We hired Laura for day of coordination and decor services for our wedding this past August. We booked a venue that basically only came with tables and chairs, and we knew we would need a coordinator to help put all the pieces together. Laura worked with our vendors to put together a clear and thorough timeline of the day. She also organized all the logistical details from the processional to the reception announcements to the dinner service... and everything in between. I did not have to worry about a single thing at my wedding because Laura was always a step ahead and making sure everything was taken care of. She also sorted out the mess that was my DIY...We hired Laura for day of coordination and decor services for our wedding this past August. We booked a venue that basically only came with tables and chairs, and we knew we would need a coordinator to help put all the pieces together. Laura worked with our vendors to put together a clear and thorough timeline of the day. She also organized all the logistical details from the processional to the reception announcements to the dinner service... and everything in between. I did not have to worry about a single thing at my wedding because Laura was always a step ahead and making sure everything was taken care of. She also sorted out the mess that was my DIY wedding decorations and managed to put it all together with a clear vision. She handled all the flowers and decor for the ceremony and reception, and everything came out truly beautiful. It was exactly what I wanted. I can't thank Laura (and her sister Kelly!) enough. -

Highly Recommend!!!
We hired Laura to be our Day-Of-Coordinator for our wedding. At first we were unsure of whether or not we would need such a thing, but we 10000% did and we are so glad that we had the chance to work with Laura and her team! Laura helped us create a schedule of events for the whole day and kept us on track. She worked closely with the other vendors and even made important phone calls on our behalf when we were busy and overwhelmed. My dress was a bit complicated but she knew exactly how to put it on/take it off/bustle etc. She kept me calm and at ease the whole day even when we were rushing to...We hired Laura to be our Day-Of-Coordinator for our wedding. At first we were unsure of whether or not we would need such a thing, but we 10000% did and we are so glad that we had the chance to work with Laura and her team! Laura helped us create a schedule of events for the whole day and kept us on track. Laura is an incredible DOC and goes above and beyond. Not only did she pull the whole day together but she decorated the tables with lanterns and greenery and provided bouquets and boutonnieres. Also, Laura and her assistants helped me with my gown during pictures so I wouldn't step in puddles or get caught on anything. Finally, she did a great job making sure everything was delivered and was in its place for the wedding. She gave me my dream wedding. Laura is a wedding planning ROCKSTAR!! She and her crew coordinated my wedding day to perfection. You will realize after your first conversation that she is incredibly detailed, organized, knowledgable, and communicates extremely effectively. I just can't say enough good things about her! It is clear how much pride she took in making my day as smooth as possible and she was there to support me with any questions I had during the planning process. She's the best!

My husband and I hired Laura for wedding planning and day of coordination for our January wedding in Brooklyn. Laura and her team were pleasures to work with for the entire planning process and day of. Our wedding exceeded our wildest expectations. The decorations and flowers were perfect (and she stayed under budget!). She helped us to hire and coordinate with amazing vendors. It was easily the best night of our lives and that is largely due to the work of Laura and her staff. Laura and her team at Elegant Events was an absolute DREAM to work with. They truly made my vision come to life and ensured the day ran smoothly (a difficult task with a bridal party of 20 people and 315 wedding guests!) Elegant Events not only planned and executed the perfect day for my husband and I, they also did ALL of the floral arrangements.. not an easy task when there were different size tables and different centerpieces on each! These ladies are the best in the business!Laura and her team at Elegant Events was an absolute DREAM to work with. I can't begin to explain how great Laura and her team were during the planning process and especially on our wedding day! From unexpected guests to a missing cake, they literally handled it all.
I was very passive when it came to planning and Laura knew how to handle that. She gave me deadlines and options from everything from centerpieces to makeup. She was so organized and filled in all the gaps when it came to things I would never even think of.
On our wedding day, our cake did not arrive to the venue (despite being confirmed the day before), so Laura and her team ran to the closest store and created the most magnificent wedding cake with...I can't begin to explain how great Laura and her team were during the planning process and especially on our wedding day! From unexpected guests to a missing cake, they literally handled it all.

My daughter contracted with Laura for her services for the day of her wedding Truthfully, I didn't think it was necessary Was I ever wrong! I don't know what we would've done without Laura and Kelly on that day… They attended to all of the details, mishaps that arose , and made sure everything ran smoothly. They were extremely professional, supportive, calm and somehow managed to be everywhere at once . This is the one review that I wanted to make sure I wrote! The day of my wedding, Laura was my personal super hero. She and her assistant swooped in ready to take on the day and fixed problems before I even knew they happened! I was super unhappy with the bouquet my florist made for me and Laura's teammate went out to a local florist and they remade it for me! It was like magic. They were so on top of it - my entire family was impressed. The manager of the club where I got married even came by specifically to let me know "your planner is a total rock star" (and I'm sure he's worked with plenty of planners in his day).

She even was able to alter my daughter's dress 3 hours before the wedding. I was a bit nervous about a NYC wedding (hosting and the cost), however Laura made it simple and with her assistance, we were able to host a fabulous wedding and party for much less than the "average" cost of a Manhattan wedding. If you are considering a celebratory event in the tri-state area, you won't regret contacting Elegant Events by Laura.My daughter chose Laura (Elegant Events by Laura) to help plan her NYC wedding ---- and it was beautiful! Laura was wonderful to work with! She was a huge help both before our wedding and on the day of.
We had grand visions for our photos and Laura spent months applying for permits for us, which is no easy feat in NYC. She handled the paperwork and followed up with each location several times to make sure we were totally covered. Right before the wedding she checked in with all of our vendors and made sure they knew where to be and when, which was something I REALLY did not want to be doing the week of my wedding. She answered all of my silly, last-minute anxiety questions and kept me calm during the home stretch.
...Laura was wonderful to work with! She was a huge help both before our wedding and on the day of.

Right before the wedding she checked in with all of our vendors and made sure they knew where to be and when, which was something I REALLY did not want to be doing the week of my wedding. She answered all of my silly, last-minute anxiety questions and kept me calm during the home stretch.
She also clearly has a lot of day-of experience and was prepared for every situation - scissors, safety pins, and hairspray were all ready to go when we needed them. She even had a walkie talkie system set up with her assistant, who would be in another location waiting for us, so all of our timing was perfect. I didn't have to worry about a single thing all day except where my next glass of champagne was. I can't recommend Laura highly enough. -

My husband and I got married in October at Bacchus bistro in Brooklyn. I hired Elegant Events for day of coordination and they were the perfect team to bring the vision I had to life. For the month before the event Laura was there to bounce ideas off of, offer advice, ease my mind about questions & concerns and be a partner in mapping out the flow/schedule for the event. When we met, she instantly got my vision for the aesthetic I was going for, and did everything she could to make it happen, w/o being overbearing but also offering a solid opinion on things that may not work or decisions that might cause more stress than necessary. I already had a flower vendor (who I loved!) booked, but I know Laura does gorgeous arrangements and has impeccable attention to detail – so would highly recommend booking her for florals. The day of our wedding, she went above and beyond to create additional arrangements for the bars and tables in the restaurant when we realized we may need some extra. Our wedding day was rainy and windy but Laura and Kelly worked seamlessly w/ our amazing contacts at Bacchus to make last minute décor adjustments – I know the day was stressful for them but I didn’t get a single email/text from Laura with questions or concerns, her and Kelly handled everything like pros and let me enjoy the day getting ready and toasting w/ friends & family. By the time we arrived for pictures, the venue looked stunning and my husband and I were able to relax and have a glass of champagne before the ceremony. From dress adjustments, driving us to the venue for pictures & making sure the entire evening flowed seamlessly, Laura & Kelly helped make our wedding day a spectacular one! -

As the MOB, this is the most important service to have for the day before and DAY OF WEDDING. All behind the scene scheduling and executing were handled flawlessly. I was able to immerse myself in the joy of the day without having to deal with the little headaches that pop up. All emergencies/issues were rectified. Organizational skills and keeping brides calm are Laura's super powers. As our day of wedding coordinator, she took care of everything to put my family and me at ease (as much as you can be before your big day!). Vendors were called, plans were double checked, the day of schedule was followed...everything went smoothly because I left it all to Laura to coordinate, which she did magically! As our day of wedding coordinator, she took care of everything to put my family and me at ease (as much as you can be before your big day!). Vendors were called, plans were double checked, the day of schedule was followed...everything went smoothly because I left it all to Laura to coordinate, which she did magically! My husband and I were planning a New Jersey wedding from Virginia, and we needed someone we could trust to not only recommend vendors, but assist us with the day-of planning and making sure everything went off without a hitch.

Laura was so attentive to me as a bride during the planning process. Sending me lots of options and making mock centerpieces and flower crowns until we got it perfect. I had lots of questions and I personally didn't have a clear vision and she helped me bring it all to life. I highly highly recommend. Laura was an absolute dream! We found her while visiting our venue before we decided to book it. She was setting up for a New Year's Eve wedding. She was so on top of everything going on around her plus she was just the sweetest when we spoke with her that we decided to book her services as a wedding planner!
I wasn't sure I wanted a planner when I first got engaged, but I can tell you that she was worth her weight in gold. Laura helped us from helping find vendors (photographer and caterer), to keeping us on track throughout the year of planning, to doing all of our flowers (ordering wholesale + arranging). On the day of, Laura handled paying the vendors, setting up the venue, and keeping the time of the event. The decor was exactly what I wanted and everything went so well! When the bustle of one of my dress layers broke because a guest stepped on it, Laura and Kelly rushed me into the bridal room to help pin it up. At the end of the night she helped handle all the clean up, allowing me to go enjoy the after party!
In addition to being extremely competent, Laura and Kelly are just really wonderful people who listen to you and help make your vision come true!!

Laura and Kelly were amazing throughout the whole process. We did our wedding a little different in the sense we rented a space and had to use our own vendors. Without their help we wouldnt have been able to have the wedding of our dreams. The flowers were beyond gorgeous and every little detail was perfect.
