Amazing experience
I worked with both Olivia (for month-of planning) and Stella (for florals and some decor) and they were both wonderful!! Olivia provides so much help and really took the stress out of the weeks leading up to our wedding. She was available for any questions I had at any point and handled the day of the wedding perfectly. I was also really appreciative of how she communicated with our parents to ease their concerns. She even brought her own card box when we accidentally trashed ours a few days before the wedding. Stella is truly the sweetest person. From the beginning she worked with me to fit things in my budget and her designs came out truly stunning. She added more flowers to my bouquet and centerpieces than I asked for and was there until the very end of the night making sure everything was great. Definitely recommend both Olivia and Stella for your wedding (or birthday or baby shower or any event)! -

Exceptional Wedding Planner in VA!!
My husband and I had the privilege of working with Olivia who was our wedding planner/day-of-coordinator. She was an absolute game-changer! From the first meeting to our wedding day, she demonstrated top-notch professionalism and genuine passion as a planner. Olivia truly made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. She effortlessly guided us through expert advice, recommended vendors, coordinated with vendors, and answered all our questions in a timely manner. She listened to our vision attentively and turned our dreams into a breathtaking reality. Also, Olivia’s assistant, Susie, did an amazing job working with Olivia on our wedding day. They both made sure that everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to focus on celebrating with our loved ones. Their expertise was invaluable. Wonderful Design and Amazing Service
Working with Dear My Event was probably the best thing I did for my wedding back on 9/2/23. I worked with Stella, who did the floral design and decor for my wedding. Stella was great from the beginning- she was flexible and honest about pricing. She asked me for my wedding colors, the kind of design/vibe I wanted (modern, romantic, elegant, etc), and my wedding dress, to come with the design for my wedding. She even asked if I had a favorite (or least favorite) flower to try to incorporate into the design, if it was in season. With all that info, she came up with the most beautiful design for my bouquet, sweetheart table, arch, aisle flower, centerpieces, and flower for our parents. What she did was more beautiful that I had envisioned in my head or pinned on my Pinterest. Not only her design, but her professionalism and kindness were superb. She was very reliable. She kept in touch throughout my wedding planning journey to stay on top of the changes/updates. She gave great general recommendations with organization/decor, such as seating size per table and placement of the tables. Her expertise was greatly appreciated, and it was so wonderful to have worked with her. I recommend Dear My Event 100% and more- trust me, you won't regret it! -

My wife and I had a great experience working with Olivia to plan our wedding. We come from very different cultural backgrounds, and Olivia was very receptive to these differences when helping us plan our big day. Both of us have very specific tastes and strong personalities, and Olivia was able to take our ideas and work with us to find the exact items we needed for the ceremony and reception.
She was especially great on the wedding day when my wife and I had very little control over the festivities. She and her team organized everyone and kept everything on schedule, and showed great poise despite the day being very stressful at times.
Olivia is a great teammate and we strongly recommend her for planning your special day!

I was planning and preparing for my wedding all by myself and was facing some difficulties but then I got to know Olivia. I didn't know there was a "day of coordinator" who can help me on the wedding day. Olivia is very professional; she knew what she was doing. She helped me going to the right direction when I couldn't make decisions, she followed up with all my vendors so that the bride doesn't have to take care of things on the wedding day. If you are looking for one day coordinator, she is the one. And she will help you not just on wedding day, she will prepare and attend all the meetings prior to the wedding. Olivia and Stella are the perfect team you won't regret! -

Amazing experience!
Olivia and her team were excellent and professional throughout my entire experience with them. I am a very busy resident and straight up told Olivia and Stella that I would need their help with almost all aspects of design and florals for the wedding. We had multiple meetings so we could go over everything in detail and they were straightforward with the pricing of everything. Olivia was extremely organized and thought of everything. They totally delivered and everything was gorgeous! I got compliments from the bridal party and even guests at the wedding for how smoothly the day went, which is 100% attributed to Olivia and her team! -

DearMyEvent was the ONLY thing I didn't worry about
I've worked with DearMyEvent on my sister's wedding last year and I fell in love with their authentic style and use of color. I worked with them this year for my wedding again! I have chosen my theme color as terracotta and they have provided me with their plan on the type of flower that will be used, the color, and the style, and worked great with the pricing. I selected two different styles for my bouquet and after seeing my dress, they recommended the one that will go well with the dress, which luckily was my first choice as well. Near the wedding date, I ended up having 20 more people at my wedding. DearMyEvent stayed in touch with me (extremely fast replies to my emails). As I was just so exhausted, I was putting too many people on one table and they were so polite and sincere in recommending me a good size of people by table size. You can definitely tell how professional and experienced they are from that. On the day of the wedding, I didn't even know what to expect from the decor because I relied on them 200% and it was just beautiful! The arch, bouquet, welcome table, centerpiece, and sweetheart table are just their expertise. They asked me after the ceremony if I wanted to move my arch to the reception because it was so pretty and a waste to go for a few hours and that turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. I am so grateful to work with them and I recommend 200%+ -

We hired DME as day of coordinators and Olivia and her team completely blew us out of the water with their professionalism, coordination, responsiveness and flexibility. We had a lot of moving parts and anything I asked to be coordinated such as confetti cannons for a surprise birthday song for my husband, faking a sparkler exit, changing my dress, making sure I stay hydrated, multiple signage, etc. they made it happen seamlessly. My husband and I were able to eat every course of our dinner during reception and we did not have to worry about a thing. Hiring a day of coordinator was hands down was the best thing we did for our wedding and we can't thank Olivia and her amazing team enough! -

Phenomenal
From planning my wedding to my babies first birthday party....accommodating my endless wants and wishes. Five years ago the team covered our wedding day from start to finish which turned out amazing. Recently the team coordinated our son’s birthday party and it too was a huge success. Words can not express how much we appreciated the work the team put together in making the event so memorable. From tables to napkins...they covered it. The My Dear Event team is absolutely fantastic and if you are having a big event do yourself a favor....hire these guys, they will not disappoint. So Helpful!!
Olivia and Stella were amazing! I don't know what I would have done without them. I was a clueless bride who had not put in a ton of planning and they helped me tie everything together and make sure my day went smoothly. They picked out my flowers and provided design services and I couldn't believe how great everything looked. I was able to relax on my wedding day and know that everything was in good hands. -
