The best investment on our wedding day!
Working with Olivia for our wedding was truly the best investment. If you are looking for trusted month-of-coordination services, you need to work with Dear My Event.
Olivia handled everything from creating and managing our wedding timeline, executing seamless communication with our venue and vendors, conducting our rehearsal, and so much more. Her and her assistant also set up so much of our reception decor on the day of— from our welcome table, to the guest tables, and even our seating chart. They even bustled my dress in between our ceremony and reception!
We are so thankful to Olivia for her extreme attention to detail and running everything so smoothly behind the scenes. Your wedding day will be in excellent hands with Dear My Event! -

From our very first call, Olivia at DearMyEvent was a total dream. She’s the definition of organized, efficient, and endlessly resourceful. She had answers for every single question I threw at her (and there were a lot!). Planning a wedding at a NYC restaurant with tons of limitations is no small feat, and Olivia navigated every rule, timeline, and vendor with grace and total clarity. I felt calm and taken care of, even in the craziest moments.
My vision was a little… untraditional. I was inspired by chic brand events, not typical weddings, so I knew the vibe but not the “how.” Olivia guided me so thoughtfully, suggesting options that honored my aesthetic while making everything practical and guest-friendly. She helped translate my Pinterest-board dreams into a real, cohesive experience that felt elevated, intentional, and so “us.”
Our day was extra unique: after the ceremony, a saxophonist led our guests through the city to Jane’s Carousel for a second celebration. That meant two venues, two vibes, and a moving parade of guests on the windiest and coldest day! Olivia and her team handled it all: setting up at both locations, coordinating vendors, keeping the timeline tight, and somehow keeping me warm, calm, and smiling the whole time. She anticipated hiccups before they existed and made everything look effortless.
Something that meant so much to us: Olivia was the only Korean American planner we spoke to, and her presence brought an extra layer of comfort and understanding for my husband and his family, who only speak Korean. Her cultural intuition, warmth, and clear communication made everyone feel included and at ease. There was no confusion, just joy.
Olivia didn’t just make my dreams come true; she exceeded them in ways I couldn’t have imagined. We absolutely loved working with Olivia as our month-of wedding coordinator, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.
From our very first inquiry call, we immediately clicked—her warmth, professionalism, and deep knowledge of our venue made us feel confident from the start. Throughout the planning process, she was incredibly responsive, always ready to answer questions, offering helpful suggestions for the timeline, and vendor recommendations thanks to her experience.
When the month-of timeline kicked in, Olivia truly shined. She made sure we were fully prepared without ever feeling overwhelmed, handling vendor communication seamlessly and clearly outlining anything she needed from us to ensure everything ran smoothly. Her organization and attention to detail gave us such peace of mind.
During the rehearsal and on the wedding day itself, despite the usual chaos of coordinating families, wedding party members, and vendors, she remained calm and wonderfully supportive. She taught us how to dip for our ceremony, fixed our groomsmen’s boutonnieres, and thoughtfully helped arrange our décor in ways that made everything look even better than we imagined. What I also personally loved was how Olivia and her partner took extra Polaroid photos at our reception to fill the extra pages in our Polaroid guestbook!
Olivia played such an important role not just in the logistics, but in helping us truly enjoy the entire experience. We’re so grateful for her dedication, kindness, and skill—our day wouldn’t have been the same without her! -

We went for the partial planning option as we already had picked out our venue/included catering.
Olivia helped us find vendors (photographer, DJ, secondary catering, photobooth) within our budget and was great at looping us into the vendor conversations whenever we needed to make a decision.
Since the two of us were pretty new to weddings, considerations like a flat lay, welcome table, how to arrange our tables, are all things we came to learn about during our discussions with Olivia.
We didn't really know what "day of"/"month of" coordination would entail, but it became very apparent during the event that we would not have been able to pull off the wedding with just the two of us. Olivia ran us through rehearsal, and created the whole wedding timeline beforehand for us to review. The wedding timeline was especially helpful because we knew when we could go and have fun with our guests, and when we had to cut cake, take photos, etc.
The day of coordination is definitely a must have, there are constantly things going on during setup and it would have been a huge headache to manage all of the vendors. I didn't have to look at the timeline at all during the wedding, we were told a little bit ahead of time what we needed to do which was incredibly helpful and relieving. Olivia and her team were great at working in the background, ensuring the venue looked beautiful as well as the welcome table and signage.
Overall we're very happy about the service we received and would highly recommend anyone looking to get married in NOVA to contact Dear My Event for their wedding planning services! -

Working with Olivia was the best decision we made for our wedding. In addition to being more affordable than other vendors, she brought a calm and knowing air to every one of our meetings. We weren't certain we knew what we wanted at first and she helped us tailor our vision by meeting us where we were, being flexible when we inevitably changed our minds, and never made us feel rushed. She walked us through questions we never would have thought to ask, and towards the end of our experience she asked us to place our faith in her and trust her to make our day magical - and she went above and beyond (even convincing our ice cream truck vendor to let us serve ice cream ourselves!). At the end of the night, Olivia packed up all of our items and made picking it up the next morning effortless. We truly cannot say enough about Dear My Event and all Olivia did for us. Apologies for this long overdue review - this past year has been rough for our family. We had only one month to plan a last-minute wedding, and we are grateful to Olivia, our incredible wedding planner, and Stella, our talented florist for their patience, kindness, and dedication throughout the entire experience.
Olivia worked miracles, finding a beautiful boutique venue and the perfect vendors within our budget on such short notice. Stella, our florist, brought such attention to detail in the floral arrangements - each bouquet felt personal, thoughtfully crafted, and exactly in line with our vision. Together, they made what felt impossible, a reality.
What made our wedding even more meaningful was that my mother-in-law, who was battling breast cancer, was able to see us get married before she passed. Olivia and Stella have been so amazing with designing and planning the wedding! They are responsive, professional and easy to work with! It was an amazing experience and took a lot of the stress. The whole process was seamless and Olivia and Stella thought about everything and made it easy. During the wedding day, everything went so well and Olivia and Stella handled everything which made it go perfectly. Of course, every wedding will go off the plan and have some problems but the team was able to handle them and were super helpful! Olivia and Stella helped with clean up and found a lot of lost items from the guests and collected all the Knick knacks that were laying around.

Working with Olivia and Stella was an absolute dream. They had the challenge of planning with me for over a year and a half—and as someone who’s super particular and determined to throw the biggest, most fun party of our lives, that’s no small feat! But they truly made all my wedding dreams come true.
Olivia was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful—especially as a bride planning in NYC, I really appreciated her guidance in finding vendors that were both affordable and aligned with my style and vision. She even leveraged her connections to track down specific rentals for me—like a circular pedestal for our ceremony, which I couldn’t find anywhere in the DMV area. Olivia made it happen.
Even though she hadn’t worked at my venue before, she went the extra mile to learn the space, including doing a site visit months in advance. My venue had a lot of challenges—staff turnover, disorganization—but Olivia handled everything with grace, precision, and thoroughness. Her presence was incredibly reassuring throughout the planning process, and on the wedding day itself (which involved many moving parts and vendors), everything ran smoothly thanks to her. As a Type A personality, I debated whether I really needed a planner, but hiring Olivia was 100% worth it. She offered clear pros and cons for every decision, which made the entire experience far less overwhelming. A review from the groom on the wedding day was "wow Olivia really knows her stuff!" :D
Stella from Mellow Flower was just as amazing. We shared a similar aesthetic, and she instantly understood my vision. She went above and beyond—texting me creative ideas, adding custom sticker logos to our petal cones, and meticulously reviewing my design PowerPoint and Pinterest boards to ensure every detail matched what I had imagined. Like Olivia, she was super responsive and always transparent about options, which made decision-making so much easier. I completely trusted her to bring my vision to life—and she did just that.
In the end, I truly cannot imagine having gone through this process without Olivia and Stella by my side. Their dedication, creativity, professionalism, and calming presence turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into something joyful and seamless. If you’re on the fence about hiring a planner or florist/designer—especially if you're particular like me—take this as your sign. These two are the best of the best, and I’ll be forever grateful for everything they did to make our day so special. -

The title says it all. Olivia had every based covered for our wedding event at Sweeny Barn including her PIC, Stella who was our florist. The professionalism and and experience was blatantly obvious with Olivia. She was in the front with all our vendors making sure we were being taken care of and not being overwhelmed with our decision making. You would not believe how many times she had to say "You dont need to go with this vendor because of XYZ reason, we can always find another vendor that does it the way you want." There was literally no pressure. Any questions we had she either knew the answer, or found out the answers within minutes of asking. She also asked us questions and scenarios we didnt think of as a contingency plan in order to make sure there were no rough edges on our special day. Again, covering all bases ahead of time. She had the know how of how to save money in certain categories while telling us bluntly that we need to spend more money here. Which we really appreciated. Communication lines were always open prior, during and even after the wedding. Rehearsals covered all the necessary steps to ensure a smooth wedding. The day of the wedding Olivia and Stella were on top of making sure all the vendors were present and active. Making sure everything was set up the way we wanted and then some. Our florist, Stella made sure the flowers picked match the colors we wanted and complimented our venue perfectly. During the wedding Olivia and florist turned assistant, Stella were EVERYWHERE. No matter where we looked, the tag team were in eye sight being active to make sure the game plan was being followed. One can argue, "I can find a cheaper wedding planner and florist" Yes, you absolutely can, but will you get the value of your cost out of the cheaper planners. With Olivia, I can 100% confidently say that we received the VALUE of our cost and more so. For anyone reading this review, you can skimp out on other cost but dont skimp out on Olivia. She will SAVE you the cost of using her while ensuring a awesome wedding.
To Olivia and Stella, my wife and I will like to thank you both in this review for an amazing wedding experience. Looking back a few months ago planning a wedding seemed like a far-fetched with an overwhelming amount of stress and arguments but having you two in our corner made our wedding day that much more amazing. Stella was an excellent florist for our wedding. She was warm, welcoming, and very receptive to feedback throughout the planning process. She listened to our vision and worked with us to create airy, whimsical, and romantic bouquets and centerpieces that matched what we had in mind.
She decorated both the church and reception venue and was flexible in brainstorming ideas to bring everything together within our budget. A thoughtful touch was her use of leave-behind centerpiece vases, which allowed guests to take home the arrangements at the end of the night—something they really appreciated.

I can’t recommend Olivia and Stella of Dear My Event highly enough! As a busy physician, I’m used to coordinating and keeping track of numerous details in my professional life, but planning my wedding was a whole different ballgame. I recognized early on (approximately a year before I wanted to have my wedding) that I needed help, and I had seen how they flawlessly coordinated a wedding for another physician that I know. Dear My Event absolutely came through in every way possible.
From our very first meeting, Olivia had my vote of confidence. It was clear to me that she is highly experienced and has a deep understanding of the wedding space. One of my biggest challenges — and what I found most daunting — was finding the right vendors who not only fit our vision but also aligned with our budget. Thankfully, Olivia provided numerous recommendations, and I’m thrilled to say that every single one was absolutely fantastic. What stood out most was Olivia’s exceptional communication throughout the entire planning process. We held several meetings, both virtual and in-person, where she patiently listened to our ideas and concerns. She made sure were were involved and informed every step of the way, providing updates and answering any questions we had. This open line of communication helped me to feel supported as we navigated the complexities of planning the wedding. I also had a lot of scattered ideas and some wedding trends I wanted to incorporate into our special day, but I didn’t know how to make it all come together. Olivia took the reins and expertly managed the intricate logistics of our day, including our beautiful Chinese tea ceremony and a complex venue flip that required impeccable timing and precision. I felt completely at ease knowing she was handling all the details, allowing me to focus on enjoying every moment. I’m sure there were many challenges that arose behind the scenes that she shielded me from, which I truly appreciated.
In addition, the floral arrangements created by Stella were nothing short of drop-dead gorgeous. They added a breathtaking touch to the entire event, perfectly complementing our theme and color palette. Every bouquet, centerpiece, and decorative element was meticulously crafted, and I received countless compliments from our guests! Stella took my inspiration photos and truly brought them to life. I often waffled back and forth about what I wanted, but she transformed my disparate ideas into a cohesive vision that was absolutely stunning. I put my full faith in her artistry, and I’m so glad that I did.

I honestly don’t know where to start with this review because I have so much to say about Olivia and Stella. They were phenomenal from the moment we reached out with our inquiry until the very last moment of our special day. Olivia and Stella were such a joy to work with and I always looked forward to our meetings. They always brought smiles and laughter during the planning process and I know planning this day would’ve been so much more stressful without them.
Olivia was super responsive and answered all of my questions promptly, easing a lot of my anxiety. She is so impressive, professional, and talented. She made us feel comfortable and secure about this whole process. Our wedding day flowed seamlessly, which allowed us to enjoy everything without worries. Even our whole wedding party mentioned how great she was and how much they loved her. She is so good at what she does!
Just by looking at Stella’s portfolio, I knew we were in good hands for the florals and design aspect of our wedding. We had basically left it all to her and she really delivered. Her work was absolutely stunning and I loved every single detail she put into our big day. All of the bouquets, boutonnières, center pieces, flower box welcome sign, etc were all so so so beautiful! Best wedding planner & florist we could ever ask for!
If you're reading this, you've wisely started the first part of your wedding planning by looking at Dear My Event page! And the second part you need to do is hire Olivia as your wedding planner and Stella as your florist, and you won’t regret your decision to do so! We wanted to have our wedding in Virginia, but we’re from Boston and were looking for vendors based in VA. We stumbled upon DME on instagram and immediately knew we wanted to work with them. From our first meeting with Olivia, she understood our unique circumstances and made us feel at ease despite the distance. Her local expertise truly bridged the gap, making us feel connected and involved throughout the wedding planning. It was clear that Olivia had a ton of experience in planning weddings and really knew the ins and outs of weddings!
Olivia and Stella were able to take our visions and turn them into a reality. During the full service planning, they were easily accessible, and always able to help and suggest ideas when needed. Olivia was incredibly helpful and prepared a detailed day-of timeline, organized our rehearsal, entire ceremony, and reception, making sure everything looked perfect, and also guided our guests to the appropriate areas.
They also surprised us and our guests with beautiful decors around our welcome table!
On our wedding day, we had absolutely nothing to worry about- Olivia took care of grand timeline and all the little details. Our program got delayed a little bit, but Olivia quickly came up with an alternative plan and managed to still run all the programs within our time so that the guests and our photographer/videographer can capture all of our moments. We felt completely secure and relaxed during the entire wedding. They successfully delivered our vision into something more than the best we could ever imagine! Working with the DME team (Olivia and Stella) was one of the best decisions we made as we prepared for our wedding. Both took time with us MONTHS before the wedding to helped us concretize our ideas on how we envision our wedding to be, and kept us stress-free during the process.
Olivia’s service especially shined the month before the wedding, leading to the day of. She took over the entire administrative work, coordinating with us, the DJ, photographer, videographer, HMU artist, and the venue to make sure that we are aligned and that we all adhere to the same schedule on the wedding day. On the wedding day, Olivia thoroughly orchestrated from ceremony and reception from start to finish, making sure that everything goes seamlessly. Thanks to her, all we had to do was enjoy and have fun with friends and family.
As for the floral/decor service- Stella has such an artistic taste in colors and flowers. She did an amazing job with decorating our ceremony and reception using different color schemes while still keeping dusty blue as the main color. The flowers on the ceremony arch, bouquet, boutonnieres, and the decors on the sweetheart and the guest tables came out super beautifully and we received so many compliments! -

Great Experience with Olivia and Stella
We worked with both Olivia and Stella for our wedding day.
For Olivia, the month of coordination service leading up to the day was great, communication was prompt and if we had any questions she would answer them. On the day of, her service shined, she was very organized and assisted everybody in adhering to the timeline set and the vendor coordination, which allowed us to enjoy the day.
Stella provided floral service and the welcome table, I think we were surprised by how well done it was/how well it fit what we wanted and we did receive compliments about the floral bouquets and table arrangements. -

Amazing experience
I worked with both Olivia (for month-of planning) and Stella (for florals and some decor) and they were both wonderful!! Olivia provides so much help and really took the stress out of the weeks leading up to our wedding. She was available for any questions I had at any point and handled the day of the wedding perfectly. I was also really appreciative of how she communicated with our parents to ease their concerns. She even brought her own card box when we accidentally trashed ours a few days before the wedding. Stella is truly the sweetest person. From the beginning she worked with me to fit things in my budget and her designs came out truly stunning. She added more flowers to my bouquet and centerpieces than I asked for and was there until the very end of the night making sure everything was great. My wife and I had a great experience working with Olivia to plan our wedding. We come from very different cultural backgrounds, and Olivia was very receptive to these differences when helping us plan our big day. Both of us have very specific tastes and strong personalities, and Olivia was able to take our ideas and work with us to find the exact items we needed for the ceremony and reception.
She was especially great on the wedding day when my wife and I had very little control over the festivities. She and her team organized everyone and kept everything on schedule, and showed great poise despite the day being very stressful at times.

Wonderful Design and Amazing Service
Working with Dear My Event was probably the best thing I did for my wedding back on 9/2/23. I worked with Stella, who did the floral design and decor for my wedding. Stella was great from the beginning- she was flexible and honest about pricing. She asked me for my wedding colors, the kind of design/vibe I wanted (modern, romantic, elegant, etc), and my wedding dress, to come with the design for my wedding. She even asked if I had a favorite (or least favorite) flower to try to incorporate into the design, if it was in season. With all that info, she came up with the most beautiful design for my bouquet, sweetheart table, arch, aisle flower, centerpieces, and flower for our parents. What she did was more beautiful that I had envisioned in my head or pinned on my Pinterest. Not only her design, but her professionalism and kindness were superb. She was very reliable. She kept in touch throughout my wedding planning journey to stay on top of the changes/updates. She gave great general recommendations with organization/decor, such as seating size per table and placement of the tables. I was planning and preparing for my wedding all by myself and was facing some difficulties but then I got to know Olivia. I didn't know there was a "day of coordinator" who can help me on the wedding day. Olivia is very professional; she knew what she was doing. She helped me going to the right direction when I couldn't make decisions, she followed up with all my vendors so that the bride doesn't have to take care of things on the wedding day. Amazing experience!
Olivia and her team were excellent and professional throughout my entire experience with them. I am a very busy resident and straight up told Olivia and Stella that I would need their help with almost all aspects of design and florals for the wedding. DearMyEvent was the ONLY thing I didn't worry about
I've worked with DearMyEvent on my sister's wedding last year and I fell in love with their authentic style and use of color. I worked with them this year for my wedding again! I have chosen my theme color as terracotta and they have provided me with their plan on the type of flower that will be used, the color, and the style, and worked great with the pricing. I selected two different styles for my bouquet and after seeing my dress, they recommended the one that will go well with the dress, which luckily was my first choice as well. Near the wedding date, I ended up having 20 more people at my wedding. DearMyEvent stayed in touch with me (extremely fast replies to my emails). As I was just so exhausted, I was putting too many people on one table and they were so polite and sincere in recommending me a good size of people by table size. You can definitely tell how professional and experienced they are from that. On the day of the wedding, I didn't even know what to expect from the decor because I relied on them 200% and it was just beautiful! The arch, bouquet, welcome table, centerpiece, and sweetheart table are just their expertise. They asked me after the ceremony if I wanted to move my arch to the reception because it was so pretty and a waste to go for a few hours and that turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. I am so grateful to work with them and I recommend 200%+ -

We hired DME as day of coordinators and Olivia and her team completely blew us out of the water with their professionalism, coordination, responsiveness and flexibility. We had a lot of moving parts and anything I asked to be coordinated such as confetti cannons for a surprise birthday song for my husband, faking a sparkler exit, changing my dress, making sure I stay hydrated, multiple signage, etc. they made it happen seamlessly. My husband and I were able to eat every course of our dinner during reception and we did not have to worry about a thing. Hiring a day of coordinator was hands down was the best thing we did for our wedding and we can't thank Olivia and her amazing team enough! -
