Victoria came in after we had already started doing some vendor planning on our own and made everything so much easier. She handled the communications and kept track of things as they got overwhelming for us. She advocated for us through everything and always took care of things. Our wedding weekend went so smoothly, we didn't have to worry about any problems and everything was taken care of because of her team. She managed everything, including all the extra things that we wanted. We're so so grateful to her for making our wedding planning process and our wedding weekend so smooth and memorable. Hire DVS Events for the smoothest wedding ever!
Victoria went absolutely above and beyond for me and my husbands wedding this fall. I tell everyone I know that I could not have done it without her. She asked questions to vendors I would never have thought of, found us the most perfect vendor team (her recommendation for a florist was fantastic!), and ensured the day went smoothly. We worked with Victoria and her team on our October 2025 wedding with a 6-week coordinating package. Their team has a lot of experience in the Chicago area, so are very knowledgeable about vendors, locations, and other considerations.
Victoria met with us multiple times beginning in September 2025 to help us prepare for our wedding. The meetings were well-organized and helped us to get our timeline ready, which Victoria communicated to our other vendors and ensured everyone was on the same page.
On the day of our wedding, Victoria and her team helped get all of our personal items to the venue and set up perfectly. Any hiccups were dealt with calmly, professionally, and efficiently by her and her team. Her team also packed up all of our personal items at the end of the night so we could enjoy ourselves to the last minute.
Hiring a coordinator was so worth it to us. I was able to shut off my type-A personality brain and just enjoy the day knowing that someone else (who has done this many more times than me!) could be in charge! Victoria and her team were great, and I would highly recommend them!

If you live in the Chicagoland area, you absolutely should choose Victoria and DVS Events as your wedding planning team! Victoria was a godsend during our wedding in October 2024 and I can confidently say that she was instrumental to making our wedding weekend a huge success- we just could not have done it without her and the DVS team. Victoria was with our family every step of the way, constantly available over phone and email as we finalized every minute detail of our wedding. She showed up with a smile and the best suggestions- in fact, our floral, decor, photography, and catering vendors were all her recommendation and they were outstanding. Even when some things got forgotten or didn't go exactly according to plan, she somehow had the solution. Victoria really cared about our families and guests and went above and beyond to coordinate everything in a seamless manner. Truly eternally grateful for her! Wedding planning is chaotic and it's impossible to navigate all the vendors, hotel requirements, and execution during your big day. But with Victoria and DVS, you're treated like family and they will go above and beyond to make sure you have the best wedding possible. Highly, highly recommend DVS Events! -

From concept to delivery, DVS far exceeded our expectations.
**Pre-event:** Victoria and her team were incredibly flexible when planning our event. They were punctual for vendor meetings and led discussions to achieve the best outcomes within our budget and creative design. Victoria maintained excellent communication throughout the process. The website she used to track vendor contracts and share information was extremely helpful. DVS’s list of trusted vendors was extensive, and each vendor was professional and engaging. Collectively, DVS presented a highly creative team that not only exceeded our expectations but also stayed within budget. Victoria’s creative input was invaluable and contributed to an event that truly wowed our audience.
**Event Delivery:** DVS Events paid great attention to detail, ensuring that the setup ran smoothly and everything was executed as envisioned and on schedule. They created a comprehensive run of show that was shared with all vendors and team members. DVS effectively managed all teams, delivering a stunning event while ensuring everyone enjoyed the process. They were adaptable and confidently navigated changing weather conditions.
**Post-event:** DVS Events made sure that all vendors left the property in the same condition in which it was found. They followed up with invoicing and ensured that all vendors were satisfied. The event wrap-up was smooth and flawless. -

Victoria and her team at DVS Events are truly magical! They did a fantastic job helping us navigate a large wedding while savoring every minute with our loved ones. We did the month of package and it was worth its weight in gold! Victoria set up weekly calls with myself and my mom ahead of the wedding weekend. We also had access to her wedding website, which helped us house our contracts and create the timeline for our vendors. During each call, Victoria offered advice from tipping vendors all the way to which detail shots we should consider. We truly felt prepared for the wedding weekend!
She frequently communicated with our vendors and advocated for our concerns. I have younger brothers who have autism and they were groomsmen. She asked questions on how to best communicate with them as well as their support workers. Victoria’s attention to detail and compassion was helpful during our photos before and after the ceremony. I also have a grandfather that experienced a medical episode prior to the wedding. Victoria and her team made sure he was comfortable and able to enjoy the festivities. I truly appreciate that she looked out for everyone in my family!
Victoria truly knocked it out of the park during the reception. It was amazing watching her seamlessly interact with all of our vendors and ensure our timeline was running smoothly. She helped our best man, maid of honor, and matron of honor feel at ease before their speeches. Victoria repeatedly checked on my husband and I to see if we needed anything. She helped coordinate the storage of important items during clean-up such as the card box and neon sign. My parents had the best time because Victoria ensured everything was going to plan. Victoria Shultz and her team at DVS Events did a fantastically superb job of helping us plan our son’s wedding. They were professional, helpful, and always available whenever we needed them to handle a task, discuss something over the phone, a video meeting, or live in person. They did a great job in connecting with all the vendors, coordinating and handling all the mundane tasks to make sure that everything flowed smoothly.
Victoria was always available for us, she was always courteous, and we could rely on her to take care of any task that we threw in her plate. She was very helpful with her suggestions and even helped us in adding additional touches such as adding a harpist to play beautiful music at the wedding and while the bride walked down the aisle!
We are so glad that we were able to find and select Victoria and DVS Events as a wedding planner. It was an Indian wedding that lasted 4 days and Victoria made sure that everything moved along smoothly, perfectly, and on time! We couldn’t be happier with their performance. We would happily recommend them to anyone looking to get a competent, effective, and pleasant wedding planner.

We highly recommend using DVS Events for your next event! We used them for 'month of' and 'day of' wedding coordinating for our NYE Wedding on 12/31/24 and they were absolutely amazing! Victoria kept us highly organized and on time - which was imperative since time flies when you're having fun. She also handled last minute changes and additions with the utmost efficiency. For example, it rained on our wedding day so that required moving photos indoors. Victoria was able to use her contacts to help us get our photos indoors within 48 hours of the event. These are the little things you forget when you're planning a wedding. Really grateful for DVS Events and hope to work with them again in the future. -

Like many couples, when we started planning our Hindu/Western fusion wedding, we felt overwhelmed by thought of planning a multi-day, multi-event wedding on top of our full-time jobs. In the end, we decided to go with DVS Events’ full planning package.
From our initial consult call with DVS Events, we knew we were in extremely capable hands in Victoria and Dan. They both have extensive cultural and contextual knowledge about Hindu and Christian weddings and we didn’t have to explain what certain things were (for example, other wedding planners that we considered didn’t know what auspicious dates, baraat, etc. were and made us feel silly for even bringing these up). We described what we were looking for and what our budget was and Dan and Victoria were confident and excited that we would be able accomplish it.
Their ability to listen attentively to our vision and translate it into a seamless event was remarkable. Throughout the process, they were open to our ideas and suggested some of their own (which was great!). They knew exactly the right questions to ask vendors during our calls and ended up securing a fantastic venue that we wouldn’t have even known was available unless they asked all the right questions. Victoria always waited for our opinions and reactions before giving her own while also offering ideas and reminders about different customs that we had forgotten about.
On the day of our wedding, everything flowed effortlessly, they handled everyhing with grace and composure, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the moment. If anything actually went wrong, it was fixed before we even could find out! Our guests were blown away by the beauty and sophistication of the event, and we’ve received countless compliments on nearly every aspect of the day.
We cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you for making our special day truly unforgettable!

I cannot recommend working with DVS enough. We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner Victoria 6 months before our November wedding. I had already booked the venue and was unsure if hiring a wedding planner was worth it or not, and after my phone call with Victoria, I absolutely saw the value and knowledge that hiring a planner would bring. Choosing to work with DVS was easily the best decision I made in my entire wedding process (besides my husband of course).
From our very first phone call, Victoria [and Dan] have been beyond incredible. I truly cannot begin to describe the peace of mind she gave me throughout this entire process. I personally get overwhelmed super quickly, never know where to start, and am the biggest procrastinator. From our very first in person meeting, Victoria laid everything out in a way that I was able to process and actually be excited for. She asked questions I never would have even known to ask, was able to take my messy brain and aesthetic and put together the most AMAZING vision board of everything I was trying to describe.
She created an amazing plan on Aisle Planner to house all our contracts, our ideas, our timeline, basically our wedding holy grail. This made it so much easier to see what needed to be done and when, where we were with certain vendors, when payments were due, etc. Despite all of the information being easily accessible and readily available, Victoria was CONSTANTLY there to answer my endless questions. I was always able to reach her with whatever question I had, both big and small. I was always met with her patience and knowledge no matter what I needed.
We had zero stress throughout the entire planning process because we trusted Victoria, her team and the vendors. Victoria answered all of our questions and gave sound advice whenever we were on the fence about a decision. She always waited to see our reaction to options or if we had questions before commenting and she (tactfully) guided us when something was worth spending more on versus something that we didn't necessarily need or it didn't make a difference.
Victoria was beyond professional and it was shown through her team member, Nicole, who was there with us the weekend of. Details were transferred flawlessly between the stars at DVS. Every single one of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and how amazing our coordinator was. No detail was overlooked. There was no way we could have pulled off such an incredible wedding without Victoria, Dan or Nicole. This review doesn't even capture everything that DVS provided -- there is so much more that she did behind the scenes that I'm sure I will never know about. We cannot thank her enough for being our calm, cool, collected pillar of strength and sanity. -

Could not imagine our wedding being even remotely manageable without the help for Victoria, Dan and team. They were so incredibly helpful, courteous and prepared every step of the way. They were extremely responsive over text or email, and hopped on calls on short notice to talk us through various topics. They were great at handling all of our vendors, and were extremely helpful in following up and pushing any slow vendors -

Best Decision Ever!
Victoria and Dan were so helpful and we're not sure what we would have done without them! They provided "month/day of" services and assisted us in finding an excellent decor vendor. We also were fortunate to have their help with decor ideas. Our daughter and her husband had an Indian/American fusion wedding with several events. So many details and vendors and DVS was the perfect choice to coordinate everything and help us celebrate both cultures! -

Hiring weddingwhisperer for Partial Planning was without a doubt the best decision I made during my wedding planning process! I needed someone I could rely on for boots on the ground and high touch support given that I live out of state in NJ but was planning a downtown Chicago South Asian (Bengali) wedding. Victoria went above and beyond in every way for me, providing me with recommendations and serving as a sounding board for the entire 10 month period, which entailed several vendor switches and challenging vendor management. While I couldn't physically be at my venue walkthrough and visit my decor vendor, I didn't need to worry because Victoria went on my behalf. to make sure everything got executed as per my vision. On my wedding day, Victoria saved the day multiple times. She always knew what to do to make things right - whether it was reaching out to her network of cake decorators to redecorate my cake on-site when my cake vendor decorated our cake wrong and refused to fix it, providing a tide to go pen when my husband spilled on his tux, or coordinating with the DJ on stopping the music immediately when I lost jewlery on the dance floor (got found within seconds due to her quick judgement). Dan and Victoria are a dream team on the wedding day! I saved a lot of money on hiring an event producer because they set up a ton of my decor and details that I bought online. I honestly don't know when they did set up because I felt like their focus was on me the entire time! I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that weddingwhisperer is the absolute best partner I could've imagined. Will miss working with them! -

Victoria and Dan are amazing! They kept our day running so smoothly and treated everyone with such kindness. I consider myself a very type A and organized person — I felt like I had everything under control and organized down to the smallest details. Even still, once the day arrives, you have no idea how busy things get and how necessary it is to have a planner like Wedding Whisperer. They kept us on our tight timeline and coordinated with all our vendors to ensure a seamless day where my now-husband and I could just be in the moment and not worry about the details. HIGHLY recommend!!! And cannot thank Victoria and Dan enough for all their hard work on our beautiful day! -

Words cannot describe how wonderful Victoria was in helping coordinate our wedding! She was very responsive to all of our questions, supportive with all our ideas, and helpful in executing our vision leading up to the wedding.
Additionally, Victoria's support and attentiveness during the weekend of our wedding was amazing. She was positive, informative, communicative, and reliable throughout! She made sure everything ran smoothly.
