Alex, Peggy, and the entire DWS team are the BEST! They truly were lifesavers throughout the planning process. As a Type A bride who didn’t want to relinquish all planning control, we selected the Lady In Waiting package and it was perfect. Alex and Peggy were advisors throughout the entire process; providing recommendations and assistance.
Their style was perfect for my needs and Alex was an absolute GEM during our wedding weekend. Her calming demeanor helped ease my stresses as a bride and brought our wedding together perfectly.
Alex and Peggy’s unique areas of expertise made them an excellent planning team. Their relationships and experience with vendors and venues in the FL Keys really helped as I planned my wedding from NY. They were also extremely helpful in taking unbiased stances as I evaluated vendors and not once did I feel like I was steered in the wrong direction.
We cannot recommend the DWS team enough as planners for your FL Keys wedding.

I live in Pennsylvania and we were having a destination wedding in Key West, Florida we got married at the REACH hotel, which I would highly recommend!! Peggy and her team at destination wedding was an absolute fairy godmother scenario! They thought of everything helped me every step of the way and I could not have had the wedding my dreams without them! Peggy was absolutely amazing throughout the whole year as well as the month leading up to the event and the day of! If you are planning a wedding in the Florida area, especially any of the keys peggy and her team will make your dreams!!

Destination Wedding Studio planners were a pleasure and a delight to work with while planning my wedding. Their impeccable attention to every detail created a beautiful venue. They implemented my vision of my wedding flawlessly. Always responsive to my questions or concerns gave me peace of mind throughout this process. They work extremely close with the vendors in Key West and are highly respected by everyone we talked to. Peggy was my fairy godmother leading up to and on my wedding day. Our wedding was canceled due to Hurricane Ian so we decided to plan a last minute wedding in the keys. I sent Peggy an email late at night telling her we have a venue and a date with less than two months to plan a whole new wedding and needed help. She called me 10 minutes later and put all my worries at ease. She found us vendors, called me at a minimum once a week to check in, and had the whole day coordinated perfectly. I truly cannot say enough good things about Peggy and her husband. If you are getting married in the keys you need Peggy!!!

I can’t say enough great things about working with Peggy! I was worried about planning a wedding with a full time job that keeps me busy all the time so I decided I would go with the lady in waiting service! If you want a completely stress free process, Peggy is your lady! She was there for us through the whole process and pushing back our wedding for COVID. She had recommendations every step of the way and even was able to reign in our groomsmen who are so much fun but can be a handful 😜. She even helped throw my garter on a few minutes before the toss! We had forgot it in the room with all the craziness of the day and she didn’t even blink! My sister has already told me that she’s going to need Peggy for her wedding 🤣 Thank you so much Peggy! You made our wedding a day we will always remember. The day went absolutely perfectly thanks to you!

Must-Have Wedding Planners!
My husband and I got married on 4/24/21 at Isla Bella Beach Resort, and one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding was hiring Destination Wedding Studio. We would choose them a thousand times over again. They helped plan and execute the most perfect wedding day we could ever dream of! We 100% recommend their planning services to absolutely everyone getting married. Even before hiring them when we had our initial call with Peggy, we had been feeling completely overwhelmed with our timeline of less than 3 months, and Peggy reassured us and helped us with all of our questions and offered suggestions based on her extensive knowledge and experience in the business. The minute we hired them, Peggy and Alex immediately started helping us get organized with our vendors, timeline, and everything we needed to do. Hands down THE BEST in the business.
We worked with Alex for our wedding day and she was a complete rockstar! Super communicative, helpful with all of our questions, concerns, and offered honest real advice. She made us feel comfortable and less stressed immediately from the beginning. She was super fun to work with throughout all of our weekly calls and emails leading up to our big day. Day-of, Alex was nothing short of amazing! Always checking in on us throughout the night, made sure we had a drink in our hands, and walked us through the entire wedding timeline. She made sure everything was executed perfectly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! It was an absolute dream, thanks to the DWS team. I cannot say enough about how amazing they are. Peggy is a Bride’s Best Friend
I do not know if there is enough I could say to thank Peggy for how much she did for our wedding day. I had to worry about nothing. She had every vendor organized, the decor was spot on exactly what I wanted without me even being able to attic it, and she was so sweet. She never put a cap on how many times we could chat, and she never got annoyed with my random email questions when I had silly thoughts in the middle of the night. Peggy is a godsend. I would not have been able to pull of the wedding without her. I will be forever grateful.

Our wedding at Audubon House and Tropical Gardens in Key West was perfect!! It met all our expectations and more, thanks to Peggy Russell, of Destination Wedding Studio. Peggy was absolutely wonderful to work with, professional, and extremely organized. She was great leading up to our special day and everything ran like clockwork! We couldn't have been happier with the way the evening went and the vendors she had suggested. Since our wedding was scheduled during the pandemic, we were stressed over what to do but she was cool as a cucumber and seemed to take it all in stride, even reassuring us that we could reschedule if we wanted and she would work with our venue and vendors to coordinate a new date. We ended up going through with our original date, which required a different layout because there were fewer people than originally planned. Peggy did a great job as though she had done it thousands of times before. I highly recommend Peggy if you are getting married in the Keys or surrounding area- she knows everyone and everything! Peggy had it all under control. She was absolutely amazing!

Absolutely amazing!
My mom and I both agreed that the best choice we made throughout the whole wedding planning process was having Peggy as our wedding planner! We was so attentive, kind, and helpful and truly did more for us than we ever even expected. She gave us amazing advice on decor, choosing vendors, etc and was always available for meetings and to answer our questions. She also has a very keen eye for design which is why we chose her in the first place (since I'm not very creative). In fact, we've planned TWO entire weddings from start to finish with Peggy since our first wedding was canceled only a few weeks prior in May 2020 in Key West due to COVID-19. She then helped us plan an entirely new wedding in Miami within a few months that came out absolutely gorgeous and perfect despite the circumstances. She always kept it cool calm and collected despite plans changing daily the week up to the wedding. We truly couldn't have picked a better person to work with and we are sad that the process is over!

I had already booked my vendors for the wedding before I met Peggy, but it was so great to find out Peggy had personally worked with everyone of them and they all seemed like a close knit Keys family. Peggy, Alex and Chuck are the dream team. I live in Michigan and planned my entire wedding with them without ever have stepping foot on Key West before. They are true professionals with incredible attention to detail and design. Our wedding was a mixed culture wedding and they handled each unique request we asked of them with pleasure. Peggy Russell was my day of wedding planner at Hawks Cay. But she went above and beyond. She ended up being my florist and designed my table scape. I had a florist but last minute had to cut my budget and Peggy stepped in and did it better than I could have imagined. The flowers were exquisite. She also was the officiant for the ceremony and everything she said was perfect for our relationship and the type of ceremony we had envisioned. Destination weddings is a great choice for a wedding planner.

Mother of the bride
When my niece got married a couple of years ago, Peggy was a life saver. I won’t go into details, but there was a hurricane that year and we didn’t know if we would be able to get into Key West, but Peggy had it all under control. So When my daughter got engaged, Peggy was the first contact I made and that was the best thing I could have done. She is amazing! She guided us every step of the way. She really listens to your dream and makes it happen. Any time my daughter or I would feel stressed, Peggy, with all her experience and love for what she does, always knew exactly what to say or do to calm us down. The day of the wedding, when we finally saw the finished product, we were amazed at how absolutely perfectly she made my daughter and son in law’s vision come to life. It was everything they had imagined and more!! She is truly the best!!! Trust me, I could never have done this without her.

When I arrived at our wedding venue I was absolutely amazed. Peggy really does take your vision and goes above and beyond. I did the "lady in waiting" package and it was perfect for me. For the design, I had a good idea of what I wanted, but Peggy really brought it to life and knew all the best vendors to work with. I spent so many nights talking with her on the phone looking through plates, linens and florals. She has such a great eye and would recommend things that I wouldn't have thought of. She is also so positive and so nice to work with. A week before our wedding it was looking like a huge storm was going to come in. Our wedding was supposed to be completely outside and I immediately started to panic, but Peggy stayed so calm and started planning the rain back up. It ended up being perfect weather, but im sure if it rained she still would have found a way to make it beautiful. Peggy and her team made my dream come to life on my wedding day/weekend! I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding especially in Key West she knew the vendors well and had great recommendations. I also would recommend the couples visit Key West a couple months before the wedding to go over last things such as food tasting and venue/decoration set-up it makes things less stressful and more enjoyable being able to visit each vendor and meet with Peggy and her team. Peggy & Chuck are THE BEST!
We were so happy to have gotten to work with Peggy and Chuck. Peggy made sure to be on top of every detail of our wedding and worked with our budget. Chuck was our officiant and I can't rave enough about the beauty of the ceremony he performed. It was very windy that day and I ended up having to take my veil off in the middle of the ceremony. I had no place to put it so Chuck immediately took it and held it for me until the end of the ceremony. Peggy called me the day after the wedding to get a quick assessment from me and I thought that was very telling of the type of people we were working with. They had our backs and we felt they genuinely cared. Thank you both!

Let’s see…Where do I even begin?! My husband and I have been in awe over how incredible our wedding day was because of Peggy at Destination Wedding Studio! I have heard from so many of our guests how beautiful the wedding was, how impressed they were, and that not one detail went untouched.
Peggy has been so wonderful from the very start of us contacting each other! She put up with countless questions, emails, calls, and texts and I can’t thank her enough for her kindness and patience. She caught my vision and guided me to the absolute perfect wedding day.
Originally my husband and I were to be married on September 21, 2017, but mother nature had other plans for us! About two weeks prior to our wedding Hurricane Irma hit the Keys. I was devastated, but could not have been in better hands than Peggy's. She contacted me before, during and after the hurricane, all while evacuating and not knowing what was left of her home and business. Peggy has been there to help see us through every step of the way! I don’t know how to express her how much her patience, understanding, guidance, and support has meant to us over the past two years! I remember going and back and forth with her a million times after Hurricane Irma trying to decide just what to do. Peggy knew my vision and helped guide me to make the perfect decision to make my wedding day even more incredible than I could have ever imagined!
On October 28, 2018, I remember my dad and I walking out to start our walk down the aisle. The door opened cueing us to begin and I looked out over the ceremony and it was more than I could have ever imagined! I was stunned! I could not have dreamt up a more beautiful wedding! The arch standing so eloquently overlooking Hawks Cay Channel, the placement of the signage, the flowers, the anchors, and everything was just perfect! I remember looking over at the reception area while we were walking down the steps and seeing the slate blue linens flowing in the breeze, the centerpieces were so unique and different than what I imagined in the best way! I had this overwhelming feeling of calmness when I stepped out and saw all of this because after over two years of Peggy and me planning, the time had FINALLY come and my vision (so much better than my vision) had come to life!
Peggy truly made this once in a lifetime experience so incredibly special for my husband, myself, and every single one of our guests!

Peggy is just AMAZING!!!
Do not get married without Peggy and her team!!! She was an instrumental part of our special day last December and it would not have been the same without her. We were married at Smathees Beach and had our intimate wedding reception at a cute B&B in Key West, Peggy and her design team created all the decor and beautiful flower arrangements to go with our theme, it was better than I could have ever imagined! She was our wedding officiant and we cherish how sweet and thoughtful our ceremony was, our guests were just awed by the ceremony itself! And, Peggy did a great job of organizing and coordinating everything, I had absolutely no stress the entire weekend because we knew we were in great hands!!! The best thing Peggy did, help keep me calm during a hurricane that came though a few months prior. She is just a wonderful, caring, amazing person, and her entire team is creative, thoughtful, and always willing to go above and beyond.

The wedding is phenomenal
I truly can't say enough wonderful things about Peggy and the entire team at Destination Wedding Studio. Choosing Destination Wedding Studio and working with Peggy was the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning & preparation process.
Peggy was on top of everything, creative, artistic, communicative, kind, knowledgeable, professional and flexible. From our first call, she took the time to get to know us and understood the vision of what we wanted for our most important day of life. She helped us with vendor selections, communicated with all the vendors, handled all the details, and went through the arrangements many times before the wedding day to make sure everything sounded good to me. On the day of the event, Peggy was present and active, we didn't have to worry about a single thing. Everything was taken care of, smooth and seamless, and we just enjoyed our big day with our guests.
I also have to give a shout out to Peggy and the florist Duarte Floral Design for the stunning wedding decor. They turned my abstract ideas into reality, and it was more beautiful than I could ever imagine!
We felt so lucky to have Peggy. She made us stay positive, organized and relaxed. The guests all said it was a big success and the most beautiful wedding they'd attended.

Peggy and her team truly out did themselves. As a hospitality professional, I have worked with many wedding planners in my years. Peggy, from day one, was the most professional, attentive, supportive and creative of them all. So I just knew I had to have her for myself one day. Peggy and her team are a true DREAM, as well as wedding savers! My husband and I were supposed to wed in 2017, but due to Hurricane Irma we were forced to post pone. Originally, we worked with another planning team and switched to Peggy and DWS because of the poor service we received initially. Oh my gosh, it was the BEST decision we could have made! Peggy will make sure that your day goes by flawlessly, from coordinating rentals (picking them up for you even!), finding vendors for you, making sure you get a good deal, you name it! She does it, and all with a smile. She was more than just a wedding planner to us, she made sure that our voices were heard and that our day truly reflected who we are as a couple. My dream wedding and my dream planning experience! I owe the most amazing weekend of my life to Peggy from DWS. from Texas and my now husband (whoop!) is from the U.K. but we live and were planning our Key West wedding from Australia (Perth, which couldn't be farther). I actually don't know where to begin with my overwhelming praise to give to Peggy. I guess to start I kept thinking if she could just do what she did for other people, for me, I'd be happy. '
I booked Peggy for full planning as planning from that far was going to be super hard. As well as everyone I know assumed I'd be the biggest bridezilla (thanks for the confidence fam). Let me just say - she is worth every cent, penny and dollar. I was the most relaxed bride (from start to finish) because of her. First, she made planning effortless. When we made a trip to Key West 6 months before the wedding to vacay and plan. She booked all of our wedding appointments for us. She gave us insight to the BEST vendors in the area - couldn't be happier with every single one.
When I said I'd be happy with the other weddings she has styled - I was totally wrong. Peggy is more than "cookie cutter" she is an artist and creator. She made MY wedding dreams come true and made everything so personal and brought a perfect vision to life!
Most importantly I couldn't have been more relaxed on our big day knowing Peggy was there. She had proved to me over and over to really trust her and I knew no matter what happened (as in my dress train turned black during my first look, hours before my ceremony) everything was going to be perfect. And it was - I couldn't have cared less for anything that went wrong (which is inevitable). I owe it to Peggy. No one ever called me bridezilla. I thought about nothing on our day but marrying the man of my dreams and having the BEST time with family and friends. She made magic that night and everyone could feel it. Peggy saved my sanity and wedding after having to change my original ceremony/reception location due to Irma. She talked me through all of my concerns and questions until we found another location that we were sure would be equivalent to our original choice. She is excellent at communicating and following every intimate detail of how you are wanting your day to go. When we decided to get married in Key West, it was very important to find the right partner as our wedding planner to bring the best styling, decor and design vision available to the mix -- not simply someone who would look for my direction and then implement, which I think is pretty easy to find amongst the many planners in Key West, but rather someone who could take our vision, theme and desires and turn it into something better than we could even imagine. In Peggy Russell and DWS, we found such a partner. Not only was Peggy spot on with every vendor she recommended (and they all love working with her, which helps immensely in bringing together an incredible day/event), but she also delivered the most gorgeous wedding we could have imagined. People often say - "something always goes wrong with a wedding" -- well, I can honestly say that not only did nothing go wrong, but it was better and more seamless than expected. The working collaboration in the months leading up to the event were a great balance of give and take -- one of my favorite working sessions was with Peggy and the florist (Duarte) and they so impressed me with their creativity and style; I knew at that moment that they were experts in their craft. On the day of, we were able to soak in every second of our celebration -- to enjoy every detail, ever beautiful flower and detail on our incredible dinner table, dancing with our guests and watching everyone be delighted and charmed with the design elements and overall feel, while not having to sweat the details because Peggy and her assistant were on top of everything. I can't say enough about how great this partnership was -- when you see the pictures of how gorgeous her decor and design has been for weddings, know that she will do that for you and more in line with your own inspiration and style.

I honestly don't know where to start. The whole wedding process can be a bit stressful however everything pulled together perfectly and I know it was because I hired the right wedding planner. Prior to talking with Peggy (Destination Wedding Studios) I made a few other phone calls but was constantly rushed off the phone. What a relief when I finally got Peggy on the phone. Our initial conversation was about 30 minutes talking about ideas and options, going through photos and discussing my vision. She completely understood what I wanted and my goodness, she pulled it together perfectly. Her design was exactly what I dreamed about and more.
A quick note to a new bride. No matter who you hire as your planner you will have to contact different vendors (DJ, photographer, hair and make-up) and find who works best with you. Peggy does provide a vendor list however take the time to research. Once you hire everyone Peggy will take over. She will set timelines with everyone and will communicate with everyone for the big day. Your only job will be to show up at the wedding. This was such a relief because once I arrived in Key West I did not want to do anything except enjoy my vacation and my wedding weekend. In terms of your wedding design please let her do her thing. I promise you wont be disappointed. She picked out the most beautiful chargers and linens and design elements. Everyone at my wedding said it looked like a pintrest wedding. Peggy also hooked me up with a fantastic florist (Monika with Duarte Floral Design) who I highly recommend. Peggy and Monika worked simultaneously together designing hanging structures, center pieces, lanterns.
Even with the stress of Hurricane Irma we pulled through and that weekend was the best weekend of my life. I am so grateful for Peggy and her team - xox Penny :) for making my entire weekend a weekend to remember. I can't believe it's over.

Peggy Russell with her team (Destination Wedding Studio) was my wedding planner for my wedding in Islamorada, FL on 11/18/17. My wedding was a weekend event. It started Friday with a welcome dinner, Saturday church wedding and reception, and Sunday farewell brunch. Peggy and her team helped me coordinate and plan all of these events. We started planning everything in July of 2017 so we only had 5 months to put everything together. I most say that Peggy was amazing throughout the whole process. She helped me find vendors for everything I wanted, she didn't push anyone on me so I felt comfortable following her advice since I felt she had my best interest at heart. She then helped put together the whole timeline for the 3 days and make sure all the little details (and there are a million of them) were all taken care off. She also helped deal with my fiance (now husband) who was being a complete groom-zilla. She knew everyone and every place in the Keys which was super helpful because she was able to ask for favors or give recommendations for everything we needed. At the end I had my fairy tale wedding, I seriously couldn't have asked for a better wedding and a big part of it was all due to Peggy's work. In conclusion, I highly recommend her services, she is super competent, professional and cares so much about her brides. She told me many times that she loves all her brides and her main job is "watching over their heart" and that is completely true since it showed with all her work and dedication.

Let me start by saying I could go on for DAYS and DAYS how much I love Peggy and her team! But I am going to keep this short and sweet. I was one of the weddings that Hurricane Irma decided to destroy...and I only found out 3 weeks before the BIG day...please take note that I was not the ONLY bride that Peggy had to deal with during this time...MANY BRIDES lost their venues. Peggy stood by me and helped me from the first meet and greet (when i totally fell in love with her) all the way until my big day on November 5th, 2017! I am soo happy and fortunate that I chose Peggy and her team to help coordinate my entire dream wedding! It is as simple as this...Peggy is worth her weight in gold, diamonds, platinum...you name it! There is nothing easy about planning a wedding, however when doing it thousands of miles away from the intended venue there can be a few spanners in the works to keep you on your toes. The biggest of these spanners being hurricane Irma. Myself and my now husband, Andy, had always planned to get hitched in the Florida Keys. A slight snag in our planning was that we live in Northern Ireland. This meant finding the perfect wedding planner was always a necessity, and no-one was recommended as highly as Peggy Russell. Her sense of style, vision and simply her personable nature made everything easy and straightforward. From our first conversation Peggy made me feel at ease and I knew we were in a very capable pair of hands. Everything was running smoothly, until 4 weeks prior to the wedding Irma devastated our venue and suddenly we had 50+ people flying from the UK/Ireland with no wedding to attend. Peggy to the rescue! With the help of the staff at our original venue (Hawk's Cay Resort) a new location was found and sussed out by Peggy within days. When it looked like we would have to abandon our wedding in paradise, Peggy was always at the end of a phone or email offering support and reassurance. She turned everything around within 48 hours, having met with the event staff at the new venue (Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne - who I also could not praise enough) and found new vendors. At the outset Peggy promised me my 'dream wedding' and despite everything, she MORE THAN DELIVERED! If you are looking for a wedding planner, then I suggest look no further. Peggy is dynamic, creative, professional and all round fabulous.

I will go ahead and echo everyone who has reviewed Peggy and her team at Destination Wedding Studio, they made our day simply amazing! I am a CONTROL freak, and super anal retentive so I can tell you she is quite adept at dealing with multiple personalities and she has an amazingly calming presence!
Planning a destination wedding can be tough, and Peggy was able to outline every detail prior to for us to make sure all of our i's were dotted and our t's were crossed. She does a majority of the weddings at Hawk's Cay so we felt at ease with how well they knew the staff and the property as well.
I had a general idea of what I wanted, but Peggy was able to reign in all the images I had in my head to create an extremely classy design! She has the vision you need whether you want to retain some or most of the creative control or you would like her to take care of it completely! She was also AMAZING at helping me work within my decorating budget.
We had some very minor issues pop up during the event and they were able to handle them without us even realizing it was happening! On top of that they took care of our family as if they were their own! Can't say enough about Peggy and her husband, such amazing people with the biggest hearts!

Peggy went above and beyond her role as our Day-Of Coordinator. We began weekly phone calls to discuss details and the timeline about 2 months before the big day.
Hurricane Irma hit Key West less than a month before our wedding and for a couple weeks we didn't know if we would be able to pull it off. Peggy was absolutely amazing in calming my nerves, easing my stress, and even found us a Plan B venue just in case.
Luckily we were able to get married in Key West and Peggy totally brought my wedding day vision to life! She is so talented, kind, organized, creative and has the biggest heart. We can't thank Peggy and the Destination Wedding Studio enough for making everything so perfect!

We had the most beautiful wedding. Peggy is very professional, kind and lovely to work with. Peggy took the time to learn our story, which made us feel blessed.
We wanted only the best and the wedding planning and design far exceeded our expectations. Being perfectionists we knew planning our wedding would be a difficult task but Peggy was very accommodating and worked with us down to the finest detail all from the other side of the world. Peggy brought our dream wedding to life and words can’t express how perfect everything was. Peggy gave great advice and everyone who attended was extremely impressed with the result. The organization was impeccable and made our special day so relaxing, it was a dream come true. Peggy and her team made our wedding magical.

There aren't enough words to express my gratitude and happiness for all of the work done by Peggy at Destination Wedding Studio. I referred to her as my "superhero" because that's exactly what she is...she can do it all! I planned my Key West wedding almost solely via the internet as my husband and I live in London. I picked the "lady in waiting" package, which was perfect for me because I liked being as involved as possible but also needed a lot of advice having 1) never done this before! and 2) being so far from Key West, I appreciated having someone be my "boots on the ground". Peggy was always available, whether by email or phone, and somehow was always awake when I needed her! The time difference was no issue and she was always there for a (very) early morning call if I needed to talk something through. She is extremely creative, kind and an amazing sounding board. I imagine at times she felt like my therapist (wedding planning was more hectic than I thought!), but she was always happy to help and extremely reassuring. Peggy also has great relationships with all of the local vendors, so definitely take her advice on who is right for you. When she says "they are the best", they truly are! The day of the wedding was more than a dream come true. It was better than anything my husband and I could've imagined. I definitely think it's worth having Peggy help with decor, especially if you're like me and not 100% sure what you wanted (I only had a basic vision). The decor was absolutely stunning and executed perfectly. All of my guests raved that it was the most amazing wedding they had been to...and I can't thank Peggy and the Destination Wedding Studio team enough for it! Absolutely magical...THANK YOU!

We first met Peggy as a planner for our intimate wedding package at Hawks Cay Resort in November 2016. She was so caring and responsive and planned everything so nicely that we hired her for our "bigger" reception in April 2017 in Hemingway Home.
And I must say Peggy is a true artist, she has exquisite taste and she did the most beautiful and tasteful decorations I've ever seen. My husband is from the hospitality industry himself, so he had very high standards in table settings, but he was so happy with what she did, and our guests were amazed and everyone took pictures of the table and floral arrangements! We both were so pleased working with her, she is almost like an auntie or a close relative that takes such a great care of you and she definitely became someone very meaningful to us throughout the process. She also helped us to pick perfect vendors, we were satisfied with everyone.
Highly recommend Peggy for weddings in Keys, which she is extremely knowledgeable about.

Coming from Maryland I knew that I would need a wedding planner to help with my wedding in the Florida Keys. I am so happy and grateful that I came across Peggy and Destination Wedding Studio! I never had much of a vision for my wedding day, and Peggy did an incredible job of turning my vague ideas into an amazingly beautiful wedding. Despite the fact that I gave her very little direction, my wedding ended up looking like something from Pinterest or a bridal magazine! Not to mention, there was very little stress and effort on my part. I kept wondering what I was doing wrong- shouldn't I be feeling more stress?? Peggy was always accessible to me via phone and email, despite my odd work hours. Peggy took great care of us, and all I had to do on the day of was show up to my wedding on time. No worrying about vendors, flowers, or anything else. Everything went flawlessly and my guests were in awe by the wedding table. I can tell that Peggy treats each wedding as if it were her own family's! Truly my only regret is not getting in touch with her before I spent hours and hours searching for the right venue in Florida. I really cannot say enough about Peggy and would encourage anyone who is planning a wedding in the Florida Keys to use her services.

Her architectural background really makes her special, as she understands the space, has great taste, and a keen eye. From the moment we found our venue to the day of our beautiful wedding, Peggy from Destination Wedding Studio was with us every step of the way. As a bride who didn’t necessarily know all the details that I wanted and also didn’t have a specific “vision” in mind, Peggy was able to make me feel at ease and bring together the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen (I may be biased but our guests thought so too!). Every detail was perfection and meaningful to us as a couple which was something that was very important to us. Our intimate beach reception looked like something straight from a magazine and it was more than I could have ever hoped for.
Every vendor we chose during the process had the same response: “I love working with Peggy” and my husband and I were able to see that the way that everyone came together and worked so seamlessly the day of the wedding. The week before the wedding all vendors were contacted by Peggy with timelines and locations and I did not once have to think about whether someone would be there , who was meeting them or what location they were going to be in. As a bride it was the least stressful experience I could have imagined.
I can not recommend Peggy and the Destination Wedding Studio team highly enough. Their mission statement “we will watch over your heart” could not be truer. I am so thankful I trusted Peggy with our “heart” to bring together the gorgeous beach wedding of our dreams.

We chose Peggy and Destination Wedding Studio because when I called around to talk to wedding planners, Peggy was the only one who immediately started helping me, without the promise that I would be using her. The other recommended wedding planners gave me their prices and would not answer any questions when I was feeling most anxious about my wedding which I was trying to plan in a mere three months. Peggy is very creative and an incredibly flexible. She has great ideas and good suggestions for vendors. I chose the "day of" package but Peggy spent countless hours communicating with me via email and phone calls before the big day (I think she prefers phone calls) . I didn't have to worry about anything on the big day, as Peggy had it all under control and I had developed a trusting relationship with her by that time. My only regret is not inquiring more about her "design package", as I have seen beautiful pictures of the weddings that she has designed (florals, table settings, etc.), and I was really stressing about designing my own florals and table arrangements without any experience! Even though I didn't have her design my wedding, she did help to adjust the flowers as needed for the reception, which was above and beyond! Thank you Peggy!

Peggy Russell and the Destination Wedding Studio team made our wedding day more magical than we ever dreamed. Peggy was amazing from the very first phone call and responded to my inquiry immediately. We were looking to keep our wedding intimate, simple, and within budget. Other than that, I wasn't too concerned with details like the color of the chargers or the exact flower type in my bouquet or style of chair cover we used. I had seen some of Peggy's work online and just by talking to her and hearing about her background in design, I knew she could take my (somewhat vague) vision and make it happen. She asked for some of my wedding inspiration, so I sent her pictures of my dress, screen shots from Pinterest and Etsy - a total of about 8 pictures. From that point, I TRUSTED Peggy to make all design choices. She chose the florist and rental company and worked with them to make my vision happen. When I arrived at the Hemingway Home on my wedding day the setting literally took my breath away. It was perfect. Right down to the last detail. She is a true artist. And allowing Peggy the artistic freedom to make design choices, allowed me to focus on and enjoy my engagement rather than become stressed with small details. I would highly recommend Peggy and the DWS team to anyone looking to get married in the Keys.

I don't even know where to begin. Working with Peggy and the team was such an amazing experience. We were taken through every step with such care and detail making our big day such a stress free event!
You will have a consultation with Peggy to start things off. She has a whole check list of items that you probably didn't think of and makes sure that you get exactly what you want. We selected the day of package which is not just day of and it was perfect for us.
The week before the wedding, Peggy was always able to be reached and was very involved. I felt so taken care of and stress free that I almost felt like I was doing something wrong lol
I would highly recommend this service to any bride coming from out of town. They know every resort and vendor and will make great recommendations for you. We can't thank you guys enough!

I can not say enough good things about Destination Wedding Studios and Peggy. From the first time I spoke with Peggy I knew we were in good hands. She treats you and your wedding as if it is the only one she is planning. I genuinely enjoyed working with Peggy but even just talking with her and getting to know her was wonderful. So much so that when we needed an officiant it seemed like such a logical choice to have Peggy as I really got to know her and I feel she got to know us and it just made our wedding day that more special. It can be stressful planning a wedding and even more so when it is a destination wedding and you can't be there to check out everything for yourself in depth. All the vendors Peggy recommended where amazing and thanks to Peggy we were able to have the perfect wedding that we wanted. Words cannot express how lucky I was to work with Peggy. I read a lot of reviews online and spoke to many different planners on the phone and ultimately decided on Peggy. She was so easy to talk to and I was completely confident that I chose the right person due to her experience and knowledge of the Keys. So many planners that I spoke to seemed to be planning multiple weddings each week and felt like I would just be another wedding in the mix. With Peggy, I never felt as if she was too busy and I always felt like a priority. I hired Peggy for her concierge services which was basically full planning and design. My fiancé and I picked our venue and Peggy helped with everything else. She gave me excellent recommendations for all of my vendors and I was able to do additional research on them and make the ultimate decision. I had an idea of what I wanted my wedding day to look like but Peggy was able to put it all together and make it beautiful. There is no way my wedding would have been half of what it was if she was not my planner. She has a great eye for detail and designed the most elegant beach wedding. Peggy was very easy to get in touch with during the entire planning process. She responded very quickly to emails, texts and set up phone calls when needed. The day of the wedding Peggy was there early and handled everything. I was not stressed at all on the day of the wedding and everything was extremely organized. I absolutely loved working with Peggy and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner. She felt more like a friend/family after working with her for so long and you could really tell that she loves what she does. It was obvious that Peggy cared about us and making us happy with the outcome instead of just doing her job to get a paycheck. We were unbelievably fortunate to happen to find Peggy and her team through an online search... Just the first phone conversation with her was enough to realize we had found the right person for our dream wedding. We had never been to the Keys before and having someone there who knows it in and out that you could trust was godsend... She was like a close family member that was well experienced and honest and straightforward with us through the whole process... Honestly couldn't imagine anyone else could do a better job... She is a tireless and meticulous at her job and was there late at night and early in the morning and was always there when we needed her and stepped out of the spotlight when it was our time...

Destination Wedding Studio was such a life saver and made our wedding day absolutely perfect! My fiance' and myself began planning our wedding solo and quickly found out how overwhelming the entire process can be. Our destination wedding was being held at The Reach Resort over 1500 miles away from where we live so the planning process can be difficult when doing so blindly. We used the Day Of package which was great because we had a solid few months prior to the wedding where Peggy stepped in, listened to our vision and handled every single detail for us up to and during our entire wedding day. We were so impressed with her attention to detail and to our tastes that we used her team to handle decor as well.
The wedding planning process can be daunting which I feared would leave me a ball of stress for my actual wedding day. Peggy changed that expectation entirely. I did not have to handle a single thing as she already had all communication, planning and details handled. She managed every step of the process and when I started to worry about something going wrong, she anticipated it and prevented any sort of issue from arising. She was the one that made our day nothing less than amazing and we truly appreciate all of the time and effort she put into making our day, genuinely magical.

My wedding venue, Southernmost House, requires a wedding planner as part of the contract. I selected Destination Wedding Studio mainly for economic reasons. That being said I am very happy that Peggy and her team were watching over my wedding.
Peggy worked within my budget to make my wedding and reception an elegant and beautiful event. The team went above and beyond to handle last minute issues i.e. guest registry, tailoring mishaps, crazy bride :)

Peggy and the Destination Wedding Studio was the best $ spent on our wedding. I was a bride that had an idea of what I wanted but needed some help bringing it all together and Peggy did just that. She thought of details I never would have come up with on my own and kept things perfectly organized for a flawless event day of. I was married at the Casa Marina and had planned for an all outdoor reception but the weather that day was questionable and I was left with the stressful decision to move the reception indoors or take the chance of getting rained on. One of my biggest concerns about moving indoors was that I had not ordered chivari chairs, as I liked the white wood ones that were going to be outdoors and I had a minor meltdown to say the least. However, Peggy was there for all the emotional support I needed and on top of everything she worked with the Casa Marina and surprised me and brought in the chivari chairs the day of! I was brought to tears again, this time of happiness, when she walked me over to the ballroom and showed me the most beautiful room I had ever seen! The wedding turned out better than I could have ever imagined and I truly have her and her generosity to thank for that. If you want to ensure a flawless wedding and not have to worry if things don't go according to the original plan day of, Peggy is your lady! She is kind and organized, and like her website says she truly watches over your heart. You won't be just another event if you choose Peggy and the Destination Wedding Studio!

Peggy and her team were awesome! I hired them just 2 months before our wedding and did their "day of" package since I had most of my vendors already booked by then. I thought I had all my planning under control and that I could do it myself without a planner but I was SO wrong. I wish I had hired them from the beginning of my planning process to help me especially since our wedding was a destination wedding and out of state. I honestly think it would have been impossible to pull off the wedding without them. Everything went perfect, they took care of everything and I would have been totally lost without them.

I would like to start by saying THANK YOU to the woman who made our day so magical & fantastic that all I had to do was show up & say "I do"!!!! I started this process a year ago & found Peggy from weddingwire alone! I was a little apprehensive but saw that she got such great reviews so I had to reach out & contact her.
We signed our contract & I found out that my type A personality was very aggressive & demanding & her very passive & creative personality was not the easiest combination for me being so far way in London & trying to put together a very very very personalised & thoughtful wedding & reception for our guests that I had to stop, take a breath & take a step back & trust that it would turn out just as I had wanted & guess what........... IT DID!!!!
Peggy came through with every detail & on point in every way! I literally did not do anything but enjoy my wedding day as every bride should! I even asked her to add things on the day & she showed up at our B&B that morning with all my requests ready & waiting. She went above & beyond & took on all the stress in planning that I can't sing her praises loud enough!
I had a VERY SPECIFIC vision & personally put together 80% of all the details & she was able to grasp that vision & enhance it & make it PERFECT!!!! I wish I had used her to plan my welcome reception as that was the only thing that went horribly wrong but I'm totally beside myself that our wedding day couldn't have been any smoother, easier or more fun than it did with Peggy at the wheel!
I had a lot of details that I wanted both at the ceremony & then moved to the reception. I had photos that needed to be in certain places. I had party favors that were so specific & needed to be in a certain order, I had decor & chairs that had to be a certain way, I had fans & glasses that I wanted put in specific places.... I could go on & on about how much I drove her bonkers with my vision but want to hug her for being so phenomenal! Thank you!!

I can not say enough about Peggy. She was so helpful and took care of everything with a calm demeanor, which allowed me to take a deep breath and enjoy the weekend! I was told by several family members and friends that planning a wedding for seven hours away isn't always the easiest of things to do - it was both easy and enjoyable with Peggy by my side!! Thanks Peggy, for turning our dream wedding into reality!!!

Peggy Russell was awesome. She helped us plan our beach wedding in Key West and everything turned out perfect. Peggy helped us organize all the details from reserving the location to having a glam squad come to our room. She even performed the ceremony with the most touching words. Peggy was absolutely wonderful. I live in Vermont, so planned my middle Keys wedding from afar. Peggy was a trusted source for recommendations on vendors (florist, photography, cake, music etc), many of whom I wasn't able to meet before the big day. Her design sense was also exceptional. From our conversations, Peggy was able to get a sense of what I liked and how I wanted the day to feel, and executed it beyond anything I could have imagined. She consulted me along the way, and was very responsive to what I liked or disliked. She delivered a stunningly beautiful wedding that gave my guests the exact experience I hoped for. Artist and playful, with some traditional/elegant touches while also honoring the 'tropical' locale. It was romantic and so beautiful. Peggy handled all the details, which allowed me, my family and all my guests to enjoy the day and the wider wedding planning process.

One word for Peggy Russell and Destination Wedding Studio: AMAZING. She made our wedding experience at the Casa Marina unforgettable and did it with so much ease. She is a master at her craft and was a total pleasure to work with! Although we planned a relatively small wedding (20+) guests, she provided an incredible level of detail, attention, and patience. She was always easy to communicate with and was very responsive to our requests. We are forever grateful. We would highly recommend her as an event planner in this area. Very satisfied.

Peggy Russell was an absolute joy to work with. I spent over the better part of a year with correspondence through e mail and phone conversations(which is unusual now days). She is so professional and weddings are her craft. We had a small wedding, but she made our family feel so important and was so attentive. She answered all of my many, many questions promptly without fail. She went over and above to make sure we had a beautifully decorated reception and even added some of her own pieces. I highly recommend her for your wedding needs...rest assured things will run smoothly ...all we had to do was show up!

I used Peggy for a day of wedding planner but it was actually more like a month of! Peggy met with me several times and we had many phone and email conversations. Peggy was laid back and gave me confidence that she knew exactly what I wanted! She had many great ideas but was also completely willing to do whatever we wanted. Because of her attention to detail, I knew that on the day of our wedding I would not have to worry about a thing - and I didn't! I had my hair & make up done, took pictures, etc. and didn't look at my phone once. We came out for the ceremony/reception and everything was set up perfectly - exactly how we had talked about! Peggy's husband was great as well and assisted with much of the set up/break down. After the wedding, everything was taken care of including returning all our items to our parents rooms. I would HIGHLY recommend Peggy to anyone. She was so easy to work with and helped make our dream wedding come true. It was more beautiful then we could have imagined and everything went perfectly!!

Peggy and her team were great! They took all my bride-on-a-budget ideas and helped me create an absolutely gorgeous ceremony and reception. I had so many friends tell me it looked like something out of a movie! I was so delighted when I arrived and saw all my ideas and planning unfolded EXACTLY as I had imagined! For the day of event, Peggy's awesome team Penney and Chuck were onsite to make sure everything flowed properly....they were both so friendly and accommodating! I was beyond happy with destination wedding studio and would highly recommend them ( especially if you are On a budget and need some help with creating a wedding that 'looks' like you spent a zillion dollars...Peggy had such great and affordable ideas!)

I cannot sing Peggy's praises loudly enough; she put me at ease from day 1 & carried us through the frenetic planning process with grace & a smile. My husband Matt & I work long hours in New York, so we needed a planner if we were to pull off a halfway decent wedding in Key West. I reached out to all the area planners; Peggy was the first to respond and the only one to call me directly. I loved her instantly, she wholly grasped my vision and was eager to help from the start. I veer toward the Type A side of the personality spectrum as is; planning a destination wedding propelled me into anxiety overdrive. Peggy was patient & reassuring throughout, meanwhile she orchestrated vendor introductions, helped to hammer out contracts, suggested creative approaches when I was beside myself after running out of ideas, hounded the radio silent on our behalf, and generally kept the entire process (and me) in check. Matt & I went down to Key West in October to meet with our vendors; Peggy coordinated our visits, drove us all over town and spent hours just getting to know us. We arrived home feeling confident & relatively worry-free; under Peggy's ever-mindful guidance, I rode that unexpected wave of calm all the way back to Key West for the big to-do. Peggy was beyond accommodating as our wedding approached. She & her saintly husband Chuck picked up the waters & oranges for our welcome bags. When I opened the box of 2 dozen picture frames I had shipped directly to Key West and found 2 dozen packages of Silly Putty, Peggy miraculously produced even better frames in which she arranged all our family photos. We rented a margarita machine; when our caterer refused to work it (insurance reasons), Chuck stepped in & served frozen drinks at our reception. Our wedding was beautiful & seamless. We received so many superlative compliments. I suspect Peggy is superhuman: energetic, resourceful, thoughtful, gracious, professional. We are forever grateful to Destination Wedding Studio!!

Destination Wedding Studio was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding day. Planning a wedding from a far can be very nerve racking, but knowing you have someone to count on takes all the stress away. My husband and I wanted a romantic intimate beach wedding with toes in the sand the entire time! And that is exactly what we had. Peggy understood our vision down to every detail. She even went beyond to make small details stand out even more. When we walked in to the reception we were beyond taken back by how truly magical it looked and most important how it felt. The creativeness and again detail that Peggy and I had spoke of came to life!!!! I cant express how much working with her meant to us. After all said and done I miss chatting and emailing with Peggy, it felt like she became part of the family! She loves what she does and it sure does show. We were planning the wedding from overseas and as I am a bit high-strung we knew we needed a wedding planner. We researched many of the planners for the Keys and contacted a few via phone/email to vet them. It was my husband who first spoke with Peggy and right away he was confident she was the right planner for us. I was skeptic as he was very budget conscious so I thought he was voting for her because her rates were more reasonable. As soon as we spoke with her together I felt at ease and knew she was the best planner for us. We selected her “Lady in Waiting Package” about 10 months before our date. She assisted us with selecting vendors, provided checklists and questionnaires that guided our decisions and kept us on track. She is the most responsive person I have ever had the pleasure to work with, seriously, I was always amazed that despite the international time zone differences there was hardly ever a delay in response from her! We were fortunate that our planning visit to the area coincided with a wedding show during which we got to meet with Peggy as well as other vendors. Peggy took excellent care of us throughout the entire process. I wanted a destination wedding that included a lot of personal touches and details. Peggy not only understood this but respected and embraced it and used her creative talents to bring my vision to life. She respected I was working with a limited décor budget and came up with solutions even more beautiful than I could have dreamed. The day of was stress-free for me as the Bride as well as my family and wedding party because Peggy and her team had provided detailed timelines and had the set-up and vendor coordination all under control. Throughout the reception she kept things flowing as we had requested and made sure our guests were signing our guestbook. After the reception her team packed up everything and delivered it to our room. Our day was better than we could have dreamed! Thank you Peggy!

Peggy from DWS helped me not only create a vision for my wedding day, but an EXPERIENCE that my guests were able to share with my now husband and I. She not only helped me put together an amazing professional look to the wedding events - guests thought my wedding was >$100k! - but, more importantly, Peggy helped add more meaning and thoughtfulness to the entire event. To give an example, I wanted a Japanese theme for the ceremony because Japan was a favorite place we’d traveled. But when I talked with Peggy, she asked "but what did Japan and your travel TOGETHER mean?" After taking time to thoroughly talk this out, Peggy helped me incorporate a very meaningful symbol in our lives, the lotus flower. Instead of focusing on a "Japanese theme", I was focusing on explaining the symbolic meaning of the lotus flower in our relationship. Every detail was covered, from gifting my bridesmaids Lotus Flower necklaces, to having Rob's sister read "the meaning of the lotus flower" during the ceremony, displaying lotus flowers in our flower arrangements, to including it on our ceremony programs. By the end of the wedding, all our guests understood how meaningful the lotus flower was to us, and I believe, anytime our guests sees a lotus flower, they will remember sharing our special day. I believe this aspect of wedding planning is probably the most important, but overlooked aspect, in creating a truly special event. I can't thank Peggy enough for being willing to get more involved than the superficial planning of details and brave enough to challenge my vision. I'm sure there are plenty of planners out there with a good eye for decor, but how many would put in so much time to add real meaning for each individual couple. Peggy truly does care about her couples and their experience, and I cannot thank her enough for her creativity, thoughtfulness, attention to small details, and genuine good heart! THANK YOU so much Peggy! We love you!

Peggy was an outstanding wedding planner. Being a destination wedding, it was difficult to envision how our venue would look on the day of our wedding. Peggy understood our concerns and worked hard to calm our worries. Words cannot even begin to describe how great my wedding was. Peggy was so detail oriented and it really showed at the reception. She received so many compliments from my guests, everyone was stunned and shocked over the details. Peggy was VERY accommodating and available throughout the planning process, there were numerous phone calls back and fourth to plan. She even offered to meet me when she visited family close to where I lived. She was able to set up a mock table at a near by Pier 1 Imports so I could get a good feeling for how it would look. She really helped me add our own personal story throughout the wedding which was truly special! The wedding was very personal and both the groom and I were able to tell our story of how we met and our journey at the wedding. The entire process was seamless and I honestly could not be more happy with the way things turned out!! Thank you so much Peggy!!!!

Peggy was absolutely fabulous! Our daughter was married in Key West over the summer. The problems that we faced were that the bride was in London, the groom was a German living in Birmingham, UK, and we (mother and father of the bride) were in Texas. So.....this was definitely a real destination wedding with folks coming from different continents.
Peggy and I went over wedding details by telephone and email. She walked us through so many details and brought our attention to item that we hadn't even thought of. Our daughter and future husband a well as her future in laws and friends of the groom came in from Germany and stayed in Key Largo the week before the wedding. Peggy met us in Key Largo and we went over all of the last minute details and she made us feel relaxed. Peggy was on site by 11 am on the day of the wedding and oversaw and helped with the cocktail and dinner set up at the hotel. She also helped corral our guests onto the trolley to and from the church.
We loved Peggy and her calm personality and it not only helped but actually took all of our jitters away. I recommend anyone thinking of using Peggy - Destination Wedding Studio - to definitely use her.

Peggy is an absolutely amazing wedding planner. My husband Ben and I live in Chicago so it was importan that we had someone in Florida to manage every detail of our wedding. She did a wonderful job of making sure that all of our worries and concerns were taken care of at Hawk's Cay Resort when we could not be there to take care of things ourselves. We highly recommend Peggy as she went above and beyond to calm our nerves and make our wedding a beautiful success. We were very demanding as far as some of the specific things we wanted to incorporate into our wedding and she happily took care of everything while remaining amazingly patients. Also, she has a great eye for decorating and all of the advice she gave us was spot on for colors, arranging tables, etc. We are so thankful that Peggy was our wedding planner and are so grateful !

I worked with Peggy @ Destination Wedding Studios for our July 2014 Wedding in the FL Keys. She was fantastic to work with, very outgoing, friendly and organized. She did the wedding planning and worked with all the local vendors - absolutely no problems and everything turned out so beautiful. Peggy also officiated the ceremony - she allowed me to put together my own ceremony (because i have experience with them and it was very important to me) and did a great job! The day of the wedding we did walk through of the ceremony, she went out of her way to make sure the bridal party knew what they were doing and stayed afterwards for a few to watch pictures and say hi to our guests. Working with Destination Studios was a great experience for me and I would recommend them to anyone doing a destination wedding in FL.

We live in the UK and the level of service we were given was amazing. Nothing we asked was too big or too small and communication was great.
