Luciana and Masumi were wonderful to work with! From meticulously planning our timeline, seamlessly coordinating with vendors, picking up our princess cakes, setting up decorations, they ensured our wedding reception at Almond & Oak restaurant in Oakland was seamless. What truly stood out was their commitment to inclusivity; they embraced our desire to work with LGBT vendors, including a drag queen, and they also brought their own invaluable perspective to our wedding planning. Luciana's dedication and attention to detail made everything flow effortlessly, and Masumi's advice on decor was incredibly helpful. Thank you, Luciana and Masumi, for everything! -

The Greatest Investment for Our Wedding
Luciana and Masumi made our dream come true. From small details of design and florals to finding pro LGBT vendors for us to feel safe on our special day. They were able to handle any crisis day of and made any last minute accommodations possible. Words cannot express how grateful my wife and I are for these two! Their patience and hard work turned our wedding day into a stress free day we will cherish forever. -

My wife and I are SO grateful for Luciana and Masumi from Events by GS! We got married in Saratoga, California last month and they made sure everything went beautifully. We worked with them for over a year and they helped us find queer affirming vendors, provided most of our decor through their personal collection, and coordinated everything on our wedding day perfectly. We went through a LONG venue hunt and they were there every step of the way. It was truly the easiest money I have ever spent - if you're looking for lgbtq+ coordinators who will become your friends, who are hands on and so kind, that will make it so you can feel calm, present, and happy on your wedding day... you can stop looking, because you've found them. -

Out of the myriad of decisions we had to make while planning our wedding, the best (and easiest, in hindsight!) was to hire Events by GS. The week before our wedding we were told by several close friends and family that we seemed “totally at ease” and “not stressed at all” as we headed toward the biggest day of our life – and it was totally true, thanks to them.
Don’t get us wrong, no wedding (or the year of planning) is completely stress free, or hiccup free. But our partnership (and it was completely a partnership!) with Luciana and Masumi kept us on track, focused, and calm. Luciana’s past experience in the hospitality industry meant she knew how to navigate not only the obvious parts of the event, like menu and music, but also the hidden parts, like timelines and contracts. Masumi’s design expertise brought all of our ideas to life; we came to the table with general ideas like colors and “vibe,” but she was able to pull it all together in a cohesive and exciting vision. Both of their professional connections put us in touch with some of the best vendors available in San Francisco, and don’t get us started on the “Day Of” operations! I’ve never seen two individuals work harder and smarter than these two, and everything went off without a hitch.
The reality is modern day weddings have a lot of complex, moving pieces to keep track of. But all anyone wants is for it to be about the couple, their love, and sharing it with friends and family. Thanks to Events by GS, that’s exactly how we experienced our wedding day – and we’ll be forever grateful.

Wow, wow, wow, it has been a month since our wedding, and we still don't know where to begin to describe all the ways Luciana and Masumi made our day so perfect. They were very well versed in LGBTQ+ weddings and had good ideas for how to incorporate our cultures and families while also creating new traditions. In the days leading up to the wedding and on the day itself, we had multiple people say how calm and relaxed we both seemed about everything, but that was because we knew we were in good hands with Luciana and Masumi.
From moment one, Luciana was responsive and professional. She asked great questions and kept us on task. We went with the month of service, as we already had vendors picked out, but Luciana went above and beyond the agreed upon service and started ramping up three months before our wedding day. Our other vendors also remarked on how easy it was to work with Luciana. When the day came, she took care of the little details that we had missed - I still don't even know how she did it all. She even took care of our dog, Toby, during the ceremony and was incredibly gracious when he took off at the end of the ceremony and nearly pulled her off a steep cliff!
Masumi has an incredible eye for design and listened impeccably to what we were hoping for. She not only took what our ideas were and built on them, she was also able to gently steer us away from choices that ultimately wouldn't have meshed with the vibe we were going for. The signage and flowers she put together were stunning and even better than what we had imagined in our heads. She stayed back at the reception venue, and we will never forget her being there to greet us with our signature cocktails - with all of the set-up done impeccably.
We are incredibly grateful to both Luciana and Masumi, and we would highly recommend them to anyone getting married or putting on an event. -

We are so thankful for Events by GS! We hired Luciana and Masumi as our month-of coordinators for our San Francisco wedding. We truly could not have executed our multi-location event without their expertise and organization.
We had multiple video calls and site visits with Luciana in the three months leading up to the big day. She created a seamless timeline and provided excellent industry guidance while we finalized contracts with our vendors. It was such a relief to hand over the vendor contacts to Luciana and the design/layout to Masumi because we knew we were in good hands.
Luciana and Masumi had also worked with our reception venue, Stable Cafe, on multiple occasions and had an excellent working relationship with the venue. You can tell how amazing they are by the strength of their industry connections!
Both Luciana and Masumi were extraordinary on our wedding day. They managed hiccups without us even knowing and kept the party going alllllll day. Most importantly though, all of our friends and family loved them as much as we do! -

How do I start? Since our first meeting, I knew that they were the right people to go through that wedding journey with us. Luciana and Masumi are two amazing people! Regardless of us feeling stressed with the planning, every time we had a meeting with them, we would get out of there feeling better. They always had a positive attitude and a solution for everything. The other vendors and venue coordinator were blown away by their organization and how they’ve handled all situations with a smile. Last minute changes? They knew what to do, how to help and guide us.
All the details were amazing on our wedding day, the organization - again, was fantastic. Decoration? Amazing! Attention to detail since the beginning was 100%.
I was very anxious and nervous before the ceremony and Luciana was really an angel at that moment. She was so kind, patient. She made sure I felt secure and comfortable. My mom and I will never forget that.
They both brought such positive energy to our wedding and all of our guests couldn’t stop talking about it.
Thank you SO much Luciana and Masumi for everything you did for us. We couldn’t have done it without you. -

Amazing planning and design team with extreme attention to detail
I could not imagine our wedding celebration without the help of Luciana and Masumi at Events by GS making our vision a reality (and often helping us get to the vision part too!). They are an incredible team that kept us organized, on track, and sane leading up to our celebration. Every time we got on the phone with them for a check in—regardless of how stressed we were feeling—we always ended the call with a smile and assurance that everything was on track (or what we needed to do to get there).
As a gay couple, it was also important to us to have a planning team that would help us think through the non-traditional nuances that come with a same-sex wedding as well as find a set of vendors that were unwaveringly pro-LGBTQ+. In addition to their excellence in planning and design, Luciana and Masumi were able to empathize and execute on these details, which further put our mind at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our celebration.
I can’t recommend Events by GS highly enough. Luciana and Masumi—thank you for helping us create a day that we’ll truly remember forever! -

If I could give 1,000,000 5 stars to Luciana and Masumi on this platform I would! Luciana and Masumi designed and planned my dream modern Chinese wedding and my husband and I were completely blown away by the details. Our guests still rave about how much fun and unique our wedding was!
I was referred to Luciana and Masumi by our photographer Hannah from Hannah Berglund Photography as she’s worked with this power couple for multiple weddings and raved that they were extremely hard-working, detail-oriented, and overall a fun spirit to be around. It was important to me that my vendors enjoy working with each other so I had my call with Luciana and the rest was history.
We hired Luciana and Masumi for partial planning and design - but I’m going to be honest, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND just partial planning to make our day the best day of our lives. The past year working with them was so enjoyable and stress-free. They would show up to every single venue walk-through we had with our vendors just to make sure every detail was ironed out for the big day. Masumi also has a brilliant design eye and created a mood board based off of the most important qualities my husband and I had and in the end it was executed to perfection.
During the day of the event, they did everything and more. Here are only some of the details I noticed that took away all the weight off our shoulders: 1) They stayed beyond their contract hours to pack up all of our linens/napkins to be returned back to our rental vendors 2) they loaned us some of their personal decor and it elevated our reception even more 3) THEY HANDLED WEDDING CRASHERS WITH GRACE. We had no idea there were crashers but Luciana came to us mid-dinner and says “they’re taken care of” - talk about a secret agent! 4) Luciana held my veil up for some iconic photography shots since the wind started to pick up 5) We were behind schedule for cake cutting after returning from couple photos but Masumi acted so quickly and moved our cake table from our sweetheart table to the dance floor which ended up being the most iconic SF cake cutting location (photos attached).
Overall, Luciana and Masumi are a dream team to have as planners and I am happy to say that we are looking forward to remaining close even after our dream day. THANK YOU LUCIANA AND MASUMI FOR EVERYTHING! -

Luciana and Masumi are insanely effective at what they do. We had a lot of great experiences with vendors at our wedding, but these two were easily my favorite. Their confidence, enthusiasm and experience made the day of the wedding so much easier to enjoy. They would proactively think about all of the minor details and organized our agenda thoroughly so that everything went smoothly at the wedding. It was the best day of my life, and I owe much of that feeling to their hard work. If you're considering them for your event, I would save yourself the time and just set up a call with them before you consider anyone else. They are so much fun and after just a few minutes of talking to them, it becomes obvious that you're in good hands. I feel so lucky that we had them at our wedding. I hope that you get to work with them as well. -

Luciana and Masumi made planning the wedding MUCH MUCH MUCH easier than it would have been without them! My wife and I had zero idea what we wanted for a wedding other than "forest". They guided us through the process and kept everything humming along. They were able to work with us to figure everything out but also worked behind the scenes with the various vendors & venue. For everything, they had shortlisted a few vendors ready to go and we could look and choose who we wanted. They were always communicative and clear about what the timeline required and what was needed.
Then on the wedding day, they were on top of everything and took a load off of our shoulders. Luciana and Masumi were also well-loved by the family even when they were prodding everyone to get to the right places at the right time (e.g. time to get on the shuttles to the ceremony/time to get back onto the shuttles/time to do the first look/time for dinner...). Our wedding party had people from different continents, completely different cultures, and all of them loved Luciana and Masumi.
