I am SO grateful to Kalinda from for so many reasons. I began working with her in January of 2020 for a big wedding that would take place 8 months later. She didn't even blink an eye at that short time frame for our size of wedding. From the start she was incredible. And then this tiny world wide pandemic happened causing us to postpone our wedding ceremony an entire year, and through all of THAT she was still incredible. Like most COVID Couples, we decided to elope on our original date and will do a vow renewal a year from now with everyone. Kalinda was supportive through the entire process and helped make our elopement special and perfect with her attention to detail and overall knowledge of this type of event.
In addition to her flexibility and being able to roll with the punches of this crazy new norm, she was professional, she was organized, she has great attention to detail and she helped me think of things I didn't even know I needed to think of when it came to planning a wedding. The vendors she suggested have all been amazing to work with. She saved me a lot of time and headache from having to do the work of researching vendors, comparing prices, reviewing contracts, etc etc. I cannot sing her praises enough. I feel LUCKY that I get to work with her twice- for our elopement and four our big ceremony in 2021. If you have no idea where to start when it comes to planning a wedding, she is perfect for you. If you know exactly what you want for a wedding and you need someone to bring it to life, she is perfect for you. -

Her ability to help me plan such a beautiful/special day through really tough & stressful times with ease is something I'm eternally grateful for. What were we thinking, wedding planning for a destination wedding all by ourselves? We started off talking to Kalinda because we HAD TO hire a wedding coordinator for our venue, not because we NEEDED her to help plan. Boy were we wrong! Kalinda was everything we needed and more! Originally planned a 100 person wedding in 2020 only to have it postponed to 2021. Then changed again to cut the guest list to comply with the ever changing mandates in HI. Then another compliance driven decision again when we cut the venue altogether and had a small beach ceremony. Kalinda reassured us and encouraged us, she rolled with it and was so supportive with our decisions. She had great advice and provided the assurance we needed when we had to make the tough decisions. She helped us by suggesting so many wonderful vendors of all types to make our day special. When the changes were down to the last minute she really came through and pulled together the bouquet, haku and leis! Along with other essentials to make the small ceremony special. A real miracle worker! She set things up and had things flowing the day of. This wedding wouldn't have been the same without her guidance. We are forever grateful for her and recommend that you meet her yourself. You'll know right away that she's all in and all about her couples to make their vision come to life no matter what the circumstances. -

Kalinda is seriously the best wedding planner. We hired her for our wedding in May as a day of coordinator and it was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. She took time to meet with me, to go over our vision and offered great advice on what she knows works and what doesn't. Her knowledge of the industry, trends and venue locations was such a huge help in planning. On the actual wedding day she came early to help set everything up and make sure everything went smoothly. It was hot that day too and she had a smile on her face the whole time she was running around organizing out tables and decorations. Our wedding ceremony and reception went so smoothly and it was all because of Kalinda. She was the last to leave too, helped us clean up and put everything in our cars. I really can't express how great it was to have her in charge of such an important special day. She did an amazing job with everything and I will always be thankful to her for making our wedding so beautiful. Thank you thank you thank you! -

She made sure everything went smoothly and vendors and everyone were on the same page of communication. 10/10 would recommend her to help you plan your magical wedding day. When we decided to start the wedding planning process, I told my (now) husband that we MUST hire a wedding coordinator/planner. I knew I'd need help. He was very hesitant as he didn't think we needed one (of course he didn't...). We decided on a venue and it turned out that they required a "day of" coordinator at the very least. I turned to WeddingWire for suggestions and messages a bunch of planners for more information and pricing. Kalinda promptly got back to me and so we met up and hired her as a partial coordinator. I was so stressed out during this time, especially when vendors were taking so long to get back to me, but no matter what, Kalinda was always so sweet, kind, calm, and reassuring. We didn't realize how much we needed Kalinda until we had her helping us plan our wedding. She helped us through every little detail we would never have thought of and assisted with last-minute details and tasks until our wedding day. She even continued to help me get a refund from a vendor weeks after the wedding for a service we did not end up using. She was right all those times I was so worried- everything turned out great and I owe it to her! -

First let me start off by saying I didn't think I needed a coordinator. I have everything in my life organised - from the spice cabinet to taxes to excel sheets to sock drawers - so I thought I could plan our own wedding. However, I was wrong and thankfully Kalinda has powers of organisation and forethought that is out-of-this world. She is thoughtful, has an excellent memory for details, and really hears out your "vision" to make it happen. I could literally not have imagined a more perfect wedding. I say without hyperbole that nothing went wrong and everything went just as planned. I really couldn't have done it without her. -

Kalinda was amazing!
I hired Dream It Hawaii (Kalinda Ostermann) as a Day of Coordinator. I had already booked majority of my vendors and just needed help making sure everything runs smoothly the day of.
From the beginning Kalinda was very responsive. She gave me a call and we went over what kind of services i would be needing help with such as: making sure we get to the venues on time, the decorations get put out on the tables, communication with other vendors, making sure the vendors get paid, creating a timeline, etc. I paid the extra fee to be able to email her for random questions until her services for Day of kicked in 30days from the event date. At this time, i would message her inquiring about shuttle services, marriage licenses, little details, making sure i'm still sane at every point she's responded with reassurance and have provided me with recommendations.
She was there for the rehearsal and help grab the lei's we needed for the church. The day of the wedding she and her team grabbed some of the desserts i ordered, as well as some decorations. They also neatly packed everything up for me and sorted them in different bins since i had pre-sold my wedding decorations to 3 other brides (i had color coded everything to help with the sorting of stuff). She also made sure the groom and i had a plate of food and something to drink.
All in all, i think we had a great experience at our wedding and had the best time with our family and friends. That's truly what matters anyway. Thanks Kalinda and team for helping us finally seal the deal-- planning a wedding during the pandemic is not for the faint of heart. As organized as i believe myself to be, i still 1000% recommend hiring a Day of Coordinator to mind all the little details.
