Our wedding!
Our wedding went absolutely fantastic with having Beth by our side throughout the whole process. Without Beth, none of our wedding day would have been possible. She was always there to answer questions, make new suggestions, always down for a Zoom meeting, and helped make our ideas and visions come to life. If we did not hire Beth as our full time planner I would have been so stressed, concerned about what was done and not done, and not knowing what the next steps would be for the wedding. Beth is absolutely amazing and worth every penny!
Beth was always positive, always had a smile on her face, and was always determined to make our dream wedding come true! -

My husband wanted a wedding planner and I was hesitant because I was trying to save money, but let me tell you.... I do NOT regret getting Beth as our wedding planner! She calmed my nerves during the entire wedding planning process which helped keep me sane. I loved how much knowledge she has in the Outer Banks wedding industry. I truly believe that is the reason our wedding day turned out perfectly. She made sure I had every little detail down to a tee. I did not think of half the things she reminded me of! My husband and I are so thankful for Beth and her team! Our day was so smooth because of them. 10/10! -

We cannot say enough amazing things about Beth, our incredible wedding planner for our Manteo, NC wedding! From start to finish, Beth with Engaging Events made the entire planning process smooth, stress-free, and actually fun. She was so organized, thoughtful, and completely on top of every single detail – we truly didn’t have to worry about anything.
Her calm presence and expert guidance allowed us to fully enjoy our day without distractions or stress. Every element came together perfectly – the timing, the decor, the vendors – all thanks to Beth’s hard work behind the scenes. It felt like she read our minds and brought our vision to life better than we could have imagined.

Beth Made It Possible for Me to Truly Enjoy My Daughter’s Wedding
Beth with Engaging Events OBX was absolutely incredible to work with as my daughter’s wedding planner. She came highly recommended to us by someone we met while visiting the Outer Banks, and it was easy to see why she has such an outstanding reputation.
From the very beginning, Beth made the entire planning process fun and stress-free. Over the course of about a year, we thoroughly enjoyed our Zoom calls with her, she kept everything organized, offered creative guidance, and connected us with the most amazing vendors who perfectly matched my daughter’s vision and style.
On the wedding day, everything was seamless. Beth and her team handled every detail flawlessly, which allowed me, as the mother of the bride, to do something I never thought possible: fully relax and truly enjoy my daughter’s wedding. So many people told me beforehand that the MOB never gets to just “show up and enjoy” but they were wrong. With Beth by our side, I was able to soak in every moment.
I cannot recommend Beth and Engaging Events OBX enough. She made the entire experience, from planning to the big day itself, absolutely unforgettable. -

Beth is amazing
Beth was absolutely amazing, and we cannot recommend her enough! We live in Virginia, and she gave us fantastic recommendations for other local vendors, all of whom were wonderful. We had monthly/weekly Zoom meetings to review flowers, cake, schedule, and more, and she was always available for calls and texts whenever we needed her. We booked her full-service package and spent over a year planning with her, and she made the entire process seamless. Beth kept us on track, eased all the stress, and handled every bit of vendor coordination. You must use her for a wedding in the Outer Banks — she was there for us every single step of the way! -

She is truly the BEST
Beth was AMAZING from start to finish. I had no idea what I was getting into with the wedding world and how everything worked - the processes, timelines, etc. She reassured me she'd help every step of the way and she went above and beyond. Our wedding day was stress-free and as perfect as we imagined, and we truly owe it all to her. Beth knows all the best local vendors, venues, and I am SO happy I went with her recommendations. Best wedding planner ever
Beth was truly the best wedding planner I could have asked for. What could have been seen as a crisis wasn’t because of the way Beth handled things. She was on top of everything, super communicative, and just honestly one of the nicest people you could ever work with. She gave amazing recommendations for vendors. The day of your wedding you truly can sit back and relax knowing she’s is handling everything. 12/10 experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better planner. -

Great experience
Beth was a wonderful coordinator. She went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared for the big day in the months leading up to it and that everything went off without a hitch. She was in full support of everything I had in mind and offered super helpful suggestions on things I didn’t have strong opinions about. We planned the wedding from afar and Beth was always great at making sure we could visualize and understand all our options. Beth offered by far the best value for her coordinating services compared to other options we considered and we are ecstatic with the wedding she helped us have. -

Best Coordinator on the OBX
Wow, where to start...Beth came highly recommended by many of my girlfriends who previously got married here on the Outer Banks. As someone who grew up here, I wanted to find someone who specialized in Outer Banks weddings and could elevate our ceremony and reception to a classy, southern and fun affair! My mom and I hired Beth as our "Day of" Coordinator, but she really stepped in to be the "final couple months" coordinator because she really brought our ceremony and reception to life. Her knowledge and professionalism were exactly what we needed to take everything next level and get organized. Her close relationship with all the vendors, including Carolina Roots Rentals was the key that made everything more elevated and run smoothly. Carolina Roots Rentals worked with Beth in making my dream ceremony come to life with exquisite chairs, benches, bar cart and accessories -- they are a Power Team together! Beth really cared about what we wanted and listened to my mom and I for hours about our hopes for the day. She was always available over text and a friendly face over zoom. I only have great things to say about Beth and would recommend her to anyone if they are looking for a planner or coordinator. I almost forgot to mention that my bridal party had 11 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen. Beth was able to wrangle with grace our entire party and keep everyone in line and on time. I could go on and on, but I just want to say thank you to Beth, you made my dream wedding day come true! -

The best wedding planner on the beach
Beth is hands down the best wedding planner on the beach. She is supportive, kind, professional and intelligent! Her work is absolutely gorgeous! As the bride, having beth at my side kept me sane and organized throughout the crazy wedding planning process. She gives the best advice, has great ideas, and is very supportive. She works hard to ensure every detail and moment of your wedding is exactly what you have dreamt of and more. She handles difficult situations with grace. For example, it poured rain the day of our wedding and we had to change venue last minute…beth somehow waved her magic wand and created the PERFECT indoor wedding along with the other vendors with what seemed to be with ease and a big friendly smile. Beth was absolutely amazing! We met several times leading up to the wedding and she made sure that all details were noted, organized, and well-communicated. She did the best job communicating with vendors and making sure everyone was on the same page. We accidentally forgot to tell our officiant our rehearsal time and she was on it and was the one who let him know every detail. My entire family loved working with her. Beth is the best!
Having Beth as our planning was one of the best decisions we made throughout the whole process!
Beth is communicative and detail-oriented, and took care of so many little things that we never would have thought of. She took so much work and stress off our plate, I truly can't imagine doing it without her.
She was highly knowledgable, patient with our indecisiveness, and non-judgemental of even our more unconventional ideas. Everything we wanted, she found a way to make happen!
She went above and beyond every step of the way (she must have visited the Metro Rentals five different times to try different linen combos before we finally made a decision).
On the day, everything went better than we could have imagined! What she provides is truly so valuable, I'd recommend everyone hire her! -

Beth was so amazing to work with. During the whole planning process, she was worth her weight in gold. We got to brag to all of our friends how low-stress planning was thanks to her! She kept us on track throughout the process, answered all our questions, and knew the best vendors to use. Then the day of the wedding, everything ran so smoothly! We made all the decorations and she set everything up so beautifully that is was everything we wanted and more. Her partner day of was also fantastic to work with!
If you're looking for a wedding planner or considering one for an OBX wedding, look no further! Beth should be the top of everyone's list. -

Beth was our day of coordinator for our wedding and she went above and beyond! We had emails and calls for several months before to discuss all sorts of details, and Beth was always happy to help and make recommendations. As my day of planner, she also helped lay out our layout and timeline, which was so helpful. She knew intimate details about my venue and all about the OBX vendors. For the rehearsal and wedding, she had everything under control and I had nothing to worry about. Would definitely recommend as an expert! -

Beth and her team are the best!
I can’t recommend Beth and Engaging Events enough. We hired Beth for full wedding planning package and I worked with her over the last year to put together our wedding. I met with a few other planners in the Outer Banks and Beth’s personality (calm yet extremely professional, well connected, and knowledgeable) was just what I needed. Liz Myers was our day of coordinator since Beth was already confirmed to be onsite at another wedding the same day and she and Kristin knocked it out of the park. They managed to have us out on the back lawn overlooking the water at our venue during a slight break in the rain for the ceremony and once the rain was over set up our cocktail tables and cornhole out from under cover for guests to enjoy during the reception before I could even recognize that was an option. I have received so many compliments from our guests and it wouldn’t have been possible without Engaging Events. -

Beth is the epitome of grace and was instrumental in my daughter's destination wedding being even more perfect than we could have imagined. Throughout all of the planning, she kept our vision front and center, and made recommendations that only enhanced the experience. During the ceremony and reception, she three steps ahead, ensuring all the transitions were seamless. Our guests adored her, and her smile and demeanor removed any nervous anxiety from the day. She is so well organized and creative, and helped us create the most perfect day. I can't recommend her highly enough!! -

We had an absolutely beautiful and well-organized wedding in Manteo thanks to Beth! She was very responsive when I reached out. My husband and I were able to meet Beth in person early on and talk through our big wedding ideas. Months before the wedding, Beth helped with finding vendors and thinking through our timeline. Beth was always prompt and honest in her responses, giving us her best professional advice. Leading up to the wedding, Beth finalized our timeline, solidified details with vendors, and made sure we had everything we needed to be prepared. The day before the wedding, Beth lead the rehearsal, set up decorations, and talked us through final details. She was so patient even when our officiant was an hour late! The wedding was perfect and ran smoothly—-we didn’t have to worry about a thing. I’m so so so happy we chose Beth as our day of coordinator—-it was well worth it! -

Beth was the best. We had a pretty big wedding and I wanted to be completely hands off the week of, so I hired her as a day-of coordinator. She made sure everything went smooth and if anything did go wrong, I don't even know! Leading up to the wedding, she answered all of my questions and was a massive help with the logistics. We are so glad we booked with Engaging Events for our May 2023 OBX wedding. Beth went above and beyond to make our day truly magical. The most amazing experience- this day would not have gone the way it did without Beth.
The experience we had with Beth was nothing but amazing. My fiancé and I were engaged for about two years before our wedding day and we started the wedding planning process right away. Beth was there every step of the way. Even with the several other weddings i’m sure she was doing, she made us feel like her first priority whenever we met with her and had zoom meetings with. Wedding Coordinator is a MUST
There are really no adequate words to describe the services of Beth Pallet and Engaging Events. From day one a year before the wedding Beth was a wealth of advice, information, and experience. She was always available to me for questions, and at least 3 steps ahead of me in planning. She created invaluable timelines, check lists, and vendor orders that left nothing to chance. The day of Beth and her staff were amazing! Their hard work and attention to detail left nothing for me to do but concentrate on my daughter. They kept things seamlessly flowing and took care of every single detail as the night unfolded allowing me to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. The next morning, all that was left for me to do was pick up my things. 5 stars is not enough! -

Beth was amazing to work with! She made the process of planning my wedding absolutely flawless, from giving me recommendations on certain things, and her honesty and diligence during the process. Every time I was stressed she was able to put things in perspective to me and ease my mind. Any little issue that arose, she was on top of it. Best OBX Wedding Planner
Absolutely the best human to help with your wedding! We live in Alabama and knew a coordinator was essential for our OBX fall wedding! Beth did above and beyond- our only regret is not hiring her sooner and for the full service package because she was THAT good! (we did day off package and it was totally beyond that and perfect!!) When I say I truly didn’t have a worry in the world on the wedding day or ANY issues is a huge compliment from a “type A” bride! Love and will miss chatting with Beth on the regular! -

Absolutely Wonderful
Beth was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She took the time to go over every detail from the largest to the most minute. The joy and enthusiasm she had throughout the process was contagious. The day of our wedding she and her assistant were already there working hard when I arrived. We planned to have our ceremony outside but the weather didn't cooperate however you would have never known because they put everything together as if indoors was the plan all along. I brought quite a lot of decor for both indoors and out and they were able to blend them together and bring my vision to life with perfection. They kept us on track and assisted with all of our needs throughout the evening. To say they were an indispensable asset is an understatement. The Best Investment
Working with Beth was incredible! My husband and I both agree hiring her was the best investment we made in our wedding. She helped us navigate date selection and rescheduling over two postponements, coordinate vendors, finalize timeline, and even ran through the rehearsal!
We had our wedding in Manteo and as a local planner, she knew everyone we were working with and had specific and helpful suggestions. She even helped us to save money on rentals and florals! One of my favorite little touches was when she and her assistant remembered what my husband and I were drinking at our wedding and would have a drink ready for moments like our toasts and cake cutting. It's the little things that made the day go smoothly and enjoyably.

Excellent wedding planner!
Beth was so amazing to work with!! It was a destination wedding for us, so she handled every detail of organizing our wedding, finding all the vendors and officiant. Beth kept me on task and kept me on target with the timeline of everything. Our original plan was to have our ceremony on the beach, but the weather did not cooperate. Even our Plan B was not going to work out so well once we arrived at our rental house on the beach. Beth got right on it for us and found us an amazing venue, that turned out better than we could have ever imagined!!! I loved working with her!! I’d recommend her highly!! -

I hired Beth for my son's wedding in the Outer Banks, and I couldn't have made a better decision. Since we are located in Michigan and New York, it was important to have someone we could trust with all our needs in having a destination wedding. Beth was outstanding, and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled. There was a last minute venue change, and she immediately went to work to meet my son and daughter-in-law at the new wedding house, contact all the vendors, and make sure everything ran smoothly with no glitches! On the day of the wedding, we could relax and have a great time knowing that Beth and her assistant were there to make sure everything was perfect! What an awesome Day of Coordinator! Beth is THE BEST! We might have been the worst at making sure we had everything picked from the checklist she would give us. Beth was the best vendor I didn't even know that I needed
I decided to plan my wedding in 3 months so my mom suggested we hire a coordinator. I thought with such a short time frame, I'll just DIY and make phone calls and be fine by myself. I was SO wrong and I would have been lost without Beth. She is such a professional and thinks of every little detail. She is also a local which means she knows a ton of vendors personally which made last minute booking and communication SO much easier. She scheduled calls with me once a week leading up to the wedding and even met with me in person at my venue when I happened to be in town for the weekend. She made me feel so comfortable asking any question and agreed to help whenever I got stuck. I waited until the last minute on so many decisions and Beth was so kind, understanding and helpful despite my lack of preparation. Stop what searching and hire Beth!
Despite being a project manager in my day job, hiring Beth was still the best decision my husband and I made! She and her team far exceeded our expectations, both leading up to the big day and the day of. She consulted with us far before the month of that we hired her for to answer any and all questions, recommend vendors (since we’re from out of town), brainstorm ideas, coached our family friend who would be officiating our wedding, and more. She even handled rescheduling EVERYTHING for us after COVID required us to cancel our original 2020 wedding. She went absolutely above and beyond every step of the way! And for the day of, she kept in contact with me and my maid of honor since we got ready offsite. Beautiful, Perfect Day!
When I met Beth at the OBX Wedding Expo in March 2020, I knew she was the perfect day-of coordinator for me. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and knows EVERYONE! She's been working in the wedding coordinator industry for a long time and she was such a great resource to help identify which direction to go with some vendors. The pandemic hit soon after my husband and I booked our wedding vendors and Beth was there EVERY step of the way to keep me informed of how everything is going at the Outer Banks in terms laws/restrictions, which venue is allowing what, etc. I went several months thinking we would not be able to hold our wedding at Jennette's Pier, which was my dream, and Beth helped me brainstorm a new list of venues to tour/options to think of as a backup in the case we couldn't have our wedding at the pier. She gave me honest advice on the benefits and negatives of various venues and my husband and I went back to OBX a few months before the wedding to re-tour various locations. As we got closer to the event, Beth also helped me develop a Plan A, B, and C in terms of venue options since our wedding was in April 2021 and there were still restrictions in the weeks leading up to it.
Beth spent several hours planning backup plans, a wedding timeline, ceremony order, working with the trolley to schedule pick-up times, ordering necessary equipment from Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals, working with our DJ to ensure he had the necessary ceremony and first dance songs, worked with our photographer on a photo timeline, etc. It was such a relief to have someone working on these details for me as we got closer to the wedding.
The day before the wedding, we met Beth over at Jennette's Pier (we ended up being able to have it there!!) and dropped off all our decorations, photos, guest book, cake knife, bride and groom champagne flutes, alcohol, signs, etc. and she took care of everything. Beth and her assistant also coordinated the order from Ocean Atlantic (linens, glassware, etc.) and they spent the evening setting everything up and decorating so that way my family and I could enjoy our rehearsal dinner. Before setting up at the pier, Beth came to the beach house our bridal party rented and ran a practice run of the ceremony. This was most people's first time being in a wedding, so they needed a little extra guidance. She was extremely patient with our large bridal party (17 of us including the bride and groom, plus lots of divorced family members who we did NOT want walking down the aisle together!). She made everything run so smoothly and we had fun!
The morning of the wedding, I woke up and felt so calm and relaxed, which was the exact opposite of how I felt the weeks leading up to the special day. I knew I was in good hands with Beth and was so relieved I was able to take everything to her the night before to set up. When I walked into Jennette's Pier after our ceremony, my mouth dropped by how gorgeous it looked! I had so many different ideas floating around my head the past 15 months that we were wedding planning, and it was such a wonderful feeling to see all of my dreams and ideas come to life! She did such an excellent job placing everything just how I envisioned and it all came together so nicely! Beth even had another assistant on the wedding day who was there LITERALLY every time I needed anything. "The ceremony was over and the bride hadn't eaten? Let's go bring her a snack. The bride's champagne glass is empty? Let me see if she wants more. Do you need water? Can I hold your bag?" She was FANTASTIC, and just smiled and appeared so happy to be there helping me.
The morning after the wedding, my mother-in-law went back to the pier to clean up, and Beth had already boxed everything up so nicely. All my mother-in-law had to do was grab the boxes!
I can't thank Beth and her team enough for ensuring we had the most perfect wedding day and helping me through wedding planning during a pandemic! She is such a great communicator, planner, and puts the highest level of effort and quality into her wedding planning and coordinating services. She is seriously the best and I highly enjoyed working with her!-

We have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Beth and the Engaging Events team! Beth (and her team) made our wedding day and entire wedding experience feel seamless and stress free, as much as you can while planning a COVID wedding. We had to change our date and then our venue very close to the wedding. Beth helped to take care of all the details, including contacting vendors and helped to ease a very stressed out bride and Mother of bride in MANY situations. Right from the beginning we knew Beth was going to help us have a successful wedding! She was knowledgeable about aspects of the wedding my fiance and I never thought about, gave great advice, helped finalize contracts with vendors, worked hard to set up our reception exactly as we wanted, was impressively organized, was always willing to answer questions, and brought an overall amazing attitude throughout the whole planning process and on the day of the wedding.

I had the best day because of Beth
Beth was an amazing coordinator. She worked with me early on about all the details and with her experience she made sure we had touched on all the little things that people normally forget. On the day of she was so calm and in control, I was able to fully enjoy my wedding day and not worry about a thing besides having a good time. I highly recommend Beth to anyone. -

Absolutely Amazing & Exceeded All of our Expectations
I can honestly say that hiring Beth with Engaging Events, was the best decision Josh (my husband) and I made in our wedding planning process. I really don't know what we would have done without her. Josh and I laugh at what a mess we would have been and how many important details we would have missed without her. She went above and beyond in every aspect of the planning process and exceeded every expectation that we had when it comes to working with a planner. Both Josh and I work demanding full time jobs and one of my biggest fears was figuring out how to incorporate planning a 160+ person wedding into our schedule, especially with the majority of our guests being from out of town. After our first meeting with Beth my stress levels decreased rapidly. She was calm, confident, extremely organized, detail oriented, budget oriented, and explained how she would be the "go to" contact for all of our vendors questions. This included set up times, set up locations, detailed wedding day timelines, rental numbers, transportation, decorations, beverage packages, linens, catering, decorations, and even when and where the wedding party had to be at all times to stay on schedule. I knew I could trust Beth in making some decisions that I simply did not have time to make and she always blew me away with her selections as they were better then what I could have imagined myself. She made the process of planning our wedding fun, exciting, and so much easier then I thought possible. She is worth every penny and so much more. I am 100% confident in saying that you would be crazy not to hire her as your wedding planner.-

Our wedding was perfect because of Beth!
Where do I start?! Beth was the best decision we made for our wedding! She is literally a super woman and made our perfect day possible. When interviewing day of coordinators over the phone, Beth was the one I immediately connected with. She was so kind and knowledgeable, and I knew she was the one we wanted to help plan our day. Although we booked Beth for “Day Of” services, I felt she went above and beyond in what she did for us throughout the planning process. She gave great recommendations for other vendors to hire, she would answer any of my nagging questions months, weeks and days before the wedding, and was overall a professional. She knows Outer Banks weddings! When COVID hit, Beth made sure we got all our vendors moved to our new date one year away. She herself was flexible in moving our date as well. We got married at the Croatan Ridge House in Buxton, and Beth drove all the way down the day before the wedding for our rehearsal. Two days before the wedding we had our linens and rentals delivered, and the rental company forgot to deliver a box. We needed that box of linens to pre-set our tables with decorations so we didn’t have to worry about it on the wedding morning. Beth went and found that box from the rental company and met us half-way so we could finish our decorating. My point: she goes above and beyond for her clients! We had a lot of obstacles in our way for our wedding, but because of Beth it was perfect. If anything went wrong, I didn't know about it! Do yourself a favor and book her! -

Priceless!
Hiring Beth and Engaging Events as our wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions we made! She took care of everything I didn't want to even think about and MORE. She pays such great attention to detail without being overbearing. Incredibly helpful!
Beth is an angel! I am actually very lucky because I was going to book another planner who ended up already having my day taken. They sent me to Beth and after 1 phone call with her I was able to feel so confident in my day! I hired her for day of planning to help me coordinate my vendors, setup decor and help keep my timeline. She ended up helping me with way more than I originally anticipated which I am so so so thankful for! I am not from the outer banks area and her expertise on what vendors to go with was very helpful. We had multiple phone calls reviewing everything before the wedding which helped me make sure I had everything done properly. Being that I am not from OBX and we rented a beach house for our wedding there was a longer list than normal of things that needed to be done but she made sure I had everything down to the soap in the bathrooms.
The day of the wedding she was so incredibly helpful, she got everything setup for me and REALLY helped keep us on schedule. Our friends started calling here Mama Beth because she was always making sure we knew where we needed to be! I would definitely recommend booking her, if you dont think you need a planner you do! -

Perfect in every way
We highly recommend the excellent work of Beth Pallet and Engaging Events! Beth will make you feel like you are her only client. She was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and always a joy to work with. From our first meeting two years ago, Beth went above and beyond our expectations as we were initially only seeking a “Day of Event” planner. With just weeks to go, our April 2020 wedding had to be called off due to the pandemic and Beth was key in helping us through the cancellation and rescheduling process, reaching out to our vendors to make sure all were on board. When our big day finally arrived in April 2021, Beth handled every detail seamlessly and helped us feel at ease and calm through the whole process so we could enjoy our long-awaited wedding celebration. It was as beautiful as we had hoped! (I should mention, my husband and I decided to elope last autumn and we consulted with Beth then as well). All in all, Beth was wonderful to work with and helped us throughout the whole planning process - we enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you Beth and Engaging Events for making our wedding so perfect!

COVID cancels wedding, best Plan B ever!
Our daughter’s wedding was cancelled due to COVID restrictions on the Outer Banks of North Carolina but thanks to Beth Pallett and her team from Engaging Events, Plan B was more magical than we ever expected. This is a belated post but never the less heartfelt as Beth was able to transition the event from a large OBX destination wedding to a small intimate affair in the backyard of our Chesapeake, Virginia home. Our daughter and her fiancé worked with Beth for months to plan their dream event. Beth carefully listened to their vision and suggested vendors which would make their plan come alive. Just as everything was perfectly planned, a ceremony at a local church followed by the reception to be held at the beautiful First Colony Inn located in Nags Head North Carolina, COVID restrictions forced our daughter and Beth back to square one. Totally committed to the success of the day, Beth’s exceptional organizing and planning skills were clearly evident as she turned a wedding for over 120 guests into a small intimate affair at our home. While the ceremony was taking place at Saint Luke’s Historic Church and Museum, Beth and her team stayed at our home with the vendors that the Bride and Groom had originally chosen. These vendors: (Camp Cocktail, Coastal Shots Photography, Shane Z Moore Wedding Videography, Jeremy Russell Music) all made the trip to our Chesapeake home from the OBX! Plan A team for the Plan B event! Beth was calm and kind and demonstrated incomparable flexibility in an environment of too many COVID unknowns to count and coupled with her 100% dependable and reliable work ethic, she embraced change, calmed all of our fears and made possible the most magnificent day for the young couple. From getting the bride and groom down the aisle, to lighting the sparklers for their late night departure, Beth made the day effortlessly perfect! Beth’s behind the scenes attention to detail will make any wedding event, large, small, or something in between, memorably magical!

Planning your dream wedding 101: Step #1-HIRE BETH!!
Being local, I thought I could coordinate my dream wedding on my own. I thought I knew what my husband and I wanted, and it would be a piece of cake. I heard about Beth from a former local bride, that raved about her, so I decided to see what she could offer us. From beginning to end, we seriously can't say enough about her! If I could say one thing that is a must for any bride planning her dream wedding, I would say do yourself a favor and step #1 hire Beth! She went well above my expectations. She got along well with all my wedding vendors. Everything was organized and perfect. She made sure everything was BETTER than what I expected it to be. She thought about things that I would have never thought about planning a wedding, and give recommendations based on her experiences from previous weddings. She was with me every step of the way. No matter what she may have had going on aside from planning our wedding, she made us feel like we were her top priority from the day I hired her. When I say I cant say enough about her...I mean it!! And just think I have all this to say and just used her 'Day of Coordinating" package! I could go on and on, but in think you get the drift...5 stars just isn't enough for this woman!!

Beth and Engaging Events are must for out of town brides
Beth and the Engaging Events team were absolutely incredible for my wedding. Being out of town, Beth provided wonderful recommendation's for other vendors and answered all my questions about the area. She had so many suggestions and reminders for things that I would never have thought of without her help. The month/week/day of the wedding she was a complete life saver - helping keep me on track and organized. As we got close to the wedding she stayed in touch with all of my vendors, fielding any questions and removing a lot of anxiety from us. We were so grateful to have her leading our rehearsal, as our officiant was a family member and it was his first wedding. Beth and her team took care of all the setup and breakdown of my rentals, DIY decor, and managed my timeline perfectly. I absolutely could not have done this without Beth's help! -

Wedding Dream A Reality
My husband and I first met Beth at the OBX Wedding Expo. From the very beginning Beth was always very professional and offered so many great ideas and tips along the way. Planning a wedding out of state can be tricky but having Beth to help tie everything together for our special day was very calming. Due to COVID there were constant updates and changes on gatherings in Dare County. Beth was always there to talk it out and ensure us that no matter the day our wedding would be beautiful. We were able to get married on our original date but on a smaller scale and Beth made all of our dreams a reality. After chatting for many months about our vision and seeing it all come together was magical. Beth went above and beyond and we cannot thank her enough for making our day so special! The day of the Wedding came and went so fast. Soak it in! Beth and her assistant Jade constantly made sure that all of the details were exactly the way we wanted and helped make the day/evening run perfectly. Thank you both so very much! -

Amazing Experience with Engaging Events
Working with Engaging Events for our wedding was a great experience. We hired Beth as a day-of coordinator to help us plan for a large formal wedding in the outer banks. Despite her helping us plan out a seemingly perfect day, a global pandemic occurred and we quickly had to cancel the wedding. Beth stayed by our side and was more than willing to help us reinvent an equally as beautiful day back in our hometown in Virginia. We quickly realized even small intimate gatherings require a large amount of planning. Beth took this in stride and was able to effectively communicate with the vendors keeping them updated with all the changes. She is also very detail-oriented which helped us turn our backyard wedding into the wedding of our dreams.
The wedding day came and it was just beautiful. We were so thankful to have Beth present to help the day run smoothly and seamlessly. Because of her services, our families were able to relax and enjoy making memories together. Throughout the entire experience, Beth was always easy to get into contact with, she gave us great recommendations and was an effective liaison with our other vendors. Couldn't Have Done It Without Them!
Beth was simply amazing! We were planning our wedding from over 300 miles away and she made the process so easy. Then we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic and she worked with us and all of our vendors to accommodate a new date. On our actual wedding day she, and her assistant Jade, made sure every little detail was perfect. Walking into our wedding reception was an absolute dream. Above and Beyond
From start to finish Beth went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day.
She gave quick and helpful advice through the planning process, reviewed our vendor lists and contracts, anticipated our concerns and solved them before they became issues (everything from number of chairs to how to build and execute a champagne tower of coupe glasses!) Mostly she guided us through everything and made us feel calm and comfortable.
Then there was the day and week of. She met with us in person to finalize all details, and dealt with last minute changes (guest count, menus, song lists and more!) with grace. She gathered decor and props from us at the rehearsal dinner so there was no stress on the day of! She guided us and our officiant (who’d never officiated a wedding before) through the ceremony with ease. Everyone who interacted with Beth commented on how lovely she was, how calm she was and how helpful she was.
If you’re on the fence about a coordinator, get one. And get Beth. She’s worth every penny and then some.

Beth is the absolute best!!
Let me just start by saying, if you are getting married in the Outer Banks you will not find a better wedding coordinator than Engaging Events. We got married at Jennette's Pier in August 2019. We only had an 8 month engagement and I was planning everything from out of town in Northern Virginia. I was finding it very hard to research vendors from so far away, not to mention I am in no way an organized person. Needless to say, I was feeling the wedding stress.
Knowing I would need a day of coordinator either way, I decided to go with the full service coordination (which was an amazing price compared to others in the area) and I am so glad I did! From the moment Beth came into the picture, I felt so much more at ease. She is so down to earth and easy to talk to, which may not be important to some people but she was just such a calming presence through out the whole planning process and wedding weekend. She listened to everything I wanted for our big day, reassured me everything would get done, gave fantastic recommendations on vendors, made sure we stayed in our budget, and truly made my vision come to life. Our wedding day went so smoothly without a single hiccup (and if there were any hiccups, she made sure we didn't even know about it). I had given her a very general idea of what I wanted the reception to look like and she absolutely nailed it! Our day was truly perfect, and it was all thanks to Beth. Hire her, you will not regret it!! -

Our photographer convinced us to at least talk to some and consider a Day of Coordinator; which led us to Beth. We immediately connected with her, and she was beyond familiar to our venue (Jennette's Pier). So we hired her!! Even though we hired Beth as our "Day of", she was there to support us in choosing vendors and answering questions when we felt stuck. Flash forward to our "wedding meeting" with Beth 4 months before our wedding; she asked us questions that we never thought about and it was in that meeting we knew SHE WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Beth was beyond organized and always had new "homework" for us to do to make our day magical. Now onto 1 month before the wedding, Beth contacted our vendors and made sure everyone was on the same page with our dream. Any changes to our timeline or minor details that came up, she was ON IT with guiding us through the stress and contacting the other vendors. Beth also helped the groom plan a surprise massage for the bride on the rehearsal day! On rehearsal day, Beth spent most of her day decorating our event space and professionally wrangled our family and friends for about 45 minutes through the rehearsal. On the wedding day, Beth was so busy making our day flow effortlessly that all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. Her assistants catered to us and treated us like royalty. We wish we got a picture with her at the reception because we know she played a MAJOR role in making our day being beyond our wildest dreams of perfection. -

Absolutely Amazing
I am 100% sure my wedding would not have been as perfect as it was if not for Beth. I am from the Boston area and never even had to make a trip down as Beth had it all covered. Every vendor she recommended was absolutely perfect. It ended up raining on our wedding day and she easily adapted and we moved from our nuptials on the Beach to a beautiful ceremony inside. Anyone would be extremely fortunate to have Beth help them plan and execute their special day. I will never be able to thank her enough! -

Perfect Wedding!
Our wedding and reception were absolutely perfect- and it was all thanks to Beth! She was a master of organization and great ideas! My husband and I did most of our planning from another state and Beth was great at setting up phone meetings and promptly responding to emails! She was able to calm my nerves and come up with solutions to any potential problems. The Best Man had a suit button pop minutes before the ceremony and she had an emergency sewing kit on hand to fix him up! She recommended wonderful vendors, and my husband and I are so grateful we were able to work with Beth! -

Beyond helpful!
I cannot reccomend Beth's work enough! Getting married out of town can be hard, but she was there every step of the way, thinking way ahead of us the entire time. Her relationships with other vendors and local knowledge came in handy multiple times, and all her hard work resulted in a flawlessly executed and wonderful wedding day with no stress for the bride, groom, or family. She took care of all the decoration setup and really worked with what we brought her to make the reception hall look incredible. She was flexible and open to all our crazy ideas while also serving as a reminder to what was pheasable or logistically possible at the chosen venue. Thank you so so much !! -

I cannot recommend this company, particularly Beth Pallet, ENOUGH! I don't think I could have done this without her, We lived out of state so planning was difficult for us, until we hired Beth. She was a lifesaver and made our planning experience enjoyable and easy. She is very knowledgable about the area and was incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to ensure that our special day was perfect. She thought of questions I had completely missed and came up with easy and efficient solutions. Her communication with us was above and beyond which helped with the stresses of planning a destination wedding. The best day of!
Beth went above and beyond for our wedding on 5.4.19! She was so responsive to anything I needed, whenever it was! Luckily me living on the Outer Banks, I was able to meet with her more than once, which she helped put a lot of things on my mind at ease! She asked questions that I didn’t even think of & she made our wedding day run SO smoothly! If anything went wrong, I didn’t know about it & still don’t lol! The first thing my husband said to me after we got married was “I’m so glad you got a day of coordinator because I would’ve hated to see how stressed you would’ve been had you not.” Literally the BEST money spent! If our wedding party had questions, she was on top of it! I can’t recommend her more! If you think you don’t need a day of, think again! I promise you won’t regret it! -

Amazing Experience
I would definitely recommend Engaging Events as your wedding coordinator! For my venue, a day of coordinator was needed due to the amount of guests and it was honestly the best thing we could have done! Beth was on top of it all, from asking me ideas/questions that I would have never thought of to making sure everything was set up correctly and not have any worries on my wedding day. Beth and her assistant are amazing and make sure your wedding day is STRESS free. That in itself is worth it. I recommend her to anyone and everyone getting married at the OBX! -

My perfect beach boho wedding
Beth at Engaging events made the wedding planning experience that I dreded so much fun and helped make my beach wedding vision come true. We couldn’t have survived the day without her and her staff who were amazing. so many compliments from wedding party and guest about how smoothly everything was run. At one point we even ran out of beer, wine and water Beth was instantly on it. They made our day so wonderful and it’s something we will never forget.

My Amazing OBX Wedding! Aug 2018
Beth was amazing to work with! I planned my OBX wedding from CT so I had no clue where to start. She was so helpful with vendor selection as well as making sure she gave an opinion on different vendors so I wasn't just choosing one option. When it came closer to the wedding her organization and dedication to ensuring a smooth day was ever present. There were so many times that I could have gotten overwhelmed but her calm demeanor kept me level. She came to the location for the rehearsal and took charge, and the day was THE SMOOTHEST I could have imagined!! I am definitely love to be in control so to give up the reigns on the most important day of my life was tough, but I absolutely made the right choice with Beth. She was so attentive to detail, and literally nothing went wrong! (and if it did I had no clue!) If you need a wedding planner, Beth is the TOP choice! -

Beth was great. Very responsive, on top of things we didn't even think to ask about or work on. We hired her for day of planning only but she was available for any questions that came up along the way and made regular appointments with us to make sure we were on schedule with planning. She even made an extra stop to pick up a pair of earrings I purchased for my sister. I had multiple compliments from guests about how great she was at the wedding without being obtrusive in the day at all. No complaints at all - the day went smoothly without us having to worry about it. Highly recommend! -

Beth was a dream to work with! We hired her to be our day of coordinator for our 9/22/2018 wedding and she was such an asset! She communicated with us through the year regarding vendors and timelines and even though Manteo area was hit by a hurricane the week before our wedding, Beth was calling us to check in on us. Wow wow wow!! I cannot say enough about Beth and all she did for me during the year-long planning process for our wedding. Planning my wedding from Richmond VA proved to be challenging from the start - I didn't know any vendors and was overwhelmed. As soon as I narrowed down my venue, the next thing I did was start looking for a planner because I knew I couldn't handle this alone. I contacted three planners and Beth reached back out to me almost immediately! Coincidentally, she had just done a wedding at the venue I had my eye on the weekend prior! Her responsiveness and experience told me she was the one. I met her in person a few months later when we came down to secure the rest of our vendors. She set up every appointment for us and joined us on some of them so we could make sure we were asking the right questions. She suggested every vendor we hired (with the exception of my photographer, who was a friend from home) and they were all top notch!!
Throughout the process, her organization and gentle reminders that it was time to make certain decisions, pay certain people, etc. were HIGHLY appreciated! Towards the end, she responded to my (and my mother's) nearly daily emails quickly and was a constant reassurance that everything was getting taken care of.
The day of the wedding, she was unbelievable. Literally all we had to do was get ready and show up! It was such a blessing to not have my mom or another family member have to coordinate the arrival of vendors and set things up. She set up all my centerpieces and made sure all the vendors, wedding party etc. were sticking to the timeline. I was the calmest I had been in months on the day of my wedding - which is all thanks to Beth!! She was a dream, a constant professional and such a warm, kind person that I felt comfortable going to her with even my most off the wall ideas. I am so grateful that I found her! -

Beth was wonderful! Many of my friends and family said that it was the best wedding yet, which can greatly be attributed to Beth’s hard work. A week before the wedding, Beth called to let me know that construction was not complete at my venue (it was supppsed to have been completed). There are so many great things to say about Beth. From the very beginning (over 1.5 years ago) she has been great. We used Beth for our day of coordination but she was way more than that. She was always very responsive to ALL my emails. Although I was out of town (about 7+ hours away), I never felt as though I was missing out on anything due to all of Beth's awesome recommendations. Beth met with me every time I asked- probably at least 5 + times before the wedding to go over the venue/details in person. She was extremely organized and helped tremendously with her previous experience. (She had recommendations for our venue setup- Roanoke Festival Park before I even thought of them). I really couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. Beth took the stress out of it and everything ran extremely smoothly (even with the threat of rain). If I could do it all again, I would absolutely keep Beth on my team! -
