stuff, but she managed it and fixed it without any of us knowing. She's incredible and am so happy we booked her! On a side note, her design vision and vendor recommendations are spot on (the vendor we had issues with was NOT her reco). I questioned her a few times, and I was always wrong. She's awesome and I'd recommend to any and all friends. -

I wish I could be writing a positive review for this company. I spoke with Meg, the owner a while back and she was absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful and made us feel stress-free. With that, we decided to book. Unfortunately, we didn't get Meg as our coordinator.
We only got the day-of package... which consisted of any type of planning and consulting you needed prior to the big day via email/phone call. We had a couple emails back and forth, and everything seemed fine until about 2 weeks before the wedding.
Mary was the planner/coordinator assigned to our wedding. The good news is, she is a very hard worker and so were her assistants. But her attitude and opinionated comments were where it went downhill for me. She didn't seem to care how I wanted things to go, and went about her routine, without caring what our requests were. Mind you, we weren't asking for something crazy, but we had a some specific aspects of our day that we hoped would be accommodated to our standards.
Our guests were not directed to the ceremony space as they were supposed to be, our tables had been set up wrong, Our timeline was executed incorrectly, a whole cake was wasted, and I was left with a sour taste in my mouth about the coordinator, Mary. I would still recommend this company to someone looking for a coordinator, but would recommend that you ask for a different coordinator than Mary. -

I have mixed feeling about my experience with M&M. I really liked Meg and had a great walk through with her. Then at my rehearsal I had Noel. I guess I wish I would have known I wasn't going to be working with Meg on my actual wedding. Noel didn't seen to be as on top of things as Meg, I had to tell her about changes we had made in emails with Meg and I felt like I still had to take the lead on certain things. The day of the wedding I didn't feel like they made sure everyone knew when they should be doing what like toast times and transition points, and at a certain point Mary rolled her eyes at my bridesmaid's question. Also, for whatever reason they would not put out the candy bar I had brought for the wedding. I am guessing it is because I didn't rent the vases through them, but they set up absolutely everything else I brought and gave met he complete run around about who should be putting that out at the reception (they took the materials from me, then said catering would do it, which did not happen). Overall I felt lukewarm about the team I had the day of the wedding. Not horrible, not great. I probably wouldn't use them again. -
