Kalinda is a must hire wedding coordinator!
I could not recommend Kalinda and Dream It! Hawaii enough as a wedding coordinator. She was the best money we spent on our wedding. We hired her for her full wedding package because we had a big wedding (190 people) so we didn’t have to worry about details with vendors and so she could be involved in the process from the beginning. She went above and beyond! Stayed within budget, executed on everything we asked and then some. She even accommodated week of requests to add more details to make the best day of our lives perfect! The day was perfect in large part to her, she thought of every single detail, even ones we didn’t know about or ask for (like toiletries and refreshers in the bathrooms) and she made sure we did not have to worry about one thing the entire day. I don’t have enough words to capture the value and aloha she brought to our wedding. SHE IS THE BEST!

Day of coordination execution.
For our wedding day execution, we had Kalinda. Our 3 months coordination actually was through BevyBossHI (formerly black book HI) so for the months leading up to the day I spoke to Keani from BevyBossHI and was introduced to Kalinda a few weeks before our wedding. Kalinda is also part of Dreamithawaii which is another coordination service, but she works with Keani as well. I was a little nervous being that I have been speaking to Keani this whole time and wasn’t sure how the transition would be, but Kalinda was awesome and felt like she was the person I was talking to this whole time. We met her in person the first time during our rehearsal the day before our wedding, and she was so sweet and helpful. For wedding day, we had a few bigger pieces in the wedding that I had our groomsmen set up since I could explain how to set it up to them earlier in the week and they were heavy so we definitely needed the man power, but other than that, Kalinda and whoever else was there that day set everything else up so beautifully and if there were any problems that day, I didn’t even know about it. Our groomsmen even said that some of the things that they were supposed to set up that day were already being set up by her! She was quick to get everything together. We had quite of bit of things going on at our wedding, but everything was executed so nicely and as far as I know my guest had a great time. I also did a lot of DIY for the wedding and it was so amazing to see all the hard work placed and laid out so nicely for everyone to enjoy. She even coordinated my guest bringing their own chairs over from ceremony to reception, and coordinated our sparkler exit as well. My only regret is not being able to hang out with her/enjoy part of the party with her since she was working all night! But she was amazing and made it such a great night for me. From start to end it was a smooth day for me, and it was a breath of fresh air to step out of the bridal suit and see all the planning and coordination come to life thanks for Keani and Kalinda. -

I hired Kalinda as my day-of coordinator and she was exactly the help I needed. Not only did she coordinate the day of my wedding, but she also helped me for the entire year leading up to it. I could call or text her any time and she would get back to me promptly with such useful info. She really knows all the details that need to be sorted out- things I wouldn't have thought of on my own. When we decided to start the wedding planning process, I told my (now) husband that we MUST hire a wedding coordinator/planner. I knew I'd need help. He was very hesitant as he didn't think we needed one (of course he didn't...). We decided on a venue and it turned out that they required a "day of" coordinator at the very least. I turned to WeddingWire for suggestions and messages a bunch of planners for more information and pricing. Kalinda promptly got back to me and so we met up and hired her as a partial coordinator. I was so stressed out during this time, especially when vendors were taking so long to get back to me, but no matter what, Kalinda was always so sweet, kind, calm, and reassuring. We didn't realize how much we needed Kalinda until we had her helping us plan our wedding. She helped us through every little detail we would never have thought of and assisted with last-minute details and tasks until our wedding day. She even continued to help me get a refund from a vendor weeks after the wedding for a service we did not end up using. She was right all those times I was so worried- everything turned out great and I owe it to her! -

When my Wife and I were looking for wedding coordinators we were unsure of which one to go with. Being that we live in Vegas, it was important for us to find someone that we could truly rely on to bring our dream to life in Hawai’i. We were referred to Kalinda from our Hair & Makeup artist - Stephanie Hayasaka, and from our first conversation with her we knew that she was the one we wanted to go with.
Kalinda is amazing at what she does. She’s organized, efficient, knowledgeable, and so easy to work with. What separates her from others is that she treats you like family and is truly passionate about bringing your dream wedding to life. While Pregnant, she was still running around and hustling to ensure everything was going as planned, and it completely blew us away at how much effort she was putting in to ensure the best day possible for us. She goes above and beyond and effectively coordinates all of the different moving pieces that come with a wedding. Many of our guests complimented on how efficient and smoothly our wedding went, and that it was the most organized wedding they’ve ever been a part of. She is also very knowledgeable and during the planning process brought to light a lot of the little things that we overlooked. She knows a ton of vendors and will recommend the best ones based off of your wants/vision for your day.
We cannot say enough about Kalinda, and we highly recommend her for your wedding. Our special day wouldn’t have been possible without her!

If you’re reading this review, you HAVE to book Kalinda for your wedding!!
My husband and I were ambitious and made it our goal to plan a destination wedding in ~9 months. Our good friends referred us to Kalinda’s services as they were also having a destination wedding on Kualoa Ranch and had her as their planner. Based on their reviews, We knew from the start we were in good hands with Kalinda.
While she offers partial planning, day-of services, and an upgraded day-of coordinator services, which included unlimited consultation. We appreciated the upgraded option, which allowed us to email, text, call her work any questions we had during the planning process, as well as review any contracts from vendors. While this is doable for someone planning their wedding from afar, we wish we went with the partial planning option as it’s worth the investment for less stress in the planning process, and very helpful to have an expert and someone local to Oahu make recommendations and assist with booking vendors.
Working with Kalinda was such a pleasure- she’s responsive, friendly, and professional. She understood our vision and made recommendations that were within our budget. Last but not least, she’s an extremely hard working and genuinely sweet person who really took care of us the month leading up to our wedding day. I only wish we can rewind time to spend more time working with her. Thank you Kalinda!! -

I don’t even know where to start, but if I had only a few words - HIRE KALINDA & her team. she is the most professional, detail oriented, caring, wonderful, kind, amazing, I could go in FOREVER about how incredible she is.
I researched a lot of planners (I was planning from a different state), Kalinda met with me and my mom a few times and made us feel completely at ease planning from afar. She helped us find some vendors, worked with our budget, and gave us the best advice.
Fast forward a few months and bam - pandemic hits, hitting Hawaii’s wedding industry hard, Kalinda held in there with us, and we postponed a year. Well, fast forward another 352 days and Hawaii got hit had again with regulations from Covid again, we had to postpone again. I was completely heart broken this time, we were 10 days away. Kalinda helped me through deciding on what my now husband and I should do, as well as helped me chat with all the vendors to postpone again.
Finally - May 9th, 2022, we had our wedding!!! I, finally, got to meet Kalinda a few days before when we arrived on the island! She gave me a big hug and it was such a long time coming, it was like finally seeing a best friend after a very long time! We had chatted so much, it felt so right! She completely brought my vision to life, everything I had ever wanted. She will check every box you want, need, or don’t even know you had. Whether you know exactly what you want or don’t even know where to start, choose Dream It!

If it weren't for Kalinda and her team, I don't think we could have executed the wedding we had always dreamt of. She brought our vision to reality with her expertise, organizational skills, hard work ethic, and positive energy. I could tell she really cared about delivering the wedding we had imagined for ourselves and made sure to communicate all the nuances that go along with that to other involved like vendors, family, and our wedding parties. Leading up to the wedding, I knew we were in good hands with her quick response time and wealth of knowledge. She communicated with vendors on our behalf and orchestrated a well organized rehearsal with many moving parts (12 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, & 5 dogs!!). On the day of the wedding, she was on top of everything from start to finish-- she and her team played an integral role in set up & break down, even making sure many items were returned to us after the wedding, and of course, she made sure the ceremony and reception ran smoothly. She was even still quick to respond to our texts after the wedding regarding lost and found items, etc. Everyone was so impressed with her and her team and we are forever grateful that we got to work with Kalinda on our wedding day. -

Day Of Wedding Planner
Kalinda was our “day of” wedding coordinator, but she helped with so much more than that. From our first phone consultation, she helped me pick a venue, and from then on was always available to answer questions and give recommendations. The month of the wedding, she took over pretty much all of the coordination, and took so much stress off of me. And our wedding ended up being better than I could have ever imagined! My husband and I, our bridal party, and even our guests saw how hard Kalinda and her assistant Hauoli worked to throw this amazing wedding. Kalinda was amazing!
I hired Dream It Hawaii (Kalinda Ostermann) as a Day of Coordinator. I had already booked majority of my vendors and just needed help making sure everything runs smoothly the day of.
From the beginning Kalinda was very responsive. She gave me a call and we went over what kind of services i would be needing help with such as: making sure we get to the venues on time, the decorations get put out on the tables, communication with other vendors, making sure the vendors get paid, creating a timeline, etc. I paid the extra fee to be able to email her for random questions until her services for Day of kicked in 30days from the event date. At this time, i would message her inquiring about shuttle services, marriage licenses, little details, making sure i'm still sane at every point she's responded with reassurance and have provided me with recommendations.
She was there for the rehearsal and help grab the lei's we needed for the church. The day of the wedding she and her team grabbed some of the desserts i ordered, as well as some decorations. They also neatly packed everything up for me and sorted them in different bins since i had pre-sold my wedding decorations to 3 other brides (i had color coded everything to help with the sorting of stuff). She also made sure the groom and i had a plate of food and something to drink.
All in all, i think we had a great experience at our wedding and had the best time with our family and friends. That's truly what matters anyway. Thanks Kalinda and team for helping us finally seal the deal-- planning a wedding during the pandemic is not for the faint of heart. As organized as i believe myself to be, i still 1000% recommend hiring a Day of Coordinator to mind all the little details.

You'll have nothing to worry about if you book Dream It!
Kalinda was amazing and so on it. She helped make our wedding day so stress free. During the whole planning process she answered all of my questions and encouraged all of my wacky Doctor Who themed stuff. She was super easy to talk to yet felt professional the whole time too. She often brought up things I hadn't even thought of but made sure we were covered. Her recommendations for other vendors that I didn't already have were all wonderful and worked out great. Her timeline was amazing and helped keep us on track on the day of the wedding so we knew what to expect. Seriously on our wedding day we didn't really have to do anything but get married and live in the moment cause it was all taken care of. What were we thinking, wedding planning for a destination wedding all by ourselves? We started off talking to Kalinda because we HAD TO hire a wedding coordinator for our venue, not because we NEEDED her to help plan. Boy were we wrong! Kalinda was everything we needed and more! Originally planned a 100 person wedding in 2020 only to have it postponed to 2021. Then changed again to cut the guest list to comply with the ever changing mandates in HI. Then another compliance driven decision again when we cut the venue altogether and had a small beach ceremony. Kalinda reassured us and encouraged us, she rolled with it and was so supportive with our decisions. She had great advice and provided the assurance we needed when we had to make the tough decisions. She helped us by suggesting so many wonderful vendors of all types to make our day special. When the changes were down to the last minute she really came through and pulled together the bouquet, haku and leis! Along with other essentials to make the small ceremony special. A real miracle worker! She set things up and had things flowing the day of. This wedding wouldn't have been the same without her guidance. We are forever grateful for her and recommend that you meet her yourself. Hiring Kalinda was the first and easiest decision I made while wedding planning. She was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad I decided to use her throughout the process and as a day of coordinator. Kalinda recommended vendors, gave insight into vendors I found myself and had questions about, she brought so much insight and knowledge to the process that I never would have thought of. She was so helpful while planning but there truly are no words to thank her for how helpful she was the week and day of the wedding. I am SO grateful to Kalinda from for so many reasons. I began working with her in January of 2020 for a big wedding that would take place 8 months later. She didn't even blink an eye at that short time frame for our size of wedding. From the start she was incredible. And then this tiny world wide pandemic happened causing us to postpone our wedding ceremony an entire year, and through all of THAT she was still incredible. Like most COVID Couples, we decided to elope on our original date and will do a vow renewal a year from now with everyone. Kalinda was supportive through the entire process and helped make our elopement special and perfect with her attention to detail and overall knowledge of this type of event.
In addition to her flexibility and being able to roll with the punches of this crazy new norm, she was professional, she was organized, she has great attention to detail and she helped me think of things I didn't even know I needed to think of when it came to planning a wedding. The vendors she suggested have all been amazing to work with. She saved me a lot of time and headache from having to do the work of researching vendors, comparing prices, reviewing contracts, etc etc. I cannot sing her praises enough. I feel LUCKY that I get to work with her twice- for our elopement and four our big ceremony in 2021. If you have no idea where to start when it comes to planning a wedding, she is perfect for you. Our venue required that we hire a day-of coordinator and I have to admit that I didn’t understand the necessity at the time. Now that our wedding day has come and gone, I have to write a review and let everyone know: Hire Dream It and Kalinda’s team even if your venue doesn’t require you to have a coordinator!
Kalinda was a lifesaver so many times during our wedding day. She was so prepared for all the things we didn’t see coming, and all the things we thought we were ready for and really weren’t. Our day was more perfect than we could have hoped for, and it was all because Kalinda and her team were working quickly and quietly in the background to make it so. Highly recommending Kalinda’s team for your wedding! -

Attentive, Professional and Friendly Local Coordinator
Kalinda was very attentive, professional and friendly! We highly recommend her services. As the bride, I was able to completely relax on the big day. Our centerpieces needed to be redesigned due to strong winds at the same time I was doing hair and make-up. Kalinda was able to improvise beautifully without disturbing me during my special moments leading up to the ceremony. I absolutely loved her re-vamped of decor. From the groom's perspective, he never had to worry about her not doing her job.
From the very beginning, Kalinda was able to recommend vendors and vendor packages that saved us time and money. She was also able to provide a lot of extra services herself and when a vendor was less expensive than herself, she said so and recommended we go with the vendor.
As we got closer to the event, she led us through the process in bite size pieces without overwhelming us all at one time. Her encouragement and kind words of "You're doing great!" helped a lot! She made the process easy and fun for everyone.
Our family and vendors really loved her!!
We have some cousins we hope will be getting married soon, and we highly recommend Kalinda to them! She was friendly and professional while adding a local touch.

Kalinda was our wedding secret weapon. We opted for day of plus unlimited advice but we got so much more than that. My wife and I felt very organized but Kalinda helped remind us of a few details we may have forgotten otherwise and was always available to answer our questions. She made herself available to do a walkthrough of the property a few months beforehand to get a better idea of how the wedding activities would run day of and where to situate vendors. This was crucial and made the whole day flow perfectly! The timeline she put together was incredibly detailed, and she gave applicable copies to all the right people. She made sure all of our contractors were organized, paid for, and handled coordinating their arrivals on the wedding day. She kept the whole night on track without being pushy or rude; whenever I looked around, I saw her on the edge, smiling the whole time and ready to jump in to help at the drop of a pin. At one point, she was even on her hands and knees picking up pieces of broken glass after a water glass accident put our no shoes wedding in jeopardy. I didn’t have to fret or lift a finger the whole day of my wedding and I feel like a HUGE part of that was thanks to Kalinda. I would highly recommend her services. -

Kalinda is seriously the best wedding planner. We hired her for our wedding in May as a day of coordinator and it was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. She took time to meet with me, to go over our vision and offered great advice on what she knows works and what doesn't. Her knowledge of the industry, trends and venue locations was such a huge help in planning. On the actual wedding day she came early to help set everything up and make sure everything went smoothly. It was hot that day too and she had a smile on her face the whole time she was running around organizing out tables and decorations. Our wedding ceremony and reception went so smoothly and it was all because of Kalinda. She was the last to leave too, helped us clean up and put everything in our cars. I really can't express how great it was to have her in charge of such an important special day. She did an amazing job with everything and I will always be thankful to her for making our wedding so beautiful. Thank you thank you thank you! -

Amazingly Beautiful. Dream It exceeded all expectations!
After the wedding, a guest wrote us to say our wedding was one of the most beautiful she had ever attended. We were blown away ourselves by how wonderful it all turned out. Besides the sheer beauty to rave about, Kalinda and her team fixed problems that popped up during planning and matched us up with vendors that fit our style. She'd get more than 5 stars if that were an option. Unfortunately, most pictures won't upload here (size?) but I got a few to stick. -

First let me start off by saying I didn't think I needed a coordinator. I have everything in my life organised - from the spice cabinet to taxes to excel sheets to sock drawers - so I thought I could plan our own wedding. However, I was wrong and thankfully Kalinda has powers of organisation and forethought that is out-of-this world. She is thoughtful, has an excellent memory for details, and really hears out your "vision" to make it happen. I could literally not have imagined a more perfect wedding. I say without hyperbole that nothing went wrong and everything went just as planned. I really couldn't have done it without her. -
Karissa Sent on 08/29/2018I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dream It Weddings & Events. We are SO thankful we were able to work with them to plan our wedding this July at Kualoa Ranch. Kalinda thought of everything - she was thorough, prepared, relaxed, and so incredibly kind. It is obvious that she truly cares about her clients and her positive energy extends throughout the whole planning process. On top of that her prices are very reasonable.
Jason and I were a little nervous about planning a wedding because we had a Hawaii destination wedding so we were planning everything remotely from California. Thankfully Kalinda stepped in and took care of everything. Thanks to her we were not stressed at all on our wedding day or in the weeks leading up to it! Kalinda went above and beyond for us and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to plan a wedding on Oahu! -
