  Best day ever!

  If you are looking for an 'all-inclusive' feel to your wedding day ceremony and reception, I would totally recommend DoubleTree Meadow Lands! The entire staff was so attentive and worked with us in making our day the way we wanted with special details and different options. Special shout out to Lia - Wedding and Catering Sales Manager - she was so on top of everything, very well organized, answered my every email/call promptly and professionally, even carried one of my flower girls down the aisle when they got shy. I will treasure that memory for sure! The guys at the front desk were amazing as well, we worked with Tim a good bit, everyone was so personable, genuine, and made sure our day and our stay was up to our expectations. We had quite a few people from out of town stay at the hotel for a night, if not more, and the staff was so helpful in getting everyone settled in and taken care of throughout their stay. I cannot thank the staff enough for all their hard work!

  Our wedding day

  My reception at the Doubletree was fantastic . Room looked beautiful. Everyone was very attentive, food was amazing and I have gotten many compliments. Nicole the lady in charge was great!

  I had my NYE wedding at the DoubleTree Meadow Lands and I honestly cannot say enough to compliment how wonderful everything turned out. We choose the all inclusive package. Daniel, Stefanie, and Michelle were amazing. They waited on me and my bridal party all day. They made sure everything was perfect. When we got to walk through the reception area for a first look, I seriously wanted to cry. It was so beautiful and exactly what we wanted. They paid attention to every small detail down to our snack table. Our guests raved about the hotel, food, and service all weekend. Michelle even helped the groomsmen with their pocket squares and ties! She was a lifesaver on the day of. I would highly recommend having your wedding here.

  The doubletree had earned a 1 star review from me for several reasons, ranging across the spectrum, but their stand in wedding sales rep Stefanie turned it around for me. I still wouldn’t say everything was perfect for me, but Stefanie and Michelle deserve 5 stars.

  Danielle, our wedding coordinator was SO great! She made every little change we needed, even up until the day before the wedding. The room looked beautiful and the food was amazing. Everyone thought it was a terrific wedding reception. My only negative comment would be that the cookies were not attended to... a couple types ran out in the room and were not replenished.

  We used this facility for our wedding venue and very surprised. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. It was right within our budget and we are very happy we had our wedding here!!

  I had my Bridal shower and wedding reception at the Holiday Inn and could not have been happier! Mary Ann and Pete were wonderful! The food was amazing, the room looked beautiful and Mary Ann and Pete were there for us from beginning to end! The Holiday Inn is the best place to have any party or wedding reception. Thank you Mary Ann and Pete!

  The staff and venue are amazing. We had my son's wedding there this past weekend and everything was exceptional! Shout out to Dan, Michelle and Stefanie for making everything perfect down to the last detail.

  My daughter's wedding was on 9-14-13. We had so many comments, and 3 weeks later, I am still receiving positive calls from people. Everything about this venue is spectacular. The food was amazing - delicious, top quality and served to each guest hot! The decor was gorgeous. Yes, we went with the platinum package that included chair covers, centerpieces (we worked with the local florist and upgraded - our chocie and even used them for all the girls' bouquets), cake (we worked with the local baker), top shelf alcohol, etc. We did pay for extras - upgraded cocktail hour to include a pierogie bar - hit of the night - and sparkly table runners, etc. The wedding consultant, MaryAnn was very easy to work with although sometimes difficult to reach. She cooordinated everything with all our other vendors. She promised us a beautiful wedding and it was. Even some of our "known for complaning" relatives had only positive things to say. (MaryAnn has since been promoted and Danielle Gillespie is now working with the brides. We had brief contact with her. My husband and I and the groom's parents gave the young couple exactly what they wanted and deserved. Yes, I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants an elegant affair. And it's only about 20 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport. We had a lot of out-of-town guests and this was perfect. With The Meadows Casino and Racetrack within walking distance (the hotel provides a shuttle) and Tanger OUtlets across the highway, this was the ideal location for a great weekend wedding experience!

  We picked the DoubleTree because that is where we met, so it made sense to have our wedding there!
  The only reason why I did not give them a full 5 is because of the confusion we had in the process leading up to the wedding. We had a total of 3 different wedding coordinators in the short months when we booked until the wedding. It of course was fine, but they did not even let me know about them letting the first coordinator go until a couple weeks after. The second coordinator was all about her own wedding and had a bad attitude. They let her go 2 months before our wedding and I found out because she stopped replying to my emails and after a month of no communications I went to the venue and that's where I was told she was no longer with the company for over a month. Talk about unprofessional. I wanted to cry because it was a month before my wedding, I never met the coordinator, and when I did she had very little information about my wedding due to the previous coordinators not being organized. It was a little hectic to say the least. I am however glad I stuck with it and we did have the wedding there. It really is a beautiful venue and once things got worked out it was well worth it. The food was amazing and not overly priced.
  Only other thing that upset me was we paid to have 3 kinds of beer and they only provided 2, but we were running around so much we barley got to enjoy anything so no big deal.

  I recently had my wedding here and was very satisfied with how it went. The wedding planner, Danielle is very efficient and easy to work with. The staff makes an exceptional meal and feeds the wedding guests in a timely manner.

  Don't Book

  I signed my contract over a year ago with a previous wedding coordinator, Lia. She was great and the reason why other reviews on here are so high. She’s no longer there so I was given a different wedding coordinator, Abigail. I didn't want their provided centerpieces or cake. Since it's a package, I was initially told by Lia that if I didn't want it, of course I wouldn’t be charged for it. Why would I pay the hotel for a cake and centerpieces that are not being ordered, made, or purchased? A few months before the wedding, Abigail tells me that regardless of whether I want their items, I still have to pay for them. So now I'm stuck with stuff that I bought, and have to pay the DoubleTree on top of it? How ridiculous! So, I go and order a cake and flowers that I don't want. I was not going to pay for it and have nothing. What were they going to do with that money? (seems shady) The best part- on my wedding day, the flower shop didn't even show up because Abigail never confirmed it with them. So on my wedding day, I find out I have absolutely no centerpieces. The centerpieces that I didn't even want! The flower shop threw something together and put them on the tables. I paid full price for something that I didn't want and was thrown together at the last minute before my wedding started. I find it ridiculous that I was forced to get it and it was a disaster. I got married a month ago. I was giving the DoubleTree time to try to reach out and apologize.. at least try to do something, but guess what? They don't care. They got their money. I'm grateful that this whole thing is over. That's how I felt about my own wedding. When I signed my contract, I was told that I could get a 5% increase per person on the price, which I understand. They charged me a 15% increase per person from the prices that I signed with. Imagine how upsetting it is weeks before your wedding whenever you're given a bill that increases this much. Things that I wanted, I could no longer have because they were an upcharge (and I was told initially they weren't). They kept trying to add more money to my total and went against everything I was told prior to signing. All I was treated like was money; nobody reaching out to make up for the things that went wrong proves that. I wasn’t told about tastings until the last one. When I asked about it I was told they were on social media. I apparently had to follow their Twitter for updates about my wedding. Danielle was with us on the wedding day. Although, it seemed like she would rather be anywhere else. She was rude the entire time. I’d ask questions and get attitude in response. Abigail collects the information prior to the wedding and she’s not even there on the wedding day. There were things we wanted that we told her about and she didn’t even bother passing it on. Abigail didn’t care about my wedding. Our food took forever to come out. By the time guests were served, we had an hour and a half for dancing. The day already goes fast and we barely had time for the fun part. The whole thing was a mess. I would never recommend this venue. I’ve regretted signing with the DoubleTree every day since my wedding. I have a lot more to say, but I’m limited in length. All I wanted was a beautiful wedding day. Instead, I'm left with regrets. I didn't feel like a bride at all. We paid a ton of money for the DoubleTree experience and got the Dollar Tree experience instead. You deserve to feel special on your wedding day. Book a different venue.
